And thank when security and peace crises intersect with development and climate challenges [00:02:56] and technology, Jordan is at the heart of the international scene [00:03:00] through the participation of His Majesty King [00:03:02] of nature. This Abdullah II in the 78th [00:03:05] to be referred to the session of the United Nations [00:03:07] General Assembly, carrying with him a Jordanian vision [00:03:11] that places peace, stability, justice, and development [00:03:15] at the forefront of priorities. [00:03:17] In addition to the speech that His Majesty [00:03:20] or target was to reduce the pressure on the King will deliver to the participants in the meetings, His Majesty is keen [00:03:23] to attend the General Assembly sessions, where he will hold on [00:03:27] its sidelines a series of meetings with leaders of states, [00:03:30] heads of delegations, and decision-makers in [00:03:33] the framework of an intensive diplomatic movement that reflects Jordan's [00:03:37] the dignity of peoples in this field and in this keenness to deal with regional and international [00:03:40] issues. [00:03:42] architecture comes from These meetings provide His Majesty with an opportunity to discuss priority [00:03:45] issues for [00:03:49] story in biodiversity Israel has projects in Jordan and the region, and builder. It's not enhance coordination with brotherly and friendly countries, and support [00:03:53] bear its responsibilities in efforts aimed at de-escalation and addressing crises [00:03:57] years, many through political [00:03:58] whether Iranian or Israeli, in and diplomatic means. The eyes of the international community turn this year to [00:04:02] New York to await the deliberations and discussions [00:04:05] of leaders on the important issues on the agenda, [00:04:08] foremost among them armed conflicts, [00:04:12] humanitarian crises, food security, climate [00:04:16] and activating evening shifts in change, and sustainable and the consequences, crises, and wars in development, in addition to the future of global [00:04:20] governance in light of rapid technological [00:04:23] transformations. The general [00:04:26] citizens? Definitely. First, they relieved debate of the 78th session reduce pressure on conservation programs in the of the United Nations General [00:04:29] to governorate. Second, they eased Assembly begins on had become locally extinct in the 22nd of this [00:04:32] month and concludes on the [00:04:36] But the experience does 28th of the same [00:04:40] So, you are digitizing everything, for the Israeli entity in and a firm trace that month. In it, heads of state and government and ministers search for solutions to intertwined global [00:04:43] challenges in order [00:04:49] health facilities. How has this Jordan's position on what is happening in to promote peace, security, and sustainable development. The General Assembly's general debate [00:04:52] is an opportunity for heads of state [00:04:57] alleviates the and government to meet [00:04:59] communicate with the virtual hospital at the United Nations Headquarters and discuss global [00:05:02] issues. During it, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, [00:05:05] António Guterres, presents the annual report on [00:05:09] the organization's activities at the opening of the general debate. [00:05:20] So, we watched this report. I welcome you again, Dr. Thamer. Welcome. [00:05:24] We will start the discussion with the European tour [00:05:28] first, then we will talk about New York [00:05:30] and the speech to the United Nations General Assembly. [00:05:34] First, what was your reading of this European royal [00:05:38] visit? First, I would like to thank you for this [00:05:40] hosting, and frankly, this visit [00:05:44] started in France and [00:05:48] the United Nations General Assembly in New York. [00:05:51] In my opinion, this is not a protocol visit, and it is not a visit [00:05:55] that falls within the framework of traditional diplomacy or bilateral relations between Amman [00:05:58] and Paris. This visit, [00:06:02] in my opinion, can be classified as [00:06:05] counter-diplomacy, through which His Majesty the King seeks [00:06:08] to make Jordan a fundamental pillar [00:06:12] of peace in the Middle East. This visit also acquires [00:06:16] great strategic importance in [00:06:19] that it has many implications. [00:06:22] We are talking about political, economic, and [00:06:25] also security implications, because we also witnessed the signing [00:06:28] of a joint defense agreement between [00:06:32] Amman and Paris. Therefore, we are talking about moving from the stage [00:06:35] of security coordination to the stage of a more strategic [00:06:38] partnership that also allows Jordan the defensive [00:06:44] region that we live in today regarding wars and conflicts, [00:06:47] so that it can secure [00:06:50] its land and sovereignty and remain [00:06:53] stable. His Majesty the King, I believe [00:06:57] that this visit [00:07:00] can also be considered, in my personal opinion [00:07:03] and view, as a strategic prelude [00:07:07] to what will [00:07:10] the General Assembly, as [00:07:19] a political engineering for the European tour [00:07:23] and then going to New York. Therefore, these [00:07:27] ال [00:07:31] tour undertaken by His Majesty the King [00:07:34] only allows the Jordanian decision-maker to [00:07:38] go to New York and make Jordan's voice heard. [00:07:50] the Security Council, and therefore relying on prior [00:07:53] coordination between Jordan and [00:07:57] a country like France, which represents a large part of [00:08:00] the European Union politically. Therefore, this [00:08:03] tour, I can say that it was [00:08:07] a tour in which His Majesty the King succeeded [00:08:11] in coordinating positions between Amman [00:08:14] and Paris. There is joint coordination [00:08:17] and understandings on the Lebanese crisis [00:08:21] and what is happening today in Lebanon is of utmost importance, as [00:08:24] the Lebanese President was also present in this [00:08:27] tour. And His Majesty the King also wants to [00:08:31] give support to the legitimate institutions in the Lebanese [00:08:34] state and to stay away from the issue [00:08:38] of militias inside Lebanon, and between Hezbollah and also Israel. [00:08:52] the accuracy, and regarding the peacekeeping forces in Beirut. And also, [00:08:56] the French are part of these peacekeeping forces. The issue of supporting the Lebanese [00:09:00] army in terms of legitimacy and supporting it so that [00:09:03] it can also [00:09:06] Lebanon. Everyone knows that Lebanon [00:09:09] is suffering, and in light of these [00:09:12] crises, Professor, [00:09:16] Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty the King is rushing to adjust [00:09:19] the compass of these conflicts [00:09:22] and crises so that the region may enjoy peace, because this [00:09:25] is a real reflection on these countries. Therefore, His Majesty [00:09:29] the King coordinated positions and engineered them in a professional [00:09:32] political and diplomatic manner and in a smart tactical way [00:09:36] to go to the United Nations General [00:09:40] Assembly to translate these positions and these [00:09:43] coordinations. This is important here, and this is my second question to you. There is now a series [00:09:47] of meetings being held, followed by His Majesty [00:09:50] the King's speech at the United Nations General Assembly. In your opinion, [00:09:54] how can these meetings be used to explain [00:09:58] the region? Regional developments, the Iran war, etc., [00:10:01] everything you mentioned, I mean, Iran on one side [00:10:04] and Israel on the other. His Majesty [00:10:07] the King, in recent times, [00:10:10] we started to hear again about the Israeli narrative. But today, His Majesty the King [00:10:14] is going with a joint Euro-Arab [00:10:18] coordination and cooperation [00:10:21] and under an international umbrella [00:10:25] of the size of France, and this, by the way, greatly annoys [00:10:28] the Israeli side, because the Israeli side does not want all these [00:10:32] security arrangements and diplomatic moves of His Majesty [00:10:36] the King. Therefore, today he went to the United Nations General [00:10:39] Assembly with a vision for the Middle [00:10:42] East and with a counter-narrative to the Israeli [00:10:45] narrative, because there are also issues that were agreed [00:10:49] upon with the French side, I believe, such as the issue of [00:10:52] displacement, and we are talking about the issue of Hashemite guardianship. [00:10:55] There is great harmony between these [00:10:58] interests and these views between Amman and Paris, and also Lebanese [00:11:02] support. Therefore, we are talking about [00:11:06] these three issues that bother Israel [00:11:09] at the same time. Therefore, His Majesty [00:11:13] the King is going to defend the interests of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He defends his people. [00:11:16] He defends his kingdom within [00:11:20] an international umbrella against all these conflicts [00:11:23] and disputes that are happening today. It is true that some [00:11:27] may ask where is the role of the United Nations [00:11:30] in light of the non-application of international law and international [00:11:34] legitimacy and so on, but this platform [00:11:37] today, up to this moment, is the only one available. Therefore, [00:11:40] we must deal with it as an international organization that has [00:11:44] legal personality, even though it was assassinated recently. [00:11:48] However, there is no international platform other than the United Nations General Assembly [00:11:51] and the Security Council. And France is a member of the Security [00:11:55] Council of the United Nations. [00:11:59] Therefore, His Majesty the King went armed with this [00:12:02] legitimacy and his conviction [00:12:05] that the issue of peace is of utmost [00:12:09] importance. How long will these countries remain in a state of conflict [00:12:12] and war and carrying [00:12:15] the region? I mean, the messages that you expect in the speech regarding [00:12:19] de-escalation, protecting Jordan first, [00:12:22] and finally, rejecting the displacement of Palestinians, for sure, for sure. [00:12:26] What concerns His Majesty the King today are the interests of Jordan, but also [00:12:30] the interests of the region are among the interests of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan [00:12:33] in light of the tensions [00:12:36] Jordan. [00:12:39] Look at what happened in Syria, in Iraq, [00:12:42] in Iran. All of them are reflected. We cannot [00:12:45] separate Jordan from the region. But today, His Majesty the King's goal is to [00:12:49] transform these regional demands in the Middle [00:12:52] East into international [00:13:04] resolutions. These international organizations and leaders [00:13:09] a doubt, there is also a shift in the European position regarding Palestine [00:13:13] and the necessity of a two-state solution. And here, His Majesty the King [00:13:17] always emphasizes rejecting displacement of Palestinian lands and the two-state solution. How [00:13:21] can we read the importance of re-raising these positions before the world? [00:13:25] I mean, there is coordination not only