[02:04:29] the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic
[02:04:33] affirmed in a press statement that the relationship
[02:04:36] between Algeria and Slovakia is entering a new era
[02:04:39] with the opening of a Slovak
[02:04:40] Embassy in Algeria.
[02:04:44] I am pleased to announce
[02:04:48] of joint cooperation between the Slovak Republic
[02:04:51] and Algeria. Today we are opening the Embassy of the Slovak
[02:04:55] Republic in Algeria,
[02:04:59] preparation and work that lasted
[02:05:01] two years. Today we want to
[02:05:05] develop this cooperation based on the principles
[02:05:08] of respect, stability, and joint
[02:05:10] work. I held very
[02:05:14] fruitful discussions with the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
[02:05:17] in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Attaf, where we discussed
[02:05:21] many issues and signed important documents,
[02:05:24] most notably the agreement on economic
[02:05:27] cooperation, which represents a fundamental
[02:05:30] pillar for establishing a joint governmental
[02:05:33] committee for economic cooperation,
[02:05:37] in addition to a memorandum
[02:05:40] of understanding on cooperation in the field of academic
[02:05:43] diplomacy. We agreed to cooperate
[02:05:46] in the Security Council and the United
[02:05:50] those who supported Algeria's efforts to become
[02:05:54] a non-permanent member. We also
[02:05:57] from Algeria as well, and we are
[02:06:01] eagerly looking forward to 2029,
[02:06:04] to benefit from
[02:06:07] field.
[02:06:10] The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak
[02:06:14] Republic also affirmed that Algeria is a key
[02:06:17] partner for Slovakia in our specific field.
[02:06:21] We have many things to do, and I would
[02:06:24] like to raise a very important issue when
[02:06:28] it comes to our future cooperation, which
[02:06:31] is the issue of gas.
[02:06:35] Algeria is the third largest gas supplier
[02:06:37] to the European Union, and it
[02:06:41] is also a key partner for Slovakia,
[02:06:44] not only for this reason, but also
[02:06:47] because of the pipeline connection that
[02:06:50] passes through Italy to the European
[02:06:54] Union and to the Slovak Republic
[02:06:57] as well. Therefore, the first task for
[02:07:01] us is to complete the contract related to purchasing
[02:07:04] gas from your country, and I am very happy
[02:07:08] that these discussions have already begun a few
[02:07:11] weeks ago in Berlin and continue
[02:07:14] today in Algiers. We hope to
[02:07:18] complete it soon. We also agreed to
[02:07:22] hold the first joint economic committee between Slovakia
[02:07:25] and Algeria in Slovakia early
[02:07:28] next year with the aim of identifying future
[02:07:31] areas of cooperation. After that, our
[02:07:35] Prime Minister, Mr. Fico, intends
[02:07:38] to visit Algeria accompanied by a delegation of
[02:07:41] businessmen. I also convey to you an invitation from our
[02:07:45] President, Mr. Peter
[02:07:48] Pellegrini, to His Excellency
[02:07:52] your President.
[02:07:54] The presence of the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs
[02:07:58] Committee in our parliament confirms the importance of
[02:08:01] parliamentary diplomacy in developing our relations. We
[02:08:05] also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in higher education,
[02:08:08] technology, and benefiting from Slovakia's experience in defense
[02:08:12] industries. However, the most
[02:08:16] important basis for our cooperation is the commitment of our two
[02:08:20] countries to international law and the peaceful
[02:08:23] settlement of disputes, which is a firmly established
[02:08:25] principle in our foreign policy. My first visit to Algeria was special,
[02:08:30] and we found true friends.
[02:08:32] As a member of both the European
[02:08:36] Union and NATO, we share
[02:08:40] many areas of cooperation. Algeria is a partner of the European
[02:08:44] Union and NATO, which
[02:08:48] allows us to expand our partnership at various
[02:08:51] levels. I thank you very much

