[00:00:00] "heavily armed swat [00:00:01] of teams, armored vehicles surrounding Margery Stoneman, Douglas High [00:00:05] School, deadly school shooting in South Florida, the [00:00:09] shooter walked down the hallway, I heard [00:00:12] of young man [00:00:13] of in crying for his mother, after 17 people were killed in a shooting [00:00:17] at his high school in Parkland, Florida, people are going to keep saying it's [00:00:21] of never going to happen to me, but when you don't take action, things like this [00:00:25] eventually will happen to you. David Hog [00:00:28] of dedicated his life to political..." activism. [00:00:32] We will save lives. In [00:00:35] of February of last year. How are we [00:00:36] of doing, fellow Democrats? He became co-chair [00:00:42] in of the DNC and led an effort to unseat democrats in primary elections who he [00:00:46] said were asleep at the wheel. We are here to [00:00:50] find the most effective young people in our country, truly generational leaders [00:00:54] and replace people that are failing to meet the moment right [00:00:56] of now. It's pretty unusual for top member of Democratic leadership. [00:01:00] to openly plot to kick incumbants out of office, and yet that's what my guest [00:01:04] today is doing. the move was not well received by party [00:01:08] leaders and party elders. to go out and raise [00:01:12] money [00:01:12] of to defeat members [00:01:13] of the same party. i think that's a jack ass rate [00:01:16] of the highest level. after few months, hog resigned from the [00:01:20] DNC, but he's continued fighting for generational [00:01:24] of change in found me in my native habitat. i want [00:01:26] to introduce David who has been working to engage younger voters. [00:01:30] I'm here today because I want to feel hope in politics again. [00:01:33] Hog is using his pack leaders we deserve to support young [00:01:37] candidates to refuse to accept dark special interest [00:01:41] money. Maybe the reason young people are not huge fans of [00:01:45] democrats or politics in general is because politics doesn't give [00:01:49] a shit about them. You guys ready to change that? [00:01:52] Yes. Why was [00:01:57] of there a need for what you're doing within the Democratic parties? [00:02:00] infrastructure, have you seen [00:02:01] the Democrats? I mean, if you look at Congress, I think it kind of speaks for [00:02:05] itself. We have a government that is dominated and focused on [00:02:09] people that are legislating that are not going to live to see the effects of many [00:02:12] of the policies that they're passing. The reality is, we cannot continue to sell [00:02:16] democracy to a [00:02:17] of generation [00:02:18] of that the system that we call democracy is not working for, and I [00:02:22] think New [00:02:22] of York City is actually one [00:02:23] of the first places we did that, we were uh Zoran's largest funder in his primary, we spent [00:02:27] $300,00 supporting him. Today he's. [00:02:32] of [00:02:38] and i approve this message because this campaign is about you, not me. can talk about [00:02:42] you? like danny, valdez is [00:02:45] democratic socialist. the sort of older generation [00:02:49] that is afraid [00:02:51] of the word socialist, that's not sticking with young [00:02:55] people, right? it's true, and we see after poll after poll that democratic socialism is [00:02:59] becoming more popular. kind of in every age group, but especially with young voters, and [00:03:03] I think it's precisely because you like know, me, [00:03:05] like so many people have worked low-wage jobs, felt like they had no career [00:03:09] path, felt really [00:03:10] a locked out of [00:03:11] in home ownership and what we've traditionally thought of as the American dream, [00:03:14] and we know that the system is the problem. Democratic Socialist [00:03:18] Zoran Mamdani will be elected the next mayor of [00:03:22] New York, New York. It's impossible not to feel a sense of hope for [00:03:26] better tomorrow. Um, Danny's historic win. and [00:03:30] success with an openly democratic [00:03:33] of socialist platform shocked many within the Democratic [00:03:37] party. I no longer have to prove that this kind [00:03:41] of politics [00:03:42] of works. I can just point the on. one communist on the [00:03:46] faculty of one university as one communist too [00:03:49] many. communism and [00:03:52] of socialism have long been bad words in American politics [00:03:56] dating back to the McCarty hearings and the cold... [00:04:00] a of or america stood for