The whole [00:00:04] house supports the security services and the police for their [00:00:07] work. I pay tribute to the brave men and women [00:00:11] of who serve our country in that way. On [00:00:14] RF Fairford, firstly, seven suspects were arrested, [00:00:18] one, a duel UK Iranian [00:00:22] in national. These men were all released [00:00:27] of a quickly on bail, and senior US officials have expressed surprise about this. "can the home secretary tell the [00:00:31] house if she thinks it was reasonable to release these men so [00:00:35] quickly and if she believes they posse any [00:00:37] risk. will the [00:00:39] of home secretary also tell the house, if the government was aware in [00:00:43] advance of any threat to [00:00:46] in RAFford, and if so what action they took? as the prime [00:00:50] in minister and just now the home secretary have both said, it is highly likely the [00:00:55] a Iranian state directed this. it is not [00:00:58] acceptable for a state like..." Iran to organize [00:01:01] hostile activity [00:01:03] on our soil. After the [00:01:05] of Salsbury attacks by Russia, then Prime Minister Teresa [00:01:08] May expelled 23 Russian [00:01:12] a [00:01:12] of diplomats. So will the government now take similar action [00:01:16] and expell Iranian diplomats, especially [00:01:20] those thought to be involved in hostile activity [00:01:23] or in espionage. And does she agree in [00:01:27] these [00:01:28] of [00:01:29] in circumstances, it was... wise [00:01:34] in of the foreign secretary to publicly shake hands with the Iranian foreign minister on September 24th in contravention of [00:01:38] longstanding foreign office policy. I note, [00:01:42] Mr. Speaker that on the 4th of October [00:01:44] of the U.S. withdrew all of its B1 bombers from Raf Fairford, and [00:01:48] both the US president and vice president [00:01:51] a ascribed this to security concerns. Will the home secretary confirm [00:01:55] that is indeed why the B1's left, and does the home secretary have any [00:01:59] concerns? about the safety of US military assets [00:02:02] here, because shortly after the RAF incident, two [00:02:06] Latvian men were arrested inside RAF Mullsworth, [00:02:10] which also hosts US forces. Can the home [00:02:13] of secretary of comment on whether [00:02:15] of any foreign state may also have been involved [00:02:18] of in that incident too? Mr. Speaker, [00:02:22] I thank the home secretary for her update on the police response to the [00:02:26] terrible murder of Ann Whidicam. The whole house. [00:02:30] mornser and those who know Anne, of course will [00:02:33] miss her, and this comes on the heels [00:02:37] of of the tragic murders of our dear colleagues, Joe Cox and [00:02:40] of David Amis, not that long ago. The threat [00:02:44] against current and former members of Parliament is [00:02:48] clearly [00:02:49] in very real one. Joshua Carry, the accused of [00:02:52] murdering and is said by prosecutors to have an extreme [00:02:56] left-wing mindset, suggesting this was a politically motivator. [00:03:00] murder, he's also accused of conducting online [00:03:04] reconnaissance on over 100 public figures and [00:03:08] a trying to break into the home [00:03:09] me of the [00:03:09] a honorable member for [00:03:10] in Clacton last year. It has been reported that despite [00:03:14] recovering substantial amounts of CCTV, that case was [00:03:18] closed. It was then reopened in [00:03:22] all sorry, just very careful [00:03:23] of about how we're going, motivation, we're creeping into [00:03:26] a what a court might deciding were not the court. Please we can just... [00:03:30] tear a little bit away, because we all want prosecution, I want nothing [00:03:34] to risk this case cuz she was a french [00:03:37] of of war. thank you, Mr. Speaker, I was quoting what the prosecutor said, but of course [00:03:40] I'll um take [00:03:42] of your advice um, as always, um, I was going to go to ask, [00:03:46] whether the home secretary shares my concern, which she alluded to [00:03:48] a in her statement, that the cancellation [00:03:51] of the earlier investigation may have meant opportunities to [00:03:55] prevent the later tragedy might have been [00:03:58] missed. I understand, and number of current and [00:04:02] former MPs have very recently [00:04:04] of been contacted to be told that they appeared a list made by [00:04:08] Kerry. Kerry was arrested on the 11th of [00:04:11] July, but [00:04:12] of it was not until last week, nearly three months [00:04:15] of later that some of those on that list, colleagues of ours here and other former [00:04:18] MPs [00:04:19] a were notified. can the home secretary tell the house when she [00:04:23] knew about that list, and to she agree it would be wrong if [00:04:27] those listed on it had the information with held from them for a [00:04:31] period of time, potentially as long as three months. [00:04:35] threats to democratically elected representatives are [00:04:41] of a threats to democracy. well, hello there, I'm Michelle Jubery, you're just listening in to the House of Commons there, where we've just seen [00:04:45] our home secretary, [00:04:47] of Shabana Mahmoud, she was addressing the house there, [00:04:50] of announcing essentially a root and branch review of [00:04:54] security for those in public office, [00:04:58] of um, aside [00:04:58] from additional to, the police support for MPs. She [00:05:02] was [00:05:03] in also announcing sir, Stephen Lovegrove will conduct that [00:05:06] review, that review will report back in six months time. She [00:05:10] also then announced a inquiry into the [00:05:14] heatenpack synagogue attacks. welcome [00:05:17] to jubes and cur, there are so many things we need to talk about tonight, [00:05:21] ladies and gents alongside me to respond to that and [00:05:25] more. i've got Paulster academic and gb news presenter matt [00:05:29] goodwin. i've also as well alongside him [00:05:32] got uh journalist dan Hodges. gents, i [00:05:36] shall pick up on that story actually uh live, you just been hearing it on [00:05:40] fold there, you've also just been hearing as well. um [00:05:43] the shadow home secretary Chris Philp responding [00:05:46] directly to that. What were your thoughts listening in? Well, there's [00:05:50] a lot to uh think about there, Michelle. I mean, the [00:05:53] couple of things that stand out to me: firstly, it is now crystal clear, [00:05:57] I think that the police did not take the original [00:06:01] um plot against Nigel Farage anywhere near as [00:06:05] seriously as they should have done. Nigel has gone on record saying he thinks had [00:06:08] they done so then Ann Widdeckham, our friend would still be... with [00:06:12] us today uh that needs to be investigated uh [00:06:16] fully uh the second thing is raf [00:06:20] fairford