because [00:13:28] there is anticipation for the opening of the United [00:13:32] Nations General Assembly or its proceedings. There is [00:13:35] diligent work, in my opinion, by His Majesty the King regarding all these [00:13:38] problems that the region is suffering from. But [00:13:41] His Majesty the King invests in these positions and these meetings to confirm [00:13:45] Jordan's position at home and abroad, inside Jordan and outside [00:13:48] Jordan, and these are [00:13:51] sincere royal messages that the interest of Jordan [00:13:55] and the interest of the Jordanian people are above all considerations. [00:13:58] Therefore, this is what concerns His Majesty the King. There are many messages [00:14:01] for both internal and external audiences, as [00:14:05] we have recently heard that there are certain arrangements regarding displacement and other issues. [00:14:09] Without a doubt, [00:14:12] the region, but in light of the rise of imperialisms in [00:14:16] the Middle East and in light of the escalation of [00:14:19] expansion, [00:14:23] the region, and the violation of international law and international humanitarian law and the violation [00:14:27] of state sovereignty, I believe that His Majesty [00:14:30] the King will convey the voice of Jordan and the voice of wisdom [00:14:34] and the voice of reason in the corridors of the United Nations. [00:14:37] There are leaders and there are European leaders who are still [00:14:41] adhering to the issue of international law, and there are [00:14:44] question marks about Israeli practices in the region. Therefore, [00:14:48] this effort and this great role played by His Majesty [00:14:51] the King cannot be denied. And [00:14:55] I mean, in every way, there is [00:14:59] absolute support [00:15:02] the region from the United States of America and from many countries. [00:15:06] But Jordan also has its say, Jordan has its right to defend [00:15:10] itself and to continue in this matter. [00:15:14] I believe that coordinating positions is of utmost importance when [00:15:17] His Majesty the King goes to the United Nations and restores [00:15:20] the Arab role. And also, [00:15:23] Jordan today, or His Majesty the King, also needs joint [00:15:27] Arab support to support these positions. I mean, there is an expansion of tension. We are talking [00:15:30] about Gaza, we are talking about the West Bank, Lebanon, [00:15:33] Syria. [00:15:35] The region's articles and repercussions on Jordan are many, [00:15:39] politically, economically, and even [00:15:42] security-wise. Today, the system has become violated, [00:15:45] the security system in Arab countries. Therefore, there must [00:15:48] be an Arab awakening. There is an awakening, but there are Jordanian preparations. What is the importance [00:15:52] of these Jordanian preparations? Always, especially since [00:15:56] the world knows what is happening, or we are not [00:15:59] Switzerland, by the way. So, preparations must always be present, indeed. [00:16:03] I mean, we are surrounded by these conflicts and these [00:16:06] wars. Jordan is the security of the entire region. Therefore, when [00:16:09] His Majesty the King went to coordinate and to have, look [00:16:13] how Jordan is present diplomatically. [00:16:16] The Aqaba meetings related to Lebanese affairs were moved [00:16:20] and transferred to Paris. [00:16:23] This legitimacy and credibility are enjoyed by His Majesty the King, [00:16:26] considering that he is a symbol and an icon of peace in the Middle [00:16:29] East. There is no Arab leader who does what His Majesty the King [00:16:33] does in terms of diplomatic movements [00:16:36] in support of de-escalation, as you [00:16:39] mentioned. The issue of preserving the sovereignty of states has [00:16:43] been violated. The sovereignty of states has no legal value, [00:16:46] considering that the state [00:16:52] rise of imperialisms, as I mentioned, [00:16:55] I believe that all these charters [00:16:58] and international laws have been violated. Therefore, the issue [00:17:02] of re-adjusting this compass [00:17:04] in the way or as His Majesty the King's conscience [00:17:08] dictates, for the sake of his country's interest and [00:17:11] its security. He is playing this role, but there must be continuous [00:17:15] support for His Majesty the King's [00:17:19] positions. And by the way, Professor, let's go back before the European tour. [00:17:22] His Majesty the King's tour to the People's Republic of China [00:17:25] preceded it, and there was a convergence of interests [00:17:29] and a meeting on many issues, meaning agreement on [00:17:32] the issue of Syria, on the issue [00:17:36] of stopping the war on the Gaza Strip, the necessity of opening humanitarian [00:17:39] aid and supplies [00:17:43] to the people of Gaza, the issue of solving the Palestinian [00:17:46] issue. There are international agreements [00:17:49] that Jordan is pursuing and moving forward with, and His Majesty the King [00:17:53] has in his mind and in his thoughts that Jordan is also present [00:17:56] domestically. The issue of technological development, these are very important issues. [00:18:00] When we talk about national security, we talk about agriculture, we talk about [00:18:04] industry, we talk about technology and artificial intelligence. All [00:18:07] of these are dynamics [00:18:11] that His Majesty the King seeks to have, and therefore [00:18:15] it is a dynamic pulse for these countries [00:18:18] for Jordan's orientations in the way that Jordan [00:18:22] can deal with, and in the way of confronting [00:18:24] the Israeli entity within days in the United Nations General Assembly [00:18:28] and the Security Council. Yes, I mean, I want to go back to [00:18:32] a very important point that you mentioned, which is presiding [00:18:35] over the Aqaba meetings in France, and also His Majesty the King presided [00:18:39] over the French President and the Lebanese President. We want to talk more [00:18:43] about the implications of this. How do you interpret it? I believe that Jordan [00:18:47] was able and succeeded in activating what is called conference diplomacy. These are [00:18:50] meetings, they are conferences, conferences, and transferring them to these [00:18:54] countries. In other words, transferring these meetings means that there [00:18:58] is a French interest in these meetings, and there is [00:19:01] Jordanian, French, and Lebanese agreement on the issue or [00:19:05] the role that His Majesty the King plays in supporting [00:19:08] the Lebanese people, and also curbing the Israeli [00:19:12] entity in Lebanon. I mean, Netanyahu, [00:19:15] in the history of Israel, they have never taken an inch and given it up. [00:19:19] Therefore, the issue of Netanyahu stopping at these matters, [00:19:23] he does not want all these movements, and he does not want to support [00:19:26] the Lebanese army. On the contrary, he wants to get rid of [00:19:29] the UNIFIL peacekeeping forces because he is unable [00:19:33] to implement Resolution 1701. [00:19:36] Therefore, there are justifications and there is a narrative [00:19:39] that Netanyahu and the Israeli entity convey to the United [00:19:42] States of America about the way in which he can [00:19:46] expand and broaden [00:19:49] the scope of his settlement and ambitions in the Middle [00:19:52] East. And also, I mean, the issue of [00:19:55] the new Middle East, how he [00:19:59] wanted any peace agreement, even the peace agreement, I don't want to get into [00:20:02] other topics, because His Majesty's visit is more important than [00:20:06] all topics. And Jordan's interest, but look at [00:20:10] Netanyahu's reading of the peace agreement between Iran [00:20:13] and the ceasefire between Iran and the United States. He worked hard [00:20:17] to abort it, meaning he does not want any peace to be achieved in the region. [00:20:20] He wants the region to remain in a state of rampant and continuous [00:20:24] chaos and escalation to achieve his personal [00:20:26] and national goals, as he believes, [00:20:30] for the Israeli entity. Go ahead. Yes, please allow us, [00:20:34] our dear guest, the correspondent of Jordan TV, colleague [00:20:38] Randa is now in New York. We will go live to her, viewers. So, [00:20:42] we have now from New York, live, Jordan TV correspondent [00:20:45] Randa Karameh. Randa, good [00:20:48] evening. What are the latest developments, especially [00:20:52] His Majesty the King's visit and his anticipated speech at the United [00:20:55] Nations? [00:21:01] Good evening, Laila, and all our viewers, [00:21:04] through Jordan TV and Masarat program, we return [00:21:08] to you from a rainy, cold, and crowded New York [00:21:11] in preparation for the United [00:21:15] Nations General Assembly meetings. Tomorrow, His Majesty King [00:21:19] Abdullah II will hold a series of bilateral meetings with leaders [00:21:22] and presidents of a number of countries on the sidelines of the United Nations [00:21:25] General Assembly meetings. These meetings will certainly focus on Jordan's [00:21:29] relations with these countries, but they also come at a moment of extreme [00:21:33] regional sensitivity, which places the region's developments and ways to de-escalate [00:21:36] and restore calm at the core of its discussions. [00:21:39] And these meetings certainly include Jordan's positions [00:21:42] on the war with Iran and its repercussions [00:21:46] on the region's security and stability, in addition to the danger of Israeli [00:21:50] practices in the Palestinian territories, Syria, [00:21:52] and Lebanon, and the risks of policies aimed at displacing [00:21:56] Palestinians from their land. The continuation of the state of [00:22:00] only threatens the region's security but also has direct repercussions [00:22:04] on its economies, and we saw that on the Jordanian [00:22:08] economy and its impact during the past years. His Majesty the King [00:22:11] will also continue his meetings on Tuesday before [00:22:14] delivering his speech to the United Nations General Assembly as [00:22:18] the second speaker. [00:22:20] This participation is of particular importance. The General Assembly is not only [00:22:24] a platform for presenting positions, but also a space for direct [00:22:27] communication between world leaders and rallying more effective international support [00:22:31] for the region's crises. From here, Jordanian participation carries [00:22:34] a clear message about the need to intensify international efforts [00:22:37] to de-escalate and prevent the expansion [00:22:40] of the confrontation and to work to restore security and stability. [00:22:44] Laila, we will keep you and Jordan TV viewers informed of all [00:22:48] the details of these meetings tomorrow and certainly the anticipated [00:22:51] speech on Tuesday. Be with us for sure from New York, [00:22:55] live. Thank you very much. Thank you, Randa. We will certainly [00:22:58] be with you step by step. Thank you very much. You were with us [00:23:02] from New York, Randa Karamah. Doctor, [00:23:08] meeting, His Majesty will be the third [00:23:11] speaker, and this is an important issue. [00:23:15] What is the significance of all these issues or [00:23:19] how can we interpret the diplomatic movement and all [00:23:22] these efforts? I mean, let's