[00:03:54] In other words, there's no way to [00:03:56] of stop them from getting the navigation signals." [00:06:20] now there's what's called the control problem, you're [00:06:24] trying to control the orientation the warhead, and [00:06:27] every small movement out of what you really would like to [00:06:31] get causes you to maneuver, and [00:06:35] so I would say that they probably have few tens [00:06:39] of meters of accuracy at the target. which [00:06:43] is very good, especially when you're delivering a [00:06:46] warhead, the warhead, I'll show [00:06:50] you, yeah, delivers the equivalent of about a [00:06:54] 4,000 or 5,000 pound explosive at the [00:06:57] target, that's an enormous explosive [00:07:01] charge, and most the power of that [00:07:04] explosive of that explosion comes from the kinetic [00:07:08] energy of impact, in other words, this thing hits the ground so fast, [00:07:13] that it just vaporizes, [00:07:16] it's much, it's well [00:07:19] beyond, for example, it's traveling a speed well [00:07:23] beyond that the oreshnic munitions, [00:07:26] wow are hitting the ground at maybe 3 kilometers per [00:07:30] second, this thing is hitting the ground at over 4 kilometers per [00:07:34] second, now 3 kilometers per [00:07:37] second gives you the equivalent kinetic [00:07:40] energy of gives you the equivalent [00:07:44] explosive energy the weight the [00:07:47] munition in TNT, in other [00:07:50] words, all of this, this is not explosion, explosion [00:07:54] from explosive materials, it's an [00:07:58] explosion from all of this kinetic energy [00:08:01] being nearly instantaneously converted [00:08:05] to kinetic energy [00:08:08] from [00:08:11] the piece of material. hits the ground gets compressed so fast by [00:08:15] the interaction with the ground that it superheats to 500 [00:08:19] 6000 degrees kelvin temperature the sun [00:08:22] surface and that expands violently [00:08:26] outward like an explosion, it is an explosion. [00:08:29] now when it hits at 4 kilometers per [00:08:32] second, that's four kilometers divid by [00:08:36] 3 kilometers per second, so it's maybe say it's one and a half or [00:08:40] 1.6 - you square that [00:08:44] and that gives you the rough equivalent energy and tnt of [00:08:47] hitting the ground a little bit over 4 kilometers per second, which is [00:08:51] about two and a half when you do the arithmetic [00:08:54] carefully, so the weight the [00:08:57] warhead is a thousand kilogram, so it's say [00:09:01] it's 2 pounds, you get a [00:09:04] factor, so 20 lbs of just [00:09:08] non explosive material compressed. [00:09:13] turned into kinetic energy into an explosion by kinetic [00:09:17] energy impact, so that brings you up to 5,000 pounds [00:09:21] of explosive power, plus you have a couple [00:09:25] of thousand pounds of explosive material in the warhead, so [00:09:28] this thing has the power of a 5000 or 600 [00:09:32] pound explosive when it hits the ground, and it does [00:09:36] tremendous damage, and I can show you some the evidence for [00:09:40] this, Let's just look at [00:09:43] slide um two, this is the missile itself, [00:09:47] it's the alphata, and if you look to the right the [00:09:51] missile where you can see the warhead itself, you see a [00:09:54] winged vehicle uh that has [00:09:58] very very low drag, so it comes into the [00:10:01] atmosphere, it experiences [00:10:04] very minimal aerodynamic drag, and [00:10:08] if we look at slide four, [00:10:11] slide. [00:10:12] let's go, there we go, you can see that in the back of this warhead it [00:10:16] has rocket motor, see the rocket motor was in the [00:10:19] forefront, and that rocket motor is [00:10:23] able to generate... a couple of thousand pounds of [00:10:27] thrust over time intervals of 30 [00:10:31] seconds, 40 seconds, [00:10:33] you know, no problem at all, so so that's [00:10:37] during the entire time of reentry. now if we go [00:10:40] to slide six, we can actually [00:10:44] see this is one these warheads arriving in [00:10:47] Israel, that long bright [00:10:50] plum, the front the you can't see the [00:10:54] warhead, but that long bright [00:10:57] plum is the rocket motor [00:11:00] exhaust, so it is accelerating this [00:11:03] warhead to enormous speeds [00:11:06] and when that warhead hits the ground, [00:11:10] it it delivers a tremendove, [00:11:14] tremendous explosive force, you can see the whole sky [00:11:18] is lit up from the light, that's