[00:00:00] plant that shows that this plant did not absorb [00:00:04] any heavy metals or other dangerous compounds, so [00:00:07] it is in the immediate vicinity, a landfill, which means immediate vicinity, what is that radius? Well, I think [00:00:11] it's about a hundred meters distance from 50 [00:00:15] to a hundred meters [00:00:18] from [00:00:20] the landfill. [00:00:28] We heard... Runoslav Capak, we are here, we are [00:00:32] in Ličke Vode, where we continue the conversation with [00:00:35] Katarina Rukavina, Mrs. Rukavina, good day [00:00:39] to you, of course, the citizens, but also the entire public in [00:00:43] Croatia are interested in how often these analyses are performed [00:00:46] and what is tested, who performs these [00:00:50] analyses? Good day to you, we [00:00:53] perform analyses regularly according to our annual sampling [00:00:56] plan, for example, we are currently talking about small [00:01:00] analyses for Gospić and Otočac, in [00:01:03] Gospić, small A analyses are performed four times a month, [00:01:07] which is about 15 samples per week, for example, [00:01:10] while in Otočac it is two times a month, eight [00:01:13] locations and the locations are mm [00:01:17] arranged to cover the entire mm water supply [00:01:20] network. Analyses are performed by the Institute of Public [00:01:23] Health of the Lika-Senj County and the Croatian Institute of Public [00:01:26] Health, and all analyses are immediately upon [00:01:30] receipt by the competent institutions published on our websites. [00:01:33] mhm, if you can just explain what [00:01:36] small analyses are, i.e., what is [00:01:39] consensus on tested with them? Well, small A analyses are regular [00:01:42] analyses that we do, there are additional analyses [00:01:46] that we will introduce, mm, [00:01:49] specifically now about this whole situation, in [00:01:52] coordination with the competent institutes, [00:01:55] we will introduce monitoring of, or monitoring [00:01:59] of para... parameters that were elevated at the illegal [00:02:03] waste dump, these are [00:02:05] lead, zinc, copper, [00:02:08] mm, antimony, PFAS will be [00:02:11] done, mm, and we also added chromium, [00:02:15] and iron, manganese and aluminum will continue to be monitored, [00:02:18] this is monitored every month at the sources, [00:02:21] so that today in the morning [00:02:24] hours, the first samples were taken, mm, [00:02:28] it will continue to be monitored, and [00:02:30] regularly continuously, everything depends [00:02:34] on hydrological and meteorological conditions, [00:02:38] so in, I don't know, in periods of severe droughts, [00:02:41] samples will be taken, also after heavy rains, [00:02:45] everything that can affect it, well, there's a lot of talk [00:02:48] about it now, everyone says that the water is microbiologically [00:02:52] sound, however, if I understood correctly, the water has not been [00:02:55] tested for these PFAS compounds until now, [00:02:59] that is, that testing was performed [00:03:02] once a year precisely because of that, the citizens of [00:03:05] Otočac complained that the [00:03:09] last analysis was performed in April of this year. What about [00:03:12] Gospić? The water is microbiologically [00:03:14] sound, as for PFAS, we have been [00:03:18] obliged to monitor PFAS in sources [00:03:22] since January 12 of this year, [00:03:24] source monitoring is performed once a year according [00:03:28] to the Water Services Act, so [00:03:32] we do it in accordance with that, the last analysis in Otočac [00:03:35] was done in April, that's when the source monitoring [00:03:39] was planned, that's why the last PFAS [00:03:43] analyses were done then. And here in [00:03:46] Gospić, an extraordinary analysis was done in March [00:03:50] at the Mrđenovac source, [00:03:53] the distribution shaft in the center where the [00:03:57] Mrđenovac water mixes was taken, [00:04:00] mm, PFAS were not [00:04:04] detected, they were also not detected in the analysis from [00:04:08] April in Otočac. Will these PFAS analyses [00:04:12] be done more often now? Yes, well, as I said, we are starting [00:04:16] with increased monitoring, all [00:04:19] in agreement with the competent institutions. After [00:04:22] the expert findings, were tests for PFAS [00:04:26] compounds done here in Gospić? [00:04:29] Well, in our jurisdiction [00:04:32] is only mm water from the