[00:00:01] One of the hallmarks of our school is the exemplary [00:00:04] cymbal orchestra Obyaro, which was founded in [00:00:07] 1993. The founder and [00:00:11] permanent leader of the group, a cymbal teacher, Master of Arts [00:00:14] Elena Borisovna Avramenko. [00:01:00] Cymbals and wind instruments. Such a composition makes the orchestra unique [00:01:03] in its kind, existing in Belarus, and indeed throughout [00:01:07] the entire [00:01:09] world. [00:01:13] Its uniqueness lies precisely in the combination of these [00:01:16] instruments according to the principle of triple music - these are the traditions [00:01:20] of Belarusian instrumental [00:01:22] performance. [00:01:26] The name Oberego, which means amulet or [00:01:29] talisman? is also very symbolic, [00:01:32] the orchestra is a kind of talisman [00:01:35] of Belarusian music in the gymnasium college [00:01:38] of arts, where [00:01:40] Committee with the assistance of students become acquainted with the culture of their [00:01:43] country, protecting our music, our [00:01:46] culture, we protect and preserve [00:01:49] ourselves. [00:01:58] reputation, [00:03:00] it attracts, they get great pleasure from it. [00:03:25] We train professional musicians, professional [00:03:28] artists. [00:03:38] city under the harsh conditions of some of them stay in the profession, someone chooses their own path, but the years spent here, in this institution, will forever [00:03:42] remain in their hearts, because [00:03:46] it was here that they learned to see beauty. [00:04:05] it's nice to realize that the gymnasium college is [00:04:08] a big, warm [00:04:10] family, [00:04:12] it's a big heart that welcomes, [00:04:16] that warms all those who come here [00:04:19] to study, [00:04:22] these are talented guys, these are wonderful teachers, [00:04:26] these are all those who create comfort in this institution, [00:04:32] this is a place where dreams [00:04:35] of Public Security of Vietnam. As a turn into reality, and [00:04:38] children become true professionals in their [00:04:41] field. [00:04:46] I have worked all my life with talented children, with [00:04:49] creative [00:04:50] teachers, [00:04:55] and this is an opportunity every [00:04:57] day to be in a creative atmosphere. walking through the [00:05:01] corridors, hearing live music from the [00:05:04] classrooms, it truly [00:05:08] inspires, [00:05:11] I find it very interesting to observe how [00:05:13] children develop, how they grow, how [00:05:17] thanks to talented teachers, art [00:05:21] and creativity ignite a fire [00:05:25] in their hearts. [00:05:28] This, perhaps, is the deep meaning of our profession. [00:06:10] A new lineup of mining equipment and global [00:06:13] corporation with one of the largest Russian companies. At the [00:06:17] Palace of Independence, the President of Belarus received [00:06:20] Vladimir, an entrepreneur, well known in business [00:06:24] circles. The companies associated with Patanin, Inter [00:06:28] Ras and Norilsk Nickel are interested in cooperating with Balls [00:06:31] and manufacturers. First and foremost, this concerns mining [00:06:34] equipment. [00:06:41] This is a multi-branch structure. We have something to [00:06:44] talk about, and I think that [00:06:47] there are points of intersection for many [00:06:50] interests, and I asked our [00:06:54] Prime Minister to somehow thoroughly [00:06:58] explain the main directions of Belarus's [00:07:00] development, and also those areas where we can [00:07:03] cooperate. Well, I assume that Vladimir [00:07:07] Olegovich himself perfectly knows where we [00:07:10] can cooperate. He is a person knowledgeable in many [00:07:13] issues. But the fact that dump [00:07:17] trucks were surprising to me, and tires, [00:07:20] Belshina is interested in our [00:07:23] production, and joint projects for [00:07:26] servicing and creating new equipment in [00:07:29] Krasnoyarsk Krai, this is also an interesting and prospective [00:07:33] project for us. And since you are a multi-branch [00:07:36] structure, there are humanitarian [00:07:39] directions and IT sphere. [00:08:12] not just to international standards, but to a fundamentally new [00:08:16] level. The parties are confident that the new R&D [00:08:19] efforts will help generate shared intellectual property, and the [00:08:23] long-term outlook will dictate greater flexibility in [00:08:26] investment. At the [00:09:33] meeting, it was noted that the cooperation should be developed with a [00:09:37] focus on the practical component. We are used to reading [00:15:42] classics, that's what people of my generation do, [00:15:45] Shamiakin, [00:15:47] but now young people are also turning to [00:15:49] literature. [00:15:53] Kostyukovi is the fifth city in Mogilev Oblast to become the [00:15:57] capital of the Day of Belarusian Writing. It was here that the [00:16:00] temporary museum of rare books was opened. The event became an important step in [00:17:28] strengthening