[00:27:58] the river. Of course, we believed it and tried it,
[00:28:01] because for people who live by clean water, Rzav
[00:28:05] means everything. This didn't happen overnight, and why a dam on
[00:28:08] such a river? That water intake was designed to
[00:28:11] supply drinking water
[00:28:14] to the inhabitants of Čačak, Gornji Milanovac, Lučani,
[00:28:18] Požega, Arilje. It was estimated that it would supply about
[00:28:22] 500,000 people, however, unfortunately,
[00:28:25] unfortunately, not that many people live
[00:28:28] in those municipalities, people move for various
[00:28:32] reasons, of course, the well-known White Plague again, so from some
[00:28:35] 200,000 now,
[00:28:39] 200,000 people, experts who are free-thinking,
[00:28:43] who are not in
[00:28:45] the clutches of, or compromised by, some, they
[00:28:49] that whole undertaking is unnecessary
[00:28:52] that there are several alternative ways
[00:28:56] in which the problem of drinking water shortage
[00:28:59] could be solved and the main way is to replace
[00:29:03] worn-out pipes, that is an investment that would be far less than
[00:29:06] the construction of the spent funds that have been spent
[00:29:10] so far on the construction of that dam. We see this
[00:29:13] project, imagine from the 80s,
[00:29:17] imagine a country where for almost 50 years
[00:29:21] in all the development of science and technology nothing has changed to find
[00:29:24] some other sources of supply, regarding greed
[00:29:27] 2009. The estimated cost of the dam was 52
[00:29:31] million euros. The last statement from the government was over
[00:29:34] 160 million euros and so on, that is truly
[00:29:37] unbelievable, but in principle these expensive investments
[00:29:41] are needed, they are needed in all highly corrupt countries, expensive
[00:29:44] investments are the best way to transfer money into
[00:29:48] private pockets, that dam was not
[00:29:51] needed,
[00:29:53] but the dam was a political
[00:29:57] issue, not a social one,
[00:30:00] I cannot get it. I mean, I need
[00:30:04] the name, it was not needed, that dam was not
[00:30:07] supposed to be
[00:30:09] here,
[00:30:11] we could use that water without
[00:30:14] the dam
[00:30:16] to use it, as it is still used today,
[00:30:19] here, all those municipalities have
[00:30:23] the same water this,
[00:30:26] well, I know many who worked
[00:30:29] on that project up there on... this
[00:30:33] who claim that they
[00:30:36] did those tests that that dam would never be
[00:30:40] in that place
[00:30:43] because they did some part of the work and
[00:30:46] what do I know, they did all kinds
[00:30:49] of boreholes and and this, and then
[00:30:53] they came across some caves. I also
[00:30:56] worked on a drilling rig when I started working up there.