public [00:04:35] water supply system which is not related to that expertise [00:04:39] and no analyses were done on water [00:04:42] from the water supply system so I [00:04:46] don't have information on that, [00:04:48] the result was a heavy fiasco, meaning that in the water that the citizens of Gospić [00:04:51] drink, no analysis for PFAS compounds [00:04:54] has been done now, it was done in March, [00:04:57] samples were taken today that will be continuously monitored, [00:05:01] how long does it take for samples from Zagreb [00:05:05] to reach you, how long does the analysis take? Well, [00:05:09] it depends, this is done by the Croatian Institute of Public Health. [00:05:12] So we immediately upon receiving their findings [00:05:15] publish them on our websites. Thank you very much [00:05:19] for this conversation. [00:05:22] We heard what Ličke Vode has to say. Interesting [00:05:26] answers, we certainly remain, we are following this [00:05:28] story. [00:05:31] Yes, thank you Katarina. It was absolutely interesting to hear that the last [00:05:34] analysis, if I understood correctly, for PFAS compounds in Gospić [00:05:37] was done five [00:05:39] months ago. [00:05:56] And as usually happens, the ecological crisis, this time ecological [00:05:59] in Gospić, completely shook the political scene, [00:06:03] but also caused a new rift in the opposition, Most's attempt to [00:06:06] unite the opposition and initiate the recall of the government, failed miserably, no one [00:06:10] came to the meeting in the Parliament. [00:06:12] While the opposition tries to agree on joint action, Prime Minister [00:06:16] Plenković accuses them of being hysterical and spreading [00:06:19] panic, and that the citizens of Gospić do not need to worry, more [00:06:23] in Nataša Vidaković's report. [00:06:26] Prime Minister, would you drink water there? We [00:06:29] trust the Croatian Institute of Public Health, citizens of Gospić, [00:06:33] you can be, according to the information given to us by Mr. Capak, when it [00:06:37] comes to water quality in Gospić, calm, it is [00:06:40] of good quality and not endangered. That is the Prime Minister's message to the concerned citizens [00:06:44] of Gospić, and 37,000 tons [00:06:47] of ecotoxic waste buried in the Lika soil activated the strongest [00:06:51] political bomb this year, giving the Prime Minister a reason to [00:06:54] urgently gather coalition partners for a video [00:06:58] meeting from Banski Dvori, he arrived before journalists with a clear plan. The problem [00:07:01] of dangerous waste in Gospić will be dissected by the government on three levels. The first [00:07:05] level is judicial, the head of government shifts the blame to [00:07:08] institutions and reminds that the problem is not from yesterday. The period [00:07:12] that DORH is dealing with regarding incriminated [00:07:16] actions is approximately the period of the last five or six years, not [00:07:19] only will they be held accountable in criminal proceedings, but the [00:07:23] state will later, in accordance with the law, turn to them in criminal proceedings [00:07:27] and seek financial compensation [00:07:30] for conducting remediation. The next level concerns [00:07:34] the key demands of citizens and local authorities in Gospić, operations [00:07:37] and site remediation through a repeated public call until August [00:07:41] 25. All will be coordinated by the Ministry of Environmental [00:07:44] Protection, and assistance in waste management will also be sought [00:07:48] from European countries. At the external level, out of a total of [00:07:51] 37 tons, 32 tons [00:07:55] are buried at the location of the former [00:07:59] PKK Velebit. And [00:08:01] these 5 tons that are on the surface, [00:08:05] for them, that public call is currently open. We believe that [00:08:08] this time interested companies [00:08:12] will respond. The third level was reserved for political [00:08:15] confrontation. This context clearly describes what [00:08:19] hysteria is about, what all that energy [00:08:22] is about in the middle of summer, from the opposition and some other actors, [00:08:25] so as not to create some fabricated [00:08:29] emergency situation. And now we told you that the drinking water is [00:08:32] fine according to the standards of the Croatian [00:08:35] Institute of Public Health. People are scared and [00:08:39] want