[00:00:44] today reform UK has announced [00:00:45] its new plan to shut down Britain's broken asylum system, [00:00:49] starting with deporting everyone applying for refugee status [00:00:52] and also sanctioning [00:00:54] of countries of that refuse to take them back. is this the radical plan Britain [00:00:58] needs to secure its broken? borders and [00:01:01] a meanwile open to [00:01:02] a discussion about our relationship with the [00:01:05] of EU of in the longer term. as [00:01:09] the prime minister Andy Burnham today unveiled his plan to drag Britain [00:01:13] back into the European Union's orbit, he has been undermined by his [00:01:17] own minister over claims that Russia interfered in the Brexit [00:01:20] referendum and also tonight. what do you think your parents and grandparents [00:01:24] would make of England today? they'd be [00:01:26] horrified, horrified. [00:01:30] of I'll [00:01:32] of be joined by the investitive journalist Stephen Edington to discuss here's [00:01:36] astonishing new documentary: Britain before mass [00:01:39] of migration, of as told by those have been live long enough to see [00:01:43] just how the [00:01:44] of country [00:01:44] a has changed so drastically and gone down the toilet and finally [00:01:48] tonight. [00:01:50] a Secretary Rubio confirmed that the American position hasn't changed, so [00:01:54] of from our point of view there's been no change to to their stance. The [00:01:57] of invitation is [00:01:58] a there that Donald Trump wants to come here. Yeah, of course, [00:02:00] yeah. As GB News reports live from the [00:02:04] Falkland Islands, exclusive revealing the island of invitation to [00:02:08] President Donald Trump. We can also reveal how residents there have been [00:02:12] subjected to sustained, taunting campaign of [00:02:16] intimidation by Argentinians, which include cyber [00:02:19] attacks, abusive [00:02:20] of phone calls and even Argentinians on the streets haranging [00:02:24] of folklanders. [00:02:24] of That's all [00:02:29] a a come, that's all to come on tonight's action pack show, but first is time for the latest news headlines. Here's Bethany [00:02:34] of Elsi [00:02:36] of Martin, thank you, [00:02:40] good evening, your top stories from the GB News room at two minutes past seven. The prime ministers face backlash [00:03:29] of over his suggestion. Moscow had tried to influence the vote, but [00:03:33] he [00:03:33] of insists he was not trying to question the legitimacy [00:03:36] of the 2016 referendum, and has tried to [00:03:40] a clarify that any Russian interference was not successful in [00:03:44] of swaying the [00:03:44] of outcome. Ukraine's president Vladimir Zelensky says it's increasingly clear Russia [00:04:17] of is of of unwilling to accept a US proposed ceasefire [00:04:20] of on energy strikes. Russia's foreign minister says Ukraine [00:04:33] deserves no rest bite. Previously speaking to [00:05:10] in GB News he was concerned his could repeat [00:05:13] itself. how important is it to you that we [00:05:17] remember all of our troops at the eye troops who risk their [00:05:21] lives on that day? obviously it's [00:05:24] most important, but having said that, [00:05:28] why shall i go different and say why are [00:05:32] certain people in the world today having [00:05:36] lived during this period? why are they trying [00:05:40] to do it all over again? You're up to date for [00:05:44] now, I'll be back with more an [00:05:45] hour. Take the GB [00:05:49] News family with you any device. As long as you have an internet [00:05:52] connection, tune into GB News anywhere on the planet or [00:05:56] beyond. [00:06:05] Thank you Bethany, welcome back to GB News tonight with me Martin Dorby. Here's tonight's [00:06:09] question: does Britain's asylum system need to [00:06:12] completely shut down, all we're asking here is for [00:06:16] normality, all we're asking here is for [00:06:19] normal service to be resumed, and so [00:06:23] yes, we will end the asylum system for up [00:06:27] to five years, and why are we going to do that? because we're [00:06:31] in the most terrible mess as a country, we literally have no [00:06:35] idea who is here, and we frankly [00:06:39] can't afford to take the risk. [00:06:44] Yesterday, reform UK is promising to suspend Britain's asylum system [00:06:48] for five years if it wins power, no new asylum claims [00:06:52] will be processed, asylum tribunals completely suspended, [00:06:56] legal refugeee routes and resettlement schemes completely shuts [00:07:00] down, and perhaps most significantly of all, reform says it will [00:07:03] begin removing people who are already in Britain rather than just [00:07:07] concentrating on those arriving in the future, reminder since [00:07:11] the small boats crisis. began in 2018, more than [00:07:14] 200,000 illegals have made the crossing across the channel [00:07:18] in small boats and now mega thing is, and how many have been actually return to [00:07:22] another country? less than 5%. that's right, [00:07:26] of all the people have arrived on small boats around [00:07:28] 95%, 95%, have never been [00:07:32] returned, and reform UK is pledging to remove all of those [00:07:36] people, where they've been granted asylum or not, and yet [00:07:40] there's more. does that mean? [00:07:44] in the case of Pakistan that we [00:07:46] have to bring in visa bans will do so, if [00:07:50] it means threatening Pakistani national assets in [00:07:54] London, we will do so, if it means introducing flight [00:07:58] bands, we will do [00:08:00] so, yes of [00:08:04] course Britain has faced longstanding problems, stubben problems [00:08:07] indeed with deporting illegal migrants and foreign criminals to [00:08:11] various. is as you can see on your screens now, but reform [00:08:15] solution today, it's also pledged to introduce visa bans, [00:08:19] tariffs, tradeback tarifs and also airline restrictions to [00:08:23] countries like Pakistan and even Afghanistan to pressure them to [00:08:27] take back their nationals, so the deportation of migrants, [00:08:30] whether they've been granted asylum or not a total and complete shutdown [00:08:34] the asylum system itself for five years and also threats to [00:08:38] countries who refuse to take back their garbage, is this the? [00:08:42] as the my