[00:00:20] Donald Trump's vow to lower the prices, boost factory jobs and [00:00:24] improved life for the middle class as yet to materialize [00:00:27] in with the midterm elections a little more than three months away, the [00:00:31] economy has also stalled in many [00:00:33] of of the areas where Donald Trump said that mass deportations of [00:00:37] undocumented people and higher import taxes would trigger [00:00:41] a boom with the US in his rudy war against Iran [00:00:44] intensifying some key [00:00:49] of rests. [00:00:53] of [00:01:22] of [00:01:29] The first eight. 15 months of President Donald Trump's second term and the [00:01:33] White House have seen a series of policy driven economic [00:01:37] shocks, highlighted by higher tariffs that he promised [00:01:40] during his 2024 presidential campaign an [00:01:44] unanticipated war with Iran that has boosted the price of [00:01:47] oil and threatened global supply [00:01:51] of chains. [00:01:55] of of Coming up in today's program, Donald Trump's economics, [00:01:58] 18 months point. Trump's economic policies have been a [00:02:02] whirlwind of ups and downs from inflation which has been [00:02:05] increasing to factory jobs, which has been decreasing. Our [00:02:09] second headline: tariffs, war and economic shocks. [00:02:13] What has Donald Trump [00:02:14] of done to the economy? The question should be, what hasn't he done? From [00:02:18] tariffs economic shocks to the Iran war, he has pretty much [00:02:22] covered the entire gammit, unpopular war and [00:02:26] economic [00:02:27] of downturn, but the illegal aggression of... on Iran has caused the [00:02:31] of US econom a lot leading to economic downturn which [00:02:35] is evident in the lower than expected economic [00:02:39] output or the GDP. We're going to be [00:02:41] of discussing of those points [00:02:42] of and a whole lot more with our guests right here, Nick Cruz, Writer, [00:02:45] Activist and co-founder of Revolutionary Blackout [00:02:49] Network and Dr. Matias [00:02:52] Vernango, full professor of Buchnel [00:02:58] of of University. [00:03:31] of [00:03:47] of [00:04:06] Donald Trump, he couldn't give, he couldn't care about the American people any [00:04:10] less than he does, he promised that he was going to address [00:04:14] uh the problems of inflation and the [00:04:17] of economy, meanwile he's bragging about how he's been the best [00:04:21] president that Idra has ever had, he even [00:04:25] mocked the pain that the American people was [00:04:28] of [00:04:28] of in feeling during the... inflation crisis by saying it was [00:04:32] inflation crisis [00:04:33] hopes. [00:04:39] so he don't care about the American people. the only thing he cares about is [00:04:43] dividing the American people by pushing culture wars and [00:04:45] division and doing the [00:04:48] of agenda [00:04:48] of the zionist regime [00:04:50] in and promoting endless wars. as the American people are [00:04:53] suffering, they are expanding the United States military. [00:04:56] you cannot pass [00:04:57] of a audit, by the way, they're expanding the... budget to [00:05:00] $1.5 trillion dollars as the American people [00:05:04] struggled eat as their call their life continues to drop. this [00:05:08] is what we seen throughout the ruling class mean times before the promising to take care [00:05:12] of the America. people but abandon them the second day take [00:05:14] power. [00:05:21] It has been exactly one year since President Donald Trump signed the [00:05:25] one big beautiful bill act. When it comes to income, the trend has [00:05:29] continued in the US and Donald Trump's policies are no [00:05:32] exceptions. Incomes for the wealthy and highest earners [00:05:36] prosper while lower and middle income households [00:05:40] fair less well. The net worth. the top 1% [00:05:44] grew 30% over the past three years, the middle [00:05:47] 40% grew by less than 10% over that [00:05:51] same [00:05:51] period. [00:06:27] people have been predicting a massive economic downturn for very long [00:06:30] time and Donald Trump's mismanagement is making things even [00:06:34] worse, but to be clear, this is bipartisan [00:06:37] failure of neoliberalism in the west uh [00:06:41] that has been a problem even before Donald Trump took office, [00:06:45] the result of failed neoliberal policies that promotes [00:06:49] giant police