the light generated by this [00:11:21] enormously high temperatures in the... [00:11:55] how much damage one these [00:11:58] explosions can do, why don't we just go to slide [00:12:02] 13, [00:12:08] there you go, now in the lower right of [00:12:12] 13, [00:12:13] i have put in blast contours, this [00:12:17] is washington dc, the building in the [00:12:20] middle is [00:12:24] is big massive concrete and steel [00:12:27] building and to the right is a [00:12:30] neighborhood that's immediately adjacent to just regular [00:12:34] buildings. now the inner circle, [00:12:37] innermost the four circles [00:12:41] shows you the 40 pound per square [00:12:43] inch blast [00:12:46] range, the limit of it. all those [00:12:50] buildings in that circle will just be simply knocked [00:12:54] to the ground. 'the buildings will [00:12:56] be knocked to the ground, that's how intense the blast wave [00:12:59] will be, in the next outer ring, [00:13:03] the buildings will be extremely severely damaged, some them will [00:13:07] be knocked the ground, in the further ring, the [00:13:11] five pound per square inch ring, any building that's [00:13:15] wood frame or brick that's not reinforced will also be knocked to [00:13:19] the ground, and then the two pound per square inch one at the [00:13:23] outer circle would would' would knock [00:13:26] in the interior walls, might not [00:13:30] knock down the buildings at the two pound per square inch point, but the [00:13:34] interior walls of all inside the buildings [00:13:38] will be knocked out by the blast wave that's propagating through the [00:13:41] building, so this one warhead would [00:13:44] essentially eliminate this block of [00:13:48] buildings. remember the term blockbuster from [00:13:52] World War II, this is a block, [00:13:56] now if we go to [00:13:57] the next slide just to make it clear [00:14:01] what the effects of multiple warheads would [00:14:03] be. all this [00:14:06] shows is, i've just amplified the first [00:14:09] slide by putting three detation [00:14:13] areas down, and the one to the [00:14:17] left, which assume goes through the roof [00:14:21] the library of congress. [00:14:25] essentially destroy the whole library of congress, because if it [00:14:29] penetrates into the building, the shock wave will tend to be [00:14:33] contained, and the blast wave will be so intense around [00:14:37] that 40 pound per square inch point that all the internal [00:14:40] structure will be destroyed at that point, other areas the [00:14:44] structure farther away will be severely damaged, so [00:14:48] it'l look, it it'll look like the [00:14:51] building, the mirror building in, [00:14:55] Oklahoma City, if if the warhead went through the [00:14:58] roof, it would look like the damage that was [00:15:02] done to the building in in in in Oklahoma City by [00:15:06] the 1000 pound bomb or 15 thousand pound [00:15:10] bomb that was detonated in the terrorist attack in [00:15:14] Oklahoma City, this building would be gone for all [00:15:17] purposes, the uh the third [00:15:21] detonation point which is shown on on [00:15:25] upper right would destroy that other block, so you'd have [00:15:29] two blocks of regularly [00:15:32] constructed housing destroyed, plus the entire [00:15:36] library of congress. by this um these [00:15:40] three postulated warheads hitting at those aim points. [00:15:43] now think of tel aviv being subjected to [00:15:47] this. can you imagine the damage in Tel Aviv? because this has been [00:15:51] going a little while, not every warhead hitting Tel [00:15:55] Aviv is one these, here you [00:15:58] go, you're really quick, Gary, but this [00:16:02] is the kind of damage that would be done into the in the [00:16:06] interior - the [00:16:08] of library of congress from this war head that I [00:16:11] postulated hitting the library of congress, so [00:16:15] these are very severe levels of [00:16:18] damage, and this is what's been going on in in Tel [00:16:22] Aviv, and the Israelis have [00:16:24] been censoring [00:16:28] the information from these [00:16:31] attacks, but I can see why [00:16:34] Netanyahu was telling Trump at one point that he's more [00:16:38] worried about the missiles than he is about [00:16:42] nuclear weapon about the Iranian nuclear weapons, which which [00:16:46] he's on record saying at various points, [00:16:49] so so this is the kind of damage you would [00:16:52] see, the shock wave would propagate into