Well, a blistering comment peach from the Sunday telegraph editor and tonight's [00:01:43] guest [00:01:44] Heath the sparked huge row [00:01:47] of the rumored Reform Restore Alliance. He'll be joining me live in the [00:01:50] studio, and finally [00:01:52] tonight. [00:02:00] of "Could that be the sound [00:02:04] you hear over the city of London, [00:02:07] of because plans for [00:02:08] of a 13-story mega mosque in North London to replace an Irish [00:02:12] pub, and [00:02:13] in send locals up [00:02:14] of in arms, perhaps that's because there are already 39 [00:02:18] mosks in the local area, now that's all to come, [00:02:21] in but first is your headlines with San [00:02:22] Francis." [00:02:30] Martin, thank you, and good evening to you, just after 7 o'clock, the top story [00:02:34] tonight, Andy Burnam has [00:02:35] of ordered an urgent review into whether grooming gang offenders could be freed early [00:02:39] from prison under the government's release scheme. The Prime Minister has asked the [00:02:43] Ministry of Justice identify cases that may still qualify [00:02:47] after Kemy Beadenock warned [00:02:49] of some of child sex offenders could leave jail before the end [00:02:51] of their [00:02:52] of sentences. of The concern is that older offenses, including [00:02:55] of indecent [00:02:56] of [00:02:56] in assault may not be covered by the exclusion list. Number 10, says [00:03:00] Andy Burnham has personally intervened to make sure that in his words vial [00:03:04] of grumors are [00:03:05] a dealt of with of in the way victims [00:03:08] of deserve. Well that row comes as a petition urging the prime minister not to release [00:03:12] two of PC Andrew Harper's killers, [00:03:14] of passes half million signatures. [00:03:16] in Albert of Bowers and Jessie Cole were jailed after the officer was killed in [00:03:20] 2019 when he was [00:03:22] of dragged behind a car during a quadbike [00:03:24] of theft. Andrew Harper's family says the release would be [00:03:27] utter betrayal. [00:03:31] of of of Well next just to some breaking news emerging from [00:03:35] Heathro airport tonight where smoke has been seen [00:03:38] rising behind one of Britain's busiest runways [00:03:42] after a grass fire reportedly broke out there pictures you can see here [00:03:46] shared on social media showing those blooms of smoke smoke near one [00:03:50] of the passenger [00:03:51] of terminals with departures reportedly suspendeduh and aircraft [00:03:55] left in [00:03:56] of holding a patterns reports say the fire was close to the southern runway forcing [00:04:00] throw to switch temporarily to single [00:04:02] of runway operations while crews made the area safe, [00:04:05] a passengers at this stage being warned to expect [00:04:08] of delays into this [00:04:09] evening. Meanwhile, that comes as [00:04:13] rail passengers are also being told not to travel on parts [00:04:16] of the rail network tonight. It follows a power failure caused major [00:04:20] of disruption of across Greater [00:04:22] of Manchester, the Northwest and the Midlands. The fault is at the Manchester rail [00:04:26] of of operating center with trains cancelled, delayed or rescheduled. [00:04:33] a in In other news, reform UK has said company bosses should face jail if they employ people working without the right [00:04:37] in the [00:04:38] of UK. in The party also wants firms fine 10% of global revenues targeting [00:04:42] delivery and gig economy companies that it claims are profiting from [00:04:45] illegal workers, but the government says that it has already launched [00:04:49] a record [00:04:50] of crackdown. Two men have been [00:04:54] arrested [00:04:55] في today after police officers were taken to [00:04:56] of hospital during second night of disorder in Thatford. Norfock police [00:05:00] says [00:05:00] a crowd gathered after an anti-immigration protest before police officers were called to [00:05:04] reports that [00:05:05] of others were trying to get into a home. One officer was hit with rock, [00:05:09] another was seriously bitten and a third was spat at. [00:05:14] "and Andrew Mountbatten Winder has told a court he was chased by a man a [00:05:18] balaclava near his Sandringam home. The former Duke of York says he was [00:05:22] walking his dogs when he spotted a man that he described as out of [00:05:25] place. 39-year-old Alex Jenkinson denies using threatening, [00:05:29] abusive or insulting behavior, and is also fighting a stalking [00:05:33] protection order. The former Prince Andrew is due to give evidence by [00:05:36] video link at the trial in [00:05:38] December. Those are the latest headline." [00:05:42] for now we'll keep across any developments at Heathro airport for you and of course those rail delays, [00:05:46] but for now it's back to Martin. for all the latest from [00:05:50] GB News while on the go, get the GB News [00:05:52] app, scan the QR code now to download or [00:05:56] visit [00:05:57] gbnews.com, [00:06:07] thank you Sam, welcome back to GB News tonight with me, Martin now to a GB [00:06:11] news. exclusive investigation and we can reveal the [00:06:15] astonishing situation of migrant NGOs and the [00:06:19] facilitating and supporting illegal migration across [00:06:23] the entire European continent, destination, hotel [00:06:26] Britannia. on your screens now as the liflet that reform UK [00:06:30] chairman Lee Anderson discovered in Loon Plage near [00:06:33] Dunkirk that have been handed out to migrants that he claims to be [00:06:37] a crib sheet to help fast-track illegal immigrants into [00:06:41] Britain. Now we don't know who produced the leaf huts, but it does contain, as you can see on [00:06:45] your screens there, a QR code. If you scan that on your [00:06:49] phone, it takes you to this website. [00:06:52] Now alarm phone is an NGO which describes itself as a hotline [00:06:56] for quotes, boat people in distress and that its [00:07:00] long-term goal is to create open borders and freedom of [00:07:04] movement for everyone, but it gets even [00:07:07] more extraordinary. Are you going to cross