[00:00:23] A journalist was also [00:00:33] "Now, in the first part, it will become clear today at 4 PM, [00:00:36] what our situation will be, we may see a diesel price approaching 100 liras, [00:00:40] there is not much optimistic news for pensioners [00:00:43] or for the minimum wage regarding January, [00:00:47] you increase the minimum wage by 25%, it remains below the hunger line, it slightly exceeds [00:00:51] 35 thousand, you know the hunger line approached [00:00:54] 37,000, when you look at it this way, oil [00:00:58] prices are increasing by 30% in the world." In our country, it is increasing by 400%, [00:01:02] it is not very possible to understand this in 3 years, add exchange rate, add tax, add profit, [00:01:09] do not really say that your [00:01:13] tax has decreased. We buy the most expensive car and the most expensive mobile [00:01:16] phone in the world, we pay the most expensive rent, [00:01:20] you look at the housing problem, rent prices, really, I don't know if [00:01:24] a 15-thousand-unit rental housing project [00:01:27] will solve our problem. [00:01:41] "I don't want to mention his name, I'm ashamed," he says, "He gave a statement chewing gum," [00:01:45] he says, he's talking about Ahmet Davutoğlu's statement, [00:01:48] then who shook hands with whom, who [00:01:52] greeted whom, who attended, who couldn't attend, the discussions [00:01:55] are growing, other discussions are emerging from there, such as [00:01:58] a villa for Öcalan. Today, the İmralı delegation [00:02:01] is going to the island to visit [00:02:04] Öcalan. The Den Party delegation is going to İmralı today. [00:02:08] So, when you look at it, Kozinoğlu's grave is opened 15 [00:02:11] years later. The grave opening process [00:02:14] is being done. After that, other discussions, other statements [00:02:18] emerge. Now we will discuss all of these. We will discuss it like this: [00:02:21] in the first part, Ekrem İmamoğlu's political ban [00:02:25] and 2 years, one month prison sentence will go to the appeals court. [00:02:28] Let's see what the result will be, will other [00:02:32] results emerge from there? For example, municipalities, the last municipalities, the AK [00:02:36] Party won 90 municipalities from many parties, but approximately [00:02:39] 35 of them are metropolitan municipalities, [00:02:43] a large majority, 31 [00:02:46] are CHP. In Istanbul alone, there are 12 [00:02:49] districts and it continues. We have discussed all these, [00:02:53] now let's see what other [00:02:55] topics we have. Now, Kozinoğlu, [00:03:00] Kaşif Kozinoğlu, in 2011, [00:03:04] even on November 12, 2011, while he was in prison [00:03:07] in Silivri, our guests, Mr. İbrahim and [00:03:10] our other guests, also told us that [00:03:14] he was tracking and working on [00:03:17] the fight against FETO in Central Asia. [00:03:21] It is claimed, it is claimed. Then [00:03:24] in the Ergenekon case, he goes to prison, [00:03:28] he is arrested. Then, in November 2011, he pressed [00:03:31] the emergency button, but [00:03:35] there are allegations that the sound of the emergency button [00:03:38] was suppressed by a guard connected to FETO, [00:03:42] and that there was a late intervention. The family says [00:03:46] it was a suspicious death. [00:03:49] They have been saying this for years, and 15 years later, his grave [00:03:53] is opened again to re-evaluate [00:03:56] this death, whether it was a heart attack or another reason. [00:04:00] Did his mother die? But something like this happens: [00:04:03] the grave was opened on Saturday, the procedure was done. Now, [00:04:06] with new evidence, [00:04:09] they will try to shed light on the matter and reach a definitive conclusion. [00:04:13] Akın Gürlek, the Minister of Justice, also made a statement in this regard. But [00:04:16] it goes back to the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi in 2011. Two days before [00:04:20] November 12, that is, before Kaşif Kozinoğlu's [00:04:23] death, in the series, a prisoner named Kazım [00:04:27] Kaşifoğlu [00:04:32] is killed by someone nicknamed [00:04:34] Kara by injecting air [00:04:38] into his arm with a syringe. The [00:04:42] dialogues and [00:04:44] the process there are also very [00:04:48] similar. Two days later, Kaşif Kozinoğlu died on the way [00:04:51] while being taken to Silivri State Hospital. First in the film, [00:04:54] then first in the series, then in real [00:04:57] life. And Kazım Kaşifoğlu [00:05:00] and Kaşif Kozinoğlu, the names are also [00:05:04] placed like that in the series. The death of the [00:05:07] MIT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu [00:05:10] is now... [00:05:16] Aysan was called to give a statement, the screenwriters [00:05:18] of this series, these are what we experienced 15-16 years later. [00:05:21] Then there are detentions, there are arrests, Selahattin [00:05:25] Günday was [00:05:28] arrested, his [00:05:30] arrest also took place on Friday. [00:05:36] arrested due to the news he made at that time. [00:05:39] There is no footage because it is in the written press. He works, there is no [00:05:43] camera, and I obtained [00:05:46] the information from various sources, he says, not directly from me, I mean, [00:05:50] he says that at that time, other news was also published in other newspapers, [00:05:54] he was arrested, and a discussion flared up [00:05:57] there too, no one understood that either, [00:06:00] so such a process was experienced 15 years later. [00:06:04] Now, I don't know Selahattin, Selahattin Günday, [00:06:07] he is [00:06:09] an opponent, [00:06:11] that is, let's say left-wing media, he is a person who woke up [00:06:14] in the left-wing media [00:06:16] who has [00:06:18] no connection with FETO, on the contrary, he is stated to be an enemy. [00:06:22] But now one thing [00:06:25] catches my attention, I saw it from Hüseyin Ersöz's post, [00:06:29] now I'm quoting from the posts, I'm quoting [00:06:32] from what's written, they say [00:06:34] that the incident is 2011, [00:06:38] uh-huh, arrest and [00:06:41] arrest. I mean, the date this crime is said to have occurred [00:06:44] is 2026, yes, 15 years pass, [00:06:48] uh-huh, it should be statute of limitations. The footage [00:06:52] you mentioned, Kaşif Kozinoğlu entering the [00:06:55] Beşiktaş courthouse, what is that? Let's talk about what happened before. [00:06:58] Kaşif Kozinoğlu leaves the military. He joins MIT during Hakan Fidan's [00:07:02] term as MIT head, and MIT sends him to Central [00:07:05] Asia during Hakan Fidan's term. The claim related to [00:07:09] monitoring in Central Asia is [00:07:12] that Kaşif Kozinoğlu was following FETO schools and FETO [00:07:15] structures in Central Asia. [00:07:18] Then Zekeriya Öz calls him for a talk, [00:07:21] calls him to give a statement, he comes, while he is called for a talk [00:07:25] to give a statement, boom, arrest. You go to the courthouse for a talk, arrest. [00:07:28] This weekend, something else interesting happens, [00:07:32] suddenly, what happens? [00:07:36] For Zekeriya Öz, 8 years passed, statute of limitations came. Zekeriya [00:07:39] Öz and the other Chechen ones, [00:07:42] there are other FETOist prosecutors, they said statute of limitations. [00:07:46] Oh my God, now you say [00:07:50] there is no 15-year statute of limitations for the journalist, [00:07:53] you said statute of limitations for Zekeriya Öz. The prosecutor's office objected, [00:07:57] when it gained a lot of public attention, when it gained public attention, [00:08:01] when there was a reaction, they cancelled [00:08:04] it. The prosecutor's office objected, they cancelled it. Now let's come to [00:08:08] Selahattin Günday. What did Selahattin Günday shoot? [00:08:11] March. March 2011. [00:08:14] Now, they didn't take the date the footage was shot [00:08:18] as a basis. If they did, March 2026, 15 years [00:08:21] would have passed. The date the footage was shot was not [00:08:25] taken as a basis. The date Kaşif Kozinoğlu died was taken [00:08:28] as a basis. My friend, if [00:08:32] I committed a crime, let's say, the date [00:08:35] I committed the crime is March 2011. No, our [00:08:38] judiciary said it's not like that, they took the date he died as a basis. [00:08:44] "There is a difference between the death of Kaşif Kozu and the date the footage was shot, the footage you are accusing him of. [00:08:48] No, they said it's not like that. [00:08:51] Two, they say, now [00:08:54] the prosecutor's office gave the IHA footage, [00:08:57] IHA, Ihlas News Agency, in the footage, [00:09:01] Selahattin Günday, the name is not Demirören, it's Doğan News [00:09:04] Agency. There are three things [00:09:08] here, one of them is the prosecutor's office." [00:09:12] They give the top, Selahattin is in DHA, Doğan News [00:09:15] Agency, uh-huh, and even more interestingly, [00:09:19] the first one to give the footage was Cihan News Agency. Yes, [00:09:22] it's a different one, the first one to give the footage was Cihan News Agency. My [00:09:26] friend, how is it [00:09:28] that instead of March 2011, you don't take [00:09:32] March 2011, which you said was the date the footage was shot, [00:09:35] as a basis? When do you take it? You take [00:09:38] the date Kaşif Kozunoğlu died as a basis. This way, you remove [00:09:43] the 15-year statute of limitations. The general regulation [00:09:46] regarding MIT was made in 2014. [00:09:49] In 2014, that is, 3 years later, [00:09:53] you apply the regulation made 3 years later to an event that happened 3 years ago. [00:09:57] For example, let's say, let's say, [00:10:00] it was forbidden for white cars [00:10:02] to be on the road. Well, in 2025, [00:10:06] you wouldn't be able to arrest someone who drove a white car in 2025, [00:10:10] even if you removed white cars from traffic now, [00:10:12] because at that time, white cars were allowed. So why [00:10:16] would you arrest them? Now, the MIT law [00:10:19] was regulated in 2014. [00:10:22] Uh-huh. The event [00:10:26] you attribute to Selahattin Günday [00:10:29] is 2011. Plus, [00:10:32] I repeat, you're not using March 2011, [00:10:35] you're using the date he died, November 2011. [00:10:38] Two, you gave [00:10:40] IHA, you're giving the first IHA footage, the man says [00:10:44] he was in DHA, plus you're saying that the first footage [00:10:48] was shot by Cihan anyway. At that time, Cihan News Agency even [00:10:51] boasted about shooting this footage. [00:10:54] Of course, but you arrested [00:10:57] Selahattin Günday. Now come to Ekrem İmamoğlu's [00:11:00] case, come on, tell me. He gave two acquittals. [00:11:03] The appeals court said, his statement was not taken. You call him to take the defendant's statement. [00:11:07] So the defendant was acquitted again. Then the judge changes, [00:11:10] you call him. You give a sentence, you give a political ban. [00:11:14] What kind of situation have we come to, what are we experiencing? [00:11:17] Now, of course, when [00:11:20] Kozinoğlu first [00:11:24] faced this death, we were also journalists and we were following [00:11:27] it. Kozinoğlu served for 34 years, 17 of which were in MIT, so he has a very long service [00:11:31] period, a state duty, and before that, he was in the Special Forces Command, he also worked with Hakan Fidan for a period. [00:11:35] We followed that too. Now I'm also following the discussion closely, but I can't [00:11:38] figure out, I mean, a lot of information comes to us, what I can't figure out is [00:11:41] why now and what they are aiming for, what [00:11:45] they want to do, this is very vague and not at all clear. [00:11:49] 17 years, [00:11:52] approximately the last [00:11:55] 10 [00:11:59] years he worked with Hakan [00:12:02] Fidan. He was in MIT for 17 years, and his own [00:12:05] personnel died in such a way. It was controversial even then, [00:12:09] when he died, his family brought this issue [00:12:13] to the agenda. From the day he died, it was a controversial [00:12:16] issue, his death. We already know the situation after Ergenekon. [00:12:19] Yes, but MIT at that time, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, [00:12:23] did