relations between the two [00:17:30] countries. [00:18:07] was a large musical show. Mariachi musicians took the main [00:18:11] stage. In addition, a photo exhibition by Mexican authors [00:18:14] is open at the Vankovich house, where you can see the everyday life and [00:18:18] culture of this country through the eyes of its residents. [00:20:42] Minsk is always different, it surprises, delights, [00:20:45] impresses. [00:20:48] The region is a symbol of the feat of the Belarusian people and the heroic past of an [00:20:51] independent [00:20:52] country. [00:20:56] From the eternal flame of memory and Francis Skaryna Street [00:21:00] to the Tractor Plant settlement and the new district [00:21:04] Zeleniy Bor. Everything that happened during the week in the life [00:21:07] of the capital in the program "Your City". [00:21:21] National Football Stadium, Park of the 900th Anniversary of the Capital, [00:21:24] Minsk Zoo and the legendary Chizhovka [00:21:27] Arena. [00:21:32] Watch on Belarus 24 TV channel. [00:23:20] a large-scale sociological study, it covered more than 200 people and [00:23:23] 99 localities. Tell us about the results of this [00:23:27] study and most importantly, why it became [00:23:30] such a significant project, why such an idea was born, why it is important [00:23:34] now to talk about the results and what these results [00:23:38] can say about our society as a whole? Yes, thank [00:23:40] you very much, [00:23:44] dear viewers, dear [00:23:47] listeners, the Institute of Sociology [00:24:29] of our society, which directions of state [00:24:33] policy are successfully implemented, [00:24:36] meet the interests, needs of people, where [00:24:39] there are certain issues that should be brought [00:24:43] to the focus of attention of relevant government [00:24:45] agencies, to the focus of attention [00:24:49] of journalists. community in order to [00:24:52] get the most reliable, [00:24:56] complete and exhaustive answers to the questions that [00:25:00] interested us, that interested the client, and [00:25:03] the client in this study was the Belarusian [00:25:06] Institute for Strategic Studies. We [00:25:09] approached the formation of our toolkit very carefully. [00:25:13] First of all, the toolkit in this case was [00:25:16] a questionnaire. We offered this questionnaire [00:25:20] to be filled out by respondents. [00:25:22] Residents of 99 localities were [00:25:26] surveyed. A representative [00:25:29] sample was formed. The sample [00:25:32] is those people who directly answered [00:25:36] the questions that our [00:25:38] interviewers offered. The basis of this sample [00:25:42] is, first of all, [00:25:44] the structure of the population of our country, the current [00:25:48] data of our National Statistical [00:25:51] Committee, and in our sample [00:25:55] are reflected, just as in the structure of the general [00:25:58] population, male and female population, [00:26:01] residents of large cities and [00:26:04] small localities. In our sample, [00:26:07] the population is represented with different levels of [00:26:11] education, with different marital status, [00:26:14] and this allows us today [00:26:17] to use the results of this study and [00:26:21] to consider them as truly accurate [00:26:24] diagnostics of those opinions that [00:26:28] our respondents shared with us. Well, [00:26:32] the overall need for such a large-scale [00:26:35] study is dictated by the fact [00:26:38] that we are currently [00:26:41] participating in the implementation of the program [00:26:44] of socio-economic development of the country. [00:26:47] The first year of the five-year plan [00:26:50] is coming to an end, and we were focused on getting [00:26:54] such results that would allow us [00:26:57] to diagnose [00:27:01] the success of various types of activities [00:27:04] that we all implement together. Thank you. [00:27:08] One of the striking results of the entire [00:27:12] study was the fact that [00:27:15] 85% of Belarusians, as [00:27:18] the highest value, spoke about peaceful life, and indeed peace. [00:27:22] How can this be explained from the point of view of both [00:27:26] sociology and philosophy? Why is such a value [00:27:29] in a leading position today? Here, [00:27:32] we must first of all proceed from [00:27:36] our domestic Belarusian realities. We live under a peaceful [00:27:40] sky, we all have the opportunity [00:27:43] to work, get an [00:27:47] education, spend our free time [00:27:50] as we wish, [00:27:52] and not worry too much [00:27:56] that something will happen, [00:27:59] or rather, it is necessary to worry about it, but [00:28:03] what we see outside our country especially [00:28:07] emphasizes the importance of living in peaceful [00:28:10] conditions, so the value of peaceful life is [00:28:13] primarily dictated by [00:28:16] the opportunity to compare, to contrast, what is happening with us and what [00:28:20] is happening, unfortunately, in other [00:28:23] countries, in