the [00:07:11] Mediterranean by? boat on one these rots. In [00:07:15] case of emergency at sea with boat or with people on the boat, call the [00:07:19] coast guard the country. You can find the numbers here. After you [00:07:23] have contacted the coast guard, call our alarm phone number. We [00:07:26] don't have boats or helicopters for rescue, but we do have the knowledge and [00:07:30] ability to pressure coast guards and national authorities to [00:07:33] help. It's astonishing. Ladies and gentlemen, you [00:07:37] heard that right, that [00:07:39] there was a video from along phone's website in which they brave. only [00:07:42] brag about pressurizing national authorities to simply [00:07:46] let illegal immigrants in, but there's [00:07:49] more. before you leave, prepare yourself [00:07:52] well. a good life jacket can save your life in case of [00:07:56] emergency. take enough fuel with you. often boats [00:08:00] get into trouble because of lack of fuel. bring enough [00:08:04] drinking water with you. in case of emergency, the only way to [00:08:08] alert anyone when you are in distress [00:08:11] is use satellite phone. "It's incredible, [00:08:15] because if you were unsure about the logistics of brazenly and illegally [00:08:18] breaking into Europe, then fret you not alarmphone has you [00:08:22] covered, and it's got a fully comprehensive battle plan, but [00:08:26] here's the really, really crucial part. We are [00:08:30] watch the med Alarm phone, a transnational network of people [00:08:34] who fight against the European border regime. We demand [00:08:38] safe passages to Europe and freedom of movement for [00:08:41] everyone. You heard that right, [00:08:45] fighting against the European border regime. We [00:08:49] demand freedom of movement for everyone, but there's [00:08:52] even more because Alarm's websites link to another migrant NGO [00:08:56] and they're called Captain Support. In this video, we will [00:09:00] provide information about the different ways in which [00:09:04] people on the move are criminalized for driving boats, what are [00:09:08] their rights and how to get legal support. [00:09:13] If you want to organize legal support for yourself, [00:09:17] friends or relatives, you can contact captain [00:09:20] support Facebook page where you will be supported with [00:09:24] finding legal aid. Everyone should be [00:09:28] able to migrate, escape and live wherever they [00:09:31] wish. Let's keep fighting for a world without borders [00:09:35] and for freedom of movement for [00:09:37] all. Everybody should be allowed to [00:09:41] live. wherever they want, a world without borders, it seems captain [00:09:45] support alarmphone on just pro illegal immigration, they [00:09:49] appear to be pro migrant smugglers too, and just to round it [00:09:53] all off, for all the migrants who can't speak any english, then don't [00:09:57] worry, the are of course services in 16 foreign languages, [00:10:01] including of course [00:10:02] Arabic. [00:10:07] والمخاطر البحر وبمراكب العبور الشعبيه او ما يسمى [00:10:10] بالحرقه. [00:10:25] of NGOs and activists and charities driven by [00:10:29] radical open borders, anti-nation state ideology that [00:10:33] is helping to facilitate the illegal invasion of [00:10:37] Europe all the way from Libya and all the way to an [00:10:40] HMO near you. I'm joined now in the [00:10:44] studio by my panel, the former Conservative attorney general Sir Michael Alice and the [00:10:48] journalist and the broker, gentlemen, you're both great friends [00:10:52] the show, welcome to you both. and i shall [00:10:55] start with you. the brass neck of this [00:10:59] is utterly astonishing, leaflets dolled out to legal migrants, [00:11:03] telling them about tides, about sea conditions, about the [00:11:07] weather, about when and who to call, and then when you get to Britain [00:11:11] who to get in touch with to help facilitate your passage into an [00:11:14] HMO near you. this is braizen, it's incredible. i'm sorry for [00:11:18] laughing, but you are hamming this up, mean i'm thinking of those big booming [00:11:21] american voices in the cinema that tell you to... the next [00:11:25] movie, you are sewing the seeds of [00:11:29] terror in our population, Martin, you are trying to [00:11:32] convince the people of this, [00:11:34] I will come to them a moment, trying to convince the British people that we are [00:11:38] under siege, that we are facing invasion, I think [00:11:41] it was talked about invasion when she was home [00:11:45] secretary, profoundly unreasonable and [00:11:48] irresponsible language, if we were facing invasion, we'd be [00:11:52] facing, we'd be facing people coming over, 'who are threatening us, [00:11:56] who are trying to do us harm, and we've been blowing them out the water, that's what an [00:11:59] invasion is, and by the way, by the way, we're pretty damn good [00:12:03] in this country [00:12:04] at protecting ourselves from invasions, we haven't been successfully [00:12:08] invaded, [00:12:09] what is pictures on your screen, [00:12:12] 72,000 morockan swimming ashore in one day, the [00:12:15] biggest, the biggest arrival in one single day, [00:12:19] if that not is not invasion [00:12:21] my friend, i saw someone write that up in [00:12:23] the in the newspaper this week'. as border porn for the hard and far [00:12:27] right, just relax for second, don't try and terrify the [00:12:31] b, this isn't a horror movie, and the people involved in this stuff [00:12:35] are almost always very, very vulnerable and desperate people. now [00:12:39] let's get to the organizations themselves, to the extent that people [00:12:43] want to help those who are almost inevitably going to cross the channel, which [00:12:47] is an extremely difficult things, should not be done, [00:12:51] right? of course, I'm sure much of it is well in. [00:12:55] but I can't support groups spreading messages [00:12:59] saying we should have open borders, obviously not. I am [00:13:03] very, very much in favor and very defensive of our [00:13:06] borders. What I don't like is the