[00:07:01] government's anti-extremism scheme prevent in the year to
[00:07:05] September 2025. That's according to new figures published by

[00:07:12] previous 12 months and is the highest number of referrals in a single
[00:07:16] year since data began in 2015, the
[00:07:19] 10,279 referrals where the age the
[00:07:23] individual was known, 11 to 15-year-olds made up the largest
[00:07:27] largest proportion followed by 16 to 17 year
[00:07:30] olds, some 393 referrals were for children
[00:07:34] aged 10 or under.
[00:07:38] England's rivers, lakes and coastal waters remain a challenging
[00:07:42] state. with only around one in seven classed as being a good
[00:07:45] ecological condition, according to the first
[00:07:49] comprehensive assessment their health in six years. datas
[00:07:53] from the environment agency show that while 15% of rivers are classed as
[00:07:57] good, fewer than seven percent of lakes reached that level. no
[00:08:00] single waterway passed separate test for chemical pollution. the
[00:08:04] biggest individual problem is phosphate aate nutrient from sewage
[00:08:08] and farm runoff with around half of rivers still exceeding,

[00:08:19] charged over the death of a 12-year-old boy an alleged hit
[00:08:23] and run more than two years ago. Keatan slater died after he
[00:08:27] was struck by the car and covventry in June of 2024. He
[00:08:31] was pronounced dead at the scene. 23-year-old Dalar Alexanders
[00:08:35] has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after an
[00:08:38] extradition operation involving British and Latvian authorities. He was
[00:08:42] flown to Gatwick airport yesterday, taken into custody, he's appearing in court
[00:08:46] today.
[00:08:49] Now a petition urging Andy Burnham not to release PC
[00:08:52] Andrew Harper's killers has now surpassed 500 thousand.
[00:08:56] On Tuesday, the Prime Minister approved plans to let a number of criminals,
[00:09:00] including those guilty of murder, become eligible for early release just
[00:09:04] halfway through their sentences. Two of those who could be released include
[00:09:08] Albert Bows and Jessie Cole, both of whom were convicted of man slaughter in
[00:09:11] 2020. and Kemy Beydenok is
[00:09:15] facing growing backlash after a former neo-nazi who withdrew
[00:09:19] as a conservative council candidate was offered an advisory role
[00:09:23] within the party. Joshua Bonehill Paine had been selected to stand in
[00:09:27] Sommerset despite previously being jailed for subjecting former labor MP
[00:09:31] Luciana Berger to what a judge called cruel campaign of vile
[00:09:35] racist abuse. He's withdrawn his candidacy saying he needs to show the
[00:09:38] Jewish community how much he regrets his previous actions, but says
[00:09:42] giving him an advisory role is insult and claims it raises serious questions
[00:09:46] about Kemy Beadenock's judgment. Miss Beadenock had defended the decision to
[00:09:50] select him as a new can new candidate for the new
[00:09:53] council Somerset Council, saying he had been
[00:09:57] rehabilitated and her party believes in second

[00:11:54] at the market. It's actually um here we've got a remarkable stand with
[00:11:58] some live bees in
[00:12:01] it um and actually I'm joined by uh Dave Tolman the e-purist here
[00:12:04] Dave um how long have you been running this sort of B
[00:12:08] centered stand yeah we've been around about three years commercial
[00:12:11] now um so it's quite a new venture on the stand itself uh we've
[00:12:15] sold from the farm um we've got a little honesty box which has been really good cuz
[00:12:19] it's reaffirmed our faith and humanity cuz we did think we
[00:12:23] might lose a bit but we haven't. 'everybody's been very honest, which is always
[00:12:27] good, that's fantastic. do you think that's something particular about county durum,
[00:12:31] about the northeast of England, that sort of sense of honesty and community? oh,
[00:12:35] definitely, definitely 100%. um, you know what
[00:12:38] everybody's like, everybody does the best for you, and uh, the support we've had
[00:12:42] from everybody even here on the market, it's been brilliant. now, talk me through
[00:12:46] what products you have here, all made from your own api, I
[00:12:50] suppose, yes, yes, yes, um, we we've got somewhere around about
[00:12:54] 80 to 100'. uh so spread out through the northeast and we don't
[00:12:58] keep all our eggs in one basket as it w the whole maberry
[00:13:01] is just to chestly street so about eight miles up the road there and yeah
[00:13:05] we har we're in the middle the harvest now we're coming towards the end um take the
[00:13:08] honey off and then we produce the products from there so what have we got here we've got
[00:13:12] some we've got some honey some uh pure bees wax
[00:13:16] some honey soap how how long does it take to make all these
[00:13:20] different things uh the the bees wax for us is is really a byproduct when we take the
[00:13:24] honey off we get wax cabins uh which we then refine down to make the
[00:13:28] pure bees wax and people buy that for everything from polished to waterproof
[00:13:32] and claws and uh we've even got an archer comes in to use it for his bow strings to
[00:13:36] keep his bore strings dry so yeah mean it's loads and loads of
[00:13:40] useless again it goes into the lip balms and the
[00:13:43] soaps wax in there and of course the honey as well uh and one of our
[00:13:47] friends from the duramasaw company makes all of those for us um we just
[00:13:51] supply the the raw materials as it were abs absolutely
[00:13:55] fantastic that you can get so many different things out of uh
[00:13:59] out of your your your beehives. I've got to ask can I try some of
[00:14:03] this honey here. now but no
[00:14:06] double dipping of course no double dipping. so what have we got here? we've got a while
[00:14:10] flower honey uh so that is basically taste of country derrum. it's
[00:14:14] all the dandy lions, the blackberries
[00:14:17] um oil seed rape everything that grows in this area
[00:14:20] naturally so you get a really good depth of flavor to it. um i'm not
[00:14:24] a fan monocultures you where you have just one field, but uh, this is a good
[00:14:28] mix or gets a really, really nice flavor. I hadn't thought about that, so depending
[00:14:32] on where the bees pollinates, the honey can taste different depending on the
[00:14:36] flowers that they use, yeah, yeah, it can taste different hive to hive, it
[00:14:39] literally depends um on what those bees have been picking on that
[00:14:43] particular day, so it's quite a diverse product as it
[00:14:46] were, that is very, very tasty runny honey, now there's a
[00:14:50] set honey here, I'm going to use the other end the stick, um, and and and and what's this
[00:14:54] one? basically all honey wants to crystallize as soon as you get
[00:14:57] it out, so what we do is we control the crystallization process um
[00:15:01] so rather than it to turn gritty and grainy where you can really taste the
[00:15:04] crystals that should be lovely and smooth like almost like a caramel rather
[00:15:08] than uh being well quite gritty, the big difference i
[00:15:12] think this one goes best on your porridge, your oats that sort of stuff, this
[00:15:16] one it's a spreadable version really good on hot toast, crumbets that
[00:15:20] sort of thing and it is delicious, i have to say what's what's the difference in making these two
[00:15:24] different? how do you make how are they different? mean if they're made the
[00:15:28] same stuff, how are they so different? we take this one and allow it to
[00:15:32] crystallize, once it's crystalized we then use pestal and
[00:15:36] morter to grind it. uh to get a really, really smooth
[00:15:39] consistency, that's then your seed honey, you
[00:15:42] add about one in 10 ratio, so that goes back
[00:15:46] into this honey, and when that crystallizes it takes on the smaller crystal that
[00:15:50] you've created rather than the larger one right, we we are running out of time, but
[00:15:53] just quickly i'm going to have to try
[00:15:55] this chili infused honey, yeah,
[00:15:59] and what so this is just a sort of runny honey with chili, with chili,
[00:16:03] goes absolutely brilliant on things like crispy belly pork, chicken
[00:16:06] wings good a pizza and uh you've been very brave there that
[00:16:10] might be a little bit warm so well if it is if it is a little bit
[00:16:14] warm let's let's let's find

