[00:00:47] of [00:01:03] in [00:01:04] of [00:01:06] of [00:01:14] Hi, welcome of [00:01:15] of everyone. Iran's foreign ministry, it says a deal with Oman a route [00:01:19] to Australiahormose is in the final stages, but US and Israel still [00:01:23] pose a danger to ships in this very vital waterway. [00:01:27] Spokesperson Ismail [00:01:28] in Bagai has said [00:01:29] in a agreement between Iran and Oman a shipping route through [00:01:33] this waterway, it does not automatically guarantee safe passage [00:01:37] or [00:01:37] a reopening, warning [00:01:38] of US military action in the region could still undermine security. He also [00:01:42] cited US has declared naval blockade on Iran and other quote [00:01:46] aggressive and threatening actions against Iran and its interests and [00:01:49] quote, Iran and Oman's pending announcement on Austrada Hormosa's [00:01:53] new management regime challenges from third party obstruction and [00:01:57] threats and what this all means for the future of regional. ability is [00:02:01] focus of our spotlight program and now for your [00:02:03] guests [00:02:08] is a mr uh ali ham [00:02:11] military and strategic affairs analyst joining us out of [00:02:15] of south lebanon and mr clive menz is [00:02:19] a researcher and commentator joining us from [00:02:22] london. hello gents, pleasure to have you both join us on the program. guess [00:02:26] we'll start out there in London with you, Mr. Mensis, your thoughts on the... [00:02:30] ongoing negotiations between Iran and Oman regarding [00:02:33] future operations, arrangements for straight hormoson and how it [00:02:37] may seem logical to many, yet [00:02:40] unbearable and unacceptable to the US and its [00:02:43] friends. Well, I think we've [00:02:46] been here many times [00:02:48] of before, in various guises [00:02:51] where there is a [00:02:52] tantalizing appeal of some sort [00:02:56] of settlement that is going to say the oil price. is first [00:03:00] and foremost um, but as we know [00:03:04] of there've [00:03:04] been sires and agreements [00:03:08] which have driven the oil price price down again, [00:03:12] and then there's been a lot of insider trading, trading, [00:03:16] probably associated with the US [00:03:19] of administration of and Israel, that is [00:03:22] then um taken advantage [00:03:26] of the [00:03:26] of the price move and and then started hostility. cities [00:03:30] again, as you pointed out in your introduction, the [00:03:34] fact that there is an agreement between Iran and [00:03:37] Oman um is a good thing [00:03:40] in a way, but that is not really the issue, the issue [00:03:44] is [00:03:44] of how are the other parties going to react, um, [00:03:48] there's i saw briefly there was an [00:03:51] of attack on an Indian tanker, not in the straight of [00:03:55] mousse, but clearly the situation is volatile everywhere [00:03:59] ' "the thing is that Israel and the US [00:04:03] seem intent on pursuing their current [00:04:07] course, in Israel's case it seems to be a course of [00:04:10] self-destruction and in the US's case um [00:04:14] its military supremacy is clearly [00:04:17] of been um [00:04:18] of eclipsed [00:04:19] of as not what they claim to be, um, I'm sure you're [00:04:23] aware as I am, the [00:04:25] a number of missiles they've they've used and how their [00:04:29] of stop pile of weapons." is diminishing um, so [00:04:32] I'm not sure where this where this gets us to from here [00:04:36] on, but certainly the countries in the [00:04:40] region, Oman, Saudi, [00:04:42] of Kuwait and other gulf nations are [00:04:45] in a difficult position where that they are clearly to [00:04:49] some degree beholden [00:04:50] a to Israel, as are many countries, not least through their [00:04:54] infrastructure and um information [00:04:58] technology ' which which is something [00:05:02] of a blackmail lever, but [00:05:05] they they would clearly prefer [00:05:10] of to come to an [00:05:11] of agreement with Iran if they... can uh, but they're being pulled in [00:05:14] two directions, so I don't think it's possible to predict with any [00:05:18] certainty what what happens from here on? great [00:05:22] opening statements there, thank you Clive and Aliham, thanks for your patience and welcome to our [00:05:26] discussion here, pal, always a pleasure to have you check in with us, Ali [00:05:29] now your initial take on Iran and Oman sitting down for these discussions, which [00:05:33] I should uh add clarify for our viewers, they're [00:05:37] nothing new, they began in the very first days following the Iran [00:05:40] a US seas far. back on April 8th, so they [00:05:44] going on for a couple months now, and they've actually entered a more [00:05:47] serious phase after the June 18th agreement known as the [00:05:51] Apakistan mediated memorandum of [00:05:53] understanding. Greetings