[00:00:00] in practice, it simply cannot respond from this position, from [00:00:04] all of these, I mean, neither personally nor has enough time passed [00:00:07] since his previous role, so this is [00:00:11] this is very very strong, he solves everything [00:00:14] before going to the elections [00:00:17] and polling stations, now he is trying [00:00:20] to compensate for his lack of humanity, that is, the lack [00:00:23] see each other again and until I of humanity in the role he previously had, so now we are seeing some [00:00:27] of his somewhat clumsy attempts [00:00:30] to get closer to people and present himself as one of them. On the [00:00:34] other hand, what target group do you see as [00:00:37] primary for students, for the student list, in order for [00:00:41] a victory to be achieved? Are these the current [00:00:44] abstainers, are these the undecided voters, [00:00:48] are these the current voters of the Serbian Progressive Party, the same ones [00:00:52] that the president is trying to retain with all these mechanisms [00:00:55] you were talking about? Uh, well, these are a bit of [00:00:59] all... all of those groups. I am sure that students have attracted those [00:01:03] slightly milder abstainers for whom it is not a life's, a life's [00:01:06] decision not to vote, not to engage in politics. There is a certain percentage of such people, but it is simply [00:01:10] difficult to reach them, they are in a completely non-political, non- [00:01:14] historical process in their minds, so it is difficult to reach them, but on [00:01:18] the other hand, there are those milder abstainers who are certainly students [00:01:21] have already attracted, and that is because they are new, they [00:01:25] don't have, as they say, skeletons in their closet, they don't have any [00:01:28] party past. Uh, on the other hand, yes, probably [00:01:32] among there is a certain number, it's not, it's not, I don't know [00:01:36] how large a number among SNS, former voters, that is, [00:01:39] now those who are now declaring that they will probably vote, but [00:01:43] are not sure they will vote, there is a pool of voters that [00:01:47] students could reach, but you said that there are not many such voters, [00:01:50] there are not many, for now it shows, I mean, I haven't seen since [00:01:54] all this happened with the opposition, although all that now new research needs to be done because [00:01:58] it's a new political situation. New context, uh, so [00:02:02] it remains to be seen how how that has distributed and what the atmosphere [00:02:06] is among this anti-regime uh [00:02:08] actually you said, if I'm not mistaken, that uh in [00:02:12] an atmosphere of great political divisions, there are fewer and fewer [00:02:15] undecided voters. For example, I remember a large survey was done, a really large [00:02:19] one, before the elections in 23, when [00:02:22] I mean, the expectations were not like this, the expectations for big cities [00:02:25] were that maybe something could happen, that is, that it could change even in big cities. Then [00:02:29] I remember there were 7-8% undecided in that large survey just before [00:02:33] the elections, so it's getting less and less, this is no longer the situation [00:02:36] we had in the 90s that uh there were [00:02:40] 20, 30% undecided and simply [00:02:43] campaigns were then directed at them, now it's a slightly different case within [00:02:47] this voter list, which is what it is, [00:02:51] so we'll see how that will be realized on the day of [00:02:54] the election itself. On the other hand, there are those uh... [00:02:58] voters, there were some in previous surveys who [00:03:01] are not sure about their choice, they are not sure that they [00:03:05] will say for whom they will vote, but there are also them, I mean, [00:03:09] it's amazing that both among students and [00:03:12] among uh SNS, in this [00:03:14] situation, there were about 80 and over 80% [00:03:18] of those who are sure, which is quite a large number before [00:03:21] the elections, which means that people are determined to go out and vote, but there are still another [00:03:25] 20-ish percent who are not so sure, that they will decide. What [00:03:28] will decide the winner of these elections? Well, I think that for [00:03:32] students, I think the most important thing [00:03:35] is actually, since we have this situation here, uh, [00:03:38] that you have on one side a political option that [00:03:42] absolutely controls the entire election process, and [00:03:46] in the diaspora in Republika Srpska and here