and this sort of absurdity of where we [00:06:24] are now, because on the one hand we [00:06:27] know, we know that the small boats have been bringing in convicted [00:06:31] terrorists from Iraq, Kuwait, from Egypt, um, [00:06:34] people have been convicted of terrorist offenses in Germany, and [00:06:38] at the same time we've got a labour government that's refusing to stop the... [00:06:42] illegal migration flows and is putting the British people [00:06:46] and our allies at risk. Nigel Farage this morning said he [00:06:50] thinks we are facing national state of [00:06:53] emergency. I agree with him, uh, we need to control [00:06:57] our borders, we need to clamp down on the terrorists that are being able now. [00:07:01] They are able to enter, stream into our country at will, [00:07:04] and we're losing our allies. I mean, I never thought I'd see the day [00:07:08] where we'd have a government sucking up to Iran to... [00:07:13] and Hamas while clamping down on Israel and alienating the United States of [00:07:17] America, but here we are. yeah, I mean, I [00:07:21] think obviously, as Mata said, [00:07:24] very wide range of very serious issues there, obviously we heard [00:07:28] the, the statement firstly in relation to to MPs, as Matt said, [00:07:32] obviously, as we're aware, there has been a specific [00:07:35] threat um in relation to Nigel Farage [00:07:39] identified, but I mean also, there has... been a [00:07:42] specific threat my understanding, it's been, it's a matter [00:07:45] of public [00:07:46] record now, specific threat to over 100 [00:07:50] MPs um from from all parties, including Kemy [00:07:53] Badnock, um, and indeed, my understanding is [00:07:57] Rosie Duffield who is a former labor MP, [00:08:01] so a sense there's not you, there's not a hierarchy of of threat in [00:08:05] relation to this, all all our public servants sadly [00:08:09] are facing this in relation to [00:08:12] 'RAF Fairford, um, again, I think I said it at the time when the [00:08:16] incident first occurred, and that was [00:08:19] Matt's Matt's response at the time, we had discussion about it on Twitter, I mean, [00:08:23] I, I have to say I'm find it surprising that when Britain [00:08:27] uh, is subject to some form attack by a foreign [00:08:31] state, hostile state, Matt's initial reaction is to turn inward [00:08:34] and attack the British government, I mean, I'm I'm [00:08:38] I'm particularly surprised to see him still banging the sort of' [00:08:42] the drum on on on the small boats given he and number of [00:08:46] his colleagues in the immediate aftermath the incident were [00:08:50] run running around saying that the it seem clear the people [00:08:53] involved um were Iranian nationals who [00:08:57] arrived on small boats you know they were attacking and are still attacking in [00:09:01] certain instances the security services um for in their view not [00:09:05] being top of this instant we've had a we've had had more of [00:09:08] you know those attacks on the authorities today [00:09:11] and and and and obviously [00:09:13] that that as far as the information we have uh, none of that turned out to be [00:09:17] true. well, just briefly on that, here's [00:09:21] what I can't get my head around. 10 years ago, 11 years ago, the European [00:09:25] Commission was warned, the European Commission was warned that terrorists [00:09:29] would use illegal migration to funnel [00:09:33] terrorists into western nations. the next year, 2016, [00:09:37] Frontex, the agency that monitors Europe's borders, [00:09:41] said the terrorist. we're using illegal migration to flood [00:09:44] Europe, to flood western nations with terrorists after the Paris attacks in [00:09:48] 2015, two of those individuals had entered France [00:09:51] illegally, we know already in this country we have got convicted [00:09:55] terrorists arriving through illegal migration from Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, Egypt and [00:09:59] elsewhere, we know that, that's all on the public record, irrespective of whether or not [00:10:03] these particular individuals are connected to the small [00:10:07] boats, it is nonetheless utterly absurd that Shaban [00:10:11] and [00:10:12] Mahmoud, let me finish. and utterly absurd that Shabbaana Mahmoud stands there talking about national [00:10:16] security, well tonight, tomorrow, the next day and the next [00:10:19] day and the next day, anybody can enter this country at will, no matter where they're [00:10:23] from, what they believe, why? they're here and historians [00:10:26] in the years to come will have to explain this how a state, a [00:10:30] supposedly serious state like the United Kingdom has [00:10:33] allowed this level of threat to enter at [00:10:37] will, but I'm sorry and I think you know that that that of party [00:10:40] political broadcast on on behalf of reform and underlines [00:10:44] the problem, I mean these are very, very, very [00:10:48] serious national security issues that we're talking about, now you and your [00:10:51] colleagues, you're now saying, oh well, maybe these specific... people w that [00:10:55] doesn't matter at the time it did matter to you and and as [00:10:59] I said in relate your immediate response and the response of your [00:11:02] colleagues to major national security [00:11:05] threat was to attempt to politicize the incident [00:11:09] and you got your facts in the incident we [00:11:13] know the Iranians have sent agents and operatives in what we know [00:11:16] that [00:11:18] with respect you ask me you ask me to let me finish so you [00:11:21] please let me finish now you still [00:11:25] aspire, I understand to government, your [00:11:28] colleagues - aspire to government. I mean, I don't [00:11:32] think that, I don't think that is, is how things are going [00:11:36] to play out, but one the things you're going to have to [00:11:39] understand and learn is if you do genuinely aspire to [00:11:43] govern the United Kingdom at the highest office, you are going to have to learn [00:11:47] to respond to these very serious [00:11:50] threats, national security threats a [00:11:54] way. that is much more mature than you're doing, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just want to come back [00:11:58] on this, we talk about mature response stand, we are living under labor government [00:12:02] that has gone to shake hands with the very state that is [00:12:05] seeking to destroy our civilization, Ed Miller Band [00:12:09] went over, shook hands with the Iranians, we've got a labor government that is [00:12:13] cosing up to Hamas, has been praised by Hamas twice in as [00:12:17] many years because it is selling out our foreign policy in order [00:12:20] to essentially reward Islamists while punishing Israel and we are... [00:12:25] now alienating even the United