[00:00:00] cleanliness will do [00:00:03] that, that waste removal related to hospitals, kindergartens that [00:00:06] Zagreb Electric Tram will do what it can and what is necessary and what is [00:00:10] urgent, that is, transport for people with [00:00:13] disabilities, school transport, however much there [00:00:16] is, it will be done, but no one can say that going out, [00:00:20] especially in today's time in a situation when [00:00:23] citizens tried to turn around according to the mayor's [00:00:26] statements interpreted in a way that shows them that... those with high [00:00:30] salaries, not that these are individual cases, we will consider the responsible [00:00:34] Mayor Tomašević and the management of Zagreb Electric Tram and [00:00:37] Zagreb Holding, if it happens that any of [00:00:40] our members, our workers get injured, if they are [00:00:44] forced to do some work that is not necessary, this should [00:00:49] ultimately taxes on have been taken into account through these collective negotiations, through the mediation process and from September 10 [00:00:53] to today, September 25, in 15 days we could [00:00:56] sit down, talk, see, maybe we would find some middle ground, maybe [00:01:00] something would or wouldn't happen in the end, but someone who is responsible and in charge of [00:01:04] the proper functioning of the city should have found time, [00:01:07] space, either to meet with the unions or to [00:01:11] tell the managements of Zagreb Holding and ZET that talks should be resumed [00:01:14] and not negotiations, but negotiations are over, so as far as ZET [00:01:18] is concerned, on Monday, if I understood correctly, only [00:01:21] school buses will run and emergency services will be transported, [00:01:25] for example, people with disabilities will of course have security [00:01:28] services working, of course they will. security guards, of course the fire department will work, but as far as [00:01:32] transport itself is concerned, as far as transport itself is concerned, all members of the representative union [00:01:36] don't have to do anything on Monday if we don't agree on necessary [00:01:39] jobs, and it is certain that if you let a tram [00:01:42] driver go into the city and he doesn't have half an hour, you can imagine what [00:01:46] would happen to that driver in trauma, and our drivers have been telling us for the past [00:01:50] three or four days that the pressure from passengers on them has increased after the publication [00:01:53] of these lists where these individual cases were singled out, [00:01:57] meaning they actually feel threatened. after all, well, you can [00:02:01] imagine, now when someone tells you, go on strike, and you all have, of course, people [00:02:05] like to simplify that, that's not everyone, I repeated that these are our workers with 200 hours [00:02:09] of overtime, our workers who some live [00:02:12] outside the city of Zagreb and get transport, who work in shifts, [00:02:16] public's reactions, given who work weekends, who work four or five months, they have a large [00:02:19] number of dependents, supported family members, so that's not [00:02:23] the goal, that's not done by chance, that's done, of course, intentionally to [00:02:27] provoke a revolt among people, and I say, we have increased. [00:02:30] increased remarks from our traffic [00:02:33] staff from of course not all passengers but [00:02:36] of course from individuals, because this should not have happened, [00:02:40] alright, and finally, uh, is it possible to avoid [00:02:43] a strike at this moment, the weekend is ahead of us, did [00:02:46] someone perhaps contact you this afternoon and if you get a call [00:02:50] during the weekend, will you respond, you said you are open to radar, well we [00:02:54] are, we communicated that publicly, we are communicating it now, [00:02:58] we are communicating it today at the press conference. [00:03:00] So what do we expect that we would consider [00:03:04] abandoning the strike? First, we had today in Zagreb [00:03:07] Holding 74% [00:03:09] of workers declared that they support the union's action, [00:03:12] 78% in ZET it was that, so it would be a [00:03:16] betrayal of our members, our workers if we were to go to [00:03:20] talks with Figo in our pocket. Of course we are [00:03:23] ready to talk about everything we were ready for two or three months ago, [00:03:27] let's sit down at the table and see what those [00:03:30] amounts are, but not in a way that we are offered to take it or leave it, but let's see [00:03:34] what those amounts are that we can solve, let's see what those steps are that we can [00:03:38] take