Truthful reporting is part of Iran's [00:03:02] national power and [00:03:05] of deterrance. Senior [00:03:08] of leader to leader [00:03:09] of the Islamic uh senior advisor that is the leader [00:03:11] of the Islamic Revolution says regional security can be ensured by countries the [00:03:15] region themselves [00:03:16] of without need for foreign [00:03:18] interference. said defeat [00:03:21] of US and Israel regime has [00:03:23] in reinforced the belief that foreign troops as a main source of insecurity [00:03:27] of no place in the region. He said the resilience. of Iran's armed [00:03:30] forces, the steadfastness [00:03:32] of the people and the courage [00:03:33] of the resistance access have contributed to the recent gains. [00:03:37] of Valet call for greater cooperation among regional countries to ensure [00:03:40] security and [00:03:42] stability. [00:03:47] The Israel [00:03:48] a military has launched fresh strikes in south [00:03:49] of Lebanon despite a sease fire with the Arab country [00:03:52] of artillery fire targeted forests and high grounds on the outskirts [00:03:56] of Nabatias was the vicinity [00:03:58] of the town of almansuri. damaging several homes, we're now joined by [00:04:02] our [00:04:02] of correspondent to hosen emad from south lebanon for your details. hello emad, good [00:04:06] to check in with you and hope you're safe and doing well, but oh, i'm sorry, no, it seems like we [00:04:10] have madit on joining us from beirot, [00:04:13] of hello mari, i'm sorry about that, i was just reading what in front [00:04:15] of me until i saw your preview there, hope you're doing safe and doing well, what's [00:04:19] the last we know [00:04:19] on on the all these attacks? well [00:04:25] of of we of do of have very busy night for the Israeli occupation forces, especially the incursions um and it [00:04:29] seems that the israel [00:04:30] of are uh beginning [00:04:32] of several incursions in various different towns, at least three Israeli vehicles [00:04:36] went closer uh in the area of which is closer [00:04:39] to the area where we have a alebanese army [00:04:43] baracks in the town of ship and of course the town of shibah is not occupied [00:04:47] but of course they are present in the shibah farms [00:04:51] which is just adjacent and this is one [00:04:52] of the [00:04:52] of hills that's overlooking shiban another instance they also got [00:04:56] closer to through the road of mason shabat towards the [00:05:00] another port which is in the town of shaqra, also [00:05:04] another town that is not occupied and that is the the [00:05:08] high port of course that is one [00:05:09] of of the areas where is on israel attack in another [00:05:13] instance, the Israelies also moved the barrier in [00:05:17] the western zalt area closer to the main square the [00:05:21] town, which is supposedly the area which they call pilot [00:05:24] zone that they actually withdrew from, and so they are [00:05:28] actually moving in into more lebanese territory. this is [00:05:31] addition to the various attacks that we have, not only in [00:05:35] Monsuodi, but we also have several tags [00:05:37] and the [00:05:40] radar post. also targeting frashuba [00:05:44] as well as the town of shabal which [00:05:48] are very close each other, we also have the area of shmids [00:05:52] infarshuba that was under attack addition to of course [00:05:55] haddata and zautar where the Israelis continuously target and of [00:05:59] course should not forget to mention the ali tahir hills and that is the [00:06:03] area which perhaps ever since the seasfire the Israelies [00:06:07] have not stopped pounding it with continuous [00:06:10] shelling and attacks with very... storms, drones, [00:06:14] um, war planes and even artillery, and of [00:06:18] course the Israelis uh seem to have another incident in south [00:06:21] lebanon, based on media reports from the Israelis uh, they [00:06:25] said that an Israeli soldier was wounded in an operation, of [00:06:29] course they did not mention where first, then we find out from the Israeli [00:06:33] media, they see it as as an Israeli unit attempted to get [00:06:37] closer to the Ali Tahar Hill they were under attack, we [00:06:40] don't have any statement now, from the resistance [00:06:44] saying that they have withstood or