solutions, solutions are not found. hysteria [00:08:43] is created by the opposition for its political interests. [00:08:46] The response from the left came immediately. Sandra Benčić [00:08:49] rejects accusations of politicking and says that the government is trying [00:08:53] to hide its own inertia behind long-standing investigations. While I [00:08:57] was watching him with you, I was receiving [00:09:00] dozens and dozens of messages from citizens and [00:09:03] people who are following this, what is this. [00:09:07] That's how a prime minister addresses [00:09:10] his citizens. "In times [00:09:13] of serious crisis, I think all citizens should see this address [00:09:17] of his, that we can say that he is [00:09:20] no longer prime minister, after this he cannot have legitimacy, the press [00:09:24] conference of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković is something [00:09:27] most shameful that has been seen in Croatian politics in recent years, [00:09:31] in public, so it's unheard of [00:09:34] in such a situation, [00:09:37] he starts the press conference by accusing the opposition of politicking, [00:09:41] of stirring up hysteria." "Listing bureaucratic [00:09:44] alleged successes of his government, but while the government and the Homeland [00:09:47] Movement discuss remediation, the opposition front suffered a complete [00:09:51] collapse on St. Mark's Square, the Most party tried to take the helm [00:09:55] of the crisis and unite the opposition to overthrow the government, [00:10:00] literally no one showed up at the meeting they urgently [00:10:03] called. We will not call anyone out [00:10:07] today, it is not the time for that, we will only say that we are [00:10:10] sorry, and... we will continue [00:10:13] to systematically deal with this issue [00:10:17] as we have done so far. Dado [00:10:20] Milinović said that he never participated, that he was not [00:10:24] a prefect or mayor during [00:10:27] Šinsek's time, which is a notorious lie, it is [00:10:30] a notorious lie that the Chief State Attorney's Office and USKOK probably [00:10:34] want to cover up now because they are protecting Ćorić, and why [00:10:38] are they protecting them both, because the question arises whether they both [00:10:42] participated together in certain machinations in [00:10:45] Plitvice Lakes? Most are, they are ridiculous, unfortunately, I will [00:10:49] say this about Most, what is ridiculous on the left, we can, it is [00:10:53] on the so-called... artificial right-wingers, [00:10:57] Most, which is otherwise a plant that [00:11:00] destroys everything in Dalmatia, Dalmatians know that, so Tročko [00:11:03] also wants to destroy an investigation that is going in the right [00:11:06] direction, pushing some things [00:11:10] towards me, from the DP, like the Prime Minister, they assure that the majority [00:11:13] is stable, unlike the bickering of the opposition, given that we have [00:11:17] therefore an open public call until August 25th, we [00:11:20] are willing to wait another two weeks, those two weeks will [00:11:23] pass quickly, and after that we expect that other modalities such [00:11:27] as a negotiating settlement will [00:11:31] be approached. And while the opposition tries to agree on [00:11:34] joint action, Prime Minister Plenković keeps his distance from [00:11:38] the crisis location. Are you planning to go to Lika and perhaps talk to those [00:11:41] people? We want to and we will do it, when we decide [00:11:45] it's the right moment. While the Prime Minister waits for the right moment to visit [00:11:48] Lika, the opposition once again drowned in bickering and failed [00:11:52] meetings, the political war around Gospić continues. [00:11:55] Nataša Vidaković, N1, [00:11:58] Zagreb. [00:12:00] We heard in the report part of Prime Minister Plenković's messages, he particularly [00:12:04] referred today to the opposition, which he considers hysterical [00:12:07] in the middle of the tourist [00:12:09] season. [00:12:12] This context clearly describes what [00:12:15] hysteria is about, what all that energy [00:12:18] is about in the middle of summer, from the opposition and some other actors, [00:12:21] so as not to create some fabricated [00:12:25] emergency situation, do you think the citizens of Gospić [00:12:29] wanted to hear all this you said today, because if we go back to this [00:12:32] part about