capitalism, they use the word social [00:04:04] democrat buse it sounds so nice, but it's really [00:04:08] communism, you're talking about, but that is changing, you [00:04:12] understand, I think rightly, this is social democracy, this is [00:04:15] not golag socialism, this is not the Soviet Union [00:04:19] socialism, socialism on the other hand, up like rocket, look at [00:04:23] this, two and three democrats have favorable view of [00:04:26] socialism, capitalism is even less popular. among young [00:04:30] people, if politicians want to know how to get elected, [00:04:34] it is not complicated, do your [00:04:37] me job and represent the people, not the special interests buying [00:04:41] out our elections. what i think a lot about is the [00:04:45] fact that if [00:04:46] of we do not start making our political system work for [00:04:50] people that feel [00:04:51] of like they are living [00:04:52] in a broken promise, where they've done as a [00:04:57] of generation everything we've been told average right? "we've gone to college at some [00:05:01] of the highest rates of [00:05:02] of anybody of any generation in American history, contrary to popular belief, we've [00:05:05] actually voted at the highest rates of any generational cohort at our [00:05:09] age in American history, consistently." " Often [00:05:13] when belief [00:05:14] in the system collapses, civil unrest and violence [00:05:18] follow. [00:05:19] The CEO of United Health Care [00:05:22] was murdered this morning. Some young Americans [00:05:26] celebrated the murder of healthcare CEO Brian [00:05:29] Thompson. Unfortunately, I don't think that we really lost [00:05:33] like that great of member of our society. How do you [00:05:35] think Brian Tomson's family feels [00:05:39] when he hears, when they hear that? Well, obviously. I'm not going to try to say something [00:05:43] insensitive about his children, but I do want to kind of remind the [00:05:47] people that he was also denying life saving care to hundreds if [00:05:51] not thousands of families. How do you think their families feel when their loved [00:05:55] ones are lost? How do you feel about that and and clearly as [00:05:59] somebody who has survived gun violence in this [00:06:03] country? [00:06:04] it it I'll tell you it is the thing that keeps me up at night more than anything. And [00:06:08] it's not just like that specific instance. There is a deep, deep... [00:06:12] deep frustration with how our political system is not [00:06:16] working for the people who need it most. if we do not start to make it work, people [00:06:20] are going to find somebody who promises to do that, even if it's without [00:06:24] democracy. we need to fight against a system [00:06:27] design to keep us separated, [00:06:31] divided, marginalized and oppressed. there is [00:06:35] clearly an appetite for change, but democrats are [00:06:38] divided on just how radical that change should be. [00:06:42] "we say no more to the democratic collaborators [00:06:45] too, [00:06:51] i thought the big takeaway in [00:06:54] 2024 was democrats need to go everywhere, wasn't that the [00:06:57] takeaway? i'm shocked that we're seeing [00:07:01] moderate center left democrats saying they're not even going to speak to [00:07:05] Hassan Piker when we know that the [00:07:08] best way to get message out is to go to places where they..." not [00:07:12] otherwise hear [00:07:13] it, [00:07:21] oh thank you, thank you, thank you, we got to get [00:07:24] picture, i appreciate you [00:07:27] onmy, oh he's so [00:07:31] cute, we also have with us mr [00:07:34] hasan, piker, what's going [00:07:38] on st louis, hasan piker has been traveling [00:07:42] the country, leveraging his online fame to back progressive [00:07:46] candidates and broadcasting their rallies to his 3 million [00:07:50] twitch followers. we all know the republicans are corrupt, we [00:07:54] all know that they're monsters, they're racist, they traffic in [00:07:57] hatred, but we are here to [00:08:00] say we are no longer going to vote for do nothing, [00:08:04] democrats either, we're voting for democrats with a [00:08:07] purpose. glory, glory, [00:08:11] glory, glory. 