States of America who are removing [00:12:29] their military capabilities from the United Kingdom because, [00:12:32] and they've said this quite openly, they do not trust us to [00:12:36] manage our own national security, [00:12:39] that is not politicizing the point, that is simply saying that we are no [00:12:43] longer serious country when it comes to national security, and Nigel [00:12:47] Farage said that this morning [00:12:48] and I agree with him, there's a couple couple of things there, I mean firstly [00:12:51] in in in you know relation to the United States, I think we've all had a graphic example of... [00:12:55] the last 24 hours about how nobody should be taking [00:12:58] lectures from the United States on international or national security, but [00:13:02] again you've perfectly illustrated my point, I mean again, you [00:13:06] know, global international diplomacy is [00:13:10] very, very complex, it's very, very complex when you're dealing with [00:13:14] issues of sort of international [00:13:17] terrorism, it's very, very complex when you're dealing with the issues we're currently seeing in the [00:13:21] Middle East, and your exers, your focus..." [00:13:25] is my handshake, that's just not, it's just not serious, [00:13:28] sorry, dad, as you know, as you know, symbolism in geopolitics matters a [00:13:32] great deal, so can you explain the complexity that led the labour [00:13:36] government, that led the left in this country to essentially [00:13:39] reward Hamas by recognizing a state while we still had [00:13:43] Jews in tunnels being held hostage, can you explain the [00:13:47] complexity that led to Ed Millerband to endorse and legitim [00:13:51] legitimize the Iranian state that is actively plotting [00:13:55] terror attacks against our people, I don't think that's complex. I think there's a line, which [00:13:59] is we don't deal with those people, they're trying to kill us, we don't deal with those people, [00:14:03] they just murdered 1,200 Jews, and we stand uh with British [00:14:07] Jews on that issue, and we support the United States of America, because guess what, they've been [00:14:10] providing our security in this country since the second world war, I [00:14:14] don't think it is that complex, I mean I'm just curious buse you haven't real, that's absolutely [00:14:18] right, you don't think it's complex, you think it's all [00:14:22] very, very simple, I'm just explaining. point rais just just for my [00:14:26] just so like understand your position, even if these [00:14:30] Iranians didn't come in on the small boats, can you explain to me [00:14:33] why [00:14:34] it is the labour government despite knowing that we are [00:14:37] importing and we have imported convicted terrorists from Iran, [00:14:41] from Egypt and elsewhere, why it is the labor government will not [00:14:45] as a matter of principle control our borders, I'm not politicizing [00:14:49] it, I'm just asking you a question, why why [00:14:52] you want to answer the question, I'll answer the question again because... [00:14:56] as as everyone is aware, the issue of stopping the [00:14:59] small bones is again a complex issue. If it was simple [00:15:03] issue, then your colleagues Suella Bravman and Robert Genrick would have [00:15:07] solved the solved the issue when they were in charge of [00:15:10] immigration and when that when Suela Bravman [00:15:14] was was home secretary, and of course they didn't, did [00:15:18] they? it's it is, I find it absolutely, no, but they didn't, did they? [00:15:22] you're not disputing not that, disputing [00:15:23] you're party, the tory party... No, but your [00:15:25] colleague, I'm [00:15:27] your question, the tory party refused to solve the issue, which is why [00:15:31] Suwella and Robert resigned in discussed at what the tory party was [00:15:34] doing, that is why they left [00:15:36] the government reality. It's not, but that is that is [00:15:40] what happened, why they resigned is is is matter of record, neither and the resigned, [00:15:44] they resigned because they did not believe the tory party was acting in the [00:15:47] interests the nation, but not in relation to small bones, in relation to [00:15:51] immigration, absolutely, which is [00:15:54] in fact both Suella Bravman and Robert Genrick stood at the [00:15:57] election a conservative manifesto which [00:16:01] had similar policy on this rather than go look, they've said why they've left the touri [00:16:05] party, don't dispute, this [00:16:09] is important, no, no, no, this [00:16:10] is important, no, because you were just blame, you you're blaming [00:16:13] labor and theory party, I'm just saying, [00:16:17] is it not a matter of fact that your current colleague, [00:16:20] sir, was home secretary at the time, small, a [00:16:24] tory party that refused to leave the European convention on human rights, [00:16:28] a tory party that refused to repeal the human rights act in [00:16:32] a tory party that refused to derogate from the refugee convention, reform [00:16:36] uk this morning. every single one of those things which you [00:16:39] need to [00:16:39] do to stop the boats, you say it's complex, it really is not that complex [00:16:43] stand, we could stop the boats within a matter of weeks and as I said Matthew, you just again [00:16:47] European it, everything's simple in your world, I'm just saying [00:16:51] your colleague suela Bravman who was home secretary didn't find it that [00:16:55] simple, and your [00:16:56] colleague Robert Generic who was immigration minister, but the people watching the [00:17:00] showdown, they're not idiots, they know it was the tory party, not an individual [00:17:04] that refused to leave the ECHR and deal with. [00:17:10] you're sitting there saying it was really really simple, really really simple, you know [00:17:14] and everybody knows it was the tory party as Rishi Sunak himself said on [00:17:18] Sunday that refused to leave the EC they were they were [00:17:22] senior ministers in that government, well you are all watching at [00:17:26] home, you are not idiots - not indeed, who do you blame for this and do you [00:17:30] actually think that the current government uh will be able to get a grip of it, if [00:17:34] you are just tuning in uh you're listening and watching to jubes and just been [00:17:38] talking about Raf Farford there um our prime minister, he gave a [00:17:41] statement on that today, and what he was saying, and I [00:17:45] quote, [00:17:46] I can confirm our our assessment that it is highly [00:17:49] likely that uh that potential terror flot plot, [00:17:52] sorry, had been coordinated in Iran, almost certainly [00:17:56] directed by Iran's Islamic revolutionary guard, he went [00:18:00] to say we will not tolerate those threats on our soil, we will crack down on [00:18:03] Iran's