and let's see some time steps, maybe we can't solve everything from [00:03:41] September 1st, but we can, if we sign, maybe solve it from January 1st. For example, [00:03:45] above, meaning if a call comes that the call is rational, that the [00:03:48] call is a normal call, meaning that we are told in advance to come, [00:03:52] we have a new proposal that we can discuss, that we are ready to discuss, [00:03:56] we will discuss for 48 hours, no one's interest. [00:04:00] So unions have never been interested in creating a circus in the city, anyone [00:04:04] can say whatever they want, so we are responsible, we are serious people, we are employees of [00:04:08] those companies after all, we are residents of the city of Zagreb in [00:04:11] this whole story, but there must be good will on the other side to resolve [00:04:14] it, like this, at every press conference we hear that our salary [00:04:18] grew from an initial 4.5% to nine, today we hear that it's already [00:04:22] 14, so now we're looking into some kind of crystal ball to see what will happen [00:04:26] from the new year, I think it's extremely incorrect, because that never happened, it wasn't even [00:04:30] the subject of discussion, so I say, we always have time for normal [00:04:33] conversations, sooner or later, whether we sit down at the table today [00:04:37] or we sit down in 15 days at the table, that meeting [00:04:40] must, when we talk about negotiations, that must be concluded and that must be [00:04:44] finished, I think it's always better to do it while the situation [00:04:48] is normal, but I say, with such statements, with such behavior, with [00:04:51] such uh, well, in my opinion, strange and [00:04:54] sad behavior, I think the doors to agreement are increasingly [00:04:57] closed, Mr. Jović, thank you for this... appearance, well, Monday is [00:05:01] near, but there's still more than 48 hours, so we'll see. [00:05:05] Thank you for the invitation and thank you for [00:05:07] coming. [00:05:21] and on October 10th, on Ban Jelačić Square, the Voice of Entrepreneurs and [00:05:24] the Save Small Renters association will gather for a [00:05:27] protest. They have been expressing their dissatisfaction for a long time, and anchor [00:05:30] prices are just the icing on the cake. [00:05:34] So, anchor prices are not the only reason why we [00:05:37] raised our voice, that there is such a big reaction on those [00:05:41] networks, as you mentioned, that people want changes, we had [00:05:45] examples with inspections during the summer which [00:05:49] we consider and we have more and more evidence that they are [00:05:51] disproportionate, that they are a bit [00:05:55] not concerned enough about the success and [00:05:58] sustainability of entrepreneurs, we had [00:06:01] flat-rate taxpayers which is still not resolved, that is even the main [00:06:05] reason why we are going into [00:06:08] some kind of public [00:06:09] protest. [00:06:22] The new Maksimir stadium has not even started to emerge yet, opinions about [00:06:26] it are absolutely lacking. The winning solution [00:06:29] presented yesterday divided the public, for some it is modern, [00:06:33] impressive, for others not special enough. Whatever the future [00:06:36] stadium looks like, one thing is certain, everyone has an opinion [00:06:39] about Maksimir. No, I don't like it. [00:06:42] Why? Well, the previous old stadium also had [00:06:45] gaps on the sides, right? Four, four [00:06:47] separate stands and now it's the same again, it's prettier [00:06:51] to see something like the Allianz Arena in Munich [00:06:55] or I don't know some other stadium [00:06:58] and I think the stadium [00:07:02] is quite good, I like it especially when compared to the other [00:07:05] five that were in the top five. right, [00:07:08] I think this one somehow has the most Zagrebian [00:07:12] flair, I see there were a lot of negative comments, how do you comment on that? Well, [00:07:16] I think it's always like that when something that is very important to people, something that people [00:07:19] hold dear to their hearts, then [00:07:23] there are always divided reactions, I also believe [00:07:26] that there are people who think it's good but they are not as vocal, and I also [00:07:30] think that some kind of expectation [00:07:33] was created originally [00:07:36] that the stadium would look somewhat [00:07:40] different, that's because of various renders. and, I think [00:07:43] there is perhaps a slight discrepancy between people's expectations and [00:07:47] what we actually got, but I think, that's a [00:07:50] serious international architectural competition, [00:07:54] I