Britain's broken immigration system so desperately [00:08:46] needs delight now to be joining the studio in Westminster by [00:08:49] Reform UK's home affair spokesman panel [00:08:52] as tonight well the historian the broadcaster rafe Hadal [00:08:56] and GB News a senior political commentator Nigel [00:08:59] Nelson first to you it's bold it's [00:09:03] brassy and it's out there can you quantify for us how many [00:09:06] people would be deported well we got to deport everyone who's in the [00:09:10] country illegally [00:09:11] and I'm afraid. lot of people, mean it's certainly more than million, you're trying to count the [00:09:15] uncountable, obviously successive governments have gone out their way, try and shield the figure, [00:09:19] could [00:09:20] be lot more [00:09:20] than million, but we've got [00:09:21] to do it, and so this will be, you if Nigel's elect as a prime minister, I'm the home [00:09:25] secretary, we'll embark upon the biggest mass deportation program this country has ever [00:09:29] seen, [00:09:29] and again I stake no joy in saying that, but it is a proportionate and [00:09:32] commensurat response with the fact that the toys and labor have let, as Nigel [00:09:36] said, unheard of number of people about whom we know next to [00:09:40] nothing, and it's worth reiterating some these points. because the're so mind-blowing [00:09:44] you see this stuff, and lot of people, some [00:09:46] of my friends say, oh, this is a conspiracy theory, no, a convicted terrorist from Italy [00:09:49] came to Britain a on, we call it a small [00:09:53] boat, a man came in a small boat and then attempted a mass [00:09:56] casualty terrorist attack and was thwarted by MI5, a man came [00:10:00] over a small boat, threatened to kill, threatened to assassinate [00:10:04] sitting member of parliament, happens to be my friend and the leader of reform UK Nigel frage, [00:10:08] i could go on, an [00:10:09] illegal migrant savagely stab to death uh young [00:10:13] lady as she waited a train station, where was her police escort, Mr. [00:10:17] Burnham, where was her police escort, and so therefore we're now a [00:10:21] situation where despite everything I've just said, despite the fact that... British people [00:10:25] with their warm and generous hearts, they have done more than their [00:10:29] fair share, taken more than their fair share, almost million people have claimed asilum in this country [00:10:33] the last two decades a cost of 32 billion pounds in real [00:10:37] terms, and yet how does Andy Burnam respond? He lays on [00:10:40] police escorts for men invading the country, and somehow has [00:10:44] also convinced himself that what Britain wants is more safe [00:10:48] and legal roots for Afghans to come in, so what we've announced today is very [00:10:51] simple, we've announced we're going to [00:10:53] have to shut down the asylum. I'm sorry, Britain is [00:10:57] full until we've deported everyone who's already in the country illegally [00:11:01] and we've gotten this country back its feet where British people are not being literally left for [00:11:05] dead waiting for ambulances for example go around the country look at how many people are [00:11:08] struggling to get GP appointments do you found out I [00:11:12] was in Dover today there are places in Dover which are hire [00:11:16] which service illegal migrants exclusively who are offering GPS [00:11:20] twice the going rate twice the going [00:11:24] rate to. and give healthcare to people who broke into the country, and I [00:11:28] speak to, I spoke to a man called Arthur who driven buses for 40 years in [00:11:32] Dover, he's got a bad hip, he's been waiting well over year, coming up to two years now on the [00:11:35] NHS for his hip, he come [00:11:37] he can't get a GP appointment, he can't find a dentist that he can afford, and this is how the [00:11:41] country rewards a man who's driven bass for 40 years in that town and has done [00:11:45] the right thing um throughout his life, we've got to put British people [00:11:49] first, we're shutting down the asylum system, I'm as home secretary, I will clear the [00:11:53] asylum backlog, you hear a lot about we're going to clear. the asylum backlog, I'll clear it by [00:11:56] deporting everybody who's in it, simple as that, where to so number [00:12:00] one, back to their home country, that will include countries like Afghanistan, and [00:12:04] before the Guardian and the BBC and good morning Britain starts screaming at [00:12:08] me, as they did when we first said that we would do this, uh, it then [00:12:11] transpires, not only did Kia Starmer then say he was working on return [00:12:15] agreement with Afghanistan of all people, but it's also been [00:12:19] revealed that Germany now routinely deports Afghan nationals back to [00:12:23] Afghanistan using Qatar as [00:12:24] an intermediate. Yerry, we're going to deport them back to countries like Pakistan, again [00:12:27] a BBC Radio 4 interview this morning, they said, yeah, but Mr. [00:12:31] Yusuf, what possible leverage would we have on this country that we're giving billions of [00:12:35] pounds of foreign aid to and granting hundreds of thousands of visas? what possible [00:12:39] leverage uh could we possibly have? it's complete nonsense. we haven't had a prime [00:12:43] minister in number 10 downing street who is willing to fight the corn the British people, [00:12:47] be relentlessly focused on doing what's right for British people, not [00:12:50] foreign nationals, and if we do that, we will start to make huge inr. [00:12:55] into this massive problem that we have, we'll get our country back its feet again. okay [00:12:59] z, thank you very much, stick with us for now, but Nigel Nelson, I'd like to bring you and we clearly [00:13:03] have a broken system, is this the solution? well, it just seems to be [00:13:06] that uh reform uh and the other other [00:13:10] two parties on the right are just trying to trying to be as [00:13:14] extreme as possible, so um restore [00:13:18] came up with this policy back in February, the toris claim that [00:13:22] they've also got it, you had Robert Genrick this morning [00:13:25] saying that - royal marines who return migrants would have [00:13:29] would be able to use lethal force against them, it seems that [00:13:33] that it just