demonization of [00:13:10] great swaves of people who just like you and me want them and their [00:13:14] families to have better life. But I will say final thing, if you are a [00:13:18] desperate dad or a desperate mum, taking your child a [00:13:22] dingy across the sea is a... foundly and deeply [00:13:26] irresponsible thing to do, so Michael Ellis, it appears that if you [00:13:29] expose this brazen facilitation, it [00:13:33] is us that are the extremists, it is us that are terrorizing [00:13:37] the public. well, it seems to me that many these organizations are the [00:13:41] ones that would be happy to call themselves subversive, because what [00:13:45] they are openly seeking to do is subvert [00:13:49] the rules when it comes to the borders of not just the [00:13:52] UK, but other European countries, and they're open. many these [00:13:56] organizations about that, and there are non-government [00:13:59] organizations and charities for that matter across Europe, um, which [00:14:03] are openly doing this and rather proud of it, so they are [00:14:07] subversive organizations, and frankly, you [00:14:10] know, one clip there was talking about the [00:14:14] criminalization of operating boats, it's not [00:14:17] anybody else who's criminalizing that conduct, [00:14:21] anybody who's driving boat, carrying people across... the english [00:14:25] channel in weather conditions like those that we've seen, when [00:14:29] there's a risk to life that is patently obvious, [00:14:33] that person is committing an offense just about under any [00:14:37] country's law that I'm aware of, and certainly under UK law, [00:14:40] because they are facilitating illegal [00:14:43] immigration. [00:14:45] No country in the world has open borders, it's not something unique to [00:14:49] this country, so look, it's deeply irresponsible, [00:14:53] and what we need to do is to recognize. that when people [00:14:56] assist others in committing an offense, they can, they have to [00:15:00] be pretty careful that they're not themselves committing a [00:15:03] conspiracy to to aid others in committing an [00:15:06] offense. [00:15:07] so so the government is, our law enforcement agencies are clamping down on the [00:15:11] people who are piloting these boats, we know [00:15:13] that of course they should, of course they [00:15:17] should. all i would say for these organizations, and i condemn the [00:15:21] idea of open borders, that's not my politics at all, nor by the way, is it? [00:15:38] want to minimize the chances them dying, matthew, let me read [00:15:40] out another quote from alarm phone, also captain support, they [00:15:44] say this: the arrests of traffickers the [00:15:48] captains are the consequences of deadly and racist [00:15:52] European border policy, they add that captains and boat drivers are [00:15:55] used escape goats for violence and deaths at the border, [00:15:59] and that European states and their border policies are [00:16:03] responsible for this violence, they clearly believe that these [00:16:06] people. are are [00:16:08] guys the the people here smugglers? the vast majority these people, matthew talks [00:16:12] about uh how they're in desperate need and about children, all the rest of it. [00:16:16] hardly any these um people are women, hardly any them [00:16:20] are under the age of 16 children, they're just [00:16:23] not, the vast majority are [00:16:27] adults, males - young adult males, you don't get [00:16:30] even elderly email and you the vast majority, so this [00:16:34] is when you see a real refugee situation. which we've all seen on [00:16:38] television from around the world, you see women carrying babies and [00:16:42] their entire life's possessions, in these scenes [00:16:45] you never see women, you never see children or babies, some them are not, [00:16:49] very few economic migrants, they want the they want the what this [00:16:53] country them being granted status, so and lots them are granted [00:16:56] status under a conservative government, so unless you think you were [00:17:00] providing over some sort of sham i piped down on that particular issue, it's [00:17:04] not i think "what we need to [00:17:08] make very clear is the the nonsense coming out of reform this [00:17:12] week where they claim that if the French don't give us permission under reform [00:17:15] government heaven forbid we ever get there to land our [00:17:19] boats on French shores they will land them [00:17:22] anyway [00:17:23] the British people and every single GB news viewer needs to [00:17:27] know that will never ever happen that could be [00:17:31] wrong because there could well be a change of regime in Jordan [00:17:34] Barho's the candidate that" to be the next [00:17:38] president has already agreed that he will do it, Marine Lepen is the [00:17:41] candidate, we have to move on there from a spirit of opening bause juby news has [00:17:44] contacted both these NGOs in question alarmphone and captain [00:17:48] support for reply, but of course we have not heard back from either them, [00:17:52] however alarmphone's website it just state clearly people smugglers [00:17:56] only exist due to and as long as border regimes exist [00:18:00] the prevent refugees and migrants from the ability to enter countries legally [00:18:04] and that forces them to instead to secret exp. [00:18:08] and dangerous roots, and similarly, captain support has publicly [00:18:11] maintained that navigating a vessel or driving vehicle across a [00:18:15] border is an act of shared survival, not an act of [00:18:18] international smuggling. now both institutions also insist their aims are purely [00:18:22] driven by providing humanitarian support for those who are in distress [00:18:26] and prevent human rights violations. great [00:18:30] sorts of show, thank you to my panel. coming up next as Cambridge's [00:18:34] diversity poster boy, professor resigns, mits the swirling [00:18:38] speculation about his alleged achievements. Tonight we'll reveal [00:18:42] some more on the extraordinary auditions to this incredible CV. [00:18:46] That's [00:18:46] next. [00:18:55] One latter when you're [00:18:56] ready. [00:21:59] welcome back to a spirited edition of GB News tonight with me Martin Dorby. now [00:22:03] then Cambridge's diversity poster boy sociology professor [00:22:07] Jason Arday has resigned today from the once around university [00:22:11] and miss a whole host of accusations that he had lied about [00:22:15] his CV from pigs heads to mythical visiting [00:22:18] professorships to 600 miles in just six days to [00:22:22] appearing in tv shows that had over 20 years before he was [00:22:26] even born, it was only ever going to be matter of time for [00:22:30] the man now being called the pinocchio professor to meet a sticky [00:22:34] end. well earlier in the week we revealed some other parts of his [00:22:37] CV including the fact that he was the first man on the moon, but [00:22:41] tonight we can make even more revelations. here he [00:22:45] was, porting the red sea so the Israelites could escape from Egypt, [00:22:49] several thousand years ago, thank you, professor, and also you may [00:22:53] have been led to believe it was Noah's og, but we can tonight reveal actually, it was [00:22:57] our days ark, and finally, yes, Jason Arday walked [00:23:01] on water to, as you can see, the miracles never cease, now I [00:23:05] should say that in his letter he insisted his resignation should not be [00:23:08] interpreted as an admission that he was misleading any way about his [00:23:12] claims of his achievements on his CV, but it's an extraordinary [00:23:16] tale, and actually all the culporates the entire woke. [00:23:20] academic system. I'm joined now in the studio for a lively debate by the [00:23:24] historian, broadcaster, great friend the show, Rafe Hadelmanku as well as [00:23:28] my panel tonight, the for former Conservative attorney general Sir Michael Ellis and the [00:23:31] broadcaster and journalist Matthew Stadlin. Rafe, [00:23:35] let's start with you, [00:23:37] the the the the claims made by the professor are well-worn [00:23:41] astonishing, and it's forced him now to fall [00:23:45] on his sword. What happens next? Well, the [00:23:49] resignation of... jason our day, the milly vannilly of academia has [00:23:53] happened, but that's not the end the story, this is national [00:23:56] scandal, the question is, how is it that the brightest and the [00:24:00] best people in Cambridge, allegedly were hoodwinked by this [00:24:04] person, the work establishment have been humiliated, the James [00:24:08] O'Briens, the Krishna Guru Merthis, leading academic [00:24:11] Simon, how was it that these characters Z [00:24:14] Palanski, they were all hood winked, and this really goes to show you the danger the [00:24:18] woke mine virus, it's so... addled the brains these people, that they [00:24:22] were incapable of seeing what all of your viewers [00:24:25] and everyone else in [00:24:25] the public could see, that the emperor [00:24:29] had no clothes, but the real question here is, and the most important [00:24:33] one, how many other Jason Arday's out there, he was caught and found out [00:24:36] because he was so bold, so blatant with his outlandish [00:24:40] claims, but there must be others in academia, particularly in the [00:24:44] humanities, and in these nonsense disciplines like critical race theory and gender [00:24:48] ideology, which already have substandard. demics who spout drivel and [00:24:51] he was tatted as one their greatest, he was a world leader in critical race [00:24:55] theory, now exposed as a charlotan, well what a damming indictment of critical [00:24:59] race theory that is, but also of course how many doctors [00:25:02] d DI doctors, DI nurses, [00:25:06] pilots, architects, engineers should never have [00:25:09] graduated, should never have been hired, how many their CVs? this [00:25:13] is very serious, because we have to think about the safety their clients, their [00:25:16] passengers, their patients, this record into question the... entire [00:25:20] DII structure. It also of course has created crisis of places like Cambridge [00:25:24] University, which is supposed to have a zero tolerance policy on [00:25:28] plagorism, and yet it refused to examine these allegations. John [00:25:32] Moore university in Liverpool cleared him of plagorism, but even [00:25:35] leftly progressive academics say in their opinion he clearly was guilty of [00:25:39] plagorism. All these characters were engaged in, I would say racist [00:25:43] activity, because they were judging him by lower standard because [00:25:47] he was black. If a white academic had done these things. they would have been kicked [00:25:51] out and the police are also culpable here because they [00:25:54] tried to silence a journalist who was investigating it, not a journalists from [00:25:58] the sun or the mirror or tabloid, but one from the time [00:26:03] times higher education, very stable, reputable, politically correct [00:26:06] publication that was asking questions. this is such serious [00:26:10] issue, and [00:26:11] i don't think people have realized the consequences of all of this. [00:26:14] astonishing thing to say there, rafe, hal, [00:26:18] matthew, i'm going to start with you. [00:26:21] professor arday, rafe claims is is just tip the [00:26:25] iceberg. so to misquate Boris Johnson, what rafe has done [00:26:28] has erect an enormous pyramid of penition. [00:26:32] and unpleasant piffle: you suggest, [00:26:35] for example, that the country could perfectly well see through these [00:26:39] allegations, whereas people like James O'Brien a left leaning radio [00:26:43] host could not. I never even heard of this man until this [00:26:47] week, and I pay pretty close attention to the news. I hadn't watched the [00:26:50] two or three BBC shows he had appeared as a [00:26:54] commentator, so this is in my view, vicious [00:26:57] witch hunt of someone who may well have done something wrong by the way, and if [00:27:01] he has. he's already resigned and if he has and if this investigation or these [00:27:05] investigations go on and show that he has done