[00:18:22] hear that some them sort of take a little bit longer doing their answers and ramble on because they
[00:18:26] obviously
[00:18:27] want to get their point of view across and your interviewers turn around basically and
[00:18:31] say enough is enough, let somebody else answer, that's it, that's it, and aberdene
[00:18:35] specifically, what is it you love about aberdene? um, well, I
[00:18:38] grew up here as a child, not that the accent would tell you that, um, I just
[00:18:42] love the city, there's so much to do, and you're really in the

[00:27:58] UK has vowed to crack down on illegal migration, that's during a
[00:28:02] press. conference in Westminster earlier today, pledging to
[00:28:05] jail company bosses who use or employ migrant labor. Let's
[00:28:09] have to listen to what ZAO have had to say. We will introduce the toughest
[00:28:13] penalties in the world for those who employ and profit from
[00:28:17] illegal migrants. We'll restore order to our high street,
[00:28:21] protect the integrity of our border and return fairness to the

[00:28:29] workers. Sounds like it makes. sense,

[00:28:49] you said today what he had to say, the it's called the delivero law. other delivery
[00:28:53] companies are available obviously. um, let's come to you first, what do you
[00:28:57] make of what you heard ZF say today? is it going to
[00:28:59] help? hi, I mean firstly, I
[00:29:03] mean i think it is usually funny or strange to see so many of us myself
[00:29:07] included media politis other jumping anything reform
[00:29:10] says, I mean once you can say they have about one% of seats in
[00:29:14] parliament and I mean as far as I know is never
[00:29:18] even fought an election ever you know leave
[00:29:21] alone win one he's just a shadow home secretary title he gave
[00:29:25] himself but having said that I mean obviously coming to the the
[00:29:29] the content the policy and most of what he saying already have, we can
[00:29:33] already jail employers and that has already happened, the
[00:29:37] fines we already can impose maximum of 60,00 pounds, so for vast
[00:29:41] majority of businesses, that is more than 10%
[00:29:44] their annual turnover or the annual revenue as he's
[00:29:48] saying, so I mean I'm not sure what changes is basically going to make unless
[00:29:51] obviously in you reform reform leaders worlds every
[00:29:55] small business, every business makes millions of pounds and therefore they think 60
[00:29:59] thousand isn't much of deterrant, but we have all these year. and
[00:30:03] not just we have these on the books, but this is actually happening, we've seen bosses go to
[00:30:07] jail, and we have seen huge fines being
[00:30:10] imposed on very, very small businesses, and what, one thing
[00:30:14] that might make difference, unless the you know obviously the plan, unless the
[00:30:18] plan is we generally just want to see turkish barbers or
[00:30:22] Asian corner shop owners locked up, if the whole point is
[00:30:25] want to stop this, then yes, then we want you to be deterrant, and for
[00:30:29] that yes, why doesn't why don't they go after the uber or... deliveru companies
[00:30:33] then fine, I mean, then I might think, yes, it's making a difference, fine, you know,
[00:30:37] once I see some, the Uber directors jailed for what
[00:30:41] we know is happening with the delivery drivers, then yes, it might be making a difference,
[00:30:45] but other than that, I mean, I don't see what difference is going to
[00:30:49] make. Okay, uh, Jack, what did you make of it? Well, I think
[00:30:52] it's exactly what we needed uh, quite frankly. I think
[00:30:56] you, you, you just said that quite right there, shab is that, we
[00:31:00] do actually need to throw ' people in jail who
[00:31:04] are basically have their entire company operating
[00:31:08] a system uh of hiring illegal workers like uber eats
[00:31:11] like deliverou if they continue uh allow
[00:31:15] them to exist on their platform and allow them to
[00:31:18] therefore uh gain money to live and operate and
[00:31:22] function in Britain, but it's actually just more
[00:31:25] than um more than uh the headline here, what they're also doing,
[00:31:29] they're going further into the uh illegal
[00:31:33] migrant economy uh, for example with the vape shop
[00:31:37] uh license restrictions that they've also announced along
[00:31:40] with this, we've seen basically cash businesses uh flourish
[00:31:44] ' since the pandemic and actually you know pubs have closed, restaurants have
[00:31:48] closed, um, you actual real uh small and medium enterprises have
[00:31:52] been really suffering in Britain, while our high streets are being
[00:31:56] flooded with vape shops, candy shops, all
[00:31:58] the like um where there's obviously allegations uh of
[00:32:01] obviously
[00:32:02] you know not just hiring illegal workers but money laundering links back to
[00:32:06] organized crime so I think this is the real point of this is
[00:32:10] that yes you know we obviously have to control the border and obviously reform have
[00:32:14] announced a plan to do with operation fortress, but we have to
[00:32:17] to to paraphrase the famous phrase here, not just be tough on
[00:32:21] the cause on on on not to be tough on the not to be tough on illegal
[00:32:25] migration, but tough on the causes of illegal migration, obviously having a
[00:32:28] big um cash economy where illegal migrats can work is huge pull
[00:32:32] factor. okay, sh, we do have over million young people in
[00:32:36] this country who aren't working, they're not in education, they're not in training, so
[00:32:40] surely if we free up some these jobs we could gamefully employ those young
[00:32:44] people and... them some sense of purpose in in life as well rather
[00:32:48] than having in many cases illegal migrants doing them.
[00:32:52] yeah, no, but I mean, do you honestly think would you know any or have you ever heard of
[00:32:55] any, you know, young people in Britain so desperate to be delivery
[00:32:59] drivers, but they just can't because delivery insist on
[00:33:02] recruiting or hiring foreign workers. I just don't think that makes any sense any
[00:33:06] level for any reason. do you think that's general genuinely uber reachs
[00:33:10] deliveroot? that's what they do, white people go to them and they say, look, we're desperate for a
[00:33:14] job, please. can we, i've got a scooter, can i please become a delivered? and
[00:33:18] they say, no, we want illegal migrants only, oh, you've got to brush the passport, we don't want
[00:33:22] you, of course that's not what's happening, and mean i just don't understand
[00:33:26] what we say, obviously, on the one hand we say this, then obviously we saw the scandal
[00:33:29] yesterday about you, why are all these non-white doctors and nurses and medics
[00:33:33] in hospitals? so the point is, if there are white doctors out there, then do we think
[00:33:37] genuinely you apply to the NHS, and the NHS is no, we don't want bike
[00:33:41] doctors, we'd rather go for an Asian or an African. we we are
[00:33:45] running out of time, just just very quickly show, just I get the impression you think there's some kind of
[00:33:49] racist element to that, is that what you seem to be saying with lot of this? you
[00:33:53] mentioned Asian corner, corner shops and sort of like migrant
[00:33:57] doctors, of course there is, because that's what they keep saying,
[00:34:00] that they're not talking just about employees, what they keep saying is turkish barbers and
[00:34:04] v, and we know what you mean by that, everyone understands, why can't
[00:34:08] you just say any money laundering front, why do you have to do what
[00:34:12] turkish barbers, we know what they're saying, so of course it's racist. and that's my point that
[00:34:15] obviously if we had seen white bosses or white company directors, any
[00:34:19] white company directors not in sorry we we are
[00:34:23] running out of time, i could talk
[00:34:24] to you both all day, it's fascinating, just just quickly final response jack, mean is there an element
[00:34:28] of racism in this policy? no, it's absolutely not, it's just the fact
[00:34:32] that the obvious money laundering we see on the streets is in turkish barbers where there's
[00:34:36] i think there was a case where a village where they had like tiny little village where there are 10
[00:34:40] turkish barber shops obviously all in one go you this is not an element of
[00:34:44] racism just like, this is where we are seeing the obvious
[00:34:47] criminality on our streets. the thing the doctors is like you do realize
[00:34:51] that people who are trained in this country actually can't the government says no
[00:34:55] we can't give you a job because they're not enough spaces and they all the higher people from
[00:34:59] overseas so actually you're exactly wrong on that. there is no element of racism here,
[00:35:03] it's just like this is the criminality the british people see every day on our
[00:35:06] streets and we should be cracking down on that rather than imagine things that you're