'It feels like you're running. [00:08:14] It's what people keep saying, but I'm not. Are you [00:08:17] concerned that pushing the candidates that you're pushing, you might [00:08:21] end up hurting the democrats nationally a general election? I've heard this [00:08:25] concern a lot. They said my allegiance was Zaram was [00:08:29] actually going to hurt his chances. Andrew Como tried to exploit that. He [00:08:33] tried to to really hammer on this point that I was a dangerous [00:08:36] radical and and and so was zoron by associating with [00:08:40] me. I think for far too long because conventional wisdom in Washington [00:08:43] was, don't respond to the needs the people, always [00:08:47] focus test your messaging and try to find a moderate [00:08:51] centrist vision, and we're finding out that the [00:08:55] zoron style candidacy, the bernicrats are are [00:08:59] rising up in popularity and and fighting against the [00:09:02] establishment and and seeing tremendous [00:09:05] success, tremendous [00:09:08] success indeed, [00:09:12] Story the summer is the far left success in New [00:09:16] York, in Colorado, California, [00:09:20] Pensilvania and New Jersey, and [00:09:24] may God bless the United States of [00:09:26] America, [00:09:32] Mr. Carval, nice to meet you, I'm Donio [00:09:36] Sullivan, one might think all the energy and [00:09:40] excitement about new generation of candidates. might be cause for [00:09:43] celebration within the Democratic Party. This is what I [00:09:47] call a sign of an advanced [00:09:50] civilization, but not for party veteran James [00:09:54] Carvel. How are you feeling about the midterms? I feel [00:09:58] very good. The only thing that can derail us, we [00:10:02] could nominate some the wrong candidates in the wrong place and [00:10:06] not be as successful as our hope. The wrong candidates, [00:10:10] what you mean by that? All right, let's... take [00:10:14] in Michigan, now Said is highly competent, [00:10:17] but he's way left, I see [00:10:21] challenges from the quote, [00:10:24] aggressive left, unquote, and [00:10:28] these people are too hot headed to know that they're not [00:10:32] popular, people don't like them, and uh, but if [00:10:36] you get a skewed turnout a [00:10:38] primary, you might end up losing race [00:10:42] that you should have never lost in the first place. when you say progressive left, [00:10:46] you sort there's a tone of contempt there, yeah, yes, so you were [00:10:50] very wise, hope the camera was able to pick up the [00:10:53] content. this high definition, yeah, yes, they don't [00:10:57] win elections, they never run against [00:11:00] republicans, they just run against other [00:11:02] democrats, [00:11:04] and their only message [00:11:08] is we're going to blow everything [00:11:10] up, at this point you hadn't [00:11:14] vetted grand platiner, you hadn't done a full scrub of who he is, [00:11:17] how did you go about vetting him? thank you all very much, many the [00:11:21] insurgent left candidates are unconventional, "if what [00:11:25] the voters wanted were people who were grown in bats and [00:11:29] had never done or said anything that they might regret their [00:11:33] entire lives. we'd have very different country. flatner, who said he was [00:11:37] unaware the tattoos nazi association, explained that it was the [00:11:40] result of drunken night out 18 years ago, and [00:11:44] some have generated lot of controversy. dora [00:11:48] Lisa Avila Chavalier is now facing questions about deleted [00:11:52] tweets saying that she's sympathetic to communism. to soviet [00:11:55] figures, criticizing interracial relationships, saying black and arab men are [00:11:59] both fetishizing ugly colonizer women, did not delete [00:12:03] those uh tweets um because i was running for office, deleted my [00:12:07] entire twitter account many years ago, would one [00:12:10] accusation culminating in gram platiner ending his bid for [00:12:14] seniness, did Grand Platner rape you [00:12:18] by definition, yes, any accusation of [00:12:22] non-consensual behavior is category. [00:12:25] false back in Washington DC, it's not only the [00:12:29] left-wing candidates that are making some democrats nervous, it's [00:12:33] also their support from Hassan Piker. Jonathan [00:12:37] Cohen runs the Democratic centrist group third [00:12:40] way. Hasan Piquer is unknown [00:12:44] to most Americans who determine elections. Swing [00:12:47] independent voters have never heard of Hasan Piker. The ones you [00:12:51] have wouldn't like him. He's known and popular. among [00:12:55] a very small subset of young people who are [00:12:58] super online and very radicalized, fine, [00:13:02] have at it, that's how he makes a living. you mentioned, piker [00:13:06] isn't that famous, but you wrote a wall [00:13:10] street journal oped about him, why did you think was [00:13:13] important to do that? we called him out because we