something wrong, of course he [00:27:09] shouldn't be impost, but it is the relentlessness the [00:27:13] attention, the nastiness the bullying, for example putting up photographs [00:27:17] of of him there, mocking, and this is a man the family, this is [00:27:20] fairly obscure Cambridge academic, I went to to Cambridge, [00:27:24] a great university, I'm sure still a great university, and yet he is [00:27:28] being the the tar, he is targeted by profound... [00:27:32] pleasantness and used as some sort of porn against DII [00:27:36] when there is not a jot of evidence that this man was [00:27:40] given [00:27:40] his job for anything other than the fact [00:27:42] that it was thought at the time, maybe wrongly thought at the time that he [00:27:46] deserved it. you're actually claiming here that the [00:27:49] Pinocchio Professor is been called, is the victim? [00:27:53] he certainly is victim of a really unpleasant witch hunt. that doesn't [00:27:57] mean that he may not also have done things for which he [00:28:01] should be sacked, we don't know. yet because we haven't had the investigations [00:28:05] and his resigned ahead of this was a man who was put a pedestal by [00:28:08] woke liberals who saw in him a diversity golden [00:28:12] child, mean he was the identity politics bingo card [00:28:16] in human form, race tick, poverty tick, [00:28:20] neurodivergent tick, illiterate tick, unorthodox [00:28:23] childhood tick, they were so invested in him, that's why they made him the [00:28:27] youngest black professor in history, despite the lack of any academic [00:28:31] excellent. that's you talk of academia, what's your evidence that he was [00:28:34] appointed for those reasons? because uh, because that is all that they ever talk [00:28:38] about, every time he was mentioned, it was in relation each one of [00:28:42] those points. [00:28:43] do you have any evidence? i have [00:28:46] just told, this is how universities work, he was celebrated [00:28:49] by his superior as being one the great world leaders in this concept. [00:28:53] anybody who has listened to anything that he has put out can see the drivel that's [00:28:57] there, the only clever things that are there are things that have been lifted from other people's [00:29:01] speeches and talks. "this is [00:29:03] what it is, and the question is, why were people, why was Cambridge University [00:29:06] unwilling to have investigation? there were two weeks where every [00:29:10] single day for the last two weeks, newspapers had devastating [00:29:14] revelations, and it was only after two weeks that Cambridge University finally [00:29:18] felt, it had to launch investigation. you said we didn't know about him, well [00:29:22] after about three or four days we we had our idea the the guy, it took all [00:29:26] these great brains at Cambridge, two weeks to come to the same conclusion we [00:29:29] reach, something called process in this country." "you have not [00:29:33] provided a shred of evidence that this man was wrongly appointed, as [00:29:37] I've said, as I've said, if it turns out that he has [00:29:40] done something wrong, then of course just like anyone else, however he's [00:29:44] been heralded as you claim he has been, he shouldn't be in position, [00:29:48] not that's an issue anymore, because he's been hounded out of office as it is. Are you [00:29:52] seriously telling me that if this man had been a white professor [00:29:56] that he would have led the news bulletins or led the front pages for as long as [00:30:00] he has, absolutely not, held to a far higher [00:30:03] standard than other academics, he is in the role he is [00:30:07] in because he has been judged by lower stand, no evidence, no [00:30:11] evidence, man is fake, the man [00:30:15] fabricated everything, his academic output is so [00:30:18] excruciatingly bad and yet he was still held up as one [00:30:22] the great leaders of critical race theory, [00:30:24] what a damming indictment for critical race theory, gentleman [00:30:27] we have to call time on yet another spirit of debate, thank you to you [00:30:30] both, some get a word in we have more of you shortly. now GB News has [00:30:34] contacted professor Arday for comment, but he has previously denied allegations [00:30:38] of plagerism a statements released by his friends the good law project, [00:30:42] professor Arday said, sadly the years since my appointment have also been marked [00:30:46] by an unrelenting level of public scrutiny and personal attack, the [00:30:50] relentless accusations, speculation, and public commentary have taken a [00:30:54] profound toll on me and on those I love, and he previously [00:30:58] told the Times that he lacked adequate supervision during his Ph.D [00:31:02] because of... autism and his learning difficulties, you also said that he was [00:31:05] accountable for mistakes, but what i am is not [00:31:08] a liar. thank you rave, thank you matthew, [00:31:12] thanks to my panel, coming up next a blister. comment piece from the Sunday telegraph [00:31:16] editor Alicer Heath the sparks huge row over the [00:31:20] rumored reform restore Alliance. [00:36:54] Now moving on, now here's reminder of that moment earlier in the... when the reform [00:36:58] UK leader Nigel Farage made this revelation about a possible [00:37:02] pact with reform and restore if you want to do a [00:37:05] political deal with somebody you know you would contact them [00:37:09] privately and not do a 12-minute video that [00:37:12] said that said I [00:37:16] did I did actually reach out back yesterday to him I did say [00:37:20] look should we have call I haven't heard back [00:37:22] yet well beyond a row involving [00:37:26] private whatsapps. between the two, since then, there yet, there is yet to [00:37:30] be any developments, however, in another blistering comment piece from the [00:37:34] Sunday telegraph editor Alicer Heath, he has claimed that an [00:37:37] alliance would be disaster, not least because restores positions [00:37:41] ver frequently into bigotry and overstep the bounds [00:37:45] of civilized discourse. I'm