remediation, apart from confronting political opponents, you actually [00:12:36] said nothing new, except they were ordered to [00:12:39] speed up, [00:12:41] as for the citizens of Gospić, the message to them is first [00:12:45] not to succumb to panic, hysteria, [00:12:48] fabrication, as the opposition and their prominent [00:12:52] leaders do, so suddenly in the middle of summer, so... So, [00:12:55] I will explain the context again, public opinion polling [00:12:59] trends, a slowed rate of inflation, investment [00:13:02] credit rating, practically full employment, a brilliant [00:13:06] tourist season, there is a problem that has been going on here [00:13:09] for several years, thanks to our [00:13:12] initiative, due to the principle of transparency, [00:13:15] the report of the Geotechnical Faculty was published, as you read [00:13:19] it, citizens read it, everyone else reads it, the opposition [00:13:23] also reads it, and tries to profit from it. As for the citizens of Gospić, [00:13:26] the Croatian Institute of Public Health will report on water quality [00:13:30] every three days, the ministry is scared because [00:13:33] of the hysteria created by the opposition for its political interests, [00:13:37] the difference in the initiatives in that area, they have been reacting [00:13:41] for some time before the opposition, the opposition joined last, well, the opposition [00:13:45] joined last, but it takes advantage, I am now addressing the opposition, and [00:13:49] when it comes to the State Inspectorate, why do we still not have a Chief State Inspector, [00:13:52] because Mr. Samac as acting performs the job now, why [00:13:56] don't you then appoint him as Chief State Inspector, he performs the job, [00:14:00] the Inspectorate works, when will we get a new Chief State Inspector, when [00:14:03] we decide we need one, do you think we don't need a Chief State Inspector, [00:14:07] the Inspectorate works, will [00:14:10] the Inspectorate remain in this form as it is now, or will the inspection [00:14:13] perhaps return to the ministries, I do not at this moment have a plan [00:14:17] to dismantle the State Inspectorate, I don't know where that [00:14:20] idea comes from, I ask, uh, I ask until when did you [00:14:24] give yourselves a deadline to appoint a new Chief State Inspector? We didn't give ourselves [00:14:27] a deadline. Do you have [00:14:30] candidates? I told you, you didn't answer, [00:14:34] do you have candidates? I told you, when we decide. [00:14:38] Does Minister Vučković have your trust? Yes, [00:14:41] why wouldn't she? What is happening? [00:14:45] Why? Look, I have to repeat [00:14:49] once again, it's summer, the context is [00:14:52] as it is, waste has been dumped there for six years. [00:14:56] Waste disposal was stopped more than a year and a half ago, as far as I [00:14:59] understand, at the end of 2024 or at the latest at the beginning of 2025. [00:15:03] The criminal proceedings are underway, the remediation process is [00:15:06] underway, a transparent report of the Geotechnical [00:15:09] Faculty was published as part of the investigations conducted by DORH, so [00:15:13] everything is available to everyone in Croatia, we have [00:15:17] the criminal legal level, the remediation level, and [00:15:20] the politicking, political level. The opposition will engage in [00:15:23] politicking, we will engage in politics, well, it's not just about [00:15:26] the opposition, people down there are worried, you know, they have been calling for this for a long [00:15:30] time, the hysteria is being created by the opposition and the media who have no other topics, here [00:15:34] you go, quite precisely, please, are you saying that this [00:15:37] is not a serious problem, I told you that we do not underestimate the problem, [00:15:41] we care about solving it, we send a truthful [00:15:45] message to the citizens, that is the difference between us and them, so we will not send a message, [00:15:48] people, the water will be polluted in Novalja, Karlobag and Senj, only [00:15:52] someone extremely irresponsible, unserious would do that, [00:15:56] in the middle of the tourist season, whoever advocates for that, does not [00:16:00] want good for Croatia, for Croatia or Croatian [00:16:02] tourism, [00:16:05] we also heard this part of the Prime Minister's speech in which he accused the opposition [00:16:09] several times