[00:00:30] Farmers in the Federation are demanding the declaration of a natural disaster due to [00:00:33] the prolonged drought. If urgent aid is not provided, a significant drop [00:00:37] in domestic production and massive closure of farms throughout [00:00:40] the Federation is threatened, and for citizens, new [00:00:43] on them in advance, but given price increases. [00:00:46] The situation, [00:00:48] well, I don't remember it being worse [00:00:52] regarding these [00:00:55] like this. [00:00:58] In tonight's news, don't miss these [00:01:00] stories. [00:01:05] Besides fighting for their lives, oncology patients in Sarajevo Canton continue to struggle with [00:01:09] problems in purchasing certain medications and cytostatics, a problem [00:01:12] that has been going on for years. Now, [00:01:16] on Tuesday, I need to receive therapy again, which means I will receive [00:01:18] half of it again. For the fourth month, I am still buying my [00:01:22] pills. [00:01:26] Is Brussels' course towards the authorities in Belgrade changing after the glorification [00:01:30] of war criminals, or are these individual actions taken under [00:01:34] pressure? [00:01:38] Russian elections concluded in the shadow of a massive attack by Ukrainian [00:01:41] drones, the dominance of the ruling United [00:01:44] Russia is expected. [00:01:48] Tomorrow, cloudy and falling temperatures, scattered light [00:01:52] rain [00:01:53] possible. [00:01:58] The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Farmers' Association has again, [00:02:02] for the second time, called on all cantonal governments to declare a state of natural [00:02:06] disaster due to the consequences of the prolonged drought, [00:02:09] warning that the situation in agricultural production is becoming [00:02:12] unsustainable. If there is no reaction, the consequences, they say, [00:02:16] will be serious. The situation on the global energy market does not help either, [00:02:19] which all together indicates new [00:02:22] potential price increases. A decline in domestic production and massive [00:02:26] closure of farms throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be direct consequences [00:02:30] of the authorities' negligence, farmers warn. Autumn sowing is also approaching, while prices of [00:02:33] reproduction materials and other inputs are constantly rising, they add. [00:02:36] The situation, I don't remember [00:02:40] it being worse regarding these [00:02:43] disasters since the spring sowing, since the war [00:02:47] in Iran when fuel prices increased, then everything went to [00:02:50] hell. That means fuel was four marks, seeds [00:02:53] expensive, fertilizers expensive during the sowing itself, then came this drought [00:02:57] that decimated production, so now, here it is, [00:03:00] fuel prices are increasing again, and when they increase, [00:03:04] everything else becomes more expensive, and sowing is coming. At the same time, purchase prices [00:03:08] are falling, so even production costs cannot be covered. Problems in [00:03:11] agriculture are, as expected, reflected in the prices [00:03:14] of products on supermarket shelves. Neither do developments on the global market [00:03:18] help prices, considering the new pressures on the energy [00:03:21] market. If there are again major disruptions, [00:03:25] it is quite certain that the increase in oil and oil [00:03:28] derivatives prices will again lead to a chain reaction of price increases [00:03:32] for all other essential foodstuffs. [00:03:35] each child are assessed, which is why Given the need to maintain stability, the Government [00:03:39] of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina extended the validity of the locked prices measure for [00:03:43] a hundred products until the end of the year. The list of a hundred [00:03:46] products remains the same. We will continue to monitor the market [00:03:50] and react where there is a need to do so. Taking [00:03:54] into account the interests of consumers and [00:03:56] market stability. For three months, representatives of the federal [00:04:00] government extended the measure of direct price control, determining the maximum amount [00:04:04] of margins for oil derivatives. The margin for companies engaged in [00:04:08] wholesale trade is limited to 0.06 [00:04:11] KM/liter, while for retail it is 0.25 [00:04:14] KM/liter. For 90 days, the maximum margin for pellets will be in [00:04:18] effect, with the wholesale margin being 4%, while [00:04:21] the retail margin will be 8% of the purchase [00:04:25] price. Pensioners traditionally bear price increases the hardest, but it's not [00:04:29] easy for young people either. We cope as best we can, there's nothing, I mean, [00:04:32] you simply adapt to the conditions, that's it, there [00:04:36] is no way, no recipe, do you even notice [00:04:40] the price lock, very little, indeed, every day [00:04:44] it's getting worse and worse, of