[00:00:00] and experienced diplomats [00:00:03] were offered, but they refused [00:00:05] such an offer. As [00:00:09] for the second question, what was it? I [00:00:13] was surprised, I expressed surprise that the entire head [00:00:16] of the foreign intelligence service, whose family, by the way, [00:00:19] lives in the United States, I don't know how ethical, correct, and [00:00:22] safe it is, but he went to the United States and [00:00:26] didn't know that such a surprise would happen here. [00:00:30] This is also a good question, whether [00:00:32] this is a qualification, whether this shows the qualification of the foreign [00:00:36] intelligence service, probably yes, hmm, but honestly, [00:00:39] our guru, well, this is my [00:00:42] personal perception, it works in principle better [00:00:46] historically with information gathering, and well, [00:00:50] plus, in principle, we [00:00:53] don't conduct intelligence against the United [00:00:56] States, no, well, just such... information, [00:01:00] you know, Russia is a party to the agreement, we are conducting intelligence [00:01:03] against Russia, but if the HUR is silent, if the HUR was not asked, [00:01:07] then it did not share this information, then the HUR [00:01:10] knew, and the SZR did not know, [00:01:13] this is a question for the HUR, [00:01:16] clear, Mr. Ambassador, please react, you know, to these [00:01:19] words of Yegor, that it is difficult to find [00:01:22] a person who can be sent to the United States, who would [00:01:25] immediately have good relations with Democrats and [00:01:29] Republicans. started working, from what you know, [00:01:32] understand, see, is this really such a super difficult task [00:01:35] now? Well, first of all, what does it mean, really, [00:01:38] unreal, it's necessary, of course, it's [00:01:41] very difficult, because I understand [00:01:45] that the president needs to find a person who can [00:01:48] work and at the same time, who would be absolutely his [00:01:52] person, this is always such a dilemma for any [00:01:55] president, now it is brought to, well, [00:01:58] let's say, to the highest [00:02:00] degree. [00:02:03] And such people exist, well, they obviously exist, they need [00:02:06] to be looked for, well, again, how to find a person who would be [00:02:10] both professionally suitable and [00:02:13] meet the criteria of loyalty to the president, and it seems [00:02:16] to me that the second is even more important for him, [00:02:20] this is a big question, and this question is not for me, not for [00:02:24] the panelists, this question is for the President [00:02:27] of Ukraine. Oleksiy, finish, perhaps you [00:02:31] have something to add, regarding the ambassador, maybe you have some options, candidates, because you only [00:02:34] criticize, maybe you can suggest something, [00:02:38] I don't just criticize, I just suggested, in [00:02:41] principle, this whole thing has been discussed for 10 days [00:02:44] now, my plan, some like it, some [00:02:48] don't, but at least I suggested something, I don't hear any other proposals in principle, [00:02:52] I hear from a colleague, well, we won't have intelligence data, we won't have weapons, well, [00:02:56] okay, nothing, we'll survive, or something else like that, well, this is, well... [00:03:00] in my opinion, these are not serious answers, so I just suggest, as [00:03:03] for suggesting personnel, well, why, so that no one would ever [00:03:07] appoint these people, I don't believe that in the country, I don't just not believe, please, [00:03:11] on this broadcast, Mr. Shamshur, he was an excellent [00:03:15] ambassador of Ukraine to the USA and France, in France I [00:03:18] especially know his work at that time, I also headed [00:03:21] the Ukraine-France friendship group there, I saw his [00:03:24] work, he is a strong ambassador, that you can't find anyone, appoint Mr. [00:03:28] Oleg, such... he is not the only one, and this list can [00:03:31] be continued, indeed, if you only look among your [00:03:35] closest circle, we see how Zelensky appoints ambassadors, [00:03:38] former Prosecutor General Venediktova in Switzerland, former [00:03:41] Prosecutor General Kostin in the Netherlands, everywhere some [00:03:45] friends, acquaintances, acquaintances of acquaintances, and this [00:03:48] is generally a separate question, how our diplomatic [00:03:51] service functions, how this demotivates [00:03:53] diplomacy, [00:03:56] thank you, gentlemen, I just want to draw attention to the fact that indeed now in these last... [00:04:00] many people are paying attention to the absence of an ambassador and are saying that [00:04:03] this is a very important factor that played a negative role [00:04:07] in this case. People's deputies, Yegor Chernyev, Servant of the People, Oleksiy [00:04:10] Honcharenko, European Solidarity, and with us was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Oleh