[00:00:31] The fire near Konjic is still active, the situation is better compared to [00:00:34] yesterday. [00:00:39] From tonight's news, we also [00:00:41] highlight. [00:00:46] The protest in the Zenica brown coal mine continued, 10 Zenica [00:00:49] miners are still in the Raspotočje [00:00:51] pit. [00:00:55] American senators and congressmen after pressure on the Srebernik [00:00:59] memorial center, demand [00:01:00] sanctions. [00:01:04] Volodymyr Zelenskyy on an official visit to Serbia discussed with Vučić [00:01:08] the European path and the improvement of cooperation, a memorandum [00:01:11] of understanding in the field [00:01:12] of agriculture was signed. [00:01:16] We have not [00:01:17] discussed [00:01:21] any military cooperation [00:01:22] today. [00:01:25] We still need more money so that our defense industry can [00:01:28] produce twice as much as it produces [00:01:30] today. [00:01:34] In Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the coming days, sunny and hot, in the south [00:01:38] of the country, temperatures up to 41 degrees [00:01:41] Celsius. [00:01:47] The fire near Konjic is still active, but the situation is better [00:01:50] than this morning. [00:01:52] is transferred to more expensive trucks and Trebinje sighed with relief after the fire was extinguished, but a downpour [00:01:55] that refreshed that part of Herzegovina. Given [00:01:58] the continuation of a period of extremely high temperatures, the authorities [00:02:01] appeal for caution. [00:02:04] The fire in the area of Kanjina and Živašnica near Konjic is still [00:02:08] active, but the situation on the ground is significantly better than [00:02:11] this morning. The competent services confirm that houses and other [00:02:14] facilities are not threatened. The situation today is better than in previous days [00:02:18] although the fire is active today. Well, [00:02:21] the fire spread to a huge [00:02:25] area, I would say. It's about several [00:02:29] or if they will remain only on hectares. So that... we have units deployed everywhere [00:02:32] on various branches of the fire, what [00:02:35] we are doing today is that together with the firefighters [00:02:39] we have the help of air tractors and helicopters [00:02:42] and from early morning they have been active on the fire site. I can [00:02:46] say that they were successful, the intensity of the fire has been [00:02:49] greatly reduced, but we still have to be there given [00:02:53] the high temperatures, the wind that is [00:02:56] appearing again, rekindling and again... [00:03:00] the fire starting, so we are here together with the citizens, [00:03:04] it's calm, the fire goes on, the wind is a difficult [00:03:07] terrain, now there are air operations [00:03:10] there, as for the firefighters, they are there, because there are in this [00:03:14] one part also residential buildings, they take care [00:03:18] there, the rest is about air support. About 15 [00:03:22] firefighters from the professional fire department of Konjic, [00:03:25] volunteer fire brigades and forestry workers. Prenj, as [00:03:29] assistance to colleagues in the endangered [00:03:32] area, members of the professional fire department of the Cantonal [00:03:36] Civil Protection Administration of Sarajevo Canton also acted. [00:03:39] The situation changes from hour to hour, because [00:03:43] the wind is strong the pine [00:03:46] forest burns quickly. People are [00:03:50] on the ground, as soon as we call, the locals also [00:03:52] help, extinguish, arrive immediately on [00:03:55] time, we are on duty, we don't sleep. Fire and other [00:03:59] competent services continue activities at the fire site, due to [00:04:02] high temperatures and wind, the situation is being closely monitored. On [00:04:06] the other hand, good news comes from Trebinje, where the fire was completely [00:04:09] extinguished, and the situation was made even more favorable by the rain [00:04:13] that fell during [00:04:14] the day. [00:04:19] However, calls for caution come from all parts of the country. The Municipal [00:04:22] Civil Protection Service Posušje issued a warning to citizens, [00:04:26] tourists, weekenders and visitors of Blidinje Nature [00:04:29] Park. That due to high temperatures and extremely dry [00:04:32] vegetation, careless lighting of fires poses a serious [00:04:36] danger of forest fires. They