[00:00:49] of [00:00:53] of also [00:00:56] in in the a officer who shot gang member Chris Car'. has [00:01:00] finally been [00:01:01] a cleared of misconduct, but firstly I would [00:01:04] of like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of Chris [00:01:09] of Cabber, did his own [00:01:11] of colleagues at the met help to throw him under the bus [00:01:17] of and [00:01:20] of [00:01:20] a yes, well the toris have faced [00:01:24] of criticism for [00:01:25] of selecting a former neonazi to run as a [00:01:28] counter, he's also... for some [00:01:30] of those AI videos like the one that you just saw there, and [00:01:34] of absolutely horrific investigation, this, it's found that an elderly woman [00:01:38] of was mistakenly fed [00:01:39] of dog food by care worker who couldn't read [00:01:45] of of the of english on the packet, also I would take a thread and needle [00:01:49] and [00:01:49] of I'd [00:01:50] of interweave love into our society, well he's going to have to [00:01:54] take a [00:01:55] of pen and actually just write a new [00:01:57] of CV in now, of isn't of he? because some breaking news in the [00:01:59] last few... minutes is that the Cambridge professor is accused of being [00:02:03] Britain's biggest Walter Mity has resigned, [00:02:08] of plus green party activists knocked a [00:02:10] of man's of door and then reported him to police for disagreeing with [00:02:14] them. [00:06:23] Well, good evening. Are the French deliberately letting illegal immigrants come to [00:06:26] Britain in the back of Lorries. Take a little look at [00:06:29] this. [00:07:01] Yes, not one for the radio listeners that to be fair, but load of illegals climbed out of a lorry [00:07:05] in S6 and disappeared into the countryside, [00:07:08] a passer by took the video and the lorry driver and [00:07:12] lorry company were actually initially investigating on suspicion of human [00:07:16] trafficking, but it turns out they actually had absolutely nothing to do with [00:07:20] it, they did nothing wrong at all, in fact they are the real victims in all of this as you're about to [00:07:24] find out, but we know that tens of thousands of illegal immigrants [00:07:28] come across the channel every single year, but we have no idea [00:07:32] how many come in lorries because they're just [00:07:35] scarper when they arrive, but if you look at social media, the [00:07:39] illegals are very much still giving the lorries a good gun, [00:07:54] Okay, I said before, I'll say it again, just deport them singularly for their taste in music, but [00:07:58] anyway, it's worth noting that some these people in Lorries even have knives [00:08:02] with [00:08:02] them, [00:08:10] so how with all the security at the... bordering [00:08:13] calet are so many illegals getting through in [00:08:17] lorries? well, earlier today i spoke to the owner of that transportation [00:08:20] company whose lory inadvertently had several illegal [00:08:24] migrants in it. now listen very closely to what he [00:08:27] said, well the problem is that with [00:08:31] tachograph laws now we we we can't make the trip from Spain or [00:08:35] Portugal back to UK in one hit, so on this occasion [00:08:39] on this occasion the driver stopped in a place called ruim. is about 200 [00:08:43] kilometers south of Callei um it's in an overnight [00:08:47] fairly secure truck stop as secure as it can be uh and we tend [00:08:51] to sort of stay far away from Calay as possible because if you dare [00:08:55] stopping cale you're going to get someone in your truck so we take the necessary [00:08:58] precautions on this occasion what they've done they've got top the [00:09:01] roof which is 4.2 m high they've cut a slit into the [00:09:05] soft roof that we have on these trucks and they've climbed [00:09:09] inside the truck then left the following morning depart. to [00:09:12] call did not stop until we got to cale, [00:09:16] firstly uh reported at uh border forces um [00:09:19] french border forces, they checked the necessary um checks [00:09:23] including the rear doors, we have these locking devices on the [00:09:27] doors that you can't open by any means unless you got the right [00:09:31] tool uh the ceiling called that was still sealed they put dog around [00:09:34] the truck we then moved 400 yards forward into the uh [00:09:38] uk border force control area and they done the same checks which is usual, [00:09:42] but on this time they checked the truck on two occasions, the truck [00:09:46] send free to leave, he departed on the channel tunnel, rive [00:09:50] Folkston, and the minute you come off that train at Folkston, you pull onto the [00:09:54] M20 and it's non-stop all the way to our depot in [00:09:56] morden, um, our yard was quite busy at that time [00:10:00] in the evening, so we asked the driver to just to sort pull into the layby between our two [00:10:04] warehouses and has his parking in the layby, you can you [00:10:08] it's clear to see from the evidence from the passer by that these four [00:10:12] have climbed out the hole in the roof and jumped to the ground and off they [00:10:16] went. mean, this has exposed a bit of a [00:10:19] flaw, has it not in the checks there cuuse they scan it or they do [00:10:23] whatever they do, but [00:10:25] it doesn't seem as though they they they check the roof the lorry to see if [00:10:29] anyone's cut in what i can't believe [00:10:32] um [00:10:33] and i've not made this trip for number of years and i will be making a trip very soon but why what [00:10:37] i can't believe is why don't i have a CCTV that's six [00:10:40] meters a pole [00:10:42] you know to check in every roof of a truck because every truck has to go through the same [00:10:46] lane the ball to control it'd be so easy to have you know [00:10:49] a pole with camera any signs of a hole you can't hide a hole if they cut [00:10:53] a hole in that truck you're to see it and then stop [00:10:57] that truck and but i don't know some part [00:11:01] of me just wondering whether you know is the issue then just moved to the [00:11:05] uk you know the french just waving these trucks through knowing down well there's probably [00:11:09] immigrants inside i don't i don't know it's not happened to us before we have [00:11:12] 500 trucks a year depart and come back to the UK it's [00:11:16] not happened to me before several hallies that i know it's happened [00:11:20] to um and that's the problem but you because it's [00:11:24] so It's so in the news all the time now that that you [00:11:27] know local media is just pulling us apart you [00:11:31] know I've had death yeah talk to me about that [00:11:35] because you you have had death I mean initially am I right in saying the [00:11:39] police arrested one of your drives or something on suspicion of human [00:11:43] trafficking or something and then and then as result of that people saw the [00:11:46] video and they assue and your company's names on the truck and people [00:11:50] assumed that you were you were importing illegals yeah [00:11:54] because 'you know they see what they consider is um suspicious [00:11:58] circumstances, why did our truck pull in the layer by and not into our [00:12:01] depot? well look, if [00:12:03] was a people smuggler i'd be pulling into my depot behind closed doors and unloaded [00:12:07] them there not [00:12:07] in laid by down the road, i have two warehouses [00:12:11] literally quarter of mile apart, the trucks pull into there, they call [00:12:15] the office and say we're here do you want us in yard yard b and then we [00:12:18] instruct him to do so um terms for police [00:12:22] i have to say not only was they far'. that was very fair, [00:12:26] they have to arrest the driver, there's four eags in the back of that truck [00:12:30] climbing out, they forensically tested my truck, forensically [00:12:34] tested the tachograph to show the stops and the movements and i obviously [00:12:38] checked what the driver had said, [00:12:40] you know he's his course of actions and it all stacked up and they [00:12:44] released my driver, thank god yesterday lunchtime and i've got the [00:12:47] utmost praise from, they done [00:12:49] a clean job, they've done a job and you know my [00:12:52] driver's free to go, but the social media side of it is [00:12:56] another story [00:12:57] you know um and the problem is we advertise locally [00:13:01] using my mobile number when I want people when we look for [00:13:05] news and everything we always go in the community I'd be thinking about [00:13:09] and the future because the the the abuse that we're [00:13:12] getting um you [00:13:13] know I've had death threats I've had people saying if anything happens [00:13:17] to their children or their house gets broken into they know where I work they're going to come and get me [00:13:21] you know how can I you know I've been doing this. 30 [00:13:25] years, how can that happen? it's ridiculous, social [00:13:28] media is so wrong, but maybe well, mean [00:13:32] i think a lot of people will watch and see this and [00:13:35] hopefully realize that that's this got absolutely nothing to [00:13:39] do with you, that really it's been through through two different rounds [00:13:43] of checks that that should have picked this up and actually what you've done [00:13:47] possibly is help expose a pretty fatal flaw on the on [00:13:51] the french side that now might be corrected, you might actually end up stopping a lot more as [00:13:55] coming to Britain, but I mean, it's fair to say you are not, [00:13:59] you are not particularly pro illegal immigration, this is the thing, isn't [00:14:02] it? exactly, [00:14:05] you know, what we do, we're moving people around the world, you know, and yeah, [00:14:09] so we're not that, and you look, these people desperate, I've seen these [00:14:13] guys with my own eyes hanging onto axles of trailers that [00:14:17] are moving fast through roads in front, [00:14:20] it is incredibly unsafe and dangerous, they're desperate [00:14:24] people, we need to do something, but we need to stop the flow, [00:14:28] because it's becoming dangerous. last night was another issue in [00:14:31] mid-channel, with with this boat that caught fire. more needs to [00:14:35] be done, I'm sorry, more needs to be done. all right, well look, John, I [00:14:38] really appreciate you taking the time for us and I'm sorry that you had to go through what you went [00:14:42] through, but I do hope that that clears a lot of stuff up for lot of people, [00:14:46] so uh, good luck to you mate, and good luck to your company as well, and wish [00:14:50] you all the best. All right, so to summarize, the French [00:14:54] don't seem to bother. scanning the tops the lorries, so if the [00:14:57] illegals just cut their way through the roof, the French won't be [00:15:01] able to tell. remarkable really, how much would it cost to just put camera above the [00:15:05] lorries so that you could check, and why aren't the British Board security doing it as [00:15:09] well? around 9,000 lorries come into Britain every single day, [00:15:13] goodness only knows how many illegals are inside them, right? let [00:15:16] me uh go straight to my panel, now start with you, Mark, the director the [00:15:20] public conservates, Mark Littlewood, it has exposed what appears to be gaping [00:15:24] floor here, security at the border, which is the French don't check to see if they've cut their way in [00:15:28] from the roof, yes, I mean, I'm not an expert in the [00:15:31] practicalities of border security, but I would have thought that was fairly obvious [00:15:35] check, I mean the other thing I think it's is patrick is [00:15:38] and i've said this again and again on your [00:15:41] show, i'm not saying that the french are disingenuous, but let's have [00:15:45] look at their incentives. if you're running a country and [00:15:49] undesirable people are trying escape, what are you going to do? are you [00:15:53] going to actually try and keep them in france? probably not, you're going to look the other [00:15:57] way, if fighting aged [00:15:59] men who may be criminals or they're illegally are try to exit France [00:16:03] and make it to some other territory, how fast are you going to be to prevent [00:16:07] them doing? that so the burden's got to fall on us, I think really quite a lot [00:16:11] more, and sure we can put in perhaps better checks at Dover or [00:16:14] this came in at folkston, I think I heard if I heard that correctly, but we [00:16:18] have got to stop the pull factor, if people believe there is a [00:16:22] pot of gold at the end the rainbow, they will keep coming by [00:16:26] their thousands, and it's not a myth, we have put a pot