[00:00:12] of [00:00:19] of [00:00:52] of [00:01:02] of [00:01:11] of [00:01:14] على [00:01:22] هذا [00:01:36] of [00:01:41] a of [00:01:56] Welcome everyone, of a damming report has just come [00:01:59] of out [00:01:59] of the pentagon. about the real cost of US aggression on Iran, first of its [00:02:03] kind, and one that flies in the face of every claim by the Trump administration [00:02:07] officials to downplay [00:02:08] in the price tag of this imposed war carried out with the [00:02:11] a Israeli regime. The defense department's inspector general's report says the [00:02:15] conflict is resulted [00:02:16] in a shortfall of US munitions and bottlenecks and supply [00:02:20] chains as a Trump administration races against time to replenish [00:02:23] weaponry. Now this while war secretary Pete Hexith has denied [00:02:27] reports the US is running low on munitions. and the report says the [00:02:31] of war is cost roughly $33.4 billion dollars, which does [00:02:34] in not account for repairing damaged facilities, yet [00:02:37] in a July back [00:02:38] in a back in July and NBS news reported that the war had so [00:02:42] far cost 80 to 100 billion dollars, according to three US [00:02:46] officials and three people [00:02:47] a familiar with internal cost estimates at the Pentagon. In our spotlight [00:02:51] program will speak on with this report on covers, including deception from the White [00:02:55] House and its many ramifications. Now for our [00:02:58] guests. [00:03:02] of Joining of us Marcia Baker Economic Expert out of Washington [00:03:06] DC [00:03:12] and Clive Menzi's researcher and commentator joining us from [00:03:16] London. Hello to the both of you and pleasure to have you both on. Marcia if it's [00:03:20] okay we're going to start with you out there in DC. Hope you're safe and doing well pleasure to have [00:03:24] you. Your initial take on how timely this report is ahead of [00:03:28] mid-terms come November. [00:03:30] and on the heels [00:03:30] of the Trump administration ordering a probe at the Pentagon, including [00:03:34] polygraph a lot of viewers that may not know what that is, it's a lie [00:03:38] detector test uh imposed on 50 people at the pentagon for [00:03:41] leaking uh information that [00:03:44] of was included in this report over the past [00:03:46] weeks. yes it [00:03:50] is very crazy is it not at the [00:03:53] pentagon to require lie detector [00:03:56] tests to try and sneak around and find out [00:04:00] Who is telling the truth, but the reality [00:04:04] of the truth is manifest in many [00:04:07] ways, one of which is the US economy [00:04:11] in other ways other than the manufacturing of missiles [00:04:15] and weapons and armored and [00:04:19] arms, the US economy is [00:04:23] worsening by the day, the [00:04:27] threat of electricity outages, the... lack of [00:04:30] of new water provision in the west, very fundamental [00:04:34] things, so therefore a lot [00:04:38] of the popular public [00:04:41] opinion [00:04:43] of worry about that is among the things feeding into a vote [00:04:47] in the house of [00:04:49] in representatives in congress yesterday [00:04:52] that the war powers act which [00:04:56] exists for several decades should be used. [00:05:00] to stop the warfare against Iran by Trump [00:05:04] because he never declared war back in late [00:05:07] February, it's been six [00:05:10] months and the house of representative. has voted [00:05:13] 220 to 204 [00:05:17] to that something should that this should be [00:05:20] stopped, the combat without authorization by [00:05:23] congress should be stopped, however, congress has been [00:05:27] sent home today before the elections in November, so you have [00:05:31] very fluid, very very tricky [00:05:34] situation, you sure do, and thank you that mar for [00:05:38] opening, take there, Clive, always a pleasure, thank you for your patience, um, [00:05:42] your opening take as well cly and let me just add uh this was this [00:05:46] report was released by Pentagon uh was a congressionally mandated [00:05:49] report, it was released Monday shortly after its release president Donald Trump [00:05:53] said a true social that the US is producing more [00:05:56] exquisite and elite weapons than any time in our history, that's a direct [00:06:00] quote, he said they're being delivered a daily basis to our forces in the middle [00:06:04] east and beyond, and then just two weeks ago Clive, he posted the US had [00:06:07] virtually unlimited amounts of ammunition and lashed out at reports [00:06:11] of munition. shortfalls, oops, what happened there, [00:06:15] clive? [00:06:17] well, it's difficult to know where [00:06:21] to begin, because we've been lied to about [00:06:25] so much, um, mean [00:06:28] if you look at the Ukraine theater, which [00:06:32] was where this first started, when NATO was pouring [00:06:35] weapons in Ukraine, [00:06:38] basically demonstrated considerable. [00:06:42] superiority then at the start of this current [00:06:46] confrontation between Iran and [00:06:49] Israel primarily, but the US obviously is [00:06:53] handing glove, um, again the [00:06:57] iron dome was was [00:06:59] fantasy, um, I, I'm [00:07:03] just not convinced, I haven't studied in great debt, the [00:07:07] numbers or the number of warheads or what have you, but it [00:07:10] just seems to me 'if if they had such [00:07:14] superiority then the results that we've been seeing [00:07:18] wouldn't wouldn't have been obtained by Iran or the [00:07:22] or Yemen or [00:07:23] Hezballah right and then and Marsia and [00:07:27] the irony here really is that this this this price tag that [00:07:31] the Pentagon is putting on it it does I mentioned it earlier it does [00:07:35] not uh uh it doesn't [00:07:38] basically account for facilities that have yet'. be [00:07:42] repaired many [00:07:43] the US bases in west Asia that Iran has targeted [00:07:47] a lot of neighboring countries that were hosting uh the these [00:07:51] US forces that were launching the attacks from those bases [00:07:54] um and once that gets factored in really this price dack could be [00:07:58] truly uh staggering I'm sure there'll be report down the road that'll [00:08:01] make it much more transparent in due time yes [00:08:05] yes you are exactly right that the [00:08:09] the pentagon figure that says only 33 [00:08:13] billion or so is both incompetent as [00:08:17] well as lying to serve being blood thirsty, they don't [00:08:20] care, but remember it's the [00:08:23] besides what is being bought by [00:08:27] Europeans and others from the United States in the way of arms to send to [00:08:31] Ukraine, the United States is [00:08:34] actively is active militarily in [00:08:38] deployments in the western hemisphere, the secretary of [00:08:45] as well as the secretary of war, he [00:08:49] likes to call it, but rubio was just in south [00:08:53] america, in colombia, in ecuador, what was he [00:08:57] talking about? we need a US [00:09:00] military base of operations for the [00:09:03] region, maybe here in Colombia, we should keep out [00:09:07] the Chinese, in other words, you're having [00:09:10] bellacose. [00:09:42] rises kept main logistics hub in the region in Bahrain with drones and [00:09:46] ballistic missiles and many other targets, so my question to you, [00:09:50] Clive, why this war, why now, why have this [00:09:53] imposed war on Iran be one the first time that the government is being [00:09:57] pressed to be so transparent about its costs [00:10:00] in a war? is this telling of how [00:10:03] controversial this imposed aggression on Iran actually [00:10:07] is? well, I think we need to [00:10:11] remember we... We don't need to go too far [00:10:14] back um, but on September the 10th, [00:10:18] 2001, Don Rumsfeld [00:10:21] disclosed there was a 2.3 trillion dollar hole. [00:10:25] in the Pentagon budget, what has become apparent [00:10:29] through everything that we've seen since in [00:10:32] Iraq, Syria, Libya, this [00:10:35] Ukraine and now in [00:10:38] the in the middle east is, [00:10:41] it's a giant money laundering machine, um, one the [00:10:45] reasons that their weapons are not is, so we [00:10:49] say sophisticated, efficient, as as is [00:10:53] claimed by Donald Trump, is... that the US arms [00:10:57] industry has basically had a free rain to rip [00:11:00] off the government or foreign governments left, right [00:11:04] and center, and they're not alone, and it's not a national [00:11:08] problem, this is a global problem, primarily in the [00:11:12] west, where [00:11:16] these walls, which were planned, as I said, [00:11:19] extract the maximum value, as I [00:11:23] said on occasion. the ultimate [00:11:27] plan the ideology of destruction which is run by a cult [00:11:31] which controls the leavers of power through money is [00:11:34] population control and reduction and [00:11:38] fear is a primary vector of control, [00:11:41] obviously warfare, conflict is [00:11:45] going to add to the population reduction, but [00:11:49] these are not the only vectors, many others, but where we [00:11:53] at at the moment is... they've been trying to if you like [00:11:57] finess how they undertake some sort of reset [00:12:01] the economy because the money system needs a [00:12:04] reset, it didn't get reset in 97, it didn't get reset [00:12:08] in 2000, it didn't get retail reset in [00:12:12] 2008, and what we've seen with the various [00:12:15] machinations over crypto, stable [00:12:18] coins, all the various measures that they come up with [00:12:22] CBTC have all all all in towards [00:12:26] trying to affect a reset, but in the same way [00:12:29] after the 30s depression, the reset was achieved by [00:12:33] war, so I think there are multiple objectives in this [00:12:36] war, but the primary one is for the cult or [00:12:40] the structure to protect itself from [00:12:44] becoming irrelevant, it is actually becoming [00:12:47] increasingly irrelevant, as Marsia [00:12:50] said, populations are increasingly [00:12:54] disc. with with their government, they they know that [00:12:58] they're not acting in their interests and on the contrary, they [00:13:01] know that they are