detered any sort of attack from the [00:06:47] Israelis, getting closer to the hill, what we do know [00:06:51] from the Israelis is that an Israeli soldier in the occupation [00:06:55] forces was under attack, they are also saying that [00:06:59] reportedly it was an FPV that targeted that Israeli [00:07:02] soldiers, of course we don't have much more information on that [00:07:06] to be able to give clear picture of what is [00:07:10] happening there, because since these Hisbullah has not [00:07:13] targeted the Israeli occupation forces except [00:07:17] for the the instances just before that see fire. [00:07:20] In addition of course we also have statements coming out from [00:07:24] Lebanese members of parliament that are clearly [00:07:28] saying that the Israelis up until now throughout all the rounds of [00:07:32] talks have not given the Lebanon sease [00:07:35] fire. They have not accepted actually um very [00:07:39] openly in all of those meetings. to actually [00:07:43] give Lebanon clear cease fire and this is why we're seeing continuous [00:07:47] attacks from the Israeli side uh and of course they are also talking [00:07:51] about [00:07:51] the fact that even other attempts, other demands from [00:07:54] Lebanon, like for example the pilot zones to be areas that are [00:07:58] actually occupied uh are also issues that the Israelis have not [00:08:02] accepted to. another issue are the prisoners. Lebanon asked [00:08:05] the Israeli authorities and the delegation to release [00:08:09] all the civilian um prisoners. uh within Israeli [00:08:13] custody and that is issue that the Israelies up until now also have [00:08:17] not accepted and this is of course all with the [00:08:20] sponsorship the United States directly to the Israeli [00:08:23] regime. All right, stay safe and uh thank you, Miriam [00:08:27] man joining us from Beirot. The [00:08:31] Yemen Armed forces say they have carried out strikes in the Saudi back troops in Madi province [00:08:35] of Yemen a saving armed forces said they targetted Saudi back [00:08:38] camps using a large number of missiles and drones. Yemani. military [00:08:42] specified operation targeted troop concentrations along with [00:08:46] their warehouses, their vehicles and military hardware, and to save and [00:08:50] affirmed military will forcefully strike any Saudi troopa [00:08:54] buildup or attempts by Riyad to maintain its Yemen blockade, [00:08:58] armed forces also reiterated they'll continue the equation of blockade for [00:09:01] blockade and targeting asadi aggressive troop concentrations wherever [00:09:05] they may [00:09:06] be. [00:09:10] And the foreign ministry says that no regional or global coalition can [00:09:13] confiscate the legitimate rights the Yemani people, the foreign ministry [00:09:17] stated regime in Saudi Arabia needs to focus on ending the blockade [00:09:21] and all hostilities against Yemen rather than seeking solutions to a [00:09:24] stalemate it's created. Response follows the signing of a joint defense [00:09:28] agreements between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan in [00:09:32] Mecca. trilateral pacts stipulates an armed attack against any one the [00:09:35] signatories will be treated as an attack against all. Meanwhile, the [00:09:39] chairman of Yemen's Supreme Political Council's. the significance the [00:09:43] deal, Matty Amashat stress siege for siege equation will remain [00:09:47] in effect until its objectives are [00:09:49] achieved. [00:09:53] Amit heighten geopolitical tensions across West Asia, Pakistan, [00:09:57] Saudi Arabia and Turkey have signed a joint defense agreement a [00:10:00] trilateral summit in Makka, marking major transformation in the [00:10:04] region with their pledge to boost collective security. On [00:10:08] paper, the deal ensures absolute mutual assistance against any external. [00:10:12] aggression, however, experts point out the complex challenge [00:10:16] ahead as Saudi Arabia's primary military architecture remains [00:10:20] deeply linked with the strategic framework the United States and [00:10:24] other western powers. Riad is not [00:10:27] exactly buying, you see [00:10:31] security and peace for the region, but it is ensuring [00:10:34] security for itself, because in the near past we have seen that it [00:10:38] was