of gold [00:16:30] at the end the rainbow, so they're going to keep coming, these people just need to find some [00:16:34] law enforcement officer, put their hands in the air, shout, asylum [00:16:38] come up with some cock and bull story and more likely than not they will stay [00:16:41] here, so we've got to put our own house in the order. i think the [00:16:45] criticisms of what the french have done given given we're giving them so much money are [00:16:49] fair, but think i'd probably just switch that off and make it our own [00:16:52] problem. well quite, mean it did also go through British [00:16:55] security uh on that side the channel as well, so we are we [00:16:59] are not blameless in all of this and that is something they're going to have to have to look at, [00:17:03] but i don't by the way Jamie, i don't believe that they've actually caught these people, so there are... just [00:17:07] some free ranger legal migrants roaming around the S6 countryside, well I was going to say, [00:17:11] as an S6 boy, uh, first of all, well done to that S6 business for doing everything [00:17:15] properly, and uh, it's wrong that they are to suffer any abuse [00:17:19] from that, but I think the people that should suffer the abuse are the people that are responsible for keeping this [00:17:23] country safe, that lorry with those people should not have been allowed to [00:17:27] enter with those people in it, and that lorry driver should have been stopped when uh that [00:17:31] lorry enter the United Kingdom, I don't care what's normal or not, the biggest threat [00:17:35] to national security in this country at the moment is the... legal invasion to this [00:17:38] country of fighting aged men like that that were climbing off of that lorry, they're coming to [00:17:42] this country, they pose serious security risk, we know there's been some Iranians [00:17:46] arrested for terror charges, we've seen people raped, murdered, [00:17:50] sexually assaulted by these people that come into this country illegally, and I'm [00:17:53] sorry, but any illegal entry to this country should be treated as a [00:17:57] criminal offence and these people should be treated in that way, but I think it goes to show Patrick [00:18:01] that we look at the small boats as very obvious uh [00:18:05] indication of illegal immigration, yeah remember being from Essex, we had in [00:18:09] Farek 39 people found sadly dead a lory, yeah um, you this is not [00:18:13] an unusual thing, and the fact that the government haven't come to grips, previous [00:18:16] and current government haven't come to grips with lorry illegal immigration [00:18:20] is is really worrying, i think how many other lorries on the m25 that i've seen my [00:18:24] journey here today have got illegal migrants in, well well it does make you wonder, mean [00:18:28] 9, [00:18:29] i was showing to him a bit off, he says that in his, mean it's his business, it's his business to [00:18:33] know, he says [00:18:33] that there's 9,000 lorries roughly that come across to Britain every single day [00:18:38] 'yeah, mean you can do the maths on that, it's there's potentially as many coming in in the [00:18:42] backaures as there are in the boats, we just don't really hear about that, because they scarper, so you [00:18:46] don't really know if they're there or not, but [00:18:48] it is remarkable to me that when you go through these lorry checks according to [00:18:52] this individual got no reason to to doubt him, there is not [00:18:56] a camera above the lorry, well i expect they'll be doing that next, [00:19:00] mean the point being [00:19:02] that they're finding ever more ingenious ways of doing it, the business with the [00:19:06] with with being' smagled a lorry or or somehow jumping into [00:19:10] somebody's motor home has been going on for years and was [00:19:13] it was going on way before we had the the boat [00:19:17] crisis problem I mean from I mean and and I think the government has [00:19:20] actually issued something like 60 million pounds worth of fines [00:19:24] in the last 10 or dozen years so they're doing something [00:19:28] about it but you know you are you you are you are [00:19:32] checked by the French and then you're checked by the British border force in [00:19:35] France so [00:19:36] you you're tr and I remember we used to do booz runs, which before [00:19:40] brexit you could very happily do, go across on the ferry for a [00:19:43] day, go to a supermarket, buy your cheese, your wine, fill your [00:19:47] boot with you, with wine and then and come back through, and i [00:19:51] remember every time we did that we'd be stopped and we have to open the boot, well you couldn't, you [00:19:54] couldn't have fit a mouse in because we had so much wine in there, you could the [00:19:58] could there couldn't have been anybody, but there a certain play you know there was there was apparently [00:20:02] read about a couple in in Essex who were find 100 pounds and then it was [00:20:06] revoked, because a migrants um tucked [00:20:10] himself inside bike rack cover on the back their motorh yes [00:20:14] but is [00:20:14] this this is probably right identify one the problems there because youah this driver had [00:20:18] no idea they were there he's been through two checks he's done everything right he's checked the various different [00:20:22] seals he's not going to put ladder up his lury and see if there's a thing a slash in the [00:20:26] roof [00:20:26] or something that's not really his job to do but it is these people mean he was arrested [00:20:30] initially this guy on suspicious of being a human trafficker and then also you said fines [00:20:34] people get fines for you you pull back in somewhere around "you know, around [00:20:38] Dover, you drive off, you stop off a McDonald's drive-through and Eritreian pops out [00:20:42] your roof rack and you get fine, yeah, but then they they they've all they've all been revoked, I mean [00:20:46] nobody's going to be fine if they're in that sort of situation, but I would like to say..." [00:20:50] when he he was talking that the the that guy, i don't know his name, i'm [00:20:54] terribly sorry, he um he said how desperate they were, [00:20:58] now if you're desperate, you're hanging onto [00:21:01] axle, or if you're desperate you'd have to try and find a way, would you, [00:21:05] would you, would you please understand that these are not just necessarily economic [00:21:09] migrants, all them, they are, there are there are [00:21:13] people who are genuine refugees who desperately want different [00:21:16] life, they're fleeing france need, they're fleeing france 'I mean, I [00:21:20] would have more sympathy for that story of somebody has sort of piloted their own way here [00:21:24] from Syria right, directly from an extremely oppressive [00:21:28] country, but they many them have, but they're in France at the [00:21:32] moment, the the value added of being in Britain other than [00:21:35] France is not, oh thank god now I won't be tortured to death [00:21:39] by the political authority, international law, [00:21:42] you you are allowed to go to the country of your [00:21:45] children, we should end that the argument, the argument that you're [00:21:49] making.' there is valid one when they have crossed the border from say [00:21:53] Syria to Greece or they've come to at the first point of a western [00:21:57] civilization. the argument falls because they've traveled through many [00:22:01] safe countries in order to get to Britain, but here's why it's so important that [00:22:05] reforms policy of Operation Fortress happens, because lot of people are [00:22:08] criticizing it this week, we're trying to stop these people drowning in the channel as well, don't [00:22:12] forget, and if those people that are serious about the welfare these people would [00:22:16] back that policy. you're you're trying to dress that up, I mean and that's what makes... [00:22:20] my blood boil it really does saying oh we're only trying to save people in the chat that is [00:22:23] not you're just trying to get rid of what what do that's not a [00:22:27] question it's not it's not stopping them from drowning i'll [00:22:31] tell you what it is it's just pushing them back now look at the physical [00:22:35] situation where you have the royal navy and you have these boats how are you going to turn them [00:22:38] around can you imagine that that that the people [00:22:42] smugglers and do not have weapons are not going to be turned [00:22:45] around and if you've actually managed to get them to beach [00:22:49] how do you drop? how do you drop them off anywhere near Britain, [00:22:52] you cannot do that, that is, it is nothing to do with saving lines, this we [00:22:56] need to change the law and the welfare system [00:22:59] dramatically, all right, a home office [00:23:03] spokesperson has said we are relentless in our pursuit of people smuggling gangs [00:23:07] and stand ready to respond to all methods, including lorries and other [00:23:11] clendestine rs, that's why the home officers set out the most sweeping reforms to tackle illegal [00:23:14] migration in modern times, removing incentives with draw people to the UK legally [00:23:18] and making it easier to remove. deport them, well it's time now for the great British giveaway and it's [00:23:22] your opportunity to come from France to Britain in the back of a lorry, no it's not really, but [00:23:26] you do get the same thing, actually loads of cash and a bit [00:23:28] gold. welcome to all is Santy by [00:23:32] Domes Resorts where we're celebrating a golden summer [00:23:36] and you could be enjoying a golden year with incredible [00:23:40] 60£, to be won. [00:25:33] that's [00:25:33] next. [00:25:44] some people enjoy lazy Sunday mornings, but not me. what's [00:25:48] the truth the matter? so that's a very... live question: would you support him if he [00:25:51] waters down these plans? before the spin sets in, i'll be getting [00:25:55] to the truth. this is, this is personal. no soft questions, [00:25:59] no easy answers. it's one thing if the state has. in this country, [00:26:03] it's another thing whether the police and others actually police them, [00:26:07] setting the agenda and holding those in power to account. you [00:26:10] can't really blame her if the system is set up this way. you will not want [00:26:14] to miss it, trust me. the camilla tommy show sundays from [00:26:18] 9:30 only on GB [00:26:20] News. britain deserves news room that [00:26:24] puts the facts and your voice first. well, and that's what you get on [00:26:28] GB News, lively debates, lively conversation. we're not. [00:28:32] each other and also to the presenters live on air, [00:28:35] gbnews.com/yorsay because GB [00:28:39] News is your channel, Britain's news [00:28:42] channel, [00:28:48] welcome back to Patrick Chris Night tonight, easy for me to say time now for the had [00:28:52] to head, just my [00:28:53] name, all right, well a former [00:28:57] neonazi who was selected as a conservative council [00:29:01] candidate has with drawn from next year's elections in Somerset after [00:29:05] criticism over his past anti-semitism, so yes, Joshua [00:29:08] Bonehill Paine was jailed for three years in 2015, after [00:29:12] promoting an anti-jewification march [00:29:16] online, and year later he received a further two-year sentence [00:29:20] for racially harassing then labour MP Luciana [00:29:24] Berger, but in prison he underwent rehabilitation for [00:29:27] extremist defenders since his release, he's campaigned against extremism [00:29:31] and anti-semit. and worked with exit hate and delivered counter [00:29:35] extremism training to police officers. kemy back defended his selection [00:29:39] saying that the party believes in second chances. he also runs the [00:29:43] crew kern gazette account on x which i think many of you will actually know [00:29:47] about here's some their [00:29:48] content. [00:29:58] well look tonight i'm asking, can someone like that actually be reformed? going ahead on this [00:30:02] now as president the Reform Jewish Alliance, Gary Mond and [00:30:06] Journalist and commentator Nicole Lampert. Thank you very, very [00:30:09] much. Um, I think we can go first, I'm hoping to Gary, yes, hello. [00:30:13] Gary, what, what do you think about this? Do you think he can be reformed, what do you think [00:30:17] the Conservative's decision to have have let him stand and then and then they [00:30:21] stand by him? I think this is horrendous error of [00:30:24] judgment on the part of Mrs. Badonoch, um, yes, he can be [00:30:28] reformed, yes he can be contrite, yes he can show remorse and he can't [00:30:32] many