delighted to be joined now by the author of that [00:37:49] piece in person, that's the editor the Sunday telegraph, Alicer Heath as well as my [00:37:53] panel, so Michael Ellis and Matthew Stadlin. Alicer, [00:37:57] another... listering piece, it's fair to say you put the cat amongst the pigeons, the [00:38:00] headline says it all, 7,000 telegraph [00:38:04] responders have got suck in. Nigel Farage must [00:38:07] reject Rupert Low's repugnat dance with white [00:38:11] nationalism. Yes, um, I believe in that strongly, I think [00:38:15] it's time for people on the mainstream rights to make a [00:38:18] stand, to take a stand and to basically say that there's two, [00:38:22] there's two big debates here, the people like me who believe that [00:38:26] immigration should be dr. dramatically reduced, that you know illegal [00:38:30] immigrants should be kicked out, that there should be integration, that we [00:38:33] should wage a fight against islamism, and that we should uh [00:38:37] be proud to be British, we should love this country, and that we should embrace [00:38:41] people who are willing to love this country, and my position is that [00:38:45] you can become British, um, you can choose to become [00:38:48] British, and it is not about race and it's not about your parents or [00:38:52] grandparents or great grandparents, right, so um, and [00:38:55] unfortunately there's a group of people, some of whom are supporters of [00:38:59] restore that don't agree with that and have much more ethnic [00:39:03] definition of britishness. i think that's where the whole [00:39:07] argument balls down to, and um, i just don't agree with that, i think that's [00:39:10] wrong, and i think uh, we should be, you know, the the parties the [00:39:14] right should be civic nationalist parties, um, you know, [00:39:18] people who love Britain, who've become British citizens, are British, [00:39:22] regardless the color their skin, i think that is the key argument here, i also [00:39:26] disagree restore. a bunch of specific policies, for example, they want [00:39:30] to ban coach slaughter, arupet lo said that he was a [00:39:33] barbaric and anti-british practice in that video that he [00:39:37] he made uh intended for naaj faraj, that's complete [00:39:41] nonsense, um, there's being kosd in this country ever since there's been Jews in this [00:39:45] country, and Jews are British patriots, um, he, there's [00:39:49] all sorts of other points like that, but I think fundamentally uh, there's a [00:39:53] big row here uh, and the row is about, can you become [00:39:57] British? "you also claim that's Rupert Loe again, you're not you're not [00:40:00] sparing any punches, is deluded egotist who is toxifying [00:40:04] British politics, fanning the fires of racial and religious [00:40:08] strifes and risks handing permanent power to Andy [00:40:12] Burnham's leftist revolutionaries, that's fair to say quite a few of your own [00:40:15] readers dis disagree with your opinion piece, oh yes the top-rated [00:40:19] comments on the articles by reader called David Jones saying, oh Alice, I'm [00:40:23] disappointed, I'm normally a big fan of your articles, but this attack on [00:40:26] Rupert..." is totally desperate, well it's not desperate, I think it's [00:40:30] essential, I think obviously uh his behavior is entirely [00:40:34] destructive, because he's bringing in all this kind of [00:40:37] obsessive race-linked debate, for example today he was [00:40:41] unable to say that the king was wide British uh, because under [00:40:45] certain definitions the king isn't white British, well if the king isn't white British who's white [00:40:49] British, um, I think you can become British, that's the [00:40:53] key, um, and obviously the king's British, uh, and secondly, obviously [00:40:57] he's... the right because he's deliberately standing to try and [00:41:00] destroy uh reform and that means [00:41:04] that the chances of there being some sort of right-wing majority in parliament or diminishing. may I [00:41:08] ask you, is is your goal aside from obviously [00:41:11] evicerating Rupert Loe and Restore to try and forge an [00:41:15] alliance between the conservatives and Nigel Farage and yet [00:41:18] today said she wouldn't do that, she thinks that reformer [00:41:22] woke. yeah, I mean, this [00:41:24] is where it all becomes ridiculous, more and more ridiculous, right? I mean, yes, I think [00:41:27] ultimately that there probably will need to be some sort of agreement between reform and the [00:41:31] conservatives as things count to stand, obviously things can change dramatically and so [00:41:35] on, but at the moment I think there be there need to be some kind of agreement of that [00:41:39] nature. I do... think there should be an agreement between either reform or the [00:41:43] conservative party will restore because I think they are beyond the [00:41:47] pale. I totally agree with Alister Heath. Of course what [00:41:50] he said is absolutely right. The absurdity the argument is [00:41:53] proven by this point about the king. Anyone who cannot answer the [00:41:57] question it is the king white British [00:42:00] with affirmative answer is frankly showing the absurdity their own [00:42:04] case. Look, not only that, I absolutely agree [00:42:08] that this assault on the... community by effectively saying [00:42:12] that kosher is unacceptable and unbritish, [00:42:16] that the british people, british jews have been in this country for a thousand years [00:42:19] and they've always practiced their religion in that way, [00:42:23] sometimes having to do so privately and secretly, yes, but that is [00:42:27] not acceptable and [00:42:28] there many these arguments are not acceptable that are being put by [00:42:32] those if if i may um interject and say that [00:42:35] restore you britan supporters would say that they obviously [00:42:38] claim lot racis and they care about closing our boards, they care [00:42:42] about protecting the British population, they care about protecting British [00:42:46] culture, is is it unfair to characterize