gets more and more extreme and and two years ago on GB [00:13:37] News Digel Farage says this is not a political possibility, he said [00:13:41] he wasn't going to go there because it couldn't be done. okay, [00:13:45] so [00:13:45] you you haven't actually addressed any the substantive points that we make, but I want to address the point about [00:13:49] royal marines, I've spoken to lot of royal marines, I was down in Gospel, within [00:13:53] iesight the home of... I've spoken to lots of serving royal [00:13:57] marines and former royal marines, one them one of those interactions is on is on [00:14:00] social media, and they are devastated, they tell me to have to stand idly [00:14:04] by and watch as what they view as their home is invaded by [00:14:08] the dictionary definition the term by men from countries that hate Britain and pose [00:14:12] security threat here, and what I've said, and this was in, this isn't some escalation that we're doing for [00:14:16] social media, this was in the document that I drafted with our policy team and former members of his [00:14:20] majesty's armed forces who helped draft the policy, operation fortress on our [00:14:24] website. what we said was in the event, so [00:14:28] so primarily [00:14:28] it is humanitarian mission, there's almost 200 migrants have died making that [00:14:32] journey, but every single vessel that is unauthorized and illegally trying to get to [00:14:36] oshalls will be intercepted by his majesty's raw marines and will be taken back to [00:14:39] France, however in the event that for example known people [00:14:43] smugglers who are evil people and many them are we have good [00:14:47] intelligence suggesting they are carrying firearms in some cases, gb news has done an [00:14:51] expose about houti rebel remember who came across like that or... [00:14:55] make in sure the he's event [00:14:55] that there are terrorists on those vessels our marines [00:14:59] will be authorized in order to protect innocent [00:15:03] life if they have to to use lethal force and by the way it would be [00:15:06] insane dereliction of duty to not give them that capability [00:15:10] given I want to repeat it there are some very evil men coming [00:15:14] across that English channel if you want to be willfully blind about that that's your [00:15:18] problem well then you you'll need to actually talk to your treasury spokesman got [00:15:21] to that qualification worked out. [00:15:25] Robert Generic say anything that contradicts what I just said, I think with respect, [00:15:29] either you just read slightly hysterical caption above the video, or you yourself [00:15:33] bisunderstood, he didn't qualify, he didn't qualify when it came down to [00:15:36] terrorists or... people smugglers, they would be authorized [00:15:40] to use force, which is our position, but as I said, it is in [00:15:43] very authorized to use, and again, it would be [00:15:47] willfully neglectful, it would put our own boys in danger, [00:15:51] and it would imparal the people on those boats, if our boys were not [00:15:55] able to use lethal force, if they came face to face with the kind of evil we're talking [00:15:59] about, we have confirmed intelligence that they are there, and that those people [00:16:03] pose a direct threat to life, this policy was drafted in conjunction, [00:16:07] fact most the policy was drafted by former senior members of his majesty's [00:16:11] armed forces, it's a credible plan, that's also why it's been endorsed by the only [00:16:15] world leader who can honestly say that he has ended a small boat [00:16:19] illegal migrant crisis which is uh former prime minister of Australia Tony [00:16:22] Aber he's indorse the plan too, well the situation is absolutely different, I mean [00:16:26] Australia is the Australian system or or the Australian [00:16:30] situation is not the same as the English Channel for a [00:16:33] start, but the the [00:16:36] the there are no international wards. over in Calle 150 [00:16:39] miles between Australia and Indonesia, it's it's different [00:16:43] here, because unlike Australia we've imported vast numbers of people who are rapists, [00:16:47] who are murderers, who are gang members, who are extremists, who are [00:16:50] terrorists, you say these are extreme measures, these are extreme times, I think I'm [00:16:54] the only commentator who for about eight or nine years has consistently called for us to leave the [00:16:58] 1951 UN convention on refugees, you want to just disallow it, I [00:17:02] think it's an excellent policy, it's time that people stood up and said and call [00:17:06] things out and said stick having our compassion used and [00:17:10] abused. We don't want to have a standing army of young [00:17:14] fit men in this country ready to mobilize at the drop of a hat. [00:17:18] You know, these people are not asylum seekers. Asylum seekers don't leave [00:17:22] behind their mothers, their daughters, their sisters, their wives behind, [00:17:26] and they're coming from France. Yeah, these are economic migrants, they're going to France, they're not leaving [00:17:29] hell, well you could say France is hell at the moment, but they're not, they they're living [00:17:33] safe country, orivoir, go, back you go, bonnvayage. [00:17:37] but they're not they're not going to cale to go sightsing uh, they're going to [00:17:41] cale specifically to cross the channel to get to Britain, yes, [00:17:45] so from the French point of view, it's not their problem, it's our problem. [00:17:49] okay, gentlemen, we have to [00:17:51] deal with, we cerly put as it might say the channel, [00:17:54] nigel superb, rafe always, thank you very much indeed, [00:17:57] z. now moving on, just moment's [00:18:01] time, open to discussion about our [00:18:05] relationship with the EU in the longer [00:18:10] As Andy Burnham today unveils his plans to drag Britain back into [00:18:14] the EU's orbit, a love letter to Brussels. He has been undermined by [00:18:17] his own minister over claims that Russia interfered in the Brexit [00:18:21] referendum, the biggest Romaniac myth of all is back. That's [00:18:25] next. [00:21:43] here was our prime minister, Andy Burnom early this afternoon, rolling the [00:21:46] pitch for dragging Britain back into his beloved European Union. [00:21:50] "open to discussion