not make a statement at that time. No [00:12:26] information was given about this. In fact, after July 15, this did not come to the agenda, [00:12:30] it was not brought to the agenda before the statute of limitations expired. After the conspiracy, [00:12:33] yes, the Ergenekon issue became very controversial. [00:12:37] It came to the agenda then, it didn't, it wasn't pursued, but now strangely, [00:12:40] by mixing everything up, without fully understanding what is what, [00:12:44] a mess is put forward, and we have to [00:12:48] sift through it. It's not just the Kozinoğlu case, [00:12:52] several cases are constantly brought to the agenda [00:12:55] in a similar way, debated, and [00:12:58] something is shaped around it. I think [00:13:02] we will see this issue more clearly in a few months. That is, [00:13:05] this is not a great thing, it's not [00:13:09] a "clean hands" operation or an exoneration regarding what the judiciary [00:13:12] experienced at that time, because those names [00:13:15] were there, many stood out then, nothing is being done about that, not all [00:13:19] of them are FETO, it's as if all the evils of that period [00:13:23] will now be attributed to FETO, whose existence or non-existence is not debated, [00:13:26] and a serious exoneration will take place from there, [00:13:30] it seems to me. That's why the government [00:13:33] at that time was the same government, that is, the currently ongoing [00:13:36] government was also in power at that time. Some names were in office, [00:13:40] at the head of institutions, the same names were there. In fact, there are ministers [00:13:43] today who were in different institutions at that time, [00:13:46] but instead of going into those matters, something else is being done. From [00:13:49] that perspective, several different questions need to be asked. That is, not just [00:13:53] how Kozinoğlu died, [00:13:57] why he died, whether he was killed or not, but perhaps [00:14:00] who initiated the case, yes, I mean, now [00:14:04] why did it start, how is it being conducted, we need to increase the questions [00:14:08] about this a bit, at least an account [00:14:10] named Esmar, an account using this name, [00:14:14] made it. For years, the family [00:14:16] has presented much more serious allegations [00:14:20] with documents, with their lawyers. [00:14:23] It is very important for us [00:14:38] to know, but I am worried [00:14:42] that we will not understand, we will not learn. That is, [00:14:45] we will be killed, or it will be transferred to some people. That is, [00:14:48] they might have done it, or perhaps they did, but why [00:14:52] it was protected until now and covered up. [00:14:57] I think it will be covered up. That is, while they are showing us something, [00:15:00] on the other hand, they are actually [00:15:03] covering it up. Why did you fall into such [00:15:07] a thing? I look at all the cases, [00:15:10] the things that happened in Tunceli, the Uğur Mumcu case, etc., Gülüstan [00:15:13] Doku, 6 waves of operations were carried out. On the one hand, [00:15:17] they are giving up on what they can give up on, creating an image of clean hands, [00:15:20] etc. We don't get much result there either. But it shows. [00:15:23] The [00:15:37] detentions are also made in relation to that. [00:15:40] I think that the upcoming period [00:15:44] will again be [00:15:47] functional. That is, there is a search for an enemy, etc., [00:15:51] FETO, etc., will be a part of politics. I think [00:15:54] it will be set up before us as a living entity in these cases. [00:15:57] That is, it has a political goal. If it were otherwise, [00:16:01] we would really be talking about something else today. I mean, this case is not just [00:16:04] the Kozinoğlu matter. There, it was also done by [00:16:07] a FETO member, and Samanyolu TV was also making similar [00:16:10] series at that time. And we were following Samanyolu's [00:16:14] Kurtlar Vadisi to see who would be targeted, what kind [00:16:18] of thing it would be. Can you tell us a bit about it? Two days before the series, such [00:16:21] a scene, a character named Kazım Kaşifoğlu [00:16:24] is killed in prison. Two days later, [00:16:27] Kaşif Kozinoğlu, a very similar figure. [00:16:31] There was Yalçın Küçük in a series, there was a Yalçın Küçük figure, and [00:16:35] there were situations where he was arrested. [00:16:37] You would learn about it from the series, etc. There is the situation in Syria, for example. [00:16:41] Yes, it's very clear that there was an intelligence connection, or [00:16:45] if the Fethullah Gülen Community, FETO community, was so [00:16:48] strong there at that time, it seems like the writers of the script [00:16:51] had such an exchange of ideas, or a piece from the police. [00:16:54] That is, even these names in the series, yes, [00:16:58] when you list many events that happened in the series one after another, [00:17:02] it fills a page, you can fill a page. [00:17:05] The fact that it was shown, and then a sudden death [00:17:09] actually occurred, the character Kazım Kaşifoğlu died [00:17:12] in the series, so there was a very clear target, they were using similar [00:17:15] names, there were detentions, arrests, [00:17:18] operations, but of course, a death and such [00:17:22] a murder case occurring and being [00:17:25] filmed afterwards was [00:17:28] very interesting. This issue was also debated [00:17:32] at that time, but the story [00:17:35] is that at that time, the current government didn't care much. [00:17:38] It didn't allow this to be debated, on the contrary, there was something [00:17:41] designed to cover this discussion, [00:17:44] yes, to close this discussion. Come on, you were [00:17:48] the prosecutor of the case, that's how Erdoğan expressed it, right? [00:17:51] He says he was the prosecutor of the Ergenekon case, [00:17:55] but July 15 happened. Why didn't you do these things [00:17:58] after July 15, and why now? Now, [00:18:01] I think 10 years after [00:18:03] the coup attempt, [00:18:06] these places need to be debated a bit, and we need to look at it from here, [00:18:09] what is being tried to be done through the Ministry of Justice, we need to look at everything [00:18:13] that happens in the judiciary a bit totally. It's as if there is a political [00:18:17] thing, a framework [00:18:20] has been drawn, İmamoğlu is also within this, [00:18:24] these latest cases are also somewhat dragging us towards a total place. I have [00:18:28] a feeling inside, or I interpret what I see that way. That's why I don't [00:18:32] really see a "clean hands" operation or [00:18:35] perpetrators from here. Yes, such [00:18:39] files are specially selected. There are dozens of unsolved murders. [00:18:43] Every Saturday, [00:18:46] the mothers come out there. If we're going to look, those are also unsolved murders, let's look at those. But [00:18:50] very specially selected, [00:18:53] things that can also be PR are selected and directed somewhere. For example, [00:18:57] the last journalist arrested is strange, but [00:19:01] we had experienced this every time before, we are experiencing similar [00:19:05] things again. That is, at the same time, an academician [00:19:09] was being arrested and Veli Küçük was being arrested [00:19:12] in the same case. We can see that we have experienced [00:19:16] similarities in the past. Now, for example, I cannot understand some [00:19:19] things. Really, [00:19:23] I have a problem with establishing logical connections [00:19:27] with what society is experiencing right now, it's clear, it's normal. [00:19:31] I have a problem, a logical problem. For example, I think of myself [00:19:34] as a normal citizen. But sometimes I think, I must [00:19:37] not be normal. For example, what comes to my mind is the [00:19:41] Ahbap case. Now what are they doing? [00:19:45] They are questioning those who praised Haluk [00:19:48] Levent, those who wrote praising words about him, [00:19:52] they are taking them in, etc., etc. Now I say, [00:19:55] my friend, did you question [00:19:58] those who gave permission to Ahbap to collect money in 2017? [00:20:02] Did you question those who were supposed to supervise [00:20:05] Ahbap from 2017 until now? [00:20:07] Now, if you had supervised Ahbap, if you had done [00:20:11] your supervision duty properly and told the public that this man is a trickster, [00:20:15] a swindler, and if you had cancelled his [00:20:18] permission to collect money, then, [00:20:22] then if there was someone praising him, [00:20:25] you could blame him, or if you had noticed this before. Now what happened? [00:20:28] You even had Emine Erdoğan give an award [00:20:32] to Ahbap, Haluk Levent, the award given by the Ministry of Culture, [00:20:36] Emine Erdoğan. [00:20:40] It is actually Mrs. Emine Erdoğan who is put in a difficult situation there. [00:20:44] Emine Erdoğan is put in a difficult situation. Now, [00:20:46] you are not doing anything to those who gave permission and [00:20:50] those who should have supervised. There is nothing in sight. [00:20:53] You are questioning those who praised Ahbap [00:20:56] after the earthquake, saying you did its PR. I turn [00:21:00] back, you say [00:21:02] in the Ekrem İmamoğlu IBB [00:21:04] case, [00:21:07] that there is 170 billion liras of corruption. [00:21:10] You haven't been able to find a single kuruş [00:21:13] of this money. A single kuruş. This is 170 billion, this [00:21:17] money is not a small amount. [00:21:20] "You dug up Ekrem İmamoğlu's father's house, here and there, you found potatoes [00:21:24] and onions, you didn't find money, you found potatoes and onions. [00:21:27] This time, you turn around and say, [00:21:31] 'They smuggled this money abroad [00:21:34] with Murat Gül İbrahimoğlu's private jet.' [00:21:38] Okay, not just once, [00:21:41] I'll continue, let's say they smuggled it [00:21:45] 50 times. Okay, [00:21:47] any citizen leaving the country will not be allowed [00:21:57] to leave Turkey and will not be allowed [00:21:59] to enter the country they go to. [00:22:01] So if you took this money and went to England [00:22:05] or Germany, they would say, 'What is this money?' and arrest you [00:22:08] there. Now, when you say [00:22:12] this argument, what will you say then? You have to [00:22:15] have done something to the customs officers, civil [00:22:18] aviation, and police at customs if you are saying this. [00:22:22] It means that if the customs officers, [00:22:25] the police, the customs officers, and [00:22:28] civil aviation allowed Murat Gül [00:22:31] İbrahimoğlu to put millions of dollars in his plane and smuggle it out of Turkey, [00:22:35] then those people are guilty. [00:22:38] Did you turn a blind eye, or did you conduct an operation, or did you contact [00:22:41] the other country, or did the other country, that's the second leg. [00:22:45] I'm asking about the first leg. Prosecutor, did you conduct [00:22:48] an operation against the police at customs, customs officers, civil [00:22:51] aviation, saying, 'How did you turn a blind eye [00:22:55] to this man smuggling money?' No, there is nothing. [00:22:58] But you come to me [00:23:01] and tell the public that Muratgül İbrahimoğlu smuggled 400 million dollars. [00:23:04] Someone named Abdülkadir Selvi also writes a column about this. [00:23:08] I am surprised. [00:23:12] I turn to society. [00:23:15] Now in the Selahattin Günday, Kaşif Kozunoğlu [00:23:18] case. Let Kaşif Kozunoğlu [00:23:21] be investigated, he really needs to be questioned [00:23:24] as you said. Well, those who have not investigated [00:23:27] this for 15 years, [00:23:29] those who have not asked [00:23:31] this, whoever has not [00:23:35] taken any action on this suspicion, let's say it happened, [00:23:39] let's not say it happened. Let's say that until July 15, [00:23:42] the FETO members you placed were still influential. [00:23:46] Well, whoever didn't do this after July 15, all the [00:23:50] public officials, all the blame is now put [00:23:53] on Selahattin [00:23:54] Günday. [00:23:57] I can't understand, professor, my brain is not working. Was there an