attacked, I mean its region was attacked, [00:10:42] it's the American bases its territory were attacked, so it [00:10:46] is probably seeking some kind of [00:10:48] an assurance that there will be other partners who will come to its aid [00:10:52] in case push comes to shove. Pakistani [00:10:56] Prime Minister Shahbas Sharif, Turkish President Rajab Tayyab Erdogan and [00:11:00] Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman were seen poised file inking [00:11:03] the deal, but the core question remains how this mutual defense [00:11:07] mechanism will function in practice. Observers are evaluating [00:11:11] whether this alliance reflects genuine push toward regional [00:11:14] self-reliance on security or if it functions as a strategic [00:11:18] diversification while keeping traditional security umbrellas [00:11:21] intact this uh [00:11:25] agreement is necessitated by the developments that are taking place [00:11:29] in the region, so all these three key Muslim countries feel [00:11:32] that by joining hands they can protect their [00:11:36] interests better, so in the event of for example any conflict [00:11:40] between Iran and Saudi Arabia, I don't think so that Pakistan and [00:11:43] Turkey would like to be part of any conflict [00:11:47] where two or more Muslim countries are [00:11:50] involved. This fact highlights a broader strategic shift [00:11:54] as Saudi Arabia. actively diversifies its longstanding [00:11:57] security dependencies. By formalizing this treaty, Raad [00:12:01] is probably moving away from relying a single [00:12:04] superpower. The major beneficiary [00:12:08] of this agreement is Saudi Arabia itself, [00:12:12] because it has to protect its [00:12:16] oil infrastructure. It has got one the world's largest [00:12:20] oil exporting infrastructure in the world. [00:12:23] Secondly, [00:12:24] for its vision. 2030 to realize it requires [00:12:27] regional stability, so it was its compulsion to have such an [00:12:31] agreement, as this new mutual defense alliance takes [00:12:35] ship, regional countries and global powers are closely watching how [00:12:39] the Islamabad Ankara Riyath Pact will navigate the volatile West [00:12:42] Asia landscape to turn into the so-called pillar of peace, [00:12:46] stability and security in the region. The ultimate test of this [00:12:50] agreement hinges on the true strategic autonomy of its primary [00:12:54] architect. "the makka agreements efficacy depend on [00:12:58] Saudi Arabia demonstrating an independent strategic VN rather than [00:13:01] relying on external security umbrellas. for the mutual defense pact to [00:13:05] foster genuine regional stability, riad must commit to alliances [00:13:09] execution beyond mayor political declaration. mariam [00:13:13] nawaz, press tv, [00:13:15] Islamabad. yes economy [00:13:18] lost 23,000 jobs in July as labor force [00:13:22] participation fell to its lowest in five years. figures published by [00:13:25] Bureau of Labor Statistics show the unemployment rate slipped from [00:13:29] 4.1 down to 4.2, that's not because [00:13:33] of improvements and situation of employment and it's due to fact over [00:13:37] 260,00 people left the labor force. major job losses hit [00:13:41] local uh government education, retail, trade and financial [00:13:44] activities. healthcares now in the few sectors with gains adding some [00:13:48] 22,000 jobs economists say data points a broad [00:13:52] economic slowdown and weakening consumer. for confidence, [00:13:56] july jobs reports are closely watch admit [00:13:58] height and tensions in west Asia which add pressure to global markets and economic [00:14:02] sentiment. the trump [00:14:06] administrations ramped up offensive against Cuba's continuing [00:14:10] continuing uh each today and this month Cuba will be side of series [00:14:14] of events which seek to revitalize a global mass movement against US [00:14:17] imperialism. Atlante reports from [00:14:20] Havana. Cuba [00:14:24] has won again become a meeting place for internationalists, [00:14:28] even as Washington is escalating its siege on the revolution, [00:14:32] University of Havana is the site of four-day assembly of Alba [00:14:35] movements. [00:15:37] latine à nos [00:15:38] côtés, [00:15:44] qui se sont séparés. [00:15:49] It is imperative to awaken a