good deeds and there's a lot of things he can do that can help the battle against [00:30:36] anti-semitism, but to actually put him up as a parliamentary candidate or a [00:30:40] council candidate or to give him a senior position in the conservative [00:30:43] party, which is what Mrs. Badnoch is doing, is totally wrong, and [00:30:47] it creates the wrong impression and is likely to lead [00:30:50] to essentially a loss of support for the conservative [00:30:54] party, particularly among the Jewish community. Okay, yep, Nicole, and [00:30:58] your views. I know it's meant to be a debate, but I kind of... [00:31:02] really agree with with Gary that I do people think people can [00:31:06] be rehabilitated, but um, I've been looking [00:31:09] into the story for a piece of telegraph that I've written, and the more I've read about [00:31:13] him, [00:31:14] the more... frightening his story is really in what [00:31:18] he did to people i men luciana burger who [00:31:22] was attachly by him but uh prior to that he [00:31:26] just just was kind of general troll two [00:31:30] people labeled people pedophiles people lost their businesses because [00:31:34] of this and i don't think he should be stood up as as a [00:31:37] counselor as a politician or even really being advising [00:31:41] chemy badanock and uh kemy is someone who more than [00:31:45] probably any other party leader has has has support from the Jewish [00:31:49] community and people had faith in her, but I think it's been a it's a massive [00:31:53] misstep really to to do this. Okay, Gary, let me [00:31:57] just just put the other side of this up here then really. I mean, he has actually released a [00:32:01] statement in which he has unequivocally apologized for his [00:32:04] past, um, it does seem to show absolute genuine [00:32:08] contrition and remorse, and has said that he's actually done his very best [00:32:11] to in some way atone for the error. of his past, [00:32:15] he now [00:32:16] you know devotes his life when he's not uh, [00:32:18] you know, apparently helping out to make some these, at times genuinely very funny AI [00:32:22] videos uh, he he he tries to to to de-radicalize [00:32:25] people and and and expose extremism, so some people would [00:32:29] say he's actually he's perfectly placed to [00:32:33] advise, can we b kock on this, no, no, um, there's two [00:32:37] separate issues here, there's firstly that because of [00:32:41] his past he would totally create the wrong image for the for [00:32:45] any political party, let alone the conservatives and secondly, there's the [00:32:48] issue [00:32:49] of Mrs. Badinoch's judgment. We know that Mrs. Badinoch is widely regarded as [00:32:53] a good friend the Jewish community, but just looking into the history the [00:32:57] matter, look at how she behaved in 2023 when Suwella Braverman was [00:33:01] home secretary and how she refused to support Suela over the [00:33:05] scrapping the hate marches. I get the feeling that Mrs. Badnoch [00:33:08] is somebody who who's support for the Jewish community, and here Nicole may disagree with [00:33:12] me, but I get the feeling she's someone who support for the... community is only skin [00:33:16] deep and the moment it's politically expedient to throw us under [00:33:19] a bus she will do so. well, it was pretty pretty strong stuff. [00:33:23] um, nicole, are you are you the view then that that anyone can actually [00:33:27] be reformed? because we talk about it quite a lot in this show normally from the perspective of [00:33:31] islamist extremism. um, do do do you believe [00:33:34] that that that this guy has reformed, can [00:33:37] reform? i think people can reform, [00:33:41] and and you mention islamists extremists and and we've seen both. [00:33:45] both things happen, we've seen some them reforming and being [00:33:49] amazing advocates, both against anti-semitism and and [00:33:53] trying to root out um islamism in their own community, [00:33:57] and they are in many ways the most powerful voices, but then we have also seen [00:34:00] some them, and there's one that I have in mind who was brilliant [00:34:04] and was was kind of seen as a star, had his own radio [00:34:08] show and then went completely other way down another [00:34:11] conspiratorial hole, so this is one the things that... worries [00:34:15] me about anyone who's an extremist in [00:34:18] particular that are they always going to be somewhat [00:34:22] extreme and I don't know and I think the thing with um with with [00:34:26] Bonehill Pain is that we it's not been long enough to know really, I mean suddenly [00:34:30] we're told that he's been doing all this work on antisemitism, I've been [00:34:33] working uh writing about antisemitism for decade now [00:34:37] and I didn't know he was doing any of that [00:34:40] so I would like to know more about what he was doing and the thing that I would like to see [00:34:44] him do more than anything else and kemmy is apologized to [00:34:48] luciana and the other victims that weren't spoken to [00:34:51] before this announcement was made uh because they're the ones that are hurting the [00:34:55] most all right thank you very much sorry sorry Gary we're [00:34:59] going [00:34:59] to we're going to have to uh we're going to have [00:35:01] to move on but thank you so much both [00:35:02] of you really do appreciate it it's garry mond there and nicole lamper [00:35:06] just to say as well that um uh again Bernhill Pain [00:35:10] has said uh he is of course sad that the Jewish community groups [00:35:13] have have refused to meet him he loves the conservative party, believes in its [00:35:17] values, he says that rehabilitation does not erase what he did, but it does give [00:35:21] him a sense of duty, he can't changes past, but he hopes that he can [00:35:25] do something more positive going forward, so that's [00:35:29] his response there. look, next, we have got [00:35:32] a we really, really devastating story for [00:35:35] you, um, and this actually involves an elderly lady [00:35:39] who was fed dog food in her [00:35:43] final days by a car work. who appeared unable [00:35:47] to read the English on the packet, that's [00:35:50] next, [00:35:55] be nice escape the gray, clear skies, here we come, as clear [00:35:59] as our travel insurance, all clear travel insurance sponsors GB news [00:36:02] travel destinations forecast. It was just one of many shocking failings uncovered by the [00:40:48] investigation which also found staff had recorded visits that never [00:40:52] happened, so I they didn't turn up to care for her, they've served [00:40:55] a inedible. food as well as the dog food and left [00:40:59] her wet or in darkness overnight, absolutely horrific, isn't [00:41:03] it? well, is this yet another example of Britain's institutions failing [00:41:07] older people? and I'm sorry, but how on earth can you not [00:41:10] read the packaging a label? joining me now, as reform UK [00:41:14] group leader of Hampshire County Council and member of Portsmoth City [00:41:18] Council. it's counselor George Madrick. George, I saw this [00:41:22] story this morning because I saw that you'd posted about it on social media so thank [00:41:26] you very very much for coming on. Look, it, it makes me so angry [00:41:29] this. How on earth could a careworker not [00:41:33] read that it was dog food a packet? [00:41:37] It's shocking and I come on radio and TV and speak with... about things and [00:41:41] this one for me has really hit home and i think it's hit home for lot of [00:41:45] people because lot of us know people that have either been in adult social [00:41:49] care are adult social care or potentially about to go into adult social [00:41:52] care and this is really serious mean this this contractor in [00:41:56] particular they hired 44 supposedly skilled workers [00:42:00] in 23-24 foreign nationals [00:42:04] and clearly one these people were looking off this particular [00:42:08] patient i'd spoke to the family today 'uh the daughter in great detail and [00:42:12] she's been an advocate and she's been fighting for this tooth and nail for a couple of [00:42:15] years now to to raise awareness and get justice for her mother. as [00:42:19] you said in your opening report, this isn't isolated to just dog food and that's [00:42:23] bad enough, but as you stay stated in you open the report, this investigation [00:42:27] found force feeding, it found not feeding at all, prolonged periods of [00:42:31] isolation, um the do not resuscitate certificate scrunched up and put a [00:42:35] cupboard. you know, report said that there was lack of mobility [00:42:38] support uh, the st'. inedible food uh failure to [00:42:42] record visits. I mean, this this was not just a one-time [00:42:45] instant. In this particular instant that we're talking about in relation to the [00:42:49] dog foods, um, careworker, there was two careworkers in there, careworker went [00:42:53] into the freezer, got out packet of dog food, which was clearly [00:42:56] labeled by the way, as dog food, and microwaved [00:43:00] it. Uh, this careworker fed we believe, three [00:43:04] spoonfuls of this food to the lady prior to the other [00:43:07] careworker, noticing that there was dog. food packaging on the table, she [00:43:11] said that she didn't understand or understand the labeling, and that's even a greater concern, [00:43:15] Patrick, because if you can't provide the care where you're able to read [00:43:19] food packaging, how are you meant to read prescriptions, how are you meant to read care [00:43:23] records, and it [00:43:24] took a further two weeks for to notify the family of this incident, [00:43:28] it's truly shocking, [00:43:29] it is, look, I just want to be clear about some me, are you saying you [00:43:33] having spoken to the family that you are very confident that the [00:43:36] individual who did this was actually foreign? it wasn't [00:43:40] just [00:43:41] some someone who i don't couldn't read. yeah, i thought it was [00:43:45] really important to speak to the family directly before talking to the media today and i spoke to the [00:43:49] daughter and she confirmed that the lady was foreign national who uh [00:43:53] who put the food in the mouth, that's been confirmed, and there was an english [00:43:57] careworker with her, which is the one that noticed the food packaging and on the side and [00:44:00] stopped the uh any more food being given to the lady mid [00:44:04] service. this is this, this is very serious questions, especially in light of what Andy Burnon wants to do with the [00:44:08] care uh sector. which I think broadly speaking is a good thing, we need better care [00:44:12] for our elderly elderly people in this country, there can be no doubt about that, [00:44:15] um, but we keep hearing, don't we, if it wasn't for [00:44:18] immigration, our care sector would would would would [00:44:22] plum it, oh who would care for? well, I mean, there's a serious [00:44:26] problem here and question marks about who we are actually bringing over to care for [00:44:30] our elderly people, isn't that? can they speak English, can they recognize dog [00:44:34] food, will they actually turn up to care for them, will they leave [00:44:38] them in terrible situations? all night, you know, I mean, this is the [00:44:41] thing, we do need better vetting, don't we, and and absolutely, this is, there is an [00:44:45] absolutely wider national question here about the suitability these [00:44:49] skilled workers that come over and the rigorous testing that they're put through, before [00:44:53] they're given the responsibilities of looking after those in our society that are [00:44:57] most in need, equally, how the government and how [00:45:00] bodies react to these situations, it took an entire year almost for the [00:45:04] CQC, the care quality commission to put this particular care [00:45:08] group into special measures, the... May 2025, year, [00:45:12] almost a year after the first report, so there is definitely a wider question of [00:45:15] here of of how councils, local authorities and the wider [00:45:19] network can support people to ensure the safety the people most in need. [00:45:23] Absolutely, thank you very very much counselor George Madwick there, and we [00:45:27] contacted counselor Matthew Winnington, cabinet member for community [00:45:30] well-being, health and care who said we accept the ombudsman's findings in full and [00:45:34] recognize the seriousness of what happened in this case, we ended our contract [00:45:38] with Radis, which is the company in question. early and we no longer [00:45:42] work with or commission them, the car described in the report is