[00:23:16] that meat arrived at such strongly low.
[00:23:20] low prices, where our farmers and
[00:23:23] breeders simply cannot be competitive at all,
[00:23:26] they have problems with sales, we have
[00:23:29] surpluses, people simply don't know what
[00:23:32] to do and how to secure their
[00:23:35] livelihood, we believe that this drought
[00:23:38] and such a large import of meat and meat
[00:23:42] products into BiH will simply endanger
[00:23:46] this domestic population completely in BiH, that we will...

[00:23:53] of breeders, consequently we will reduce the volume
[00:23:57] of agricultural production,
[00:23:59] we will have to monitor what is happening in the European Union, if
[00:24:03] production in the European Union decreases as planned, today

[00:24:10] our population will then find itself in a very difficult
[00:24:13] situation. Who is thinking about that, well

[00:24:24] heatwave, but there are problems that are constant
[00:24:28] for years now and that no one is solving,

[00:24:52] agriculture interests no one from
[00:24:55] from from from municipalities to to the
[00:24:59] very top of the state and even down
[00:25:02] to the district, meaning here the
[00:25:05] situation is very very complicated, politicians
[00:25:08] abundantly use it, everyone
[00:25:11] pulls in their own direction, in the end production
[00:25:15] fails, production fails, as we heard from Mr.
[00:25:18] Mančić, if the volume of production decreases,
[00:25:22] price increases are expected, how realistic is it that this will happen,
[00:25:25] you say meat could become a luxury, what would
[00:25:29] that actually mean, what kind of prices can you
[00:25:32] somewhere, uh, we can all, in fact, in Bosnia and
[00:25:35] Herzegovina, expect if that
[00:25:38] happens?
[00:25:41] Well, you know, everything starts in our surroundings,
[00:25:44] the European Union. The European Union is largely
[00:25:48] striving to protect... its environment by reducing
[00:25:52] pollution, thus we now also have burdens on
[00:25:55] decarbonization, what does that actually mean? It means that
[00:25:59] the European Union is striving to produces as much.
[00:26:02] products as needed for their needs (100 to
[00:26:05] 103%)
[00:26:08] as soon as they achieve those plans, there will be no
[00:26:12] more surplus for third countries, including Bosnia and
[00:26:15] Herzegovina, which means that in that case, we will
[00:26:19] have to buy at market prices, which will
[00:26:22] of course be two times
[00:26:25] higher for BiH than they are now,
[00:26:29] at a minimum. Consequently, we have reduced
[00:26:32] production in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
[00:26:35] We are becoming dependent on imports of meat, meat
[00:26:38] products from our region. From
[00:26:41] this, you can yourself deduce what awaits us. For example,
[00:26:45] one Denmark, for example, in pig farming,
[00:26:49] since I am the president of the pig breeders' association, is reducing by about
[00:26:53] 170,000 sows or
[00:26:57] 6 million piglets annually.
[00:26:59] You can imagine.
[00:27:02] So Denmark is already the second country after
[00:27:06] the Netherlands. As soon as Germany and France do that, they have
[00:27:09] reduced production to enough for
[00:27:13] their own needs and there is no more surplus.

[00:27:52] country, it exists, because they relied, as Miša
[00:27:55] said, on this import. But that
[00:27:59] will slowly disappear. And what kind of import is it? What kind of meat
[00:28:03] do we eat? What kind of imported fruits and vegetables? How sure
[00:28:06] can we even be about the quality of food that comes to us
[00:28:09] from other countries? You can start with yourself: would you
[00:28:13] sell a car that serves you well, that is
[00:28:17] good, that is of good quality, or anything else? Well,
[00:28:21] it's the same with the goods that come here. Mišo
[00:28:24] said that we are those third world countries.
[00:28:28] What is good remains. The extra class and quality remain
[00:28:32] in the country that produced it. All the surplus, that's the
[00:28:36] junk, is placed in third
[00:28:38] countries. It comes here. And it came at

[00:29:36] how all of that is harder to find and more expensive today. However,
[00:29:40] how much harder will it be in the near future?
[00:29:43] How much more demotivated are people in the countryside
[00:29:47] to engage in farming
[00:29:49] and how much harder it all is and more
[00:29:53] expensive?
[00:29:55] This is sad, as my colleague Bićo also says,
[00:29:59] that many of our politicians do not see the essence of the problem,
[00:30:02] and that is that we now have
[00:30:05] in the countryside, as growers and
[00:30:07] producers of agricultural products, mostly, mostly
[00:30:11] people over 60 and more years old who remained in
[00:30:15] the countryside, while simply young people do not
[00:30:19] see the profitability
[00:30:23] in agricultural production. This means they do not see that they can
[00:30:26] survive and live decently. This is not about
[00:30:30] luxury but about living off their work.
[00:30:34] It's sad to work 365 days and
[00:30:37] when it comes to drawing the line, you see that you are at
[00:30:40] a loss, not that you haven't earned anything, but that you are at
[00:30:43] a loss, and simply, it's
[00:30:46] a huge demoralization demoralization of our
[00:30:49] youth who
[00:30:52] simply leave their homes and households and do not want to
[00:30:56] engage in agriculture. That is Bosnia's biggest problem.