wanted to [00:13:17] warn mainstream democrats, not to associate [00:13:20] with him, not to elevate him, not to put him on their platforms or... [00:13:25] with him, because in fact that will drive away [00:13:29] the swing independent and moderate voters that they need to [00:13:31] win. on capital hill, democratic [00:13:34] representative [00:13:36] josh Gottheimer went so far as to co-author a resolution, condemning [00:13:40] piker for what he described as anti-semitic hate [00:13:44] speech. this is hate speech intended to inside [00:13:47] violence. [00:13:49] okay, are you surprised at [00:13:53] just how big issue? israel has become, I'm kind of [00:13:56] surprised how this issue has become almost a litmus test in [00:14:00] primaries across the country, how do you think that's happened? sometimes [00:14:04] these issues just uh, they they they get a mind their own. [00:14:08] I don't even think when I talk to voters about it and say, well, you're screaming and yelling at me, [00:14:12] what are you, what, what really are you upset about, and it's [00:14:16] based on part, I think a lot of disinformation out there, I [00:14:19] often don't really get answer, except, [00:14:21] I don't, I saw something on TikTok, Hassan Piker, you... [00:14:25] introduce resolution condemning him along with [00:14:28] Kandason's correct for I think what you characterizees [00:14:32] anti-semetic hate speech. Can you talk us true why was [00:14:35] it important to single out Hassan [00:14:39] Piker [00:14:40] and and Kandasons in particular? Well when you start ignoring hatred and [00:14:44] this is again look at history against any community in this you the hatred [00:14:48] bubbles up and if you don't put it out if you don't extinguish the [00:14:51] fire the flames just grow and Son Piker is [00:14:55] not just some random guy walking down the street screaming something [00:14:59] hate filled. He has millions of followers on his streaming [00:15:03] platform. By [00:15:04] the way, so does Candis Owens, right? Left and right, [00:15:07] but still both filled with anger and and and spewing [00:15:11] just not only disinformation, just lies and [00:15:15] deceat, but ginning people up and targeting communities, [00:15:19] including Jewish people. Hassan Piker the many [00:15:22] controversial statements he has made, he... has disavowed [00:15:26] some, he has said some have been taken out of context, but I mean [00:15:30] ultimately he stands by statements in terms of broad support for [00:15:33] Hezballah, broad support for Hamas, but there's also via [00:15:37] clips of him a speech, think in Oxford in United [00:15:41] Kingdom, talking about antisemitism and the plague that [00:15:44] that is. anti-semitism is [00:15:46] a canary in the coal mine of fascism. it's one the oldest [00:15:49] bigotries that has caused those the Jewish faith a tremendous amount of [00:15:53] pain. from paggrams to the holocaust, jews have always [00:15:57] been singled out by those in power as a scape goat for [00:16:00] instability and economic volatility. hasan [00:16:03] Piker's argument is that he is anti-zionist. [00:16:08] and not anti-semitic and that they are two very different [00:16:11] things. if that's what he believes then he should probably practice [00:16:15] that because he has done a very good job [00:16:19] of of smooshing the two together. we have [00:16:23] Bernie Sanders and and Aoc in the building. despite the [00:16:26] controversies, there are prominent democrats who recognize Piker's [00:16:30] influence and want his followers in the party. I'm going to do [00:16:34] rapid fire now. for many on the left is... [00:16:37] ending a litm test, calling Israel's [00:16:42] aid has yeah, become to out genocide, Israel, yes, sanctioning Israel, yes, a free [00:16:46] palestine, of course, but just how fine is the line [00:16:50] between criticism of Israel, tolerated [00:16:54] form of anti-semitism is [00:16:56] anti-izanism. zyanism, as we just heard, [00:17:00] is simply the the right the jews to self-determination in their [00:17:03] historic homeland, an anti-semitic hate. [00:17:07] what you're saying here about voting for Hamas? I'm not literally capable of voting [00:17:11] for Hamas or Israel, but isn't that the point of though, right? like so why [00:17:15] says? [00:17:21] let's see how many phone calls we got today uh last number [00:17:25] check was 60,000 [00:17:28] dials, keep pumping those phones, keep making those [00:17:32] calls, keep smiling and dialing. Hassan Piker streams live for up to [00:17:36] 10 