[00:02:45] thank God, in the Yasmine, to the women participating [00:02:45] the conference that is currently [00:02:53] warning system was the first and to encourage them [00:02:57] to the coordination with market. This conference, a large number of [00:03:02] encourage women to obtain [00:03:13] as well as preserving [00:03:17] face. Through this [00:03:18] activation system in case of floods, [00:03:23] With the approaching winter season, [00:03:28] focus is always placed on the readings reliable sources, and obtain the Tafilah Agriculture Directorate is implementing projects to preserve [00:03:31] readiness to face and deal with the plant cover, which [00:03:33] who was with us this morning. has seen a significant decline in [00:03:34] very low in terms of recent years due to poor with the support of the Migration [00:03:37] This necessitated efforts to intensify efforts [00:03:40] to limit this decline. On [00:03:43] another note, the [00:03:47] and, well, women's governorate witnessed heavy thunderstorms in the past two days. We will learn [00:03:51] the international labor market. more about this from our correspondent from Tafilah Governorate, Ayman Al-Fajra, [00:03:55] and his guest, the Director of the Tafilah Agriculture Directorate, [00:03:58] Engineer [00:04:00] the Migration and Development Centers Bilal Al-Haloul. Ayman, good morning. My question [00:04:04] to you and your esteemed guest is about the most prominent [00:04:07] measures being implemented by [00:04:09] and southern regions of the Tafilah Agriculture Directorate to preserve the plant [00:04:11] women, in the international labor cover and also to limit [00:04:12] and to your esteemed guest, its decline in light of the improvement [00:04:16] the program implemented with the Princess in recent rainfall. market. Okay, this [00:04:16] Please go ahead. [00:04:20] Yes, good morning to you and all our beloved viewers. There is no [00:04:24] doubt that we have entered the winter season, so [00:04:27] there must be measures [00:04:31] at the level of all relevant government departments. [00:04:34] The Tafilah Agriculture Directorate is not an exception to this [00:04:38] and the full partnership with matter, so it has prepared [00:04:41] for the winter season by utilizing [00:04:44] the remaining plant cover in Tafilah Governorate [00:04:50] registered in where we are in due to the poor previous rainy seasons, which witnessed a scarcity [00:04:52] of rain. In some years, [00:04:56] of tourism and heritage in it reached 80% and its residents hope, God willing, or rather, 80 mm, [00:04:58] guest who was with us this which is about [00:05:00] 250 mm. So there was a large gap in the numbers. [00:05:04] To do that [00:05:08] women to and preserve the plant cover, it was necessary to collect water on the trees [00:05:11] so that these trees could regain their health, and therefore [00:05:15] these projects that are currently being implemented will [00:05:19] naturally carry out water harvesting [00:05:22] for trees, especially in difficult geographies like Tafilah's [00:05:26] geography, which is known for its mountains and needs [00:05:30] water harvesting for trees or [00:05:33] other [00:05:36] this topic and the rain that also fell on Tafilah Governorate [00:05:39] during the past two days, [00:05:43] I welcome the Director of the Tafilah [00:06:06] in the governorate, in addition to [00:06:09] in the governorate on [00:06:13] the mountains, and also the shallow [00:06:16] soil depth, have made these forests [00:06:19] truly [00:06:25] the soil. The Forestry Department came up with a truly [00:06:28] appreciated idea of [00:06:31] creating water traps and [00:06:34] introducing water harvesting techniques manually [00:06:37] into the forests to save what [00:06:40] remains of them. Today, we are talking about a plant cover that has significantly [00:06:44] declined. Anyone who looks at Tafilah [00:06:48] and its forests in the past and looks at them now will see a vast [00:06:51] difference. Talk about this project [00:06:54] specifically, its goal and which [00:06:58] areas it will be generalized to. Yes, we have taken [00:07:01] zones throughout the governorate [00:07:04] to conduct a trial [00:07:07] experiment to study the situation [00:07:11] and see if this idea can succeed or not. Unfortunately, the presence of these [00:07:14] forests on rocky slopes [00:07:18] makes it difficult to reach these forests, which hinders [00:07:21] the work significantly and makes it difficult for us. Therefore, [00:07:24] we used manual labor [00:07:27] to create these [00:07:30] water traps. Water traps involve creating basins around [00:07:33] trees to collect the largest possible amount of rainwater, [00:07:37] and we always say that soil is the best [00:07:40] water reservoir. So, God willing, these are good [00:07:43] tidings. The state of instability, thank God, [00:07:47] brought about 15 mm of rain [00:07:51] to this area in the past two days, which are good tidings, God willing. [00:07:54] Also, regarding forests, tell us about the existing [00:07:57] areas. How much did they decrease [00:07:59] over the past years, and we [00:08:03] witnessed in the past years seasons closer to drought than to [00:08:06] a scarcity of rain. Yes, the [00:08:09] forest areas in the governorate exceed 56,000 dunams. [00:08:14] The areas that, unfortunately, were exposed to drought, are around [00:08:17] 20%, and these are, unfortunately, large numbers. [00:08:20] The succession of drought years [00:08:24] has, as you mentioned in the report, [00:08:27] in some years, not exceeded 100 mm, except for the exceptional case [00:08:31] that happened last year, which was around 500 mm, and this is truly an exceptional [00:08:35] case. The rainfall of 100 mm [00:08:38] on harsh slopes, very high slopes exceeding [00:08:42] 40%, will be [00:08:47] these forests receiving rain from these 100 mm, due to [00:08:51] the shallow soil depths, in addition to the presence [00:08:54] of forests on harsh slopes. So these, unfortunately, make these forests [00:08:58] fragile ecosystems in resisting drought. Another topic [00:09:02] related to plant cover: today we [00:09:05] are facing innovative ideas that will bear fruit [00:09:09] this season and in the coming seasons. Is there [00:09:12] also in the forests that have been eroded, from cultivation [00:09:15] and so on? Yes, we are currently working on what [00:09:18] we call forest patch planting. [00:09:22] Patch planting in some forests that might [00:09:26] succeed in this idea to compensate [00:09:29] for the areas affected by drought. Yes, especially in areas close [00:09:33] to parks, which are easily accessible [00:09:36] by citizens, we will, God willing, [00:09:40] carry out patch planting there, in addition to using, we will not [00:09:44] plant, God willing, except using water harvesting techniques [00:09:48] so that the signs of success are clear, [00:09:51] God willing. Thank God, the rain over the past two [00:09:54] days was excellent. [00:09:57] You are talking about approximately 15 mm in this area [00:10:02] Al-Ais. Tell us about the numbers, and how promising [00:10:06] this rainy season was. Thank God, the state of [00:10:09] instability brought about 15 mm of rain to this area. Al-Qadisiyah [00:10:13] received about 18 mm. So, God willing, these numbers are promising, [00:10:17] and this is an invitation. We are taking advantage of our presence on Jordanian [00:10:21] Television to invite farmers to plow their lands and prepare for [00:10:25] the new rainy season. Just two [00:10:29] days ago, we received a letter from His Excellency the Minister [00:10:33] regarding inviting the Cooperative Foundation [00:10:36] to sell seeds, and we will, [00:10:39] platform because we will, God willing, provide a mechanism [00:10:43] to transport seeds to farmers, provided [00:10:47] that the names of the farmers are registered with us so that [00:10:50] the seeds can be brought to them. Last year, there was a good season. [00:10:53] خير كم [00:10:56] cultivate in grains? I don't have the exact numbers [00:11:00] now, but thank God, we received excellent quantities. We estimated [00:11:04] the field crops at about 50,000 [00:11:06] dunams, so that's good. [00:11:10] I think the numbers are [00:11:20] we heard about the plans available at the Tafilah Agriculture Directorate, [00:11:24] what is being implemented now and what will be implemented later [00:11:27] to preserve this wonderful image of Tafilah [00:11:30] Governorate, its plant cover, and so on. We also heard [00:11:33] about the good percentages that accompanied [00:11:36] the state of instability over the past two [00:11:39] days, which naturally led to some areas [00:11:43] reaching 18 mm, meaning [00:11:49] the rainy season. So these are encouraging numbers, and we are still [00:11:53] in October, my colleague. [00:12:21] Within the activities of the "Fursa" campaign, implemented by the Princess [00:12:25] Taghrid Institute for Development and Training [00:12:28] and Development Centers project of the German Agency [00:12:32] for International Cooperation, and with the participation of representatives from [00:12:35] government institutions, international organizations, [00:12:38] and relevant community organizations and entities [00:12:41] concerned with employment and economic empowerment, [00:12:45] our colleague Nuza Al-Sawalja [00:12:48] joins us. Nuza, after greetings, [00:12:52] how does the "Fursa" campaign contribute to enhancing employment opportunities and economic [00:12:55] empowerment for the target groups? [00:12:57] Please go ahead. [00:13:02] Yes, good morning, Ahmed. Good morning to all viewers who have joined [00:13:06] this coverage, specifically from [00:13:10] underway, which is concerned with [00:13:13] the economic participation of women in the international labor [00:13:18] of course, is attended by [00:13:21] international organizations, government entities, and private entities, [00:13:25] as well as entities concerned with economically empowering women, [00:13:28] specifically Jordanian women, in the international [00:13:31] labor market. The