other regions of the world, and how fragile this [00:28:27] world can sometimes be, and from this it is necessary to draw conclusions [00:28:31] in order to maintain it. Efforts are needed not only from [00:28:34] the law enforcement agencies, the military-industrial complex, [00:28:37] the army, not only from the state [00:28:40] itself, but also from each of us, the [00:28:43] President constantly says that you [00:28:46] work, give me the economy, [00:28:49] the rest of the issues are my competence, and it must be said [00:28:52] that this competence [00:28:56] is fully realized here, but this is not a reason [00:28:59] to believe [00:29:03] that since it has been this way for almost [00:29:06] 100 years, the Great Patriotic [00:29:09] War ended in 1945, that [00:29:12] this peaceful sky is absolutely guaranteed to us [00:29:16] without our own efforts, [00:29:19] without working at our workplace, [00:29:22] to ensure such a peaceful sky will be [00:29:26] hardly possible. Well, at the heart [00:29:30] of this value are not only [00:29:32] the results of such everyday comparative [00:29:36] analysis, but certainly, our [00:29:39] traditional life wisdom, traditional [00:29:42] values, to which we sometimes [00:29:45] relate more skeptically than [00:29:49] required, are reflected here. In [00:29:52] fact, the well-known saying "that there should be no war," as [00:29:56] paradoxical as it may sound, the first [00:29:58] quarter of the 21st century is already ending. [00:30:02] But it is more relevant than ever, therefore, at the base of such [00:30:06] a distribution of opinions here, actually, are the opinions of people [00:30:10] who emphasize this, our life [00:30:13] philosophy, which proves its [00:30:16] validity in this regard. [00:30:19] In the list of what Belarusians are proud of, [00:30:23] social protection, product quality, [00:30:26] cleanliness of cities, and preservation of historical memory were also [00:30:30] particularly noted. In your opinion, how are these values [00:30:33] generally related to each other, why is this particular set of values [00:30:37] at the forefront of our society today? I believe [00:30:40] that the set of values that we have [00:30:44] just defined perfectly characterizes our [00:30:46] daily life, our daily life as a society [00:30:50] as a whole. [00:30:52] целом, [00:30:54] Here are the directions of state [00:30:58] policy that ensure precisely both [00:31:01] social protection and [00:31:05] the emphasis on us all working qualitatively, [00:31:08] effectively, efficiently. This is reflected [00:31:12] in the assortment [00:31:15] of goods and services that are available [00:31:19] to every resident of our country. There is [00:31:22] a very reverent attitude to the cleanliness [00:31:26] of our settlements, and I believe it is very [00:31:29] interesting, useful, and necessary for [00:31:32] both Belarusians and non-Belarusians to visit [00:31:36] absolutely any of our settlements to make sure that [00:31:40] the most comfortable living conditions have been created [00:31:43] here, and clean [00:31:45] streets, painted [00:31:48] curbs, [00:31:50] order in public places, this [00:31:53] is not a sign that some guest [00:31:56] will arrive, this is an attribute of our absolute [00:31:59] daily life, and this is also a reflection of our [00:32:02] character, our mentality, our culture, the desire for [00:32:06] order, the desire for harmony, the desire to [00:32:10] do everything not just effectively, efficiently, but to do everything [00:32:14] beautifully. This whole [00:32:17] set of values expresses and represents [00:32:21] the result not only of those [00:32:24] areas of activity that the state [00:32:27] implements, but in this our own inner [00:32:30] world is reflected, we live like [00:32:33] this at home, in this way we organize [00:32:37] our working life, our daily life, [00:32:40] we strive for this, so in total, why is it [00:32:43] so, well, it's everything, [00:32:47] this is who we are. And you have already mentioned twice today about work, [00:32:50] that it is really necessary to be very careful about your [00:32:53] workplace, and indeed, if everyone works, does their job [00:32:57] professionally and well, this is the basis of both security and well-being [00:33:01] of all citizens. And what part [00:33:04] of the research concerned specifically work ethics, [00:33:07] work, and what were the results of the [00:33:11] study, what did people say, what do they pay attention to? [00:33:15] When we talk about work, I want to, in response to your [00:33:18] question, to suggest, [00:33:22] well, think for yourselves and I will make my comment [00:33:26] on the distribution of people's opinions about [00:33:29] how much they are willing to work [00:33:32] a lot or work less, and rest more. So, [00:33:35] more than half of the respondents, when answering [00:33:38] the question, "What do you want, to work more, [00:33:42] to work more, or to have a