not the standard [00:45:45] anyone should expect, particularly at such a vulnerable time in someone's [00:45:49] life, we have apologized. the actual uh company [00:45:53] rares community care said a statement, the fact that dog food was [00:45:57] mistakenly provided was holy unacceptable, it said that it had improved its [00:46:01] services and procedures and was no longer employing the careworker [00:46:04] involved, right? okay, look, loads more coming your way, we're going to be talking about [00:46:08] this. [00:46:10] yourself, [00:46:15] yes, was the officer who shot and killed gang member Chris [00:46:19] Cabber, who's today been cleared of misconduct, actually thrown under the [00:46:22] bus by the met. That's [00:46:24] next, [00:46:29] from the school run to the home run, watch new show for all of [00:46:33] Britain. We can say whatever he wants, a straight talking show where all [00:46:36] voices are heard. I've been in Westminster for a long [00:48:31] time, but [00:48:31] I know that though power may be here, its effect on people's lives [00:48:35] is across the whole the country. Join me, Nana Aqueer for an [00:49:01] informative, interactive news program with the difference, it's [00:49:04] fun. Oh no, he didn't say that [00:49:07] though. I'm so surprised. I think there's an element of truth to [00:49:11] that. It's joined me from 3:00 p.m. every weekend only [00:49:15] on GB News, Britain's news [00:49:17] channel. I'm Tom [00:49:21] Harvard, this is... GB News, Britain's news [00:49:24] channel. [00:49:33] Well, welcome back, we come straight back in with some breaking news, because last night we introduced you [00:49:37] to Professor Jason Arday, the Cambridge professor, dubbed as Cambridge's youngest [00:49:41] ever black professor, who's found himself embroiled in a plajurism row. [00:49:45] Well, I can tell you that he's now resigned this evening, after a string of [00:49:48] allegations, many claims he's made about his life have come under [00:49:51] scrutiny. "he claimed to have run 600 miles in six days, [00:49:55] feat that would have placed him amongst the world's elite athletes. he later modified [00:49:59] it to say it was 12 days, actually. he claimed to have personally raised 5 million quid [00:50:03] for charity. now he says that he was part of a syndicate of hundred people. he also [00:50:07] alleged that a pig's head was sent to his parents house as part of harassment campaign, [00:50:11] but the police appeared to have no record of this investigation. he also said he [00:50:15] appeared a tv show that ed 20 years before he was born and [00:50:19] today it's revealed yet another porky. yes, professor [00:50:22] Jason our day repeatedly claimed that he was the author of a book called being young [00:50:26] black and male challenging the dominant discourse which was said to explore [00:50:30] stereotypes about black masculinity and apparently [00:50:34] um he wasn't so that's quite important uh it really [00:50:38] is the story that keeps on giving joining us this evening to discuss this [00:50:42] is Mark littlewood uh Mark thank you very much well he's resigned this evening [00:50:45] actually in a statement that some people are joking on on social [00:50:49] media appears to be 100% AI generated. 'yes, you [00:50:53] would have thought he would have had the good grace to at least have written his resignation himself, [00:50:57] perhaps he didn't even do that. this is an extraordinary [00:51:00] tale, Patrick. I mean, I think earlier in the show uh, you were [00:51:04] referring to lot of people saying he's Britain's biggest example [00:51:08] of a Walter Mity character, but on the face of it, it looks more like deliberate [00:51:12] grifft, right? I'm not sure that he believes this about himself, that [00:51:16] book you referred to, I believe, it's not just that he didn't write it, it was never [00:51:19] published, such a book does, it just doesn't exist.' so it's [00:51:23] extraordinary the extent to which he has uh, I [00:51:27] mean not embellished his CV, but apparently entirely [00:51:31] confected it, but the real story here I think is [00:51:34] how on earth did one the great universities the [00:51:38] world full for all of this ei? um, well, I [00:51:41] mean, quite, [00:51:43] but it, I mean, that appears to be the moral the story, doesn't it, that [00:51:46] because he's got this uh, position of being the [00:51:50] youngest black professor ever ever... at Cambridge, we we, we [00:51:54] mustn't actually cross-examine his academic credentials and his [00:51:57] various claims about his CV, some of which you would have thought you could [00:52:01] check out incredibly easily, I mean you've mentioned that running. stuff yeah, [00:52:05] mean he he would be in the British Olympic team, well there's also there's also [00:52:09] look, it's very important to say this that as he was facing criticism and being called out for [00:52:13] some of this stuff, loads of people rushed to his [00:52:16] defense, and these are some very, very prominent [00:52:20] people, and even some some some other people at [00:52:23] Cambridge University, and he was saying, look, this is [00:52:27] racism, yeah, this is essential, I'm paraphrasing here, but this is racist [00:52:31] witch hunt, yes, and actually it's not is it? [00:52:35] "I mean, I think that the racial dimension it isn't racism. I think [00:52:39] that you might sort of say, oh, is this bloke actually just a [00:52:43] DIRE, rather [00:52:44] than academic hire? So that might put you on alert, but all the questions are [00:52:48] reasonable. I mean, the most extraordinary part of this case in so far as the [00:52:52] authorities not associated with Cambridge University are concerned, is a [00:52:56] journalist from the Times Higher Education supplement started asking questions of [00:53:00] him, and Scotland Yard intervened against the [00:53:03] journalist because..." "this was apparently bad for our day's [00:53:07] mental health, yeah, this is just absolutely incredible, just going to [00:53:10] pause mark, sorry about that, thank you for stepping in, but we're very quickly now going to be talking by the associate [00:53:14] editor the daily telegraph, helped to break lot of this stuff, it's gordon ray, gordon, i'm sorry [00:53:18] we've not got long now, but but go on, what was your views on the fact that he has resigned this [00:53:22] evening? well, i think it's been inevitable for quite [00:53:26] some time, patrick, i think as soon as this all started to blow [00:53:29] up, um, you know, his credentials were so [00:53:32] clearly uh questionable and uh with every day that passed there were more and [00:53:36] more questions, there were more things that we looked at uh that just turned out not to be [00:53:40] right um and I think there's some serious questions as I think [00:53:43] your guests have been saying there um for Cambridge [00:53:47] University, why was he appointed in the first place, why did they [00:53:50] ignore uh people who were telling them as long as three years ago that you need to look at this [00:53:54] guy, there's something not right, um why did they [00:53:58] defend [00:53:59] him, why did they accuse people like me as well [00:54:01] as the times are education of vial campaign to undermine his [00:54:05] credibility when we were just asking legitimate questions about his [00:54:09] bonafidays um what are those people going to do now are they [00:54:13] going to look at themselves um they certainly need to it's it's all the [00:54:17] usual suspects i'm afraid that came into bat for him as well you know people [00:54:21] professors of black studies people are have got you experts in [00:54:25] decolonization and all of that stuff and then [00:54:27] you know they're going to have to they're going to have to show some contrition now look gordon thank you i'm sorry it's so short and [00:54:31] sweet but it's great to have you and well done with all the work you've been doing he's gorden there is the associate. [00:54:35] the daily telegraph and thank you Mark as well - look coming up uh we've [00:54:39] got we're going to be talking about the officer who shot gang member chris carbry has [00:54:43] been cleared of [00:54:44] misconduct [00:54:50] expect warm spells with the odd rude [00:54:54] interruption box boiler sponsors the weather on [00:54:57] GB News hello again very good evening [00:55:01] to you this is your GB news weather forecast from the Met Office. Whilst there [00:55:05] is some thundery rain across parts of Scotland at the moment, most of that will clear [00:55:09] through overnight, leaving a fresher, dryer day for many of [00:55:13] us tomorrow. We do still have a frontal system making its way across [00:55:17] Scotland at the moment, and this is bringing further outbreaks of rain, some [00:55:20] could still be heavy and thundery for a little while yet, but through the night [00:55:24] we will see the rain in the north breaking up a little bit and so it will [00:55:28] be turning dryer. All the time across southern areas it will be dry [00:55:32] night with lots of clear sky and that temperatures are going to [00:55:36] be a little bit lower than they have been through some recent nights, mid-teens [00:55:40] across some southern areas, some places further north getting into single [00:55:44] digits, so we do wake up tomorrow morning to a bit of cloudy start [00:55:48] across central and eastern parts of Scotland and there will be some rain but [00:55:52] not as much rain as we've seen through recent days and actually western parts [00:55:56] of Scotland having some decent sunshine through the morning. a bit of a shary [00:56:00] mix of sunny spells, shary burst of rain for northern ireland, [00:56:03] cloudia across parts of and western England and Wales and few spots [00:56:07] of rain can't be ruled out, but central and eastern parts will get off to [00:56:11] fine sunny start. now some the cloud in the north will feed a bit further [00:56:15] southwards, so there will be some cloud at times across southern areas, but there should break up [00:56:19] into the afternoon with increasing amounts of sunshine here and further north, [00:56:23] well apart from the odd spot of rain it is going to be much dryer than it has been [00:56:26] recently, especially by the afternoon. with that though, slight change in [00:56:30] our wind direction means especially in the southeast it's going to feel markedly fresher than it has [00:56:34] done. late high of around 22 or 23 celsius. [00:56:38] Into Friday and w much the UK will be largely dry, just few spots of rain [00:56:42] here and there, towards the far northwest, there's likely to be some wetter [00:56:46] windier weather here elsewhere, yes, plenty of dry, sunny weather to [00:56:49] be had, and it staying mostly dry in the south into the weekend, [00:56:53] and here temperatures are set to rise again, good chance we'll get back into the high [00:56:57] 20s. Bye-bye. Expect warm [00:56:59] spells with the odd rude [00:57:02] interruption. [01:01:22] Get ready, Britain, here [01:01:23] we [01:01:33] go, dead senior [01:01:37] figures at the mat, throw one their own under the bus. [01:01:40] Next. [01:01:48] Very good evening to you from the news room, more from Patrick and the panel shortly. First though, the [01:01:52] headlines tonight at 10. The police watchdog has dropped its [01:01:55] misconduct case against the Met firearms officer involved in the fatal [01:01:59] shooting of Chris Kabber. The officer was cleared of murder last year [01:02:03] after shooting the 24-year-old in South London in [01:02:06] 2022, but he'd still been due to face possible [01:02:09] misconduct action. The independent office for police conduct says it [01:02:13] reviewed the case after changes to rules around police use of force. [01:02:17] Met commissioner Sir Mark Rowy says that the decision ends almost four years of [01:02:21] uncertainty for the officer, the campaigners for Chris Cabber's family [01:02:25] say it sends a dangerous [01:02:26] message. Come baby. is [01:02:30] facing growing backlash tonight after a former neo-nazi who withdrew as a [01:02:34] conservative council candidate was offered an advisory roll within the [01:02:38] party. Joshua Bonehill Paine had been selected to stand in Somerset [01:02:42] despite previously being jailed for subjecting a former labour [01:02:45] MP to what a judge called cruel campaign of vile and [01:02:49] racist abuse. He has now withdrawn his candidacy saying he needs [01:02:53] to show the Jewish community how much he regrets his previous [01:02:56] actions. But labor says giving him an advisory role. insult and [01:03:00] claims it raises serious