remind that [00:04:39] open fires in forests on forest land near [00:04:43] forests are strictly prohibited and legally punishable. Since [00:04:46] in most of Bosnia and Herzegovina a period of extremely high [00:04:50] temperatures continues without significant precipitation, the authorities call for [00:04:54] caution and responsible behavior. Nataša Kerezović, [00:04:57] N1. [00:05:00] Ten miners of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine are still in the [00:05:04] Raspotočje pit, continuing their protest, they say: "they will not give up [00:05:08] until their earned wages are paid, the deadline is Monday." [00:05:12] when the protest could be [00:05:15] radicalized. It's the fifth night for the miners in [00:05:19] Raspotočje. They haven't left the pit since Tuesday and will not [00:05:22] leave without a written confirmation that their wages will be paid, and these [00:05:26] people down there who have gone down are already sitting there, they [00:05:29] explicitly demand that the minister write, because [00:05:32] they keep promising, it will be today, it will be tomorrow, it will be in a day [00:05:36] or two, so they don't believe anymore, they just want one sentence from the minister to write [00:05:40] that three salaries will be paid then. Due to poor [00:05:43] health, two miners had to leave the pit yesterday [00:05:47] to receive medical assistance. One of them returned [00:05:50] and rejoined his colleagues. From Monday, [00:05:53] the support in the pit could be even greater, as all members of the main board [00:05:57] of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine union could join them, [00:06:00] which will further radicalize the [00:06:03] protest. This is the third month, we are entering the fourth [00:06:06] month, meaning we don't have salaries. So [00:06:09] we have to buy food, fuel. "There are people [00:06:13] who travel 40 km in one direction, [00:06:17] so where are the wife, children, [00:06:19] electricity, [00:06:22] food, so it's more than enough, [00:06:25] now these empty promises day after day, it will be today, it will be [00:06:29] tomorrow, people are fed up, [00:06:32] they have nothing more to lose, people locked themselves in the pit, which I [00:06:36] support, it should have been done long ago, unlike the workers [00:06:40] of the other six mines from the koncern EL..." economy of Bosnia and [00:06:43] Herzegovina, for the miners in Zenica, their existence [00:06:46] is at stake, they are all family people, they have children and yesterday we [00:06:50] had that conversation where it [00:06:53] touches a stone, not a human, please tell [00:06:57] him that his child misses him and wants him to come and that touches [00:07:01] you, it simply touches you, we tried that too, no, [00:07:04] no, is it that you get into that situation, tell them that he is fine, that [00:07:08] everything is okay, yes, but it is not okay, it is really [00:07:12] not okay, trust in institutions and trade union structures is almost [00:07:16] completely destroyed, although they were temporarily allowed to verify [00:07:19] their health booklets only until September 6th, [00:07:23] basic existential questions remain unresolved, workers have [00:07:27] still not been paid their salaries for May and June, although this was [00:07:30] promised to them last month, while the July [00:07:34] salary is also due [00:07:35] soon. [00:07:40] A group of prominent American senators and members of the House [00:07:44] of Representatives expressed deep concern over the summoning [00:07:47] of 26 current and former employees and associates [00:07:50] of the Srebrenica Memorial Center for police interrogations, [00:07:54] warning that the Memorial Center must be able to carry out [00:07:58] its mission without intimidation. At the same time, they called on the US [00:08:02] administration to implement mandatory sanctions provided [00:08:05] by the National Defense Act for fiscal year 2026 [00:08:09] against individuals responsible for destabilizing [00:08:12] actions and undermining democratic institutions. Earlier, [00:08:16] the director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, Emir Suljagić, sent [00:08:19] a message to American senators and members of the US House [00:08:23] of Representatives. Suljagić reacted to [00:08:26] the statements of the Minister of Finance