about our relationship with the EU [00:21:54] in the longer term. If we are [00:21:57] serious, if we are serious [00:22:01] about promoting growth, controlling [00:22:04] immigration, upholding our values and security, it is [00:22:08] a conversation we must have. [00:22:12] Sticking with the status quo is not good [00:22:15] enough for Britain. This comes after..." [00:22:20] having said this to the left-wing act activist podcast, [00:22:24] rejoin a central, the rest is politics. I [00:22:28] asked the question, coming into Downing Street, well, was there interference in [00:22:32] the 2016 referendum from Russia, and I've had the clear answer that yes, there [00:22:36] was and these things are important now to put [00:22:39] clearly on the record, and I believe, help [00:22:43] voters in Germany and France understand that some of this [00:22:47] politics is instigated. via uh [00:22:51] our enemies, namely uh Russia. Yes, it's back. The [00:22:55] greatest remainian myth of all, you didn't know what you're voting for, because [00:22:58] Vladimir Putin made you do it. However, this just [00:23:02] this morning, Mr. Burnham was contradicted by his own [00:23:05] minister. Did they succeed when it come to the Brexit [00:23:08] referendum? Was that an effective attempt? Well, the [00:23:12] the the security minister spoken about this before and he's been very clear that they've attempted to, um, they [00:23:16] haven't succeeded. [00:23:20] so let's be crystal clear, has Andy Burnam, our prime minister fallen for the [00:23:23] Romaniac's greatest ever conspiracy theory, and that's saying [00:23:27] something that 17.4 million people were duped into [00:23:31] voting for independence by Russia, well as Andy Buren prepares to [00:23:35] roll the pinch for digging up the old Brexit versus remain [00:23:38] arguments. Perhaps we all to remember when he said this six months [00:23:42] ago, if you is that Brexit has been [00:23:45] damaging, but I also believe the last thing we should do... [00:23:50] right now is rerun those arguments, but it is [00:23:54] time, surely isn't it, to bring people back together, to [00:23:57] focus on what we've got in common. i am not proposing that the UK [00:24:01] considers rejoining the EU. I respect the decision that was made at the [00:24:05] referendum, and it's going to undermine everything said, I've said about [00:24:09] strengthening democracy, if we don't respect that [00:24:12] vote. Andy Burnham wouldn't dream of [00:24:16] resurrecting the rejoint campaign, except today he did. [00:24:20] I'm joined now by my panel, the historian [00:24:21] the broadcast of Raif Hadelmancu and GB news is senior political commentator [00:24:25] Nigel Nelson. Rafe in the comments today, a love [00:24:29] letter with red rose betwixt his teeth to Brussil on [00:24:33] November the 20th, we now know there'll be a summit with Ursola Von delay and [00:24:37] four things on the radar, boosting UK growth by 10 [00:24:40] billion pounds with no proof of where that would come from, controlling illegal [00:24:44] immigration like the continent has ever managed to do that, [00:24:48] energy corporation and... a youth [00:24:51] experience scheme, what's not to like? how much time [00:24:55] do you have? how long is this segment? uh, look, well, the first thing we can say, you're not [00:24:59] allowed to say liar on the floor the house of commons, but we're not on the floor the house of [00:25:02] commons, Andy Burnham is liar, when he stood for that campaign [00:25:06] in makerfield the by-election, he said we will not rejoin the [00:25:10] EU, he said Britain does not want to be dragged back [00:25:14] in to this awful process we experience at the time the Brexit [00:25:17] campaign, this is the last thing the British public... there is no evidence [00:25:21] that we're going to have economic growth, for heaven say the British economy is growing [00:25:25] faster than the three biggest economies in Europe, faster than France, [00:25:29] Germany and Italy, are they victims of Brexit? we know full [00:25:32] well that the exchange scheme you have on on migrants for example in [00:25:36] Europe inevitably means that we take more than we give back to that [00:25:40] country, they talk about a youth experience, whatever a youth [00:25:43] experience is the mind boggles, but if you look it invariably the UK is [00:25:47] disadvantaged, four the top 10... universities in the world [00:25:51] are British universities, how many are European? [00:25:54] zero, and of course it's the British tax payer who then would have to pay to [00:25:58] educate foreign students in this country, i'm afraid he's in for [00:26:02] a... awakening, this just goes back to the original 2016 vote, the [00:26:06] disconnect between the elites and the public. They think everyone in the public thinks like [00:26:10] they do. Yes, many people think Brexit was a mistake, but when you poll them and ask [00:26:14] them, go if going back into the EU means joining Shengen, joining [00:26:17] the the euro and not having the rebates, are you in favor, and they [00:26:21] overwhelmingly say no, and three quarters them believe there should be [00:26:25] referendum, and yet you have people like Saddiq Khan and [00:26:29] Emily, Emily, whatever, Thornbery, lady. fuji [00:26:33] saying that they can they can do it without referendum, that's how much contempt they have for the [00:26:36] British voters who voted in the biggest democratic mandate in our [00:26:40] history. Nigelson, the point is this: [00:26:43] today, u-turn that sakier Starmer would be proud [00:26:47] of was perform, Andy Burnan repeatedly said when he was the candidate for Makerfield, when [00:26:51] he was then elected as the MP for Makerfield, he would not go [00:26:55] back to this ground, today he did, that's [00:26:59] hypocrisy, what he said back in Megerfield? you actually [00:27:03] just just showed the clip from there was um we don't reopen the [00:27:07] argument right now, use the word right now, wait until [00:27:10] October, so what we're talking about is that is putting everything on the [00:27:14] table uh in advance of our November the [00:27:18] 20th EU Summit um and I [00:27:22] think Raif was confused in the two things, one is about whether or not we go back into [00:27:25] Europe which I think is separate