states, giant authoritarian military [00:06:52] budgets has led to the top 1% in the United [00:06:56] States, owning more wealth than the bottom [00:06:59] 90%. [00:07:04] We have over 60% of Americans who live paycheck to [00:07:07] paycheck, we have one out of five children in America who live in [00:07:11] poverty and face. insecurity, that's why they [00:07:14] spend lot of money promoting uh propaganda and hollywood [00:07:18] and on tv shows to promote the image of American living [00:07:22] a fancy um very [00:07:26] well-lavished life, but the reality of Americans is one [00:07:30] of suffering due to capitalist mismanagement, our [00:07:33] infrastructure is even falling apart, but instead of fixing that, once again [00:07:37] the focus of Donald Trump and the entirety the United States Congress [00:07:41] is just to provide. money for never-ending wars, providing billions of [00:07:45] dollars to Ukraine and billions of dollars to the state of [00:07:47] visual. [00:08:09] This is the social section the program, I can't. believe this is [00:08:13] a real video and not AI. Donald Trump says America can't afford [00:08:17] to take care of Americans medicare and day care, but he [00:08:21] can find well over $3.1 billion dollars every year [00:08:25] to send to Israel, another 1776 is needed [00:08:29] in America, because the United States can't take care [00:08:33] of daycare, that has to be up to a state. [00:08:37] We can't take care of daycare, we're a big country, we have 50 states, we have all [00:08:41] these other people, we're... [00:09:13] Donald Trump's administration is ending medicare part d [00:09:17] subsidies, raising prescription drug costs for [00:09:20] more than 11 million Americans. You can't afford [00:09:24] rent, you can't afford groceries, you can't afford to get [00:09:27] sick, they found a billion dollars a day to for [00:09:31] bombs. The money exists, they just decided you don't deserve [00:09:35] it. Promises made, [00:09:38] promises broken in the minds the American public. [00:09:42] 4%, 38% said they make them worse off back in October of [00:09:46] 2024. Look at these numbers now, oh my goodness, [00:09:50] John shaking his head off on the side, now 58%, [00:09:54] nearly three in five voters say that Trump is making them financially [00:09:58] worse off, that's up like rocket, the better off down through [00:10:02] the floor a lake Michigan, these are absolutely [00:10:05] devastating numbers, the issue that got Trump [00:10:08] reelected, now the voters absolutely turn against Donald Trump. [00:10:12] says we have an amazing economy, really 60% of our [00:10:16] people live paycheck to paycheck, 85 million [00:10:19] are uninsured or underinsured, more than [00:10:23] 750, people are homeless, the price of [00:10:27] groceries is through the roof. if this is amazing then [00:10:31] god help [00:10:31] us. [00:11:37] the economy in some ways, [00:11:40] structural things have not been doing well for a long while preceeds [00:11:44] trump, in fact it is the poor performance the [00:11:47] economy that explains why trump uh [00:11:51] is in the presidency and and not just this time 2016. and what not, [00:11:55] so for working class Americans, it's [00:11:59] been four decades since the economy sort [00:12:02] of uh really showed significant improvement [00:12:06] for for [00:12:06] them. [00:12:12] in the very short term, the American economy was already slowing down uh [00:12:16] coming out the pandemic because the stimulus the pandemic was [00:12:20] coming down, so the the economy has slowed down and and [00:12:23] Trump has not helped. that so so the the [00:12:27] economy is growing which is not terrible at about [00:12:30] 2% uh slightly more i think the first quarter but now [00:12:34] that's the average by by european standards is actually pretty decent the [00:12:38] unemployment rate in united states is low 4.2%. [00:12:42] however that doesn't mean that the situation in the labor market is good so that [00:12:46] camouflages the situation in the labor market that it's much worse [00:12:50] uh with people that yeah don't get enough [00:12:54] work and are discouraged and are out the labor force and so on and so [00:12:58] forth, so so those are significant problems uh, [00:13:02] but again those problems have been there for a [00:13:04] while. [00:13:49] first manufacturing for those that thought