Shamshur, [00:04:14] we talked about what is happening in relations between Kyiv and Washington, how can this [00:04:18] be saved and improved now? [00:04:20] Thank you. [00:04:22] So, Donald Trump announced an agreement with Vladimir Putin on [00:04:26] the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the American market and to... [00:04:30] markets. With this news, Trump announced a decrease in fuel prices for [00:04:33] Americans, he directly said: I agreed with Putin, and now fuel [00:04:37] prices will be record low. In fact, analysts and experts of the fuel [00:04:41] market say that the volumes of diesel supplies from [00:04:44] Russia announced by Trump are not that large and are unlikely to affect [00:04:47] prices in any way. Probably, experts believe, Trump's decision [00:04:51] is due to the political situation, as our guests just said, the midterm elections [00:04:55] to Congress are coming, I remind you, Donald Trump convinces his [00:04:58] voters that fuel is healthy. because Zelensky strikes Russian [00:05:02] oil refineries, how ready are the US to massively, [00:05:05] for the most part, believe this, and how do they react to this [00:05:09] situation in the media, for example, both pro-Republican and... [00:05:12] democratic, as well as in various political circles, we will talk about it soon, I will [00:05:16] only add that because of Trump's deal, Ukraine and Russian diesel even [00:05:19] had a dispute between Fox News anchors, I remind you, this is a TV channel that is not [00:05:23] considered critical of Republicans in general and Trump in particular, this morning [00:05:27] show, as Ukrainian journalist Ostap Yarish, who works in Washington, wrote today, [00:05:31] this is Donald Trump's favorite show, and listen to what discussion on [00:05:35] our topic unfolded [00:05:36] there, [00:05:41] I know, [00:05:55] "please don't do this, especially before the midterm [00:05:58] elections, and Zelensky continues to undermine them, and this harms [00:06:01] President Trump and his administration, who have been very [00:06:05] generous in their support of Zelensky and his war [00:06:08] efforts. The president was furious because Zelensky said that he should not [00:06:11] buy". 5 million tons of diesel fuel, and [00:06:15] this, as I understand it, contradicts the recently adopted [00:06:19] Lindsey Graham law, which states that if [00:06:22] you buy any energy resources in Russia, you will be [00:06:25] subject to tariffs, then we will impose tariffs on ourselves, I [00:06:29] don't understand at all, Zelensky is disappointed, because now all this [00:06:33] money will flow to Russia, which started this war [00:06:36] without any provocation, the Russians are bad guys, and [00:06:39] Zelensky has not rejected any realistic peace. agreement, [00:06:43] moreover, since he was told that he would lose [00:06:46] Donbas, he recaptured part of Donbas. You [00:06:50] want to say that there were no peace initiatives? There was [00:06:53] no realistic, practical peace [00:06:56] initiative in which Putin would be ready [00:06:59] to participate and which could end this war. There [00:07:03] is only one person responsible for all this, [00:07:06] Vladimir Putin - period, and he is getting his [00:07:10] ass kicked. There was a peace agreement, it seems. Turkey [00:07:13] tried to conclude it, and Boris Johnson advised Zelensky [00:07:16] not to agree to it. It doesn't matter, I have no [00:07:20] idea what Boris Johnson is doing now. Where is he? In [00:07:24] a retirement home? I think there is a reason why President [00:07:28] Trump is buying diesel from Russia, and the reason is that Zelensky [00:07:31] continues to undermine oil refineries. [00:07:34] And can you blame him for that? It's a war [00:07:37] machine that kills his people and bombs residential [00:07:41] buildings. [00:07:50] Serhiy Kudelia, Professor of Political Science at Baylor University, USA, [00:07:54] joined our broadcast, I welcome you, Professor, good [00:07:58] evening, tell me, are such disputes, which we [00:08:01] just heard on Fox News, common now on American [00:08:04] television? Yes, actually, I [00:08:08] watched Sunday talk shows yesterday morning, it's very [00:08:11] popular. news shows and there [00:08:15] the participants were divided in half, meaning [00:08:18] Republicans predictably defended Donald Trump, [00:08:22] many key officials, members of Congress [00:08:26] spoke with explanations why Trump made [00:08:29] such a decision, but a significant part of observers, of course, [00:08:33] criticize Trump, and people find it difficult [00:08:36] to understand why a dictator who is waging [00:08:39] an aggressive war against Ukraine is now among the allies [00:08:43] of the United States, why in the public space we hear from the President of the United [00:08:47] States that allegedly Trump, [00:08:50] allegedly Putin is an