arrest? [00:24:01] Yes, I think in those, was it a guard? [00:24:04] One of them? Okay, [00:24:07] there are things like that, but where are the institutions that should [00:24:10] have really pursued this? Why didn't those institutions [00:24:13] pursue it? Anyway, the screenwriter gave a statement, [00:24:16] he was called to testify. Meanwhile, Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office [00:24:20] objected to the decision of non-prosecution given for FETO fugitives, former prosecutors [00:24:23] Zekeriya Öz, Cihan Kansız, and Mehmet Yüzgeç, on the grounds that [00:24:27] the statute of limitations had expired. Bakırköy Chief Public [00:24:30] Prosecutor's Office is objecting, and the objection is being reviewed by the Istanbul Anatolian [00:24:34] 26th High Criminal Court. The [00:24:36] 11th High Criminal Court [00:24:39] decided to send [00:24:42] the file back, meaning the non-prosecution part [00:24:46] is lifted. The non-prosecution [00:24:49] decision is not entered into that process, [00:24:52] so a statute of limitations will not be applied. [00:24:55] The process continues, but they have been fugitives for how many years? [00:24:59] These are the prosecutors who were once rolled out the red carpet. [00:25:02] You cannot prevent this just with this decision. [00:25:06] Sooner or later, a statute of limitations process is currently underway. Have they attached [00:25:09] another file to it? You need to find something else. [00:25:12] That is, this is a crime against the people, against humanity, [00:25:16] there is no statute of limitations. You need to open another case [00:25:20] of a different kind. Otherwise, sooner or later, legally, the concept of statute of limitations [00:25:23] exists and is in effect. It's about how [00:25:27] you see it and what kind of application you will make. [00:25:31] Otherwise, Zekeriya Öz also has a case, [00:25:34] and as long as he is not caught and no new file is opened, [00:25:38] it will enter the statute of limitations after a certain stage. [00:25:41] Uh-huh. By the way, you mentioned Gülüstan Doku, a new wave [00:25:45] occurred in that investigation, the 6th wave [00:25:48] operation. A simultaneous operation in 7 provinces targeting a suspect, [00:25:52] but in this operation, there are also police officers who are currently on duty [00:25:55] and who have served before. That is, among the names to be detained [00:25:59] are police officers, retired ones, those who have served before, [00:26:03] and those who are currently on duty. Now, while watching [00:26:06] all these developments, Nagihan Alçı, [00:26:10] the MHP leader, Chairman Devlet [00:26:12] Bahçeli and Mr. Bahçeli conveyed the notes of his [00:26:15] meeting. In that meeting, [00:26:19] MHP leader Bahçeli stated that a [00:26:22] house was built for Öcalan on Imralı Island, with a garden in front, offering humane [00:26:26] living conditions and a comfortable place. [00:26:30] He conveyed that the house [00:26:33] could be lived in in a way that suits the normal flow of life, but [00:26:37] Öcalan did not move into this house because [00:26:40] he asked "why me?". Nagihan Alçı said he wants status. [00:26:44] This issue of [00:26:48] peace and the peace process was [00:26:51] brought up by MHP leader Mr. Bahçeli, about giving a status to Öcalan [00:26:54] and letting him lead this process with this status. [00:26:57] In fact, it was brought up by MHP leader Mr. Bahçeli. In fact, [00:27:01] again, a group [00:27:10] made a statement and said that administrative buildings are being constructed there, and those buildings are meant, [00:27:14] this is not the construction of a special house, a villa, a livable place, [00:27:18] he said. However, [00:27:21] of course, the discussion grew and grew, [00:27:24] and this topic was at the center of the discussion this [00:27:28] weekend. People, of course, made comparisons. [00:27:31] This villa, new house, house with a garden [00:27:35] became quite a hot topic. How did you view those discussions? [00:27:38] In fact, the government [00:27:41] is happy to carry out the process with Öcalan, [00:27:44] only the public is not happy, and it is struggling to carry out [00:27:48] both at the same time. That is, the people [00:27:52] are not convinced about the relationship with Öcalan, but the government also knows [00:27:55] that if we continue this relationship with Öcalan, [00:27:59] we will solve the issue more easily, it is stated. The critical thing here, I think, [00:28:02] is that the house. There are how many prisoners there? I think there are 4 or 5 [00:28:06] prisoners. It's a huge island. How many administrative buildings [00:28:10] will you build, or what is the need for so many administrative buildings? Probably [00:28:14] for Öcalan to receive guests and chat, because [00:28:18] what is expected with this status is [00:28:21] the opening of dialogue, the increase of visits, [00:28:25] and the removal of obstacles [00:28:27] in this regard. The upcoming process, if it does not get stuck, [00:28:31] if there are no very interesting things in Syria, will go in this direction, meaning Öcalan [00:28:34] will be given the de facto authority to manage the process, [00:28:38] even if he is not officially given such a status. [00:28:41] There are even talks like, a new party will be established in March, [00:28:45] and this party will be a political party whose framework [00:28:48] is outlined by Öcalan, or even [00:28:52] who will be the managers. There are discussions that it will be a political party. [00:28:55] Why is there a need for such a party? Because a party that will [00:28:59] carry out the new process. So, DEM, [00:29:15] will continue as Turkey's party or the peace process's party. [00:29:19] Öcalan's minutes, what [00:29:22] he wrote on February 28, 2025, [00:29:25] etc., are somewhat close to the framework [00:29:28] that Bahçeli and Erdoğan drew on the Middle East equation. [00:29:32] As "that idea gets closer, they [00:29:34] want to carry out this issue with Öcalan. [00:29:38] But, of course, if such a dialogue is to take place, Öcalan also needs [00:29:41] to be a little comfortable, meaning his [00:29:44] conditions need to improve. This house issue is also a bit like that, but he hasn't moved in. He wants status, [00:29:47] sir. This is what [00:29:51] we talked about after the last minutes. [00:29:54] In the law, the things that will be corrected under certain headings [00:29:58] are, for Öcalan, especially the issue of [00:30:01] harmony, the issue of persuasion." To give Öcalan a role, [00:30:04] there will be such a status. I don't know if it will be written in [00:30:08] the book or on paper, or if it will become a law, [00:30:12] but I think this status will be given de facto, because [00:30:15] otherwise it will be difficult to carry out the process with Öcalan. [00:30:19] That is, people will come and go, talk, [00:30:23] create an agenda, set the agenda, [00:30:26] persuade society. If you don't want to do this with Demirtaş or [00:30:30] with such figures, then it's difficult. So in the process of a Turkey without terror for Kurdish [00:39:10] elections, this is normal, and people of course, [00:39:14] those who say let the terror end, [00:39:17] let the weapons fall silent, let there be peace, here [00:39:21] it's a bit like this, but you [00:39:24] have to experience such "small" problems, [00:39:28] yes, without giving anything, it's very difficult to [00:39:31] get everything. Also, we need [00:39:34] to see that Erdoğan is making a cost-benefit analysis here. [00:39:38] The regime [00:39:41] comes to this conclusion: Look, for a year and a half, two years, [00:39:44] since October 1st, right? It's been two years since October 1st. [00:39:47] Kurdish politics moved away from the opposition, it became more neutral, [00:39:50] and even at times, it came to a point where it established closer [00:39:54] relations with the government. As this develops [00:39:58] in the Middle East, it is further strengthened. [00:40:01] In the upcoming election, roughly speaking, we might even [00:40:04] see an independent Kurdish politics that is not on the opposition front. [00:40:08] If they can detach as many voters as possible from there, [00:40:11] it looks like a gain. The same thing applies to the 4-5% segment within the CHP. [00:40:15] "If he can separate them from the opposition, [00:40:18] it also looks like a gain. Erdoğan already thinks, I have 40% [00:40:21] in my pocket, [00:40:23] how much more I add to it [00:40:25] increases my chances of being elected. [00:40:28] These calculations are being made. So, this whole process is actually [00:40:31] being done for the government to remain in the Erdoğan-Bahçeli [00:40:34] duo once again. And such a groundwork, [00:40:38] building a house for him and discussing it a bit [00:40:41] is not a big problem, or at least [00:40:45] there is a new party in the process of a terror-free Turkey, which you mentioned, [00:40:48] the establishment of a new party. [00:40:51] This name is also suitable for the process [00:40:55] or such claims, such news, such expectations. [00:41:14] The warning process and the coordinator of politicization, Öcalan [00:41:17] probably says "democratic society and republic". The party is called "republic movement," [00:41:21] he says in the minutes, at least he stated it that way. [00:41:25] He also mentioned the name of the new party [00:41:29] and said that this new republic will be established, [00:41:32] and we will be one of its main pillars, one of its main columns, as much as [00:41:35] we read in the minutes. He had said that we will be a main [00:41:39] column as much as Bahçeli's MHP, and these were discussed [00:41:42] at a table. So, the house being a bit comfortable, [00:41:46] they need to sort that out [00:41:50] or they will sort it out. The story [00:41:52] there, I think, is about status, and the house is perhaps [00:41:56] the sensational part. The main thing [00:41:59] is how much Öcalan will get involved, [00:42:02] how effective he will be, and as a result, will [00:42:05] a National Security Council approve that the weapons are laid down [00:42:08] and the organization is completely disbanded? [00:42:19] Yes, because the implementation of the framework law will [00:42:23] be after approval. There is an objection there, I think, [00:42:26] today. Even in "Yeni Yaşam" (New Life), [00:42:30] which is a media organ close to Kurdish politics, there is an objection [00:42:33] to the weapons being laid down and the NSC giving all authority around Erdoğan, [00:42:37] meaning the National Security Council, but in the end, Erdoğan's [00:42:40] signature, this kind of narrowing is also objected to. [00:42:43] These things are not progressing, but I think [00:42:47] the relationship will continue until the election. [00:42:50] So, it will not be like in the first peace [00:42:53] process of 28, breaking up the table like in Dolmabahçe. [00:42:57] On the contrary, I think the relationship will continue, [00:43:00] a new era [00:43:03] has begun where the new constitution is being discussed, and it will continue. That relationship [00:43:07] will not be broken, but the DEM Party also [00:43:10] says that peace does not come from just one [00:43:13] direction. On the one hand, you see these trials, [00:43:16] you see the decisions, you see the arrests. On the other hand, [00:43:19] you see the difficulties people face, and on the other hand, when this news [00:43:22] comes, people ask if this is peace. [00:43:25] It wouldn't be right, of course. Peace without democracy, [00:43:28] that is, I don't know if the Kurdish issue would be resolved. The PKK issue [00:43:32] might also be resolved. Yes, it doesn't convince, especially the Kurds living in big cities [00:43:36] and Turks or other identities. [00:43:48] It would disturb There is such an image. [00:43:52] Özgür Özel also said, "if it were us, we would congratulate him in Rize, [00:43:56] wish him success." So, anyway, [00:44:00] he and his parents, his parents also wore [00:44:03] new party badges. The transition took place as of yesterday. [00:44:07] Generally, since