[00:01:07] our top story. The federal government has constituted a
[00:01:11] 10 member independent committee to investigate the reported deaths
[00:01:15] of 37 people held in the custody
[00:01:17] of the Nigeria Security and civil defense core
[00:01:20] NSCDC in Niger State on suspition of
[00:01:24] illegal mining. The
[00:01:26] of minister of of interior, Mr.
[00:01:31] of of of Tunjo said the investigation. followed the directive from President Bolatubu for a comprehensive and transparent probe into the
[00:01:35] incident which occurred on September the 17th
[00:01:38] 2026. The committee is to establish the
[00:01:42] identities
[00:01:42] of the deceased and investigate their arrest, detention
[00:01:46] and the circumstances surrounding their
[00:01:48] of debts. It is also expected to determine
[00:01:51] responsibility, negligence or misconduct and
[00:01:55] recommend appropriate action, including compensation were
[00:01:58] applicable. The Minister has directed the NSCDC leadership
[00:02:02] and all relevant officers to cooperate with the investigation and
[00:02:06] preserve all records and evidence connected to the
[00:02:09] incident. He warned that attempts to destroy evidence,
[00:02:13] of intimidate, witnesses or obstruct the probe would be treated as a
[00:02:17] serious
[00:02:18] of offense. 20 officers in addition to the nager state
[00:02:21] commandant have been suspended pending the outcome

[00:06:45] In furtherance of efforts to strengthen its teach Nigeria forward
[00:06:49] campaign, the federal government plans to produce one million
[00:06:53] skilled and digitally certified vocational and
[00:06:56] technical teachers within five years. The executive
[00:07:00] secretary the National Commission for Colleges and of Education,
[00:07:04] NCCE, Dr. Angela Jalla disclosed this in
[00:07:08] Gombes Gombe State during an engagement with Provosts of colleges
[00:07:12] of education from the six northeast states. the program
[00:07:16] will enable colleges of education to award degree, NCE and
[00:07:20] skills certificates, combining academic qualifications with

[00:26:10] four suspects were allegedly engaged as laborers to
[00:26:14] process, smoke and dry the meat in form of