course, it means it can be noticed, [00:04:47] in everything, mm, we will start with housing [00:04:50] issues, that means, life where young people today somehow [00:04:54] have to build it to become their own people, of course it's impossible, [00:04:58] today we all know that apartments start between 400 [00:05:01] and 500,000, not to mention the food industry [00:05:04] as well. The regulation on limited fuel margins, which was adopted [00:05:08] in 2021, remains in force in the Republic of Srpska. [00:05:11] Maximum margins of 0.06 KM/liter [00:05:14] are prescribed for wholesale, while for retail they are 0.25 [00:05:18] KM/liter. The government previously adopted a decision on direct support due to [00:05:21] disruptions in the oil derivatives market, which enabled citizens, businesses, and [00:05:25] self-employed entrepreneurs to reduce the price of unleaded [00:05:29] gasoline and diesel fuel by 0.10 KM per [00:05:32] liter. However, the measures of the entity governments are [00:05:34] insufficient, say consumer representatives, it is necessary to react at [00:05:37] the state level, they say. This means [00:05:41] VAT, it means other excise duties and so on, [00:05:44] in any case, the prices that are now, or that are being [00:05:47] announced, and the current ones are not at all [00:05:51] optimistic enough to be able to count [00:05:56] that elections are coming up in [00:05:59] BiH, many do not expect anyone to do anything, [00:06:02] and after the elections, a new increase in electricity [00:06:06] prices is expected. At the same time, it should be noted that the trade union [00:06:09] consumer basket for a family of four, calculated by the independent [00:06:13] trade unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for August, amounts to more than [00:06:17] 3,800 convertible marks (Tatjana [00:06:20] Drljić, N1). [00:06:24] And some have to add medicine expenses to these costs. [00:06:27] Oncology patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in addition to a difficult [00:06:30] diagnosis, daily fight for therapies that could mean [00:06:34] life for them. While modern medicine almost daily [00:06:38] brings new treatment options, new hope for the sick, many patients [00:06:42] in our country have difficulty accessing these therapies, and a part [00:06:45] of the costs must be borne by themselves. For them, therefore, treatment [00:06:49] is not just a fight against disease, but against [00:06:51] the system. Every lack of medicine [00:06:55] means one less chance for oncology patients. For [00:06:58] Imela Kašibović, this is not just statistics, but a struggle [00:07:02] that has been going on for years. After losing her sister to cancer, [00:07:06] today she is fighting the same disease together with her [00:07:10] mother, and... they increasingly have to buy [00:07:13] therapy for both with their own money. The problem [00:07:17] with the lack of cytostatics, she says, has been going on for [00:07:20] years, and there is still no solution. This morning I [00:07:24] received information, meaning out of 89 [00:07:28] important cytostatics, three are already [00:07:31] missing at the clinical center, meaning I must emphasize [00:07:35] that the clinical center has nothing to do with that shortage, meaning [00:07:38] the only main culprit is the Federal [00:07:42] for Health Insurance Reinsurance, meaning they are [00:07:45] obliged to procure and organize [00:07:48] that procurement, to procure those medicines so that we have them. So, this is the [00:07:52] fourth month, this Tuesday I need to receive therapy again, meaning I will [00:07:56] receive half of it again. [00:07:58] For the fourth month, I am still buying my pills, with the fact that [00:08:02] now my mom, who is also suffering from breast cancer, means she [00:08:06] uses the same pills, so [00:08:09] our cost and expense is doubled. For [00:08:12] reimbursement of costs, one waits longer than one should, [00:08:16] a step forward, however, was made in 2024 [00:08:20] when the Government of Sarajevo Canton abolished waiting [00:08:23] lists. As for the Ministry of Health, it is the only canton [00:08:27] that allocated funds for patients, outside [00:08:31] of the law, and I emphasize that, because federal funds are full, but we [00:08:35] cannot use those funds for patient treatment, so patients are [00:08:38] suffering, this needs to be resolved at the state, at the federal level. Patients [00:08:42] remain deprived of necessary medicines, and many [00:08:46] cannot afford to finance them themselves. We have that [00:08:50] medicine that, unfortunately, my beloved one used, meaning one ampoule, [00:08:54] not medicine, one ampoule costs a thousand marks, currently, and [00:08:57] it is also in short supply, it's not even available at the [00:09:01] clinic. We are constantly talking about this and constantly saying that the list of medicines [00:09:04] has not been revised, meaning that