we don't often see different transitions, [00:44:10] it was noteworthy. Of course, everyone first thought [00:44:14] he would join the AK Party, and no one was surprised. Then he said, "I'm starting a new path, [00:44:18] I'm joining a new party," and may nothing happen to him. [00:44:21] He made a statement. Hopefully, also, the incident [00:44:25] in Burdur is very interesting, isn't it? Very interesting. [00:44:28] Professor Adem Korkmaz said, "I have been under pressure and anxiety [00:44:31] for a year, I want close protection." He says, [00:44:35] "the situation is very serious." He says he is being threatened. [00:44:38] Who is threatening [00:44:40] him? Burdur Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan. [00:44:44] What's the issue? Digital water meters. [00:44:46] Yes. The issue is whether we should [00:44:50] switch or not. Professor Adem Korkmaz went to Ankara. [00:44:53] The governor prevented the switch and said, "I'll take you." "Did you say that?" [00:44:57] "Did you say that to the governor?" He says he didn't deny it. [00:45:01] He says, "I am being threatened." A governor-MP dispute, [00:45:04] so aren't water meters [00:45:08] installed through the municipality? Why is the governor [00:45:11] taking this issue so seriously? As a civil administrator, [00:45:15] probably yes, but this really shows that elected officials [00:45:19] no longer have any value, both in the judiciary [00:45:22] and at the palace. They have no value. [00:45:26] It's about being close to the palace or ministers. Today, [00:45:30] I read a few days ago, one of the biggest complaints [00:45:34] of AK Party deputies is not being able to reach ministers, [00:45:37] meaning not being able to see ministers in parliament and express their problems. [00:45:41] This is not a complaint from an opposition party. But there is an instruction from the President [00:45:45] to go door-to-door. MPs will go door-to-door, not ministers. [00:45:48] I think MPs cannot go door-to-door either. [00:45:51] So, in Turkey today, it is not that easy [00:45:54] to go door-to-door as an AK Party member. It's really not [00:45:58] easy. I would [00:46:01] recommend a few doors to Erdoğan, because there are so many problems. [00:46:05] Every time you open a door, you have to face that [00:46:08] problem. I haven't seen any AK Party members [00:46:11] going door-to-door, even in places where they are strongest. So, it seems that even [00:46:15] digital water meters are a problem. Do you pay money for digital water meters, [00:46:18] or during the change, I guess a certain amount of [00:46:22] money comes out of the citizen's pocket, and as an MP, the citizen [00:46:26] applies to the MP, probably to solve this, [00:46:29] and the MP ends up having a fight with the governor. [00:46:33] Yes. In fact, the threats and tension are going so far as to include [00:46:37] a request for close protection. This kind of incident happened, [00:46:41] and we witnessed it. Of course, there is one more [00:46:44] topic, we don't have much time left, but I'd like to ask. We have [00:46:48] two minutes, anyway, let's start, then we'll continue in [00:46:51] this time slot. This participation house, [00:46:54] Pusula Finance Holding, we will also discuss other economic topics, [00:46:58] we will discuss fund matters. A statement [00:47:00] came from Mansur Yavaş: "There is torment in separation, [00:47:04] and mercy in unity. What happens at the top [00:47:07] does not concern us much. We are happy to make our decisions unanimously," [00:47:11] he said. I don't know [00:47:13] how you reacted. Here, too, people are divided [00:47:17] into two, so to speak. One part says that Mansur Yavaş [00:47:20] will no longer be a presidential candidate. [00:47:23] They express the opinion that he will not be. [00:47:27] One side says he became a stronger presidential candidate. [00:47:31] He took a photo side by side with Erdoğan. Another part says [00:47:34] "I will join the AK Party." Mr. Yavaş cannot end that discussion. Therefore, [00:47:37] with such a chain [00:47:41] situation, "what happens at the top doesn't concern us, we are doing our job, [00:47:44] we are working for Ankara," he says. Can you give a headline? If you were to, what would you give [00:47:48] for this topic? Mansur Yavaş [00:47:53] winked at a common candidacy. [00:47:56] So, he's everyone's candidate in the opposition, that's how it seems [00:47:59] to me. Let's open the wedding here. [00:48:02] At the wedding, Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu was at one end, [00:48:06] Mr. Özel at the other, they didn't shake [00:48:10] hands. So, will [00:48:12] a common candidate emerge from this, other than the CHP? [00:48:16] I don't think Mansur Yavaş will be a common candidate of the CHP, [00:48:19] or a common candidate that the CHP is involved in. The CHP [00:48:23] can only support him. So, until the election, I think we will see [00:48:26] the CHP in a somewhat different way. As the election [00:48:29] approaches, if Kemal Bey's style [00:48:32] will be effective, we won't be able [00:48:36] to achieve much partnership there. We won't be able to achieve partnership. [00:48:39] Yes, but this doesn't mean that Mansur Yavaş won't [00:48:42] cooperate with the CHP base. Mansur Yavaş is employing a tactic: without fighting [00:48:46] with them, but by declaring his own position. It's not [00:48:49] just CHP, Good Party, New Party. The People's [00:48:52] Party, Good Party, etc., he's after a broader opposition, [00:48:56] even perhaps, it can be talked about, even up to the New Welfare and Felicity Parties, [00:49:00] if they won't put forward a candidate, or to get their support in the second round, [00:49:04] he's after a broader consensus. He's trying to get his strength from [00:49:07] there. But he also sees [00:49:11] that aspiring to power today means Silivri, or for Ankara, [00:49:14] Sincan. That's why he's not in too much of a hurry. [00:49:17] He's going a bit more cautiously. But isn't it very interesting, sir? [00:49:21] "Until yesterday, until the other day, [00:49:24] the government, those who spoke, [00:49:26] let me say those who spoke, on screens were talking about [00:49:30] Mansur Yavaş with corruption claims like this and that. [00:49:34] All of it stopped when Mansur Yavaş spoke with the President. [00:49:38] Oh, Mansur Yavaş, my brother, [00:49:41] come to us, come to us! I love [00:49:45] this government's transformative [00:49:48] power so much. The government's [00:49:52] 360-degree, 180-degree, 90-degree, whatever, [00:49:56] all kinds of transformation ability, capability [00:50:00] and exercises are amazing. [00:50:03] I mean, yesterday, the person they demonized the most, [00:50:07] the next day they can embrace as the most respectable. Or yesterday, [00:50:11] the person they embraced as the most respectable, the next day [00:50:15] they can declare as the most traitorous, the worst. Their primitive [00:50:18] stances, characteristic stances. [00:50:21] I just love it. Is it primitive or characteristic? [00:50:25] I want our viewers to understand, [00:50:28] I mean, [00:50:29] I just [00:50:33] love it. Okay, a short break, then we will continue. [00:55:47] Turkey's flavor, Sarıyer Cola Presents. [01:00:21] We continue, we have entered the last [01:00:24] hour, we talked about politics, I'm looking [01:00:27] at what's missing, well, [01:00:30] the opening of Kaşif Kozinoğlu's grave, the screenwriters [01:00:34] of Kurtlar Vadisi being called in for testimony, the governor [01:00:38] and the deputy clashing in Burdur, the issue [01:00:41] being the digital water meter [01:00:43] and the deputy's statements of "I am being threatened. [01:00:47] I couldn't find peace and quiet. I request close protection" which he made [01:00:51] in the digital environment. These statements were made while answering questions. [01:00:55] There was a wedding, [01:00:58] and politics was discussed from beginning to end at the wedding. [01:01:01] Now, there were statements [01:01:04] by Bülent Arınç. This was the wedding of Ahmet Davutoğlu's son. Would [01:01:08] you like to say something about it? For example, who couldn't attend, [01:01:12] who didn't attend, excuse me, [01:01:14] who couldn't shake hands? Bülent's comments about [01:01:18] applauding and chewing gum really made an impact. Generally, [01:01:22] if you headline that too, what would you say? Saral probably [01:01:25] responded to Bülent Arınç's [01:01:29] words. Saral was disturbed, Oktay Saral, yes, [01:01:32] the President's advisor, his advisor, asking "Why are you [01:01:36] doing politics at a wedding?" So, [01:01:39] at the mosque, Chairman Ergun was in a really tough spot. [01:01:42] Ergun Turan was also at the wedding. Politics was discussed on the happy [01:01:46] day of the children. But I want to say that I don't agree [01:01:50] with most of what was said. Being the child of a politician [01:01:53] has this kind of bias too, he said. [01:01:55] Yes, it's very normal for those things to be discussed there, but [01:01:59] the government side didn't show [01:02:01] much interest despite a long relationship, because after [01:02:05] those statements [01:02:08] it probably became a problem to be in the same category as Davutoğlu. [01:02:11] Especially his words that led to an investigation, [01:02:14] caused serious trouble within the AKP, that's clear. [01:02:18] So they didn't enter that category [01:02:22] despite being so close. [01:02:25] But it's very normal for those things to be discussed. In Turkey, [01:02:29] there's almost no conversation, no gathering [01:02:32] that politics isn't involved in. When two people [01:02:36] are together, they inevitably talk about either the country's [01:02:38] problems or their own problems. And a wedding [01:02:41] or a marriage ceremony [01:02:44] becomes a stage for that, it's a part of it, and there are many [01:02:48] politicians there. Ali Babacan, the leader of the DEVA Party, was there. [01:02:51] Mahmut Arıkan, the leader of the Felicity Party, the new party [01:02:54] leader Özgür Özel, the CHP leader [01:02:58] Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, former politicians, [01:03:01] Parliament Speaker Bülent Arınç, etc. Melih Gökçek's matter [01:03:05] became quite a topic and subject of criticism. Let me [01:03:08] say something. This structure is like a globe, professor. [01:03:11] eee [01:03:14] When you enter the globe, [01:03:17] you instantly become [01:03:20] completely clean, instantly [01:03:24] shiny, like a bright detergent that makes you sparkling [01:03:27] clean and shines you. The moment you step [01:03:31] outside that globe, no matter what your shape, form, or thought [01:03:35] is, you instantly become a traitor, [01:03:38] an enemy, someone else. This is also [01:03:41] reflected in the general perspective. I always give the example [01:03:45] of the Üsküdar Municipality operation. Amine Cansu Çelik was previously [01:03:48] in the AK Party municipal council, she was in the AK Party. Then [01:03:52] in 2022, she resigns, turns around, [01:03:56] and joins the CHP. An opposition [01:04:00] "lady with a headscarf, [01:04:02] a mother, no, [01:04:06] that is, the sensitivity of the government towards headscarves, [01:04:09] towards dress code, etc. exists, right? The moment [01:04:13] you step outside that bubble, [01:04:15] all of those sensitivities disappear. [01:04:19] You are no longer a, how [01:04:22] should I say, that world, including [01:04:25] the world of belief, you are outside all of them. [01:04:28] olursunuz eee. eee [01:04:30] You begin to be seen not as a person to struggle [01:04:34] with, but as an enemy [01:04:37] to struggle against. You no longer appear [01:04:41] as a normal person, you appear as something else, [01:04:45] they see something else, believe me. [01:04:47] Our view of the opposition is always like this. [01:04:50] The arrests, for example, [01:04:54] whether it's Sinem Dedeştaş or Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet, [01:04:57] or Amine, in those arrests, [01:05:01] they don't look at them as a mother or anything like that. [01:05:05] It doesn't