would leave such things to the experts, look, [00:07:58] I've had enough of that stadium at home, [00:08:00] and this new one, what do you [00:08:03] think? We've been listening to Dinamo for 90 years. [00:08:07] I can't say [00:08:10] I like it or I don't [00:08:13] like it, but it seems to me that Boban, what he said last night [00:08:17] and this guy who led it, it seems [00:08:21] to me that they are right, only when [00:08:24] it's built will we actually see [00:08:27] who's right. Thank you very much, well why [00:08:31] let me just say, why wasn't there any discussion [00:08:34] like this for Zagreb's stadium, well, I visit it almost [00:08:37] every day and I know when [00:08:41] they started demolishing it, I know what phase [00:08:45] it's in now, I mean, it's completely different from what [00:08:49] was painted there, therefore, we need to see it [00:08:53] in space, that's what you mean, alive, we need to see it in space to see how it will all [00:08:56] function, [00:09:00] oh, what do I know, that now it could have been [00:09:02] better, in terms of construction, [00:09:06] in terms of appearance, it's a bit like a [00:09:09] bone, it looks like a bone, and [00:09:13] I mean, it's not bad, but it could have been better, what do you [00:09:17] think, well, at least they claim that it wasn't intended to have an ordinary stadium, but [00:09:20] one that would be recognizable, well, there's something to that, yes, probably, [00:09:24] probably that's how it is, I think no one has such a stadium, so [00:09:27] whatever it looks like in the end, people will go to it, that's right, that's [00:09:31] right, that's right, whatever it is, people will go, that's right, whatever they build, [00:09:35] the [00:09:37] profession proposed it, let's give the profession some time, let them try [00:09:41] to organize it. Citizens have their opinion [00:09:44] on that, I think they channeled it well [00:09:47] and we, as one of the participants, as one of the participants [00:09:51] in that process, are listening to what is [00:09:54] happening. I am subjective here because I am a fan of NK Rijeka, [00:09:57] we have Rujevica which is very beautiful, although we have been waiting for Kantrida also [00:10:01] for years, so I think that [00:10:05] I would not venture to evaluate the NK Dinamo stadium, [00:10:09] I leave that to the people of Zagreb, so I say, I am a bit [00:10:12] subjective and in a conflict of interest, I think the one who builds it should listen to [00:10:16] the citizens, so if the citizens want this or [00:10:19] that, that's it, I'm a Hajduk fan and [00:10:22] I think the question is not [00:10:25] addressed to the right person, so a Hajduk fan should not [00:10:28] comment on what the Dinamo [00:10:31] stadium will look like. I think [00:10:34] one should of course respect the experts, but one should listen, [00:10:38] that is my general stance, those who will be at that [00:10:41] stadium, who will cheer at that stadium, who will reside at that [00:10:44] stadium, so their voice should also be heard. [00:10:48] The competition was run by a jury in which, if I'm not mistaken, there are five or six [00:10:51] architects, I hope that it will also [00:10:55] explain that choice to the public, I cannot get involved in that [00:10:58] sense because I have not seen other works and I think [00:11:02] it would be, uh, completely [00:11:05] unacceptable for me to say anything, what I can say [00:11:09] in principle, I think [00:11:12] that we, somehow, well not only [00:11:16] us in the world, [00:11:18] when some major changes or some [00:11:22] very unusual interventions in space, as I call it, [00:11:25] usually there is first a great [00:11:28] resistance, [00:11:30] we tried to ask the mayor today about the avalanche of opinions that fell on [00:11:34] the stadium, but today there was no [00:11:36] mood for that. [00:11:38] Can I ask an off-topic question, just for the Maksimir stadium if a short [00:11:42] comment is possible, this was a press conference about [00:11:45] this topic, meaning the announced strike, and for everything else there will be more new days, thank [00:11:49] you, [00:11:51] thank you, [00:12:00] And now we will go in front of the stadium, the one we still currently [00:12:04] have in Zagreb, there is our colleague Mateo [00:12:07] Keller, Mateo, so there is nothing missing in opinions since [00:12:11] the solution for the stadium was presented yesterday, public [00:12:14] interest not only in Zagreb, we must mention, but in the entire country [00:12:18] is huge. Social networks are also burning on this issue, [00:12:21] discussions do not stop, petitions are