issue and certainly for the future if we do [00:27:29] it, I don't think we will by the way, what would... talking about on on [00:27:33] November on November the 20th, surrender summit? no, it's it [00:27:37] is actually to try try and make Brexit work [00:27:40] better, so one one example would be that Andy Burna mentioned [00:27:44] today was that um, farmers, anyone selling fresh [00:27:48] food, fishermen uh trying to get the their fish into [00:27:51] Europe, they're facing f 1400 [00:27:55] pounds to for a single shipment, the idea is you get rid of [00:27:59] that, you get rid of some the the uh health certificates 200 quid [00:28:03] they have to pay for that, 16, British businesses stop trading with [00:28:06] Europe because of Brexit, we want to get them back, and that's how you get [00:28:10] economic growth. Ladies and gentlemen, watching this at home, don't fall for any of [00:28:14] this, this is, the amount of uh improvements you can [00:28:18] make without accepting proper subservience to the European Union is [00:28:22] tiny, [00:28:23] you know, there is no way you're going to have major improvements in life if you [00:28:26] don't have the full freedoms of movement and and alignment [00:28:30] and control. [00:28:32] to do with the single market, nothing to do with customs union, the red lines that [00:28:36] Andy Burnom will maintain. um, what is wrong with trying to get [00:28:40] rid of border checks which are are strangling British business? what [00:28:44] was these sorts of changes on for for veterinary, for animals and so forth won't make a [00:28:48] jot of difference in the great scheme of things, what we're seeing [00:28:52] is the prime minister is trying to delegitimize the vote by saying it was down to [00:28:56] russian interference, we've got people like sadiq khan saying you don't need to have referendum we [00:29:00] can just put it down to the to the uh house of commons to decide all of this, this [00:29:04] is deliberate way to basically soften up the British public and make them ready to [00:29:08] go back into the European Union, that's why you having the summit on November the 20th, because [00:29:12] nothing of great consequence will come from that. It's also worth pointing out, I [00:29:16] did some quick checking about the parliamentarians, you recall in [00:29:20] 2016 75% of [00:29:23] parliamentarians voted to remain in the European Union versus [00:29:27] 52% the electorate to voted to leave, it's got worse. Let's get [00:29:31] some scores on the doors. now if we can Danube, there [00:29:34] are around about 133 Brexit [00:29:38] MPs, if you look at the party they are a part of, that's [00:29:42] 20%, but when you remove the tory wets as you might call them, there's [00:29:46] about 31 them, and then when you add on the 10, there are [00:29:49] 10 labour party MPs who actually have any credible back story of [00:29:53] supporting Brexit, Raif Hader Mancu, that takes us down to only [00:29:57] 17% of our elected representatives now [00:30:01] support Brexit. 83% in favor [00:30:05] of re of remain, rejoining, call it what you [00:30:09] want, that's a parliament that's worse than it was in 2016 that [00:30:12] completely is sucking up to Brussels and when we talk about [00:30:16] crisis in democracy, when we talk about the British people feeling that they aren't [00:30:20] represented by their MPs, this is why, [00:30:24] and we saw this time and again in 2016, the disconnect is is [00:30:28] is is wide now, it's wider now than ever before, you would have thought and [00:30:31] hoped. that MPs would have learned the lesson and realized of course [00:30:35] how dangerous [00:30:36] it is to to to disavow and to ignore the wishes the British [00:30:40] people and yet once again they see what we're seeing is another attempt to have [00:30:44] top-down revolution, we that's a story the last 10 years, the top down [00:30:48] revolution and the grassroots spoke up in 2016 and it [00:30:52] looks as if once again they're being dragged back to where they were. Rafael [00:30:55] Maku, accidents, Niger Nelson, thank you very much indeed to you both. now coming up [00:30:59] in just moment's time, I'll be joined by the investive... [00:34:28] welcome back to GB News tonight, with me, your host, Martin Dorby now, [00:34:31] astonishing brand new documentary titled Britain before mass [00:34:35] migration. it details the story of how mass migration changed [00:34:39] Britain and is told by those who remember the country before it [00:34:43] transforms so radically and so rapidly, the filmmaker, [00:34:47] Stephen Egington spoke to those who remember the old days like this [00:34:50] Falklands veteran, so you see these images of um, these [00:34:54] young men on boats coming over every single day, hundreds of men [00:34:58] from Africa and so on, how does that make you feel? very [00:35:01] angry, we could stop them tomorrow if we really had the [00:35:04] guts. do you think back in back in your [00:35:08] day they would have allowed these boats to come over? no, they stopped [00:35:12] them, i think they would have stopped them. [00:35:16] no, that is silly, they can easily stop them. what do you think [00:35:20] your parents and grandparents would make of England today? they'd be [00:35:23] horrified, [00:35:26] horrified. [00:35:31] the film also looks at modern Britain today, including this moment that's gone [00:35:34] completely viral. what do you think of [00:35:37] England? oh, the best, because I [00:35:40] have my heart problem, I have my diabetes, everything is free. [00:35:46] uh, the best when it comes to [00:35:49] benefits, especially your medical, [00:35:53] yeah, because I don't have any problem, they just deliver my, [00:35:56] you know, my maintenance, and it's [00:35:59] free. [00:36:03] now to be joined in Westminster by the creator of that film, Stephen Ejinton as well as my panel [00:36:07] tonight, rafe Hadal Mancu and Nigel Nelson, Steve Edging, [00:36:11] let's speak to you first, you certainly created a huge... [00:36:15] talking point, I watched it with a sense of horror and also [00:36:18] morosity of Britain that's simply being lost. I think [00:36:22] it's absolutely fascinating that the country has changed a very, very short [00:36:26] period of time. in the most dramatic way because of immigration