happen that way. When you step outside the bubble, [01:05:09] you transform into another entity that needs [01:05:12] to be fought. And that struggle is not [01:05:16] a democratic competition. This is [01:05:19] a different field of struggle. That's why when there's a cause [01:05:23] within a cause, if you've fought within the struggle [01:05:27] of that cause, many things that are forbidden [01:05:30] become permissible. [01:05:34] Even many forbidden things can become lawful. [01:05:37] The thing changes, the atmosphere changes. [01:05:40] That's why you Davutoğlu's son's wedding, [01:05:44] not Davutoğlu's wedding, but his son's wedding. Going to his son's wedding, [01:05:48] and saying, "Oh, this was [01:05:51] our former Prime Minister, who got 49.5% of the votes," [01:05:54] all of these are stories. He has stepped [01:05:58] outside the bubble now. He has become something else, [01:06:02] he has transformed into a different person, [01:06:05] he has become something that needs to be fought for the cause. [01:06:08] That's why they called Davutoğlu in for testimony. I mean, [01:06:12] why did the prosecutor call him in for testimony [01:06:15] after 5 years? Imagine a speech, and you are called in [01:06:18] for testimony 5 years later. [01:06:21] Meanwhile, President Erdoğan [01:06:24] also received an invitation, but the invitation was delivered [01:06:28] before this testimony. Therefore, such an invitation [01:06:31] to the wedding was also extended to the President. [01:06:35] Let's also mention that, but there weren't many AK Party members [01:06:38] there from the past, I mean, those currently continuing the process. [01:06:42] By the way, there was a dance event [01:06:45] with the Vanlı Kara Haydar, and he said [01:06:48] he rented the gold from the jeweler. [01:06:51] The gold was found in a suitcase [01:06:55] in a woodshed in a house. [01:06:57] Çağla Öz, that is, his job, was also [01:07:01] taken into custody. So there was gold, belts, chains, [01:07:04] bracelets, etc., put into a suitcase [01:07:07] and transferred [01:07:09] there. Now, Kerim Rota is with us, a financial [01:07:13] expert. Welcome to our broadcast. [01:07:16] Thank you, Ebru Hanım, İbrahim hocam, hello [01:07:19] everyone. Hello. Now, I have three guests. [01:07:22] Financial expert Kerim Rota, İbrahim Kahveci, and [01:07:26] Birgün Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Yaşar Aydın. Now, [01:07:28] who can explain [01:07:32] this fund issue to us? We said Kerim Rota, as a financial [01:07:35] expert, would explain it. I'll get to that, but [01:07:39] before I get to the topic, let me open up the markets [01:07:42] and at least tell us something about that, because oil prices approached [01:07:46] $108. There's an expectation of an interest [01:07:49] rate hike from the US Central Bank Fed on September 16th, but [01:07:53] Trump absolutely doesn't want it. However, US Treasury bonds reached 5%. [01:07:57] The Houthis seized Babülmend. The East-West line was closed [01:08:00] by Saudi Arabia. There's already a crisis in Hormuz. [01:08:03] Trump says, "Maybe we'll end the war until the midterms, but [01:08:07] then the war will end." Arguments about whether Trump is making fun [01:08:11] of us are being made. Amid this, oil prices are $108. [01:08:15] There's an expectation of an interest rate hike from the Fed. US [01:08:18] Treasury bonds are rising, and our deposit rate is falling. [01:08:22] Let's note that too. I'll have a question about that. And the stock market [01:08:26] started with a 1.5% drop. Katılım Ev [01:08:29] shares were already at their floor. They hit [01:08:32] their floor at 33 liras. At 14,236 points, [01:08:36] we're talking about a 1.6% drop, around a 1.5% [01:08:40] drop on average so far. Gold [01:08:43] is holding just above $4300. When [01:08:47] oil prices rise, we expect new hikes for diesel. [01:08:50] Will that hike be 6.62, [01:08:53] 7.60, 7.20, 5, or 6 liras? [01:08:56] It will be announced around 4 PM today. [01:09:00] This hike is expected to be valid from Tuesday, [01:09:03] and it will bring the price of diesel close to [01:09:06] 100 liras. Now, in such an environment, there are no very [01:09:10] bright scenarios for pensions and minimum wage for January. [01:09:14] Whatever the inflation difference is, that's it. The minimum [01:09:17] wage will get a maximum increase of 25%, slightly exceeding [01:09:21] 35,000 liras. But life isn't like that. So, the markets are like this. [01:09:25] My first question about deposit rates is, what do [01:09:29] people do [01:09:32] when deposit rates fall? Kerim Bey, yes, [01:09:36] Ebru Hanım, all these external factors you mentioned will lead [01:09:39] to higher inflation and a widening [01:09:42] current account deficit, and [01:09:46] further suppression of our growth. And regarding growth, [01:09:49] we already had a growth trajectory that had come [01:09:53] down to 3% with the latest data. [01:09:57] Looking at it this way, [01:09:59] on the deposit side, with the Central Bank [01:10:03] bringing the effective interest rate to 37, [01:10:06] we've seen downward movements. [01:10:09] This of course indicates a period where real interest [01:10:13] rates are falling but risks are increasing. [01:10:16] In such situations, there's generally demand [01:10:20] for commodities like gold, even if it's short-term. And stocks with high [01:10:23] potential are chosen. But our stock market, [01:10:27] as we'll discuss in a moment, has reached a point where [01:10:29] I can't really say there are many alternatives for savers. [01:10:33] And again, deposit rates [01:10:37] that are 5-6 points above the current inflation rate [01:10:40] seem to be [01:10:43] the only option left. [01:10:47] Now, how is this felt in daily life? Let me [01:10:50] ask you that. Schools opened today. [01:10:53] I would be very happy if you also participated. [01:10:56] Before we get to the funds, [01:11:00] I have a list. It's a school lunch [01:11:03] menu in a public school. So, [01:11:06] food is provided in public schools, but [01:11:09] it's paid. For only 13 days [01:11:13] in September, 3770 liras were paid. In October, [01:11:16] 6090 liras will be paid. In November, [01:11:19] it rises to 4640 liras. In December, it rises to 6670 liras. [01:11:23] The average of this [01:11:25] comes to around 5800 liras, and for 179 [01:11:29] days, a family will pay a total of 51,910 liras for [01:11:33] a child attending elementary school in a public school. [01:11:36] If the school is far away, there's a shuttle service. [01:11:39] If they want to get a toast, they'll put at least another 3000 liras [01:11:43] in their pocket per month. There are pencils, [01:11:45] notebooks, bags, etc. There are winter boots and coats. [01:11:49] There are sports clothes. There are school uniforms. [01:11:53] There are after-school study classes that cost money. [01:11:56] After-school study opens, pay money. School is painted, pay money. [01:12:00] Toilet paper, tissues, soap [01:12:03] will be bought, pay money. For those too, pay 1500-2000. So [01:12:07] families are constantly paying money. Fill up [01:12:10] the gas, fill up the diesel, and do grocery shopping, pay the rent, [01:12:14] pay the bills. And the income is fixed. And you're told [01:12:17] not to expect anything other than the inflation difference [01:12:21] in January, not to expect much. I chose two products, [01:12:24] and I'll give their prices. Let's say you're a working [01:12:28] person, and you said, "At least I'll eat chicken," or "I'll buy chicken for dinner." [01:12:32] We've moved away from red meat, we'll buy chicken. [01:12:35] One of our viewers sent a list. Please look [01:12:38] at the list. Chicken has become comparable to meat. Yes, yes, [01:12:42] prices are like 400-500. You buy a chicken, you pay around [01:12:46] 550 liras. Sunflower oil is 100, where is it? Here are the prices. [01:12:49] If you give it to me, I'll see it. I can't see it anyway. [01:12:52] He made a list. [01:12:56] For example, a whole chicken costs over 500 liras, [01:13:00] half a chicken is 450 liras. Even kokoreç [01:13:03] is over 300 liras. People are eating [01:13:07] Adana kofte, that is, meatballs from white meat, [01:13:10] wings, Adana, etc. But even those are expensive. You can't [01:13:14] even afford white meat. Sunflower oil, which you use every day, [01:13:17] is approaching 160 liras. They're trying to live like this. [01:13:20] Do you have an answer to the question of how they will live? What [01:13:24] will we do now? At the beginning of the program, [01:13:27] while reading newspaper headlines, there was something in one newspaper: [01:13:30] "We were left without brothers." [01:13:32] That was Yeni Şafak. [01:13:35] You mentioned a student, [01:13:38] 51,000 liras just for basic school expenses, this is food expenses. [01:13:42] The child will eat at school. So why were we left without [01:13:45] brothers? They should look at themselves a bit. [01:13:48] 10,500 liras just for food in a public school, [01:13:51] isn't it? A public school, not a private school. "When you consider [01:13:55] all the other things you mentioned, it's a really significant [01:13:59] amount. It means a family's entire minimum wage goes just [01:14:02] to education. Do you know what the meal was on the first [01:14:06] day? Chicken pasta [01:14:08] soup, chicken, so again chicken, yes. [01:14:12] Another thing, it comes to 290 liras. In these conditions, [01:14:15] it's really hard to live. It's very hard to live in big [01:14:18] cities. People are trying to get by by borrowing, [01:14:22] but that only goes so far. They're cutting back on everything. [01:14:26] From the quality of food to the meal portions, everyone [01:14:29] says they've reduced it to two meals a day now. [01:14:33] This applies to almost everyone. Cinema, [01:14:36] television, or eating out, everything has become a luxury [01:14:39] in our lives. And this [01:14:41] is how we live. I mean, won't these people go to the barber? [01:14:45] 700 liras. If their combi boiler breaks, [01:14:48] 3000 liras for 3 hours of service. If it stays for 3 hours, [01:14:51] service is 3000. If a tile is broken, [01:14:54] I asked them to come and lay it. They charge 7-8000 liras a day. [01:14:58] If the air conditioner breaks, it's approaching 10,000 liras. [01:15:01] Unfortunately, that's how the numbers [01:15:04] are. So people are cutting back on everything and trying [01:15:08] to live just for these basic needs. That's what they're trying to live for. [01:15:12] And we call this living. But just now, Kerim Bey [01:15:15] also stated that perhaps the most important [01:15:18] result of this will be income inequality. The gap there will widen [01:15:22] greatly. So, in this upcoming period, perhaps [01:15:26] 10 million of the 86 million people in the country are living [01:15:29] far above Swiss standards. The remaining [01:15:32] are living by Belgian Swiss standards. All the rest of us have [01:15:36] become like people living in third-world countries. [01:15:40] I've also grown quite old, [01:15:43] and we haven't seen anything like this before, we haven't experienced [01:15:47] this. This is very clear and true. I took [01:15:51] an excerpt from Birgün Newspaper's headline last weekend. In August [01:15:54] alone, 15 children under the age of 14 died [01:15:58] in work-related accidents. 