being signed against this... [00:12:25] by those who are not inclined to it, is this solution final? [00:12:29] Yes, Marinela, there were some very interesting [00:12:33] witty remarks about the stadium, we gave a lot of space to both people and [00:12:37] politicians, it seems it's a very important topic that is being [00:12:41] discussed, I managed to talk to the experts today, that is, with [00:12:43] Toma Plejić who is actually the main person responsible for the selection [00:12:47] of this stadium which is now presented as a conceptual solution, [00:12:51] we talked about why it's... the conceptual solution is the best, as [00:12:54] I see it, I also asked him why the public [00:12:58] has such conflicting opinions in relation to the experts, is it some kind of [00:13:02] elitism, so it's best to watch what he said today [00:13:05] in the conversation we had just [00:13:09] before. [00:13:12] Every reaction is good, both positive and negative, it means that there is something [00:13:15] to talk about, something to debate about, that [00:13:19] there is some active role for all sides [00:13:22] and I think it's very good that architecture in [00:13:25] some center of some cultural discourse [00:13:29] is very important, so nothing surprised me, [00:13:32] it's an emotional space in the city, [00:13:36] people are attached to that space, a space that [00:13:39] is rich with memories, rich [00:13:42] with images, scenes, events, it's [00:13:46] a complicated space, so reactions are very [00:13:49] normal, very human, very [00:13:53] real and should be discussed, on the other hand [00:13:57] I am deeply convinced that it is by far [00:14:00] the best work among all submitted in this international [00:14:03] competition, 808 works, 20 countries and [00:14:07] more, more continents, simply, it is [00:14:11] a super modern arena, a futuristic [00:14:14] arena, but conceived in a different way [00:14:18] from predominantly some completely enclosed [00:14:21] arenas, so [00:14:24] reactions are always welcome, these reactions will [00:14:27] give rise to [00:14:30] some common stance, [00:14:31] a common [00:14:34] picture of everything, so I think it's all good [00:14:38] and simply together we will build [00:14:41] this new structure in [00:14:43] Maksimir, well, can you just briefly explain what the original idea was, what was wanted, [00:14:47] it was wanted to keep some idea of the old Maksimir in a new [00:14:51] guise, can we say that? Well, in a way, it wasn't the intention [00:14:54] of this competition, the competition [00:14:58] was looking for a solution for a new stadium and out of 808 [00:15:00] works, this was the only one that drew a parallel with the old [00:15:04] stadium, we actually, through [00:15:08] the analysis of all these works, we realized that [00:15:11] it was important, that it was a [00:15:14] quality good one, and that that potential [00:15:18] of that stadium [00:15:22] which is a cult stadium of Turin. [00:15:26] that potential still exists and can somehow [00:15:29] be generated, reinterpreted into a new [00:15:32] completely modern stadium in the context of that old [00:15:36] stadium. In the end, it's a miracle [00:15:39] that something like that happened, and in parallel, an interesting topic with [00:15:43] Poljud, the topic of how Poljud was actually [00:15:47] generated from the Maksimir stadium, so [00:15:51] that this genesis [00:15:54] of these sports facilities of these arenas [00:15:57] is interesting and it's interesting how that one [00:16:01] potential exists there that then echoes [00:16:05] in different situations. different [00:16:07] times, there is a terribly charged DNA, [00:16:11] so that means that was not a condition, [00:16:15] but this is a completely different work and we are all [00:16:18] unanimously 100% for this [00:16:21] project, because it is a reflection of a tradition, identity, [00:16:25] a story, the Maksimir story, a Zagreb, Croatian [00:16:28] story, that's what keeps [00:16:31] us together, keeps us proud, [00:16:35] keeps us - [00:16:38] cultured and we have a [00:16:41] line of thought, [00:16:45] an authentic story, it is an authentic [00:16:48] story, clearly, you say an authentic story, you say it will be a modern [00:16:52] arena, most modern arenas today are enclosed, this one will [00:16:56] be open, criticisms go in the direction that [00:16:58] much is said about discomfort at Croatian sports [00:17:02] venues, i.e. on Croatian football fields, do you think that here in that problem, will [00:17:06] kidneys be draughty, as they say? Well, no, I don't think so, [00:17:09] it's a well- balanced, well- [00:17:13] designed