and I [00:36:30] wanted to speak with those who'd grown up a Britain that I don't [00:36:34] know and [00:36:34] the people my age never experienced [00:36:37] so that's why [00:36:37] I spoke to Julian Thompson there who was born in [00:36:40] 1934 and he actually grew up in in imperial [00:36:44] India when Britain had its great empire and he saw and then he came back in [00:36:48] 1945 [00:36:49] and he saw England in Cormware this very safe fun place that he [00:36:53] described and he lived in London from the [00:36:57] 198. is till about 2015, i think, and he even saw London [00:37:00] transform, and I spoke to lots and lots of people who grew up in areas of [00:37:04] London, like another chap called Ron who grew up in Tottenham, [00:37:08] and he hadn't been back to his homeplace for more than 50 years and I actually [00:37:12] took him back to Tottenham and showed them around, and again it was just [00:37:16] fascinating to see the reaction of someone who grew up an [00:37:19] era the V1 rockets the [00:37:22] blitz, of that kind of community spirit, the [00:37:26] homogeneous Britain that we had that was 99.9% [00:37:30] ethnically English, ethnically British, and [00:37:33] today that area of Tottenham that he grew up in is just 22% white [00:37:37] British, and he frankly was horrified by that, so it was a [00:37:41] really interesting thing to speak to the that sort of golden [00:37:44] generation, that great generation born in the 30s, experienced the [00:37:48] war, and how they view the countries change over their [00:37:52] lifetime. now, of course, lot of people would say that immigration [00:37:56] has always been a fabric, part the fabric of London, but [00:37:59] your locals who went back to the places they were born and they [00:38:03] seemed unrecognizable to them, they just talked about the pace [00:38:07] of change, the fierceness of it. Yeah, well I actually got Ron for example [00:38:10] to speak to some the locals in Tottenham today, and you know they [00:38:14] said that they didn't like living in that area, they said that it was full of junkies, they [00:38:18] told him that there was lots of drugs and crime and so on, and people didn't feel safe, this [00:38:22] is including people from a migrant background, we actually spoke to a chap [00:38:26] who was from a af. Caribbean background is born in the 60's in Tottenham and [00:38:30] he said the immigration hadn't been a good thing, he said that the community [00:38:33] values that even he had when in the 60s had completely gone, so it's not [00:38:37] just [00:38:38] you know British white British people who are feeling this, it's also the people who've been [00:38:42] here since the windrush times uh or since the 1960s or second [00:38:46] generation immigrants to experiencing more recent immigration and seeing [00:38:49] their areas change because they came to an England that was very different to what [00:38:53] it is today, it's frankly in many areas not very English. uh at [00:38:57] least ethnically and culturally and that's something you know in vast areas [00:39:01] the country, not just in London but in Leicester, Birmingham, big cities and [00:39:04] increasingly in other areas, I mean even where I grew up in Portsmooth is changing [00:39:08] hugely, um there's been a vast cultural change, and this is something I [00:39:12] wanted to document, superb, so thank you Stephen, stick with us, let's get my [00:39:16] panel in now, first Nigel Nelson, undeniably [00:39:20] London and Britain has changed rapidly, it's [00:39:23] changed radically, do you think it's a problem to document that well? [00:39:27] "it depends how you do it, I mean, of course it's [00:39:30] changed, and um, everywhere everywhere does [00:39:34] change, we don't have polickets, typhoys or typho, [00:39:37] typhos or diptheer anymore, so that must be a [00:39:41] positive mass unemployment the 1930s is a [00:39:45] thing the past, we don't have the threat from [00:39:49] um uh Nazi Germany that that some the generation you spoke [00:39:53] to had to live through, so things changed, the windrush generation [00:39:57] came." over here to rescue our public services after the [00:40:00] war, um, I'm sure that they do f find find [00:40:04] - changes here, not least the fact we didn't give them proper documentation and [00:40:08] tried to send them back to Jamaica, right? It's the pace of change, mass [00:40:11] immigration since the 1990s has been the greatest act of harm [00:40:15] in our, our long island story, far more consequential than fighting the world [00:40:19] wars, and it is the scale of that change, so when I was born in the [00:40:23] 70s, Britan was 95% white British, 20 years later, [00:40:27] 19. It was still 92%, that's just a 3% [00:40:30] decline. In the last 25 years it's declined by around [00:40:33] 15%. Uh, an amazing 20% [00:40:37] of this country is now foreign born, 40% of Londoners are foreign [00:40:41] born. At what point does Britain stop being British? If it's only [00:40:44] 40% white British, is it still British? And how can you expect [00:40:48] immigrants to integrate into a country where the indigenous people are themselves an ethnic [00:40:52] minority? Steve, one thing that I often [00:40:56] torture myself over is this notion that it seems unique that the western [00:40:59] nations and particularly cities must accept [00:41:03] this is a part the the modern world, but we don't accept the same thing for [00:41:07] example in China, there aren't entire cities in [00:41:11] China or Nigeria taking over by people who are wide, [00:41:15] so did the people in your film think there's [00:41:19] hope or do they think the country is over? frankly I felt a lot of despair [00:41:23] and lot of people were telling me, including Julian, that he's glad that he won't be..." [00:41:27] alive to see the future the country and that is very sad thing and I [00:41:31] hope that there is some hope. I'm more hopeful perhaps than Julian, I have to live through [00:41:35] this, my grandchildren and my children and hopefully we'll have deliver you this, so um [00:41:39] yeah, I think it's a... 