we are still being treated with outdated [00:09:08] medicines, meaning we do not have any innovative medicines compared to [00:09:11] the world. The world is breaking new ground in cancer treatment, new targeted [00:09:15] therapies offer the possibility of a longer and better quality [00:09:18] of life, new findings and medicines appear almost [00:09:22] daily, but the availability of such [00:09:25] therapies to patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina is still [00:09:29] limited, that is something that society must [00:09:32] work on, because this [00:09:35] treatment with targeted therapy is [00:09:38] much easier for patients, it [00:09:42] leads to a prolonged life, [00:09:46] so I understand [00:09:49] the difficulties with financing [00:09:52] expensive medicines, at the same time I think that there are [00:09:55] social resources that can be activated [00:09:59] to help these people. While new therapies [00:10:03] and drugs that give patients new hope are developed [00:10:06] daily worldwide, oncology patients in Bosnia and [00:10:09] Herzegovina face numerous problems when it [00:10:13] comes to access to treatment. Precisely [00:10:16] the availability of innovative medicines for oncology [00:10:19] patients must become a priority for [00:10:22] the authorities. Dragica Pejaković. [00:10:25] N1. [00:10:28] Stay with the news for more current events from the region [00:10:30] and the world. [00:10:33] First election projections from Germany indicate a victory for the Alternative for Germany [00:10:37] AfD in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where [00:10:41] they are closely followed by the SPD. In Berlin, according to the same forecasts, [00:10:44] the Left party [00:10:46] wins. [00:10:51] The director of the Srebrenica Potočari Memorial Center, Emir Suljagić, [00:10:55] commented on social media, claiming that the European Commission disgraced itself [00:10:58] by attempting to exonerate Vučić's regime from responsibility for [00:11:02] organizing the funeral of war criminal Ratko Mladić with the highest state and [00:11:06] church honors. If it is true what I hear from Brussels, Marta Kos [00:11:09] plans to meet with Chetnik Duke Andrija Mandić, otherwise [00:11:13] the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, states Suljagić. If this [00:11:17] information is confirmed, it is obvious that Commissioner Koim, by meeting with [00:11:20] Mandić, is helping to save him from ridicule, [00:11:24] Suljagić stated. Let us recall that the Montenegrin Parliament should, on September 24, [00:11:28] vote on the dismissal of Mandić due to the glorification of a war [00:11:32] criminal, in the telegram that Mandić sent to his [00:11:35] family. [00:11:37] Are [00:11:40] new winds blowing from Brussels or is that just an impression? European Commission [00:11:43] President Ursula von der Leyen, on her tour of the Western Balkans, [00:11:47] will not visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor [00:11:50] Serbia. Allegedly due to the ongoing election campaign. Some [00:11:53] European media, however, interpret this as a change in relations towards the authorities [00:11:57] in Serbia, primarily due to the state's role in organizing [00:12:01] the funeral of war criminal Ratko Mladić. At the same time, [00:12:04] for the same reason, the European People's Party is initiating [00:12:07] proceedings against its member, the Serbian Progressive [00:12:10] Party. [00:12:12] The traditionally cordial greeting [00:12:18] between the President of the European Commission and the Serbian President will be absent during [00:12:22] the pre-election campaign because [00:12:25] Ursula von der Leyen decided to skip Serbia [00:12:29] on her Balkan tour. Is this a political message? Aleksandar [00:12:33] Vučić says that the elections are just an elegant way for her [00:12:36] to cancel the visit, adding that von der Leyen does not want to [00:12:40] meet with a government in a technical mandate. It doesn't make much [00:12:44] sense. You don't have [00:12:48] legal institutions at that moment. [00:12:50] The government is legal, the acting president [00:12:54] of the republic is legal, but there are no legitimate institutions anymore because we are in [00:12:58] an election campaign, they will wait for the elections to end and then [00:13:01] they will work with whoever wins. Is that really [00:13:04] the case? German newspapers write that the European Union has lost [00:13:08] patience with the authorities in Serbia, and even the expulsion of the Serbian Progressive [00:13:11] Party from the European political family is being considered. [00:13:15] We have started a process against the Serbian Progressive [00:13:18] Party, the voices regarding this in the EPP are now very [00:13:22] strong. [00:13:25] Enough is enough, we have waited too long. The Serbian Progressive [00:13:28] Party has led Serbia for almost a decade, sitting on multiple [00:13:32] diplomatic chairs and, according to experts, makes most [00:13:35] of its decisions against Brussels' will. Why [00:13:39] is patience running out just now? A professor of political and [00:13:42] cultural sociology from London believes that the turning point [00:13:45] was practically the state funeral of the convicted war [00:13:49] criminal. [00:13:52] We shouldn't speculate too much about the motives of the European Union, it's [00:13:56] quite obvious. What is interesting is that Vučić and his [00:13:59] party seem unaware that they have crossed a civilizational line with this [00:14:03] funeral. This has alienated Serbia from both its neighbors in the region [00:14:07] and the European Union. He says the [00:14:09] authorities used the funeral to present it as [00:14:13] practically a pre-election [00:14:14] rally. [00:14:17] Meanwhile, Vučić openly says that the European [00:14:20] Union will not accept Serbia, and before the elections, [00:14:23] he sharpens his rhetoric towards Brussels officials. Here's [00:14:27] what he said after the Commissioner for Enlargement canceled [00:14:30] her visit to Serbia after Mladić's [00:14:33] funeral. Her comments bother me. That [00:14:36] bothers me. I won't let you humiliate our country. And don't [00:14:39] lie. And don't lie. Defiant messages [00:14:43] serve well in a pre-election campaign, says Gordi, but [00:14:46] are dangerous for the reputation of the Serbian Progressive Party in [00:14:49] Brussels. I think we really have an indication that [00:14:53] all these things are provocations. The show of confidence by the [00:14:56] regime is actually an indicator of their weakness and insecurity, and [00:15:00] if we go back to the European Union, they partially react to it, they no longer [00:15:04] see a stable partner in Vučić or his party. Not only [00:15:08] that, as he says, the fall of Viktor Orban in Hungary [00:15:11] has radically changed regional [00:15:14] geopolitics. [00:15:16] Now the European Union no longer has to worry about satisfying Orban and his [00:15:19] satellites. Orban is history, as is his entire network of far-right movements [00:15:23] across Europe, that is no longer a factor. Another thing I [00:15:27] think is happening is that the European Union is not convinced that it can provide them [00:15:30] with the Jadar project. All the things he had that kept them on his [00:15:34] side no longer work. A similar policy once again [00:15:37] led Serbia into international isolation and sanctions, the professor [00:15:41] reminds. However, he senses a big difference in the mood [00:15:45] of voters. He doesn't see that the current generation is ready to pay [00:15:49] that price like the one in the 90s, because, he says, today there is [00:15:53] a clear alternative. Miodrag [00:15:56] Sovilj, N1 [00:15:57] Belgrade. [00:16:02] Ukraine carried out its largest drone attack on the Russian capital since [00:16:06] the beginning of the war. At least two people were killed and six [00:16:09] were injured in the attack. The Mayor of Moscow said that several drones reached [00:16:13] the Moscow oil refinery and that one hit a residential building. [00:16:17] The head of the Moscow region stated that two people were killed and [00:16:20] 400 people were evacuated from a residential building, and a large number [00:16:24] of houses were also damaged. On the other hand, in a Russian drone attack on Kyiv, [00:16:27] a private house was hit, and in the attack, a woman and her [00:16:31] three-year-old [00:16:32] child died. [00:16:36] The third and final day of parliamentary elections in Russia has [00:16:39] concluded, which are largely considered a test of public support for President [00:16:43] Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine. The elections were held for the first [00:16:46] time in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and [00:16:50] Zaporizhzhia Oblasts, i.e., in the territories of Ukraine that Moscow [00:16:53] declared part of Russia in 2022. Voting in these [00:16:57] areas began in late August, with the explanation that it was done for [00:17:00] security reasons. The ruling United [00:17:04] Russia is expected to maintain dominance in the State Duma. Incidentally, [00:17:07] these are the first parliamentary elections since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February [00:17:11] 2022. And critics argue that the political [00:17:15] system in Russia leaves little room for [00:17:17] dissent. [00:17:21] First, I had obligations during the previous days, and [00:17:24] second, I was afraid of falsification, so I deliberately [00:17:27] came to vote on the last day. Any electronic form of voting [00:17:31] allows for falsification. There is such a possibility. When it comes to paper, [00:17:34] it's not easy to change it." [00:17:38] I always vote, I came to fulfill my duty to the homeland, so to [00:17:42] speak, I think things are not bad as they are, but