to you, to your guest [00:05:57] and all the viewers, starting this to [00:06:01] see it from different dimensions. Well, first [00:06:05] of all, according to the international law, we have so [00:06:09] many treaties going on in the world. [00:06:13] from Dofor to Montre [00:06:16] to Jabaltar to Suas Canal, [00:06:20] bosford [00:06:20] the Neil and so many others are there is some kind [00:06:24] of treaties and agreements under the [00:06:28] international law and we see [00:06:31] that they are getting fees under [00:06:34] what so called service [00:06:37] charge and I believe they [00:06:41] Oman and have the right [00:06:45] to to get so [00:06:48] such agreements between both them in order to [00:06:52] get what so called service charge, so this is [00:06:56] from one point, from the other point we can see if there is [00:06:59] no American pressure on the [00:07:02] Gulf states and the Gulf states will [00:07:06] put pressure on Oman not to go all the way [00:07:10] along with the Iranian. benefits and [00:07:14] Omani's benefits, [00:07:16] from the legal point of view, [00:07:20] we can see we are talking about two coastal [00:07:24] countries, Oman and Iran, and the intervention coming [00:07:28] from 8 thous mile miles [00:07:31] away to interfere and who has right to [00:07:35] do on his own water or [00:07:38] land legal [00:07:41] right? so I believe if we take it [00:07:45] from all those dimensions, Iran and [00:07:49] will get to a certain treaty, what whatever [00:07:53] they want to call it, they will call it, as I said service [00:07:56] charge or let's say a transit [00:08:00] fees or so on, but there is another thing that it [00:08:04] should be taken right now [00:08:07] and you know under [00:08:10] what the minister foreign affairs, the Iranian [00:08:14] minister of foreign affairs said that the straight of hormos is [00:08:18] open during peace time and it is closed [00:08:22] during war time, so times, so you have [00:08:25] to choose, he he's talking about the his talking with the [00:08:29] American and he's talking with the whole world, if you want this [00:08:33] straight of hormos to be open and normal, so [00:08:37] it must bring, you must bring peace to this [00:08:40] area and... f: do you think the US [00:08:43] seeing um Iran and Oman too empowered [00:08:47] uh by exercising their sovereignty and establishing this management [00:08:51] system that they feel uh at least with with Iran you saw how they [00:08:54] extended how Iran extended the leverage the Strater Hormos to protect the [00:08:58] people of Lebanon how it gas stations [00:09:02] in California people paying [00:09:04] an access of six to seven dollars a gallon for gas and for our international [00:09:07] viewers that might not know what a gallon of gas that's about what four to five [00:09:11] liters of [00:09:12] of uh gasoline so uh uh most of America was paying over [00:09:16] four between [00:09:17] four and $5 a gallon uh some states over six [00:09:21] or seven dollars a gallon um do you think that that heads in [00:09:25] a DC especially in the Trump cabinet not to mention how much a blowback Hexith got [00:09:29] in front the the appropriations committee in front the senate with respect to rising gas [00:09:33] prices, energy costs, how much you think uh that contributed to [00:09:37] Trump saying forget about the mou, we got to take somehow take a [00:09:41] control the street hormos. away from the [00:09:42] Iranians? um, [00:09:45] well, clearly that is, that may be an [00:09:49] ambition, but um, that doesn't seem [00:09:52] possible, in the context of what we've seen over the last few [00:09:56] months, America doesn't have the way with all to do [00:09:59] that. um, I think we need to make [00:10:03] distinct distinction between those [00:10:07] who are ostensibly in power, [00:10:10] but not really, because there aren't... are answerable to much [00:10:14] higher authority that that is pulling the strings, [00:10:18] um, is the American government acting in the [00:10:22] interest the American people, undoubtedly? [00:10:25] it isn't otherwise this would never have started, [00:10:28] so in many respects what is going on [00:10:32] is one but one component the war on us [00:10:35] all, this is this is the structure it [00:10:39] in its death throats that is conducting a [00:10:42] war across the globe against [00:10:45] people, people of of Europe, people the [00:10:49] UK, people the us and and people globally [00:10:53] um and the structure has no... interest in reaching [00:10:56] satisfactory deals and those that are [00:10:59] ostensibly in power are occurring more [00:11:03] well to insider trading and various [00:11:06] deals, I mean there's a great land grab [00:11:10] going on across across Gaza, [00:11:13] Lebanon and beyond, [00:11:16] um, the thing is in chaos, [00:11:19] but um, nobody is really in control, they're responding to the [00:11:23] incentives. 