ally of the USA, he [00:08:53] does a lot to improve the well-being [00:08:56] of Americans, and it turns out that President Zelensky [00:08:59] is to blame for such a significant [00:09:02] increase in the price of diesel [00:09:05] fuel. I just want to make it clear to our audience, [00:09:09] as far as I understand, fuel prices are one of the key [00:09:12] factors during elections, any elections in the United [00:09:16] States, fuel, if I'm not mistaken, [00:09:19] gasoline has become more expensive by 50%, diesel by [00:09:23] 70%, how important is this factor for Americans, [00:09:26] that based on the price of fuel, they will make their choice during [00:09:30] elections? Americans live in [00:09:34] cars, a lot of the main [00:09:37] part of economic activity takes place with the help of large freight [00:09:40] transportation, and freight... transportation, they use [00:09:44] diesel fuel, so diesel fuel prices [00:09:48] lead to an increase in food prices in [00:09:51] stores, and an increase in services, for example, [00:09:54] construction, that is, it [00:09:57] has a very direct effect on many [00:10:00] different parts of the economy, which directly [00:10:03] affect people's lives, and this [00:10:06] issue of diesel, the price of diesel fuel, became especially [00:10:10] relevant from August, that is, for the last two months this was discussed very actively, [00:10:13] and even such former [00:10:16] supporters of Donald Trump, like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who [00:10:20] is now a big opponent, she started traveling around [00:10:23] America, showing... diesel fuel prices and saying [00:10:27] that this is a direct result of Donald Trump's actions, [00:10:31] and here I wanted to emphasize that [00:10:34] partly Trump's statements, which shift [00:10:37] responsibility to Volodymyr Zelensky, are related to [00:10:40] the fact that Democrats emphasized that the increase in [00:10:43] diesel fuel prices is primarily due to the war in Iran, with [00:10:47] Iran, that is, the attack of the United [00:10:50] States on Iran in March of this year and further [00:10:54] unresolved. the situation with the supply [00:10:57] of fuel through the Strait of Hormuz, that is, [00:11:00] in fact, Democrats used diesel fuel [00:11:03] as a pretext to criticize Donald [00:11:06] Trump's foreign policy, and this [00:11:09] was certainly very vulnerable to Republicans. Republicans are currently [00:11:13] on the verge of a historic defeat, here it should [00:11:16] be emphasized that the situation for Republican [00:11:19] candidates in most districts, even in those districts and states, [00:11:23] where traditionally for... decades, Republicans were elected, [00:11:26] for example, in the state of Texas, where I am currently [00:11:29] located, in these states, Democrats are ahead of [00:11:32] Republicans, in the Senate, for example, in [00:11:35] Texas, the Democratic candidate is currently ahead of the Republican candidate, for the first time in 40 [00:11:39] years, other states, [00:11:42] Ohio, Nebraska, [00:11:45] Maine, in these states, Democrats are also ahead, [00:11:49] that is, when the so-called blue wave occurs, when [00:11:52] simultaneously in states in various... Democratic [00:11:55] candidates start winning, at this [00:11:59] moment we see serious [00:12:03] prerequisites for a political shift throughout America, [00:12:05] and I think that the main risk that Trump [00:12:09] sees with these events is the risk that both chambers [00:12:13] of Congress will be controlled by Democrats, and then the next [00:12:16] two years, the last two years of his presidential term, he [00:12:20] will turn into a lame duck, that is, a president [00:12:23] whose powers will be very limited, [00:12:26] who will find himself again under [00:12:28] the target of Democratic attacks, because we remember [00:12:31] that during his first term, when Democrats controlled [00:12:35] Congress, that was when impeachment procedures [00:12:38] against Donald Trump began. Now [00:12:41] Democrats directly say that as soon as they take power in Congress, [00:12:45] they will begin to investigate all these corrupt schemes that [00:12:49] took place in the White House, according to their words, over the last two [00:12:52] years, and this is what he... [00:12:55] fears, it's very interesting, actually, you know, there have been no [00:12:59] elections in Ukraine for a long time, so even listening to what is happening in other countries is [00:13:03] very exciting, please tell me, are there perhaps any [00:13:06] polls, and how many people in the United States are now ready to believe [00:13:10] that fuel has become more expensive because [00:13:13] Ukraine is hitting Russian [00:13:15] oil refineries? [00:13:18] Well, in America, voters are very polarized, that is, everyone [00:13:21] listens, you showed Fox News, all [00:13:25] Republican