arena, which is sufficiently protected, sufficiently [00:17:17] covered and [00:17:19] what's interesting about this project is that it's [00:17:23] a reduced architectural [00:17:26] language, reduced to the core, so there are no [00:17:29] excesses, no additions, [00:17:33] but pure essence, so [00:17:36] uh... "this is a realistic [00:17:39] proposal, a realistic proposal that it can be [00:17:42] realized in the planned time, in the planned budget, and [00:17:46] according to the latest standards, [00:17:49] European, football and so on, so [00:17:52] it will be a perfect facility for a [00:17:56] perfect experience, clearly, I mean, regardless of what you [00:17:59] are saying, there are still a lot of polemics, there is talk [00:18:03] of a petition, there is talk of collecting signatures." about that [00:18:06] another project should actually be chosen, is there [00:18:10] a possibility for that and what in essence if that number of signed signatures [00:18:13] is very high, well, [00:18:16] listen, now uh, [00:18:19] of course everything is possible, it's possible to give up everything, it's possible [00:18:22] that [00:18:24] something gets complicated for some [00:18:27] reason, everything is possible, everything [00:18:30] is possible, I don't believe that, I think it's simply [00:18:33] the first some... flex, the first [00:18:37] some shock, everyone, it's interesting with this topic [00:18:39] that everyone feels the need to comment, what is [00:18:43] simply, it's a part of us, it's something we [00:18:46] feel, something we feel the need to react to, fiercely [00:18:49] and strongly, that's very good and that brings us to a situation [00:18:53] where we will all ultimately build that, we will build ourselves, [00:18:57] we will build that structure, we will simply [00:19:00] shape that dialogue among [00:19:03] ourselves, so I don't believe in such a [00:19:06] scenario, I think that [00:19:10] uh, both the profession [00:19:13] and the city and [00:19:16] the state are confident that we are [00:19:20] all actually uh convinced that [00:19:23] this is a realistic, excellent project that [00:19:26] gives, it offers great potential [00:19:30] to be globally referential, recognizable, [00:19:33] iconic, which was very important, this new stadium has a very iconic. [00:19:38] message, that it is simply recognizable, that its [00:19:41] silhouette is recognizable, that this is the specialty [00:19:45] of this stadium and not a generic, simple, [00:19:49] perhaps for some an expected, enclosed bowl, [00:19:52] pot, some bucket and so [00:19:55] on, in short, there will be no deviation from [00:19:59] the idea, well, in my opinion, I don't see why we would deviate [00:20:03] when this is a realistic [00:20:06] reflection which is [00:20:10] feasible according to the highest standards, [00:20:14] fits the budget, fits our [00:20:17] capabilities, I don't see why we [00:20:20] would want to do something that we cannot realize, clearly, [00:20:24] here's one more question for the end, the relationship between the profession and the public, [00:20:28] we have talked a lot about that now, is it true that [00:20:31] on the one hand, if most people claim that something [00:20:35] is... perhaps not up to standard or they don't like it, on the other hand the profession claims [00:20:38] one thing, does that convey some kind of elitism from that [00:20:42] perspective that what is still for [00:20:45] a majority and the majority goes to stadiums and it's still about the people, about [00:20:49] the masses, how do you view [00:20:53] interaction, well I don't imagine that, I don't [00:20:55] think it's some kind of, that we [00:20:58] are or the profession is or that architecture or architects are some [00:21:02] elite category of [00:21:06] autistic maniacs who have no reflection [00:21:10] on the moment on [00:21:13] uh the needs of society, on the contrary, I think we are [00:21:16] altruistic, that we are actually empathetic [00:21:20] and that we [00:21:23] reflect the needs of the current [00:21:26] moment and transpose that into some future [00:21:28] time, so I think it's all good, [00:21:32] that there is [00:21:35] uh that, I mean, it's a shock, the public simply experienced [00:21:39] a shock, it expected something, I think that with [00:21:42] other projects the reaction would be similar, it would not [00:21:46] be significantly different, but with this... [00:21:50] "simply, the project situation is such that we are deeply convinced that [00:21:54] this is a brilliant [00:21:56] solution, [00:21:58] a masterpiece that it is [00:22:02] globally referential and [00:22:04] relevant, [00:22:11] yes, according