challenges and difficulties [00:13:35] that women face in the international labor market are among the most [00:13:39] important challenges that women [00:13:42] conference, these challenges and difficulties [00:13:46] are discussed, and safe, sustainable, [00:13:49] and fair employment opportunities are provided [00:13:52] for Jordanian women in the international labor market. Also, [00:13:56] the difficulties and challenges that they may face [00:14:00] in the future are overcome, in addition to developing [00:14:03] their work and developing [00:14:06] their capabilities and opportunities to compete with [00:14:09] women from other countries, and also [00:14:13] establishing their presence in [00:14:16] We will talk more about this conference with Engineer [00:14:20] Yasmine Abu Zant, a technical consultant at [00:14:25] project. Let's talk about this conference, which [00:14:29] is currently underway and discusses empowering and supporting [00:14:33] women economically, specifically Jordanian [00:14:38] conference is part of [00:14:41] Taghrid Foundation, with the support of the German International Cooperation (GIZ), [00:14:45] on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic [00:14:49] Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The program aims [00:14:51] to promote, whether it is the current conference or the "Fursa" [00:14:55] national campaign, which was also launched by the Princess [00:14:58] Taghrid Foundation, to promote the concept of safe and organized [00:15:01] labor mobility and also to position [00:15:04] the Jordanian-German Center for Facilitating Labor Mobility [00:15:07] as a reliable source of information for host countries. [00:15:11] Empowering women is not only about empowering them with work and skills, [00:15:15] but empowering women is also part of [00:15:19] their access to reliable and correct information. This [00:15:22] is also considered part of empowering women, and this is what we are currently working [00:15:26] on through this project implemented by the Princess Taghrid Foundation, which [00:15:29] is to provide opportunities for [00:15:33] access reliable information and correct [00:15:37] sources of information regarding [00:15:39] host countries and the different paths [00:15:43] that can be joined in other countries. Yes, Engineer Yasmine, from [00:15:46] your words, there are two parts [00:15:49] to empowering women: a theoretical part and a practical part [00:15:53] that you are doing, which is providing theoretical information [00:15:56] and experiences to women, and also practical experiences in the international labor market. [00:16:00] And we are talking about Jordanian women if they work in foreign [00:16:03] markets, which may be foreign or Arab. [00:16:07] There are challenges and difficulties that Jordanian women may face in these [00:16:10] Arab or foreign markets. What are the most [00:16:13] important axes or most important steps that you take to empower [00:16:17] women economically in these international and regional markets? [00:16:21] Now, I would like to talk about the experience that [00:16:25] the German-Jordanian University is doing. It is a live experiment in Jordan [00:16:28] to link male and female graduates to the labor [00:16:33] Germany. Now we find that during the period [00:16:36] of study, there is a preparatory year for students to [00:16:39] be able to join, or for students [00:16:43] to join foreign markets, specifically in Germany. [00:16:46] Now, when we talk about obstacles, these obstacles are not only for women [00:16:50] but also for women and men, which [00:16:53] are represented, for example, by the language barrier, which is the case [00:16:57] in Germany, for example. When we talk about the German language, learning the German [00:17:00] language is difficult, but it is important even if it is not a condition [00:17:03] for the visa or my path, but it [00:17:06] is a condition that facilitates [00:17:10] the integration process for male and female students [00:17:13] and for women and men, regardless of who we are talking [00:17:17] about. So, the obstacles now, when we talk about [00:17:20] women, we have societal barriers more, [00:17:22] and this is what is now changing in society, [00:17:26] that and also the society's view [00:17:29] that, for example, women can work more in care [00:17:32] professions. This is also what we are currently working on with different partners, [00:17:36] the Princess Taghrid Foundation and the German University and others, to change [00:17:40] the view of these stereotypes that women are also able [00:17:43] to work in professions such as medical professions, [00:17:46] engineering professions, green [00:17:49] professions, technical professions, and so on. So [00:17:53] all of these, we can say that they are obstacles and opportunities at the same time. [00:17:57] Yes, the conference, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor [00:18:01] and also in cooperation with the Princess Taghrid Foundation for Development [00:18:04] and Training, and also the "Fursa" campaign, is an opportunity [00:18:07] to support and empower women economically [00:18:11] in their participation in, meaning, international [00:18:14] markets and also regional markets. [00:18:17] So, a message from you, Engineer [00:18:21] in this conference, and also a guiding [00:18:25] message so that there will be more participation in the labor market [00:18:30] to engage in the international labor market. [00:18:32] As I said, I honestly like [00:18:36] to always [00:18:39] reliable information and sources of information because [00:18:43] someone from the speakers today said that women are very concerned about the issue [00:18:47] of knowing when they move to any market, whether local [00:18:50] or international, that it is a safe market and a market that [00:18:54] appreciates their skills. This is what we always encourage: [00:18:57] that they always have access [00:19:00] to information, verify [00:19:04] the appropriate information for them from [00:19:17] and I return to my colleagues after this [00:19:20] information about the most prominent features [00:19:24] economic participation, Jordanian participation in regional and international markets, [00:19:28] and the most important challenges and difficulties that they face. Also, during [00:19:31] this conference and after its conclusion, there will be [00:19:35] effective and successful solutions to support Jordanian women [00:19:38] in the international labor market and also to develop [00:20:05] who was with us this morning. To face the repercussions of different weather conditions, [00:20:08] dear viewers, during the winter season, the Petra [00:20:12] Development and Tourism Region Authority activated operations rooms [00:20:16] and the early warning system for flood risk, amidst preparations [00:20:19] by the Authority's staff and equipment [00:20:21] to deal with all winter conditions. The Authority seeks [00:20:25] through these efforts to protect the region and the [00:20:28] archaeological site in Petra, which is one of the most prominent cities [00:20:33] the world, from the conditions and dangers of the winter season. [00:20:37] Our correspondent from Jordanian Television, [00:20:41] colleague Ziad Al-Tuwaisi, joins us. Ziad, good [00:20:44] morning. Let's talk more about the preparations of the [00:20:48] Petra Authority for the repercussions of the winter season. [00:20:51] Please go ahead. [00:20:55] Yes, good morning to you and all dear viewers from [00:20:59] here in Petra, the rose city, specifically from the Petra [00:21:03] Development and Tourism Region Authority. This year, the rose city [00:21:06] witnessed an early winter. Yesterday, the city [00:21:09] witnessed heavy [00:21:13] rainfall, while tourist movement continued [00:21:16] normally and as usual. [00:21:19] Of course, all relevant authorities raised [00:21:22] their readiness and prepared their plans [00:21:26] in advance to deal with the conditions and repercussions of the winter season. Here [00:21:29] in the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, all teams [00:21:33] and equipment have been prepared, and winter operations rooms [00:21:36] have been activated to deal with the different [00:21:39] conditions and repercussions of the winter season, in addition to activating the early [00:21:42] warning system for flood risk, which is considered [00:21:45] one of the most important warning systems for [00:21:48] flash floods and floods in the region. For more information, we are pleased to have [00:21:52] with us His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Al-Habaibeh, Commissioner of Infrastructure [00:21:55] in the Petra region. Your Excellency, good morning. Tell us about [00:21:59] your readiness for the winter season. Good morning, my brother Ziad, and good morning [00:22:03] to the esteemed viewers. Thank God for these blessings, [00:22:06] always and forever. We, in the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, [00:22:10] one of the most important axes and programs that we work on in the winter [00:22:14] season is the winter season management plan. Of course, this document [00:22:17] is a living document and is subject to development and modification [00:22:20] through previous seasons, learning [00:22:24] lessons learned, and also identifying hot spots [00:22:27] and working on them, in addition to preparing all the necessary [00:22:31] resources and materials to implement the plan, in terms of human [00:22:35] resources and also equipment, most importantly [00:22:38] the early warning system, from which information is obtained [00:22:41] regarding the amount of rain that falls instantly and momentarily, [00:22:45] as well as measuring the water level in the main valleys. [00:22:48] These works [00:22:52] working in the offices, in addition to its connection with a specialized [00:22:56] the field, distributed across the entire region's scope [00:23:00] within the six population centers, and communication through [00:23:04] a special emergency radio system [00:23:07] for relaying information to the central emergency