use of criminal networks using our full range of powers to target. [00:18:07] them and their funding streams and you went to say uh that he was [00:18:11] announcing further sanctions and also at the top the program if you [00:18:15] just tuned in you will have missed perhaps our home secretary giving announcement [00:18:19] there when it comes safety in public officer police [00:18:23] protection will now be expanded to people [00:18:26] beyond just serving MPs there will also be a public [00:18:29] inquiry into the heaten park uh attack there at [00:18:33] that synagogue and of course you mentioned David Amos as well do "It [00:18:37] was half decade, this week, as it happens, uh, that [00:18:41] David Ammis was murdered. Uh, we've got that review as well, [00:18:45] Robert Buckland, he was commissioned in March to commence that [00:18:49] review. I do find myself uh, wondering how many [00:18:52] reviews, how many root and branch uh, investigations do [00:18:56] we need on these kind of things? Uh, the announcement today [00:19:00] that there will be uh, Sir Stephen Lovegrove, he will be conducting [00:19:04] review, that one set to report back in six months." What [00:19:07] do you make to it all? There are so many things we need to discuss tonight. You will have [00:19:11] seen Reform UK. They've announced a new plan when it comes to [00:19:15] Asylum. [00:22:50] Hello everyone, welcome back, Jub's Ancer, Michelle Jubery, Mack Goodwin, Dan [00:22:53] Hodges with you until 7 o'clock tonight, uh, so we've just been [00:22:57] hearing then the home secretary talking about national security [00:23:01] and security in public office, I'll tell you someone else that was talking about [00:23:05] national security as well today, that was reform UK, they - did a press [00:23:09] conference making announcement today that if they got into uh [00:23:13] office, what they would essentially do is they'll call it shut down, [00:23:17] press pause on the asylum system for a parliament. term: [00:23:21] let's just have a little listen to Nigel Farage: all we're asking [00:23:24] here is for normality, all we're asking here is [00:23:28] for normal service to be resumed, [00:23:32] and so yes, we will end the asylum system [00:23:36] for up to five years, and why are we going to do that? because we're [00:23:40] in the most terrible mess as a country, we literally have [00:23:44] no idea who is here, and we [00:23:47] frankly can't afford... [00:23:50] to take the risk, well given your allegiance with reform, I'll start [00:23:54] with you, um, your thoughts today, well I agree that absolutely [00:23:58] everything Nigel Farage said this morning, I think we are a state of [00:24:01] national emergency, we don't know who's coming into the country, we don't control our [00:24:05] borders, even the BBC and Home Office whistleblowers has [00:24:09] reported in the Times newspaper say the system is in [00:24:13] complete chaos, we had that revelation only two weeks ago from somebody who's [00:24:17] working asylum claims that only one in every [00:24:20] 100 is legitimate, the BBC has revealed that [00:24:24] lawyers are gaming the system, telling asylum seekers and illegal [00:24:28] migrants, how to basically exploit the generosity the [00:24:32] British people, and all of this is costing, everybody out there [00:24:36] watching this show, billions and billions of pounds that should be [00:24:40] going into our schools, our hospitals, building prisons [00:24:44] and our infrastructure, I think Nigel Farage is absolutely right, I think we've [00:24:48] done an enormous amount for Ukrainians, 'we've done an enormous amount for Hong [00:24:51] Kongers, we've done an enormous amount for people from other parts the world, but it is [00:24:55] time now to put the British people where they belong, which is [00:24:59] first and Rogers, yeah, I mean we saw uh [00:25:03] Nigel there saying [00:25:04] you know this is about the the crisis in the the the immigration system and the [00:25:08] asylum system is not really it, it's actually about the [00:25:11] crisis that is currently facing reform and the [00:25:15] ongoing collapse in reforms poll rating in [00:25:19] general and in specifically the political [00:25:22] threat that that Nigel Farage and Matthew and others [00:25:26] see from restore who are currently eating [00:25:29] into what's left of of reforms pole [00:25:33] rating, so this is just the latest sort of iteration [00:25:37] their policy, I mean I think last time I was in this studio we had a big launch [00:25:41] of what was it, what was it called, it had the big glossy thing [00:25:44] operation something or other and you had a big aircraft carrier on the front the [00:25:48] brochure and that was going to solve the problem. and obviously that didn't have any [00:25:51] effect on on on on reforms pull rating, so we've got this, so we've got [00:25:55] this policy here which now involves, and I think it's important [00:25:59] to stress this, not. [00:26:02] targeting people who are trying to abuse the asylum [00:26:05] system, but the first time I've heard this from any sort of political [00:26:09] party other than maybe the national front or the BMP, [00:26:13] sending back to oppressive regimes to murder and [00:26:17] torture people are genuine, that's not [00:26:21] true, that is your policy, no it's not, if the countries are deemed [00:26:24] not safe, yeah, they were very clear this morning, our document is very clear, they [00:26:28] will be sent to third country processing, [00:26:32] why are all these third countries going to accept that? what we're back to third countries. it's [00:26:36] it's interesting how dismissive you are of this idea. do you know who else is backing that idea? [00:26:40] who else is backing that did? greece, Denmark, [00:26:44] Germany, Italy, something that lot of reforms [00:26:47] critics now ignore is that many EU member states now [00:26:51] guess where they want to send illegal migrants down to Rwanda, so [00:26:55] wait second, so wait second, but just to be clear on the policy, [00:26:58] if the third, these magical third countries [00:27:02] are going to absorb these migrants that we don't want, don't [00:27:06] want them, then you will have to return to their countries of [00:27:09] origin, [00:27:11] right? no, we will send them to third country pr, [00:27:14] i just said, i just said there were going to be lots of countries down, we had we just almost had an [00:27:18] agreement with one, we just almost had an agreement with an agreement, [00:27:22] rwanda, we almost had an agreement, you haven't got an agreement, you're actually saying [00:27:25] that, wait second, no, no, no, this is interesting, you're [00:27:29] actually sitting there now and you're telling people watching this program that [00:27:33] your solution is to send