questions about Kemmy Beadenock's [01:03:04] judgment. [01:03:09] Cambridge University's youngest black professor has resigned after [01:03:13] a row over his academic record. Jason Arday, a [01:03:17] professor of sociology of education, stepped down after the university [01:03:21] launched investigation into his qualifications and honory [01:03:24] appointments. The inquiry followed reports questioning claims that he [01:03:28] made about his career in. including a book he said he had [01:03:31] published and allegations the part of his PhD thesis were [01:03:35] copied from another student. Professor Arday says the accusations and [01:03:39] public commentary have taken a profound toll and says his [01:03:42] resignation should not be mistaken for accepting the claims made against [01:03:46] him. Also tonight [01:03:50] West Streating is facing questions over donations from a think tank linked [01:03:53] to disgraced cryptocurrency fraud stuff Sam Bankman [01:03:57] freed. Reports have emerged new defense secretary accepted [01:04:01] more than 37,000 [01:04:04] from labor for the long-term in 2022 and 23. the [01:04:08] think tank's founder had received more than half million pounds from bankman [01:04:12] free shortly before its first donation to mr [01:04:15] streeting. well west streating spokesman claims all donations were properly [01:04:18] declared, all due diligence was followed and there is no suggestion he [01:04:22] knew about the source the founder's [01:04:24] funding. new official [01:04:28] guidance on single sex spaces as come into force today across England, Wales [01:04:31] and Scotland. The code published by the Equality and Human Rights [01:04:35] Commission covers public facilities, including toilets and changing [01:04:39] rooms. It says trans people should use either gender neutral [01:04:42] facilities or those that match their biological sex. The [01:04:46] guidance follows last year's Supreme Court ruling the sex inequality law means [01:04:49] biological sex rather than gender [01:04:52] identity. [01:04:56] And Ed Millerband has been challenged today over his past criticism of Donald Trump. Trump, [01:05:00] during talks with US secretary of state, Marco Rubio, the new foreign [01:05:04] secretary, was asked whether he still stood by comments he previously made [01:05:07] about the US president. Mr. Do you [01:05:11] still think the president is an idiot, racist and [01:05:15] misogenist? Well, Ed Miraban didn't answer that [01:05:18] question, instead, smiling and saying he was looking forward to the meeting. [01:05:22] Behind the smiles though, the talks focused on some the biggest global issues [01:05:26] facing both countries. The pair discussed the wars in Ukraine and Iran. on the [01:05:30] situation in Gaza to and efforts to reopen the straight of Hour Moose. [01:05:34] Mr. Millaban says reopening that vital shipping route is essential [01:05:37] to easing cost of living pressures here at [01:05:39] home. Those are the latest headlines. One [01:05:43] more round up at 11 o'clock. Now though it's back to Patrick. [01:05:47] You can now watch GB News live across the United States of [01:05:51] America and the world on Truth Plus. Today, the police [01:06:10] federation threatened legal action against the labour government over the early [01:06:14] release of two remorseless cop killers. The two [01:06:18] monsters guilty the killing of PC Andrew [01:06:22] Harper. Uh, there they are, yes, just smiling away [01:06:25] is uh being led away. Uh, now Andrew [01:06:29] Harper was an officer with Tems Valley police who [01:06:33] today came out and openly criticized the prime minister. I do [01:06:37] worry about the morale, not just of my own organization, the confidence uh of [01:06:40] my my 10,00 people who work uh with Tim valley police. [01:06:44] So I'd urge the government to uh look again at this issue. I know it's a difficult [01:06:48] situation uh because the prison crisis that we have, but I would urge the [01:06:52] government to to look again because I do think there is risk of impacting public [01:06:56] confidence in the criminal justice system. Pretty rare for. please force [01:07:00] to come out and say something like that about a prime minister, but it does get worse for the prime [01:07:04] minister. it's emerged today that [01:07:06] 9,300 domestic abuses are said to be [01:07:10] released early thanks to his government's [01:07:13] decision, so how many women and children will be put at risk there? [01:07:17] there's no way that you're telling me that the authorities are going to be able to keep tabs on all them, and we [01:07:21] actually know that this is backfired before. domestic abuser [01:07:24] Jason Hoganson was released early back in November [01:07:28] 2024. he was then... to prison 24 hours [01:07:31] later after immediately trying to contact the woman he was in [01:07:35] prison for abusing has let [01:07:39] down the police and survivors of domestic abuse. but now it's emerged is [01:07:43] also letting down children who've been sexually abused. Initially, [01:07:47] lot of people misread headlines like this, mainly because [01:07:51] people wrote quite dodgy looking headlines, because it makes it [01:07:55] sound that doesn't it, like any rapist or any child sex abuser won't [01:07:59] be released, but that's not true. what labor has actually said [01:08:03] is that only the serious child sex offenders won't be allowed out [01:08:07] early. i'm sorry, is there any form of child sexual abuse that isn't [01:08:10] serious? unfortunately and... Vernam can't face questions about this because he [01:08:14] decided to swan off on holiday, but if I was interviewing him, I'd just [01:08:18] ask him to specify exactly which child sex offenses he thought [01:08:22] were unserious and it's all warped, isn't it? And if you just [01:08:26] want more evidence of how mental the justice system is. Take a look at [01:08:29] this. [01:08:38] Yes, a police officer who shot Gangland triggerman, Chris. [01:08:42] harbor dead after the vial armed criminal tried to drive his [01:08:46] car into police officers will now not face misconduct hearing, that's good, [01:08:50] that's the good bit, okay, that's not the bit that's warped, the warp bit [01:08:54] really is this, um, today's decision by the IPC that after four [01:08:57] years NX121 will not be facing any [01:09:01] misconduct um hearing is welcome, [01:09:05] but this has taken far too long, oh [01:09:09] it's taken far too long, oh I've always been on the side of of. of this [01:09:12] particular police officer, personally, I just think Mark Rowy and the [01:09:16] man actually can get stuffed, because watch closely here, you might [01:09:20] recognize the police officer in this video, [01:09:24] and this was taken shortly after the shooting of Chris [01:09:27] Cabber. Firstly, I would like to offer my heartfelt [01:09:31] condolences to the family of Chris Cabber, I can't begin [01:09:35] to imagine what they're going through at this difficult time for them, as they try to [01:09:39] come to terms with the loss their loved one. I know there is... [01:09:43] deal of concern out there about this instant, the [01:09:46] community are hurt and there is [01:09:48] trauma. that man is Alexis [01:09:52] Boon, the bloke now in charge of Hampshire police and the force which [01:09:56] delayed administering first aid to Henry Novac because they believed his [01:10:00] ethnic minority murderer instead of him, and Alexis Boon could not issue [01:10:04] anything like the same emotion over that as he did after [01:10:08] Chris Carper was shot and killed, yeah he was at the met at [01:10:12] the... and he was apologizing that to the family of [01:10:15] Chris Carber, worried about the community, oh gosh, I know you've experienced trauma. [01:10:19] Carber had actually shot a bloke a busy nightclub not long before he [01:10:23] himself was killed by a police officer who was just trying to protect himself [01:10:27] and others. It actually also took a jewelry just matter of hours to clear the police [01:10:31] officer for murder. It has taken the IOPC four [01:10:34] years now to clear his name entirely. Why did the CPS [01:10:38] even charge it? I suspect simply because he shot a black man. and [01:10:42] they were worried about being called racist. the justice system in this [01:10:46] country is absolutely rotten to the core, isn't it? let's [01:10:50] get the views of my panel on this now. mark, we'll start with you, Mark littlewood. um, look, there's obviously a couple [01:10:54] of different aspects to this. um, firstly uh, the early [01:10:58] release scheme, Andy Burnham appears to have have lost the [01:11:01] support of Tems Valley police, I suspect wider police forces as [01:11:05] well, and you know, he's accused now of letting [01:11:08] down victims of domestic abuse and childs. victims [01:11:12] of sexual abuse. It's absolutely incredible this. I know that [01:11:16] the uh defenders the labour government will say, and it's a fair [01:11:19] criticism that the conservatives didn't build enough prison places, but [01:11:23] you've had two years to think through what your early release scheme [01:11:27] might look like, and in rough terms I think it's about 50% the prison [01:11:31] population are in there for violence or sex crimes. Well, I would completely [01:11:35] discount that lot and look at the other 50%. There also doesn't [01:11:39] seem to be any clarity around what the terms. of early release [01:11:43] might be, I mean, for example, if you released someone, [01:11:47] preferably not a child sex offender, but somebody who have been involved, I don't know, a [01:11:50] robbery, and you said, well, you've actually got to stay at home [01:11:54] or within a mile of your house, or if you've traumatized some innocent [01:11:58] people a particular town, you can't go within 10 miles of that town, none [01:12:02] these conditions appear to have been thought through either, it's absolutely [01:12:06] extordinary, because the the overcrowding was a problem that [01:12:10] this government inherited, but it's had two... years to think through the [01:12:14] solution and Addy Burnham's making it up over his [01:12:17] tea over over a weekend, it's absolutely mad, so I'm [01:12:20] unsurprised that the police force are worried about this buse in [01:12:24] essence their workload goes up because they know lot of [01:12:28] crims are coming out of prison and will be in the community much earlier than was [01:12:31] anticipated, yeah, and when it was first released [01:12:35] that I think it was, it was misreported [01:12:38] actually, um, the headlines were were poorly written. [01:12:42] about there'll be no rapists released or child sex offenders, [01:12:46] but actually when you read it, they say no serious child sex offenders, [01:12:50] so just just a little bit of child sex offendings okay, but we [01:12:54] we draw the line. something else, I find that really perplexing the [01:12:57] government now deciding and we can't question him because he's on holiday, this [01:13:01] is the thing we can't say to him, sorry Andy, which which child sex offenses [01:13:05] do you think are okay? well, unfortunately we've got a prime minister that becomes prime [01:13:09] minister and then avoids going to parliament, despite having the opportunity to go to parliament, chose not [01:13:13] to, chose to muddle around with that, then all these horrific things are [01:13:17] happening and we are getting misleading headlines of course from the establishment Westminster [01:13:21] media that don't like [01:13:22] to tell the British people the truths, if they do that there would be a problem in this country. 