the building [00:16:56] further, of course where the damage [00:17:00] is done it would have would have destroyed and collapsed all the floors [00:17:04] and this building is nothing you can't do with this building [00:17:08] except tear it down, it's done, [00:17:11] so this is the kind of damage we can [00:17:15] expect as the war goes on in [00:17:19] Tel Aviv and Haifa, if the Iranians start [00:17:23] attacking with Tel Aviv and Ha with Alfat [00:17:26] missiles, they will do severe levels of damage but a lower [00:17:30] level per missile if they don't use these [00:17:34] rocket accelerated warheads, but we're talking about [00:17:38] serious damage and this can go on for very [00:17:42] long time because do you have any sense for how many these [00:17:46] missiles that we think Iran has? uh, we [00:17:50] we really don't know, but hundreds them, almost [00:17:53] surely, thousands them, quite [00:17:56] possibly, so hundreds these things would do [00:18:00] tremendous damage, but if the thousands them, which we can't rule [00:18:03] out, uh, we're talking about real [00:18:07] levels of damage that's you know you [00:18:11] to tel aviv and you could you could [00:18:14] end uh the economic viability of [00:18:18] Israel by destroying there only [00:18:22] few big cities where almost all the economic activity in [00:18:26] Israel is is going on so is there [00:18:30] anything in the cumulative integrated air defense [00:18:34] system for for Israel when you're talking about the iron [00:18:37] dome day? sling uh, [00:18:39] you know [00:18:39] all the different kinds of uh facilities I have, thads, factories, [00:18:43] etc., is there anything that can defeat those missiles? [00:18:46] no, no, I think the maneuvering these [00:18:50] people, for example, sad, if it had a high [00:18:54] capability to hit targets and I doubt that, but uh, let's [00:18:58] assume it does, it [00:19:01] requires um, 30 or 40 [00:19:04] seconds to reach an intercept point from launch. [00:19:08] 'well 30 or 40 seconds a maneuvering warhead [00:19:12] only has to maneuver few meters per [00:19:15] second to be well out of range the thad warhead's ability to [00:19:19] maneuver and finally hit it, so if these [00:19:22] guys are talking about war has they see maneuvering at high altitude, the [00:19:26] game is over, fad has no chance, david sling [00:19:30] has no chance, because these higher altitude [00:19:34] interceptors take many, many [00:19:37] tens of..." seconds to reach the locations where they're going to attempt to [00:19:40] hit incoming missile, and you can't predict where [00:19:44] that location's going to be, if the missile is able to [00:19:48] maneuver, you can predict where it's going to be if it's a ballistic [00:19:51] trajectory, and you know how to predict the [00:19:55] location, because the trajectory is determined by [00:19:59] gravitation and and momentum, but you [00:20:02] don't have that [00:20:03] in the case of powered vehicle or vehicle that has wings on it. [00:20:08] that can maneuver, so the game is over [00:20:11] completely, there's no chance at all that can do anything [00:20:15] against these things, so the big fraud that's been going on for 30, [00:20:18] 35 years where they're making all these false claims about [00:20:22] capabilities is now [00:20:25] exposed, there's going to be no capability at all [00:20:29] intercept these things, so let me let ask you, let's [00:20:32] let's uh let's continue on down the path here, there was some [00:20:36] claims when when "the President Trump is claiming that we knock down all eight of those [00:20:40] missiles, there was additional reporting prior to him making [00:20:44] that statement, what's [00:20:46] that? sorry, go ahead, there was some claims before that that..." [00:20:50] there were some on the United States that said, hey, we only had minutes [00:20:54] of warning before these things get, we barely even had time to to go [00:20:57] into, uh, to go into shelters, etc., that is [00:21:01] lot less than what we had been in the past, and I wonder if you can just kind of talk a little [00:21:05] bit about uh, the presumed damage that has been done because [00:21:09] the radars that Iran has been hitting over the last couple of months [00:21:12] especially, uh, and and what, whether we're hitting [00:21:16] anything or not, it's reducing our warning. [00:22:21] working, all five the thad radars were destroyed [00:22:25] early in the war, the