summarize them at the end of this. I want to go back [00:23:28] last year at the United Nations General Assembly when he warned the international [00:23:31] community of the region's slide into conflicts [00:23:35] and wars. Also, in other words, the expansion of conflicts [00:23:38] and wars in the region. His Majesty [00:23:41] the King will remind the leaders [00:23:44] of what he said a year [00:23:46] ago, that today it is the responsibility of the international community. [00:24:00] These conflicts do not only affect developing countries or countries in the region [00:24:03] only. No, they cannot be considered or taken in this way or this perspective. [00:24:07] They have reflected on the American domestic scene, entered the European [00:24:10] domestic scene, harmed the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, [00:24:14] and harmed all countries of the world. Therefore, this [00:24:18] issue of having international relations that respect [00:24:22] the law, respect international law and international humanitarian law, and do not violate [00:24:27] framework, and that [00:24:30] it is also necessary that these organizations, [00:24:34] the international organizations, do their work and [00:24:37] act in a way that avoids [00:24:40] favoritism and bias in this matter, and the process [00:24:44] of double standards that Israel always [00:24:48] relies on in its policy, in its conduct within [00:24:52] political, diplomatic, and ethical work. [00:24:55] And I believe that His Majesty the King's speech [00:24:58] will be comprehensive [00:25:00] and general regarding the Middle East [00:25:06] the region. May God protect His Majesty and [00:25:10] may God protect Jordan, and we always wish for peace for our people [00:25:14] and for our region in general, and for the whole world. We will all certainly [00:25:17] await this speech. Thank you very much. I thank Dr. Samer [00:25:21] Al-Anaswah, political analyst and writer. Thank you very much. You are welcome. [00:25:25] We will now take a break, viewers, after which we will discuss the second topic of our episode. Stay with us. [00:25:52] Every day we hear a lot about economic challenges [00:25:54] and opportunities. [00:25:58] We will talk about your problems and see where [00:26:01] we have reached. [00:26:06] Mashallah, the fast transit system really allowed [00:26:09] us to get to our destinations quickly. Oh, I wish government transactions [00:26:13] were also like Ba, all on the phone. Our youth's [00:26:17] dreams, how can we achieve them [00:26:20] and how can we reach [00:26:23] them? We will be with them [00:26:25] and take their opinions. [00:26:44] Positive ideas have always been firmly established. A weekly [00:26:48] window through which we open many [00:26:50] files [00:26:54] with field reports, accurate information, [00:26:57] and polling your opinions for research [00:27:00] and analysis and following up on developments. 60 [00:27:04] minutes. Events from different angles. [00:27:44] Good evening, viewers, and welcome again. We continue with you on Masarat, [00:27:48] and now to the second topic of our episode. New health [00:27:51] centers, facilities that have been rehabilitated, evening shifts, [00:27:54] pharmaceutical services delivered to homes, in addition to expanding [00:27:58] the scope of digital transformation. All these steps raise a fundamental [00:28:01] question: To what extent have these measures actually reflected on the citizen's [00:28:07] healthcare? To talk about this topic, we are pleased to [00:28:11] welcome our guest in the studio, Dr. Riyad Al-Shiyab, Secretary-General [00:28:14] of Primary Healthcare and Epidemics. Good evening and welcome, [00:28:17] Doctor. Good evening. May God give you [00:28:21] report, then we will begin our discussion and conversation. Let's watch [00:28:24] the report. From hospitals to health [00:28:28] centers, the health sector witnessed in the past two years a significant [00:28:31] expansion in health facilities in all governorates [00:28:35] of the Kingdom. In the north of the Kingdom, Princess Basma [00:28:38] Hospital was opened and developed with a capacity [00:28:41] of 504 beds, while the first phase [00:28:44] of the expansion and modernization of Princess Eman Government [00:28:48] Hospital was completed in seven months. In Madaba [00:28:51] Governorate, the construction of the new [00:28:54] about 10 years of delay, while a department for open-heart [00:28:58] surgery was established and equipped at Zarqa Hospital. In the field [00:29:01] of healthcare, the Care program for securing [00:29:04] cancer treatment came into effect at the beginning of this year [00:29:08] to include about 42,000 [00:29:10] citizens at a cost of 132 million [00:29:14] dinars. Digitally, remote consultation services expanded, [00:29:18] and about 49,000 patients benefited from [00:29:21] the remote diagnostic imaging service, in addition to heart, [00:29:24] endocrine, intensive care, nutrition, and dialysis [00:29:27] services. 