[01:04:05] Yousuff says reform UK pledges to hold bosses of companies who are
[01:04:09] found to be using illegal migrant workers personally
[01:04:12] liable, he said young British people are being shut out of entry level jobs
[01:04:16] and our whole economy is being undermined. Reform UK vows
[01:04:20] to fine firms 10% their global revenues and jail bosses who
[01:04:24] employ people without the right to work. However, the government says it's done the
[01:04:28] biggest crackdown on illegal work. that our country has ever seen with
[01:04:32] a 77% increase in raids. over million young
[01:04:35] brits are now out of work and education. the
[01:04:39] tories and labor made Britain one the softest
[01:04:43] touch countries on earth for illegal workers.
[01:04:47] they created ecosystem in which illegal migrants are funneled
[01:04:51] directly into our national economy, driving down wages and
[01:04:55] funding the despicable people smuggling gangs. under this legislation,
[01:04:59] company direct. will be held personally and criminally liable for
[01:05:03] systemic, illegal working within their businesses, regardless of whether they

[01:13:31] incredible city of Aberdine, the granite city up here in
[01:13:35] Scotland, I've got all these amazing people with me, look at this, round of applause for all

[01:13:42] here getting real voices of people from up and down the country, but
[01:13:46] particularly here in Scotland, and I'm also here joined by Harrick Cross, MP, Harriot, thanks so much
[01:13:50] for joining us, good to see you too, now look, of course we're going to be talking
[01:13:54] lot about oil'. gas in the future, aren't we? and a big part of what makes this
[01:13:57] city so incredible is oil and gas. tell us what's been going on up here
[01:14:01] recently? it's oil and gas, but it's also the people involved in the oil and gas sector and
[01:14:05] the businesses. the skills and innovation that we have in this part the country are
[01:14:09] incredible, and what is being done to it now by the labour government and their
[01:14:13] policies is completely shocking. banning new licenses, increasing and
[01:14:17] extending the energy profits levy has meant that this industry has sat so
[01:14:20] much crisis in their confidence that we are seeing investment going abroad and jobs be...
[01:14:25] lost and skills being lost and the government seem to be sitting on their hands and doing nothing about
[01:14:28] it. well, Andy Burnham's signaling that he's going to be opening up
[01:14:32] at least some more licenses, perhaps is this moving in the right direction, is it going far
[01:14:36] enough? well, he's talking about Jack Dor and Roosebank, these are two fields which
[01:14:40] were actually permitted two years ago, and then the government pulled their
[01:14:44] support, the labour government, and they've been sitting on them ever since, so if
[01:14:47] they do permit them, obviously it'd be great for the sector, but it just brings us back two years to where
[01:14:51] we were previously, and it doesn't have to stop there, and it must not stop there,
[01:14:55] they must allow more new licenses, they must
[01:14:58] as I say, remove the huge tax which is driving away investment and jobs and actually
[01:15:02] support this industry which is so crucial to the UK's energy security.
[01:15:06] why are we importing more and more? why are we importing from Norway who are taking it from the same
[01:15:10] sea when we could be using our own? it makes no sense at all, we all here no it makes no
[01:15:14] sense at all, but the government seem to be sticking by that line. interesting remarks from
[01:15:18] the green party leader zack Palansky the other day, he uh, he thinks that we should
[01:15:22] perhaps have a windful tax on energy companies. perhaps people like BP
[01:15:26] who are now leaving of course um Aberdeen and oil and gas in in
[01:15:29] perhaps in the North Sea, um what do you make of those comments? should be having a windful tax to pay for
[01:15:33] climate reparations in some way? well the green party will tax anything but
[01:15:37] moves, I mean they will tax anything which they see
[01:15:40] aspirational and that's what the that that is their playbook, so him wanting
[01:15:44] to tax some more doesn't surprise me, but it's so short sighted, what we
[01:15:48] are doing by taxing the UK's oil and gas sector is meaning that
[01:15:52] it is driving down, it's driving down, investment is going, which means we will import
[01:15:56] more, imports have about four times the carbon emissions as
[01:16:00] the oil and gas that we can produce here, so the green party leader wants us
[01:16:03] to import more carbon-intensive oil and gas, that doesn't sound
[01:16:07] very green to me if that is actually what he wants to do, and
[01:16:11] also just because we produce less doesn't mean we use less, the oil and gas
[01:16:15] companies are producing what we need, we've got 24 million homes in the
[01:16:19] UK reliant on gas still, who knows how many
[01:16:23] cars, 75% of , energy is oil and gas, yet they want to turn off
[01:16:27] the taps, make that makes sense, because it doesn't to me. the governments say that we need
[01:16:31] to drive net zero, that we need to become renewable country, that we need to rely less
[01:16:35] and less on unreliable oil prices as what they've argued many
[01:16:38] times, do we need to transition to renewable energy
[01:16:41] quicker? what we need to do is make sure we have secure energy
[01:16:45] base, secure energy system. as i just said huge amount of our energy
[01:16:49] still comes from oil and gas, the government are fixated on electricity, which
[01:16:53] is just 20% of our... energy and that electricity has now been
[01:16:57] basically driving our energy policy, but when the wind doesn't
[01:17:00] blow or the sun doesn't shine, where they getting their energy from, it's just going to make
[01:17:04] us more and more reliant on imports, so we need a whole load of
[01:17:08] energy, we need abundance of energy, that's what Clier Coutinho, our energy our shadow
[01:17:12] energy secretary keeps saying, abundant energy, cheap energy, that
[01:17:16] should be driving our energy policy, there's a place for renewables in that, but there's a
[01:17:19] massive place for oil and gas in that, and particularly in this neck the woods where so many
[01:17:23] people rely on the sector, "we want oil and gas to be supported, to kick
[01:17:27] forward and be such an important part of our energy going forward, which it can be if the
[01:17:31] government just actually release their sanctions, release the tax and let
[01:17:34] the industry thrive, and before I throw, yeah, there we go, round of
[01:17:38] applause, before I throw it back to dawn, what's the one thing you love about
[01:17:41] Britain, about Britain, oh, I mean it's communities like this, I mean, I'm so lucky
[01:17:45] to represent Gordon and Bucken, it's an amazing rural community, we've got
[01:17:49] farmers, we've got fishermen, we've got, I say oil and gas workers, so many people
[01:17:53] just contributing to all our different industry." and also happy to come here a day like

[01:18:34] money um, but the government would say that they... doing the
[01:18:38] right thing already? well they would um
[01:18:40] and there's a reason for that that the that we really got to move
[01:18:44] towards renewables, we need to follow say France as
[01:18:48] example when it comes to nuclear power, french electricity bills are
[01:18:52] 32% lower than ours, so and they rely on nuclear, there
[01:18:56] was a time when Britain had more nuclear power stations
[01:19:00] than the rest the world put together, we've lost them over the years, so the idea
[01:19:04] is to move towards renewables, harriot understandably. is
[01:19:07] protecting her area, the industry there is oil. Aberdin was very much
[01:19:11] built on that. Um, but
[01:19:14] we we've got to look look to the future, what it comes down to whether or not we give new
[01:19:18] licenses there, Jack Dor and Rose Bank fields are still to be
[01:19:22] decided, but they have licenses. Labor committed not to
[01:19:26] have to issue any new licenses for oil fields after
[01:19:29] that. Um, I think that was the that the right decision, the
[01:19:33] fields are are much smaller, they're more expensive to drill, the North Sea has
[01:19:36] been. dry by about 90% of its oil, okay, neigel for