effectively abusing them and [00:13:05] killing them, and so what we have is [00:13:09] is [00:13:10] a collapsing system which is like a wild animal trapped in the [00:13:13] corner with money, and that that is rising, [00:13:17] and not only that, the the [00:13:21] technology sector itself that has all been, 'all the [00:13:25] most most the tools are open source, the [00:13:29] only thing that isn't open source at the moment is [00:13:32] value, value is quickly controlled and it's [00:13:35] an extractive mechanism to make people [00:13:39] poor and compliant uh, but as more people [00:13:42] disassociate from the system that's failing them uh [00:13:46] something else is taking its place, but you won't see that in [00:13:50] statistics or numbers, but it's happening all around the world [00:13:54] and these networks'. are interconnecting um, [00:13:57] the internet has been a effective tool for [00:14:01] control, but it's also been a much more effective [00:14:05] tool in socializing [00:14:08] knowledge, understanding, capacities, needs, [00:14:11] relationships, and this is what's taking [00:14:15] over, and what what we're discussing is the [00:14:19] old system collapse, what very few people are [00:14:22] discussing is this new way? of organizing that is [00:14:26] emerging, which is no longer dependent on money. good [00:14:30] stuff there, Clive, and Marcia, your take as well, why congress you feel is [00:14:34] ordered this report? I mean, and why we have a [00:14:38] lawmakers like Thomas Massy and few other voices pushing for [00:14:42] impeachment hearings against Pete Hegsith, the [00:14:45] so-called war minister, and what, what's causing the many internal [00:14:49] struggles and problems between the Trump administration and congress when it [00:14:53] comes to this war, is it because? is it the nature the war? the failed [00:14:57] objectives, the pretext that was employed to actually launch it with the [00:15:01] Israeli regime, the um the lies, the deception, the the [00:15:05] failures, what do you attributed to? several things [00:15:08] are coming together, some of which you mentioned, [00:15:12] there is the horror at the outright killing of [00:15:16] people, the young girls at school in Iran, the [00:15:19] Palestinians in Gaza, there's also people [00:15:23] who just worry that... the military budget [00:15:27] is has such debt and requires such debt [00:15:31] service that it will destroy the economy, which is [00:15:35] true, then [00:15:36] there are other people. who would like to restore [00:15:40] what 250 and 150 years ago was [00:15:43] called the American system, which meant deliberately [00:15:47] building up your own nation and supporting other [00:15:51] nations, not tearing it down. there are still [00:15:54] those people who, if you think of famous brand [00:15:58] name pieces of infrastructure, they built [00:16:02] in the 1930s the Tennessee Valley, river [00:16:05] valley authority. They built um other [00:16:09] big projects, there's a dam on the Colorado River in the Western [00:16:13] North America, the Hoover Dam, and there it's [00:16:17] less known, but there was foreign relations [00:16:21] dependent on this, there were dams built on the [00:16:24] Helmond River after World War [00:16:27] II, um, in the Helmond Valley Authority, there was [00:16:31] a dam built in Haiti by President [00:16:34] Eisenhauer from World War II. so what you [00:16:38] still have a combination of positive and negatives [00:16:42] that see test, which Clive just referred to, as which [00:16:46] Clive just referred to, the end [00:16:49] the the casino economy, [00:16:52] speculation is not going to be able to continue, [00:16:56] now we hope the desperate animal in the corner will [00:17:00] not continue to resort to to [00:17:03] something so desperate as nuclear, [00:17:07] instigation, but we do look what we saw [00:17:11] last weekend in New Delhi, [00:17:14] the meeting the global majority [00:17:18] in the expanded bricks, President [00:17:21] Peseshikin, the presidents of Eurasia, [00:17:25] South Africa, dozens of leaders [00:17:28] met with a positive dynamic, just the opposite of what what I [00:17:32] described, so the hope is we get through this [00:17:36] valley of... death into a brighter future if we [00:17:40] hook up the the uh what can wake [00:17:44] up in western Europe and the United States with this [00:17:48] positive dynamic? thank you [00:17:51] Marsia and Clive, I want to swing over to the US public for [00:17:55] second, the war hasn't had lot of support when it comes to your [00:17:59] average everyday Americans, even many who had bought [00:18:02] into Iran's demonization propaganda for years seem that [00:18:06] they're not. really on board with the need for this war to take [00:18:10] place, they haven't been behind it from day one and especially now [00:18:14] that it's impacting inflation and their energy [00:18:18] costs, why have the US public not been completely [00:18:22] sold, and i believe latest polls showed as the most unpopular [00:18:25] war in recent history among americans, they're