14 new health centers were also [00:29:31] established, and 49 centers were renovated [00:29:35] in various governorates, in addition to computerizing [00:29:38] 156 additional health facilities, [00:29:41] bringing the total number of computerized health facilities to [00:29:44] 431 facilities. The Ministry of Health is working [00:29:47] to develop services and enhance [00:29:51] its ability to provide its services better [00:29:54] to citizens during work. In the past two [00:29:59] facilities belonging to the Ministry of Health have been opened, which [00:30:03] have helped and enabled the Ministry of Health to develop its services. The bed [00:30:06] occupancy rate has increased by 10% in the past two [00:30:10] years. The measures also included strengthening [00:30:13] the drug stock and expanding the service of delivering medicines to homes, [00:30:18] the health centers surrounding Al-Bashir Hospital, Prince [00:30:22] Faisal Hospital, and New Zarqa. In the field [00:30:25] hospital in Amman, a dialysis department was established with [00:30:28] a capacity of 40 beds, and intensive care with 44 [00:30:32] beds, and emergency and ambulance with 70 beds. Also, two [00:30:36] new vaccines were introduced to the national vaccination program, and unified [00:30:40] protocols were launched for the treatment of cancer, heart attacks, and [00:30:43] strokes. The Ministry of Health aims, through [00:30:47] royal directives and [00:30:50] governmental directives, to provide a service [00:30:53] at an ideal time, to provide a service [00:30:57] that patient's [00:31:00] and citizen's hardship of moving from place to [00:31:04] place, to provide a distinguished service. [00:31:08] Between facility expansion, digital transformation, and strengthening [00:31:11] staff and services, health sector development projects continue with the aim [00:31:15] of improving citizens' access to healthcare, reducing waiting [00:31:18] times, and the need to travel between governorates. Muhammad [00:31:22] Al-Lunsi, Jordanian TV. [00:31:24] So, [00:31:29] we watched this report. I would like to welcome you again, Dr. Riyad. Welcome, and good [00:31:32] evening. We are talking about two years where we saw, [00:31:36] the report summarized briefly, the most [00:31:39] prominent achievements: 14 new health centers, 49 [00:31:43] centers were rehabilitated, and their rehabilitation and maintenance took place during the past [00:31:47] two years. If we were to talk about the most prominent, or what actually changed at [00:31:51] the level of primary healthcare provided to the Jordanian [00:31:54] citizen. Good [00:31:57] the hosting. Welcome. It's an opportunity for us to express our achievements in the Ministry [00:32:01] of Health. Yes, as you know, Madam, [00:32:05] the past two [00:32:08] years a series of projects, true, [00:32:11] and decisions and programs that exist at the level of the Ministry of Health. [00:32:15] All of this is to expand the capacity of [00:32:18] hospitals and health centers. [00:32:21] In the last two years, 14 health centers were established in [00:32:25] different regions of the Kingdom. These centers [00:32:29] currently are operating [00:32:31] and are fully [00:32:35] staffed with medical personnel, yes. And these [00:32:38] centers serve the citizens in that area. Yes, yes. They provide them with complete [00:32:42] and integrated healthcare. And with the directives [00:32:45] of His Excellency the Minister, we always strive to provide comprehensive healthcare [00:32:50] hospitals. We provide these centers with specialists [00:32:53] and general practitioners, and we provide laboratory [00:32:57] services, dental services, maternal and child care, and [00:33:01] complete and integrated primary healthcare for the citizen, so that we [00:33:06] the hospital currently. And thank God, we now have a sufficient number of [00:33:09] specialist doctors and family doctors who have been distributed to comprehensive [00:33:13] health centers and some primary health centers who provide services and evaluate the patient's [00:33:18] the health centers, true. If there was [00:33:22] a situation, as you know, primary [00:33:25] healthcare, which is the health center, is the main gateway [00:33:28] for the citizen to first receive the service, [00:33:31] providing the service. Our comprehensive [00:33:35] health centers across the Kingdom are like mini-hospitals. [00:33:38] Yes, when a Jordanian citizen goes to these centers, [00:33:42] they are received by a general practitioner, and if they need a specialist, [00:33:46] they are referred to the specialist in the same center and their condition is [00:33:50] evaluated, necessary medical tests are performed, and necessary radiological tests are performed, and this [00:33:53] condition is diagnosed. They can get their treatments from the same [00:33:57] center and go home. Yes, cases that require [00:34:00] hospitalization or follow-up by some specialists in [00:34:06] God, through the digital system, the electronic [00:34:09] system that we currently have, transfers to hospitals have become [00:34:13] easy and in coordination with the doctors present, and [00:34:15] through as you know, we have [00:34:19] the digital center in the governorate [00:34:22] of Salt, which is also a [00:34:24] virtual hospital, through which [00:34:28] remote communication and medical treatment take place. So, first of all, to solve [00:34:32] the problem, your goal [00:34:35] hospitals because there was a lot of pressure, so you went for the [00:34:39] centers. And what matters to me is that the citizen gets a complete and integrated service when they enter a health [00:34:43] center. Their condition is followed up, cases are [00:34:46] classified. 