[01:19:48] issue, so many jobs depend on what happens going forward with those

[01:27:50] but this one - would it kill the party though? could the traditional
[01:27:54] standing pint soon become the thing the f? you're propping up the bar, you got your
[01:27:58] p in your hand. well, westminster council wants pubs in soho and the
[01:28:02] west ends to discourage what's known as vertical drinking by
[01:28:05] literally nobody by the way, it's called standing at the bar, by encouraging
[01:28:09] more seating and replacing bar service with table service. london
[01:28:13] major saddiq khan has criticized the plans as restrictive and
[01:28:17] anti-growth. oh god, i'm agreeing with siddiq. on warning they could
[01:28:21] damage one the capital's most famous nightlife districts. i can't
[01:28:25] get my head around this one, so let's speak to the CEO the nighttime industries
[01:28:29] Association, Michael Kill. Michael, really good to see you. "one
[01:28:32] the best jobs I ever had was working a bar, one the best parts of that was
[01:28:36] chatting to people over the bar, serving the pints, I mean it's part the
[01:28:40] pub, what on earth is going on
[01:28:42] here, it's a ludicrous policy. I mean, the
[01:28:46] reality is is this is part the draft statement of licensing policy, which ends
[01:28:50] in terms of consultation on the 9th of August, but the
[01:28:53] sentiment around this breaks the tradition of hundreds and
[01:28:57] hundreds of years the way pobs are structured, so it's just
[01:29:01] surreal that we're look." at risking that, the character the
[01:29:05] pub,
[01:29:05] you know, that transient nature of being able to move around and socialize and
[01:29:09] drop into different social groups is is really where the pub really
[01:29:13] thrives, so it's a real concern that this is even a
[01:29:16] small sentiment part of narrative that is going to be projected in
[01:29:20] licensing, and it has no place in that licensing policy as far as I'm
[01:29:24] concerned, but what is the thinking behind it?
[01:29:27] well, I think look, our industry has been subject to risk for
[01:29:31] many years. "you know, and and what we are talking about here is an
[01:29:35] overreach, something that's onorous, that's changing the way that
[01:29:39] we socialize or dictating the way that we socialize, it's
[01:29:43] almost anti-fun, it's anti-social and it's definitely
[01:29:46] anti-gowth, and and that's where the concern that we have is, and Saddiq
[01:29:50] is absolutely right, Sasha Lord, in Manchester, our chair
[01:29:54] also highlighted this, and many others have sort of stood up and gone,
[01:29:58] enough, this is an overreach, licensing, safety is key,
[01:30:02] but we..." also have to balance that with allowing people to enjoy themselves, socialize and
[01:30:05] enjoy culture. i mean, michael, the full confession here, i'm quite
[01:30:09] experienced at going to pubs and as
[01:30:11] i said, did used to work in them. i've managed to go to pubs
[01:30:14] and get to my advanced age without any major instance happening, it's
[01:30:18] not really dangerous to walk around a pub and have a chat to other people, is
[01:30:22] it? no, it's not, and and there are some amazing
[01:30:26] operators out there, and and
[01:30:27] you know this again identifies risk, westminster is traditionally
[01:30:31] quite - in terms the controls of its license space,
[01:30:35] and we saw this a strategy that they put out some
[01:30:39] time ago, talking about quiet spaces in Soho, and we
[01:30:43] have this real concern that we're moving towards this sanitization the west
[01:30:47] end and so, which is vitally important in terms of a global
[01:30:51] space that people want to come and experience, and that sort of sex positive
[01:30:55] environment, that really sort of vibrant, diverse
[01:30:58] institution that is this region, with this current
[01:31:02] rate. machine could be really sort of pressed into being
[01:31:05] something it never has been, so we're pushing back very hard
[01:31:09] uh, the mayor quite rightly is pushing back quite hard, so for us we're going
[01:31:13] to make a stand on this, and
[01:31:15] you know standing up against this, as the connotation
[01:31:18] suggests, it's so vitally important that we fight to make sure that
[01:31:22] people can stand a pub, can stand by the bar and they can socialize
[01:31:26] and move about in the way that they want to, not the way local
[01:31:30] authority dictates, okay, michael? I'm so with you on this one, good
[01:31:34] luck with fighting this, that is - CEO the nighttime
[01:31:37] Industries Association, Michael Kill there talking about standing in
[01:31:41] pub, I mean, okay, Nigel Nelson is still in the studio
[01:31:45] with me, Nigel, this is the fun please, what is it the authority
[01:31:49] has with the hospitality industry these days, in this case I don't know, and
[01:31:53] Sadiq Khan is is taking new power, I never thought I'm going to go lie down, I agree
[01:31:57] with so he can actually overrule this, I think the
[01:32:00] situation is pubs are changing. um that now where where they
[01:32:04] used to be drinking dens, you actually
[01:32:06] have fine dining attached
[01:32:08] to lot them, which is fine, and when it comes to Westminster, I work in
[01:32:11] Westminster, I work in parliament, so I know the pubs around the around the
[01:32:15] area, what you can do there is you can stand at the bar or you can find a
[01:32:19] table, the idea of having enough seating for people to have, I think is
[01:32:23] reasonable, badning people from standing at the bar is where
[01:32:27] you cross the line, that becomes unreasonable, we stop banning
[01:32:30] things in this country, it's like... really is the fun please
[01:32:34] sucking the fun out there something about about politicians here who keep wanted to
[01:32:38] ban things i've been doing it for ages but it is this constant idea we
[01:32:42] bann this band that best to leave things alone politicians are best best
[01:32:46] employed doing as little as possible okay Nigel thank you so much we did