'um, but the [00:11:27] they're now almost a position where they've gone so far, [00:11:31] they have very little to lose by continuing the [00:11:34] chaos. um, the only hope that we have is [00:11:38] that the the populations the various countries [00:11:42] withdraw all support, all cooperation and compliance with [00:11:46] their governments, because this is obviously [00:11:49] very visible and destructive [00:11:52] and horrific ' situation with the [00:11:56] number of deaths that occurring in the middle [00:11:58] east, but there is a war going on [00:12:02] domestically across Europe, UK and the [00:12:05] US, and so it's really [00:12:09] up to people to realize that in the main their governments are [00:12:13] not acting in their interests, but they're playing the game with [00:12:16] geopolitics and they seem to have no alternative [00:12:20] but to keep doing what they're doing, otherwise we would have we wouldn't have got [00:12:24] into. this situation and Ali, I'd like to [00:12:28] also have you a way in on that, because Iran never exercised its [00:12:32] control or leverage, you very well know pre February uh 28th [00:12:36] until its leader, until its top commanders, its political elite, [00:12:40] its teachers, its students, families, infrastructure, we're all targeted [00:12:44] by the US and Israel, and now it does not want to hold global [00:12:47] energy in um, as hostage, you very well know, it just wants to [00:12:51] deter future attacks against this aggression or aggression against the country, so [00:12:55] "in essence, the US opposing this new management system by [00:12:59] Moscot and Tehran would only do it why? I mean if [00:13:02] Iran is willing [00:13:02] to establish a system that will streamline and allow full [00:13:05] navigation to conclude and transpire [00:13:09] through the straight, no one should object, unless they have more [00:13:13] machinations, plots and plans for future attacks against Iran. I don't [00:13:16] want to see Iran with that deterrance capacity. [00:13:20] Well, let's see what's the outcome for United State and what's the [00:13:24] benefit." of united state if the strate of horm [00:13:28] was kept closed or [00:13:31] blocked, what's the interest of unite of united state [00:13:35] and what's the benefit of united state if to continue [00:13:38] such such war against and aggression [00:13:42] against the Iranian on behalf the Israelis [00:13:45] and also where is maga, where is america [00:13:49] first, they it comes out that it w you know [00:13:53] i had some i have so many... plans in United States and they are [00:13:57] journalist, they are telling me [00:13:59] that the Israel is not a [00:14:02] burden on the United State government or [00:14:06] administration anymore, it's a it's burdened on [00:14:10] the American people, and what you have said that [00:14:14] one gallon of gasoline in some states is [00:14:17] over 4 [00:14:19] dollars and other states more than eight dollars per [00:14:22] gallon, the... American are paying [00:14:26] extra money on gasoline every month [00:14:30] for every individual, more than 300 dollars [00:14:33] and this is big amount for the [00:14:37] American to spend on something they could buy a [00:14:41] car, it will be like paying back mortgages on [00:14:45] their cars or on a house or so for 300 [00:14:49] or to $100 at least, so I believe [00:14:53] what's going on, I think there is... a big economic [00:14:56] crise or crisis coming up to [00:15:00] United States all because the United State wants to [00:15:04] protect the Israelis and the superiority their [00:15:07] security and not to protect Israel but [00:15:11] because Israel is protected by the some Arab [00:15:14] countries geographically [00:15:17] and let's say some [00:15:21] kind of strategy deep strategy geographically and [00:15:25] politically and also economically, because we can see [00:15:28] some state of [00:15:31] normalizations in in the region, they are protecting Israel, they are [00:15:34] supporting Israel, and they are also... participating with the [00:15:38] Israel is against Palestinian and Lebanese, I'm talking military [00:15:42] wise, the problem is right now is why [00:15:45] United States should spend from 2001 to [00:15:48] 2023 or 24 more than [00:15:52] 13 trillion dollar to protect the Israeli [00:15:55] superiority in the region, what's what's for, if [00:15:59] United State were was before attacking [00:16:03] Iran, dominating or [00:16:06] controlling. the oil [00:16:09] export from [00:16:12] Persian Gulf states, I'm talking about the [00:16:16] Arab states, and they were free [00:16:20] to go and to pass through [00:16:24] straight of hormos [00:16:25] or Babel Mandab freely, there was not, there was [00:16:29] nothing against