that just uh [00:13:53] hiking tariffs and have been problematic, part them have been [00:13:57] sort of repudiated by the supreme [00:14:00] court, although he has reimposed [00:14:04] tariffs again, but the average tariffs did go [00:14:07] up and and the tariffs many thought [00:14:11] including the labor movement in united states, people that were for tariffs [00:14:14] in the among unions and and [00:14:18] and what not, they did not bring back [00:14:22] manufacturing jobs, so manufacturing jobs require... more than just tariffs, they [00:14:26] require you industrial policy, [00:14:29] incentives, national [00:14:33] strategy, things that if [00:14:36] anything with the [00:14:40] election of Trump and and the end the Biden government have [00:14:43] become less organized, so so there was more of a [00:14:47] preoccupation of bringing some manufacturing jobs i think a more coherent way [00:14:51] with the Biden administration. [00:14:57] "the prospects for the future, I think depend [00:14:59] incredibly on what policy choices are [00:15:03] made, and the war in Iran is a complicated sort of thing, because on the one [00:15:07] hand, the war in Iran has, as I said, in the first question [00:15:10] accelerated inflation, and that implies that the Fed might [00:15:14] keep interest rates, if if not highed interest rate, at least maintain [00:15:18] interest rate, a level that it's relatively high, and that creates problems, [00:15:21] because you lot the consumption depends on on. on [00:15:25] credit and interest rates are high, the housing market, that's [00:15:29] the most important mechanism, the housing market heavily depends [00:15:32] on on credit and mortgage rates and mortgage rates remain [00:15:36] ra relatively high, so so that is something that points [00:15:40] to a weakness in the American [00:15:41] economy. [00:16:09] This is the info news section the program, AI bubble [00:16:13] burst. The AI bubble is bursting, don't get muld. The [00:16:16] AI hardware and semiconductor sector has experienced a [00:16:20] sharp correction, despite recent volatility. The AI bubble [00:16:24] has not peaked. Our special investigation revealed this one [00:16:28] example, that South Korea's stock market, it has [00:16:32] plunged as AI driven boom fades. South Korean [00:16:35] stocks have dropped for a... second consecutive session with sols [00:16:39] equity market losing about $2.18 trillion [00:16:43] dollars in value, poverty in Italy. [00:16:47] Council of Europe sounds the alarm: one in seven [00:16:51] children in Italy lives in absolute [00:16:54] poverty. The situation is particularly prevalent in the [00:16:58] south in outlying areas and in the most disadvantage [00:17:02] urban neighborhoods, affecting single parent families and those [00:17:06] with more than children in [00:17:08] particular. Donald Trump's tariffs, they [00:17:12] are sending some companies back to China. For some [00:17:16] US brands seeking a location for their factories, the economic [00:17:20] logic is once again pointing to [00:17:23] China. US LNG sales, Washington's [00:17:27] tap war strategy constrains oil and gas [00:17:30] rivals to elevate American LNG. This indicates that [00:17:34] Washington is pursuing the top war strategy. a calculated [00:17:38] effort to limit competing oil and gas [00:17:41] sources so that the higher cost US shall gas and [00:17:45] LNG can meet global [00:17:47] demand. [00:18:18] This is the in-depth section the program. Donald Trump's economic performance [00:18:22] during the past 18 months leaves lot to be [00:18:25] desired. Main street USA is saying it, economists are saying [00:18:29] it, economic data for the most part is saying it, and so [00:18:33] are US politicians from both sides the isle. [00:18:43] In our presentation for this part, we will look at some [00:18:47] senior US politicians like Senator Brian Shatz, Chuck Schumer [00:18:51] and Bernie Sanders. We will also look at an example of [00:18:55] US economic data that is hurting millions of Americans, and that [00:18:59] is the mortgage rates. First, let's see what Brian [00:19:02] Shatz has to say about the US [00:19:05] economy. "there's a lot going on in the [00:19:09] world, gas is about $4 nationally, [00:19:13] Hawaii, it's about [00:19:14] 550, um, people can't afford [00:19:18] their healthcare, people can't afford their groceries, and senator [00:19:21] Clobasar said it exactly right, this is about priorities, this is about [00:19:25] giving $70 billion dollars more money to Ice [00:19:29] than the United States Marine Core, what the senator [00:19:33] there is saying is that regular people can't afford..." [00:19:37] their lives anymore, they can't afford to put food on [00:19:41] the table, they can't afford their electricity bells, they [00:19:45] can't afford to put gas in the tank, they can't [00:19:48] afford their health insurance, the numbers are here for [00:19:52] you to see, check out the price of beef as an example, [00:19:56] to have increased almost 20% right here, more in major cities [00:19:59] across the US as well, electric bills, another example [00:20:03] of 30%, all these price increases [00:20:07] subtract from the ability of US [00:20:11] consumers purchasing power. now let's uh [00:20:14] look at what's US senator Chuck Schumer has to say [00:20:18] about the most recent GDP numbers, which was quite [00:20:22] disappointing to say to least. well, Mr. President, [00:20:26] today, the disastrous Trump economy delivered [00:20:30] another one to gut punch to the American [00:20:34] people. growth is down, cost. [00:20:38] "the American people don't need government reports and economists [00:20:41] to tell them how sluggish Trump's economy is or how high [00:20:45] costs [00:20:47] are americans see [00:20:47] it at the gas pump they [00:20:48] see it [00:20:48] at the grocery store they" whenever they pay the rent or for heating or for [00:20:52] electricity. Trump and Trump on the other hand has [00:20:56] no clue just how deep in the dumps his economy [00:21:00] is. Truck Schumer absolutely torches Donald [00:21:03] Trump after 1.5% GDP growth. 2022 [00:21:07] to 2023 there was a steady economic growth, but [00:21:11] 2025 there was a dip, as you can see right here, and [00:21:14] then comes the point where the US finds itself after [00:21:18] all the promises made. by Donald Trump, 1.5% [00:21:22] economic growth. Now it's time to listen to Senator Bernie [00:21:26] Sanders. Every morning in [00:21:29] America, tens of millions of people are waking up and [00:21:33] they're saying, how i going to put food on the table for my [00:21:37] kid? How am I going to fill up the gas tank when gas is [00:21:41] 450 a gallon? What happens if [00:21:44] my car breaks down and I can't get to work, and if [00:21:48] I can't get to work I lose my job. if lose my [00:21:51] job, how's my family going to survive? what [00:21:54] happens when my dad gets sick and he can't afford prescription [00:21:58] drugs when my kid gets sick? how i going to [00:22:02] put away a few bucks so maybe i can retire with [00:22:05] dignity? half of older workers in america [00:22:09] have nothing in savings. bernie's message to the ruling [00:22:13] class, pretty dire situation. one in four americans, [00:22:16] that's 26% of all Americans say... cannot [00:22:20] pay for a $500 repaired job, imagine [00:22:24] that, maybe it's because they don't even have [00:22:27] $400 in their bank account or their credit has run [00:22:30] dry, pretty dismal situation for many [00:22:34] Americans. now on that point, let me bring in our guest Nick [00:22:38] Cruz, writer, activist and co-founder of Revolutionary blackout network [00:22:42] into this conversation, Mr. Cruzs in one the [00:22:45] starkest pulls, 95% of Americans believe the [00:22:49] US is... suffering and affordability crisis, that's according [00:22:53] to a survey conducted by Harris Pole which paints [00:22:57] this bleak picture of uh how people [00:23:01] feel about the US economy, mid the war on Iran and ahead the [00:23:05] midtem elections coming up in November. Uh, what do you think [00:23:09] and how do you think that is going to affect Donald Trump's [00:23:12] presidency and the mid-term elections results? [00:23:16] Oh, Donald Trump is going to face a historic defeat. [00:23:20] uh in the midterms, but this is how the system is designed [00:23:24] for one oligarch to take charge due to the bidding the [00:23:28] empire and then pass the baton to the next puppet the [00:23:31] empire, this is the same thing we seen happen under Joe [00:23:35] Biden when the inflation crisis became became even [00:23:39] worse as he committed a genocide and funded nazis in [00:23:42] Ukraine. Donald Trump is the most corrupt [00:23:45] politicians