correlation of [00:15:52] forces that lies hidden in our peoples. Our [00:15:56] peoples do not want the gringos. Our peoples cannot [00:15:59] stomach the boot of [00:16:01] imperialism. [00:16:07] as result the fuel blockade by the US. the fact that these [00:16:11] delegates came to Cuba at this time also sends a message to the United [00:16:15] States, that Cuba is not alone, that Cuba will continue [00:16:19] fighting, and that [00:16:20] it is supported by all the people who received Cuban Solidarity in [00:16:24] their countries, in Latin America and also in west [00:16:27] Asia, like in Palestine, as [00:16:31] a Palestinian, I graduated thanks to the Cuban Revolution, thanks to [00:16:35] the Cuban people, and I am also... doing my specialization here in [00:16:38] Cuba, it's an example of Cuba's solidarity with all the peoples who are [00:16:42] fighting for their freedom. Delegates express the urgent need [00:16:46] to build international alliances to defeat a common [00:16:49] imperialist enemy. Despite the challenges we face, the myth of [00:16:53] invincibility has been pierced, be it by the continued resistance the Cuban [00:16:57] people, or the defeat that Iran has inflicted on the United [00:17:00] States. While the US attempts to launch a war to demonstrate [00:17:04] dominance, it was instead forced to negotiate on term. terms [00:17:07] dictated by the very state it sough to destroy. this has further [00:17:11] opened a window of opportunity for resistance. in the coming [00:17:15] days, this assembly will debate a plan of action for the next four [00:17:18] years, including alternatives in the face the current US imperialist [00:17:22] offensive against the global south. camillante, [00:17:26] press tv, havana. [00:20:51] necessary, however, unfortunately, no party was consulted in this [00:20:55] matter. We are not against reviewing [00:20:58] subsidies, but in parliament, we were surprised by this [00:21:02] increase, although it does not represent the removal of [00:21:05] subsidies, its consequences could be very [00:21:09] negative for social security funds, and we will take the [00:21:12] necessary steps to hold those responsible [00:21:15] accountable. The decision has also drawn critices. [00:21:20] from Tunisia's powerful labor union, which say it will not [00:21:24] remain silent, warning that rising healthcare costs could [00:21:28] affect vulnerable groups and low income [00:21:31] families. two issues have [00:21:34] concerned the labor union, the first is affecting the right of [00:21:38] Tunisians to healthcare, the second is the unilateral decision [00:21:42] making process. the union criticizes the authorities for not [00:21:46] involving professional structures in this decision. it wants to be [00:22:50] ensuring that health care remains accessible to all Tunesians [00:22:54] in Tunesia, decision to increase [00:22:57] medicine prices has sparked the growing public concern. [00:24:30] If you want to understand 21st century geopolitics, [00:24:34] don't look at speeches, look at corridors and the center [00:24:38] of almost all them is Iran, not as a [00:24:41] spectator, as a structural necessity, from Washington's [00:24:45] perspective, Iran is often framed as a pressure point, but [00:24:49] from geoecon. perspective, it is something else [00:24:52] entirely, the hinge of Eurasia, start with China's belt [00:24:56] and road, a free train now runs from Zian straight [00:25:00] into Aprin dryport, just outside Tehran, what used [00:25:04] to take 40 days by sea can now take about [00:25:07] 15 by rail, and hey, that's not symbolism, [00:25:11] that's supply chain redesign, and it quietly places iran [00:25:15] inside the fastest growing east west [00:25:19] trade or... on the planet, then there's a north south access, [00:25:23] the INSTC linking Russia, Iran and India, a [00:25:26] corridor that doesn't just connect economies, it intersects with [00:25:30] every major east west route crossing [00:25:34] central Asia, and here's where the irony becomes hard [00:25:38] to ignore, the more US or some other western [00:25:42] plans try to root around Iran, the more [00:25:46] physical geography pulls them back through it, take India [00:25:50] ambition in chabahar, take China's interest in the markran [00:25:54] coast, take Russia's need for