them to to be free [00:16:33] in in the water ways, so for what? [00:16:38] "if it comes to the American interest, the American interest [00:16:41] is blown up by the Israelis protection [00:16:45] and the the American strategy is [00:16:48] spontaneous as we see it up to [00:16:51] now, usually usually we see on the [00:16:55] past [00:16:55] that the American strategy they have plan a, plan b, plan c, plan [00:16:59] d, whatsoever, and when they can go back to plan [00:17:03] A, they will do it if it's possible now the..." [00:17:07] United States has used all the plans from A to [00:17:11] Z against Iran and nothing changed, so what they [00:17:15] should do if they are grapped by the neck, [00:17:19] Iran is grapping them by the neck economically, and [00:17:22] still the big explosion not come yet, [00:17:26] because if only the [00:17:30] American and the Israelis and the Saudis are not [00:17:33] allowed to either by Babel Mandab or straight of. almost [00:17:37] to pass, so what's gonna happen if the petrol dollar [00:17:41] will change, will switch to petro [00:17:45] yan, then it will be a big [00:17:48] step - deep in the heart [00:17:52] the united state economy, so I believe right now they should [00:17:56] change and they cannot refill their [00:18:00] strategic reserve of oil which is like [00:18:03] more than 400 million barrel and I [00:18:07] believe they they need more time for that, but [00:18:11] this is all connected to the 14 points that been [00:18:15] agreed upon on Islam in Islamabad, and the first [00:18:19] one is open straight of hormos [00:18:22] against the stopping war and withdrawal the [00:18:26] Israeli enemy from South Lebanon, this is didn't [00:18:29] happen, so and I think the Iranian will [00:18:32] still stubborn in such poem and the straight of [00:18:36] hormones. will be kept closed or [00:18:40] blocked until the American will [00:18:43] let Lebanon free [00:18:47] from the the [00:18:50] K9 or from the Israeli [00:18:53] aggression against it and then the state of hormones [00:18:57] will be opened and after that we will have another 60 [00:19:00] days to to have negotiations over [00:19:04] the nuclear program only nuclear. program [00:19:08] only, not the percentage of enrichment, only [00:19:12] how to to manage it, that's it, and that's [00:19:16] what the Iranian has put on the table, the American [00:19:19] still trying from to z again all [00:19:23] their plans and they come in with the [00:19:27] same results out the Iranian, because the Iranian [00:19:31] has much, they have much more [00:19:35] power or much more powerful. in in [00:19:38] strategy, in geography and in the logistic ways [00:19:42] against the United States in the region. a great take the very [00:19:45] comprehensive analysis. thank you, ali and clive, thanks for your patience their [00:19:49] pal. okay, so the Iranian president position just other day said the [00:19:53] mou is still there anytime the US wants to go back and get committed [00:19:57] to it, and it was to at least point goingna lay a [00:20:00] 60-day period for diplomatic solution to find an [00:20:04] end to aggression against the country that so far failed to... bear the [00:20:08] fruits the US and Israelies wanted to see and there's no uh uh [00:20:11] guarantee that continued or protracted aggression is ever going to reach [00:20:15] us's objectives when it comes to Iran so and it's also no secret [00:20:18] Clive that Iran is using the straight to protect its people and its [00:20:22] allies in the region and by opposing this I mean the US is [00:20:26] proporting it's opposing this because uh Iran's leverage over [00:20:30] or a management system over the straight of hormose uh because it wants to [00:20:34] protect international shipping but many uh critics feel no It wants to [00:20:38] obstruct any deterrance Iran has to protect itself against [00:20:41] future US and Israeli [00:20:43] aggression. Well, there is much [00:20:46] bigger context to this in terms the... [00:20:50] economic system um which [00:20:53] runs on money basically uh [00:20:56] and that that system inevitably needs the [00:21:00] reset and in 2008 there was not a reset all [00:21:04] the debt that was driven up by banks and other [00:21:08] financial player was socialized so we paying for it [00:21:12] ever since um and this economic collapse [00:21:16] is unfolding irrespective of what's happening in the oil world. [00:21:20] um basically that the system works on the basis [00:21:23] of people having the wear with all to buy goods [00:21:27] and services for which they pay money, [00:21:31] but the the increasing robotization, [00:21:34] automation, AI, all these things are reducing the [00:21:38] need for labor, so this this system, this structure that we've [00:21:42] lived on under for some 3,000 years is [00:21:46] now coming to the end of