hours a day from his. home in Los Angeles, there's other [00:17:39] opportunities to do phone banking uh leading into election day [00:17:43] as well. Anyway, love you all, and I will [00:17:47] see you tomorrow, same time, [00:17:51] same place. For his critics, the 35-year-old has become a [00:17:55] symbol the far left insurgency in the Democratic [00:17:58] Party. All right, we're here, one that they say will lose [00:18:01] general elections and hurt democrats chances of taking over [00:18:05] the Senate in the midterms. "our community will be there every step [00:18:09] the way. James Carville says, this is all [00:18:13] going to implode at the general [00:18:15] election. Yeah, as [00:18:19] opposed to previous neoliberal democratic candidacies that have been [00:18:22] spectacular successes so far. Hillary Rodam [00:18:26] Clinton in 2016 and Camela Harris in [00:18:29] 2024. I don't think I'm like exceptionally good [00:18:33] at uh prostlatizing the gospel of socialism [00:18:36] necessarily. i think [00:18:38] there are a lot of people who are just like, this is not working, cost of living crisis is [00:18:42] completely out of control, democrats haven't done anything about it, republicans haven't done [00:18:45] anything about it, there has to be different [00:18:48] alternative, [00:18:53] piker became issue himself in [00:18:55] the democratic party when he first campaigned with abdul el [00:18:59] sayed who was running in the michigan democratic primary for us [00:19:02] senate, that's a [00:19:06] state that trump and Abdullah [00:19:09] is my guy, there was a lot of controversy surrounding my [00:19:13] affiliation with him, and there was a month of media [00:19:17] coverage, and in the aftermath of that polls came out and [00:19:21] it showed that Abdul had actually risen to the top, he was in third place before that [00:19:25] happened, and he was in first place after it happened, what Josh and I are trying to [00:19:29] do in putting this resolution forward is to say [00:19:33] enough, the house resolution sponsored by congressman Gottheimer and [00:19:36] Lawler. detail some of Piker's controversial [00:19:40] statements with people like Owens and Piker and they're not welcome in our [00:19:43] districts and and none of this language and is acceptable either [00:19:47] pairing itself up while he has apologized for some of his comments and [00:19:51] has said others were taken out a context he has continued to [00:19:55] praise hamas you seen [00:19:59] this yes I have house [00:20:02] resolution that's never [00:20:05] gonna get passed too. Hassan Piker, a prominent online streamer, has [00:20:09] often used anti-semitic rhetoric, including expressing [00:20:13] support for Hamas, designated foreign terrorist [00:20:17] organization. Why do you express support from [00:20:20] Hamas? Well, I wouldn't say I express support for [00:20:24] uh all of Hamas's actions or anything. I do say that the Palestinian [00:20:28] resistance largely does have an internationally [00:20:32] recognized right to resist. Do they violate that sometimes with war crimes? [00:20:36] Absolutely, and certainly has as well, but at the end the [00:20:39] day Palestinians do have a right to resist militarily. When you say [00:20:43] Hamas is a thousand times better, do you actually mean that or is [00:20:47] that [00:20:47] a rhetorical move or like a solidarity? signal like [00:20:50] what what? [00:20:51] mean it's all the above. do mean it. uh, i think it's a rhetorical move, [00:20:55] because it frustrates lot of people. i've also said, i'm a harm reduction voter. i'm a lesser [00:20:59] evil voter, and therefore i would vote for Hamas over Israel every single time. if you say [00:21:03] you're voting for Hamas, you're voting [00:21:06] for limited rights for women, you're voting [00:21:10] for homophobia, [00:21:13] but but like this is right, like when you say you're voting for Hamas. [00:21:17] it's not an endorsement their domestic policies, but i don't think... anyone [00:21:20] actually cares about their domestic b disease, i certainly don't every [00:21:24] palestinian at the end the day, regardless their disagreements with [00:21:27] hamas will always say that Israel is still the Israeli [00:21:31] occupation is the greatest problem that they're facing, the most existential [00:21:35] problem that they're facing. can you understand when when [00:21:37] when just the regular [00:21:41] American? of course, that's the reason when they see all this, well that's the purpose [00:21:45] of that document, the purpose