voters, they listen mostly to several Republican [00:13:29] channels, Fox News and a number [00:13:31] of others, and of course also various [00:13:34] influencers, and I think that they follow primarily, [00:13:38] or go in the wake of the position of these [00:13:41] channels, Democrats, on the contrary, listen primarily to [00:13:44] sources associated with the Democratic Party, so I don't think [00:13:48] there will be any significant change in the views of Americans, [00:13:52] of American society, but... of course, it seems to me that [00:13:56] a bigger problem than public opinion in the United States is the problem that [00:14:00] this agreement, which he [00:14:02] announced over the last few days, this agreement can [00:14:06] become the beginning of lifting other sanctions against Russia, because [00:14:10] he creates a precedent when sanctions can be lifted against Russia, [00:14:14] agreements can be made, and for example, last month in [00:14:17] the New York Times there was a big article about negotiations [00:14:21] taking place between Vtkoff, Kushner and... [00:14:25] Putin selling [00:14:27] assets of the Lukoil oil company. Yes, [00:14:31] the Lukoil oil company. This, agreement must [00:14:34] be, that is, the Ministry of Finance must [00:14:38] lift sanctions against Lukoil before this agreement is implemented. [00:14:42] And given that a significant part of Lukoil's [00:14:45] assets abroad are related to oil refineries [00:14:48] and the sale of diesel [00:14:51] fuel, then this. [00:14:55] this decision, this agreement can be sold in [00:14:58] the context of what Donald Trump just [00:15:01] started talking about. Therefore, we, [00:15:04] we need to understand that this could be part of a larger [00:15:08] game, a larger strategy of Donald Trump, [00:15:11] related to the beginning of rapprochement, economic [00:15:14] and trade rapprochement with Russia, and here also, hmm, [00:15:18] the media also just said that they wrote that [00:15:21] Lukoil could be bought by people close to Donald Trump or his [00:15:25] family, well, [00:15:28] that's right, that is, [00:15:30] the key [00:15:33] investor group is headed by Donald Trump's donor [00:15:36] and it includes a number [00:15:39] of representatives of Arab business from Qatar and from [00:15:43] the United Arab Emirates, who directly invest in [00:15:46] the businesses of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, that is, [00:15:50] it is obvious that there are direct interests of Donald Trump's [00:15:53] family in restoring these [00:15:56] trade ties, and we know that Putin skillfully [00:16:00] uses this greed of Western officials, [00:16:03] for example, Germany, other European countries, to... [00:16:07] promote his political interests, I [00:16:10] understand that Ukraine is probably not even in the top ten issues that currently [00:16:14] concern Americans and based on which they will make their choice, [00:16:17] but still we observe [00:16:20] an extremely, it seems to me, deep crisis in the relations between Trump and Zelensky, [00:16:23] another one, is there any room to [00:16:27] improve these relations now, what can generally be done, what can [00:16:30] be done, [00:16:33] when Donald Trump directly says that it is necessary to [00:16:37] change the president of Ukraine, it seems [00:16:40] to me, it is difficult to imagine how he can change his [00:16:43] mind, and why he said this before, and then came out and said that [00:16:47] Zelensky is a good guy, [00:16:50] yes, he said that Zelensky is a good guy, but the point is [00:16:54] what steps he takes next, when [00:16:58] we hear that the United States is now blackmailing [00:17:01] Ukraine with the supply of weapons and [00:17:04] the provision of intelligence data, this is about... [00:17:08] long-term negative consequences [00:17:12] for Ukraine and the ability to [00:17:14] fight, so it seems to me that [00:17:18] it is difficult to imagine how Donald Trump can change [00:17:21] his position on Ukraine, it is based on [00:17:24] some of his personal emotional preferences for Putin [00:17:28] or a negative attitude towards Volodymyr Zelensky, [00:17:31] it is difficult to understand here, I think that the only [00:17:34] hope is that... who will be able to somehow [00:17:38] limit after the Democrats' [00:17:40] victory in the [00:17:44] midterm elections, and this [00:17:48] pressure on Trump, I think, may at least somehow [00:17:51] minimize the negative consequences of the [00:17:54] actions he may take towards Ukraine. This, unfortunately, it seems [00:17:58] to me, is the only optimistic scenario. Thank you very much, Serhiy [00:18:01] Kudelia, Professor of Political Science at Baylor University, was with us on [00:18:04] the line and we talked about, among other things, whether there are still options to [00:18:08] somehow improve relations between Kyiv and Washington. [00:18:11] Thank