[02:08:58] fruitful and sustainable cooperation between the Slovak

[02:09:06] The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National
[02:09:09] Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, today
[02:09:13] oversaw, along with his Slovak counterpart, Juraj
[02:09:16] Blanár, the official inauguration ceremony of the Embassy
[02:09:19] of the Slovak Republic in Algeria, a significant milestone in the development
[02:09:23] of relations between the two countries, reflecting the shared will
[02:09:27] to strengthen mutual diplomatic presence, intensify
[02:09:30] institutional communication, and open new horizons
[02:09:34] for developing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
[02:09:37] On this occasion, Attaf praised the depth of the relationship
[02:09:40] between Algeria and Slovakia, emphasizing that strengthening
[02:09:43] mutual diplomatic representation would contribute to solidifying
[02:09:46] political dialogue and facilitating communication between various
[02:09:50] institutions and economic
[02:09:51] actors.
[02:09:56] The Prime Minister, Mr. Gharib, chaired a meeting
[02:10:00] of the Government Council dedicated to studying a number
[02:10:03] of files related to amending the Penal Code,
[02:10:06] addressing the damages resulting from the recent fires that
[02:10:10] affected some provinces of the country, in addition to the unified
[02:10:14] digital system for regulating and supplying the national
[02:10:17] market. The government also studied
[02:10:20] a preliminary draft whose provisions were adjusted in light of the high
[02:10:24] instructions of the President of the Republic during the last
[02:10:27] Council of Ministers meeting, related to imposing the death
[02:10:31] penalty against those who deliberately start and plan fires,
[02:10:34] with the actual execution of this penalty on the perpetrators
[02:10:37] of these crimes, as well as on kidnappers
[02:10:40] and abusers of children. In the same context,
[02:10:44] the government listened to presentations on the progress
[02:10:48] for those affected by the recent
[02:10:52] implemented this week, in accordance with the instructions
[02:10:55] of the President of the Republic issued during the aforementioned
[02:10:59] Council of Ministers meeting, and the progress of the rehabilitation
[02:11:02] process of various facilities, equipment, and networks affected
[02:11:06] by the recent fires, where the
[02:11:09] networks affected by electricity, gas, water, landline,
[02:11:13] mobile, and internet was recorded, in addition to
[02:11:17] the opening of all roads that suffered damage or closure
[02:11:20] due to the fires, and the process is nearing its end
[02:11:24] with regard to the rehabilitation of other affected public
[02:11:27] facilities, especially affected primary schools, before
[02:11:31] the end of the week, thanks to the mobilization
[02:11:36] and material resources, in coordination with the governors,
[02:11:39] local authorities, and various relevant departments and institutions.
[02:11:42] It was decided, starting today, to establish
[02:11:45] appeal committees at the municipal and district levels of the affected
[02:11:49] provinces, to rule on all possible appeals regarding
[02:11:52] the process of assessing compensation for the concerned
[02:11:55] citizens. The government will remain mobilized until
[02:11:59] all those affected are compensated before the end
[02:12:01] of, or before, September 15th.
[02:12:05] The government also listened, within the framework
[02:12:08] of the national strategy for digital transformation
[02:12:11] 2025-2003, to a presentation on the unified digital
[02:12:15] system for regulating and supplying the national
[02:12:18] market, which will allow real-time
[02:12:21] monitoring of price
[02:12:24] of various goods, enabling immediate intervention to regulate
[02:12:28] the national market and address
[02:12:29] any potential
[02:12:33] imbalances. Today, the Minister of Interior,
[02:12:37] Local Authorities, and Transport, Saeed Saeed, chaired a coordination
[02:12:40] meeting with the governors
[02:12:42] of the Republic via remote video conferencing, dedicated
[02:12:46] to discussing and following up on a number of priority
[02:12:49] files, especially continuing to accelerate compensation
[02:12:53] operations and care for those
[02:12:54] affected by forest fires,
[02:12:57] preparations for the 2026/2027 academic year, and ensuring
[02:13:00] the readiness of various structures and means related
[02:13:03] to it, preparing for the autumn season and taking proactive and preventive measures
[02:13:07] in anticipation of weather fluctuations and ensuring
[02:13:10] readiness to intervene and address citizens' concerns.
[02:13:14] This meeting comes within the framework of continuous follow-up
[02:13:17] on various files directly
[02:13:19] strengthening coordination
[02:13:21] and proactive work at the local
[02:13:24] level. In embodiment of the state's
[02:13:27] commitment to taking care of farmers affected by the recent
[02:13:30] fires, at an accelerated pace, the process of compensating
[02:13:34] for losses, especially livestock, is underway in Jijel
[02:13:38] province, allowing agricultural activity to return to its

[02:16:00] are arriving successively to their beneficiaries in
[02:16:03] the affected provinces, amidst great relief among breeders,
[02:16:07] such as Bejaia province, where the compensation process
[02:16:10] for losses has reached an advanced stage,

[02:23:11] facilities and creating axes that achieve great fluidity in

[02:23:17] The dualization project of the national road linking
[02:23:21] Oran and Ain Témouchent is another vital project
[02:23:24] that is relied upon to strengthen the road
[02:23:28] network and support economic activity in industrial
[02:23:31] zones along the route,
[02:23:33] says Mokhtar Al-Madkour. The project to dualize
[02:23:37] the national road linking Oran and Ain Témouchent,
[02:23:40] with a length of 12 kilometers, has strategic
[02:23:43] importance as one of the axes with an economic

[02:28:08] during separate operations across the national territory. And in
[02:28:11] the context of combating organized crime and in continuation of the diligent efforts

[02:28:18] in our country, joint detachments of the People's National Army,
[02:28:22] in coordination with various security services, arrested 35
[02:28:25] drug traffickers and foiled attempts to smuggle three quintals
[02:28:31] processed cannabis across the borders with Morocco, while 21986
[02:28:35] 21986
[02:28:38] hallucinogenic pills were seized. This was during operations across the military regions
[02:28:42] and in each of Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Illizi, and Ain
[02:28:45] Salah, detachments of the People's National Army arrested

[02:30:53] a meticulously planned conspiracy whose details were woven

[02:31:03] facilitated the crossing of these large crowds towards the Ceuta
[02:31:06] enclave, in full view of the Moroccan security forces.