[01:40:02] that - is concerning lot of you, I know, because it it affects many
[01:40:06] of us. New reports show weight loss jabs like Manjaro and
[01:40:09] Wegervy have now been linked to at least 216 deaths in the
[01:40:13] UK. A government figures also show a startling rise
[01:40:17] in deaths with annual jab fatalities leaping by
[01:40:20] 300% between 2024 and
[01:40:23] 2025. Drug manufacturers Novo North. disc
[01:40:27] who make wuggavy ozempic and sexender say like all
[01:40:31] medicines treatmentts used for chronic conditions can have side effects and
[01:40:35] these can vary from person to person so let's find out exactly what is going
[01:40:39] on with the story and let's talk to a director at all about obesity
[01:40:43] sarah lebrock uh Sarah thank you for joining us today good to see you um
[01:40:47] sarah the headline sounds quite scary but considering how many
[01:40:51] brits are actually on these weight loss jabs it is quite a small number so what
[01:40:55] is going on here yeah 'yeah,
[01:40:58] so we know there's around about two and a half million people accessing these medications privately in
[01:41:02] the private market and then there's a few hundred thousand through the NHS. I
[01:41:05] think what's happening here is that because these medications are being bought
[01:41:09] primarily privately, people are not getting the care needed
[01:41:13] to support them whilst taking the medications, so they literally been given a
[01:41:17] prescription only medicine because that's what these are and then kind of been left to
[01:41:20] fend for themselves with regards to their kind of aftercare and all the things that need
[01:41:24] to you to support being on the medication. So some ways this
[01:41:28] is, I think this story highlights how much we need to change what we're doing when we
[01:41:32] with regards to how we support people on these medications, so it's not about the medication
[01:41:35] suddenly being dangerous, but what is dangerous is not supporting
[01:41:39] people whilst they're on the medications with the medical support that they need, and and
[01:41:43] what what I mean by that is just getting people to ensure they're drinking lots of
[01:41:47] water, to make sure they're eating the the right things, getting the right
[01:41:50] nutrition into their body, if they are feeling a bit funny like making sure they go and
[01:41:54] speak to doctor and getting advice on it and not just kind of... or struggling with
[01:41:58] it, so it's it's about just making sure people have access to care, and I think that's the bit that's
[01:42:02] missing right now, and and Sarah, although it's meant to
[01:42:06] be difficult to get them privately off the internet, um,
[01:42:10] it is still ridiculously simple, you can just tick few boxes
[01:42:13] answering some medical questions, and provided you can afford it, you can
[01:42:17] access them that way, and obviously people can just lie on these medical
[01:42:20] forms, yeah, this, this has always been my concern with these
[01:42:24] medications is the fact that
[01:42:26] that the fact we can access them pr. privately, because I think if you think about any other
[01:42:30] chronic long-term condition, you can't buy
[01:42:31] your astm inhalers online if you want them, or you can't get your insulin online if you
[01:42:35] want them, so why can we access these medications privately online? And I
[01:42:39] think the problem is is because the NHS are not able to provide
[01:42:43] the care or the the capacity that people need for these
[01:42:47] medications, so they're seeing the commercial side of things the private market as
[01:42:51] well. I am really pushing back on we need more access
[01:42:54] to the NHS so that we get the care needed for it because your... like you, you can get these
[01:42:58] from salons, dentists, all sort of people sorts of
[01:43:02] people, and that is really concerning, because people do need access to support
[01:43:06] with these medications and they're not getting it when they're just buying it from someone they know down
[01:43:10] the pub for instance, or or even getting it from clinic or some that sends it to you
[01:43:14] in the post, but that's all you get, you don't get any support alongside it, and and I
[01:43:18] think we need to this, this should be a shakeup the process and to
[01:43:22] say, actually we need to be doing better with managing care for people on these
[01:43:25] medications, yes and and obviously Sarah for many people with
[01:43:29] obesity and type two diabetes and things like they have been a gods and they
[01:43:33] have helped so many people, but as you say it's the medical
[01:43:36] guidance and and learning new thought processes about your
[01:43:40] diet and exercise etc. that is so important.
[01:43:44] yeah, 100%. so these medications are game changers, I'm a huge advocate them, I've
[01:43:48] been on them myself because I live with obesity, and they really are improving the lives
[01:43:52] and health of people living with obesity, worldwide, but yeah, the bit that we're
[01:43:55] not,
[01:43:56] and I don't think people are fully... understanding is if you're only consuming say around a
[01:44:00] thousand calories a day because that's all you can consume because
[01:44:02] you don't feel hungry and um on these medications, you need to make sure you're getting all the
[01:44:06] nutrients and all the kind of things that you need to fuel your... body properly
[01:44:10] so that you've got your energy and your kind of your protein and all these different bits and pieces and I don't
[01:44:14] think people are understanding that enough. water is so
[01:44:17] important so you know I've spent my whole life people telling me I need to drink more water
[01:44:21] and I'm pretty rubbish at it but actually you do need it because you need to flush your body
[01:44:25] and you need to make sure you're kind of really looking after yourself so there's some simple
[01:44:29] things that everybody should be doing to just make sure they're kind of being the best
[01:44:33] versions themselves and the healthiest versions on these medications and then
[01:44:36] there are other side effects around the kind of GI side effects that people are... having and
[01:44:40] they are known
[01:44:41] side effects, but and for some people these are worse than others, so again it's kind of if you're
[01:44:44] struggling really badly
[01:44:46] with g side effects, let's kind of i would take pause, I would get some support for that and see
[01:44:50] if one the other medications might be better, because they are slightly different and they work
[01:44:54] in slightly different ways, so it
[01:44:55] is just about managing it and making sure that you have access to care, that's a bit
[01:44:59] right now we don't, indeed, absolutely, yeah, thank you, very sound

[01:55:15] England, could see a shower across some areas of northwest England
[01:55:19] throughout this afternoon, but I think for most of us it's going to be dry day, quite a bit
[01:55:23] of cloud around, but still some sunshine across the south coast in
[01:55:27] particular, here temperatures climbing towards the low 20s, but
[01:55:31] for most of us temperatures will actually be below average for the time of years."

[01:55:42] though, showery rain will start to push in across the highlands and western irs.

[02:04:24] says reform UK pledges to hold bosses of companies who are
[02:04:28] found to be using illegal migrant workers personally liable,
[02:04:32] he said young British people are being shut out of entry level jobs and
[02:04:36] our whole economy is being undermined. Reform UK vows to
[02:04:39] fine firms 10% their global revenues and jail bosses who
[02:04:43] employ people without the right to work. However, the government says it's done.
[02:04:47] biggest crackdown on illegal working that our country has ever
[02:04:51] seen, with a 77% increase in raids. Waze
[02:04:54] YouTuf spoke
[02:04:56] in Central London today. Over million young brits are now.
[02:05:00] of work and education, the tories and
[02:05:03] labor made Britain one the softest touch countries on
[02:05:07] earth for illegal workers. They created

[02:05:22] company directors will be held personally and criminally liable for

[02:05:33] woman has been charged following a stabbing in covered garden in which four men were
[02:05:37] injured. Cella Golovina was charged today with four counts of wounding with
[02:05:41] intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of possession of an
[02:05:44] offensive weapon a public place.
[02:05:48] Elsewhere, Janny Infantino has apologized for errors he made in
[02:05:52] controversial plans to sell off stakes in competitions to private
[02:05:55] investors, but he will remain the FIFA president after receiving the backing of
[02:05:59] senior. executives in a meeting in Morocco. Infantino summoned members
[02:06:03] the management board to FIFA's Africa Office and Rabat following mounting
[02:06:07] criticism of his failed proposals with world's governing body releasing
[02:06:11] a statement of support four hours after the meeting ended. Uafer said at
[02:06:14] the weekend it had lost confidence in him, calling the FIFA forward
[02:06:18] enterprise a proposal, a shabby and backroom opaque
[02:06:22] deal. Elseware university,
[02:06:26] a Cambridge professor at the center the plagerism row has resigned with.