at the polling stations in [00:03:49] institutions, and it has all that power, I mean, [00:03:53] it has a party infrastructure and people who uh [00:03:57] who go out and call people, drive people. What students don't have, students on the other [00:04:00] hand have that general mobilization, that [00:04:04] enthusiasm, but the problem now is for that enthusiasm [00:04:06] to actually last until election day, until the polling station, because [00:04:10] they don't have such, I mean, for now they don't have or it's not visible, [00:04:14] such an election structure, this, [00:04:17] that is, such an election machine, so for students it's important [00:04:21] to bring all those people who are currently supporting them [00:04:24] to the polling station on October 25th, so we will [00:04:28] now see the battle of enthusiasm and [00:04:31] mobilization on one side and control of the process on the other side, and potential [00:04:35] election irregularities, because we know what the local, [00:04:39] what the local elections looked like, but that is, let's say, a separate topic, let's [00:04:43] stick to the campaign and what will happen until the elections. Does it [00:04:46] seem to you that the scenes, first of the lines for [00:04:50] collecting signatures for the student list, then the [00:04:53] submission of the student list itself, that it was somehow a turning [00:04:57] point that set the trajectory for... the continuation of this [00:05:01] campaign, that it is related to what we talked about at the beginning, how the SNS [00:05:04] is conducting the campaign, that this is now the first time that actually uh [00:05:08] one opposition force, the student list [00:05:11] determines... uh the campaign, that it is somehow [00:05:15] the one that people are looking at, actually, yes, there are such campaigns that [00:05:18] happen so that the energy pulls the strategy itself, [00:05:21] not just the submission of the list, that enthusiasm and [00:05:25] dancing in front of Rik, but also before [00:05:27] that, those lines for signing, where [00:05:31] people again woke up that period that we call the 'kiflica' period, where [00:05:34] people again, uh, for example, something that [00:05:37] probably no longer exists with the SNS, and doesn't exist in that way, [00:05:41] that people came to a situation for the first [00:05:44] time, I mean, for the first time, they again came to a situation [00:05:48] to build that identity, to belong to that one [00:05:51] community, that they found themselves on the street, fighting for the same [00:05:55] thing, they created that sense of belonging to each [00:05:58] other and belonging to that identity which then motivates [00:06:02] more than any message that students can [00:06:06] send at that moment, so they are actually riding a wave [00:06:10] more than it is this. Something that [00:06:13] they could have artificially produced from an election headquarters. [00:06:17] What effect does what is called [00:06:20] a referendum atmosphere have, uh, [00:06:24] and the fact that these elections are viewed as [00:06:26] a day when the most important decision is made, [00:06:30] as a day that changes, where a resolution [00:06:34] to this two-year crisis we are living [00:06:37] is somehow expected? Uh, well, a referendum as such, [00:06:40] if we avoid that, a referendum atmosphere, a referendum [00:06:43] itself is simpler for voters, because for voters [00:06:47] who are not involved in politics, who are not in our [00:06:50] sector where we deal with news and campaigns every day, it is [00:06:54] easier for them when a referendum is in question, it is easier to make a decision, [00:06:57] it is easier, they don't have to inform themselves whether they are allowed to vote for an opposition party [00:07:01] or not allowed to vote or whether it is that they should consider, [00:07:05] now those who are not so adept at other things, whether [00:07:08] their vote will be counted or not, for them... [00:07:12] a referendum atmosphere always suits them, because they simply have [00:07:16] a simpler situation. In referendums, regardless of elections, [00:07:19] there is always a higher turnout because it is approximately one question that is [00:07:23] asked, these are not, it is not a question of politics, it is not a question of the European Union or [00:07:27] Russia, it is not a question of these complex political issues, that is why [00:07:30] there is a possibility that if that referendum atmosphere, which [00:07:34] we are already seeing a lot of, is created, it will be easier for people to