'I think if people [01:13:25] knew what's really going [01:13:26] in this country [01:13:27] we would see civil unrest and then of course we then have uh the situation [01:13:31] here where we've got a prime minister who I don't [01:13:35] actually think he's that bothered about uh prisoners being released early [01:13:39] what he's bothered about is that the public might start turning on him a bit quicker [01:13:43] than he thought already we've seen the burn and bounce isn't a thing already we're [01:13:46] seeing that he is incredibly unpopular with his choices of government [01:13:50] appointments so I think what Burnham will be doing is trying to [01:13:54] hide and I mean'. by the way, how on earth is that bloke on holiday right [01:13:57] now? he's just become prime minister. mean, most normal people when they get a [01:14:01] job don't go on annual leave within a few weeks i mean it's absolutely [01:14:04] crazy. i've got nothing against people having arrest. but the point [01:14:08] about um this story [01:14:09] i think and i think particularly with this police officer here is we have [01:14:13] serious situation in this country where the police are bothered about [01:14:17] offending absolutely everybody apart from white people. that's the truth for the [01:14:21] matter. heterosexual white people even worse so we've got a situation this. [01:14:25] where people are too scared [01:14:26] to talk about um radical islam because they might be called islamophobic which is not [01:14:30] a real world - they try to - talk about the fact that actually [01:14:34] we should do stop and search but all no though that's really offensive towards black people the reality [01:14:38] in this country is the police and by [01:14:40] the way police officers tell me this police officers and they'll get sacked if they say a [01:14:44] work but they tell me essex police officers in particular and police officers in a met that live in [01:14:48] essex that also my residents tell me they are so scared [01:14:52] to speak the truth at work because the institute. bias [01:14:56] is unbearable, but these people have got mortgages to pay, and so what we need to [01:15:00] see, and I hope police officers do this, I hope we start to see them actually [01:15:04] whistleblow what is really going on in our police forces, because the institutional bias against [01:15:08] white people is horrendous. Well, okay, we'll focus on [01:15:12] the early release thing and we'll come to the Chris Cabber police officer a [01:15:15] second, but this early release thing is is is going south pretty quickly for [01:15:19] Bernnam, isn't it? I mean tally police to come out today, people are trying to stick [01:15:23] things to burn at the moment because... is desperate to bring him down just as he [01:15:27] started, he started well, he started, he's announced um plans [01:15:31] every single day since he started, and and he's entitled to a [01:15:35] holiday, he the man probably hasn't slept in months, [01:15:39] and you we need a prime minister who who is fresh and [01:15:42] you can come back and make decisions, always is the time when most people are on holiday, this is the [01:15:46] easiest time to take a holiday, if he took a holiday in the middle of something where [01:15:49] it was, parliament's not sitting, how can you grudge the a [01:15:53] holiday, he he needs to reach charges batteries and come back [01:15:56] and anybody, I mean you're sneering, Jamie, but [01:16:00] I can't keep Patrick, this times when you've been on your absolute knees and you have needed [01:16:04] a holiday and you've taken a holiday and nobody's castigated you, [01:16:08] we've all been also cancel my honey mood to report on the general election, well feel [01:16:12] like that wasn't necessary for fatigue was it, [01:16:14] no, [01:16:20] so selfish [01:16:24] duty. an organisation as the prime minister is head of [01:16:27] government and things are going wrong in the organization you can't [01:16:30] leave things things are not [01:16:34] going wrong and a [01:16:37] the thing rock [01:16:37] is between rock and the hard place that when when labor took [01:16:41] over there just 700 odd places [01:16:44] and you were quite right you try to lance the ball saying that the [01:16:48] touries were actually you know disastrous with [01:16:51] this they they can't they you dumped 20% three [01:16:55] prisons, [01:16:56] you actually abol two years to work this government, well let's [01:17:00] just get to the the the spending billions [01:17:03] of god all well okay, [01:17:06] fine, police officer, [01:17:08] want to fit this in nina, sorry right so you allowed them to speak for hours and hours and [01:17:12] hours apparently fell asleep listening to them, oh god well hopefully the viewers didn't anyway um so [01:17:16] right look yes this this police officer now okay it's all very well and good [01:17:20] for mark roly from the met to come up and go oh gosh this [01:17:23] awful this took [01:17:23] four years cl nice name, well there was at the time very senior [01:17:27] member the met who was doing a a groveling video apology to the family of [01:17:31] chriskar, if i had been that firearms officer then, i'd have been thinking, right, well there you [01:17:35] go, that's me, that's me, bang, isn't it, cheers mate, it's a [01:17:39] disaster, mean i i think essentially what we've had, i've got some sympathy with [01:17:43] what Jamie said, is the outcome, but we've basically seen [01:17:46] a massive overcorrection in policing, i think if [01:17:50] you go back to the 70s, 80s, possibly in the 90s, there is a [01:17:54] problem, "you start looking at the statistics of what sort of people are dying in police [01:17:58] custody, for example, and it doesn't tend to be white people, that had to [01:18:02] be dealt with, but it's gone way too far the other [01:18:05] way uh, we have got..." to instill in every [01:18:09] copper um from the most junior trainee right to the [01:18:12] top that their overarching priority is to [01:18:16] crack crime and to nick the bad guys, not to [01:18:20] be sitting in on courses about sensitivity to people's [01:18:23] particular racial or religious preferences, and there's now, as [01:18:27] Jamie rightly identifies, clearly a culture of fear about [01:18:31] speaking [01:18:32] out about this, anything that suggests that you think the whole DI [01:18:36] regime has gone too far career ending, and that [01:18:40] leads to these outrageous statements being made, and for this poor coper, [01:18:43] okay, this has come to an end, but the process is the [01:18:47] punishment, he's lost four years of his life, he's done nothing [01:18:51] wrong, well and there was also big things i mean, we're we're not naming him [01:18:55] right, but but he was named in court, that will [01:18:58] unquestionably have put him at huge risk as well, i'll give j the final [01:19:01] word, so nina, we're back to you here, do do you think that this [01:19:05] this firearms officer was was th'? into the wolves a bit, because essentially [01:19:09] he he shot an ethnic minority. I don't, I think that I think you're [01:19:13] people are paranoid about that sort of stuff, I mean what Jamie's been saying is that [01:19:17] you know the white heterosexual male is is is the most [01:19:21] beleged uh part of our society, that's absolute paranoid, it's [01:19:25] not true, it you know there are still you you said that there was [01:19:29] racism, we we known that for decades and decades and decades up until [01:19:33] say the 90s, it still exists, it still exists, the people who are stopped in [01:19:36] search of... still in the majority black [01:19:40] people, that there there is still racism, and [01:19:44] there there's racism, nina, because you can identify certain [01:19:47] communities, men more than women, afro-caribbians more [01:19:51] than Hong Kong, Chinese, who are more likely to be involved in crime, it's just [01:19:55] fact, and facts can't be racist, so if you're stopping and searching people, [01:19:59] you would tend to stop young Afro Caribbean men, not elderly [01:20:03] Jewish women, not because you're racist, because that's what the criminal data tells [01:20:06] you, i can i can take, i can take that point, but but i [01:20:10] think the the the balance is still too far the other [01:20:14] way, i can, i can quite see [01:20:16] that there's there's an overcompensation in in certain cases, but it's [01:20:20] i think overall the feeling is still, there is still racism, right? well, [01:20:24] well, with with this today, mean, okay, so he's not going to face any kind of [01:20:28] misconduct hearing, he was charged with murder, and [01:20:32] and basically it was one these cases where when the jury [01:20:35] actually watched the video, they're like, why the heck is this guy [01:20:39] even here? and it just make me worry, it's [01:20:43] already want to go for Mark [01:20:45] r come go we actually we've supported him behind the scenes a lot actually and [01:20:49] there was a blog there it [01:20:50] was essentially just say oh i'm so sorry for the trauma that you [01:20:54] suffered if i came and issued a statement like that on an active court [01:20:57] case i i feel like i could get done for contempt of [01:21:01] court well this is it isn't it ultimately we have a [01:21:04] DI rot in our institutions public [01:21:07] institutions, I want police officers, especially firearms police [01:21:11] officers to have zero hesitation to shoot someone, it's [01:21:15] a danger to the public when they have made that assessment that they are trained to do. I want [01:21:19] zero concern from them about whether or not they've got a lawyer behind them [01:21:23] about to take away their life, their mortgage and maybe even their freedom. And what happened in [01:21:27] this case is a police officer in the line of duty protecting the [01:21:31] public has had four-year punishment by process because he [01:21:35] did his job and it's the same for our arm. is same for our veterans who are worried [01:21:39] about the lawyers behind them rather than the them enemy [01:21:41] front in and so so you've got you got few justice stories rolled into one there [01:21:45] and essentially what it boils down to is that you've got a completely innocent [01:21:49] firearms officer who was very bravely doing his job who nearly had his [01:21:53] life completely destroyed and then you've actually got uh [01:21:57] non-serius quote i'm airquoting for our radio listeners their child [01:22:01] sex offenders being released you've got domestic abuses being released and you've got [01:22:05] cop killers being released early it's just where [01:22:07] are they to go? if if we don't have the places, where are they to go? [01:22:11] and the problem is that that when we release prisoners, the [01:22:15] recitivism rate is 50 to 60%, and most these [01:22:19] people are that are coming back, the places are being taken by people coming back in [01:22:22] within not in prison for violence, we should be looking at [01:22:26] that, we should be looking at that, but the state of our prisons is is is a they're [01:22:30] supposed to be not only to to to punish people, not only to keep [01:22:33] them away from the public, but they're supposed to rehabilitate them because [01:22:36] what is the point of releasing them? 'if they are not fit for society and and [01:22:40] and and be able to contribute and get a job. All right, I think I think with that though, [01:22:44] the first bit be have to choose some genuine remorse, which some people do, but there's no [01:22:47] evidence of it unfortunately when it comes to the killers of of PC Andrew Harper, the [01:22:51] certainly not not publicly, but anyway that's that's the dreadful thing, and as always the [01:22:55] victims are just not important in this conversation, and that's the worst thing about [01:22:59] it. All right, well uh, on that on that note uh, I do need to tell you [01:23:02] about the Great British giveaway, yes, and here was all the details, it's [01:23:06] Haley Sparks'. [01:28:14] well, welcome back. so this is an absolutely remarkable story, so it's [01:28:18] becoming a familiar story. from the police, I'm afraid, remember [01:28:22] when telegraph columnist Allison Pearson found police at her [01:28:26] door over social media post which she last week actually received apology [01:28:29] and damaged for, but the... of essex police [01:28:33] and then there was the couple arrested after [01:28:37] criticizing their daughters primary school a whatsapp group. well [01:28:41] now journalist jonathan sakadoti had the police turn up at his home [01:28:45] after a tense exchange with a green party [01:28:48] canvasser. the case was later dropped and no further action was [01:28:52] taken. is this another example the police spending time [01:28:56] policing speech instead of fighting crime? i'm very pleased to be joined this [01:29:00] evening by the journalist. and Saccadoti, well, [01:29:04] thank you very, very much. So can I just get something straight then? So people knocked on your [01:29:08] front door, so they've turned up, unannounced, a property you [01:29:11] own, and then you've had disagreement with them, and then they've [01:29:15] reported you to the police, what's happened? [01:29:19] So back during the campaigning period before the local [01:29:23] elections, the green party did turn up to my house, as lots of [01:29:27] parties do, and I told the canvaser that I didn't want them here, that [01:29:30] I'm Jewish, and that I can... their party to be anti-semitic and I [01:29:34] was very disturbed by the policies that the party was putting [01:29:38] forwards, so when they did turn up again, um, sometime later, [01:29:42] few weeks later, I was quite angry, because I had basically, as far [01:29:45] as I was concerned, [01:29:47] opted out, and this is something that they should record, they should not turn up at my [01:29:50] home, uh, and so another canvas turned up, and I once [01:29:54] again expressed my dissatisfaction uh, with their [01:29:57] policies, with their views, uh, and then a conversation ensued, let's [01:30:01] say, uh, "and I did go out of my house and [01:30:05] discuss with this candidate down the street somewhat, because she said a [01:30:09] couple of things which really did, I would say trigger me, they made me very upset, they made [01:30:13] me feel quite threatened and harassed, and that was that at one point when I [01:30:17] asked if she like the party leader believed that Jews were [01:30:21] worried about the perception of anti-semitism, you might remember Zak Palanski said [01:30:25] that instead of actually anti-semitism, despite the fact that Jews had been [01:30:28] killed on Yumkipur in Manchester, that Jews had been..." [01:30:32] in gold as green that ambulances and synagogues had been [01:30:35] firebombed, I asked that and I asked if they had a problem with [01:30:39] Jews in the party, she replied that she has lots of [01:30:43] Jewish friends who are anti-zionist and that maybe there [01:30:47] will be less anti-semitic attacks, fewer anti-semitic attacks on [01:30:50] Jews if Israel stopped killing children, now these sorts of things [01:30:54] really did make me very upset, and I argued [01:30:58] back, we had a conversation, I would say we had robust exchange of. [01:31:02] and then she started to ignore me uh, and for all of this, [01:31:06] weeks later, once they'd one in this area, I got this knock at the [01:31:10] door, we'd gone our separate ways at the end of this, and then I got this knock [01:31:14] on the door from the police who insisted on coming into the house uh, because they [01:31:17] said my neighbors might see if they were talking to me on the doorstep, and they [01:31:21] said that there was an allegation of harassment, that I had harassed [01:31:25] this woman who'd come to my door, when an actual fact they had come [01:31:29] to my house when they knew I didn't want them here, it turned... from what the police [01:31:33] said to me, the police woman said that they were aware who I was, [01:31:37] that I was a journalist, they know I'm Jewish, I told them that, I [01:31:41] also have mezuza on my door which is a Jewish item that identifies the home as a [01:31:45] Jewish house, so I felt very threatened by this, and I must say that I do [01:31:49] think that the green party is extremely problematic for Jews, and so I [01:31:52] think it was completely reasonable that when somebody comes around to try and sell this [01:31:56] political party to me, I might actually have something to question them [01:32:00] about or to disagree with. Well [01:32:02] I mean that it's that is a part of canvassing to an extent isn't [01:32:06] it I suppose and um political debate you [01:32:10] is a is a thing that should not be criminalized there just seem to be a bit of a discrepancy here between the way [01:32:14] the police have handled this and the way that they've handled things like [01:32:18] uh yeah pro- palestine demonstrators turning up outside synagogues, [01:32:22] restaurants, cinemas uh and and actually at times [01:32:26] elected politicians homes and and and and berated them [01:32:30] or block people block people going in. [01:32:32] I i 'I do wonder if the police forces in those areas have knocked on [01:32:36] every single person's front door there and and questioned them about [01:32:39] harassment. Well, you know what, Patrick, you, I, I agree [01:32:42] with you, because I've called the police in the past for things that have happened in this [01:32:46] street and they don't turn up, like the wind screen of my car or [01:32:50] rather the window of my car got smashed in uh, my car [01:32:54] had things stolen from it, and I called them as it was happening cuz I was right [01:32:58] next to it, they told me it's not life or death, we're not sending anyone, I've called [01:33:02] them.' "when the people in the local grocery shop down the road had been [01:33:05] threatened by the regular shoplifters with a bottle they'd stolen, [01:33:09] they threatened to strike the workers there, they won't come for that, but for this, [01:33:13] because the green party said that I was harassing them when they [01:33:17] came to my home when they knew who I was, and they [01:33:21] then refused to answer those questions about their party's [01:33:25] policies. I i just think that was an outrageous abuse of police time, I think it's [01:33:29] really weird that the police came, and then in the end the police dropped this after..." [01:33:32] sometime and after i involved lawyers paid for by the free speech [01:33:36] union - they dropped it because they said there was literally no [01:33:40] evidence that the allegation this woman had made happened [01:33:43] so bearing in mind they had had literally no evidence, i [01:33:47] don't understand why they came to my house, to my door, to my [01:33:51] home. an englishman's home is his castle, and i would say that to [01:33:55] turn up here and try to intimidate me, and that's what i felt was happening, i felt [01:33:59] this was attempt to intimidate me, when the police told me that they knew who i [01:34:03] who i am, that they know that i'm a journalist, it seemed very clear to me that [01:34:06] perhaps these people disagree with my opinions generally. [01:34:10] yes, well, suppose that will be the that would be the implication is that if they [01:34:14] if they knew that didn't like it and they thought, well if we turn up second time he [01:34:17] might he might kick off or something and then they then they they they try to kind [01:34:21] of may i just say if if you got time you [01:34:25] know the the the reason that i found them so triggering triggering [01:34:29] is that you know deputy leader mothan alley posted on around October the [01:34:33] 7th 2023 that indigenous people have a right to fight [01:34:37] back and he later also called a leads jewish chaplin an [01:34:40] IDF reservist a creep and an animal who went to Israel to [01:34:45] kill women and children and that chaplin's family had to go into hiding, [01:34:48] we've had the new castle candidate from the greens posting from a [01:34:52] parody and frank account who called for every zionist to be killed, called them [01:34:56] verman and rats, we've got this [01:34:57] rap will [01:35:01] just it's important for me to say at this point that none of those people that you've red off here [01:35:05] are are here to defend themselves this evening and and look i know that they've released a couple of statements [01:35:09] about things like that and done that not that you would necessarily [01:35:13] agree with what they've said obviously but they releaseed statements over the over the years [01:35:16] there just trying to either clarify their positions [01:35:19] or or deny certain things, but yes um, but look, I mean, for me it just seems absolutely [01:35:23] baffling that we don't we don't have serious crimes being solved on our streets, but someone could turn [01:35:27] up, someone could turn up there and and report you and then they end up the they end up [01:35:31] sending police officers around around to your house, it just seemed like under the free speech issue and it's you [01:35:35] know again it's it is absolutely boncus and it does come in light [01:35:39] the fact that um some activists not from the green party well not openly from the [01:35:43] green party anyway were going door to door to people's [01:35:46] houses in places like I think it was Bristol or Brighton [01:35:50] and and asking them if they wanted to support a boycot of Israel and the making [01:35:54] a little note of everyone's addresses depending on what they said which I mean I found [01:35:58] incredibly sinister and I'm not Jewish so there we go but Jon look thank you very very [01:36:01] much it's great to see you and um and it was interesting listening to the [01:36:05] Oxfordian as well so there you go so Jonathan Saccadoti there is a [01:36:09] journalist Jibies has reached out to the greens but [01:36:13] we have yet to receive reply so There you go uh, look, coming up, we will be [01:36:17] taking a look at all of Tomorrow's newspaper front pages including the daily mail, [01:36:21] yes here we go, they've splashed it, plagerism professor [01:36:24] resigns as Cambridge investigating, and can you tell me [01:36:28] what's going on [01:36:29] here? I'm Stephen Dixon and [01:40:20] thanks for joining us on GB News, Britain's news [01:40:23] channel. [01:40:32] 'Okay, welcome back, let's have look at tomorrow's newspaper front page, shall we? The Daily Express, early [01:40:36] release is betrayal of hero police officer, it's not going away the story is it, [01:40:40] that's doing pretty petel there now, getting stuck into Burnham's early release scheme, [01:40:43] uh, the daily mirror help is on [01:40:47] the way, um, now this is more than 150 new NHS mental health [01:40:51] centers will open a major boost for patients and [01:40:54] ANES, uh, the Metro'. "my [01:40:58] lad still serving time after a phone theft in 2005, [01:41:02] aamu's son is spent 14 years in prison after stealing a phone in [01:41:05] 2005 has begged Andy Burnam to free him [01:41:09] instead of convicted killers. um, [01:41:13] I will have to have a little look into uh some more details about this individual here, but it just [01:41:17] seem extraordinary if that was a first offence, but [01:41:20] anyway at [01:41:21] the daily mail. plajerism professor resigns as [01:41:25] Cambridge investigate just hours..." do they say they are going to investigate this guy, [01:41:29] Jason Arday quits, saying he needs time to [01:41:32] heal. Oh, there we go, let's focus on that, shall [01:41:36] we? um, I mean, this is an absolutely [01:41:39] extraordinary sorry, and it it appears, I mean, [01:41:43] Glasgow university at the distance themselves from him, saying he was never a visiting [01:41:46] professor there, Ohio university, I think it was at the distance themselves from [01:41:50] it, he said he'd written a book which has never been published, look, you all know, the [01:41:54] drill here, it's absolutely unb, [01:41:56] he said he was a television. show that and I think it was [01:42:00] 20 years before he was born, which is is, but [01:42:04] this is this is a real problem actually, like that he [01:42:08] managed to, it's it's id, it's idiotic, because these are all [01:42:11] things that can be checked and have been checked, which see [01:42:15] which it seems to be ludicrous, I mean it's not as damaging to be perfectly [01:42:19] honest as for instance somebody who reports to be a [01:42:22] surgeon and operates on people and has there have been [01:42:26] cases within. [01:42:31] for years and years as a surgeon and and they don't have the [01:42:35] qualifications? the best thing about this for me, the absolute [01:42:39] best thing about this is it's exposed beyond any reasonable [01:42:42] doubt, the people who are on the left who [01:42:46] are obsessed with race, obsessed with grievance, [01:42:49] obsessed with seeing division everywhere, it's supposed what they really are, yeah you've got [01:42:53] people here some high profile Cambridge university leaders who support this [01:42:57] guy, lord Simon Wolly, the principal of Homerton College at Cambridge, [01:43:01] prominent peer in the House of Lords, is is is one them who initially supported [01:43:05] this guy, did did Lord Wooley google or go [01:43:09] to or go to any the any the the [01:43:13] universities is guys claim to a work for, did he do it, or did he just [01:43:16] see fellow black person and think i need to support you? [01:43:20] yeah, well that's the question isn't it, I mean Nina's right, nobody's died [01:43:24] as a consequence of this, so that's some uh... [01:43:27] consolation, I suppose uh, but if I went to the head of [01:43:31] hospital and said, I think this chap who is conducting [01:43:35] brain surgery, doesn't have any qualifications and might risk killing [01:43:39] people, I wouldn't expect the head of that hospital to tell me I was [01:43:43] conducting vile campaign of [01:43:46] racism, that's that was the response of Cambridge University, vile [01:43:50] campaign to undermine mine this man's credibility, I'd expect my complaint to [01:43:54] be investigated properly, and if they said