[02:07:30] record 10,293 referrals were made to the
[02:07:34] government's anti-extremism scheme prevent in the year to September last

[02:07:42] up 39% in the previous 12 months and is the highest number of
[02:07:45] referrals in a single year since data began in 2015.
[02:07:49] Of the 10,279 referrals where the age the
[02:07:53] individual was known, 11 to 15-year-olds made up the largest
[02:07:56] proportion, followed by 16 to 17-year-olds. some
[02:08:00] 393 referrals were for children aged 10 or
[02:08:03] under, and an Afghan boxer has been
[02:08:07] charged with killing scottish aidworker Elizabeth Ross in
[02:08:11] Greece. Sheriff Amatse who's 26 has been charged with homicide
[02:08:15] with intent alongside robbery and weapons offenses. The body
[02:08:19] of Elizabeth Ross who was 38 was discovered a suitcase
[02:08:23] by a homeless man a derelic building in Athens on the 18th

[02:10:26] excellent excellent bit of coffee, i'm going to allow you to use my grinder
[02:10:30] and then i'll make you cup of coffee, oh fantastic, fantastic, so what
[02:10:34] is the vietnamese for yours, yeah brilliant, so one of our most popular
[02:10:38] ones, one of your most popular different beans, how and and you said you got 40 different
[02:10:42] beans? over 40, nearly probably 50, yeah, yeah, yeah,
[02:10:46] lot them are local - buric, longly
[02:10:49] park, sakriston, willington, yeah,

[02:11:12] machine yeah okay so so i'll wear the beans
[02:11:16] 18 grams of beans look like it's a not a lot yeah not a
[02:11:20] lot there's a little bit extra there but it will allow for a little bit in
[02:11:24] the uh the machine so we're going to turn it to the
[02:11:27] espresso because there's different ways of making coffee so
[02:11:31] filter coffee cafetier espresso and these are sort of different levels of
[02:11:35] grinding with beans yeah so we're going to go for the finest side yeah
[02:11:39] and my machine takes up there so if you take the little cup yeah
[02:11:42] put it underneath that nozzle there okay and come
[02:11:45] around and you're going to press that button there
[02:11:48] okay grind it into the cup that will grind it
[02:11:52] into the cup so let me press the oh and we can hear that noise
[02:11:56] already going
[02:11:58] to stop grinding i'll tell you okay there we are now
[02:12:02] you turn that off and there we
[02:12:06] go very finely ground there that's a nice fine that'll go into the
[02:12:09] espresso right okay now we come around to the machine
[02:12:13] and ah this is the bit that i've seen happen yeah
[02:12:17] yeah yeah so we're now going to put it into the um the
[02:12:20] cup so it's nice and
[02:12:23] fine and then we
[02:12:26] tamper it down there we are cuz we did a little
[02:12:30] bit extra okay and so this is all sitting tamper it
[02:12:34] down needs to be compressed there there
[02:12:38] we are okay yeah then we're going to put it into the machine
[02:12:41] there's and how do you like your coffee? do you like an
[02:12:45] espresso? do you like a cappuccino? oh
[02:12:49] do you know what, think i'll go for a, i'll go for an espresso today actually, yeah, thank
[02:12:52] you. oh, i love the sort the the
[02:12:56] clunk the machine and the and the sense of industry, oh we can't
[02:13:00] do, you've run
[02:13:02] out of the clearly very popular, i'll i'll have i'll have a flat white instead,

[02:13:28] have lot of milk, it's more the intense
[02:13:31] flavor of your coffee, okay, and and the the
[02:13:35] bean that we selected there, the uh, the colombian bean, it's it's
[02:13:39] quite intense coffee, vietnamese, sorry, 'yeah, it's
[02:13:43] roasted with corko beans and oil and it gives it a really
[02:13:47] intense flavor, so it's a nice smooth coffee, but very high in
[02:13:51] caffeine cuz it's robuster and arabica beans. do you find that
[02:13:55] people generally want a very caffenated coffee?
[02:13:58] absolutely, especially the students around
[02:14:02] exam time, so there we are, so the the flat
[02:14:05] white you would take the milk to there, so you're just getting a little bit the
[02:14:09] milk, but you're going to get a really intense flavor of your'. your
[02:14:13] vietnamese coffee, fantastic, well I'll be buzzing for the rest the
[02:14:16] day on this, here we go, oh it's very

[02:27:27] show is flying path. now the main breaking news story the day is
[02:27:30] that Reform UK has vowed to crack down on illegal
[02:27:34] migration during a press conference in Westminster earlier.
[02:27:38] They pledge to jail company bosses who use or employ migrant
[02:27:42] labor. Let's have listen to what they had to say. We will introduce the toughest
[02:27:46] penalties in the world for those who employ and profit. from
[02:27:50] illegal migrants, will restore order to our high street,
[02:27:54] protect the integrity of our border and return fairness to the
[02:27:58] British economy. We will stand up for British
[02:28:01] workers. But health secretary Evet
[02:28:05] Cooper says the government has tough measures in place already. Here's what she