80% of medical cases are [00:34:50] treated in health centers and they receive their treatments, and there is [00:34:54] no need for hospitalization, there is no [00:34:57] need. However, the critical cases [00:35:01] are not to forget that we also activated them at the governorate [00:35:04] level. Of course, the 49 centers that were maintained and expanded at the same time, these centers [00:35:08] were also expanded in order to expand [00:35:12] healthcare services available from specialized clinics [00:35:15] and dental services. Currently, in our health centers, dental services are provided [00:35:19] in a comprehensive manner by all dental specialists, from root canal treatment to orthodontics [00:35:23] to prosthetics. There is no need for patients [00:35:27] to go to the hospital, as the service is available and close. And as the Ministry [00:35:31] of Health, we are keen to alleviate the suffering of citizens. And truly, my question to you is, did [00:35:34] these measures in health centers [00:35:37] hospitals and help [00:35:41] citizens of the hardship of moving from governorate [00:35:44] the citizen's suffering of receiving treatment close to home. [00:35:47] Right. Third, if the patient needed any [00:35:50] treatment, yes, or for example, [00:35:54] the doctor in the center can refer [00:35:56] them to a doctor. We have a program [00:35:59] to communicate with the virtual hospital for consultations [00:36:03] and X-rays, and even for endocrine diseases. So, a patient [00:36:07] might come to this health center and not find the specialist there, but [00:36:11] the family doctor there can [00:36:14] and the specialist, whether an x-ray doctor or [00:36:18] an endocrinologist. And through that, [00:36:20] consultations and remote medical treatment [00:36:24] are carried out, benefiting citizens who have entered this [00:36:27] system. I can give you numbers as well. How many doctors, how many beneficiaries of this [00:36:30] service? And currently, we are working, with the directives of His Excellency the Minister, to expand this remote [00:36:35] in governorates and other areas. Of course, you answered [00:36:39] my question about the governorates. I was going to ask about it separately. So, by developing [00:36:43] health centers in the governorates, you have relieved citizens from having to travel [00:36:46] to the capital. This is our main role, that the citizen receives their service in [00:36:50] their area. Okay, I also have [00:36:54] a question for you. Reducing waiting [00:36:58] periods is one of the main goals for one of the most important goals that the [00:37:01] Ministry of Health seeks to reduce congestion, especially in hospitals. Yes, [00:37:04] okay. And activation has been done currently. So, it's a [00:37:07] plan that exists in the Ministry of Health and will be generalized to all governorates in the Kingdom. [00:37:11] And currently, under the directives of His Excellency, we have started working [00:37:15] in the capital governorate, Amman. Yes, six [00:37:19] centers have been activated for the [00:37:22] 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Okay. [00:37:25] The peak period when [00:37:27] there is a medical peak, when Al-Bashir has the most cases that reach [00:37:31] Al-Bashir Hospital in the evening, and Prince Hazem Hospital in the evening, between [00:37:35] 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. So, you created a new [00:37:38] pattern in health centers. People now go to our centers, which are covered by specialists [00:37:42] and general practitioners, and the service is provided as [00:37:45] it is in the morning period. Okay. And currently, approximately 20,000 [00:37:49] to 20,000 citizens visit these centers [00:37:53] in the evening period monthly. Yes. Let me go back to the issue of telemedicine. [00:37:56] Let's go back. [00:38:01] The numbers for telemedicine depend on whether they are for [00:38:04] consultations or for [00:38:07] specialized consultations. The number is [00:38:11] 4948. [00:38:13] 49. Yes, yes. Good. This is in terms of [00:38:17] who benefited from its critical care service, who are ICU [00:38:20] patients. [00:38:58] idea at first, [00:39:02] for example, it might be at first, but you're talking about numbers, 49. I mean, I'm the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health and responsible for health centers, but I tell you that [00:39:09] the governorates, are the same [00:39:11] the centers in the capital [00:39:14] governorates. There is no difference. The same services [00:39:17] are provided. Telemedicine, when I have telemedicine in the [00:39:21] northern Jordan Valley, and I receive a patient with chest pain, [00:39:25] and we do an ECG and enzymes, [00:39:29] a cardiologist's consultation. The cardiologist can assess whether this patient needs [00:39:32] hospital directly for a cardiac catheterization [00:39:36] and to save the patient. So, many citizens have benefited from this [00:39:40] stage. Of course, of course. Perhaps the beginning is difficult, but when you see the solution in front of you, [00:39:44] it saves you effort and saves you time. This is very important. Yes, currently [00:39:47] in Zarqa governorate, we also have six health centers. These centers also [00:39:51] operate during the evening period. Yes. [00:39:54] And they have significantly reduced the burden, approximately between 15,000 to 16,000 [00:39:57] cases monthly visit these centers in the evening [00:40:01] period. This has relieved Prince Faisal Hospital of congestion and also reduced [00:40:05] congestion at Zarqa Governmental Hospital. [00:40:07] Zarqa Governmental Hospital currently, thank God, there was always a shortage of beds [00:40:11] and there was always pressure between hospitals. Currently, we strive to provide [00:40:15] the largest, meaning we strive not to have a situation where the disease classification [00:40:19] and patient assessment limits the process of admission, [00:40:23] limiting it when there are beds available. The diagnosis, the correct [00:40:26] medical diagnosis. [00:40:37] cardiac catheterization, yes, meaning the existing 18,000 catheterizations during a year, during a year, during a year, [00:40:39] yes. 200 and [00:40:43] 200 