room. [00:23:10] Thus, work is carried out in an organized [00:23:15] all staff. And we in [00:23:18] are managing this file with full efficiency and effectiveness, [00:23:22] giving utmost attention to the archaeological [00:23:25] site, the World Heritage site of the ancient city of Petra, [00:23:28] as well as visitors to the region and visitors to the archaeological site, [00:23:32] and also the local community in all its gatherings. Yes, Your Excellency, Petra [00:23:36] is characterized by an early warning system for flood risk. Tell us about [00:23:39] the nature of this system. The early [00:23:43] to be implemented in the Kingdom. This system was implemented by the Authority in [00:23:47] 2014. The system consists of rainfall [00:23:50] measurement units, instantaneous and real-time, in addition [00:23:53] to water level measurement systems in the main valleys, [00:23:56] connected via microwave waves to a control [00:23:59] room and reading and analysis devices in the main [00:24:03] Authority building, in addition to its connection to a siren [00:24:08] God forbid, in Petra. Usually, according to the topography [00:24:11] of the site, it is all valleys, wadis, and somewhat [00:24:15] steep slopes. Therefore, [00:24:18] that come out of this system. Based on that, [00:24:22] the appropriate decision is made to direct field teams to points [00:24:26] where we feel there will be a danger, God forbid. Mostly, [00:24:30] the danger in Petra comes from flash floods, not floods. Flash floods [00:24:34] mean water within its natural course within the valleys, but [00:24:37] when it reaches a certain level, it is dealt [00:24:40] with seriously. The emergency plan is implemented. [00:24:44] Of course, our emergency plan is divided into two parts: [00:24:47] a plan specific to the archaeological site in terms of gathering [00:24:51] points and evacuation methods if needed, [00:24:54] in addition to the emergency plan related to the six [00:24:58] residential neighborhoods and areas. Of course, all resources, [00:25:01] whether equipment or human resources, supervisors, or [00:25:05] observers, according to the approved plan, are distributed across [00:25:07] all sites, and each observer for a specific site [00:25:11] or official or emergency worker [00:25:14] knows exactly their role in communicating with the central [00:25:17] emergency room. Of course, this effort [00:25:21] requires a high level of coordination to preserve an important archaeological [00:25:25] site, the city of Petra, as well as the lives of visitors [00:25:28] and residents. Yes, His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Al-Habaibeh, [00:25:32] we thank you very much, and great efforts are being made by [00:25:35] the various concerned authorities in the Petra district to deal [00:25:39] with the repercussions of the weather conditions. The region [00:25:44] that this rainy season will continue [00:25:48] this year. [00:25:50] The indications are very good, especially since winter started [00:25:54] early this year in the rose city, and that this [00:25:57] rain will help revive the agricultural sector [00:25:59] and add more beauty and charm to the rose [00:26:03] city, and preserve the original trees [00:26:06] and plants in this region. [00:26:35] The staff of the Joint Services Council in Mafraq [00:26:38] Governorate have developed their plan and field readiness [00:26:41] to deal with the current winter weather [00:26:44] conditions, in accordance with organized and well-thought-out [00:26:47] procedures. The plan focuses on operating [00:26:51] a dedicated emergency room that is directly [00:26:54] linked to the electronic winter emergency system at the Ministry [00:26:57] of Local Administration to quickly provide [00:27:00] the best services to citizens in the field. In the same [00:27:04] context, the Council's staff intensified inspection [00:27:08] tours and cleaned culverts and rainwater drainage [00:27:11] channels, median strips, and the sides of main [00:27:15] roads to prevent flash floods in hot spots [00:27:20] valleys, dams, neighborhoods, and population [00:27:23] centers within Mafraq city. Directly [00:27:27] with us from Mafraq Governorate is Jordanian [00:27:31] Television correspondent Yusuf Al-Mashakbeh. Yusuf, [00:27:34] after greetings, what are the most prominent measures and precautions [00:27:38] taken by the Council to ensure the readiness of roads [00:27:41] and rainwater drainage sites, and also to reduce the risks [00:27:45] of flash floods during the winter [00:27:46] season? Please go ahead. [00:27:53] Yes, meaning at the end of the news you read, the [00:27:57] Joint Services Council staff are still continuing, even [00:28:01] at this moment and over the past days, to face [00:28:04] the demands and repercussions of the prevailing weather [00:28:08] conditions. You know the geographical nature of Mafraq [00:28:10] Governorate, and yesterday, thank God, Ruwaishid District witnessed [00:28:14] heavy rainfall, and there were [00:28:17] measures taken by all relevant and security agencies [00:28:20] in the governorate to deal with these [00:28:24] conditions. The staff of the Joint Services Council, the Joint [00:28:27] Services Council in Mafraq Governorate, are now working, as [00:28:30] we see, on the ground, clearing [00:28:34] rainwater channels as a precautionary [00:28:37] measure [00:28:40] the weather conditions and to prevent [00:28:43] these channels from being blocked, [00:28:47] rainfall soon, God willing. These [00:28:50] are the precautionary measures taken by the Joint [00:28:54] Services Council, and also within [00:28:56] the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Local [00:29:00] Administration, His Excellency Engineer Walid Al-Masri, to all municipalities [00:29:04] and joint services councils in such circumstances, [00:29:07] and instructions for full readiness [00:29:11] to carry out this task to the fullest. [00:29:14] With us for more His Excellency Engineer [00:29:17] Muhammad Al-Shamali, Chairman of the Joint Services Council in Mafraq Governorate. [00:29:21] Engineer, may God grant you good health. May God grant you good health, sir. Good morning. Good morning to the nation. [00:29:25] Good morning to the النشامى (brave ones) of the homeland wherever they are, especially the النشامى of [00:29:29] the Joint Services Council of Mafraq Governorate. Engineer, regarding the [00:29:34] the weather conditions, we are now seeing the cadres working [00:29:37] as precautionary measures in advance to face and deal with the repercussions of [00:29:40] the weather. The preparations started, approximately, sir, about [00:29:44] three or four months ago, from the end of the summer season. We started, based [00:29:48] on the directives of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, [00:29:52] by opening culverts, opening torrents, wadis, wadi channels, [00:29:55] and cleaning culverts. Today, we [00:29:58] are witnessing a campaign at the level of Mafraq Governorate, in partnership, of course, [00:30:02] with many institutions, and in communication with the administrative [00:30:05] governors. Today, cleaning campaigns, today, culvert cleaning [00:30:09] campaigns, all of them come with the primary [00:30:12] and ultimate goal of protecting citizens from being exposed [00:30:15] to harm, God forbid. Let's talk about the cooperation of the Services [00:30:19] Council with the operations room. Is there an operations room [00:30:22] for the Governorate Council? And since the Joint Services [00:30:25] Council includes more than one municipality, of course, we are within [00:30:29] the scope of jurisdiction. Our direct communication is through the main [00:30:33] operations in the Ministry of Local Administration, in addition to the operations rooms within [00:30:36] the governorate, His Excellency the Governor, the administrative governors, our colleagues, [00:30:40] directors of service departments. We are all one team working [00:30:43] to serve citizens. And the most important thing today [00:30:47] is that we work regardless of specialization. Today, public works specialization, municipality [00:30:51] specialization, joint services councils. In the end, it's one team [00:30:54] working day and night. We have teams distributed in several areas, [00:30:58] and today we are seeing the impact. Thank God, God blessed us with the blessing [00:31:01] of rain. We hope, God willing, for a season of goodness and blessing for our beloved [00:31:05] Jordan. We always talk, engineer, about more than [00:31:08] one municipality having box culvert channels, [00:31:11] and there is always suffering, especially when there are rain torrents. Now, [00:31:15] what are the measures you have taken as a plan to open these channels? What [00:31:18] is also required from citizens, especially those living near these [00:31:21] areas? Today, through [00:31:25] the Ministry of Local Administration, many teams have been assigned to follow up [00:31:28] of municipalities through the joint [00:31:31] services councils and the Directorate of Municipal Affairs to inspect all [00:31:35] culverts within municipalities and instruct the heads of committees [00:31:39] to follow up and inspect all culverts. Today, our message to our brothers [00:31:42] citizens and residents on the paths and wadis is to stay away. [00:31:46] Today, our message also to citizens [00:31:50] is not to dump waste randomly. Today, there is an initiative, my master Hussein, regarding [00:31:53] cleanliness at the kingdom level. Today, our citizen is aware, and we hope [00:31:57] for more awareness so that today, God forbid, we don't have any injuries [00:32:00] to people [00:32:05] services. We talk about important [00:32:08] cleaning campaigns, and since the service councils are also responsible [00:32:12] for main roads and arterial roads, you know [00:32:15] there are some, meaning, rainwater drainage channels [00:32:18] and some roads that also need, if there is [00:32:22] accumulated dust in such conditions, what measures have you taken [00:32:25] to face these conditions? Today, one of the main duties of the Services [00:32:29] Council and service councils in general is to maintain the cleanliness [00:32:33] of arterial roads. Today, we are a tourist country. Today, we have [00:32:36] archaeological sites. We have religious shrines to preserve, and today, [00:32:40] the esteemed visitor, God willing, will find the place clean and leave it [00:32:44] clean. Preparations are underway and ongoing throughout [00:32:47] the year. Today, the joint service councils work [00:32:51] day and night to maintain the cleanliness of places, [00:32:54] to maintain the [00:32:57] cleanliness of roads, and we once again appeal to our esteemed citizens not to litter [00:33:10] of the council, also an awareness role, a guidance [00:33:13] role, and also a participatory role. Are these mechanisms [00:33:16] available and ready for these conditions for the current winter season? [00:33:20] Today, the primary function of the Services Council and service councils [00:33:24] in general is to support municipalities in emergencies, to support [00:33:27] municipalities with equipment. Today, the service councils have [00:33:31] heavy equipment that we share [00:33:34] with municipalities and with many institutions [00:33:38] to maintain the opening of wadis, culverts, [00:33:41] and torrents. The plans now, Engineer, the Services [00:33:45] Council actually plays a significant role and has [00:33:48] a participatory role in terms of [00:33:51] wadis and dams, especially for residents in remote [00:33:55] areas. Do you have, for example, for these areas, special [00:33:59] exceptional circumstances to provide them with service? Of course, [00:34:02] as we said from the beginning, sir, we have the partnership [00:34:05] that exists through the Executive Council of the Governorate [00:34:09] and under the directives of the Ministry, in addition [00:34:12] the security agencies to follow up on citizens wherever they are, [00:34:15] through the Public Security Department, the Civil Defense Department, [00:34:18] and also remote areas through the JAF. We have [00:34:22] one partnership. The partnership is available 24 [00:34:25] hours a day, and thank God, we have seen great cooperation from all existing agencies [00:34:29] and from our brothers, the citizens. We talk about [00:34:32] the cadres. If, for example, municipalities request assistance, [00:34:36] as you mentioned earlier, do you provide [00:34:39] municipalities with heavy equipment or [00:34:42] cadres? Have you prepared cadres [00:34:45] to face emergency situations, as emergencies, emergency cases? Oh, of course, we [00:34:48] today, the emergency room in the service [00:34:52] councils contains many cadres, many [00:34:55] equipment. We are talking especially during the blessed winter [00:34:58] season, God willing. Suction [00:35:02] pumps, water tanks, meaning we can reach [00:35:05] citizens. The cadres are ready. Our readiness is high, [00:35:08] and God willing, it will be a season of goodness and blessing for [00:35:22] efforts, as we see, the box culverts [00:35:26] are now ready. These are [00:35:30] the areas, especially the culverts located [00:35:33] near the wadis for these areas. The great [00:35:36] Mafraq valley, this is a torrent. In case, thank God, [00:35:40] of rainfall this year, it will contribute [00:35:43] to the flow and runoff of this water [00:35:47] and water accumulations. All these efforts exerted by [00:35:50] the Joint Services Council [00:35:53] the municipalities and administrative governors are to [00:35:56] preserve the safety and also the property [00:35:59] of citizens, and also to provide the best services [00:36:02] required in such prevailing [00:36:36] Jordanian login to the Social Security electronic services [00:36:39] is now through the national ID number and the special [00:36:43] password for the Sanad application. Following the visit of Prime Minister Dr. [00:38:52] Jaafar Hassan to the Iraq Al-Amir Women's Cooperative last April, [00:38:55] a delegation from the Jordanian [00:38:59] Cooperative Institution visited the cooperative to learn about [00:39:02] its reality and its productive activities. To talk [00:39:06] about this visit and its role in supporting the cooperative and its women, [00:39:10] we are joined by the Jordanian Television correspondent, [00:39:13] colleague Ala Al-Sleihat. Ala, after greetings, how [00:39:17] will this visit contribute to supporting the cooperative and developing [00:39:20] its productive projects and empowering its women [00:39:23] economically? Please. [00:39:50] the Iraq Al-Amir Women's Association [00:39:53] is considered one of the most important experiences that combine [00:39:57] women's economic empowerment and the preservation of handicrafts, [00:40:00] in addition to enhancing the presence [00:40:04] of local products. Hence, the importance of the visit of a delegation from [00:40:07] the Jordanian Cooperative Institution following [00:40:10] the visit of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan last April [00:40:14] to open the door for dialogue about [00:40:18] the association's