them to Rwanda, the person who sat [00:27:37] here, well you did, you just said Rwanda, no, I didn't say that, listen to me, okay, so what's the [00:27:41] country, listen to me carefully, I am listening, I'm listening very questioning [00:27:45] the pre, you're questioning the premise that we cannot [00:27:48] send illegal, that we can send illegal migrants and asylums to [00:27:52] third countries, reminder if I can finish my point please, please do, [00:27:56] Greece is doing it, Denmark is doing it, Italy is doing it, Germany is doing it, the [00:28:00] European Union is doing it, in which case? Hodges, if we cannot [00:28:04] actually send illegal migrants and asylum seekers who are costing us [00:28:08] billions of pounds to third countries, you better tell all of Europe, [00:28:12] because they are currently planning on doing so, including you want to name countries, [00:28:16] Uganda and Rwanda, and why did the tori party not [00:28:20] not be able to pursue with Rwanda, because we were still in the European [00:28:23] convention on human rights and what is reform going to do, leave the [00:28:27] European convention on human right, you just announced the policy and you've [00:28:30] said fundamental part. the policy is sending them to [00:28:34] third - sort of third party, well ideally sending them [00:28:38] back to the countries they came from, but if those countries are deemed unsafe, they will [00:28:42] have to go to a third country center, third country for processing, [00:28:46] right? so which third country have you got an agreement with? well, wel strike agreements [00:28:50] with those countries, like much of so you haven't got any agreements, like much of [00:28:54] Europe is currently negotiating the same agreements down, you're being [00:28:57] fesitous, you [00:28:58] know, [00:29:03] I'm sorry, [00:29:03] I'm not going [00:29:03] to have, I'm not going to have a whole debate about a mythical, [00:29:06] hypothetical third country, I thought you wouldn't want to, the [00:29:10] debate down, I'm sorry, this, [00:29:12] it's a mythical third country, in which case, in which case I suggest going to Brussels and [00:29:16] Strasburg and having exactly the same conversation with Germany, [00:29:19] Italy, Greece, much of Europe is now coming to the same point that [00:29:23] Nigel Farage was making five years ago, which is that we [00:29:26] need safe countries where we can send illegal [00:29:30] migrants so they are not put into the... [00:29:34] at the moment, your word, not mine, at the moment it's a mythical third [00:29:38] country, is that correct? you haven't actually gotten agreement about the third country you're going to send these [00:29:42] people, dan we will strike agreements with countries, you haven't, you haven't today [00:29:46] is what i'm saying, well they're not in power, which countries are going to be [00:29:49] striking, [00:29:57] hang on, respond, yes, but i also want to [00:30:01] bring it into... day as well, because we're currently talking about third [00:30:05] countries and people that are not yet in power, what's wrong with sending people [00:30:09] back to their country of origin? what is wrong with sending [00:30:13] genuine asylum seekers back to their country of origin? yes, well, [00:30:17] because they'll be murdered and tortured, michelle, not always, so hold on then, because I want to [00:30:20] explore this thought, so you must be livided with the current labor government then, [00:30:24] because Shaban Mahmoud, there's a case going through at the moment where [00:30:28] you've got a guy from Syria who is a plastic surgeon. [00:30:32] 'who came into this country multiple years ago with his wife and his children, they're all [00:30:36] settled here, and the UK government have now uh announced that [00:30:39] he's having his refugee [00:30:41] pr protection removed and he's got to go back to Syria, well that's presumably [00:30:45] because he's it's been deemed he's not a genuine refugee, [00:30:49] but policy hold on, [00:30:52] this [00:30:53] is this is very important because what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to get away from the [00:30:57] party political fighting and I'm trying to focus on [00:31:00] specifics of what is going on'. here, so Syria, when you look [00:31:04] at Syria, [00:31:05] the the foreign office say [00:31:06] that you shouldn't travel to Syria, we shouldn't travel to Syria because of volatile [00:31:10] security situations, the UN refugee body um [00:31:13] says it's basically very... unsafe and all the rest of it, but there is case going through the courts right now, it's [00:31:17] a Syrian guy, is a plastic surgeon in this country, he arrived in [00:31:21] the UK in 2016, he lives in London with his wife and six children, and [00:31:25] he's received a letter from the home office saying his refugee [00:31:28] protection has been cancelled, and what they're basically [00:31:32] saying um is that now the Assad regime has fallen, [00:31:36] it should be saved for this Japanese family to go back, this has been [00:31:40] widely reported in places like the Guardian and all the rest of it, [00:31:44] so what would... you say to that then? well, i've just said it, [00:31:47] that the point is that the assad regime, ye, he was [00:31:50] fleeing, has fallen, so obviously the sad [00:31:54] regime and no longer a threat to him, what Matthew's party's [00:31:58] policy is, as I said, and he's admitted it, I haven't [00:32:01] add anything done, well no, you have, well this point, should people go back to [00:32:05] Syria, should we send asylum seekers and refugees in [00:32:08] Britain back to Syria, it's simple question, yes or [00:32:11] no, uh, should should people be sent back? [00:32:16] just about that, I'm just about to answer you, you go through case by case basis, if they [00:32:20] have genuine fear of persecution, you don't send them back, if they [00:32:24] don't have genuine fear of persecution, no, he has fear of persecution, this guy, this is [00:32:28] why it's going through the courts now, but the point is he will have to [00:32:31] demonstrate that if he's sent back to Syria he will face ajonion threat [00:32:35] of persecution, now if the reason he was here in the first place was he [00:32:38] fast persecution from the assad regime and as he said the assad [00:32:42] regime no longer exists then that is why i presume his case [00:32:46] is now under question, that is separate from what Matt's policy and [00:32:50] reforms policy is, which is even people who are [00:32:54] proven to have genuine, genuine and [00:32:57] existing fear of persecution should be sent [00:33:00] back. i think you need to have a conversation with Germany, dam, because [00:33:04] they have just decided over the last couple of days. in Germany should i have the conversation [00:33:08] with that, because Germany has just decided [00:33:12] in the last couple of days to send back, Syrians [00:33:16] that have come into Germany since 2015 because Syria is now [00:33:19] deemed safe country, in fact Germany [00:33:23] is also that's not your policy, in fact [00:33:25] Germany, that's not your policy, can I finish, you asked me about [00:33:29] sending people back safe countries and sending people back to countries that might have [00:33:33] not once upon a time be considered safe, Germany's even sending people back to [00:33:37] Afghanistan, party's policy [00:33:40] is, your party's policy, no let me let me [00:33:44] finish it. people to accept people from all over the world, before you [00:33:48] go into the party polical speech, let me just make [00:33:50] this point, just because I'm going to [00:33:51] have to explain to you what your policy is, before today your party's policy [00:33:55] was we will send back people who are not genuine asylum seekers, [00:33:59] your party's policy today, we've just had the press conference is you [00:34:02] will send back people who are genuine asylum seekers, do you [00:34:06] understand the difference, dan you're being deliberately faces, you missed out the key, just literally [00:34:10] told you what your policy is, do you generally not know what [00:34:13] your own party policy is? 'two [00:34:16] countries that are deemed safe, to countries that are deemed safe, [00:34:20] do you understand that point, dan do you want me to write it down for you? yeah, there's safe countries, but you're [00:34:24] saying [00:34:25] you will dep, you're saying you'll deport people from [00:34:28] countries that are still not deemed safe, what do you make to all ladies [00:34:32] and gen sorry, did you generally not realize that what's you're doing, you're being [00:34:36] completely disingenuous and people at home will be able to see what the policy [00:34:40] is, we will send people back to countries that are deemed safe, countries that are not deemed safe, [00:34:44] those people be sent to third country processing centers, that's not [00:34:48] particularly complex, Dan, I know you struggle with big words. Uh, excuse me, we do [00:34:51] respectful [00:34:52] to bit on this program. Thank you very much, and the respectful debate will [00:34:56] continue after the break, there are so many things that we need to discuss, ladies and [00:34:59] gents, not least, there's a video of something [00:35:02] and I will play it for you after the break, it's really divided opinion, you'll have strong opinions on [00:35:06] it yourself, I'll have all of that and more after the [00:35:08] break. [00:39:57] back of his Chelsea share at Cole Palma that couldn't even be bothered [00:40:01] even to say hello, I'm going to try and squeeze few minutes in before the end the program, see what you [00:40:05] think to that, but before I do, something else that's really got you all divided, I hate to [00:40:09] break it to get it in hats on because it involves the EU. Let's take a [00:40:13] listen to what Andy Bernam had to say on recent [00:40:17] podcast. I've asked the question myself coming [00:40:20] in uh to this role cuz I gave a speech to the UN recently on [00:40:24] this very topic, I don't think we knew back then the... extent to which there [00:40:28] was state-sponsored interference in the British [00:40:31] Democratic process, but I asked the question coming into Downing Street, [00:40:35] well was there interference in the 2016 [00:40:39] referendum from Russia, and I've had the clear answer that yes there [00:40:42] was, the sponsored interference from Russia, when it comes to Brexit, then listen to what [00:40:46] Andy Bernam said today, I implied no such [00:40:49] thing in my comments on the uh Restis politics [00:40:53] podcast, I think she should go back and and look... [00:40:57] again, it is matter of record, Mr. Speaker, that Russian [00:41:01] actors sought to interfere in the [00:41:04] 29 general election, and we think it is [00:41:08] inconceivable that this was the first [00:41:12] time, and [00:41:13] I do have to say there was only like matter of hours between those two things taking place, [00:41:17] the podcast and then [00:41:17] that uh so-called clarification statement in the comments uh, [00:41:21] really, I mean, where where do we even start with this? first and foremost, Andy [00:41:25] Benham did suggest, I mean, I've literally... cleared the clip that there was Russian [00:41:28] interference in Brexit, so why then suggest that he didn't? [00:41:32] yeah, i we were talking about this off there, i'm surprised [00:41:36] he's got himself in such a mess on this one, because mean i i i [00:41:40] think the thing is in the clip he said there was Russian interference [00:41:44] in Brexit and there was Russian interference in why [00:41:48] didn't I said it buse anyone was work said that I think I think [00:41:52] the point is we've now moved from was there Russian interference in [00:41:55] Brexit to was the interference [00:41:58] successful and did the interference [00:42:02] effectively and significantly influence or determine the vote and the [00:42:05] reality is it didn't I mean I don't think anybody I mean [00:42:09] this is the one think that me and Matt would would agree on, um, [00:42:13] I don't think anyone really seriously thinks that that the Brexit [00:42:17] result was was a was a product of of the Russians, but [00:42:20] equally, it's it, it's foolish to deny, we had, we opened the program looking at the [00:42:24] threats we're facing from from foreign states, obviously we focused [00:42:28] lot, focused lot on Iran, um, but [00:42:32] Russia is a threat a major and and direct threat, obviously we had [00:42:36] the incident of obviously the fire bomb attacks on Kier Starmer's House. [00:42:40] "um, we've obviously had the Sulsbury issue and and other issues, so [00:42:44] Russia is is major threat, but as I said, I'm not entirely sure [00:42:47] why [00:42:49] on the head of a pin over whether he said you know it was, it was [00:42:53] interference or whether it it's very strange, it's very [00:42:56] strange goings on, um, anyway, your thoughts, [00:42:59] just the idea that there was Russian misinformation that led [00:43:03] people to vote for Brexit is utterly absurd, as I think everybody knows, [00:43:07] people wanted less migration, control their borders, sovereignty." independence, the [00:43:11] European Union is not a democratic organization, and as we can see now, [00:43:14] 10 years on, it's just not working, mass rights and Spain, [00:43:18] Belgium, France is on the cusp of major sovereign debt crisis, the [00:43:22] EU is divided, it's a declining share the world economy, but what [00:43:26] Burnham's doing, and you got to understand what he's doing here is [00:43:29] something else, this narrative of Russian misinformation [00:43:33] is like catnip to greens, to labour voters, to some [00:43:37] Libdem voters, it's true, I just finish. can i just [00:43:41] i'm just saying [00:43:42] you wouldn't deny that rusformation in the same way that [00:43:46] i would also say labor labor parties involved in spreading a lot of [00:43:49] misinformation about migration in the borders, but one the things i want one [00:43:53] the things one the things i [00:43:55] want to get across is what he's doing is he's rolling the [00:43:59] pitch, he's going on podcasts like rest his politics and then he went on [00:44:03] another prominent left-wing podcast, he's rolling the pitch to [00:44:06] get left-wing voters to unify around him, that's why he's saying [00:44:09] rejoin the. 