of that document is not to be like, this guy has spent the [00:21:49] last. year is combatting far-right anti-semitism and far right [00:21:53] radicalization and still continues to do so to this day, as someone who's an [00:21:57] anti-fascist, i'm going to oppose zionism, which is fascist [00:22:00] ideology. these guys can't defend that, so they have to attack [00:22:04] its prominent critics. i will always always [00:22:08] call out anti-semitism. it's gross, it's immoral, it is hate [00:22:12] crime. there is no space for [00:22:15] anti-semitism. hang around the progressive left [00:22:19] for any amount. of time and you likely hear about [00:22:22] apac. I'm speaking about Apac, apac funding. what makes apac [00:22:26] unique is that the funded by billionaires? apac, the [00:22:30] American Israel [00:22:31] public affairs committee, is an American lobbing group that advocates for [00:22:35] pro Israel policies in Washington DC. In the [00:22:39] United States, our support for Israel is bipartisan, and that [00:22:43] is how it should stay. For decades, politicians on both [00:22:47] sides the isle have engaged with AP and [00:22:50] spoken its annual conference in Washington, the largest [00:22:53] apec gathering in history, and I feel like I am [00:22:57] among family. In Michigan, the [00:23:01] group has spent upwards of 30 million against Senate candidate [00:23:05] Abdul El Saied who has been critical the Israeli government [00:23:09] and actions Gaza, [00:23:09] their in but in parts the Democratic [00:23:13] Party, Apac is now deeply [00:23:16] unpopular. Now is the time of monsters. [00:23:20] These monsters take many forms in Apac, for whom the only thing [00:23:24] more frightening than democracy being allowed to run its course is an end to [00:23:27] genocide Netanyahu's wars. Like other [00:23:31] groups, they fund campaign supporting and opposing [00:23:34] candidates. critics of politicians like Mam Dani say that the [00:23:38] singling out of apac is anti-semitic. Something has [00:23:42] happened when elected officials like our mayor in this [00:23:46] city, gas lights Jews calling Apec and the people who... [00:23:50] support it monsters Corey Bush lost her seat in [00:23:53] Congress in 2024, she blames [00:23:57] Apac. It was a coordinated effort because [00:24:00] I was speaking about keeping our money here in this country and [00:24:04] not bombing babies in another country. Another anti-Israel member of [00:24:08] congress, Corey Bush, more than $7 million was spent to [00:24:12] oppose Bush in 2024, a historically high [00:24:16] amount for a congressional primary race. So-called squad. [00:24:20] faced a fierce primary challenge from democratic opponent, Wesley [00:24:24] Bell, that's after his campaign saw influx of cash from the Israel [00:24:27] aligned [00:24:28] toper pack a pack, the ads never said Israel, palestine, [00:24:32] gaza, the ads said Cory is not a good [00:24:36] democrat. Bush was good at getting headlines, but bad at actually [00:24:40] accomplishing anything. More than 70% the spending against her [00:24:44] was by a superpack affiliated with [00:24:46] APAC. Now Bush is running to... [00:24:54] the second most expensive congressional primary, [00:24:58] that's what it took for Israel to subvert the [00:25:01] democratic process, well an activist like piker puts the issue of [00:25:05] Israel front and center in his campaigning, David Hogg's [00:25:08] message is squarely focused on getting dark special [00:25:12] interest money out of politics, there is no way of [00:25:16] taking corporate money and just not being in bad with those special interests. [00:25:20] right and rejecting the influence of ap he [00:25:23] too brings up apac. [00:25:27] let tell you story. when i first started working in DC, when i went from [00:25:31] working on the outside of politics in the advocacy world to then working on the [00:25:35] inside. one the first things that i was told when i got here was do not talk about [00:25:39] apech, do not mention them, do [00:25:43] not think about them, don't dare go against them. and the thing that was [00:25:47] striking to me about that was how [00:26:02] stand, this is the NRA, nobody's ever going to take them on, but we did, and [00:26:06] we won, and we made that organization go from standing for the National Rifle [00:26:09] association to standing for not relevant anymore, yeah, I think [00:26:13] a lot of people watching this to hear [00:26:17] you, a parkland [00:26:19] survivor, talk about [00:26:23] apac uh, in the same rat [00:26:26] as NRA, [00:26:28] will be [00:26:31] surprising. "it shouldn't be, both [00:26:34] are getting kids [00:26:36] killed, and I don't [00:26:40] draw line between whether it's kids in Parkland, kids [00:26:44] any street in America, any community, or if it's kids in [00:26:47] Palestine, it's not okay. when you first got here to [00:26:51] DC and you were told whatever you do, don't talk about [00:26:55] Apac, don't come after apac, big [00:26:59] farmer puts a lot of money into this town, [00:27:02] goil, whatever, why do you think it was [00:27:06] apac? you were told to stay quiet about more so than anything else? [00:27:10] there are few groups that had the winning streak that apack had, that's the reality, what [00:27:14] people fear more than anything are people that they perceive to be strong [00:27:17] winners that can be decisive in elections. [00:27:21] apac did not make anyone available for an interview for this [00:27:24] program, a statement, apac called hog's comments [00:27:27] despicable and disgusting, ap said it [00:27:31] is to support quote principal democrats who share our [00:27:35] commitment to a partnership that is integral to America's national [00:27:39] security. It also pointed out that many democrats it supports are [00:27:43] winning their primaries. Boss, what [00:27:47] does all of this mean for the mid-terms? [00:27:50] Moderate democrats are the only [00:27:53] ones. Who have delivered the House and the White [00:27:57] House since Trump came on the scene in 2015. But [00:28:01] in the Trump era. those centrest [00:28:03] democrats have lost the white house twice and only [00:28:07] one at once. true, that's true. [00:28:11] today is the most popular Israel will be going [00:28:14] forward. tomorrow Israel will be less popular than [00:28:17] it is today. and yesterday Israel was more popular than it [00:28:21] was today. it's [00:28:23] done. [00:28:35] "if we really are going to take a rising authoritarian right, that is [00:28:39] going to be about having as many people as part of that movement as [00:28:42] possible, even if that makes you uncomfortable. John [00:28:46] Luves, John Fabro, and Tommy Vtor, all worked for [00:28:49] President Barack Obama, and now host the hugely popular [00:28:53] Pod Save America podcast. They say democrats need to [00:28:57] talk everyone, including each other. John, you [00:29:01] interviewed Hasan Pike." right, you heard about [00:29:03] that, you got a lot of shit [00:29:06] even for talking to him, clearly you don't buy into the [00:29:10] idea that somebody like aassan piker should not be given a [00:29:14] platform, how dare you platform someone with huge platform, right? [00:29:17] yeah, whether you like this or not, um, hassan has lot of [00:29:21] people who listen to him, i don't want to start going down the path [00:29:25] uh, even as we headed to 2028 where i say, all right, if you if you're not with [00:29:29] me on this issue, i don't want to listen to you, we had interviewed him, [00:29:32] for um and it wasn't a big deal before. I think [00:29:36] it's sort of what we started this to do, which [00:29:40] was to have conversations with people who are involved in politics and let the [00:29:44] audience decide um what to make of that. I think the Democratic Party's got to move away [00:29:48] from this dumb debate about platforming. Let reasonable adults kind of sort [00:29:52] out what they think about it. Mostly, I think it did enormous harm to the [00:29:55] Democratic Party, to Democratic candidates that we refuse to go [00:29:59] on other people's shows a purity test. roof is [00:30:03] collapsing on the Democratic Party establishment tonight, with insurgent [00:30:07] campaigns housing long-term incumbent Democrats, this [00:30:10] primary face-off is what some are calling the democrat civil [00:30:14] war. the growing divide over Israel is reshaping politics [00:30:18] on the left, democratic socialists in New York were uh [00:30:22] crazy, like outright really crazy. [00:30:25] last June, it was not the end, it was [00:30:29] the beginning. sides claim their [00:30:33] candidates will be more electible in November. I want to talk about this [00:30:37] idea of electibility. Let me be clear. The [00:30:41] last people who have any right to lecture us about [00:30:44] electibility are the establishment who lost the Donald [00:30:48] Trump. Is the Democrat [00:30:51] party having its its tea party movement to move to to the [00:30:55] left? Even beyond Trump and before Trump, inequality in this country [00:30:59] was.