them as frothing [00:42:49] racists? well, I don't, look, people on the right very [00:42:53] largely accept that immigration has gone too far in this [00:42:56] country, there should be removal the sheer [00:43:00] vast numbers, illegal immigrants need to [00:43:04] be stopped, the immigration in this country has broken large parts of our [00:43:08] society, that is acceptable [00:43:10] and all that of course was was wished in by the conservative party, well it's not not wished [00:43:14] in at all by the conservative party, but look, it's all easy to go [00:43:18] back into history, there's a new leader the conservative party now and that's [00:43:22] what we should focus on, mean when you see football team changes its manager, you don't say i'm never going [00:43:26] to support that football team again because they lost the last few matches, we now got [00:43:30] a different, we've got a different captain of our team and they're [00:43:34] showing what they need to show, but look you [00:43:37] know it isn't it isn't about the color of someone's skin, [00:43:39] it is about that, it isn't about their ethnicity or where their grandfather [00:43:43] or father came from, it's about being loyal to this country, loving this [00:43:47] country, supporting the country, anyone can do that if they choose to do [00:43:51] it, matthew sad, i'm going to bring you in a rare moment, you haven't said much in this part, what [00:43:55] do you make about this bun fight between in the last part, [00:43:58] but i commend allister on his very [00:44:02] powerfully written piece and what a relief to find someone who's as talented as [00:44:06] Allister as a writer saying something as that i think [00:44:10] is as important as what he's just said, I don't agree with everything in the article, but a [00:44:14] line in the sand has to be drawn. I [00:44:17] am opposed to much of what Nigel Farage stands for, but [00:44:21] there's no doubt in my mind that Rupert Low is considerably to the right even [00:44:25] of Nigel Farage, and for a prominent journalist [00:44:29] the right, such as you, Alister, editor no less the Sunday Telegraph [00:44:33] a esteemed publication to draw that line in the sand and yes to [00:44:37] get some blowback from some unpleasant characters, I think... is [00:44:40] really important, I just say one more thing, the temptation for the [00:44:44] tories and for labor is somehow to celebrate [00:44:48] or secretly wish on the increasing prominence of Rupert [00:44:51] Loe because it's electurably help, electorally helpful because it's so [00:44:55] damaging to reform, but no, a civilized society, when you find [00:44:59] ethnonationalism being promoted in the way it is, you have to say no, we [00:45:03] have to move on, gentlemen, thank [00:45:04] you very much allister, thank you sir Michael, thank you to you, Matthew Staden, coming up just [00:45:08] moment's time, another explosive story. plans for a 13 story mega [00:45:12] mosk in North London to replace an Irish pub of sent locals [00:45:16] up in arms, perhaps that's because there are 39 mosks already in [00:45:20] the local area, that's [00:45:21] next, [00:45:30] dinner under the stars tonight, that reminds me of our travel [00:45:34] insurance, you mean all clear skies? [00:49:22] Welcome back to Duby News tonight with me Martin Dorby, now tonight's finale, do you [00:49:26] want Britain to look like [00:49:28] this? [00:49:37] Yes, those on your screens, are the architectural blueprint plans [00:49:41] for a 13 story mega mosque in the leafy suburb of [00:49:45] North London's queens park. Yes, plans have been submitted for the [00:49:49] Albanian Megaamosk, as you might expect local are [00:49:53] up in arms and I have a feeling it might be something to do with the fact that within [00:49:56] a three-mile radius there are [00:50:00] already 39 mosks and Islamic centers, [00:50:03] so does this already mosque rich area really need [00:50:07] further cultural enrichment? I'm del to be joined now in my studio by my [00:50:11] panel, sir Michael Ellis, Matthew Stadden and as ever hoving interview like [00:50:14] vision is Sir Jake Reasm because State the Nation is [00:50:18] up next. So Michael, let's start with you, a 13 story [00:50:21] megaamos. touring over London, do we need it? Well, this is the million-dollar [00:50:25] question. If it isn't appropriate in that area, if it isn't actually [00:50:29] needed, then it shouldn't be permitted, not because it's a mosk, but [00:50:33] because is it right to build a 13 story edifice for [00:50:37] any use in that particular area. Is it [00:50:40] proportionate, are there going to be enough parking spaces? Is it going to be too [00:50:44] much of an imposition on people? If you're going to say, well, I'm not going [00:50:48] to allow huge cinema complex or shopping center to... [00:50:52] be built of those proportions in that particular area, then those rules [00:50:56] shouldn't be discarded just because it's religious building. [00:51:00] in other words, the same rule should apply, is it proportionate, is it [00:51:04] relevant, is it sustainable in that area? and also i [00:51:08] do think that there's an aesthetic value to these things, [00:51:11] these for me it is important that buildings [00:51:15] look nice, they look appropriate for their area, they fit in with [00:51:19] the area, so it's that's what's relevant, whether it's a [00:51:23] mosque or or or a church or any other religious building, whether it is a [00:51:27] proportionate size and and style. Matthew Stadland, there [00:51:31] are three floors to prayer on, there's a [00:51:34] morg in there, there are children's areas [00:51:37] and I guess the point is this, if you drive past a mosk [00:51:39] a Friday as I do every week on the way into work, the parking is issue [00:51:43] even a small mosk, the locals all saying it's about that, there have been [00:51:46] nearly 250 comments, most them entirely [00:51:49] negative, do we need this, you're attacking? issue Martin, with the [00:51:53] same sort of gusto with which you attacked the question of migrant leaflets [00:51:57] at the top the show, so I'm struggling to keep an entirely straight face, this is actually down the road [00:52:01] from me, this is down in queens. park, [00:52:05] my concern would be, yeah, look, it's a predominantly local [00:52:08] issue, and there are concerns, I'm sure about parking and so forth, I [00:52:12] do think that why proportionality matters, it matters both in terms [00:52:16] the location, it's largely, I think residential [00:52:19] area, but I think it also matters in something [00:52:23] that's harder to put one's finger on, I am all in favor of free, freedom [00:52:27] of religious expression in this country, I know Sir Jacob is as well, I think we [00:52:31] all are, and that is absolutely vital part of our unwritten. [00:52:35] constitution without it we're lost, we don't have proper freedom, but [00:52:39] I'm also very strongly in favor of integration, and I worry that if you were [00:52:43] to amalgamate lots of smaller mosks if that if that's [00:52:47] what would happen in effect into one giant mosk [00:52:49] that will you describe it, I think slightly comicly as a megaamos, maybe [00:52:53] deliberately, then I do I worry, I worry that [00:52:57] that has the potential for slightly more [00:53:00] divisive rather than integrating narrative, so building [00:53:04] a... gigantic obelisk it isn't [00:53:08] divisive, but to complain about it, would be concerned about it. um, [00:53:12] sir jacob, it's [00:53:13] me that's been dev. no, michael makes a very fair point, there I say rather [00:53:17] bureaucratic point about planning law, and planning law has to [00:53:21] be the same across the country, I think our planning law is dreadful, [00:53:24] disastrous and nitpicky, but nonetheless that's what it is, and I don't [00:53:28] think you get a get out of jail free card for religion. [00:53:32] um, I've got a brilliant suggestion, why don't they... swap haggia Sofia and [00:53:36] bring that back to Christianity and in return we could [00:53:39] contribute to a megaamosque in London. I think we got Hagiah Sofia back, the church [00:53:43] of Constantine, [00:53:44] that would be what, what about my point about integration and [00:53:48] the importance of that? I make point about beauty. I think what was shown on the screen is just [00:53:52] deeply ugly, and I don't want to see more ugly buildings in London. I don't [00:53:56] like skyscrapers, I don't think they fit in with London. Okay, gentlemen, thank you very [00:54:00] much. Jacob states the nation is up next, what's on your menu sir? Whether or not we're [00:54:04] bust? three trillion pounds worth of [00:54:07] debt, that our deficit is greater than [00:54:11] our nominal growth rate, that means the debt gets bigger and bigger [00:54:15] every year, it is debt that we share in, we are all jointly [00:54:19] and severally liable for this three trillion pounds worth of debt, how [00:54:23] we going to pay it off, is the country teatering on the edge of bankruptcy, and there [00:54:27] is the national debt rising as we speak at an eye [00:54:30] watering amount, thank you very much to Jacob, thank [00:54:33] you to michael, thank you I'm going to go and hop in the back car, I'm going [00:54:37] down to Essex for Patrick Chris's live at 9 p.m. I'll see you [00:54:41] then, so Jacob, he's up [00:54:43] next, [00:54:48] expect warm spells with the odd rude [00:54:52] interruption, box boiler sponsors the weather [00:54:56] on GB News, good evening, welcome to your latest GB [00:55:00] news, weather update brought to you from the mat office, a warmer day to come for many of [00:55:03] us for Friday. sunny spells for many, but much the rain will [00:55:07] remain focused across more northwestern areas, but most [00:55:10] notably across the far north and west of Scotland. as a weatherfronts [00:55:14] approaching throughout this evening elsewhere, high pressure will dominate to [00:55:18] bring a dry and clear night for many, so it is going to be a cooler [00:55:22] night for much of England and Wales, some eastern areas of Scotland as [00:55:26] well as northern Ireland, rurally temperatures falling away down to the low single [00:55:30] figures, towns and cities will be a little bit warmer than that to start the [00:55:34] day, but still... pretty fresh wherever you are, a strong wind across the [00:55:38] far north and west of Scotland will accompany the heavy rain, they'll persist [00:55:42] through much of Friday across the western irs as well as the [00:55:45] highlands, some heavy bursts in that with strong gusty near gale [00:55:49] force winds, much dryer though for more eastern areas of Scotland as well as more [00:55:53] southern areas where it will remain relatively warm through much the day. [00:55:57] northern island seeing fine start to the day, temperatures around 14 or 15 [00:56:01] degrees here and elsewhere across England, apart from the odd shower across some... [00:56:05] coastal areas, it will be dry and sunny start to the [00:56:08] day, then there will be more in the way of sunshine than we've had today [00:56:12] across much the country, and that means it will be a little bit warmer [00:56:16] too, it's not going to be wall to wall blue skies, but plenty of bright [00:56:20] sunshine through the day, particularly across some southern areas of England [00:56:24] as well as northern Ireland and southern areas of Scotland where temperatures will [00:56:27] climb to the mid-20s across the south and east, 25 [00:56:31] degrees likely across southeastern areas, a warmer day. [00:56:35] to come on Saturday, rain still persisting though across more northwestern [00:56:39] areas, the winds will be a little bit lighter, but still quite a wet day [00:56:42] here, elsewhere though, remaining dry, temperatures starting to climb as [00:56:46] we pick up a southerly wind, so it's going to be a hot day on Saturday, even [00:56:50] hotter though on Sunday most likely across the southeast with highs of [00:56:54] 31 degrees. Bye-bye, expect warm [00:56:58] spells with the odd rude [00:57:01] interruption, box boiler sponsors the weather.