decide [00:07:38] to go out and vote, regardless of the fact that there are multiple lists participating [00:07:41] in the elections, so there are not just two, that atmosphere, that effect [00:07:45] can actually be achieved, we will see [00:07:48] how it will, how it will be with these so-called phantom and less phantom lists, what [00:07:52] we are already, that's why I say, these are already some old tricks, for example, it's [00:07:55] interesting to me now that Rasim has two parties coming out, even though he is no longer [00:07:59] the president of one, but now he is running as a minority party, that's one of [00:08:03] the interesting novelties, but I mean, at the level of [00:08:07] election fraud, I mean, such things will happen to us, but we are somehow [00:08:11] already used to it, that's why... I say these are quite old tricks. I just want to ask you [00:08:15] at the end about the opposition parties, yesterday [00:08:17] uh so the coalition of pro-European [00:08:21] parties submitted uh their election [00:08:24] list to Rik, uh previously we [00:08:28] heard that some prominent members of the party [00:08:32] Srce SSP or left the presidency in [00:08:35] the case of Srce or left [00:08:39] the list in the case of SSP in "First I want to [00:08:43] ask you, what do you think about that, what effect can the withdrawal of some of their [00:08:46] members have on their [00:08:48] result? Well, as for the opposition, I don't belong to that part [00:08:52] who is happy about this situation, because in [00:08:56] the last couple of years, some kind of party system has been created in our country, [00:09:00] we had some new parties with new faces that managed [00:09:04] to enter European party families, to create some [00:09:08] relationships, some structures, so I hope that some people who [00:09:11] have... um uh uh who have [00:09:15] who have distinguished themselves, who have built some careers, that is [00:09:18] some uh ratings, let's say, their [00:09:22] political identities, that they will survive [00:09:25] this period, that they will continue to engage in politics, but what I criticize [00:09:28] opposition parties for is that they missed [00:09:31] the moment to create some kind of formation where precisely those people who [00:09:35] had some ratings, at least among this [00:09:38] anti-regime side, managed to create [00:09:41] a formation that is for... for this moment and to be [00:09:45] some kind of support uh support for the student [00:09:48] list, uh, so now in this [00:09:51] referendum situation, under such pressure, I don't [00:09:54] see that uh opposition parties who are still [00:09:58] determined to run can create space for themselves, it will simply [00:10:02] be the same atmosphere as it was in 24 for the part of the opposition [00:10:05] that ran, there will be more talk about why you are running than what [00:10:09] you are offering, who the people are, and what is being done, so I think it will be difficult for them to get out [00:10:13] of that discourse that has been imposed on them now. Thank you very much [00:10:23] by citizens who are asking the authorities to investigate the increasing number of [00:10:27] dead animals on the streets, and an explanation why [00:10:30] such cases usually remain [00:10:31] unresolved. With every [00:15:54] movement, the scent activates and reminds you that you are [00:15:57] loved, until we [00:16:43] You are watching Novi Dan. In the last month, residents of Novi Sad have been reporting an increasing [00:16:47] number of dead animals on the streets, and they suspect that some of [00:16:50] them were poisoned. Because of this, they have launched a petition asking [00:16:54] the authorities to determine what happened and explaining why [00:16:57] such cases usually remain unresolved. [00:16:59] epiloga. [00:17:02] Nikola passes through Fruškogorska Street in [00:17:06] Liman almost every day. What he wasn't used to seeing there were lifeless [00:17:09] animal bodies by the road. Recently, he found a dead kitten with no [00:17:13] visible injuries, so he couldn't know what happened to it. [00:17:17] Then he started noticing a pattern. The next day, when I [00:17:20] was walking my dog again, I saw a pigeon a little further down the street [00:17:24] by the sidewalk. Then on the third day, again [00:17:28] in the morning, I walked even further down the street, [00:17:31] so there in Fruškogorska Street I first saw a sparrow by [00:17:35] the sidewalk, then a little further down near the technology park [00:17:39] also a pigeon. Similar sights were reported