'It's a very difficult time for lot of people, there's a lot of [00:41:42] despair going around, but I don't think we should be uh full of despair, I think there should be [00:41:46] some hope uh for the future, because as long as there are English people around, [00:41:50] as long as you know um we still have these communities in our culture, [00:41:54] then of course there's hope. Miger Nelson, people are allowed to [00:41:58] be morose and mournful about something they feel has gone, and that's not [00:42:02] racist, it's just loving your country, well but [00:42:05] I mean part the changes to do with the fact that uh we had empire [00:42:09] and then we owe a duty to that empire, which is how, which [00:42:13] is how come so many Indians moved here, so many Pakistanis [00:42:17] moved here, yeah, I [00:42:21] mean, we didn't expect the empire strikes back though, did we? well, I [00:42:25] mean, if you colonize a place and then look what's happened [00:42:29] to Hong Kong, you have the right to be colonized yourself, what was that, they're not [00:42:33] colonizing, that is ridiculous thing to say, there are people who come [00:42:36] here living in Bradford and in Bernley and... [00:42:40] and that that that hasn't happened to their [00:42:41] country when they've seen in the space of one generation the entire transformation their [00:42:45] towns with people who have no, they have no desire to integrate or [00:42:49] assimilate, but simply to replicate here their homeland, you don't object [00:42:52] to to Hong Kong as coming here presumably who have integrated [00:42:56] perfectly in this country, it is the scale of change that is, this is not about [00:43:00] immigration, this is about mass immigration, we've had more immigration in the last [00:43:04] 20 years than the last 2,000 years combined, okay [00:43:07] gentlemen, thank you very much, Steve Edgington. where can people check out your excellent [00:43:11] movie? they can check check out on my substack, stepen edgington [00:43:15] and also on my youtube channel, just type in stepen edgington and you'll find it. and tell people what's the name [00:43:19] the movie to search for? uh, britain before mass migration. steve edgeton, [00:43:23] magnificent, thank you for coming in tonight, i'm so glad that you came in, brave nigel [00:43:26] superb as ever, thank you gentlemen. now coming up in just moment's time, [00:43:30] as GB News reports live from the Falklands amist ever growing threats from [00:43:34] invasion from Argentina, now man, Mark white is exclusively revealed [00:43:38] that Falklanders have invited President Trump to visit their beloved Islands. [00:47:44] welcome back to juby news tonight, with me your host Martin Dorby, now it's time for GB News in the [00:47:48] Falklands. [00:47:56] and the news this evening, the Falkland Island is there extended [00:47:59] invitation to the US president Donald Trump to visit the [00:48:03] archipelago and see for himself how proudly British they [00:48:06] are. In recent weeks, Donald Trump has seemed less than supportive of Britain's [00:48:10] claim over the Falklands, but an exclusive development, GB [00:48:14] News Mark White has revealed the Falkland islanders are facing [00:48:17] sustained campaign of intimidation by Argentinians, which [00:48:21] includes cyber. attacks and abuse and abusive phone calls in light the [00:48:25] increased tensions between Britain and Argentina. A GB news is [00:48:29] home and security [00:48:30] to Mark Wild has more. We're almost [00:48:34] 8,000 miles from the UK, distance that [00:48:38] of anything has made the islanders here even more [00:48:41] patriotic, proud to be British. They'll [00:48:45] tell you here, if you cut them they'll bleed red, white [00:48:49] and blue. So understandably there was a great deal of [00:48:53] heart here, when President Trump seemed less [00:48:57] than supportive of Britain in the war of words with [00:48:59] Argentina over the island sovereignty. For many, that's [00:49:03] surprising, given how proud Donald Trump is of [00:49:07] his British roots, and the fact his own mother was born [00:49:11] in the outer Hebredies, an island chain so [00:49:14] similar to the rugged beauty the [00:49:17] Falklands. Numerous people here have told me the [00:49:21] US president should come see for himself how [00:49:24] proudly British they are, even the acting chair [00:49:28] the Falkland's legislative assembly said the [00:49:32] president would be welcome here. Of course, yeah, we'd welcome anyone, [00:49:36] and um, no, I think um, we have lot in common with America, [00:49:39] you know, in terms of our self-determination and wanting to be able [00:49:42] to decide your own future, so I think we got a lot common in that way. Um, a couple [00:49:45] comments be made by the president, but um, Secretary Rubio [00:49:49] confirmed that the American position hasn't changed, so... 'from our point of view [00:49:53] there's been no change to to their stance. the invitation is there then if Donald Trump [00:49:57] wants to come here? yeah, of course, yeah. there's little doubt that part of [00:50:01] Donald Trump's lack of enthusiasm for Britain's claim over these [00:50:05] islands is probably linked to his anger over the UK's [00:50:09] perceived lack of support over the war in [00:50:12] Iran. that's certainly what Falkland islander Mike [00:50:15] Subers believes. the odd comment from him about whether he may or [00:50:19] may not support the Argentine position I think is um, well, can [00:50:23] can be can be taken as as just what it is, it's a, it's a [00:50:27] attempt to put some pressure on the UK government to do other things. we know [00:50:31] donald trump is a great admirer of lady thatcher, an islanders [00:50:35] hope that he'll be guided by word she wrote in [00:50:38] 1982. they are few in number, but they have the right [00:50:42] to live in peace, she said, to choose their own way of life and [00:50:46] to determine their own allegiance. those i've [00:50:50] spoken to say donald trump would be more than welcome [00:50:53] here, keen golfer, he might even be brave enough [00:50:57] to battle the winds around some the islands [00:51:00] courses, but the presidential motorcade, the [00:51:04] beast and at least 20 other vehicles might be [00:51:08] slightly more than these local roads could cope with. [00:51:12] mark white, gb news in the [00:51:14] falkland, magnificent package, [00:51:18] let's now speak with the man himself, gb news is home and security to mark white he