we always [00:17:46] hope for better. [00:17:49] State elections were held in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western [00:17:53] Pomerania. The AfD is, according to initial projections, narrowly ahead of the SPD [00:17:57] in Mecklenburg, while in Berlin, the Left could win [00:18:00] the most votes. The CDU in Mecklenburg faces [00:18:03] the possibility of not having any seats in the state parliament for the first time. [00:18:08] Although the AfD achieved a strong result, its chances of entering [00:18:11] state government remain limited by the fact that other parties [00:18:15] reject a coalition with that party. This could enable [00:18:18] the SPD to continue governing despite the narrow [00:18:21] result. [00:18:24] I think it's important to think about the future of the [00:18:27] country, so which issues, yes, relate to the [00:18:30] future of all people in some way in the state and in the larger [00:18:33] country, that's what's actually important to me. I know that it is interpreted [00:18:37] parties, it's totally exciting what one thinks for a [00:18:40] positive future, that's the key factor, yes, but that's [00:18:44] in my, my opinion, the most important point, yes, the country [00:18:48] needs jobs, good [00:18:51] pay, the childcare-free [00:18:55] story, I actually don't agree with that, because I [00:18:58] always think it's from the DDR times, because everything was free, that [00:19:02] was never that good, so and I also have a lot [00:19:05] of experience with children not going there at all, not [00:19:09] deregistering, and that's what bothers me a bit about the matter, but [00:19:12] still I would still not the [00:19:15] other, excuse me, therefore, absolutely [00:19:18] not, yes, I want to make sure that our country [00:19:21] continues to be stable and properly governed, [00:19:24] what would be important for the country is that we [00:19:27] get better education, so the school system [00:19:31] just doesn't work anymore, and that it's reconsidered, [00:19:34] fairer wages. [00:19:38] Affordable rents, especially in Schwerin it's through [00:19:41] the wages, you can hardly afford anything anymore. [00:19:45] Yes. [00:19:47] Don't miss this story [00:19:49] at the end of the news. [00:19:53] What is hippotherapy and how is it used in working with people who have [00:19:56] various motor, developmental, and other difficulties? In Bosnia and Herzegovina, [00:20:00] the first center dedicated to hippotherapy and therapeutic [00:20:03] riding has opened. [00:20:08] According to certain available data from the non-governmental sector, about [00:20:11] 95% of Roma in Bosnia and Herzegovina do not have regular monthly [00:20:15] income. How to change that? The Roma association, Euro-Rom Tuzla, [00:20:18] and the Tuzla Canton Employment Service organized a [00:20:22] employment forum in this city, i.e., opened a dialogue between [00:20:25] young Roma men and women, institutions, educational [00:20:29] establishments, employers, and other relevant stakeholders precisely [00:20:32] on opportunities for education, employment, and inclusion of this [00:20:36] population in the market. [00:20:39] Adisa Ahmetović from Lukavac, after completing high school economics, [00:20:42] enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy in Tuzla, majoring in [00:20:46] German language and literature, she wants to get a job [00:20:50] through education and training, I think, mm, I am [00:20:53] not satisfied, because many Roma are unemployed, mm, the goal [00:20:57] is, the thing is that Roma simply [00:21:00] do not want to get involved, but they don't know how, then [00:21:04] the state does not support Roma as much as it should. How many Roma are officially [00:21:07] unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina? Institutions do not have data, [00:21:10] nor do Roma associations, which through various projects are trying [00:21:14] to increase the employment rate of this national minority. [00:21:18] Also, we have a certain number of Roma who [00:21:21] have no qualifications [00:21:24] at all, but are [00:21:27] competitive in the labor market as unskilled [00:21:31] workers, but we want in the coming period to [00:21:34] retrain and requalify these people [00:21:37] so that they are ready for the labor market. For example, what is interesting [00:21:41] for Bosnia and Herzegovina itself is that when [00:21:43] only secondary [00:21:46] education was considered, the general [00:21:50] total number of the majority population is around [00:21:53] 73%, while the number of Roma who [00:21:56] are in secondary schools is around 23%, which still [00:22:00] shows that we must invest in education, [00:22:04] and later in employment. Given that estimates for Tuzla Canton range [00:22:07] between 15 and 17,000 Roma, the number of working-age people is [00:22:11] between 9 and 11,000 people. On the official [00:22:15] unemployment register, only about 