not behind [00:18:29] it, mean very few are to be frank, [00:18:32] why? well [00:18:36] there is some... parallels to what was happening around [00:18:39] the beginning the last century where there was a [00:18:43] desire to amasculate or [00:18:46] reduce the power or destroy even Germany and [00:18:49] Russia um and in the run up to [00:18:53] that if you at the time [00:18:56] there was a very strong German population in the [00:18:59] US um and the propaganda [00:19:03] effort to actually demonize [00:19:05] Germans uh spearing banuts on babies [00:19:09] on baynuts and all sorts of hideous things and not [00:19:13] dissimilar to what's been claimed now [00:19:16] the thing is popular people don't go to [00:19:20] war their own vallition they [00:19:24] are propagandized conditioned made [00:19:27] angry at the other whoever the other and i [00:19:31] think it was muhammad ali said i'm not going to kill load of poor [00:19:35] people in another country mean that's "Essentially [00:19:39] most people don't want to go to war, [00:19:41] it is the structure that is incentivizing this and [00:19:45] creating division, whether it be [00:19:48] anti-muslim, anti-Israel, whatever it may be, anti [00:19:51] jews, rather than Israel, I think Israel [00:19:55] is something else entirely, but let's not [00:19:59] forget [00:19:59] that there's a total disconnect in the [00:20:03] democratic system, [00:20:04] it is, it has never been a democracy because it's all..." has been [00:20:07] controlled and it's now visibly controlled, I'm not sure [00:20:11] what the percentage of representatives in the US are [00:20:15] controlled by the Israeli lobby, but it's a fair [00:20:19] number, similarly in the UK and across [00:20:22] Europe. The thing I would like to add to [00:20:25] this is that everybody on Hiroshima and [00:20:29] Nagasaki, I haven't got time to go into it [00:20:33] now, but those were not nuclear explosions because it wouldn't have [00:20:36] less shadow. on concrete it would have vaporized the [00:20:39] concrete and so this idea of [00:20:42] mutually destruction which hangs over [00:20:45] everything is another lie and the fear [00:20:49] prop. to keep people controlled, fear in [00:20:53] fear and divided. Thank you, Clive [00:20:56] MRC you get the last word in if you could, if you could also [00:21:00] we in on why this is seems to be one the most unpopular if not the most [00:21:03] unpopular in modern history, us waged [00:21:07] aggression against a country. Routers and Ipsis has put it around [00:21:10] 67% of Americans feel they're against this war, when [00:21:14] Iraq it comes around 64, Vietnam came around 65, and [00:21:18] Afghanistan around 66 and a half percent. was close to 68%, [00:21:21] what do you attribute this to? and I had someone tell me uh earlier, and I don't how [00:21:25] accurate it is, because Americans aren't against waging wars, they're against losing them, and this has been a [00:21:29] losing a war for Americans, so obviously they're going to be resentful [00:21:33] to it, I'm not sure if that completely captures the essence of this, how do you see [00:21:37] it from your perspective? well, [00:21:40] Americans uh, some them are waking up at [00:21:44] terrible cost to people abroad and destruction [00:21:47] here, to the fact there has been... [00:21:50] insidious penetration and invasion in [00:21:53] Washington DC connected to London, the city of London, [00:21:57] connected to Amsterdam, of it's been known [00:22:01] recently as the Epsteine class, but uh [00:22:05] perverted elites that wheel and [00:22:09] deal in money, in people, in death and in power, it's [00:22:13] the globalist west, and you've had this for decades, [00:22:17] you have a military, financial. industrial [00:22:21] complex, an agro financial industrial [00:22:25] complex, media in the west financial [00:22:28] complex, that's becoming more exposed, we [00:22:32] should expose it, we should go to end all the wars [00:22:36] and need to recreate a the western [00:22:39] system has to have emergency credit and banking [00:22:43] reorganization, best done with [00:22:47] the drive that's coming out the bricks. [00:22:50] the shanghai cooperation organization, the global [00:22:53] majority, and we can come out of this danger period in [00:22:57] history a good way, but Americans have [00:23:01] sick sense, a funny subliminal [00:23:04] sense that they have been governed by this [00:23:08] alien elite class for decades, some [00:23:12] beginning sometime after world war to, and so [00:23:16] we have to push that and see that that is inf. [00:23:21] transition to new system in the nearest possible [00:23:24] time. [00:23:25] all right, thank you both. bless you both and stay safe to the both of you. marcia [00:23:29] baker, economic expert joining us [00:23:31] out of Washington DC and also Mr. Clive menzi's researcher and [00:23:35] commentator, joining us from London. and viewers, this brings us [00:23:38] to the conclusion of this segment of your Press TV spotlight program. thank you for [00:23:42] tuning in and goodbye for [00:23:43] now.