its useful life ' [00:21:50] and it's this is not the place to go into it, but an alternative is [00:21:54] rising, but on the question the war, the reason that the [00:21:58] war card is being played and there is no [00:22:01] willingness on behalf the US, Israel and the [00:22:05] other players to actually make peace, is that they are being forced [00:22:09] into a position to play the war card, because they know [00:22:13] that the game is up as far as a global economy is [00:22:16] concerned, so we're we're a situation where the... have no [00:22:20] choice but to keep doing what they're doing, which is why I say [00:22:24] the power has to come from the people of America, your [00:22:28] other guess mentioned maga make America great [00:22:32] again, um, basically the whole maga movement was a [00:22:35] big smoke screen for actually making [00:22:38] America less great than it ever was, in fact [00:22:42] destroying America as it was understood to [00:22:46] be, so this is perpetual. [00:22:50] war is something that has been going on since [00:22:52] 2001, is partially to distract, [00:22:56] it's to increase surveillance, increase control, but they're [00:23:00] losing control, individuals around the [00:23:03] world are, particularly [00:23:05] in Europe, the US and the UK [00:23:09] are taking les and less interest in their government in [00:23:13] terms of compliance, and [00:23:17] the they're making other arrangements, so... so the problem [00:23:20] is that we have economic collapse which is in progress, it's [00:23:24] like slow-motion train crash which is [00:23:27] accelerating, and they seem to have other [00:23:30] choice but to keep continuing, continuing [00:23:34] wars, not just in in the middle east, but we've got similar [00:23:38] problems between Pakistan and [00:23:42] India in Kashmir uh and [00:23:45] elsewhere, um, so war is, war [00:23:49] is something... that is always used to distract people from what's really [00:23:53] going on in terms the way people are being [00:23:56] abused and causing causing self [00:23:59] abuse merely to survive, but that period is coming to an [00:24:03] end and we're in the midst of a paradigm shift and this [00:24:07] war like many the other madness that is going on [00:24:11] at the moment are indicative of a transition to something [00:24:15] new, don't have [00:24:18] any choice in what? they do, because that's all they [00:24:22] know. splendid, gentlemen, it was a pleasure having you both on, time has gotten the [00:24:26] better of us and thank you sincerely to both you for joining us on our spotlight [00:24:29] program, mr. ali ham joining us out of south lebanon and mr. clive [00:24:33] menzi, joining us from london, and viewers this brings us the conclusion of another [00:24:37] segment of your spotlight program. thank you for tuning in and goodbye for [00:24:40] now. [00:25:08] janf is a word you've been hearing a lot in Iran and as it concerned this [00:25:12] war it means something very important, of course there are no English word [00:25:16] for it, but John means life and f means [00:25:20] sacrifice, so put together, it means someone who is ready [00:25:23] sacrifice for something they love. husband says it to his [00:25:27] wife, mother says it's to a child, and people say [00:25:31] it's to the country when it is under [00:25:33] attack. [00:25:48] and now the 31 million. people who are registered are being trained [00:25:52] right here behind me to defend your country, when they say john [00:25:55] fadol, for them it's not just world, it is actually action, and as [00:25:59] you can see one very interesting thing that we've been seen is that... lot of people who [00:26:03] came for training are women, which is in direct [00:26:06] contradiction to what the mainstream media told us about Iranian [00:26:10] women being dominated, being weak, being [00:26:13] oppressed, but the women here saying just like their [00:26:17] men, they don't like way break, oh my [00:26:20] god, [00:26:26] learn [00:26:26] something. [00:26:45] and Iranians have said just as they have been able to [00:26:48] protect their country while it was being sanctioned economically and they [00:26:52] protected their country with their presence when it was being targeted or being [00:26:56] threatened, they're also willing and ready sacrifice for their [00:27:00] country now that [00:27:02] it is und attacked and 31 million people are already [00:27:05] registered as the time of record in this video, 31 [00:27:09] million people, that is the combined number of countries of [00:27:13] Qatar, Oman and other countries together, [00:27:17] 31 million people ready to defend your [00:27:20] country. [00:29:53] Press TV headlines Iran's acting defense minister, brigadeer [00:29:56] general Majid Ibn Riza says a country's armed [00:30:00] forces are ready to respond to anything.