of hysterizing, fabricating, and all of that, [00:16:13] he repeated it several times in the middle of the tourist season, which [00:16:16] obviously bothers him a lot. Let's go now to Zabok where colleague Maja [00:16:20] Štrbac is with the guest, the president of the SDP, Siniša Hajdaš [00:16:24] Dončić. Maja, [00:16:24] please. [00:16:28] Marinela, thank you, that's right. I am here with [00:16:32] the leader of the largest opposition party in the Republic [00:16:35] of Croatia, Siniša Hajdaš Dončić. Welcome [00:16:38] to the program, thank you, good day everyone, we heard [00:16:42] the words of Andrej Plenković, the Prime Minister, [00:16:44] the opposition's hysterization, fabrication [00:16:47] of stories, what do you say to that? Well, Mr. [00:16:50] Plenković's surreal press conference every time [00:16:54] he has no solution, he often has no solution, there are only [00:16:58] nice stories and colorful balloons and colorful [00:17:01] lies, he blames either citizens or the opposition [00:17:04] or associations, so this problem was discovered [00:17:08] thanks to associations and brave people in Lika-Senj County, [00:17:11] it showed that the waste management system in Croatia does not [00:17:15] work, it is simply impossible and incomprehensible that [00:17:18] 37,000 tons of garbage or 1,500 trucks and [00:17:22] trailers are brought to Gospić, not only to Gospić, as I [00:17:26] talked to some associations, with Mr. Bezjak, [00:17:30] for example, from Senj, who confirmed to me that these [00:17:33] trucks ended up elsewhere, I ask the question whether Croatia is [00:17:37] a mafia state, whether at the [00:17:40] head of the state is a mafioso or [00:17:43] the Prime Minister, all those who participated in this [00:17:46] dirty work have one common [00:17:49] trait, namely, both the county prefect of that county, and the head of department, and the person [00:17:52] who issued the permits, as well as the Chief [00:17:56] State Inspector, and the Prime Minister have [00:17:59] HDZ membership cards, so my story begins and ends there, [00:18:02] someone allowed that, then instead of for the first [00:18:06] time... to humble himself, to be [00:18:09] humble, to show that he is prime minister, to say, ok, errors happened in the [00:18:12] system, this is a matter of national threat, I have [00:18:16] some solutions, so instead of saying what that [00:18:19] solution is, what the deadlines are, who is responsible for remediation, now first it [00:18:23] needs to be remediated, he hysterizes and attacks the opposition [00:18:26] and associations and citizens of Lika-Senj County, so that is [00:18:30] simply scandalous, so his press conference today [00:18:34] is scandalous, but that is actually Andrej Plenković and people [00:18:37] must recognize him, a person who tries to calm down passions [00:18:41] with his polished language that do not [00:18:45] exist, a person who in principle manages Croatia [00:18:48] with tokens and a person who is bad for Croatia, so a person who [00:18:52] has no vision, a person who actually doesn't know what he's doing, except to [00:18:55] satisfy his narrow particular interests, [00:18:58] the interests of his political party, for them one thing is important, what is important [00:19:02] to them is to stay in power, so they can continue to steal, so they can poison people, that [00:19:06] is Andrej Plenković. [00:19:09] Most representatives today at noon tried to [00:19:12] hold a meeting of opposition representatives, but that [00:19:16] turned into a press conference, how come the SDP was not present? [00:19:20] I talked to Mr. Grmoja yesterday, so [00:19:22] by phone, I said that we will come to [00:19:26] Gospić for the committee meeting, that is the first step for us, so at [00:19:30] the committee meeting for environmental protection, concrete demands [00:19:33] can actually be made, after that, kudos to [00:19:36] everyone. The SDP is the only party in the Croatian Parliament that has the power by the number [00:19:40] of representatives to initiate any initiative and I think it is good, kudos to [00:19:44] everyone for the opposition parties that want to, so [00:19:48] join us, we can, so our initiative that will be [00:19:51] in autumn when we started now, that is actually [00:19:54] the recall of Andrej Plenković. So, I don't want [00:19:58] it's not fair, so that some other opposition parties now [00:20:01] use their moment, I'm not talking about Mr. Troskot here and with [00:20:05] various letters calling for unity. [00:20:07] The opposition needs to know that the SDP is the largest [00:20:11] opposition party, that it cooperates with the left opposition, [00:20:14] we also cooperate very well with Možemo and with Dalija Orešković, with [00:20:17] Ms. Puljak, and with some other representatives, we have our own, [00:20:21] so to speak, political story, what I called [00:20:25] for and I don't want that, I will be very clear, I praised Mr. [00:20:28] Troskot who held, who sought, who investigated, who [00:20:32] invested a lot of energy, so in uncovering this true truth [00:20:36] about uh... "I will say colossal damage that was [00:20:39] inflicted on Croatia, so I do not dispute that at all, but people [00:20:43] must know that the SDP is the largest Croatian political party that has the largest [00:20:47] number of mandates that actually the entire..." dynamics [00:20:50] will depend on the SDP and on the agreement between the SDP and Možemo, I say, I invited [00:20:53] everyone to join because this is a transnational issue, I mean, [00:20:57] I have no problem with Most being in this issue with us, but I [00:21:01] always have a small reservation towards Most, and that is that Most [00:21:04] twice brought HDZ to power in Croatia, so we must be [00:21:08] careful, but on this issue we can cooperate [00:21:10] together. You just said that you [00:21:14] politically disagree with Most, that the opposition is not united, [00:21:18] that is, we have left and right, which [00:21:20] is the most normal thing, but this is not a regular issue, this is not an issue [00:21:24] in which one should politicize, in which it should be important who is left [00:21:28] and who is right, because we are talking about [00:21:30] national water, we are talking about people's safety, [00:21:34] we are talking about people who are really living in fear, so isn't it time now to [00:21:37] cast off those chains of politics that ultimately [00:21:41] led us to delay , that is, to postpone [00:21:44] for so long, the remediation of such a [00:21:48] situation, for that situation. The situation is the sole responsibility of the Government of the Republic [00:21:51] of Croatia, so the SDP very constructively two days ago [00:21:55] proposed a whole set of measures on how we would remediate [00:21:58] this damage, so in agreement with the Austrian [00:22:02] institute in agreement with our experts from the council, so we offered this as [00:22:06] our public solution, and as for your first [00:22:09] question, yes, I also told you a few minutes ago that this is [00:22:12] a transnational issue, that this is not an issue where left and right are divided [00:22:15] and I praised Mr. Troskot, but I also [00:22:19] said: "that the SDP is the largest opposition political party that [00:22:22] actually in conversation with us, I believe that we can all [00:22:26] reach a common [00:22:29] how and in what way we will introduce the story into parliamentary [00:22:32] parliamentary procedure, I have no problem with that, I said, wasn't this an opportunity to achieve [00:22:36] that, well, we will do that now, I talked to Mr. Grmoj, well, [00:22:39] I told you and I said very nicely that we should meet on Friday in Gospić and [00:22:43] that we will talk at the committee, after the committee, we will see how it [00:22:46] will end, we will, together with the people who want to initiate an initiative in [00:22:50] the parliament, so I really have no problem with that, the Prime Minister said [00:22:53] that on Friday parliamentary representatives [00:22:57] of the parliamentary majority will come there, what do you expect from that meeting? Well, parliamentary [00:23:01] representatives are paid to do their job and I think that for 4,500 [00:23:04] euros of parliamentary salary, they must come to their workplace, [00:23:08] their workplace is the committee, so the committee as well as the parliamentary [00:23:11] session is actually the workplace of parliamentary representatives, [00:23:15] so we will see how the parliamentary representatives from HDZ or DP will [00:23:19] behave, we will as always be [00:23:22] constructive regarding the consequences, how to remediate the damage [00:23:25] caused, but also what I said that the SDP will, I hope that the [00:23:29] rest of the