[00:04:06] Basher, welcome. Sir, diving right into the question. Earlier Dr.
[00:04:10] Jamil Ahmed Khan, former ambassador to spoke to Pakistan
[00:04:13] of TV to discuss the issue. What do you have to say about the
[00:04:16] 81st general assembly meeting and what you think
[00:04:20] that prime minister, deputy prime minister will say in the 81st
[00:04:24] general assembly
[00:04:30] well, like all
[00:04:32] sessions, it's it's an important
[00:04:36] session, but more so because
[00:04:39] of the crisis that beset the
[00:04:42] of world, and obviously the
[00:04:45] of
[00:04:45] of agenda, besides
[00:04:47] of the agenda, there will be,
[00:04:48] you know, lot of, I
[00:04:50] mean it's a very fort kind of a situation
[00:04:54] in which different issues will come up and will be
[00:04:58] discussed. We have to remember
[00:05:01] that the UN
[00:05:05] assumes all the more importance because of
[00:05:09] of this trend of unilateralism and not
[00:05:13] really you know devaluation the
[00:05:15] UN, so in that regard we have to
[00:05:19] understand that
[00:05:20] the UN is the only truly
[00:05:24] global assembly that we
[00:05:27] can think of, it's in perfect, but
[00:05:29] you know, it's still there and very much.
[00:05:33] so our deputy prime minister and foreign minister
[00:05:37] obviously has been you know closely
[00:05:40] engaged - with multilateral
[00:05:44] process, pakistan is also
[00:05:46] a non-permanent
[00:05:48] member, do you
[00:05:52] see coming out from the agenda setting on Palestine
[00:05:56] and the Kashmir issue in this 81st general assembly
[00:06:00] meeting? definitely, you see
[00:06:03] Kashmir issue goes without saying is
[00:06:07] you know always at the top of our agenda
[00:06:11] understandably and obviously the
[00:06:14] the the palestinian issue very close to our
[00:06:18] heart and basically i
[00:06:22] think the idea is to first of all to certainly
[00:06:26] you know keep the attention the world on these
[00:06:29] issues and not let them fall by the way by the way
[00:06:33] side but also
[00:06:35] you know to sollicit views and
[00:06:38] you know and kind of lobby for the issues.
[00:06:43] because so much you know atrocities have happened,
[00:06:46] kashmir is is a you know old
[00:06:50] festiring wound like a permanent scar on the conscience
[00:06:53] of a collective conscience of mankind and and
[00:06:57] so is Palestine and Pakistan you
[00:07:01] know for Pakistan it is these are issues that
[00:07:04] you know transcend you know momentary alliances
[00:07:07] and expediences and
[00:07:10] you know the... you know
[00:07:13] temporary upsenses at least within the OIC
[00:07:17] to essentially also tackle issues with
[00:07:20] beside the the uma right now, the growing
[00:07:24] insecurity in the in the middle east, the
[00:07:28] situation
[00:07:29] you know pertaining to Iran, the so many
[00:07:33] things, I am not suggesting that these are the things that will be
[00:07:37] you know discussed very thread bear, but it's good to
[00:07:40] you know have like meeting of minds and to
[00:07:44] build
[00:07:45] you know as much of
[00:07:47] a of an agreement as possible and essentially to
[00:07:50] you know avoid bloodshed, I mean that is please remember that for
[00:07:54] Pakistan that is the highest priority, Pakistan is committed
[00:07:58] to peace, Pakistan knows from experience what the implications of
[00:08:02] war are, for us it's not a theoretical concept and
[00:08:06] we are
[00:08:07] you know extremely cognisant of
[00:08:10] you know the human misery that in. which is already
[00:08:13] you know we can see it happening right now
[00:08:17] so the the challenge is to not let it get worse because if we were
[00:08:21] to believe the media there so much being
[00:08:23] said Makka pack being tested and what
[00:08:27] will we do about the who sees and you know and the defined
[00:08:31] tone the hoossies but at the end the day
[00:08:35] muslims killing muslims i can you
[00:08:39] leave it to your imagination that this situation cannot
[00:08:43] be source of pleasure for any of us regarding, regardless of our
[00:08:47] political and sectarian differences and so we have to
[00:08:50] take it very seriously, it's not just something that okay, this is
[00:08:54] happening or okay, let's get together and invade a country or
[00:08:58] fight among ourselves, that is extremely
[00:09:01] counterproductive in in the short, medium and long
[00:09:04] term, so definitely and then
[00:09:07] you know other issues agenda, mr
[00:09:11] dar will be address. sing the security council on the on the
[00:09:15] question of artificial intelligence, and as we speak,
[00:09:18] artificial intelligence is improving
[00:09:22] by leaps and bounds and we are now looking a scenario that
[00:09:25] perhaps it will
[00:09:29] acquire you know thinking of its own
[00:09:32] ability, which is quite frankly very scary and dooms de
[00:09:36] scenarios and even the AI giants, thank
[00:09:46] earlier, Dr. Jamil Ahmed Khan, former ambassador spoke to Pakistan TV to

[00:10:55] situation, I would say, not seen in the known future, known

[00:11:05] minister. Iran has
[00:11:09] conveyed its conditions for reviving negotiations with the United States through
[00:11:13] Katari mediators, is avaiting President Donald Trump's response.

[00:11:20] consultations with Katari and Pakistani mediators are continuing as