of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Srđan Amidžić, [00:08:29] who said that he does not know why the director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center [00:08:33] is nervous or why, as he called them, [00:08:37] hysterical reactions, if that institution operates in [00:08:40] accordance with the law, even though its work is clean and transparent. [00:08:44] Suljagić claims that the latest events concerning the Srebrenica Memorial Center [00:08:48] do not represent a legitimate investigation but a political [00:08:51] campaign of intimidation. He states that Amidžić is personally [00:08:54] responsible for blocking laws and bylaws that are [00:08:58] needed for the Srebrenica Memorial Center to become more independent [00:09:02] and financially sustainable, and that he, along with Milorad Dodik and [00:09:06] Željka Cvijanović, joined the intimidation campaign. [00:09:09] Suljagić assessed that it is a political campaign directed against [00:09:12] Bosniaks in Srebrenica exclusively based on their nationality [00:09:16] and the place where [00:09:17] they work. [00:09:22] Until the end of the diary, don't miss this [00:09:25] story. [00:09:28] The Danube near Novi Sad receded to the point that it revealed [00:09:32] something previously [00:09:33] unseen. [00:09:39] For the first time in eight years, the President of Ukraine visited [00:09:43] Serbia, a country that is among the few that have not imposed [00:09:46] sanctions on Russia, which is considered pro-Russian in the [00:09:50] Balkans. The focus of the two presidents' discussions was [00:09:53] the European path, infrastructure, economic [00:09:56] and energy cooperation. Officially, behind closed doors, [00:09:59] there were no talks about military [00:10:01] matters. [00:10:04] Red carpet, guard and discretely decorated city with Ukrainian flags [00:10:07] for the first visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to a country where sympathies for [00:10:11] Russia and Vladimir Putin are not hidden. The fact that before his visit [00:10:15] it was mentioned in public that the two countries could discuss joint construction [00:10:18] of a drone factory, his host in Serbia decidedly [00:10:22] denies. Perhaps something remained [00:10:25] behind closed doors, a meeting of the two presidents who already [00:10:28] had a gala dinner yesterday and instead of the planned 30 minutes it lasted [00:10:32] twice as long. We did not discuss [00:10:35] any [00:10:38] military cooperation today. [00:10:40] And today's [00:10:43] time, what [00:10:45] will [00:10:47] happen when the work is finished, that's another thing, and [00:10:51] as for [00:10:53] the killings, I hope the killings will stop. We will [00:10:56] open a drone factory here in September, but [00:11:00] with the Israelis. We are doing this with the Israelis. Ukrainians are very successful [00:11:03] and have many of their own [00:11:07] drone factories. Furthermore, we still need more money so that [00:11:11] our defense industry can produce twice as much as it produces today. [00:11:14] These are huge sums of money, it's about billions. Today the president asked me, [00:11:18] I shared this with him, I won't reveal it to the media today, but [00:11:21] Ukraine doesn't have as much money as Russia uses for its war. [00:11:25] "We won't have it, what we have and what we need, we have with the help of other [00:11:29] countries." The two presidents did not utter Vladimir Putin's name in their address [00:11:32] to the media, but a Ukrainian [00:11:34] journalist did. [00:11:37] Mr. President, why does Vladimir Putin want to continue [00:11:41] this aggression and this war and maybe you see some [00:11:44] signals that he is ready for a real negotiation [00:11:47] process. [00:11:50] I cannot give serious assessments and assumptions about whether the war will [00:11:53] end soon or not. So soon, I undoubtedly believe and the entire [00:11:57] international community, including Serbia, all our people would [00:12:00] like this war to end as soon as possible. A common [00:12:04] topic for the two countries is membership in the European Union, on that path Kyiv and [00:12:08] Belgrade are not rivals, but [00:12:09] partners. [00:12:12] That is not just reality, it is not just enthusiasm in choosing the European Union and [00:12:16] choosing that path. I understand the skepticism of