[00:00:00] respect and this sovereign defense [00:00:02] arrangement and the idea is, I think it is a high [00:00:06] time that this region must [00:00:10] this is not such a majority find an independent architecture [00:00:13] to bring peace and security in this region, from far from [00:00:16] areas the time has proved, it is probably difficult [00:00:20] if not impossible. [00:00:24] seven, eight thousand people So let me emphasize that we will [00:00:27] obviously, we must not be [00:00:30] you know, ignoring what's happening in the [00:00:34] world, the times are very challenging. [00:00:37] The situations need full attention of [00:00:41] all the countries in the region, particularly our region, and we have seen [00:00:45] that now the energy supply chain disruption. We have seen the prices. The common man is [00:00:49] suffering. Again, the government [00:00:52] say, a jirga, whatever could do for the two-wheelers, three-wheelers subsidy, remove all the [00:00:55] taxes, give a refund through through tokens. Almost [00:00:59] 10% 10 million people are benefiting. So if you take [00:01:02] average size of family five, so [00:01:05] 50 million individuals in Pakistan are [00:01:08] benefiting. Ladies and [00:01:11] gentlemen, [00:01:14] let me also emphasize that the counter-terrorism must not be used as a [00:01:17] pretext to suppress, as you said, the legitimate [00:01:20] struggle, and despite our continuing sacrifices, let [00:01:24] me [00:01:27] make it very clear that there should be no doubt that [00:01:31] our unflinching resolve to [00:01:34] escalating it. So fight terrorism will ever get weaker as a [00:01:37] nation. Excuse me. Our people, armed [00:01:40] forces, police and intelligence services continue to confront [00:01:44] this menace with extraordinary courage very frequently, [00:01:48] almost on a daily basis. We [00:01:51] will continue, Inshallah. This is all because the citizens [00:01:55] deserve safety and our country deserves [00:01:59] peace. Excellencies and gentlemen, [00:02:02] Pakistan believes in a peaceful neighborhood. We [00:02:05] desire a region where trade flows from Central Asian [00:02:09] states to the Arabian Sea, where [00:02:12] roads, railway and energy links connect our [00:02:16] people and bring cross-border prosperity. But our [00:02:19] pursuit of peace cannot come at the expense of our people's [00:02:23] security. [00:02:25] Good neighborliness is a [00:02:27] against terrorism two-way obligation. It cannot be [00:02:31] great commitment, with great courage, [00:02:43] fault is [00:03:03] because you want to see everything in all its [00:03:06] glory. [00:03:11] Because you've always had an eye for [00:03:13] goal. [00:03:17] Because you want to make a great first [00:03:19] impression. [00:03:22] and how much for each of Because we focus every innovation on you. Because we can help you [00:03:27] Look, the thing is find your perfect style. Because of all these things, there's only one [00:03:30] choice, but it's opticians. [00:03:34] and transferring power Hello, hello, lead, delicious taste so unique, so [00:03:37] light, simply irresistible. Hello. [00:03:42] two years, and especially Hey. Hi there, hard to resist, isn't it? [00:03:46] Mild and light, come on, take a [00:03:49] aggression started cheeky bite. That's delicious. Deliciously different. [00:03:54] typed, Hi, this is Jane, not very sure, your garage [00:03:54] is that door sensor has set off the alarm. [00:03:57] Yeah, I've just seen someone try and break in. Yes, my colleagues are on the phone with the police [00:04:00] now. I don't know what to do. I mean, just stay where you are. [00:04:04] Right here with you till the police. Nothing was damaged or [00:04:06] taken. Be safer. Be [00:04:10] sure, very [00:04:12] sure. [00:04:15] Come on. [00:04:18] Cover, short-term car insurance from one hour, download the app [00:04:21] now. Do you have something in earthier [00:04:25] palette? And what would you call this [00:04:28] shade? Uh? [00:04:30] Guinea pig. I'm thinking of something a bit more Venetian [00:04:33] afternoon. Potent [00:04:36] caramel. Bronzed beaver. Now [00:04:39] that's interesting. [00:04:43] Well, look at [00:04:46] you. When it has to be just [00:04:49] so Sofology, Sofology. [00:04:53] Finding clutter everywhere you look? [00:04:57] Sell fashion and more on Vinted with no fees. [00:05:01] Don't use it, sell [00:06:04] In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you, viewers. [00:06:07] The fear that was expressed in the jirga for the past two [00:06:11] or three weeks has finally [00:06:15] materialized. Governor's rule and emergency have been imposed [00:06:19] in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. And before [00:06:22] proceeding further, let me show you [00:06:26] what the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said two weeks [00:06:29] ago when we spoke to him in the jirga. [00:06:33] What was that? Well, [00:06:36] Governor Sahib, if I have to interview you next week, [00:06:40] then inflation [00:06:42] is in the right place, effect reserves are in the right place, policy rate is in the [00:06:55] right place. So the first rate that we did was actually [00:06:58] in April of this year, which was a private placement of [00:07:02] 750 million dollars. And then we accessed the [00:07:05] panda bond market, which was credit enhanced [00:07:09] and it was a long time coming from. [00:07:12] because it is the second largest, second deepest capital market in the world. [00:07:16] And so it was a very successful issue. Do you [00:07:19] think it's being successful given higher global yields? [00:07:22] Yeah, so as you know, about three weeks back we did a [00:07:26] three billion dollar Euro bond. The [00:07:30] overall appetite of that was actually the order book was twice of that, [00:07:34] and we were very pleased with the length and breadth. Of course, there were Asian [00:07:37] investors, there were Middle East investors, but the bulk of it was sort of [00:07:41] European and US investors. And it's after a hiatus, after a gap for four [00:07:45] years, that Pakistan accessed international capital markets. Now, [00:07:48] going forward, we are not in a rush in this [00:07:52] fiscal year, but as part of a medium-term strategy, we have given [00:07:56] mandates for Islamic Sukuks. We are given [00:07:59] mandates for also for the first time [00:08:03] dollar dollar settled but rupee [00:08:06] denominated bonds. A lot of reverse inquiries coming [00:08:09] through on that as well. And then going forward, we are going to [00:08:13] issue RFPs for the remaining panda bond because NAFM approval is [00:08:17] for billion dollars. We printed 250. And for [00:08:20] the first time, we are also going to see uh if we [00:08:23] can go for tokenization of our [00:08:26] existing [00:08:28] Euro bonds. So not in a rush. Does this mean this comes potentially next year, [00:08:32] or what sort of timeline are you looking at, [00:08:35] these? From our perspective, it's going to be determined [00:08:38] by pricing, tenor and market conditions. [00:08:43] Um, so the [00:08:46] way I was sort of explaining to you a bit earlier as well [00:08:49] that um this year, you know, it's not a [00:08:53] question of that we absolutely need to cover our external [00:08:57] financing gap. But over the next two to three years, what we do [00:09:01] want to do is to see if some of our short-term external [00:09:04] debt can be refinanced into longer tenors, [00:09:08] longer maturities. So Pakistan is a country that does not [00:09:11] have to go into this... [00:09:43] meaning there is an agenda, and no personal or [00:09:47] political agenda can be given priority. [00:09:50] At this time, Pakistan [00:09:54] is facing such [00:09:58] an external aggression, a foreign [00:10:02] aggression. Their [00:10:06] anti-Pakistan agenda, [00:10:09] or their narrative [00:10:12] against Pakistan, is [00:10:16] very clear. [00:10:19] And in this, [00:10:22] Pakistan's [00:10:25] sworn enemy, [00:10:28] India, is involved. [00:10:31] The land of Afghanistan and the people [00:10:34] of Afghanistan are being used [00:10:37] in this aggression, in this war of terrorism [00:10:41] that has been imposed on Pakistan. [00:10:45] We have tried to make them understand [00:10:48] many times, to engage [00:10:52] in dialogue with them, [00:10:56] and to reach an understanding. [00:11:00] We have told them [00:11:02] that Afghanistan should not allow its land to be used [00:11:05] for terrorism against Pakistan. [00:11:08] And [00:11:10] we have held negotiations with them, [00:11:14] or as they [00:11:17] we have sat down and talked with them [00:11:21] at the last stage. [00:11:23] And not only Pakistan, [00:11:27] but also Pakistan's friendly [00:11:30] and Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia, [00:11:34] Qatar, Turkey, [00:11:37] and to some extent, [00:11:40] China, are involved. [00:11:43] But they did not agree to anything, [00:11:47] and after [00:11:50] imposing this war [00:11:54] of terrorism, they have started [00:11:59] the effects of this are that approximately 12 [00:12:03] districts are such [00:12:07] that some [00:12:10] of them were ex-FATA, [00:12:13] and besides that, Lakki Marwat, [00:12:16] Karak, and Dera Ismail [00:12:20] Khan, where we are not saying that [00:12:24] every person in KP says that in the daytime, the government [00:12:28] has writ, and at night, the terrorists [00:12:32] have their government there, [00:12:35] or the terrorists control [00:12:39] everything. Now, the Pakistani [00:12:42] armed forces and Pakistan's law enforcement [00:12:46] agencies have fought [00:12:49] this war [00:12:56] and patriotism. And in this, [00:13:00] but sir, what was the fault of PTI in dealing with this war [00:13:03] on terror? What is the fault of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government? Their [00:13:08] that [00:13:11] this war against terrorism [00:13:14] that the armed forces and law enforcement agencies [00:13:18] have sacrificed for, [00:13:21] and the intelligence-based operations against terrorists, [00:13:55] the police do not even have their own police stations. There [00:13:58] is no existence of CTD. And then the provincial government [00:14:02] has not only in these [00:14:07] for the last one and a half years, when [00:14:11] this [00:14:14] with India and Afghanistan, [00:14:18] when this phase two started, [00:14:22] and now I [00:14:25] cannot wage a conventional war with Pakistan, and the other is out of the question. So [00:14:29] now they have changed their strategy and started [00:14:32] this phase two. So since [00:14:36] then, almost April-May [00:14:38] 2025, when [00:14:41] it started increasing, [00:14:45] and training camps in Afghanistan [00:14:49] were fully established, [00:14:52] and the training of terrorists and then [00:14:56] terrorist activities started entering Pakistan, [00:14:59] the provincial government, the PTI provincial government, [00:15:03] has never supported [00:15:06] our national stance against these terrorists. [00:15:09] They have never stood with it. [00:15:12] Instead, they have always been saying [00:15:16] that they are against this operation. [00:15:19] But the Chief Minister himself doesn't fight, his police [00:15:23] fight. So his police were sacrificing their lives, but the police were [00:15:27] sacrificing their lives in such a way that they had neither [00:15:31] weapons nor [00:15:35] safe buildings. And when they were told [00:15:38] for this purpose to spend the funds [00:15:42] that were being given to them by the center on this, [00:15:46] there was no positive [00:15:49] response. And now the Chief Minister [00:15:53] and before him, they say [00:15:57] that this is not their job. They say that [00:16:00] establishing peace and fighting against terrorism [00:16:03] is not their job. They say that they did not become Chief Minister [00:16:08] for this purpose. I was elected [00:16:11] Chief [00:16:13] Minister [00:16:16] for love. And he says that his [00:16:19] agenda is only the release [00:16:22] of Imran Khan, so he has nothing to do with this. Viewers, let's take [00:16:26] a short break. We will be back to continue our discussion with Rana [00:16:30] Sanaullah Sahib. Stay with [00:16:31] us. [00:16:49] The ambassador of Pakistan, the voice of your emotions, [00:17:04] far from home, the voice of the homeland and your identity. [00:18:49] Welcome back to the Jirga. Sir, PTI is the most [00:18:53] popular party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. [00:18:56] This government was formed with a clear majority. What do you expect [00:19:00] from its removal? [00:19:04] that democracy is [00:19:08] a means of gaining power [00:19:11] peacefully. And in this, the acquisition [00:19:15] of power and then the transfer of power happens peacefully. [00:19:18] And the importance of the opposition [00:19:21] is kept, [00:19:25] and the basic reason for following [00:19:28] these principles [00:19:32] it is a means [00:19:34] of acquiring power and transferring [00:19:38] power. But when people say that [00:19:42] look, there is a two-thirds majority, [00:19:45] a 90% majority, tell me, the population of KP [00:19:49] is over four crore. The number of voters [00:19:52] is two crore 13 lakh. Out [00:19:56] of these, how many voted in this election, as a result [00:20:00] of which this assembly is said to have two-thirds and [00:20:03] this is a total of 82 lakh. [00:20:07] 82 lakh votes were cast. [00:20:10] 41%. Rana Sahib, similarly, if the Punjab government [00:20:14] is doing well, [00:20:17] no, I said the same thing earlier. It's the same [00:20:21] everywhere. That's why no democratically elected [00:20:24] person can claim [00:20:28] that now because 100% of the people are with me, [00:20:32] whatever I do, I am not accountable to anyone. Now, 82 lakh votes [00:20:36] were cast, out of which 36 lakh went [00:20:39] to PTI, and 51 [00:20:42] lakh went to their opponents, which includes Jamaat-e-Islami, [00:20:46] which includes JUI, which is almost 10 lakh. [00:20:50] In this, PML-N got six lakh votes, PPP got votes, [00:20:53] independent candidates got almost 