by citizens in [00:17:42] Grbavica, Novo Naselje, and other parts of Novi Sad, with [00:17:46] suspicions that the animals were poisoned. What Nikola found [00:17:49] and photographed, he then called Zoo Hygiene. I received [00:17:53] an answer that there's nothing to initiate, that it's a common thing, that it's normal for [00:17:56] animals to die, so we argued a bit, that it's not normal after all, [00:18:00] something needs to be done. I received an answer to call the veterinary [00:18:03] inspection. And precisely because of that shifting from one address to [00:18:07] another, citizens say, it further complicates the investigation of such [00:18:10] cases. If you suspect you have found poison, [00:18:13] do not touch it, but photograph the location and call [00:18:16] the police, inspection, advise the association. [00:18:20] Call the police even if you find a dead [00:18:23] animal. And then the police should call the veterinary [00:18:27] inspection, which then gives an order for [00:18:30] an autopsy. The prosecutor's office is informed, [00:18:33] and the prosecutor's office should initiate proceedings, giving [00:18:37] orders to the police on what to do next. However, many such [00:18:40] cases, according to our interlocutor, remain unresolved because [00:18:44] there is a lack of willingness to investigate who the perpetrator is. If [00:18:47] it is forbidden by law, by the criminal code, to kill and [00:18:51] abuse animals, then we don't have to say, [00:18:55] hey, our children will suffer for someone to even consider [00:18:59] dealing with that case. And those cases are not [00:19:02] a new story. A few years ago, poison on the street also [00:19:06] took Laza, the dog of journalist Nedim Sejdinović, [00:19:09] that is truly an event that one, of course, remembers for the rest [00:19:13] of their life and actually never gets over their dog, just like [00:19:16] family members for the rest of their life, they just learn to live with that pain. [00:19:19] For the substance with which the dog was [00:19:23] poisoned according to the findings, Idinović states that only one [00:19:26] gram is enough to cause death in humans, so the [00:19:29] non-punishment of this act is particularly problematic. In our [00:19:33] country, except for one case, as far as I know, there have been no [00:19:37] serious sanctions for the people who [00:19:40] poisoned dogs, it's simply necessary for that to happen. And [00:19:44] what happened recently in Novi Sad, whether the animals were poisoned, [00:19:48] we asked the authorities, we are waiting for answers. [00:19:51] Ina Džakula N1, Novi [00:19:53] Sad. [00:20:03] It's time for an overview of the most important sports news, which will be discussed in more detail in the sports [00:20:07] segment at 11 AM with guests, my colleague Dragan [00:22:03] in a completely different context, alongside parliamentary elections, there will soon [00:22:06] be elections in the football association. Is it becoming clear who will be the new [00:22:10] president? Somewhat unexpectedly, [00:22:13] everything is usually mixed with politics, so there was an expectation [00:22:16] of a mix from Andrićev Venac as to who could be the new president. "And then it [00:22:20] happened that Crvena Zvezda [00:22:23] changed the holder of the delegate mandate and instead of [00:22:26] Dragan Džajić, included Zvezdan Terzić in the assembly [00:22:29] lineup, which means that he will obviously be one of the candidates [00:22:33] alongside Branko Radujko, that is what is now [00:22:36] certain, on October 17th there will be an election assembly [00:22:39] of the Football Association of Serbia. Now the big question is [00:22:43] if the broader political landscape changes, whether that [00:22:47] president of the association will remain in that position or will there be another [00:22:51] change at the head of the association. In any case, this session has already been postponed [00:22:54] twice, it is now scheduled for September 17th, and if [00:22:58] it is uh, to be judged based on available information, [00:23:02] the main candidates for the position of president will be Zvezdan Terzić and Branko [00:24:45] continues this year as a joint, rebellious, and [00:24:48] libertarian act of civil disobedience and [00:24:51] creativity, as stated by the organizers. This year's edition [00:24:55] begins today at 60 locations in Belgrade, [00:24:58] and at one of them is our Una Ćirković. [00:25:01] Una, is everything ready for the opening of the festival scheduled at [00:25:05] noon? [00:25:09] Mija, the final preparations are