little..." [00:35:15] In this particular study, this is the age group from 18 to [00:35:18] 30 years old, and I can [00:35:22] assume that, probably, for that part [00:35:25] that is still at university, [00:35:28] that has not yet started a family, [00:35:32] obviously for this group, it will probably [00:35:36] be a greater priority to [00:35:38] somehow manage their free time more. But after [00:35:42] this period of growing [00:35:45] up, when people come to their workplace, [00:35:49] when they begin to understand more clearly that life [00:35:53] success is achieved through work, everything that we aspire [00:35:56] to and strive for can only be achieved through [00:36:00] labor, here these accents shift, well, [00:36:03] and for an older category of respondents, for [00:36:07] that category that is already of [00:36:11] retirement age, it's absolutely reasonable, probably, [00:36:15] to a certain extent, career, professional [00:36:18] success, self-realization, this [00:36:21] is a matter of the present, and a little bit of [00:36:24] the past, and there is more aspiration to [00:36:27] focus on managing one's [00:36:31] free time, which is also a wonderful trend, [00:36:34] meaning it indicates that there is an opportunity to [00:36:38] truly concentrate on other aspects of one's [00:36:42] life. Well, if we talk about the quality of life, these [00:36:45] data show that 88% are satisfied [00:36:48] with trade work, and 65% [00:36:51] are satisfied with healthcare, more than 60% with housing and utilities services, [00:36:54] these are quite high indicators, even overall, if we take [00:36:58] average global indicators for developed, developing countries [00:37:02] and so on. But what about those who are truly dissatisfied? [00:37:06] Today we are talking about the majority, about the results when people are truly [00:37:10] satisfied, but there are, we understand, those who are dissatisfied, that's absolutely [00:37:13] normal. What problems do they mention [00:37:16] and how do you then transmit these signals [00:37:19] to the relevant services to address [00:37:22] this? I'll go back a little [00:37:26] to the beginning of the question. I want to say that [00:37:28] the figures that you [00:37:31] mentioned, some of these figures, I can repeat them: 88% [00:37:35] of respondents answered affirmatively to the question that yes, they [00:37:38] are satisfied with trade, 65% [00:37:41] with healthcare, more than 60% [00:37:44] with services, approximately the same percentage, more than [00:37:47] 60% are satisfied with the condition [00:37:50] of roads and other aspects. So [00:37:53] the results [00:37:56] of the study that we just conducted [00:37:59] are higher than the data we [00:38:03] had 5 years ago, in 2021 we [00:38:06] asked similar questions, we ask them in a monitoring [00:38:10] mode. First of all, I would like to emphasize this [00:38:14] positive dynamic. The second [00:38:17] aspect of this question is related to the fact [00:38:20] that our state, and we [00:38:24] ourselves, and the country, we are very... [00:39:58] attention, as for those issues, [00:40:01] that our respondents pay attention to, they are certainly [00:40:05] present, the shelves of all Belarusian [00:40:08] stores are filled [00:40:11] with goods of various qualities, these goods are presented [00:40:15] in various price ranges, but as one of the questions, and [00:40:18] there is no news here, [00:40:22] Belarusians are concerned that prices are rising, these [00:40:26] questions are about... [00:41:27] in the polyclinic, in the hospital, it's sometimes [00:41:31] difficult to get an appointment for a consultation with the necessary [00:41:34] specialist. The problem of medical staff [00:41:38] shortages also exists. For this, [00:41:42] the state is doing a very serious job, in particular [00:41:45] the enrollment in medical universities for state-funded [00:41:48] education is significantly expanding. These are issues [00:41:52] that certainly did not arise [00:41:55] today, here and now, but at the same time, it is necessary to understand [00:41:59] that during, for example, one admission [00:42:02] campaign or graduation campaign from a university across the country, [00:42:06] it is difficult to answer all such [00:42:10] problematic issues, well, it's also quite difficult, if [00:42:14] it's even possible at all, so this is a priority that [00:42:17] is in the focus of attention of both the head of state and the government. [00:42:20] If we talk about housing and communal [00:42:23] services, yes, we are talking [00:42:27] about a sufficiently high percentage of respondents [00:42:30] who evaluate it positively, but sometimes resonant issues [00:42:34] arise, largely also due to the fact that perhaps [00:42:38] excessive emphasis is placed on... [00:43:10] where they are dissatisfied with something, this also reaches the [00:43:12] relevant authorities and services, we work with this, this is the key [00:43:16] question, absolutely