21 people [01:16:01] over 65 years old, so among the elderly, [01:16:04] over 1500 people, 1509 people [01:16:08] lost their lives. Do you know that 117 of them [01:16:11] were over 65? Being retired is not enough, [01:16:14] they can't live if they don't work. Many of them die in construction [01:16:18] sites, and children also work in this manner. [01:16:21] And when we tell children [01:17:00] they are trying to earn money, yes, child labor. Also, we work [01:17:03] the most, meaning the rate of long-hour workers in Turkey is [01:17:07] 15.1%. There's quite a distance between [01:17:11] us and the nearest country. Look, [01:17:14] Colombia works at an average of 14.2%. [01:17:17] That means 14.2% of workers work long [01:17:21] hours. Ours is 15.1%. For example, in South Korea, this [01:17:25] drops to 7.8%, in America [01:17:28] to 3.3%, and in Poland to 3.2%. [01:17:31] The rate of long-hour workers is very high here. [01:17:34] We are world champions in that too. We work a lot, [01:17:38] so even if we work long, long hours, we don't get [01:17:41] a significant salary difference, a wage difference. They work for that [01:17:45] 3% wage difference in America. That 3% is correct. [01:17:48] They work to get good wages, more wages. But such a difference [01:17:51] is not created here. There's one more piece of news, [01:17:55] then let's move on to the funds. Orta Anadolu Trade and Industry [01:17:58] Enterprise. This is a 73-year-old company [01:18:01] in Kayseri. And it has factories. It produces [01:18:05] denim fabric for the world's biggest brands. Since 1993, [01:18:09] it has served more than 300 denim brands, including Levi's, [01:18:12] Mavi, Lee, Diesel. It has decided [01:18:16] to close its factories. It closed [01:18:18] completely on September 11th. [01:18:21] All production facilities [01:18:23] will be completely closed by October 12, 2026. [01:18:27] Employees were sent on paid leave for one month. [01:18:30] Under the Karamancı Holding, [01:18:33] then all their rights will be paid, and the factories [01:18:36] will be completely closed. It's a large [01:18:40] factory, employing 1500 people. [01:18:43] Yes, yes, quite a lot in Turkey. But [01:18:46] for the past few months, I said, with the disruption [01:18:50] of trends from the Far East, some of the textile and apparel [01:18:53] orders from Europe are being shifted back to Turkey, [01:18:56] but Turkey is very expensive. The exchange [01:19:00] rate, the dollar-TL exchange rate, the TL has appreciated [01:19:03] too much, so exporters are struggling. [01:19:06] Costs. Now, think about it, [01:19:09] labor costs on average exceeded [01:19:13] $500. This 73-year-old textile giant. The total [01:19:16] wage, with the bonus, exceeded $1500. Even the average. [01:19:20] He says markets shrunk. Markets are reopening in textile [01:19:24] and apparel. In textile and apparel, the Far [01:19:27] East, the Strait of Hormuz, the Red Sea. We saw this [01:19:30] during the pandemic. A similar situation to the pandemic. [01:19:34] After America attacked Iran, [01:19:37] "We always talk about risks. I used to say that some opportunities [01:19:41] would also arise. The head of TIM said this the other day. Our [01:19:44] viewers will remember this. I said this. I have said it [01:19:46] many times, there will be opportunities in textile clothing, [01:19:50] orders will shift to Turkey, but they also closed these [01:19:53] because I said costs are high, so [01:19:57] the cost is high, very high cost. [01:20:00] Of course, it went to Egypt, professor, 1500 dollars is the wage [01:20:03] cost here, 1500 dollars, in Egypt it's 200 dollars." [01:20:07] Okay, you can't find the same work in Egypt, but the difference is very [01:20:10] high, the world is complex, and [01:20:14] it's not clear what Trump will do, the Middle East [01:20:18] is tense. The American Central Bank is not [01:20:22] in favor of interest rate cuts, it gives the impression of increasing them. GP Morgan and [01:20:25] other banks say interest rates will increase. [01:20:29] When you look inside, while the markets [01:20:33] are like this, our stock market is also complex, our costs are very [01:20:36] high. "Will these people pay their dues, pay the bill, send their children [01:20:40] to school, pay for their service, buy clothes, in the evening [01:20:43] they can't even buy chicken, let alone meat, they go to the evening market. [01:20:47] We said these things, we also [01:20:50] discussed the prices, if you want to say something here, we'll take it, then [01:20:53] I'll move on to the situation of the funds, Kerim Rota. [01:20:56] Yes, actually, this program, which is more than 3 years [01:21:00] old, under the name of inflation [01:21:03] combat program, is actually a financial stability program. [01:21:06] It summarizes where the program got stuck, [01:21:10] where it got stuck is income justice, inflation, and [01:21:13] predominantly the fact that [01:21:17] the pressure of interest and [01:21:21] wages, which is piled [01:21:23] on 85-90% of the society, is not felt much [01:21:27] by 10% of the society. When this happens, [01:21:31] the program should have been revised [01:21:33] and moved to another phase a long time ago, but... [01:21:38] It didn't happen, because in between, many political [01:21:41] ambitions arose, many aspirations arose. [01:21:44] When this happens, it seems that we will enter [01:21:47] the next elections with a slightly diluted derivative of this program. [01:21:51] But this [01:21:53] period between 2023-2027 or 28 [01:21:57] will, I think, take its place in history [01:22:01] as a very unsuccessful program, it will have achieved financial stability. [01:22:04] That is, Turkey's risk units, the foreigners'. [01:22:07] The job of people keeping their money in the bank [01:22:11] will not result in a breakdown [01:22:13] in these times. But [01:22:17] in other parts, it will be a program that failed. [01:22:21] Of course, we will talk about the capital market [01:22:24] in terms of financial stability. There are unfortunately [01:22:27] some signs that this could also be at risk. [01:22:31] Hopefully, no harm will come to that. I will say two [01:22:34] more things. Since the beginning of the year, pet has increased by 60%, says Professor Hakan Kara. [01:22:38] European natural gas prices also increased by 160% in Euro terms. [01:22:42] If there is no easing until the end of the month, natural gas [01:22:46] and electricity prices may increase in October, because a 3-month evaluation will be made. [01:22:50] Also, we already have revaluation increases in January. [01:22:53] And also, the burdens [01:22:57] on citizens are not just this much, there is also the tax burden. [01:23:01] According to the OVP, an average of 817,324 [01:23:04] liras of tax is expected per person in 3 years. So... [01:23:08] The tax increase is 36.5%, inflation forecast is 21%. So [01:23:12] get ready to pay those taxes too. Our troubles are not just one, [01:23:15] because we pay for news. Now, [01:23:18] a compass finance holding [01:23:21] board chairman İsmail Saymaz said he fled abroad [01:23:25] to Greece. Things got complicated, [01:23:29] then these portfolio [01:23:32] companies, these value [01:23:35] increases, these revaluations that have been talked [01:23:38] about a lot in recent days, [01:23:41] eyes were turned to them again. Now, [01:23:44] this Pusula also owns Katılım Ev, [01:23:48] and also İktisat Bank. It also owns Pusula [01:23:51] Portföy, and there were negotiations with Tera [01:23:54] for Katılım Ev, with Tera Portföy. Now, [01:23:58] on August 28, Katılım Ev's share price was 69 liras. [01:24:02] A very good analysis was made in the world of bosses, and I benefited from that analysis. [01:24:05] On August 30, Pusula Finance [01:24:09] Holding announced that it would buy shares of Katılım Ev up to 10 billion liras. [01:24:13] Now it says it will buy shares. On September 3, [01:24:16] a purchase of 992 million [01:24:20] was made. Then in 4 trading days, [01:24:23] a purchase of 2.3 billion was made in 45.3 million shares. [01:24:27] Pusula itself didn't make these purchases. So [01:24:30] many shares were bought from the stock exchange. [01:24:33] On September 8-9, the shares hit rock bottom [01:24:37] despite such purchases. The price dropped from 69 liras [01:24:41] to 33 liras. Currently, it is around 33 liras and is still trading [01:24:44] at the rock bottom price. Then, in this process, sales [01:24:48] negotiations with Terra began on September 9. It is announced, first it is said [01:24:52] that they will buy Katılım Ev shares up to 10 billion liras on the stock exchange. Then [01:24:55] 2.3 billion liras of purchases are made in 4 days. [01:24:59] Pusula Finance Holding does this for 992 million liras. [01:25:02] Then the shares hit rock bottom. [01:25:05] Then a sales negotiation with Tera [01:25:08] begins. On September 10, it is said [01:25:12] that an agreement on terms has been reached. On September 12, news spreads [01:25:15] that Pusula Portföy chairman Muhammet Yarız went to Greece. [01:25:18] He says "I didn't go, I'm in Bodrum, I will give a statement." [01:25:22] On September 12, it is alleged that Katılım Ev board chairman Serdar [01:25:25] Turhan has a travel ban abroad. [01:25:28] It is written and drawn that Serdar Turhan obtained [01:25:31] a house residence permit in Greece, bought a house, bought a villa in Dubai, [01:25:35] bought a yacht, bought a plane, etc. Then [01:25:38] they say [01:25:42] negotiations with Tera are continuing for Katılım Ev, there is no problem, [01:25:46] this news did not affect these negotiations. That's what is being said. Last night. [01:25:50] Even though it's the weekend, Sunday evening, night, yes. [01:25:54] Tera says we reached an agreement, Muhammet [01:25:58] Yarız and others left, Serdar Turhan also left, I am now [01:26:01] the chairman of the board as Emre Tezmen. Therefore, [01:26:04] we have also appointed managers. The agreement is complete. [01:26:08] Now we are waiting for the approval processes from BDDK, SPK and the Competition [01:26:11] Authority. It says the agreement is complete. We don't know what the price is, what kind of agreement it is, [01:26:15] what will happen. But it says the agreement [01:26:18] has been reached. Therefore, such an announcement is made. So, [01:26:22] Katılım Ev starts with a price of 69 liras. Then share purchase, then [01:26:25] negotiations with Tera, then a process leading to news that the boss [01:26:29] fled. And yesterday's portfolio companies [01:26:32] were, of course, debated again by everyone, [01:26:36] what will happen here. Of course, [01:26:40] there are many questions, how was the agreement with Tera [01:26:42] decided, is there another statement to be announced [01:26:46] to investors, how did the share hit rock bottom with share purchase, who [01:26:49] bought and who sold? These are, of course, questions [01:26:53] that need to be asked. Would you say something, let's start with Mr. Kerim, [01:26:57] what do you say, please, Ms. Ebru. Instead of summarizing [01:27:01] this whole process through one or two brokerage firms [01:27:04] or portfolio management companies or participation houses, [01:27:07] let me start with this: first of all, [01:27:11] there is manipulation in the stock market or, with its new name, the share [01:27:14] market and fund market in Turkey. I'm not saying this, Mehmet Şimşek [01:27:18] said this on November 3, 2025, [01:27:22] at the opening of the Capital Markets Congress. He said [01:27:26] there is manipulation here, and they said they would take measures. [01:27:29] Appropriate measures [01:27:33] came on August 28, 2026. 