you. Every weekday from 7:00 to 10:00 on Espresso. [00:25:42] We are looking for ten-year-old Denys Muratov. The boy [00:25:46] lived on the Left Bank of Kherson region in the city of Hola [00:25:49] Prystan and disappeared at the beginning of the full-scale [00:25:52] war. During all this time, there has been [00:25:56] no news about the child. Perhaps, like many other [00:25:59] children, he was taken to Russia. I really hope [00:26:02] that with your help we will be able to establish at least some [00:26:06] details about the boy's possible whereabouts. [00:26:10] I want to note right away that in this photo, Denys [00:26:13] looks much younger than he is now. [00:26:16] This summer, he turned 10 [00:26:19] years old. The boy has an oval face, straight dark [00:26:22] hair, and dark eyes. If anyone [00:26:25] has seen the child or knows any information about his possible [00:26:29] whereabouts, please call us immediately on the hotline [00:26:33] of the Magnolia Children's Search Service at the short number [00:26:36] 11630. Calls from any Ukrainian mobile [00:26:39] operator are free. If you suddenly cannot [00:26:43] call, write to the chatbot of the Children's Search Service on [00:26:47] Telegram. You can see the QR code for the transition on your [00:26:50] screens. I also want to remind you that we are not [00:26:54] stopping the search for eight-year-old Sashko [00:26:57] Hrytsenko. The story of this boy from the temporarily occupied [00:27:01] territory of Luhansk region, I have already told in previous [00:27:04] programs. The child was abandoned by his biological mother, and now [00:27:08] Sashko's father is trying to find him, who is in the [00:27:11] controlled part of Ukraine. We [00:27:15] talked to the man and now I will tell you all the details [00:27:18] of this frankly shocking story. His former [00:27:22] wife asked, and I was looking for him, I want to take him under [00:27:25] my wing. She left home and [00:27:29] then returned, but then she left again and... [00:27:32] the whereabouts of the civil wife, I don't [00:27:35] know. So, when the full-scale war began, [00:27:38] little Sashko lived with his mother and the man's [00:27:41] grandmother in the city of Lysychansk. This territory [00:27:44] was occupied almost from the first days. At the beginning of [00:27:47] 2023, the child's mother left home and [00:27:51] left Sashko with his elderly [00:27:54] great-grandmother. With my biological grandmother. Yes, with his great-grandmother, with [00:27:57] my grandmother. It was a long time ago, probably sometime in 2023, [00:28:01] for sure. I found out about this in 2023, [00:28:05] maybe she abandoned him earlier to my sick [00:28:09] grandmother. She left the house. For a long time, [00:28:12] the boy was cared for by his great-grandmother, but soon the elderly [00:28:15] woman died, and the child was taken away by social services in the occupied [00:28:19] territory. Sashko was immediately [00:28:22] taken out of Lysychansk. All this happened approximately [00:28:26] three years ago. The service came and took the child, after that [00:28:30] I knew where he went. [00:28:32] Well, relatively knew, that like there by rumors, by clues, well, such [00:28:36] that he was somewhere in Alchevsk, then he was moved to Luhansk, and [00:28:40] then his whereabouts are unknown, so I am looking [00:28:43] for him. Whether the child is still in the temporarily [00:28:46] occupied territory of Luhansk region, or if the boy was taken to Russia, [00:28:50] the father has not yet been able to find out. The man, [00:28:54] of course, turned to the police, but so far there is no [00:28:57] clue to find out where his [00:29:00] son is. I'm looking for my child. [00:29:13] boy, please, I will be very grateful to you. I [00:29:16] appeal to everyone who sees this video, and especially to the residents [00:29:20] of occupied Luhansk region. Look carefully at Sashko [00:29:24] Hrytsenko's photo. The boy looks 7-8 years old. [00:29:27] He is slender, has straight light brown hair, an oval [00:29:31] face and brown eyes. He is a very good child, [00:29:34] he is very drawn to people, mostly if he [00:29:38] liked something, it was to play there, well, like all children, [00:29:42] but this child has [00:29:44] cerebral palsy, he could not pronounce [00:29:47] such formulations or words, if [00:29:51] there is any meaning. Sashko has a medical [00:29:54] diagnosis of cerebral palsy, that's why he cannot always clearly [00:29:57] formulate his thoughts, but [00:30:00] he is very sensitive and drawn to people, if anyone has seen [00:30:04] the boy or knows where he might be [00:30:07] now, call the hotline of [00:30:10] the Magnolia Children's Search Service immediately at the short number 1163. [00:30:14] Calls from all Ukrainian mobile operators are free. [00:30:34] War. Rockets for Patriots exist [00:30:38] in the world. Strikes on [00:30:39] Russia.