oh my 'god you're [01:43:58] right, but he's counterfitted his brain surgery certificate so [01:44:02] brilliantly that he pulled the wood over [01:44:04] and he's and he's got autism all [01:44:07] right and but here Cambridge'. have had vast amounts of information in [01:44:11] front them and have decided to turn a blind eye to it, this goes right the [01:44:15] way right the way through the kind of people that will that will that will [01:44:18] blindly support this blog, okay you've got um the general secretary the national [01:44:22] education union, you've got a prominent windrush campaign now, you've got [01:44:26] professor cahinde andrews, the professor of black studies at birmingham city [01:44:30] university, [01:44:31] i wrote a book called the psychosis of whiteness, dr [01:44:34] sholer, she supported him uh who else have we got here, load [01:44:38] loads, it's endless, but actually 'if you'd ask me to guess zach Polansky, [01:44:42] John McDonald, Lewis mp, yeah, these are [01:44:44] Clive all the people that just if you'd have if you'd have strapped a blindfold [01:44:48] over me, I could, I could have told you pretty much who was going to support this guy, are [01:44:52] we going to get any kind of contrition from from these people, maybe before away on this, I [01:44:56] think the number one story going tonight having look at all these papers is how irrelevant [01:45:00] the tory party is, I cannot believe that the convicted neo nazi candidate is not [01:45:04] featuring anywhere if this h been a reform counselor a parking the car [01:45:08] in the wrong space it would have been a front page story'. no [01:45:11] one died on this particular story um, i think, as you just pointed [01:45:15] out, the sort of people that are very involved in these kind of things [01:45:18] like the MPs you just mentioned for example, [01:45:22] clearly this person would have been quite easy to detect by their [01:45:25] association with some these people, but what i think is embarrassing and and [01:45:29] actually quite sad is for all those students that are saving working really really [01:45:33] hard to be in institution like these universities for [01:45:37] all those they're really like doing their best. to to come out with [01:45:41] graduation and to to to pay for that, they've been literally [01:45:45] wronged, and people that should be doing their due diligence haven't, and there [01:45:49] should be accountability, the thing is, do we know whether he was a good [01:45:52] professor or not, do we know whether he was a good that he taught [01:45:56] the students well, no, no, exact, well exactly, so we're you [01:46:00] know [01:46:01] we you were saying the poor students, the poor students may have actually [01:46:04] learn back to your earlier point, suppose you might be able to conduct [01:46:07] brain surgery adequately even if you haven't got no, you can't, you can't [01:46:11] no, no, issue here is that he has deceived the university [01:46:15] about his academic achievents, [01:46:18] it's dreadful, that disqualifies him, the fact that he blagged it through that far he might have been able to [01:46:22] teach few students something is [01:46:24] for Jamie's saying the poor [01:46:27] students and I'm saying the poor students, we don't know whether they have [01:46:31] learned from him or not, I'll tell you why how I think I know that bause it says very clearly here, [01:46:34] poster boy for diversity as the university's youngest ever black [01:46:38] professor. so [01:46:40] what answers my question? no, it doesn't, that answers the is was he [01:46:44] a good teacher or not? can't be [01:46:47] the test, [01:46:51] i agree, i agree, it's dreadful, it's awful, he shouldn't have done it [01:46:55] whatever, but i'm just saying while you're saying, the real issue [01:46:59] university, [01:47:03] cambridge university should get no further state support until they have explained how [01:47:06] they fell into this trap, not state. show how far [01:47:10] you can push it seriously and how how how far you can [01:47:14] go on the old DI stuff before somebody bl [01:47:18] before and then to claim it's all racism when someone points it [01:47:21] out but i should say uh jason arday is of course not here to defend himself goodness only [01:47:25] knows what he's up to this evening has previously denied the [01:47:29] allegations in recent days has said that his apparent plagerism [01:47:33] was was was not really that he says um he absorbs [01:47:36] information through mimicry a statement released by the good [01:47:40] law project our day said today, it is with profound [01:47:44] sadness that I write to resign with immediate effects. Sadly, the [01:47:47] years since my appointment have also been marked by unrelenting levels of public [01:47:51] scrutiny and personal attack. The relentless accusation, speculation and public [01:47:55] commentary have taken a profound sole on me and those who I love. For now, [01:47:58] however, I only asked for understanding, for compassion and for the [01:48:02] space to begin again. He also says that this should not be mistaken for [01:48:06] acceptance the narratives that have surrounded me. Well [01:48:10] come up, we got more front pages including the guardian, academic [01:48:14] resigns and mid-plagerism accusations, even the guardian has turned on in [01:48:17] plus. [01:50:51] Five hosts. five opinions, five fearless [01:50:54] debates, five unfiltered takes on the day's news, five [01:50:58] reasons not to be anywhere else on Saturday night, this [01:51:02] is the Saturday 5ive, you got me, you got me good there, [01:51:05] Britain's biggest Saturday Night TV show, it's not a bad [01:51:08] brand, uncensored, very, very racist tonight on the [01:51:12] unpredictable, what she say, can you translate it for us, and always [01:51:16] entertaining, how can a country go from being led by William [01:51:20] Wallis Saturday? from 6 p.m. [01:51:23] only on GB News, the people's channel, Britain's news [01:51:27] channel, you're going to want to stay tuned, trust [01:51:29] me, [01:51:34] okay, welcome back, let's round off tomorrow's front pages and the times plagerism round professor [01:51:38] resigns from Cambridge, the Guardian academic resigns and misplagesm [01:51:42] accusations, the sun west & [01:51:45] stab rampage, um, and yeah, look, I mean, my my [01:51:49] understanding is that this is still an active case, so we're going to leave that there. but [01:51:52] of course it was the news earlier on the day that um uh four people appear to have been [01:51:56] stabbed uh on the west end earlier today which is uh [01:51:59] devastating of course the daily start um they go [01:52:03] for - it's Kent eastwood which I believe is a [01:52:06] comment about how dry kent is I think it's a bit of [01:52:10] pathetic stretch as all the I'm sorry but [01:52:14] with this stuff all these people posting pictures online going like oh my gosh England [01:52:18] isn't supposed to look like this it's not supposed to be this dry I mean there's a labor counselor. [01:52:23] uh in an area where i live actually who's just posted, oh my gosh, how is westminster [01:52:27] school allowed to water its own pitch when you've got people who, well actually it [01:52:31] turns out that that um apparently westminster school um [01:52:34] actually has its own kind of almost reservoir which [01:52:38] they they they they store themselves, they they they are able to [01:52:41] probably be nationalized then, they're able to manage their own water [01:52:45] intake and then and then use it for their own personal benefit, [01:52:49] but there no one seems to be speaking up and going, well thanks to... rapid [01:52:53] population growth over the last 20 years and us doing absolutely nafor with our [01:52:56] infrastructure, we now can't water our parts? no, and it's [01:53:00] also thanks to the complete ineptitude and crookery the water [01:53:04] boards um who have not built reservoir and [01:53:08] who there's more water lost through leakage than [01:53:11] ever, whatever, so it it comes down to that as well, it [01:53:15] comes down to sheer greed from the water water companies, but again it's [01:53:18] not, it's not all, we wouldn't be looking at these pictures now if [01:53:23] you the climate could we could still have the same temperatures, we could still have the same lack of rainfall, [01:53:27] but if if we were able to water things, if we built enough reservoirs [01:53:30] and we we England would not be [01:53:34] looking like no like the desert, and what why don't they use drones [01:53:38] to see where the leaks are? that's a [01:53:41] good, well it's because I mean I don't want water renationalized [01:53:45] because the you you can often look at failing companies and think, oh my [01:53:49] god, if the government run this country company would obviously better? really [01:53:53] is it because governments make short-term or usually terrible [01:53:57] infrastructure decisions that are total waste of money, but what we've got [01:54:00] wrong is that we haven't got the incentives and the [01:54:04] penalties right for the water company, so you just need to tell them if the leakages are high, [01:54:07] if sewage is slipping in, if you haven't built you're going to be fined, if you build them you get [01:54:11] profits. all right, look, thank you everyone, and we're going to have them all front pages next, there an interesting [01:54:15] story emerging about we're streating, you don't want to see [01:54:18] that. [01:54:24] Today's outlook, cool, calm and completely [01:54:28] horizontal. Boxed Aircon sponsos the weather on GB [01:54:32] News. Hello again, very good evening. Whilst there [01:54:39] is some thundery rain across parts of Scotland at the moment, most of that will clear [01:54:43] through overnight, leaving a fresher, dryer day for many of [01:54:46] us tomorrow. We do still have a frontal system making its way across [01:54:50] Scotland at the moment, and this is bringing further outbreaks of rain, some [01:54:54] could still be heavy and thundery for a little while yet, but through the night [01:54:58] we will see the rain in the north breaking up a little bit and so it will [01:55:02] be turning dryer all the time across southern areas. [01:55:05] it will be dry night with lots of clear sky [01:55:07] and with that temperatures are going to be a little bit lower than they have been through some [01:55:11] recent nights, mid-teens across some southern areas, some places [01:55:15] further north getting into single digits, so we do wake up [01:55:19] tomorrow morning to a bit of cloudy start across central and eastern [01:55:22] parts of Scotland and there will be some rain but not as much rain [01:55:26] as we've seen through recent days and actually western parts of [01:55:29] Scotland having some decent sunshine through the morning, a bit of a shory [01:55:33] mix of sunny spells, burst of rain for northern Island, [01:55:36] cloudier across parts of northern and western England and Wales [01:55:40] and few spots of rain can't be ruled out, but central and eastern parts [01:55:44] will get off to fine sunny start. now some the cloud in the north will feed [01:55:48] a bit further southwards so there will be some cloud at times across southern areas, but there [01:55:51] should break up into the afternoon with increasing amounts of sunshine here and [01:55:55] further north, well apart from the odd spot of rain it is going to be much dryer [01:55:59] than it has been recently, especially by the afternoon, with that though [01:56:03] slight change in our wind direction, means especially in the southeast it's going to feel markedly [01:56:07] fresher than it has done of late, highs of around 22 or 23 [01:56:10] celsius. into Friday and w much the UK will be largely [01:56:14] dry, just few spots of rain here and there. towards the far northwest there's likely to [01:56:18] be some wetter windier weather here, elsewhere, yes, plenty [01:56:22] of dry sunny weather to be had, [01:56:24] and it's staying mostly dry in the south into the weekend, and here temperatures are [01:56:28] set to rise again, good chance we'll get back into the high 20s. [01:56:31] bye bye. today's outlook, cool. [01:56:35] and completely horizontal. boxed airon sponsors [01:56:39] the weather on GB News. well, I'm afraid it's [01:56:43] an absolutely terrible evening for uh Cambridge's [01:56:47] youngest ever black professor who has resigned a massive player isn't [01:56:51] even the guardian of LED there. terrible stuff. so we're talking about [01:56:54] that. um, grooming gang abuses are set for early release from [01:56:58] prison, so there you go.