Aleksandar, which he shared [00:12:19] with me last night in detail. Ukraine simply has no time for [00:12:22] skepticism or anything else. [00:12:25] In war, in that war, we defend our independence, understanding of what [00:12:28] Ukraine should be in the future, that is simply [00:12:31] a step chosen jointly by the state [00:12:34] and the people, we talked for a long time, I presented [00:12:37] our position [00:12:41] to President Zelenskyy. I fully understand [00:12:44] Ukraine's position on that issue, Ukraine [00:12:47] wants to open all clusters as soon as possible, [00:12:51] Ukraine wants quick membership in the European Union. [00:12:58] "I told President Zelenskyy [00:13:00] that [00:13:03] I understand all that, and I understand of course that kind [00:13:06] of enthusiasm, [00:13:08] but that as President of Serbia, as someone who is a political veteran, I do not see at this [00:13:12] moment the possibility, primarily for Serbia, I was not [00:13:16] talking about Ukraine, so primarily for Serbia to soon [00:13:20] become a member of the European Union for [00:13:23] numerous political reasons." The plan is to conclude [00:13:26] a free trade agreement between the two countries by the end of the year. During this visit, a [00:13:30] memorandum of cooperation in the field of animal health and food [00:13:33] safety was signed. Serbia will continue to send humanitarian aid to [00:13:37] the war-affected Ukrainian people, and Serbia is ready to help rebuild [00:13:41] one city. Žana Bulajić, N1 [00:13:44] Belgrade. [00:13:47] How could Brussels react to Zelenskyy's visit to Belgrade, [00:13:50] and how could Moscow? What did the former American ambassador say before the [00:13:54] visit? And what remained in the background of the two presidents' talks [00:13:57] in Jelena [00:13:59] Mirković's story. [00:14:02] The fact that for the first time shoulder to shoulder in Belgrade [00:14:05] the presidents of Serbia and Ukraine met, is a signal [00:14:09] of the importance of the visit, but an important signal to Brussels and [00:14:12] Russia itself, assesses former diplomat Duško [00:14:15] Lopandić. This is certainly a shift [00:14:18] of Belgrade towards, as I said, [00:14:21] primarily towards Berlin, Brussels, in fact. [00:14:25] signals for which Vučić expects [00:14:29] some reward, in the foreseeable [00:14:32] future and that will be [00:14:35] the primary effect I think of this [00:14:39] visit, but I would say [00:14:42] that Serbia is not in a position to fully take [00:14:46] one side or the other. Balancing continues, [00:14:50] believes Nikola Ksavijeref from the German Council [00:14:53] on Foreign Policy. He says that because of what was seen in [00:14:57] Belgrade and what Aleksandar Vučić said, Moscow will not [00:15:00] be angry. In the Kremlin, there will be no negative sentiments towards [00:15:04] this, of course they are not happy, but [00:15:08] that is the politics where of course diplomatic packaging [00:15:11] always contains differences that [00:15:14] can be lived with. I think that this visit also [00:15:18] through this press conference clearly [00:15:22] shows that there was a formal part, a [00:15:26] non-formal part and everything that, everything that [00:15:29] is essentially tricky was left, that is, it [00:15:33] was the subject of discussion during last night's [00:15:36] extensive dinner. That remains unknown, but [00:15:40] that is not surprising, says former Ukrainian consul in Belgrade [00:15:43] Aleksandar Levchenko, because Belgrade, he states, has peculiar [00:15:47] relations with Moscow, with Ukraine, that should not be mixed [00:15:51] and it is important that these relations are for [00:15:54] the interest of our two states, we have [00:15:57] what to say here [00:15:59] about our European path, meaning Ukraine and [00:16:03] Serbia are heading towards accession to the European Union, [00:16:07] that is important. And we have somewhat similar [00:16:10] views on negotiations with our European partners [00:16:14] and how difficult it is to open chapters, especially [00:16:18] even more difficult to close negotiating [00:16:20] chapters. Moscow has repeatedly criticized Belgrade for Serbian [00:16:24] weapons ending up in Ukraine. In an interview [00:16:27] with German Faz, former US Ambassador [00:16:31] to Serbia, Christopher Hill, says that he was the [00:16:35] mediator between