southern access, three different [00:25:58] strategies, same unavoidable node. Iran [00:26:01] sits at the# intersection of competing systems, bri or the [00:26:05] belt road initiative on one side, INSTC or the [00:26:09] international north south transport corridor on another, the US [00:26:13] backed IMEC, so callalled India middle east Europe corridor, [00:26:16] attempting to bypass them entirely, but bypassing [00:26:20] Iran is not logistical detail, [00:26:23] it is geopolitical contradiction, because even IMEC's [00:26:27] logic depends on stable regional connectivity, a region [00:26:31] where Iran is struck. actually unavoidable, meanwile Washington's [00:26:35] broader strategy, illegal sanctions, pressure [00:26:38] containment was meant to limit Iran's connectivity, [00:26:42] instead, it accelerated parallel systems, [00:26:45] rail, ports and overland trade roots [00:26:49] that reduce dependence on maritime choke points, and this is [00:26:53] the quiet shift most headlines miss. Iran is [00:26:57] embedded inside competing integration models, [00:27:00] Chinese, Russian, indian and regional, which raises [00:27:04] simple but uncomfortable question: a world being [00:27:08] rebelled through corridors, what happens when the system [00:27:12] itself cannot be drawn without you? sometimes the [00:27:16] most strategic country is not the one controlling the [00:27:19] map, it is the one every version the map is [00:27:23] forced to pass through, no matter who draws the [00:27:26] lines. [00:27:39] As an African, I can't help but think about sanction as in Zimbabwe, [00:27:43] because that was what introduced me to sanction in the first place, where the [00:27:47] Zimbabwe people had to suffer because of US unilateral [00:27:50] sanction and also the EU sanction, and what that sanction did [00:27:54] to the entire economy, but having come to Iran, I realized the [00:27:58] sanction can be treated as swat, what is what in? [00:28:02] swat means s w o t, which [00:28:06] means strength, witness, opportunities and threat, and that is [00:28:10] how Iranians have tried sanctions by turning it into [00:28:14] strength, and today Iran produces [00:28:18] over 90% of its food [00:28:20] consumption. [00:28:35] According to the most recent censors, Iran has 90 million [00:28:38] people, or over 90 million people, and this [00:28:42] produces over 90% the food that its people [00:28:45] need. It is so self-sufficient in creating food and [00:28:49] producing food that [00:28:50] it is also exporting to other countries. We are only [00:28:54] very few countries that have been able to attain over [00:28:57] 70% of food sufficiency according to the [00:29:00] UN, and those countries. is a China, [00:29:03] Russia, the United States and Iran is also one [00:29:07] them, but the difference is Iran is heavily [00:29:11] sanctioned. [00:29:19] According to UN estimates, export of agricultural [00:29:23] products now amounts for 12% of Iran's [00:29:27] total GDP. When you compare that to the [00:29:31] countries around Iran. that are well relatively [00:29:34] much much richer than Iran, but they cannot produce [00:29:38] even 2% the food that they consume, [00:29:42] countries like Saudi Arabia, like Kuwait, like [00:29:45] Oman, but we can argue that some of this countries are [00:29:49] experiencing drought and their geography does not allow for [00:29:53] food production, but one the lies we've been told is that [00:29:57] to be self-sufficient in food and consumption you have to [00:30:00] be very, very rich. "you can also compare that to African [00:30:04] countries that have huge herriable land that allow [00:30:08] them to be able to farm, but most African [00:30:12] countries still import over 70% the food [00:30:16] they [00:30:16] consume. [00:30:26] well, this is one the good restaurants in Tehran and I've come to try [00:30:30] very famous Iranian dish. [00:30:36] this is considered by Iranian as the king of food. [00:30:40] one thing Iran has taught us from the very first moment that have been [00:30:44] covering sanctions around the world and especially in Iran, whether it is from [00:30:48] their military doctrine to their technology when it [00:30:52] comes to medicine or the ability to be able to produce your own food, [00:30:56] is that when a nation takes a decision?
