[00:04:46] public about what kind of remediation should be done. This
[00:04:50] must be removed as soon as possible because otherwise, the health and
[00:04:53] environment will be at risk. And one more thing, these analyses
[00:04:56] for example, did not take into account the fact that the
[00:05:00] Gospić water supply system is planned to draw water
[00:05:04] from the new Divo Selo spring, and analyses were not

[00:06:02] anyone will play with the lives of the people of Gospić
[00:06:05] and Lika, because this is not just a problem for Gospić, it's a problem for all
[00:06:09] surrounding places, for our Senj and for Otočac. We cannot
[00:06:13] be happy because it goes downstream and someone else will suffer. So we are
[00:06:17] equally worried for all the inhabitants of Lika and for our
[00:06:20] future. Also, not far from us is the Rakitovac
[00:06:23] landfill, for which we also have information that this waste was buried,
[00:06:27] dumped, and who knows where else. I mean, you can look around
[00:06:31] yourselves, these beautiful pines didn't dry up for no reason,
[00:06:35] but you can see what the impact is. And I refuse to believe that people
[00:06:38] don't pay attention, don't trust their common sense that it really is...

[00:08:21] drink the water, because maybe it's not currently in the water flow, but as
[00:08:24] Vjeko would say, goodbye common sense when it reaches the
[00:08:28] tap, because then we truly have nothing more to look for. But it's a psychological
[00:08:31] barrier for me, and I've been buying water since 21,
[00:08:34] and I won't stop buying it. I'm very disappointed
[00:08:38] that Lika, which was synonymous with beautiful, healthy, cold..."

[00:09:28] all public health authorities in the Republic of Croatia, from the Ministry
[00:09:32] of Health to the institutes for public health, Andrija Štampar and
[00:09:35] all of them, should already announce tomorrow. They must provide
[00:09:39] guidelines to the citizens of Gospić and Lika
[00:09:42] on how to act based on these conclusions from the findings and opinions,
[00:09:46] where we, we no longer see a potential
[00:09:49] threat, we already see pollution that has
[00:09:52] occurred, pollution that is threatening. It is a shame
[00:09:56] that a year and a half after the affair was discovered, there has been no
[00:09:59] synergy of all state bodies to
[00:10:03] protect their citizens. That is their duty, for which they receive
[00:10:06] a salary. This obligation has been missing until today, and that is why
[00:10:09] we demand accountability from those who are responsible for it, who failed to
[00:10:13] act in a timely manner. But we hope that from tomorrow we will move in a different
[00:10:17] direction: urgent remediation, urgent public health instructions
[00:10:21] to the citizens of Gospić and Lika on how to behave, not just
[00:10:24] Lika. And the Croatian islands of Rab and Pag, given
[00:10:28] that they are supplied with water from Lika's waterworks, from Lika's
[00:10:32] groundwater, which flows downstream, and let's
[00:10:35] finally, people, act responsibly towards the area in which
[00:10:39] we live. What we have worked hard to acquire, let's not

[00:12:31] veterans' pensions. This government move, announced by Andrej Plenković yesterday
[00:12:34] in Knin for the autumn. Minister Tomo Medved today revealed more details
[00:12:38] about the planned changes that should cover around 200,000
[00:12:42] veterans. Through the law on active military personnel, the reduction from
[00:12:45] 2002 will be abolished, and the law on veterans
[00:12:49] will introduce a new calculation and valuation of the combat
[00:12:52] sector.
[00:12:55] We still need to abolish the third reduction, the one from
[00:12:59] 2002. year, and that is why through
[00:13:03] amendments to the Law on Active Military Personnel and Authorized
[00:13:06] Official Persons, we will abolish
[00:13:09] the reduction of 8 to 20% for those
[00:13:13] Croatian veterans, soldiers, police officers who were
[00:13:17] retired on that basis.
[00:13:20] We will also amend the Law on Croatian Veterans.
[00:13:23] Let's remind which law we're talking about. So, it is
[00:13:27] about a law that I initiated the drafting of
[00:13:30] in partnership with associations on the first day I took over the ministry
[00:13:34] in 2016. In
[00:13:38] that time, we corrected many injustices, filled

[00:13:48] another amendment to that law follows. This
[00:13:51] amendment will relate to the method of calculating

[00:16:01] Storm continue across Croatia today