ambitions and what [00:40:21] this visit will lead to. To learn more [00:40:24] about this visit, we are joined by the Director General [00:40:28] of the Jordanian Cooperative Institution, [00:40:31] His Excellency Abdul Fattah Al-Shalabi. [00:40:40] Actually, this visit came accompanied [00:40:43] by His Excellency the Administrator of Wadi Seer District to learn about [00:40:47] the reality of the cooperative after the visit of His Excellency the Prime [00:40:50] Minister to this cooperative last April. [00:40:53] And during this visit, His Excellency emphasized [00:40:57] the importance of cooperative work as an economic and social [00:41:01] pillar, and also directed to support the [00:41:04] cooperative and support the women working in this [00:41:07] cooperative. This cooperative actually includes [00:41:10] 35 women members, and also [00:41:14] has 20 job opportunities [00:41:17] social security. Therefore, the [00:41:21] visit was very important, and His Excellency instructed [00:41:24] to support the cooperative with a set of in-kind [00:41:28] materials, and it was also supported with [00:41:31] approximately 8 looms and 25 training [00:41:34] opportunities for training on [00:41:36] wool production and yarn production. [00:41:40] The support actually has a great impact on [00:41:43] empowering women in the cooperative [00:41:46] and empowering them economically and socially [00:41:49] as well. Therefore, we in the Cooperative Institution were keen [00:41:53] to follow up on what has been achieved in this [00:41:57] visit. And thank God, things are promising, [00:42:00] and the support has reached the women, [00:42:04] and they have started their work, and actually they have felt a great [00:42:08] change. There were challenges they faced, [00:42:11] and through the visit, solutions were found for [00:42:15] most of them. Yes, Your Excellency, returning to the Prime Minister's visit [00:42:18] last April, what were the most prominent issues [00:42:21] raised then? Actually, the [00:42:25] issues that were raised during the visit were related to the cooperative [00:42:28] sector and the challenges faced by the cooperative [00:42:32] sector. His Excellency instructed to expedite [00:42:35] the preparation of the regulations governing cooperative [00:42:38] work. There is a new law issued in [00:42:42] 2025, and this law established [00:42:45] the Cooperative Development Fund as an arm [00:42:49] and a financing window for cooperatives to provide [00:42:51] financing support also and easy [00:42:55] loans and also grants. Also, there was a directive [00:42:59] to expedite the preparation of the training [00:43:02] institute's system to also empower [00:43:05] the cooperative sector to train [00:43:08] members of the cooperative movement and train the local [00:43:11] community and spread the idea and awareness about [00:43:15] cooperative work in all governorates of the Kingdom. [00:43:18] Your Excellency, as we know, marketing is one of the biggest [00:43:21] challenges facing small projects. What are [00:43:25] the solutions you propose to solve this problem? Thank you. Actually, [00:43:28] we in the Cooperative Institution, [00:43:31] with the umbrella organization, the Ministry of Agriculture, and also [00:43:35] various ministries, organize bazaars [00:43:38] and exhibitions. Cooperative products, handicrafts, [00:43:42] and also rural families and small [00:43:44] producers are marketed in these exhibitions [00:43:47] and bazaars. God willing, in the coming days, [00:43:51] the Olive Festival will be opened for [00:43:54] 10 days. There will be marketing [00:43:56] for cooperatives, [00:43:58] whether food products or handicrafts. [00:44:02] Also, after a few days, [00:44:05] the Pomegranate Festival will be opened in [00:44:08] Irbid Governorate. This festival will also market [00:44:12] cooperative products. Also, there is [00:44:15] also the permanent exhibition for marketing rural [00:44:20] the Seventh Circle on a land area of 12 [00:44:23] dunams. God willing, it will be opened soon to market [00:44:27] rural and cooperative products and small producers [00:44:31] permanently and continuously throughout [00:44:43] sustainable project management and enhancing [00:44:46] marketing opportunities remain among the most important basic [00:44:49] pillars for empowering women economically, [00:44:53] cultural and heritage traditions and crafts, [00:44:57] and also forming [00:45:00] an identity, or forming part of the Jordanian identity. [00:45:28] And regarding the weather conditions, dear viewers, the Kingdom [00:45:31] remains today under the influence of a state of atmospheric instability. The [00:45:35] weather will be moderately hot in most areas of the Kingdom, [00:45:38] with the appearance of clouds at various altitudes. [00:45:42] God willing, scattered showers of rain will fall in [00:45:46] parts of the eastern [00:45:49] the Kingdom. It is expected that in the afternoon [00:45:52] hours, it will be heavy at times and accompanied [00:45:56] by thunder and lightning and precipitation.