'eu, that's why he's being pro Gaza, that's why he's softened immigration [00:44:13] restrictions, that's why he's going for proportional representation, so to people on the right of [00:44:17] politics watching this show, you got to see the game here that's going on, he's rolling the [00:44:21] pitch for early election and he's hoping to exploit the [00:44:25] fact that the right is divided right, conservative reform to [00:44:29] much much lesser extent restore everybody needs to understand the game that [00:44:32] Burnham is playing, the only party in this country that is [00:44:36] spreading mass misinformation is the labour government'. [00:44:40] which on [00:44:40] the one hand is saying don't worry about immigration, but on the other hand we're [00:44:43] going to hand out lets to migrants saying please don't hurt people [00:44:46] question, we we had discussion before when as i said we were talking [00:44:50] about you know foreign threats and misinformation, why do you find [00:44:54] it so hard to acknowledge and condemn the [00:44:58] the Russia threat and Russia misinformation? I don't, what I struggle with is the way in which [00:45:02] people on the left for much the last 10 years [00:45:04] have been pedling narratives okay, but you're not you're not doing it, I mean you just said that [00:45:08] the work. information misinformation is coming [00:45:11] from, listen to me, listen to me, listen to me carefully, can put it in the on [00:45:15] lights behind my back, russia spreads misinformation, so does Iran, so [00:45:19] does China, but listen to me, this well, listen to me, [00:45:23] you know what this labor government is doing, it is lecturing people about misinformation, [00:45:27] while not even giving them the information about what is going on in our own country, [00:45:31] now I don't want to see a government do that either, it's telling us, don't worry about this [00:45:34] stuff going on in the channel, and at the same time giving illegal migrants [00:45:38] leat saying please don't rape, attack, murder British people, who's [00:45:42] spreading misinformation in here? I find it absolutely astonishing that you're not [00:45:46] there going, we should clamp down on misinformation in all of its [00:45:49] forms, the labour government should be more transparent, we should be fixing the borders, I [00:45:53] want all governments to be transparent, but I do think, as I said, I just think it's [00:45:57] surprising that again you get, you present with national [00:46:01] security threat and your first instinct [00:46:04] government, we know what this [00:46:05] Russia misinformation narrative is about, it's about discrediting the Brexit [00:46:09] vote. about discrediting patriotism, [00:46:11] you just said 10 seconds ago you said you'd put up in nean lights, it [00:46:15] wasn't a narrative, it was true, well I can hear many of you at home um, you'll be [00:46:19] shooting at your screens, it wasn't the Russians uh that made you do it, it was [00:46:23] things like immigration control that made you do it, John says [00:46:26] Michelle, um, how come you're not talking about the uh live streaming the [00:46:30] death penalty, I after the break, have you seen this plans [00:46:34] to live stream a state sponsored [00:46:37] execution, what do [00:46:39] you think to that? And I do want to talk about that cold palm, I think loads of you getting in touch. I'll see you [00:46:43] a [00:46:43] sec. [00:49:57] hello everyone, welcome back, now you all know that i have very strong opinions on the death [00:50:01] penalty, but let ask you this: do you think there should ever be an [00:50:04] occasion where the uh death penalty is [00:50:08] live streamed for anyone and everyone presumably to be able to [00:50:12] access? this is what's been proposed over in America uh, [00:50:16] there's [00:50:16] one guy, Nidal Hassan, he, you will remember this case, I'm sure it [00:50:20] went back years ago, now 2000... nine he killed multiple [00:50:24] servicemen and one civilian. anyway, they've now decided he [00:50:28] will be executed by firing squad on the 3rd of [00:50:31] December, but publicly streamable. what do you think to [00:50:35] that? well, mean it's it's it's just disgusting isn't it? [00:50:39] mean, but yeah, that's unfortunately the nature of [00:50:42] of of you know the the administration we've got in the [00:50:46] United States at the moment, mean i saw um who's at [00:50:49] Hesgith, you know, [00:50:51] you know, announced. in this and he was actually grinning when he when he announced it, mean it's just [00:50:55] cuuse they feel very strongly um about this in the uh in [00:50:59] America, he was the the perpetrator was a former [00:51:03] army uh major, what um people like Marco Rubio [00:51:07] would say is that they want the reason that they're proposing this is that they want to send a really harsh [00:51:11] message, um you will never do this to our troops [00:51:14] and if you do, this is what's coming your way, yeah, but at the same time the [00:51:18] last time I remember executions being spread across... [00:51:22] media and televised and publicized was when ISIS were doing [00:51:26] all kinds of absolute atrocities in the Middle East, and [00:51:29] I do think that, we we we have to try and hold ourselves [00:51:33] to a higher standard than Barbarians like [00:51:37] the Deathcult ISIS, and if [00:51:41] Americans want to use the death penalty, okay, use [00:51:43] the death penalty, but I'm not sure where the public live [00:51:47] streaming aspect comes into this, I don't particularly support [00:51:50] it, um, I do think that... more broadly, we need to work lot harder to clamp down [00:51:54] on Islamism, get Islamists out of western nations, do what the European [00:51:58] Parliament has suggested this week, which is ban the Muslim brotherhood, there you go, [00:52:02] again ideas that started in Britain are now... influencing the European [00:52:06] Parliament, but I'm not sure live execution executions are the way