15 of them. Last year we [00:22:18] had about seven or eight Roma who... [00:22:22] mm went through this program and they [00:22:24] found an employer, that's what our [00:22:27] statistics show, we certainly participate in certain [00:22:31] funds that uh are given, [00:22:34] improve those programs, this way that meets [00:22:38] their needs. When it comes to support from the federal level, [00:22:41] i.e., the co-financing program for employment and [00:22:44] self-employment of Roma, there was no public call last [00:22:48] year, nor this year. In 2024, we had [00:22:52] a significantly reduced amount of funds for the co-financing [00:22:56] program for employment and self-employment of Roma, bearing in mind that these [00:22:59] are grant funds allocated by the Council [00:23:02] of Ministers, in cooperation with the Ministry for Human [00:23:06] Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is approximately a number [00:23:09] of 30 members [00:23:12] of the Roma population. The number of employed Roma in the public sector is [00:23:16] extremely unfavorable, ranging from 2 to 3%, and there are also [00:23:20] few craft shops owned by Roma, but this discourages [00:23:23] young Roma women. Upon graduation, I expect to find employment in [00:23:26] my profession, and I plan to be independent, [00:23:29] not dependent on anyone. According to UNHCR [00:23:33] and international organizations' estimates, between [00:23:36] 25,000 and 40,000 Roma live in the [00:23:39] Federation. The working-age population is between 15 and [00:23:43] 26,000 people. The most common source of income for members of this [00:23:47] national minority is self-employment, [00:23:50] in the sector of collecting secondary raw materials and recycling [00:23:54] waste. Nataša Tadić, N1, [00:23:56] Tuzla. [00:23:59] Besides becoming an increasingly integral part of our daily lives, [00:24:02] digitalization is slowly changing life in the countryside and is increasingly [00:24:06] entering rural areas, changing the way things are produced, [00:24:10] operated, and lived. From smart solutions in agriculture [00:24:14] to new business opportunities, technology facilitates [00:24:17] work and opens up new opportunities for people [00:24:21] living in the countryside. Knežica near Kozarska Dubica is becoming [00:24:25] one of the places where technology is changing the way of life and work in the countryside. [00:24:28] Here, the Smart Village concept is being developed, a smart village where modern [00:24:32] digital solutions are used in agriculture and production, not [00:24:35] on experimental fields and digital farms, crops are monitored, [00:24:39] new solutions are tested, and ways are sought to make farmers' work easier [00:24:43] and improve production. We launched a digital innovation hub [00:24:46] within which we develop smart solutions in agriculture, such as [00:24:50] sensors, microcontrollers, devices that serve to automate processes in [00:24:54] agriculture, irrigation, insect monitoring and so [00:24:57] on, and through this, that is, through this initiative, we mainly [00:25:00] include young people, primarily high school students and university students. [00:25:04] But today's technology is not only an aid in production, it is increasingly becoming [00:25:08] important for the promotion and business of rural households, which is also confirmed by [00:25:11] an example from Montenegro where digital tools help hosts to more easily [00:25:15] reach guests and present what they offer. My mother, who is [00:25:19] 75 years old... ten years ago, she [00:25:22] barely accepted to take a smartphone, today she [00:25:25] monitors bookings, monitors platforms, publishes posts [00:25:29] on Facebook, promotes her business, so today without [00:25:32] digitalization, we live in a digital age, it is impossible to imagine [00:25:36] any kind of business when it comes to agriculture [00:25:39] and agritourism. In Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, [00:25:42] the greatest interest in applying new technologies is currently in [00:25:45] viticulture, especially when it comes to the use of drones for control and [00:25:49] treatment. of agricultural areas, the cantonal Ministry [00:25:52] of Agriculture is currently implementing two projects aimed at digitizing [00:25:56] agriculture. Within the EU project Mova Clim, we developed [00:25:59] the Hidroago Cloud software, where we will provide farmers with information [00:26:03] every 15 minutes on the percentage [00:26:06] of salinity in the southern parts of our canton, thus [00:26:09] specifically helping them with the irrigation of their [00:26:13] agricultural areas. The second [00:26:16] digitalization project we are working on is in cooperation with the veteran [00:26:19] cooperative Matica, where we created the e-marketplace software where [00:26:23] our farmers will display their products, thus [00:26:27] shortening the supply chain. Although