slowly [00:25:12] coming to an end. At the Museum of the 90s, [00:25:15] the festival is expected to begin [00:25:19] with the opening of Anja Suša's micro-scene. What can visitors [00:25:22] see at this micro-scene and at other [00:25:26] locations? We ask Bjanka Badovinac, who is on the organizing [00:25:29] team. Bjanka, thank you for speaking to [00:25:33] N1. And, first question, what will visitors be able to see at [00:25:36] this specific scene? That's right, we are currently in the Museum of the 90s, [00:25:40] and Anja Suša actually conducted interviews with [00:25:43] Oliver Frljić, Borut Šeparović, and Ivana Sajko, [00:25:47] since Anja actually founded a regional platform at Bitef when she [00:25:51] was a selector here. We also expect a discussion with her [00:25:54] at three, and from four we invite students to join [00:25:57] us to talk about what the older generations [00:26:01] have left us from this Bitef, and how we will [00:26:05] deal with all of that later? This was supposed to be [00:26:08] the 60th anniversary Bitef, but for the second year [00:26:11] it is in a different [00:26:14] edition. There are more than [00:26:17] 40 locations, so how difficult [00:26:20] was it to organize such a festival without [00:26:24] institutional support? Well, actually it was perhaps even [00:26:28] easier than we expected, precisely because of the good will and desire of everyone. [00:26:32] people to help participate in this jubilee, because [00:26:36] it's not that we like to organize parallel [00:26:38] manifestations, but art is actually created to [00:26:42] provoke society, criticize it. [00:26:46] In this country there are some people who are actually afraid of that criticism. [00:26:50] How did you manage to organize such a big festival [00:26:53] by yourselves? A lot of people participated in the whole [00:26:57] organization, a lot of people who are [00:27:00] , you know, leaders of these locations, agreed to come [00:27:03] from abroad, many hosts really made an effort to [00:27:07] organize and produce their own scenes. Actually, everything turned out well, we from [00:27:11] the organization are actually coordinators of these [00:27:13] scenes, so some people who haven't dealt with [00:27:16] production before actually got into it because of this [00:27:19] event. Uh, the idea is actually that everyone can [00:27:22] create their own tour in a way that suits them, to walk around the city, go [00:27:26] from one micro-scene to another, [00:27:29] but is there still a recommended starting [00:27:32] point? That's right, on the NeBitf website you can find a map [00:27:36] which you can find in printed form at the locations, but actually [00:27:39] I recommend that maybe those who like to walk can check where our [00:27:43] walkers start these tours and then join them [00:27:47] and in the meantime stop by some of the locations. So look for scenes where [00:27:51] Miloš Timotijević, Ana Miljanić, Veljko [00:27:54] Stevanović will also lead a tour, and Miloš [00:27:58] Janić. And the closing of the festival today is... [00:28:02] At seven where? At [00:28:05] the Cultural Decontamination Center. At 7, all the hosts, [00:28:08] artists, and the entire organization will come, so that will be an [00:28:12] event where we will also discuss the [00:28:15] future of Bitef and actually close this [00:28:19] festival. Thank you for speaking to N1, so all interested parties [00:28:22] today from 12 to 6 will be able to [00:28:26] visit more than 60 micro-scenes [00:28:29] of this year's "Ne Bitef," while the closing [00:28:32] of the festival will be at 7 PM at the Cultural [00:28:36] Decontamination Center. [00:28:38] Thank you, Una. "Ne Bitef," which starts today [00:28:42] at 12, we heard our Una Ćirković. With this we conclude [00:28:45] today's new day. About a clean river [00:29:28] that beautifies nature and gives life to [00:29:31] everything, and above all to man, it would be good to [00:29:35] know. This means we have a place to grow and plant something [00:29:39] in that healthy soil, right? We drink clean water and everything, [00:29:43] and still we are not aware of it. The so-called dam builders [00:29:46] and whatever else, smelled the water from [00:29:50] the mountain. This is a project, imagine, from the 80s [00:29:54] still. Imagine a country where, let's say, for almost 50 years nothing has changed to [00:29:57] find some other sources of supply. That dam... It wasn't [00:30:01] supposed to be here, we could have used [00:30:04] that water without a dam [00:30:08] , as it is still [00:30:11] used today.