10 lakh votes. [00:20:56] So the matter is that [00:21:00] that by presenting this majority, [00:21:04] you will say that they can do whatever they want, and no one [00:21:07] will question them, because they have achieved a majority. [00:21:11] This is how majority is. Jamaat-e-Islami, [00:21:14] ANP, the most affected [00:21:18] by terrorism, [00:21:26] are opposing on the basis [00:21:29] that a misconception has been spread [00:21:32] and is being spread [00:21:35] another operation will start, [00:21:39] and people will be displaced again, [00:21:43] rendered homeless, and a great [00:21:46] calamity will befall the people. Nothing of that sort will happen. [00:22:12] And as a result, Inshallah, the area [00:22:15] that will be cleared, whether it is done district-wise [00:22:19] or five by five. [00:22:50] that you, in the war of terrorism and aggression [00:22:54] that is imposed on Pakistan, should clearly [00:22:57] and unequivocally state [00:23:01] that you, Mr. Chief Minister, [00:23:04] and your leadership, will hold a press conference [00:23:08] and also sign a written agreement that you [00:23:12] will fully stand [00:23:15] by Pakistan's position on this policy. [00:23:18] And after [00:23:21] that, you should call off the long march. [00:23:25] Leave those things. That day was [00:23:29] probably the night between Saturday [00:23:32] and Sunday. It was Sunday. So they said that on Tuesday, [00:23:36] your meetings will start. Your lawyers probably [00:23:40] have a time on Tuesday, they will meet. After that, on Thursday, [00:23:43] the family will meet. The matter has only [00:23:47] gone wrong from here. Don't come [00:23:50] out and politically use [00:23:54] it. He said, "Okay, after that, he [00:23:58] said for treatment that his treatment is not this, [00:24:01] all this is before Maulana's intervention, right? [00:24:05] I say that even after Maulana, he remained here. [00:24:09] When Maulana came, he was also told [00:24:13] that Maulana, we had this conversation with him. [00:24:17] He agreed to this. We agreed to all [00:24:20] his meetings and treatment. Then we also agreed [00:24:24] with him that we will form a political committee, [00:24:28] or we will get this committee confirmed [00:24:31] by the Prime Minister. Whatever small issues you have, [00:24:35] whether it's about meetings or treatment, we will sit [00:24:39] in this committee and resolve it. The draft was prepared, [00:24:44] and then read out. Mohsin Naqvi Sahib [00:24:47] went and said that he would discuss it with Sahib and Prime Minister [00:24:51] Sahib and get their approval. When he came [00:24:54] back, he brought up four more points, saying that no, [00:24:58] write this here, write that there. We [00:25:01] somehow accommodated that as well. Then he said [00:25:05] that this operation, for which you are asking [00:25:09] us to fully support, [00:25:12] write in it that this operation will only happen if [00:25:16] we agree to it, otherwise not. What happened with Maulana yesterday? [00:25:20] The same thing was discussed with him that in the war [00:25:23] against terrorism, the provincial government [00:25:27] should play its role. They should call [00:25:30] off the long march. Their demands, [00:25:33] whether it's about treatment or meetings, [00:25:37] all these things were agreed upon with them. [00:25:41] So let's come back to that and take the conversation forward. Did you not [00:25:45] increase the threat of a long march even more? Now people [00:25:49] will be more charged, more angry. So don't [00:25:53] you think that they will now attack [00:25:56] Islamabad with more intensity? When they started from Lakki Marwat, [00:26:00] their chowk. [00:26:08] So what was their number there? You should find out from your [00:26:11] sources. I am telling you with full confidence [00:26:14] that it was six to eight thousand. I am even exaggerating. [00:26:18] After that, wherever they came, [00:26:21] they held a rally. The same six, seven, six, [00:26:27] leave after that, and only [00:26:31] 500 to a thousand people are left with them. [00:26:33] And their number has not increased anywhere beyond [00:26:37] that. And if they bring [00:26:40] such a long march, then I think [00:26:43] that they will unnecessarily [00:26:47] do injustice to their workers, [00:26:51] and people will have to face such a legal action. Before [00:26:54] this, on November 26, 2024, [00:26:58] they did not even ask about any of their workers later. [00:27:02] Thank you very much, Mr. Rana Sanaullah Khan Sahib, for giving [00:27:06] us your time. Viewers, with the hope that you will continue [00:27:09] to share your feedback about the program, I bid farewell [00:27:13] from today's jirga. Allah Hafiz.