first fe two days the war, one day the war [00:22:29] by the Iranians, but they have taken fad radar out of [00:22:33] South Korea, and [00:22:35] I don't know if it's yet operating, and the right place to [00:22:39] put it so that it can give warning to the [00:22:43] Israeli population is is in [00:22:46] Israel, also it may be the best place to put because [00:22:50] it's far enough away that there's some chance they can [00:22:54] keep its location difficult to find, although I think [00:22:58] that's doubtful, but I think that that radar will be [00:23:01] destroyed sooner or later, because they will locate it, and once [00:23:05] they locate it, they can go after it, as they did in the first day the [00:23:09] war. so what, what is the absence the thad radars is supposed to any, and [00:23:13] are there any other similar categories of radars that [00:23:17] we can bring in that's going to give us enough knowledge? about incoming [00:23:20] missiles throughout the region, well the arrow [00:23:23] radars have some capability, they can probably [00:23:27] see objects a couple of hundred kilometers range, which would be [00:23:31] 30, you couple of [00:23:35] minutes warning, that's helpful, any [00:23:39] warning is helpful, right now without the [00:23:41] radars, what the Israelis [00:23:45] know is that there's going to be attack few minutes before [00:23:49] it happens, because um [00:23:52] they uh uh the the satellites [00:23:55] in space can tell them there's been a launch [00:23:59] against Israel, you can't tell them where the [00:24:03] impacts are going to be, so if you're in televiv you don't [00:24:06] know it's tel aviv and if you're in Hyfa you don't know [00:24:10] it's hyfa, but you know a couple of minutes something could [00:24:14] happen, so that's what the Israelis are probably [00:24:18] complaining about now. 'when they had the [00:24:21] radars, they could know that [00:24:24] yes, ha is about to be hit, and you might [00:24:28] have two or three minutes [00:24:30] of of warning from the [00:24:34] radar, because you could see it far enough away to know to take [00:24:38] shelter, so so you know it's it's in [00:24:41] your city, henus, let's say, and you know you have two or three minutes [00:24:45] to get to a shelter, which is not a lot of time, but is [00:24:48] adequate'. so um uh so that's [00:24:52] a much better situation than [00:24:56] knowing there was a launch and sometime in the [00:25:00] next 10 minutes or so uh you [00:25:03] know um there's [00:25:07] a warhead that might explode in your city [00:25:11] near you or maybe in Haifa or maybe beer Shiva you [00:25:15] don't know so everyone has to take shelter all across the country so [00:25:19] that's much... more disruptive than when [00:25:22] you know it's coming two or three minutes from now in your [00:25:26] area, [00:25:28] so that's the situation you have without the radars. apparently [00:25:31] the commander of central command, admiral [00:25:34] cooper is suggesting that President Trump try and [00:25:38] change the war one more time, but this time with another two-week [00:25:42] campaign, but just heavy your bombs, one the things that really stood out to me [00:25:46] and I really like your view on this is the Cooper argued in [00:25:50] favor of stepping up attacks to completely diminish Iran's missile [00:25:54] capabilities uh according to NBC, [00:25:57] the uh go big approach he said would diminish would minimize [00:26:01] the US's need for the use of defensive munition since there would be less [00:26:05] incoming fire uh from Iran, but I [00:26:09] still keep going back to uh this [00:26:12] um, because look, I heavier bombing, do do [00:26:16] we have anything that's going to get through this stuff that's going to knock the out that we didn't in the [00:26:20] first 40 days or the second 13, well I don't know what he's [00:26:24] talking about, I mean uh, and I i think he doesn't know [00:26:28] what he's talking about too, because what kinds [00:26:32] of... bombs is he talking about, mean it's ridiculous, the [00:26:36] bombs that uh that we have [00:26:39] cannot penetrate close to the depths that you need in order to [00:26:43] get at these under under mountain targets, [00:26:47] the um we do have penetrating bombs that [00:26:51] may be able to get at tunnels because the're [00:26:55] tunnels that are just built in the desert open desert [00:26:58] areas uh but you don't know where the tunnels are.