[02:28:09] had to say. Well, this government has done the biggest
[02:28:12] crackdown on illegal working that our country has ever
[02:28:16] seen, with a 77% increase.
[02:28:20] in raids, 17,000 businesses have
[02:28:24] seen raids for illegal working, massive crackdown in
[02:28:28] terms the courts and also more than 50%
[02:28:31] increase in people who have been illegally working also being deported and
[02:28:35] returned as well, we take this really seriously and that's
[02:28:39] why we've had this major crackdown that is delivering
[02:28:42] results. okay, it's so lot of
[02:28:45] debate around this one, so let's talk now to political commentator and act...
[02:28:50] Iman aten, Iman, good to see you, thank you so much for joining us,
[02:28:53] Iman, what did you make of what zisep had to say this
[02:28:57] morning? Well, um, I think we
[02:29:00] already have the appropriate laws in place that punish employers and
[02:29:04] organizations, and so they basically repeating or trying to, I don't
[02:29:08] know, I would say utilize the fact that many people don't necessarily do
[02:29:12] their research and level of ignorance and to get away with
[02:29:16] repeating what labor have currently done, so I actually agree with.
[02:29:20] secretary of labor right now, um, labor have currently decided they are going
[02:29:24] to strengthen the current laws that we have, um, or they have decided to
[02:29:28] adopt new approach which leads with emphasis and um a bit more
[02:29:32] enforcement, so as an example, just to reverter refer to
[02:29:35] Z.usuf, he said that or he stated that he would
[02:29:38] introduce up to 10% fines um of a
[02:29:41] company, um, a company's revenue, so not profits, and
[02:29:45] oh, global revenue, global
[02:29:48] revenue, okay? um and the issue with that is
[02:29:52] many reasons, obviously in terms the fact that it's naturally going to lead
[02:29:56] with companies potentially leaving as result of not being able to
[02:30:00] pay said fines, and two, it kind of flies in the face
[02:30:03] of reforms current pro business themes such
[02:30:07] as empowering businesses and ensuring investment and so I
[02:30:11] think it's incredibly contradictory, but most importantly I just emphasize one thing which
[02:30:15] I think is really important, the current law that we have is the immigration, asylum,
[02:30:19] nationality. act of 2006 and where Zier
[02:30:23] Yusuf has failed in terms of his proposal is it doesn't cover any nuance,
[02:30:27] whereas the current laws via labor and I will say tories, it
[02:30:31] does, so the current law in section 15 covers
[02:30:34] whether an organization failed um to do
[02:30:38] that due diligence, and then section 25 covers
[02:30:42] whether you deliberately decided to hire an illegal worker, so m to
[02:30:46] tell
[02:30:46] is it's very contradictory in terms their own themes and currently doing right
[02:30:50] now, in other words, reptifying the very issues that everyone has a problem with.
[02:30:54] okay, in man, just, I mean, obviously, yes, these laws are
[02:30:58] technically in place, but in August it emerg that Delivery and
[02:31:02] just... delivery accounts were being offered to migrants within 10 minutes of asking through
[02:31:06] social media groups and migrants are paying as little as £40 pound a week for other
[02:31:10] people's login so even though the laws might be enforced it's
[02:31:13] not actually working at the moment so maybe reform's
[02:31:17] message is that we are going to clamp down we are going to make sure that nobody slips through these
[02:31:21] gaps but that's what labour is currently
[02:31:25] doing so they've decided they are going to they've extended their
[02:31:28] work um right to work checks and they've ensured that
[02:31:32] they have their um whistleblower roots, so that was actually
[02:31:36] something that ziah proposed that they would have a call line
[02:31:40] for, i think
[02:31:41] it was turkish barbers, right? um, we already have these things in place, and like I
[02:31:44] said, originally, labor currently, you just have to give them time in all
[02:31:48] fairness, they are currently trying to um strengthen those
[02:31:52] laws,
[02:31:53] they are making sure that there aren't any loop holes that you can get around, they are trying to ensure
[02:31:57] that they have enough enforcement officers to go along to these
[02:32:00] workplaces and um, do the investigations needed,
[02:32:04] make sure that there are arrests. I mean, we already have 60 thousand fine, a
[02:32:08] 60,00 pound fine, um, if you fell your due diligence
[02:32:12] as an organization, we already have an unlimited fine, an unlimited
[02:32:16] fine and imprisonment, five years under the current laws, so I just
[02:32:20] think I think it's about holding to the fact that labor are currently doing the work,
[02:32:24] and it's only impatient and ignor, impatience and ignorance that prevents people from
[02:32:28] seeing so that makes any sense. Iman, thank you so much for joining us with your