to Plejić, this is a masterpiece solution, mm, [00:22:15] I would still leave it to the public to give the final judgment, i.e. the profession and the public [00:22:18] jointly m'. What is important to emphasize is that this [00:22:22] calm of this project will actually, or calm, calm [00:22:25] of this clear, or this [00:22:28] concrete conversation and problems, we have been waiting for [00:22:31] Maksimir itself for a very long time, years have passed, it turned out that [00:22:35] generations and generations have [00:22:37] been waiting for this construction to finally happen, it seems that this calm, as [00:22:41] I said, the calm of the final idea and [00:22:44] how it will look, we will actually have to [00:22:48] wait a bit longer. Kranjčevićeva is progressing, [00:22:52] it should be finished by 2027. [00:22:55] by the beginning of 2027. After [00:22:58] that, if all goes well, construction of Maksimir should [00:23:02] begin, but given the [00:23:06] what we heard from the experts and their, almost [00:23:09] diametrically opposite view on the entire [00:23:13] situation, it is probable that there could [00:23:16] be delays in the start of works. [00:23:20] That's all for now from Maksimir with expectations [00:23:23] for the construction of a new stadium. [00:23:27] Thank you, Mateo, one thing is certain, that the polemics and discussions about [00:23:31] the long-awaited stadium will certainly not stop anytime soon. [00:23:50] was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder of nineteen-year-old [00:23:54] high school student Luka Milovac in Drniš in May of this year. [00:23:57] The County Court in Šibenik found him guilty of all three criminal [00:24:00] acts he was [00:24:02] charged with. [00:24:06] Kristijan Aleksić last entered the courtroom of the Šibenik [00:24:10] court for the pronouncement of the final verdict. The accused Kristijan [00:24:14] Aleksić is guilty. The court found him guilty of all three [00:24:18] criminal offenses and sentenced him to a single prison sentence of [00:24:21] 40 years. For the criminal offense of aggravated [00:24:25] murder, as stated in point one, based on Article [00:24:27] 111. A long-term prison sentence of [00:24:31] 40 years. For the criminal offense of unlawful [00:24:35] possession, production, and acquisition of weapons and explosive substances as stated [00:24:38] in point 2, based on Article 331, paragraph one [00:24:42] of the Criminal Code, a prison sentence of two years. [00:24:46] For the criminal offense of unlawful possession, production, and acquisition. [00:24:50] acquisition of weapons and explosive substances as stated in point [00:24:53] three, based on Article 331, paragraph one [00:24:56] of the Criminal Code, a prison sentence of three years. The [00:25:00] reasoning for the decision states a series of aggravating circumstances: [00:25:03] the first is that he had previously killed, been reported and punished for theft [00:25:07] and domestic violence, as well as for the possession and production of firearms. [00:25:11] weapons. They also consider his behavior [00:25:14] before and during the murder to be aggravating, and they believe that he [00:25:18] treacherously killed nineteen-year-old Luka, who tried to earn [00:25:22] some money by delivering. Also, he must pay the family compensation [00:25:25] of 50,000 euros and cover court costs [00:25:29] in the amount of 14,192 [00:25:32] euros. This cost includes the cost of transporting the victim's [00:25:36] body to the pathology department, the cost of conducting biological [00:25:39] expert examination, ballistic and [00:25:41] combined psychiatric and psychological expert examination, as well as [00:25:45] forensic expert examination, then performing [00:25:48] an external examination and autopsy of the victim's body and court [00:25:51] fees. The prosecution is satisfied with the verdict because [00:25:54] they considered everything they asked for, which is the maximum [00:25:57] prison sentence because he treacherously killed Luka. [00:26:01] His confession was not influential in determining [00:26:05] the criminal offense, and even if he had not confessed, the criminal [00:26:08] offense would have been proven with [00:26:11] the evidence obtained and collected during the investigation. Regardless [00:26:14] of Aleksić's challenging the part where he is accused of ordering food six times before [00:26:18] the act itself to give the impression that he was not [00:26:22] dangerous, the defense expected such a decision. I [00:26:25] don't think anyone was surprised by the decision [00:26:28] on guilt or the decision on the punishment for the criminal legal [00:26:31] sanction. Given that, as we know, the criminal law [00:26:35] was changed because of this case, in such a way that long-term imprisonment was [00:26:39] introduced into criminal legislation, [00:26:42] this is a life sentence. I don't think anyone expected anything less than [00:26:46] the maximum sentence. In this proceeding, the defense can [00:26:49] appeal the decision, but it seems that they will not, because, as Aleksić [00:26:53] himself said, he is 10 times better off in prison. [00:26:57] Vesela Šegvić Kordić, N1 [00:26:59] Šibenik. [00:27:03] Tomislav Horvatinčić was arrested again due to violating a security measure [00:27:07] that was imposed on him along with the verdict for causing [00:27:10] a tragic maritime accident. That measure refers to the ban [00:27:13] on driving all motor vehicles for five years. It [00:27:16] started to be applied in July last year after [00:27:20] Horvatinčić served his sentence. The arrest [00:27:23] came a few days after Index published a photo [00:27:27] of Horvatinčić at the wheel of a SUV in Zagreb. [00:27:30] Today he was taken for police interrogation, which ended. [00:27:46] The Ministry of Environmental Protection published a comprehensive plan for the remediation [00:27:50] of illegally deposited waste in Gospić after it was [00:27:53] presented on September 22nd first to citizen initiatives and [00:27:57] associations. The document, they say, details four [00:28:01] phases of remediation, activities and deadlines, as well as the method [00:28:05] of monitoring implementation. The presentation of the plan [00:28:07] was also published on the ministry's website. [00:28:23] And the case of illegal waste in Gospić reached a new level, as far as [00:28:26] politics is concerned. The SDP launched an initiative to vote [00:28:30] no confidence in Prime Minister Andrej. And [00:28:33] they were supported by other opposition MPs. And while [00:28:36] the opposition seeks responsibility for the case at the top of the government, the HDZ [00:28:40] says that the parliamentary majority is stable, and that the proposal [00:28:43] will not pass. [00:28:46] The SDP submitted a proposal to the Sabor to vote no confidence in Prime Minister [00:28:50] Andrej Plenković and his government. [00:28:53] The request was signed by 54 representatives. The main [00:28:57] reason they cite is the government's responsibility for illegally disposed waste in Gospić [00:29:01] and the way the system reacted. In eight points, we [00:29:04] explained why the responsibility starts with [00:29:07] the Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković has been leading [00:29:10] Croatia for years, he regulates supervision [00:29:14] and chooses people at the head of institutions. Therefore, the Prime Minister [00:29:18] must be held accountable for the way his government [00:29:20] managed this problem and for [00:29:23] the lack of timely protection of citizens. Along with the SDP, [00:29:27] all representatives of the left signed the proposal. And [00:29:30] the minimum is civil'. organizationally and politically, [00:29:34] the one who is responsible for that system [00:29:37] should resign, that is Andrej [00:29:40] Plenković. Now it's the government's move, they must submit their statement [00:29:43] within eight days, and the Parliament must [00:29:47] debate and vote on confidence no later than 30 days. The HDZ [00:29:51] says they are looking forward to the debate. In this ten-year [00:29:54] rule of the Croatian Democratic Union led by Andrej [00:29:57] Plenković, there have been many recall proposals, [00:30:00] however. "none of them managed to [00:30:04] pass, and it will be the same with this decree. Among [00:30:07] the signatories are also representatives of Most, which is enough for the HDZ [00:30:11] to accuse the SDP of using Most as a fig leaf. [00:30:15] We must send a message as an opposition party that the government after [00:30:19] such a situation must, must fall. We simultaneously [00:30:23] have attacks from the left, we can [00:30:26] move towards Most, and we also have [00:30:29] attacks from the HDZ. They say that we are what..." [00:30:32] they just said that we are a fig leaf, right? Well, this only [00:30:36] shows us how much fear there is of both the globalist left and [00:30:40] of the HDZ from the growth [00:30:43] of Most. Only the representatives of the Croatian Sovereigns [00:30:46] did not sign for the recall, but they say that does not [00:30:49] mean they support the government. We will not jointly overthrow or build anything [00:30:53] with the left. We did not sign, they signed, we [00:30:57] will as an opposition party.