to go. Even for [00:52:10] me, I think that live streaming it might be a bit much. You've got so many young people [00:52:14] and all the rest of it, you don't want them exposed to extreme violence. When you [00:52:17] expose, particularly young impressionable minds to extreme [00:52:20] violence, you decentratize uh people against all of those [00:52:24] things and I'm not really sure that is the right idea uh to be going down. John says he [00:52:28] absolutely doesn't support it and it should never be turned into [00:52:32] entertainment uh he says. tell you what's [00:52:35] been entertaining many people, that is the debate about this footage, let me show you [00:52:39] very quickly, coal palmer, chelsea player [00:52:42] watch, [00:52:49] please, [00:52:51] please, [00:52:55] so that's a little boy, he's got cold palmer uh, his palm's name on his share, [00:52:59] he encounters cole palma after the game at the weekend, he just wants a bit of [00:53:03] paper signing, you know what, um, I just think Cole Pama, you're an [00:53:06] absolute douch bag, you seem to be forgetting the kind of people who put you [00:53:10] where you are. now, a little boy, you're obviously his hero is [00:53:14] wearing your name for goodness sakes, even hello, just simple smile [00:53:18] would do, would it not? yeah, [00:53:21] so I certainly think some acknowledgement, I mean the one thing I would say is we, we didn't see the first half of [00:53:25] that, I don't, he may well have prior to that have stopped to to to [00:53:28] deliver autographs and and and the problem is in in in that sort of scenario, if he stopped [00:53:32] for somebody then he's going to get 'then he's he's going to get [00:53:36] mobbed, I don't where he was going, I mean, I think, you you you know [00:53:40] what it's like, I mean it is, you know, there's nice things about being famous and [00:53:44] and and sometimes it can be less less [00:53:48] nice, I know, but little kids, I mean [00:53:51] I think you know just smile or a tap on the shoulder or something would [00:53:55] have would hodges and I agree, oh my goodness, [00:53:59] goodness, stop this program now, smile and nod is not too [00:54:03] much to ask for, particularly when kids are inb'. 'well [00:54:05] we got there in the end, Charlotte says Michelle, you've been very unfair on Cole Palma, parents [00:54:09] should teach their child to respect people's privacy and not pester [00:54:13] people, Christine says too many people selling autographs these days, spoils it for [00:54:17] the genuine fans uh, ladies and gents, if you've got a young kid, do [00:54:21] everything that you can to try and prevent them from idolizing these [00:54:25] over-peared uh young men who are just literally kicking [00:54:29] football around, because when I see stuff like that nobody wants to be mobbed, no [00:54:33] one wants to be disturbed all the time, but 'if you don't have it in your soul [00:54:36] even smile and say hello to a little boy that idolizes [00:54:40] you, I pity you, that's all I've got to say, anyway, glad we ended [00:54:44] a note of agreement, thanks chaps, have a good night, I'll see you tomorrow and [00:54:47] night, [00:54:52] expect warm spells with the odd rude [00:54:56] interruption, box boiler sponsors the weather on [00:55:00] GB News, evening, welcome to your latest weather update [00:55:04] from the'. office here on GB News, very mild tonight, also [00:55:08] very windy for some, and the mild blustery weather continues tomorrow, there'll be some [00:55:12] sunshine, but there will also be a spell of heavy rain moving through, [00:55:16] thanks to this little area of low pressure, it's intensifying, developing as it moves [00:55:20] up towards the northwest, that's where the strongest winds will be, getting quite gusty and [00:55:24] windy this evening across Northern Ireland with a spell of heavy rain moving [00:55:27] through here and turning very windy indeed across the highlands of Scotland and [00:55:31] particularly the Western Isles through the early hours, that spell of rainal sweep through. the [00:55:35] central belt and eventually turn up in western parts of Wales. So much of England and Wales [00:55:39] though, just a dank murky drizzly old night, but very mild temperatures [00:55:43] holding up at 14-15 degrees. So it won't be a cold start to Tuesday. [00:55:47] Could be quite a wet start, however, the spell of rain edging its way [00:55:50] through, generally dry over the midlands, much of eastern England, [00:55:54] but there's that area of rain. It could be quite heavy in places, this rain, particularly over [00:55:58] parts of Northwest England. The wet and windy weather sweeps through Northern Ireland, but then we're [00:56:02] left with showers coming in for Tuesday. morning the rain by the [00:56:06] time we get to Russia should be pulling away from the east coast of Scotland so [00:56:10] skies brightening pretty rapidly here, but then more showers packing into [00:56:14] western Scotland a brisk wind, the winds won't be as strong as they will be [00:56:17] overnight, but nevertheless quite noticeable that spell of rain then works its way across [00:56:21] east anglia and the southeast, doesn't bring a huge amount of rain, doesn't [00:56:25] last all that long, and look at that, the afternoon largely sunny across the south, [00:56:29] further north there'll be sunny spells, but there will also be some blustery [00:56:32] gusty showers, still mild. which is in the mid to high [00:56:36] teens, maybe over 20 celsius across the southeast, taking a [00:56:40] little cooler Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, [00:56:43] a little bit fresher at first thing, [00:56:44] but generally dry fine day across much the south, some early morning mist and [00:56:48] fog, but then more wet and very windy weather potentially coming [00:56:52] into the northwest, need to keep an eye on that again elsewhere, generally [00:56:56] dry and bright and still quite mild with temperatures perhaps up to 20 [00:56:59] celsius, expect warm [00:57:02] spells with the odd rude [00:57:05] interruption. box boilers sponsors the weather [00:57:09] on GB [00:57:10] news. [01:00:20] 'hello to you and very very warm welcome to GB News tonight, with me your host [01:00:24] Martin Norby, Brexit is back and also coming up tonight [01:00:28] show, we will end the asylum system [01:00:32] for up to five years, we literally have no idea [01:00:36] who is here, and we frankly can't [01:00:39] afford to take the [01:00:41] risk. Today, Reform UK has announced [01:00:45] its new plan to shut down Britain's broken asylum system, [01:00:49] starting with deporting everyone applying for refugee status [01:00:52] and also sanctioning countries that refuse to take them [01:00:56] back. is this the radical plan Britain needs to secure its broken?