Belgrade and Kyiv. However, experts say [00:16:38] that the claims in the mentioned text that Kyiv and Belgrade [00:16:42] are planning joint work on drones are for now unlikely. [00:16:45] I would not rule out the possibility that it is possible, I don't know [00:16:49] if it will actually happen. Serbia previously concluded a contract with an [00:16:53] Israeli company regarding the production of drones, but that [00:16:56] is certainly a possibility. Ukraine has shown impressive [00:17:00] resilience, precisely why Serbs, that is, all Serbs who [00:17:03] harbor some support for Russia or Vladimir Putin [00:17:07] should. "rethink it, Serbia has something that can help [00:17:10] Ukraine in resisting Russia, but [00:17:14] uh, the idea that now somehow all [00:17:17] efforts will be put in one place, here one must still [00:17:20] be careful, because Serbia still [00:17:23] counts on maintaining a relationship [00:17:26] with Russia, uh, I think that has long [00:17:30] ceased to be a partnership, but the former [00:17:34] Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar does not think so. [00:17:38] For the Russian media, he states that Zelenskyy's visit to Belgrade is not in line with [00:17:42] the wishes of Serbian citizens and represents the result of pressure [00:17:45] from Brussels and the revenge of the European Union due to, as he said, [00:17:49] President Aleksandar Vučić's refusal to sign [00:17:52] an anti-Russian declaration from the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit [00:17:55] held in July. Jelena Mirković, [00:17:59] N1, [00:18:00] Belgrade. [00:18:05] At least three people, including one child, were killed overnight in Russian [00:18:09] attacks near the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, a local [00:18:13] official reported. Missiles hit the area east of [00:18:16] Kyiv early this morning, witnesses reported powerful explosions, just [00:18:19] a few days after 21 people were killed in strikes across [00:18:23] Ukraine. Emergency services extinguished [00:18:27] fires in a building and a fuel tank in Kyiv, [00:18:30] Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on [00:18:33] Telegram. [00:18:37] Typhoon Dolphin hit Japan's southern prefecture of Okinawa, injuring [00:18:40] six people, more than 50,000 households [00:18:44] were left without electricity. China, meanwhile, [00:18:47] closed ports and suspended ferry traffic ahead [00:18:51] of the expected arrival of the storm on its east coast. Japanese [00:18:54] domestic airlines canceled flights to and from [00:18:58] Okinawa. The typhoon had a maximum wind speed of 162 [00:19:02] km/h, while gusts reached [00:19:05] 216 km/h. Okinawa and [00:19:08] Amami Island are expected to be the most affected areas in Japan [00:19:12] and China, where the typhoon is expected to make landfall [00:19:16] between Sunday and Monday, authorities have assigned Dolphin [00:19:19] an orange category, the second highest warning level, [00:19:23] due to the risk of floods and landslides, authorities also [00:19:26] raised the emergency response level for Typhoon Dolphin to level [00:19:29] Delfin na nivo [00:19:30] three. [00:19:35] The water level of the Danube near Novi Sad has never been so low, [00:19:39] the receding water revealed numerous remains of the past, [00:19:42] the N1 team explored by boat everything that has emerged [00:19:46] these days. [00:19:49] The Danube near Novi Sad has fallen so much that what has been hidden [00:19:52] for decades has begun to emerge from the water. To see what [00:19:56] the river left behind, we get on a boat with Borislav, [00:20:00] who practically grew up on the river. And the first thing he [00:20:03] shows us is what should not have been in the middle of the river. [00:20:09] What are we currently standing on? Well, we are standing on an incredible place, we are standing [00:20:12] on the remaining foundations [00:20:15] of the Petronije fortress which stood on the war island, which was once [00:20:19] in the middle of the Danube and simply this has never [00:20:23] come out, as far as I know, in my lifetime and fishermen and people around me [00:20:26] who have spent a lot of time on the Danube do not remember such a sight, [00:20:30] I mean I've never seen this. Never like this, say even those [00:20:34] who are now researching the phenomenon. At this place stood... The