10 months passed. [01:27:36] During these 10 months, funds [01:27:40] and some shares [01:27:43] that were suspected of being manipulated [01:27:46] increased almost 8-10 times. [01:27:51] Therefore, their values increased, and the situation grew [01:27:54] considerably. So, [01:27:58] it became harder to find a solution to this. [01:28:01] But the August 28 communique [01:28:04] stipulated a process that gradually prevents [01:28:07] these actions from being repeated and reduces existing [01:28:11] positions. However, [01:28:14] there are two important points here. One is October 31, and the other is December 31. [01:28:17] The actual unwinding of positions here should have been completed by [01:28:21] this date. For Pusula, the story started on August 28. [01:28:24] Your calendar also starts on September 3. Investors [01:28:28] who knew or guessed what kind of assets [01:28:31] were in it, who consciously entered [01:28:35] this business, shouldn't be called small investors. [01:28:39] Most of the investors started withdrawing their money. [01:28:42] Under normal circumstances, when you withdraw your money from a fund, [01:28:45] what will happen is that the assets within the fund [01:28:49] are sold at a slightly cheaper price, but you get your money. However, [01:28:52] here, especially some shares [01:28:55] were manipulated so much that when no real [01:28:59] buyer could be found for them, some of Pusula's funds [01:29:03] started showing negative returns of close to 20-25% daily. [01:29:06] It didn't stop there. As of today, [01:29:09] a fund that has 100 liras [01:29:12] worth of shares has a debt of almost 500 liras, [01:29:16] because when no one buys at those prices, they have [01:29:20] to use credit, and the situation became inextricable. Of course, [01:29:23] with so much damaged [01:29:25] reputation, two things are expected. [01:29:29] When there was investor outflow from the portfolio [01:29:33] fund, there was a shake-up, right? Of course. [01:29:37] Let me give you an example. A factoring [01:29:40] company that currently has 250 employees [01:29:44] has a valuation of 16.7 billion dollars. [01:29:47] Tüpraş's value is 16.5 billion dollars. These were [01:29:50] closing prices on Friday, today they are roughly the same. [01:29:54] Turkey's largest company and a fund have [01:29:57] the same value, that's right. And I'm talking [01:30:00] about a company that has been included in the list of the 30 [01:30:04] most valuable companies, which we call BIST 30, by the stock exchange. [01:30:08] So, Türk Telekom, Turkcell, public banks, all of them are in the list. [01:30:11] It's worth 4 times more than Turkcell. [01:30:15] Now, when there's an outflow from a fund that holds [01:30:18] the shares of this company, who will buy this company for 15 billion dollars [01:30:22] instead of 16 billion dollars, who will buy it for 12 billion dollars, [01:30:26] who will buy it for 10 billion dollars, who will buy it for 8 billion, 2 billion [01:30:29] dollars? So, a chain forms now, but [01:30:33] I'm not talking about a single stock. There's a shipping company with 250 [01:30:37] employees, 6.5 billion dollars. I'm not naming names, I don't [01:30:40] think there's any harm in naming names. Now, [01:30:44] there are probably 15-20 such shares [01:30:47] and 15-20 funds formed [01:30:51] in Turkey. And actually, Article [01:30:55] 107/1 of the Capital Markets Law considers artificial [01:30:59] market price formation and artificial price formation in the market [01:31:04] as a crime. But during these 10 months, and before that, and [01:31:07] still, the CMB has not filed any criminal complaint [01:31:10] about this. It only made regulations to solve [01:31:13] this and to ensure that it is not repeated. [01:31:17] And while making these regulations, it took very restrictive [01:31:21] decisions regarding these types of free [01:31:24] funds. And actually, it imposed significant financial and human [01:31:28] resources burdens on portfolio management companies [01:31:31] that do their job properly and companies that do their job properly. [01:31:34] So, it clearly gave the message that "I know what happened, [01:31:38] but I cannot legally deal with those who did it." [01:31:41] But since the issue grew so much and they probably [01:31:44] saw the risk of it shaking financial stability, they felt the need [01:31:48] to take a precaution. Excuse me, professor, I apologize, the management [01:31:52] of the Tera group did not change, Pusula's management changed. [01:31:55] If my colleagues correct me, Tera's management did not change, Pusula's [01:31:59] changed. Of course. [01:32:04] It seems like Tera group's management changed. Pusula, [01:32:07] Pusula's changed. The participation house's changed. [01:32:10] Yes, go ahead. Now, [01:32:14] not only in the fund market, but also in some stocks, [01:32:18] very strange things happened. So, Mr. Yaşar, [01:32:20] Ms. Ebru, Professor İbrahim, the four of us establish a company. [01:32:24] We put 100 middle-class cars into it, each worth 1 million. [01:32:28] We put 100 cars with a capital of 100 million liras. [01:32:31] Then we IPO 20% of this company. We collect [01:32:35] those 20 million shares [01:32:37] from somewhere. Then we put these [01:32:41] shares into a fund, a closed free [01:32:44] fund that we are a part of. Then we take [01:32:48] these 100 million shares and increase their value to 5 billion. Then this fund [01:32:52] has a very low public float. You know that no one bought [01:32:56] it when it was first offered to the public. You buy [01:32:59] their shares from Luxembourg, Malta, or from your [01:33:03] friends. Eventually, you have a beautiful public share. [01:33:07] Then you establish [01:33:10] a closed free fund with friends [01:33:14] and family in a closed free fund, with a portfolio [01:33:17] manager company. You raise the price of [01:33:21] that share, which has no public float and for which no seller [01:33:24] will come against you, from 100 million to 5 billion. [01:33:27] After that, this fund shows [01:33:30] incredible performance. I mean, imagine, a 100 million [01:33:34] fund has become 5 billion liras, it has increased 50 [01:33:38] times. People say, "how well they manage funds." [01:33:41] You also say, "I want to share my excellent fund management [01:33:45] skills with our 17 million people." [01:33:48] You open the fund to TEFAS, of course with CMB permission, [01:33:51] by taking CMB permission. You enable the public to buy [01:33:55] it. The public also buys it. While the public is buying, they also need to make a profit. [01:33:58] You increase the fund that was 50 billion to 150 [01:34:02] billion. They also make a profit. [01:34:05] They start defending this superior fund management skill [01:34:09] more than anyone else. And then, of course, when the CMB and the stock exchange [01:34:13] watched this for 10 months, this is where we are now. [01:34:16] Now we need to see what happens next. After this, [01:34:20] the investor is important. Protecting people is important here. The investors [01:34:24] in Katılım Ev, I mean, the chairman [01:34:27] of Tera's board of directors himself [01:34:30] says, "We are responsible for protecting the money of people who scrimped [01:34:34] and saved to invest here." Now, there is a very important critical point [01:34:37] here. All the things we have talked [01:34:41] about so far were within the Capital Markets Law and Capital Markets [01:34:45] transactions. But Pusula is not just [01:34:48] a company in the capital market. It also has [01:34:52] a small participation bank, which means [01:34:55] a bank that has the right to collect funds from citizens [01:34:58] according to Islamic principles, however small. [01:35:02] And it also has a savings finance company. These also collect people's [01:35:05] savings, albeit indirectly. Therefore, [01:35:09] there is a risk of these risks spreading [01:35:12] to the banking system. There are three [01:35:15] institutions that should take this seriously and prevent [01:35:18] it: BDDK, which is already [01:35:22] subject to BDDK regulations for these savings [01:35:26] finance companies and banks. Secondly, SPK. [01:35:29] Of course, SPK will know if there is a relationship between [01:35:33] these money market funds and these banks. Thirdly, the Competition [01:35:36] Authority. The Competition Authority is less important, but these two institutions are much [01:35:40] more important. These transactions can only take place [01:35:43] with their permission. So, if I tried to buy [01:35:47] Ms. Hanım's car on Thursday, we couldn't go to the notary again on Monday. [01:35:51] I mean, we would talk and discuss, we might not meet, but these transactions [01:35:54] being done within two days and then [01:35:57] board of directors changes happening shouldn't [01:36:01] be independent of the decision of regulatory authorities, I think. [01:36:04] I was going to ask that. The management changes in Pusula before the agreement [01:36:07] is approved. Was it Muhammet Yarız or Yarız? [01:36:11] Yes, I hadn't seen anything yet about the agreement [01:36:15] being sent to regulatory authorities. No, it wasn't approved. [01:36:18] But Muhammet Yarız and Serdar [01:36:21] Turhan left the management. The management appointed by Tera [01:36:25] and Emre Tezmen came, but it hasn't been approved [01:36:27] yet, yes. Now, [01:36:31] board of directors changes are made in [01:36:34] banks and savings finance companies. Then BDDK [01:36:38] gives permission. They have 1 week to object, so the change might have been made. [01:36:41] But normally, the proper thing is [01:36:45] to make a notification, and if no objection comes within that week, then [01:36:49] these changes are made. That's more proper. But [01:36:52] the Competition Board's permission for Carrefour's sale [01:36:56] came in about 3 and a half months. So these are not [01:37:00] very easy processes. Such [01:37:03] rapid management changes and so on are also important [01:37:06] in terms of preventing contamination in the banking [01:37:10] sector. I think it is important. [01:37:13] Very careful consideration is needed from [01:37:16] now on. I think regulatory institutions, both [01:37:19] for the banking system, as I mentioned earlier, [01:37:23] "let financial stability not be disturbed." The citizens have suffered so much for [01:37:27] 3.5 years for this. My aim in saying "let's not face [01:37:30] another financial stability risk" was this. But [01:37:34] what I can only tell investors is that [01:37:37] these days are important in terms of news flow. [01:37:41] So, if there are significant outflows from funds [01:37:45] holding shares that are weak in terms of selling to markets, [01:37:49] it is very possible for them to experience rapid [01:37:53] value loss. But if there is no outflow, [01:37:57] if money inflow continues and the current balance holds, [01:38:00] then its sustainability is certainly possible. But October 31 and December [01:38:04] 31 are also important. For both [01:38:07] these institutions, both the CMB and the stock exchange, [01:38:11] the regulatory institutions, these are the last [01:38:14] days if there is no change, if there is no [01:38:17] easing. So, for investors, [01:38:20] it's important to research who they are working [01:38:23] with and what's in the funds. They now have the chance to see [01:38:26] these things from all kinds of small applications. [01:38:30] I saw, for example, Pusula has [01:38:33] a fund that gained 40 billion liras in value [01:38:37] from January to March. Yes. [01:38:40] There are very rapid value increases. No one just [01:38:44] gives that [01:38:48] You gave a clearer picture, you said that Tüpraş, [01:38:51] there is a fund value larger than Tüpraş. You said, there is a factoring [01:38:55] company larger than Turkey's largest [01:39:01] such [01:39:02] a return [01:39:06] no, factories are closing down one after another. These are prices [01:39:09] inflated on paper, inflated on paper. [01:39:13] The shares are yours, Ms. Ebru, the shares are completely yours. [01:39:17] Look, let me tell you another method. You wrote [01:39:20] this. Exactly one year ago, on September [01:39:23] 12, 2025, I wrote "in trendy funds [01:39:27] on the stock market." For a day or a few days, we talked [01:39:31] in these broadcasts about how these companies could be larger than the value [01:39:34] of a large bank. I mean, the market value of one [01:39:38] factoring company is greater than the value of four [01:39:41] large banks. What is it? The shares are yours. When [01:39:44] they are yours, what do you do? Let's say it's 10 liras, you write a sale [01:39:48] for 11 liras, you buy at 11 liras. [01:39:52] It continues to be high, high, high every day. The next day [01:39:55] 12, 13. Let me give you an example. There is a company worth 1 [01:39:59] billion with 1 million shares. The shares are yours. 