opposition will join us, because I did not notice [00:23:33] any dissenting voices from Mr. Grmoja, that he will [00:23:37] join us, so in the attempt to recall Andrej [00:23:40] Plenković, because I personally consider him [00:23:43] responsible, so for this crime of poisoning people, because he [00:23:46] chose the Chief State Inspector who received bribes. He is his [00:23:50] friend, he is his buddy, the former president of the city organization [00:23:53] of HDZ of the city of Zagreb, people must know that. Well, the position of Chief [00:23:57] State Inspector is still vacant. Today, the Prime Minister [00:24:01] also commented on that, and he said that when they agree, then they will [00:24:04] agree, he didn't want to give a clear answer, [00:24:08] he didn't even give a deadline, we still have a person [00:24:11] in that position as acting, so what do you think about that, [00:24:15] is it such an important, that is, unimportant function as it was [00:24:19] somehow [00:24:21] presented to the public today, well that is the real Andrej Plenković, when you [00:24:25] ask him about deadlines, when you ask him about delivery, he runs away, he bows and he runs away, so he is [00:24:29] a person who is not operative, so he [00:24:32] when he decides because he's faking, I can't say what he's [00:24:35] faking, so he thinks that he should decide who will [00:24:39] be the chief state inspector, I think that the chief state inspector should have been appointed six [00:24:43] months ago, it is a very responsible function, [00:24:46] let's call it a function that actually needs to prevent such... [00:24:50] to use a harsh word, I wanted to say something starting with "s", but like this [00:24:54] let's say the devastation of Croatian territory, so for that [00:24:57] Andrej Plenković is exclusively responsible, the way he behaves towards you, [00:25:01] journalists, towards citizens, towards the opposition, so that is something to be [00:25:05] condemned, but that says something about him, a man without vision, a man who has no [00:25:08] deliveries, he has no deliveries and a man who doesn't know what deadlines are, that is [00:25:12] crucial, remember that, what is the vision of SDP's solution for this [00:25:16] whole situation, we proposed, so two days ago Mr. [00:25:20] Izmajlović proposed a five-step solution that is completely [00:25:23] different from the solution proposed by the government, so it's actually about [00:25:26] mobile facilities that treat waste on site [00:25:30] and after that, I'll shorten it now because it's quite a lot, so we don't go into [00:25:33] the technical area, which are then dismantled and returned to their place, so this [00:25:37] is not some expensive export to Austria where they completely messed up [00:25:41] with the prices, meaning they inflated it to cost 4,000, it actually costs [00:25:44] 800, but as I say, you can see everything on our SDP [00:25:48] website, that's... on our Facebook page, which are concrete things that [00:25:52] only concern the profession, we actually waited for the profession to help us, [00:25:56] so I say from Austria, one of the most respected universities, so they [00:25:59] make an analysis of how it should work and that. I say, the SDP, besides [00:26:03] criticism, is also a party that provides solutions, it's easiest to shout and [00:26:07] criticize, from the beginning of my mandate I demand to have solutions for [00:26:10] everything, about inflation, about pensions and about environmental protection and [00:26:14] defense, every time we give solutions, every time we have some [00:26:17] positions and I will continue to do so, whether you like [00:26:20] it or not, so it's not just about the commotion, [00:26:24] shouting, noise, it's about having concrete solutions, for people to [00:26:27] trust you, that's why we are careful, cautious, because this is not [00:26:31] a matter of political questions whether this is Most, whether this is [00:26:34] SDP, whether this is Možemo, I said openly, I commend Mr. [00:26:37] Troskot, but on the other hand, I also have apprehension towards Most, because they brought [00:26:41] HDZ to power twice, that's my right, but I talk to everyone, both left and [00:26:45] right. Mr. Hajdaš Dončić, thank you for your comment, thank [00:26:49] you. We heard the leader of the SDP, Siniša [00:26:52] Hajdaš Dončić, who says, Prime Minister [00:26:55] Andrej