500 of those who underwent catheterization, meaning emergency [00:40:47] cases, acute approximately [00:40:49] 352 cases. Yes, in addition to heart [00:40:53] surgery cases, which are performed, I expect 27 [00:40:56] cases have been done. Yes. Zarqa Governmental Hospital, heart [00:40:59] surgery. This service is currently provided in our governmental [00:41:02] hospitals in other governorates outside the capital, of course. Of course. Okay. [00:41:08] moving towards computerization. Now, when we talk about computerized [00:41:11] health facilities, it has reached 461 [00:41:16] digital transformation affected the work of the centers and the patient's experience? We consider [00:41:20] both sides, meaning the center is important and the Ministry [00:41:23] of Health is also important to the Jordanian citizen. Certainly, sir, we currently have [00:41:27] approximately 595 health centers geographically distributed across [00:41:31] the Kingdom. Currently, we have approximately [00:41:34] 393 computerized health centers. [00:41:37] The governance system has 31 computerized hospitals. [00:41:40] Thank God, electronic communication and referrals have become smooth and easy. [00:41:44] And it is very easy to identify the patient's file by [00:41:48] entering the number, everything appears, even the medication system, treatments, and distribution [00:41:51] of medications, and the drug supply chain that we have. When I enter the Amman [00:41:55] Comprehensive Center, I get my medication. I can't go get it from any other center. Oh, now [00:41:59] because I, because on the Hakim system, I took it, it's set for every 30 days to come [00:42:02] and get medication for chronic diseases. After 31 days, I get it. In the previous [00:42:05] days, I used to go to the Amman Comprehensive Center, get it on my insurance, then go to [00:42:09] receive more medication. So, it was allowed. Now everything [00:42:13] is clear. This controlled the matter. Good. And the medicine delivery service [00:42:17] to homes. This is also an excellent service. I mean, honestly, I [00:42:21] heard from citizens how happy they are with this service. You're talking about [00:42:24] this service exceeding 147,000 individual [00:42:27] medication packages. So, you've relieved a lot of people who used to come in the morning and wait in line to [00:42:33] system, and the medication package is delivered to their home. 147,000 [00:42:37] and 147. Mm. [00:42:40] vacation with your family through home [00:42:43] delivery. Through your program and through [00:42:46] Jordanian TV, I would like to send a message [00:42:49] to especially those [00:42:53] who suffer from chronic diseases and who need to go to [00:42:56] health centers so that they can receive their medication via delivery [00:43:00] for two dinars. It reaches you. Yes, I mean, if you are being treated in [00:43:03] Al-Bashir Hospital and need medication, there is no need to come from Karak, Irbid, Aqaba, [00:43:07] Ramtha, or any region. You can receive [00:43:10] your medication for two dinars from any place, any governorate. [00:43:14] Two dinars, and you get all your medications. And if there is a shortage, [00:43:17] how much should they order online? No, it's 10 days before the medication runs out. You order [00:43:21] it, and you pay [00:43:24] within four, within 24 hours. You pay after [00:43:27] 24 hours, and your medication arrives. And if there is a shortage of any medication, you can communicate [00:43:31] through the platform, and your medication will arrive. It must be replaced. Ah, for example, [00:43:34] a shortage, for example, a diabetes medication is not available, [00:43:38] there is a substitute. [00:43:43] They can communicate with the relevant party through the platform, and all medications will reach them. This [00:43:47] first of all reduces congestion in hospitals and reduces congestion and suffering for the citizen [00:43:51] themselves, as their medication reaches them. Of course, of course. We are also talking about [00:43:54] civilian and military patients. [00:43:58] Look, we in the Ministry of Health provide services to all Jordanians. We are [00:44:01] 12 million, 13 million. We provide services to health centers. [00:44:04] The health centers located geographically across [00:44:07] the Kingdom for the capable and the less capable, and for military and civilian insured, [00:44:11] they receive the service. Yes, certainly, yes. And we even have checkups, meaning [00:44:14] 40 piasters, meaning it's not a lot. Yes, I mean, bless you. I am sure [00:44:18] everyone who is watching and everyone who is, on the ground, the achievements are honestly [00:44:22] there, that you are working diligently at the ministry, and the [00:44:26] future will bring important projects [00:44:29] to improve the experience of the Jordanian patient [00:44:32] hospitals. Certainly, we are a service ministry that works 24 [00:44:36] hours a day, and hopefully I mean, [00:44:40] the expansion [00:44:43] of projects, health facilities, services, and strategic [00:44:46] plans, and the ministerial team led by His Excellency [00:44:49] the Minister, hopefully it will be clear on [00:44:52] the ground. Our duty as media is always to highlight this great [00:44:56] role you are playing. May God give you health and wellness. Thank you. Thank you, [00:44:59] Dr. Riyad Al-Shiab, Secretary-General of Primary Health Care and Epidemics at the Ministry [00:45:03] of Health. Thank you, sir. Have a good evening. Welcome to you, and our thanks are extended [00:45:07] to you, viewers. We have reached the end of our episode. We thank you for your generous [00:45:10] follow-up. In God's care.