Serbian [00:20:37] trench built at the end of the 17th century to protect the fortress, but [00:20:41] the Danube swallowed it during the following centuries. As old [00:20:45] cadastral maps show, that fortress was [00:20:48] slowly disappearing with the waves of the Danube until it completely disappeared [00:20:52] by the end of the 19th century, now, thanks to such a low [00:20:56] water level of the Danube, we are for the first time able to [00:20:59] see some remains of that [00:21:02] fortification. With the receding water, objects from [00:21:05] different eras emerged, from Turkish and Austrian pipes to [00:21:09] cannonballs from the time of the siege, however, while some are researching what the river [00:21:12] revealed, others are having difficulty sailing because of it, but in the last [00:21:16] week and a half, all traffic has stopped, [00:21:19] even some boats cannot leave their [00:21:22] Danube spots where they are [00:21:25] parked in marinas, and to see how much the Danube has receded and where it [00:21:29] is now shallowest, we continue by boat from Oficirac to Novi [00:21:32] Sad, where new sandbanks have emerged from the water, so [00:21:36] here we are currently above the Freedom Bridge and [00:21:39] this is where all the rafts of Novi Sad are, you can [00:21:43] see them standing on dry land, so much has the Danube fallen [00:21:47] that they didn't manage to move them, I mean they can't move them, they would have to enter the river, [00:21:50] what is a new place for people to sunbathe, for some it's a new [00:21:54] habitat, I see now here many birds have [00:21:58] settled, at least temporarily, so, [00:22:01] how does this situation actually affect both animal and plant [00:22:04] life, well it affects animal life [00:22:08] in such a way that now cormorants and gulls have more to [00:22:12] feed on, especially these gulls, because they are [00:22:15] scavengers, right, so they eat shells and everything else, here you can really [00:22:18] see all kinds. From grey herons, cormorants, [00:22:22] ducks, as for the fish stock, it is significantly [00:22:25] endangered, because the fish stock did not spawn this year due to the water level [00:22:29] itself, and the consequences do not end on the shore, due to [00:22:32] shallows, barges that transport fuel and export [00:22:35] grain via the Danube, sail with significantly smaller cargo or cannot [00:22:39] sail at all, so part of the transport [00:22:42] trains. Ina Džakula, N1, Novi [00:22:45] Sad. [00:22:49] Traffic jams, delays of buses and trams and [00:22:53] the increasing need of citizens for fast and reliable transport are daily [00:22:57] challenges in BiH cities, how efficient is public transport in Sarajevo [00:23:01] today, what do passengers say, and what do the authorities, [00:23:04] are there plans for improvement? [00:23:08] Every day thousands of citizens of Sarajevo use public [00:23:11] transport to get to work, school or [00:23:15] university, and while some believe that the service is much [00:23:19] better than before, others expect more lines, [00:23:23] less crowds, more buses, [00:23:25] more buses, less crowds, [00:23:29] do you use public transport, always, [00:23:33] are you satisfied with the services, yes, what would you change, well [00:23:36] not much, as for me, I am satisfied, [00:23:40] because I don't use it much, it's more for these [00:23:43] workers, for students, it's not just crowds, this, [00:23:47] but also irregular buses. [00:23:50] buses, you know that if you miss one line, then [00:23:53] for one bus, for an hour there is no other, so I know I wait [00:23:57] for an hour at the station. In the past [00:24:00] period, the public transport fleet has been renewed, [00:24:03] 25 new trams and 35 [00:24:07] trolleybuses have been purchased, while work on the tram line [00:24:11] from Ilidža to Hrasnica is in the final stages. In these six years [00:24:14] we have changed, reconstructed the existing [00:24:17] tram line from Marin Dvor to Ilidža. completely for the first time in [00:24:21] 60 years today trams run on that line, [00:24:25] we brought the trolleybus back to Vogošća. The development [00:24:28] of public transport is not important only for more comfortable [00:24:31] travel. Experts point out that a quality system [00:24:34] reduces traffic jams, the number of cars on [00:24:38] roads contributes to