[02:39:56] immigration law and amand's comments it's like well yes those
[02:40:00] laws may be in place but they are quite clearly not
[02:40:03] working and I think that's a very valid point I mean Nigel
[02:40:07] Nelson is still sitting with me in the studio and Nigel Iman made the
[02:40:11] point that many people are making that yes the laws are...
[02:40:15] place what reform has said isn't exactly new, but maybe reform are
[02:40:19] going to enforce those laws a bit more than the current government and the previous
[02:40:22] government, a sense assuming that reform actually do
[02:40:26] form a government, they will inherit the same problems as the government we've
[02:40:30] got at the moment, and I think that the um, what everyone
[02:40:34] is ignoring is is the some the progress that has been made, so
[02:40:38] legal crossings um across the channel so far this here,
[02:40:42] 43% down, that is actually... uh that is a bit
[02:40:46] of a wind, then we then we we we have um uh
[02:40:50] doubling the number of national crime agents
[02:40:52] agency um uh coppers
[02:40:56] who are who are catching the catching the smuggling gangs 300 more arrests
[02:41:00] last year than the previous year and so it goes on so we are doing
[02:41:04] something about it the problem really is that it's so
[02:41:07] visible you see people crossing the channel um they started
[02:41:11] crossing the channel back in sort of 2018 'up until then they
[02:41:15] were coming in the back of
[02:41:17] laures and we succeeded in stopping them coming on the back of lauris, but of course you
[02:41:21] never saw them it is interesting that the lauried stopped,
[02:41:25] mean we seemed to sort
[02:41:26] that problem out
[02:41:27] but then 'the boats obviously took over and interesting when you say sort of like
[02:41:30] 42% down, but what people don't mention when they use that figure is that
[02:41:34] migration into France is also roughly 40% down as
[02:41:38] well, so one the reasons why the boats are not so many coming across the
[02:41:42] channel is you say 42% down is because there's less them getting into France
[02:41:46] because france have to be fair toughend up yeah and and france have got a
[02:41:50] problem I mean in fact the rest of Europe has a bigger problem than we
[02:41:54] do with with migrants and yes you're right france has ' has
[02:41:58] has done that, they've also actually helped us, and again we're ignoring some
[02:42:02] the things that the French have done, um, they probably stopped about
[02:42:05] 40,000 crossings themselves thanks to police
[02:42:09] action, now it may be those same people then then tried again,
[02:42:13] well indeed, this is an endless debate that we are having on the GB News and
[02:42:17] hopefully someone at some point will do something about it, and because I think we are now

[02:54:44] into parts the northwest through the rest the day. elsewhere though, it will remain
[02:54:48] dry, though remaining fairly cool, much cooler than it has been
[02:54:51] lately that. thanks to ridge of high pressure and northerly
[02:54:55] winds wrapping around this ridge, pushing in from the north
[02:54:59] and east, that does mean there has been a bit of a breeze across eastern coast that should
[02:55:03] ease through the rest the day and overnight
[02:55:06] and clear skies will likely develop across much of England and Wales, some
[02:55:10] eastern areas of Scotland too as well as northern Island,
[02:55:13] further north and west though cloudier and wetter skies move in, the
[02:55:17] winds will increase here to near Galeforce as well, so under the clear skies
[02:55:21] temperatures will fall... way rurally down into the low single
[02:55:25] figures, so it's like to be fairly fresh start to the day across more
[02:55:28] southern areas, but across the north it's going to be much weatter day, the far
[02:55:32] north and west of Scotland, the highlands and western irs seeing the
[02:55:36] worst of any rain and those strong gusty winds as
[02:55:40] well into the morning, dry for northern island, plenty of sunshine as well as
[02:55:43] southern Scotland and elsewhere across the UK, you'll see there's a few
[02:55:47] showers here and there, but I think most of us are going to see dry, dry
[02:55:51] start to the day. There'll be more in the way of sunshine to come throughout