there is still [00:26:31] a certain amount of distrust towards new technologies, more and more people [00:26:34] recognize concrete help in them, from easier production monitoring to [00:26:38] better product placement. The most common challenges we actually [00:26:41] face in this story are still, well, let's say [00:26:44] the outdated attitudes of the farmers [00:26:47] themselves, where they may still be somewhat skeptical of [00:26:51] what we do and what we actually offer, but [00:26:55] I can proudly say that more and more of them use [00:26:59] modern technologies, and in the end they call and ask for help. [00:27:02] In the context of applying these technologies, from smart villages and digital [00:27:06] farms to drones, sensors and online sales, technology is increasingly [00:27:09] finding its place in the countryside. The goal, as stated, is not to [00:27:13] replace man, but to make his work easier, save [00:27:16] time and help him live better from his work. Dženana [00:27:19] Kaminćpuce, N1, [00:27:21] Mostar. [00:27:24] Hippotherapy therapeutic riding uses horses as part of the therapeutic [00:27:28] process and is applied in working with people who have various [00:27:32] developmental or other difficulties. This form [00:27:35] of therapy has been used worldwide for years, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina [00:27:39] the first center dedicated to hippotherapy and therapeutic [00:27:42] riding has just opened. [00:27:46] Sofia is 13 years old, she comes to ride due to problems with [00:27:50] her posture. Doctors recommended exercises at home, [00:27:53] but she found a way to work on solving the problem [00:27:57] through enjoyment. I ride more [00:28:01] than I do other exercises that doctors [00:28:04] give me. I really love horses, I really love working [00:28:08] with horses and I feel very calm when I work with [00:28:12] horses, I usually come a few times a week [00:28:14] and [00:28:17] I am more satisfied with my posture than I was before and I feel much [00:28:21] happier and more relaxed. Hippotherapy differs from [00:28:24] classical riding in that the movement of the horse is used as part of [00:28:27] the therapy. For people who have difficulty walking, that very [00:28:31] movement can be important for the way the body reacts [00:28:34] and maintains its position. The movement has a three-dimensional [00:28:38] gait, that is, the most similar gait [00:28:41] to a human's. When a rider sits on a horse, a simulation [00:28:44] of walking occurs, meaning the movement is transmitted [00:28:48] from the pelvis, that is, the horse's pelvis, to the rider's [00:28:51] pelvis, then the rest of the body. Such a method [00:28:55] of work can also be included in rehabilitation for various [00:28:58] problems, from severe neurological damage to postural ones. [00:29:03] It does not replace dry exercises or other methods, explains [00:29:07] Doctor Mirsad Muftić, but rather combines with them. One of the indications [00:29:11] that can actually be recommended for [00:29:13] children with poor posture, postural deformities, scoliosis, [00:29:17] along with dry exercises, swimming, [00:29:20] hippotherapy would be something that complements, so it is actually [00:29:24] part of the rehabilitation process in some countries, even patients are [00:29:28] sent through the health system on a card, for example, in Hungary, [00:29:33] Austria, but before joining the program, the needs and goals of [00:29:38] experts of various profiles are involved in the entire [00:29:41] process: we have a team, a physiatrist, [00:29:44] a physiotherapist, a psychologist, [00:29:48] an educational rehabilitator and a speech therapist [00:29:51] as well, so it is an extremely multidisciplinary approach. [00:29:55] It is most popular for people with [00:29:58] autism, it helps them immensely, especially in those social [00:30:02] for... social environments. The choice of therapy depends on the needs and [00:30:06] health condition of the user, although progress can be seen quickly [00:30:09] in some children, it is emphasized from the start that it is a long-term [00:30:13] process and that safety must be taken into account above all. [00:30:17] Riding itself, if we are only talking about sports riding, is also [00:30:21] a long-term process. The satisfaction is when [00:30:24] we see that every time what we did in the previous lesson [00:30:27] somehow stayed with the children, that they [00:30:31] try to... to do it in the best [00:30:34] possible way. Children under four years old should [00:30:37] not participate, only because their development [00:30:41] is not complete, neuromotor skills are not [00:30:44] sufficiently developed, and neither is body posture, so [00:30:46] after four years of age, [00:30:50] the number is unlimited, not only children, [00:30:54] older people can also come, and time with the horse [00:30:57] begins with socializing, playing, feeding.