cleaner air. So [00:24:41] as far as the development of public transport itself is concerned. It is the pillar [00:24:45] of urban mobility of every city, meaning the lifeline of [00:24:48] public transport functioning, why? Because [00:24:51] if we have development [00:24:55] of public transport and we have fewer vehicles on the roads, [00:24:58] people see this as an excellent alternative in terms of [00:25:02] daily commutes, going to work, going to school and so [00:25:06] on. We are in the final stages of completing a project called adaptive [00:25:09] traffic management, that is a completely different traffic light management than we had [00:25:13] until now, mm we work with algorithms that [00:25:17] count the number of vehicles on the roads, according to the number of vehicles. They are released [00:25:20] the so-called green wave or, let's say, effectively, [00:25:24] a green light. The modernization of public transport does not end [00:25:28] with the acquisition of new vehicles. Equally important remains [00:25:31] reliability, availability, frequency of lines, because [00:25:35] it is precisely on them that it depends whether citizens will choose public transport [00:25:38] as their first [00:25:39] choice. [00:25:43] Newly graduated masters in the educational system [00:25:46] encounter closed doors when it comes to [00:25:48] employment. Despite being trained for new [00:25:52] reforms in education, without experience there is no job. This [00:25:56] is one of the reasons for the decline in interest of young people in teaching [00:26:00] professions. [00:26:02] are young people excluded from the job race, confirms Larisa Kadić for N1 [00:26:06] with her personal example. She is just one of many teachers who [00:26:10] express dissatisfaction with employment in the educational [00:26:13] system. However, I think that somehow the system [00:26:17] has let us down a bit in a way, because when [00:26:20] you are a person who has just finished university and applied for [00:26:24] a competition, you don't have points [00:26:27] to even be in [00:26:31] any position on that list, so I [00:26:34] noticed that colleagues who have a golden badge were also [00:26:38] at the bottom of the list itself, so [00:26:41] I believe that system is not really, not really in [00:26:45] our favor. The only chance for employment remains to wait for [00:26:48] someone to call them for a substitute, and in that way gain work experience [00:26:52] that is scored. Young people usually give up these opportunities [00:26:56] due to financial insecurity. Teachers who have just finished [00:27:00] school, beginners in the last ten years. are [00:27:03] certainly in a less favorable position in terms of not being able to gain [00:27:07] enough points based on professional qualifications, based [00:27:10] on, uh, work experience, their only [00:27:13] option is precisely what I said in the case when they are deficit [00:27:17] staff, then there is no problem, someone who is a graduated [00:27:20] student, say of Latin, he should not have a problem finding a [00:27:24] job, however where there is a large number of staff, [00:27:28] the advantage absolutely goes to people who have work experience. [00:27:32] at the University of Sarajevo, interest in teaching [00:27:35] professions is declining, as the Vice-Rector, Professor Doctor [00:27:39] Dženana Husremović, points out. Employment after [00:27:42] completing studies, especially in [00:27:45] public institutions, and the majority of our schools and kindergartens are public [00:27:48] institutions, implies scoring [00:27:51] implies some procedures that do not [00:27:55] consider, that still, let's say, still do not sufficiently [00:27:58] consider the fact that that first employment must be made easier. In [00:28:02] fact. speaks in favor of us needing to dedicate ourselves even more to [00:28:05] training, informing, opening up [00:28:08] space especially for young people to show creativity [00:28:11] and innovativeness. Young people trained for reforms in [00:28:14] education often do not even get the opportunity to work in their [00:28:17] profession. Employment regulations are not [00:28:19] helpful either. This raises the question of whether the [00:28:23] educational system is ready to accept changes and [00:28:26] allow young people to truly implement reforms in education [00:28:31] paper.
