[00:43:44] rare short-tailed female Northeast tiger. It is understood that the tail length
[00:43:48] of adult Northeast tigers is mostly 80 to 120 centimeters.
[00:43:52] The tail of this female Northeast tiger is significantly shorter than that of ordinary tigers.

[00:43:59] its short tail is congenital and not caused by external injury. After comparison
[00:44:03] and judgment, it is believed to be a newly appeared individual.
[00:44:07] Through continuous monitoring and tracking, staff confirmed that this wild short-tailed
[00:44:11] female Northeast tiger has been stably active in this area for a long time
[00:44:15] and has not shown any signs of migrating away. Its activity area
[00:44:18] highly overlaps with the activity range of the wild Northeast tiger Wanda Mountain No. 1,
[00:44:22] which was previously rescued and released. Recently, infrared cameras have also repeatedly
[00:44:26] captured images of Wanda Mountain No. 1 patrolling and hunting.
[00:44:30] Scientists and experts speculate that there is a possibility of natural mating and reproduction between the two wild tigers.
[00:44:34] Currently, there are five Northeast tigers active in this area. Among them, the activities
[00:44:37] of two female tigers overlap. The survival of female tigers
[00:44:41] is an important indicator of population reproduction.
[00:44:45] Adult male tigers will follow the scent of female tigers to form a family.
[00:44:49] Although no images of two tigers together have been captured yet, there is a possibility
[00:44:52] of mating. It is understood that the Dongning section of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park
[00:44:56] is directly connected to Russia's Leopard Land National Park and Bolshaya
[00:45:00] Ussurka Strict Nature Reserve, making it a key ecological corridor
[00:45:04] for the cross-border dispersal and exchange of Northeast tigers and leopards.