30% is [01:40:03] publicly traded, whatever. And 30% is yours, all [01:40:06] of it is yours, all of it is yours. You increase the value of a 1 billion [01:40:10] company to 500 billion liras in one year, [01:40:14] by selling yourself, as I just said. As I [01:40:18] just said, the shares are yours. Well, this [01:40:21] is a crime. Look, at one point, [01:40:24] all financial crimes. [01:40:27] There is a favoritism of public [01:40:30] power there. In all financial crimes, [01:40:34] in all financial crimes, if the public takes [01:40:37] the necessary measures at the necessary time, there [01:40:41] will be no financial crime, because these are recorded transactions. [01:40:45] Now, you increased the value of a 1 billion company [01:40:48] to 500 billion through artificial [01:40:52] transactions. Okay. The fund [01:40:55] that holds those shares makes a profit [01:40:59] of 499 billion liras in one year. [01:41:02] It shows a profit. You'll say, is there such a profit? [01:41:06] No, but in the balance sheet, [01:41:08] a net profit of 499 billion liras is written. [01:41:12] Let's say 1 billion is lost, 498 billion liras net profit [01:41:16] is written. Similar to this, [01:41:19] in the stock market, in the market, these funds, [01:41:23] as my professor just said, there is a factoring company [01:41:26] with a market value of 870 billion TL. [01:41:30] Koç Holding's market value is 550 billion. [01:41:33] A factoring company's value is 1.5 times [01:41:36] the market value of Turkey's largest industrial enterprise [01:41:40] that provides 75-80,000 jobs. How can such a thing happen? And [01:41:43] this is taken into account in the stock market [01:41:46] index. The MSI index warned Turkey for [01:41:49] this reason, saying that "your index [01:41:52] values, company values, there is fraud [01:41:55] in this business, there is cheating in this business." I mean, they conduct [01:41:59] legal betting operations in Turkey and close legal bets. [01:42:03] They had opened a legal stock market casino for a few years. Money should go to legal [01:42:07] betting, but instead it goes to legal stock market gambling. An investigation [01:42:10] was conducted, the investigation is ongoing, six names have been identified, be careful. [01:42:14] There are holding shares. [01:42:17] It went from 1 lira to 80 liras. [01:42:21] From 1 lira to 80 liras. What is [01:42:24] the freedom in the company's balance sheet? What is [01:42:28] the risk right now? [01:42:31] What is the risk? As Professor Kerim just said, [01:42:35] you came to this fund and invested, [01:42:38] you bought something from the fund, you want to sell, [01:42:42] there are no buyers to sell to. A share that was 1 lira [01:42:45] went to 80 liras. Who will buy at 80, [01:42:48] who will buy at 60, who will buy at 50, who will buy at 40, who will buy at 30? [01:42:52] You can't sell. [01:42:54] The fund can't sell it. What happens when it can't sell? What did [01:42:58] you say, professor? For example, in a 500 [01:43:01] million fund, there are people who have sold, [01:43:05] but the shares in the fund's possession are not even 10 million. [01:43:08] The deficit of 490 million who will cover it, how will they cover it? [01:43:12] He will take out a loan, do this, do that, and then he won't be able to turn it back. [01:43:15] This system has been in place for years. [01:43:18] It's been in fashion for a few years. With this system, [01:43:21] who gave permission, who allowed it? [01:43:25] I'm coming back to what? To the public? Yes, [01:43:28] what I always come to is public CMB measures. [01:43:32] Did they create a bottleneck? I wonder. On August [01:43:35] 28, of course, the CMB measures were correct. [01:43:39] But they should have been taken much earlier. [01:43:42] I mean, when you look at the list of CMB [01:43:45] measures, it was as if they had already written [01:43:49] the chronology for this. When you look at it, these were measures that should [01:43:52] have been taken much earlier. In between, a CMB chairman changed [01:43:56] many times. It was written, drawn, communiqués went, [01:43:59] came, but nothing was done, unfortunately. I agree [01:44:03] 100% with my teacher İbrahim. I mean, without public power, [01:44:06] without political connections, such a... [01:44:10] it's absolutely impossible to operate such a mechanism. [01:44:14] I have a teacher I love very much, Hakan Yılmaz teacher. He sent me [01:44:17] a message. In Gabriel [01:44:20] Marcel Marcos's novel "Chronicle of a Death Foretold", there is a sentence: "Everyone knew [01:44:24] the murder would happen. Everything was so obvious, [01:44:27] and it was going on recklessly." Morgan Stanley also had a saying adapted from there [01:44:31] in the 2008 crisis: "Everyone was dancing, [01:44:34] I couldn't sit." Unfortunately, it's like that. [01:44:38] I mean, an example. [01:44:46] Without naming names, an investment fund established up to 5 years ago has increased 1600 times in dollar terms. [01:44:50] 1600 times. In the same period, Nvidia [01:44:54] system, that is, which has made a breakthrough [01:44:57] in technology, Nvidia stock has increased 30 times. [01:45:01] Someone who invested 100 dollars on that day [01:45:04] and held it until today has seen their dollar become 1.6 million [01:45:07] dollars. None of these can be done [01:45:10] in other real market conditions, by creating a real company [01:45:14] value behind it. But the CMB knew this much [01:45:17] better than us. So, [01:45:20] do you have any advice for investors? Let me add one more thing. [01:45:23] Is the Turkish economy [01:45:27] different from these stock market [01:45:29] funds? Let me give you a figure. I analyzed this the other day. [01:45:33] In 2018, in 2019, my per [01:45:36] capita income was 9,000, say 700,000 dollars. [01:45:40] While my per capita income was 10,000 [01:45:43] dollars, my food purchasing power [01:45:46] was, according to the hunger threshold prices announced [01:45:49] by Türk-İş, my food purchasing power was [01:45:53] 21,000. Today, my per capita income has reached 19,000 [01:45:56] dollars, but my food purchasing power [01:45:59] is behind that of 2018-2019, slightly less or the same, [01:46:03] let's say it's the same level. I mean, [01:46:06] the Turkish economy is like this [01:46:10] "faktöring şirketi gibi şişiyor, büyüme diye bir [01:46:13] şey yok ki, refah artmıyor, 2018'den [01:46:17] 2017'den beri satın [01:46:20] alma gücü, gıda satın alma gücüne göre benim büyümem [01:46:24] 0,0 kişi başına büyümem sıfır, emeklinin [01:46:27] eksi kaç acaba yani onlar eksi zaten şey asgari [01:46:30] ücretli asgari ücretten örnek vereyim [01:46:34] 2017-18'de asgari ücretinin [01:46:37] yıllık geliri açlık." [01:47:50] olabilir, mesela katılım esaslı fonlara yatırmaları lazım ama bir [01:47:53] katılım esaslı para piyasası fonula yatırıp da içinde başka bir şey var mı, bunu biz [01:47:56] bilemeyiz tabii ki, bunu bilmesi gereken SPK, BDDK'nın koordineli [01:48:00] çalışmalarıdır, ama bu konunun eee iyi [01:48:04] düzenlendiğini bilelim, o yüzden şu anda çok endişe edecek [01:48:08] bir durum yok asıl. küçük yatırımcıların da orada olduğunu da bilelim, [01:48:11] yani gerçekten ufak tefek tasarruflarla ee işte 7 ay sonra 18 [01:48:15] ay sonra bir eee toplu paraya ulaşmak isteyen eee ve [01:48:19] aslında hem birikimi eee hem de oradan bir eee varlık [01:48:22] edinmeyi eee şey yapan teşvik eden önemli [01:48:26] kuruluşlar eee o yüzden bunların BDDK tarafından [01:48:29] zaten denetleniyordu daha dikkatli bir şekilde denetleneceğine [01:48:33] benim inancım var çok teşekkür ediyorum Kerim hocam sağ [01:48:36] you have a portfolio company, [01:48:46] you create funds within it, you put various investment tools [01:48:50] in it, but you also put your own company's shares in it, then [01:48:53] it grows with leverage, it has a very high return, a portfolio [01:48:57] company can reach the size of Tüpraş, 2-3 times [01:49:00] that of Turkcell, then investors come there, but [01:49:04] when you start withdrawing money, there can be a bottleneck. [01:49:07] We see that there is no such money. Okay, yes, but now [01:49:10] did this person go abroad or not? What happened to this sale? [01:49:14] An official statement regarding the investor [01:49:18] needs to be made, please. But [01:49:21] look, the prosecutor's office conducts operations [01:49:25] because social media affects stock values. Six accounts... I wish [01:49:29] we hadn't reached the point where we have to conduct operations. [01:49:32] This time, let me put a headline for our viewers. [01:57:19] There are news of price increases and discounts in fuel prices. [01:57:22] The pump doesn't stay steady, citizens are confused. [01:57:25] Tracking fuel prices is harder than tracking the stock market. [01:57:29] Now, timing is also important. We asked [01:57:33] the public: When and according to what do you decide to fill [01:57:36] your tank? Honestly, we can't really decide that in Turkey [01:57:40] anymore, because it's volatile every day. [01:57:43] We buy fuel when it hits rock bottom, [01:57:46] that is. The price, that is, [01:57:49] as much as our money allows, according to my needs [01:57:53] or my pocket, mostly my pocket. Sometimes I go [01:57:56] on intercity trips, in this case, [01:57:59] my eyes are always on the signs, wondering which one [01:58:03] will have a discount, which one will have a price [01:58:06] increase. It might be easier to track the stock market, because [01:58:10] why, the screens are always in front of your eyes, but it's not like that here. [01:58:14] Will you follow the road, or will you follow the [01:58:17] labels on the road? These are huge problems. When my tank [01:58:20] is empty, I have to fill it, meaning I don't look at price increases or discounts, [01:58:24] but when there is a discount, that becomes our loss. For example, [01:58:27] I filled my tank now, but if there's a discount at night, [01:58:31] I'll lose money, that's what I mean. We can no longer track prices. [01:58:35] We can't keep up because it changes every day. One day it lowers, one day it discounts, there's no stability [01:58:39] in the country. Those discounts don't affect me at all. [01:58:42] I mean, I'll save 200 liras on 50 liters of fuel, [01:58:46] but while my tank used to cost 1500 liras to fill, [01:58:49] now it costs 4500 liras. A 200 lira discount [01:58:53] I'd get from that doesn't affect me at all. We always keep our tanks full, [01:58:56] but prices are high now, of course. [01:59:00] Well, my car runs on both gasoline and LPG. [01:59:03] I cancelled the gasoline, because fuel is very expensive. [01:59:07] LPG is also expensive, it's 30 liras in some places [01:59:11] and 35 liras in others. I don't know, I buy and use LPG, [01:59:14] but it's very bad for the engine. What can I do, I have to. They are making fun of us. [01:59:18] I mean, today they increase the price, [01:59:22] three days later they say there's a discount. What's the point? [01:59:26] I mean, it will come again. It will come again in three days. [01:59:30] I think it's an election investment, but people can't be fooled. [01:59:32] boyamamaz. [01:59:50] Hello from Halk TV screens, I'm İrem Sansak, and we are with Haber Masası. [01:59:53] It's the first day of the week, and on the first day, there is [01:59:57] again a busy and eventful agenda. We will discuss the headlines one by one. [02:00:01] The day started with operations, the first bell rang, let's bring [02:00:05] the headlines and discuss them one by one. The first bell rang, millions of [02:00:08] students reunited with their teachers, schools, and desks today. [02:00:12] Of course, school started. How did school start? [02:00:16] It started with expenses. School preparations and supplies [02:00:20] are unfortunately breaking the backs of families. Families [02:00:23] are concerned about this issue, and we will discuss it one by one. [02:00:26] And of course, the first bell rang, and operations immediately followed. [02:00:30] The "Streets are Safe" operation was carried out, and legal [02:00:34] action was taken against many people. There are 2,000 legal actions [02:00:38] and not only operations on the streets, [02:00:42] but also narcotic operations are taking place in many [02:00:45] regions. We will discuss the details [02:00:47] of these operations. The Kozinoğlu investigation. [02:00:51] Kaşif Kozinoğlu was a former and important manager [02:00:54] of the National Intelligence Organization. He held critical positions [02:00:58] and was to appear in court.