right, and moreover, in the development [00:43:19] of this direction of our conversation, the results [00:43:23] of this study are widely presented, in this [00:43:27] regard we are grateful to our journalist colleagues who give [00:43:30] us the opportunity to convey to all [00:43:34] those who wish to hear it, this picture of affairs. [00:43:37] The second point is related to the fact that they project. Our [00:43:41] customers were given a strict requirement [00:43:44] to obtain the most objective [00:43:47] picture. Well, the third point is the work [00:43:51] on the tools, on those problematic [00:43:54] issues that we planned to study. We [00:43:58] attracted a number of experts who [00:44:02] helped to crystallize [00:44:04] exactly those topics, those questions that are directly [00:44:08] in focus. Sometimes [00:45:15] we just keep silent about it, but the state does a lot of work, [00:45:18] thank you for that, and to the Institute of Strategic Studies, that all these [00:45:22] issues do not just remain somewhere and the work continues. [00:45:26] It's also interesting to know about the fact that [00:45:29] the study covered all regions, it's very interesting, are there [00:45:33] differences between, for example, residents of the capital, they always say: Minsk [00:45:36] thinks differently, you have it this way, we have it that way. [00:45:40] But our head of state always says that everyone should have [00:45:43] equal conditions, access to all resources, [00:45:47] tell us, are there these differences between regional centers, residents [00:45:51] of rural areas, the capital, in priority, level of maybe [00:45:55] satisfaction and so on. Yes, certainly, certain [00:45:58] differences exist, but despite all that, such [00:46:01] differences do not have [00:46:04] any, so to speak, resonant, [00:46:08] cardinal character. There are no global [00:46:11] discrepancies, contradictions in the assessments given by [00:46:15] residents of rural areas and urban areas, [00:46:18] and since I said that [00:46:22] certain differences, of course, exist, [00:46:25] residents of the capital, residents of large cities, [00:46:28] they are, it turns out, more critically inclined towards [00:46:32] certain aspects of their [00:46:36] life, towards certain aspects [00:46:39] that characterize the development of a given locality. Rural [00:46:43] residents are more loyal in this regard, as for [00:46:47] the assessment of the quality of life, the standard [00:46:50] of living, [00:47:52] which is happening now thanks to you, for which many thanks, [00:47:55] it is not a single act, we [00:47:58] promptly inform about the results of the conducted [00:48:02] research to our government, and [00:48:06] this information becomes available, [00:48:09] so to speak, for wide use, thanks to the fact that [00:48:13] journalists are interested in population [00:48:16] surveys, so feedback [00:48:20] works and... in those areas [00:48:24] that you mentioned, the increase [00:48:27] in satisfaction with the work of retail [00:48:30] facilities, and opportunities for [00:48:33] leisure, this is also a consequence of the fact [00:48:36] that local authorities respond [00:48:39] to those moments of dissatisfaction, to those moments that [00:48:43] are not problems, but rather points of application of efforts, [00:48:46] and such communication [00:48:50] ensures our ability to [00:48:53] continue to develop. National Unity Day is approaching, [00:48:56] it's very interesting how the intersection of interests of different [00:49:00] groups of the Belarusian population, we talked about the gender composition, age [00:49:03] composition, different regions, how [00:49:07] the intersection of interests helps to strengthen the unity of our [00:49:10] country, in your opinion? Well, [00:49:13] I support the thesis of the intersection of interests, [00:49:17] when in [00:49:19] our work, [00:49:21] and not only through [00:49:24] conducting such public opinion [00:49:27] surveys, but we [00:49:31] see, we observe what is happening, this is also [00:49:34] a source of information, we do not [00:49:37] observe, and the results of our surveys do not record [00:49:41] any differences, not just fundamental, but even significant [00:49:45] differences in the assessment of certain aspects of our life [00:49:49] between men and women, between urban and rural residents, [00:49:52] between those who live in large cities and district [00:49:56] centers. Yes, between age groups, [00:49:59] certain differences certainly exist, but these differences are [00:50:03] precisely the basis for more concentrating [00:50:07] certain directions, efforts, either of the state [00:50:10] as a whole, or of local authorities, on some [00:50:14] key issues related, for example, [00:50:17] to urban improvement, or to equipping places, [00:50:21] including [00:50:52] the celebration of National Unity Day, these [00:50:55] traditions are supported by our state [00:50:58] policy.