Plenković is to blame for everything, but he hinted that the [00:26:59] opposition will eventually, although it didn't seem so today, [00:27:03] be agreed on Friday about the issue of [00:27:06] illegal waste dumps? [00:27:10] Yes, thank you Maja, to you and that guest, we will see what happens on Friday, [00:27:14] whether there will be that agreement and in what way or not. [00:27:34] And while public attention is rightly directed towards [00:27:37] Gospić, another location from the same investigation is a little [00:27:40] out of focus. It is about Benkovac, where [00:27:44] USKOK investigators discovered one of the largest illegal landfills [00:27:47] even before the Gospić case. The same actors are involved in the whole story, [00:27:51] who are suspected of having illegally buried around [00:27:55] 11,000 cubic meters of shredded [00:27:57] plastic at that location. [00:28:01] A kilometer and a half from the center of Benkovac, investigators suspect that [00:28:04] about 11,000 cubic meters of shredded plastic [00:28:08] were buried, which, in order to hide what was being done, was covered with earth [00:28:12] and stone aggregate. Given that the location is within [00:28:15] a quarry, it is suspected that everything was done to make it look like an [00:28:19] old quarry was being remediated. And so that it wouldn't [00:28:21] bother us, but as far as I'm concerned, no one in Benkovac talks about it. Aren't [00:28:25] you concerned? We are concerned, but it's a military secret, it shouldn't [00:28:28] be talked about. HDZ is in power [00:28:31] here, and so on and so forth, no one talks about [00:28:35] that, but everyone knows all about it, who brought [00:28:38] it, where it was brought, where it was buried, everyone knows all about it, these [00:28:42] rulers of ours know it, in the city they say they had no idea [00:28:46] what was happening in that area and that analyzes showed that it was [00:28:50] non-hazardous waste and that there is no threat to the population, [00:28:54] modus operandi is the same as in Gospić, the same investigation, [00:28:57] the same suspects, the same chain of illegal [00:29:01] waste imports, just a different location. I am sincerely [00:29:04] surprised that it went so under the radar, that such [00:29:08] quantities could have been disposed of, whether in Gospić, or in Benkovac, or in [00:29:12] other locations in the Republic of Croatia, that it simply [00:29:15] wasn't prevented in any way, [00:29:17] obviously what I said before, I think that the law is [00:29:20] too lenient in that sense. And under the radar went Josip [00:29:24] Šincek, whom USKOK suspects of having buried huge quantities of waste [00:29:28] from Italy, Slovenia and Croatia here between 2022 and [00:29:30] 2024, and also obtained a construction [00:29:34] permit for everything, as shown by this sign, [00:29:38] very bad, very bad, what do I [00:29:41] think, if that's it, then it's I think [00:29:45] abnormal, do you think someone should be held responsible for this, of course, [00:29:48] the government, the authorities, the authorities [00:29:51] and those, those who did it, you [00:29:55] are responsible for your actions in life, I for mine, [00:29:59] the gentleman for his, so we all have to be responsible [00:30:03] for our actions, will they publish the findings of the expert examination [00:30:06] as in the Gospić case here from Benkovac, we asked [00:30:10] USKOK, we still haven't received an answer, about this illegal [00:30:14] landfill, we also asked the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green [00:30:17] Transition, from them there is also no answer. [00:30:21] We asked for a statement from the Zadar County, which issued a construction [00:30:24] permit for this location, they didn't respond to us. From [00:30:28] Most, they warn about the large amount of shredded plastic around [00:30:32] Lake Štika, because it directly and through groundwater participates [00:30:35] in the water supply of the Lika-Senj and Zadar counties, and is [00:30:39] connected to the Zrmanja River basin. Željko [00:30:42] Teufel, Teufel means devil in German, Željko [00:30:46] what a coincidence, [00:30:48] so that is a person whom USKOK definitely needs to question [00:30:51] and our question to the chief state prosecutor is [00:30:55] what are they waiting for, to question him, how is it that Caesar [00:30:58] dumped over...
