[00:00:32] Good evening, everyone. Good evening. Today is October 10th,
[00:00:35] Saturday, the first day of the ninth lunar month . Welcome to watch
[00:00:38] . First, let me introduce the main contents of today's program
[00:00:42] . General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that strengthening basic research is
[00:00:46] a critical requirement for achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement
[00:00:50] . It is the only way to build a world scientific and technological power. Since the beginning of
[00:00:53] this year, our country has strengthened basic research with greater efforts and more
[00:00:57] practical measures. A number of innovative achievements are being
[00:01:32] made. The autumn harvest is more than half complete, and autumn and winter sowing has begun successively. Japanese
[00:01:35] civilian groups submitted a petition to relevant Japanese departments,
[00:01:39] opposing the government's military expansion and armament. Russia will supply
[00:01:43] oil to the United States and the global market . The United States will ease sanctions
[00:01:54] of the entire scientific system, and it is the general headquarters for all technical problems
[00:01:57] . General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: Strengthening basic research
[00:02:01] is a critical requirement for achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement
[00:02:05] , and it is the only way to build a world scientific and technological power
[00:02:08] . In the first year of 155, our country has strengthened
[00:02:12] basic research with greater efforts and more practical measures. A number of
[00:02:16] achievements from the original and bottom-level breakthroughs are being transformed
[00:02:25] strong current heavy ion accelerator, a large scientific device that has just been completed, has been running
[00:02:29] for only one
[00:02:49] . Facing new challenges and opportunities, General Secretary Xi Jinping, understanding the international situation, pointed out that basic research
[00:02:53] is at the beginning of the scientific research chain from research to application
[00:02:57] and then to production. If the foundation is solid, the scientific and technological
[00:03:01] cause can reach new heights . In 2024, at
[00:03:04] the National Science and Technology Conference, he proposed that having strong
[00:03:07] basic research and original innovation capabilities is the first of
[00:03:11] the five basic elements that a technologically powerful country must possess
[00:03:15] . In early 2026 , a symposium on strengthening basic research
[00:03:18] was held and arrangements were made, requiring that basic research should be further
[00:03:22] clarified based on national urgent needs and long-term demands.
[00:03:26] The main direction and key areas of research. Unified promotion
[00:04:26] . The Ministry of Science and Technology further strengthened the unified management of tasks and functions, established and improved major task departments and localities .
[00:05:01] The Chinese Academy of Sciences, based on chemical observations, artificial
[00:05:05] synthesis of cells, and other frontier issues , organized superior forces
[00:05:08] to carry out systematic and institutionalized scientific and technological research. We have
[00:05:42] created the world's largest neutral inclination library and released the international
[00:05:46] first evolving pulsar triple system, which provides an important
[00:05:50] reference for studying the structure of the universe and the evolution of the core
[00:05:54] . Towards extreme observation, the scientific
[00:05:57] research institutes and universities formed a research team that recently
[00:06:01] jointly confirmed the existence of a new state of matter composed of interests,
[00:06:05] solving a physical mystery that has puzzled scientists for nearly half a century
[00:06:09] . Towards extreme conditions, our country successfully extended the range of
[00:07:06] scientists in our country to analyze the molecular mechanisms of crop dormancy and yield reduction, opening up new paths for increasing grain production . Based on information metamaterials
[00:07:10] , a new architecture for wireless communication systems provides forward-looking basic
[00:07:13] support for 6G technology . Innovative research and development
[00:07:17] of new principles and systems for integrated urban cycle, and advanced
[00:07:21] compressed air energy storage technology have achieved new breakthroughs.
[00:07:25] This is of great value to our country's energy security and the realization of dual carbon goals
[00:07:28] . From chips to communication to grain
[00:07:32] and energy, the root of every strategic breakthrough is basic
[00:07:36] research. From zero to one in the laboratory strongly supports
[00:07:40] from 1 to n on the production line. To achieve the strategic goal
[00:07:43] of building a technologically strong country by 2035, we must comprehensively
[00:07:47] strengthen basic research and strive to improve original innovation
[00:07:51] capabilities. The vast number of scientific and technological workers will live
[00:07:54] up to their mission and move forward bravely on the new journey of accelerating
[00:07:58] the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and building a technologically strong country
[00:08:07] activity time and the widest activity range during the Red Army's Long March
[00:08:10] . As time flies, the spirit of the great Long March
[00:08:14] and the spirit of the Zunyi Conference inspire the cadres and masses of Guizhou
[00:08:24] to 17th, 1935, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held