of all time and that's that's going to lead to his [00:23:49] massive defeat. in the midterms, Donald Trump [00:23:52] has made over $2 billion, Jerry [00:23:55] Kuschner and his family has made hundreds of [00:23:59] millions of dollars, billions of dollars on shady [00:24:02] deals, so yeah, this is how the system goes, you have the [00:24:06] revolving door corruption, the republicans will [00:24:08] lose, and then the democrats will take charge and they will rule [00:24:12] for a while, and then they will sell out the American people, and [00:24:15] then Marco Rubio or JDV may. [00:24:20] elected in the next election cycle uh, the system is designed to [00:24:23] fail, but to to keep itself in power at the same [00:24:27] time is fail democracy. now it's time to take a look at the [00:24:30] mortgage rates. the rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage rate [00:24:34] now stands at 6.66%, that is one the [00:24:38] highest in one year. again, that bites into the consumer purchasing [00:24:41] power since it is a constant that they have to doll [00:24:45] out every month. now on that final point, let me bring in [00:24:49] our guest, Dr. Matthias Vernengo, full professor [00:24:53] at Bucknel University. Professor, inflation on many [00:24:56] goods, especially food and energy is up, manufacturing [00:25:00] output is down, 75,00 fewer [00:25:04] Americans work in factories than 18 months ago, [00:25:07] then the iron ward uh has hurt the US consumers big [00:25:11] time as well. How will this hurt the chances of Donald [00:25:15] Trump's Republican party winning the midterms in [00:25:19] November? "well, I'm not a political analyst, what I can tell you is [00:25:23] that there is an affordability crisis, there's no doubt, people, I [00:25:26] mean inflation has accelerated, as I said, some people at the [00:25:29] bottom, actually until very re from 2023, for a while [00:25:33] during the pandemic they were losing, but for the most part since 2023, [00:25:37] the wages the of non-skilled workers have sort of [00:25:40] recovered, but um, but again from a low [00:25:44] base, [00:25:45] so so, so I think that there is an affordability crisis, there is anger [00:25:49] uh, particularly..." I think that the price of gas and oil your [00:25:53] oil and and then gas and yeah when people [00:25:56] can drive in this country is sort of a serious issue uh [00:26:00] people uh take very serious. the fact [00:26:03] that gas is more expensive and so I think that that [00:26:07] is a problem that you will have electorally. I think that yes, all [00:26:10] indicates that the the situation and that there is [00:26:14] discontent and that he may lose [00:26:16] the the med terms. Yeah, it wouldn't be a [00:26:20] surprise, it's the norm in American elections that the midterm [00:26:24] elections go against the incumbent, so so that would [00:26:27] be not necessarily a [00:26:31] surprise if that happen. [00:26:32] for [00:26:33] the the the more important thing from my perspective is what happens in [00:26:37] in not the mid terms, what happens in two years, and I [00:26:41] think in order for an alternative [00:26:44] to the economic policies of Trump to emerge, there would [00:26:48] be Democratic [00:26:49] a Party need embrace some the more [00:26:52] populist sort of proposals on the [00:26:55] left the democratic party that address exactly those issues, the [00:26:59] issues of affordability of affordability. just of gas, but [00:27:03] affordability of of healthcare, affordability [00:27:06] of of education, which [00:27:10] is, I work a university is very expensive, and and I think that [00:27:14] those issues uh will certainly affect not only just the [00:27:18] midterm, but the future presidential elections in in two years [00:27:21] and a [00:27:22] half. [00:27:47] Don't let the news full you, many items are cherrypicked to [00:27:51] present vibrant US economy, that is not the case, there [00:27:54] are many outlets that also revealed the true numbers and [00:27:58] facts, but not enough of it, the economic situation in the... [00:28:02] is pretty bad and the US president knows it, but oddly enough [00:28:06] he conducts policies that appear to want to hurt the [00:28:10] US consumers. this is the website page of economic divide. feel [00:28:14] free to browse through all of our previous programs and tell us how you're doing.