join [00:51:22] us live from the Falklands, Mark, beautiful packages and also [00:51:26] the locals might need Donald Trump, because I also hear there are gangs of [00:51:29] Argentinians with flags and shirts rampaging around the streets, [00:51:33] intimidating the [00:51:34] locals. Well, [00:51:37] certainly there is intimidation and harassment, there's no [00:51:41] doubts about that. Um, I wouldn't say that the hooligans are [00:51:44] necessarily running up [00:51:46] and up and down the streets, but there have been incidents [00:51:50] recently where flag wave. Argentinians [00:51:53] have come up down the seafront here, some [00:51:57] others wearing the Argentinian football top [00:52:01] wouldn't be particularly of concern anywhere else. [00:52:05] in the world, but here there are sensitivities, and the [00:52:09] islanders say, look, we respect the right the [00:52:12] Argentinians to come here, especially those who want to [00:52:16] visit the Argentinian war grave, [00:52:20] um, but you know, they have to be respectful, [00:52:24] and they just feel that there is not that respect, and top of [00:52:27] that, what there is, is a concerted [00:52:30] campaign of intimidation, whereby ' [00:52:35] cyber attacks are taking place uh these review sites [00:52:39] for businesses around the Falklands regularly get [00:52:42] attacked and spammed with people posting all kinds [00:52:46] of horrible comments uh about the islands [00:52:49] and about the fact that the British should leave uh [00:52:53] there's also direct phone calls that happened to [00:52:57] businesses one Chilean woman that I was speaking to working [00:53:01] here she was sworn out called a treator for working. [00:53:05] with the islanders um and you know just [00:53:09] generally uh the the kind of uh attempts to get [00:53:12] in on people's social media accounts uh [00:53:16] with a view to sending out spam messages [00:53:20] and anti-falklands or anti-british [00:53:23] messages out on that it's been pretty [00:53:26] relentless they are fed up [00:53:28] of it um because it's so [00:53:32] long lived this campaign and what we've ' now [00:53:35] martin is - height intention with [00:53:39] Javier Mile which is just actually ramped it up [00:53:43] again in terms the attention uh that these [00:53:47] people are giving [00:53:48] the the Falklands magnificent thank you very much indeed my [00:53:52] live from the folklos I love that line if you cut them they bleed red [00:53:56] white and blue thank you very much Mark of course state the nation is up [00:54:00] next hoping interview like vision as ever is to Jacob what's on your [00:54:04] menu we be talking about this extraordinary claim by [00:54:08] the prime minister Andy Burnham that we've all been taken over by Russian [00:54:11] Bods and that we only got Brexit because of Russia, which seems [00:54:15] to be completely bonkers and the sort of thing desperate people say when they've lost [00:54:19] an election, but it's the classic socialist view that [00:54:23] people vote against the socialist have false consciousness that he's stupid to [00:54:27] know what they're doing, they had to be persuaded to do it by somebody else, when [00:54:31] we already know from the security ministers and others that there was [00:54:35] was no successful attempt by the Russians to change [00:54:39] our elections, magnificent, the greatest romaniac, myth of all, [00:54:43] putin made us do it, that's next here on GB News with [00:54:45] Jacob, [00:54:52] today clouds overhead, totals [00:54:56] and within, box solar sponsors the weather [00:55:00] on GB News, evening, welcome to your latest weather update from the [00:55:04] Met office here on GB news, very mild tonight, also [00:55:07] very windy for some, and the mild blustery weather continues tomorrow, there'll be some [00:55:11] sunshine, but there will also be a spell of heavy rain moving through, [00:55:15] thanks to this little area of low pressure, it's intensifying, developing as it moves [00:55:19] up towards the northwest, that's where the strongest winds will be, getting quite gusty and [00:55:23] windy this evening across Northern Ireland, with a spell of heavy rain moving [00:55:27] through here, and turning very windy indeed across the highlands of Scotland and [00:55:30] particularly the western is through the early hours, that spell of rainal sweet through the central but... [00:55:35] and eventually turn up in western parts of Wales, so much of England and Wales, though, [00:55:38] just a dank, murky, drizzly all night, but very mild temperatures hauling [00:55:42] up at 14- 15 degrees, so it won't be a cold start to Tuesday, could be quite [00:55:46] a wet start, however, the spell of rain edging its way through, [00:55:50] generally dry over the midlands, much of eastern England, but there's that [00:55:54] area of rain, it could be quite heavy in places [00:55:57] this rain, particularly over parts of northwest England, the wet and windy weather sweeps through [00:56:00] Northern Ireland, but then we're left with showers coming in for Tuesday morning, the... [00:56:05] rain by the time we get to Russia should be pulling away from the east coast of [00:56:08] Scotland so skies brightening pretty rapidly here, but then more [00:56:12] showers packing into western Scotland a brisk wind, the winds won't be as [00:56:16] strong as they will be overnight, but nevertheless quite noticeable that spell of rain then works [00:56:20] its way across east anglia and the southeast, doesn't bring a huge amount of [00:56:24] rain, doesn't last all that long, and look at that, the afternoon largely sunny across the [00:56:27] south, further north, there'll be sunny spells, but there will also be some [00:56:31] blustery gusty showers, still mild temperatures in the [00:56:35] mids to high teens, maybe over 20 celsius across the [00:56:38] southeast, turning a little cooler Tuesday night into Wednesday [00:56:42] morning, a little bit fresh at first thing, but generally dry fine day across much [00:56:46] the south, some early morning mist and fog, but then more wet and very [00:56:50] windy weather potentially coming into the northwest, need to keep an eye on [00:56:53] that, again elsewhere generally dry and bright and still quite mild [00:56:57] with temperatures perhaps up to 20 celsius.
