[00:00:00] Saudi allegation became a western war [00:00:02] narrative, BBC, how war [00:00:06] propaganda ends of billing American and European [00:00:09] households. [00:00:17] From the weaponization of a disputed claim about [00:00:20] of Mecca to the economic shock [00:00:22] of now reaching households far beyond West Asia. Today's headlines [00:00:25] reveal how war, propaganda and economic consequences are becoming in. [00:00:30] of increasingly difficult to separate, to [00:00:32] in unpack the narratives behind them, we welcome broadcast media [00:00:35] expert for analyst, [00:00:38] welcome, thank you far, so today we're beginning with the mecca story, [00:00:42] Saudi Arabia claimed the drone was intercepted south [00:00:45] of the holy city and has linked it to the ansar allah movement, but [00:00:49] of Ansar Allah has categorically rejected and denied this claim, [00:00:53] western media however has rapidly amplified the most explosive version of this [00:00:57] claim, the bigger story was Yemen's. escalating retaliatory [00:01:01] pressure on Saudi Arabia, its military and energy [00:01:04] infrastructure, including the disruption of its oil export capacities and [00:01:08] its routes destruction of facilities, so why would [00:01:12] Ansad Allah deliberately target Islam's holiest site when Saudi militarian [00:01:16] economic assets are the actual [00:01:18] of strategic pressure points and within its reach? exactly, so a video titled [00:01:22] Middle East Escalation, regional powers await US response after Iranian [00:01:25] attack. Fox News takes that Saudi allegation and places it at [00:01:30] center of its coverage, framing it as part of this broader Iranian escalation, [00:01:34] so let's take a look at that [00:01:39] of report. Saudi Arabia is fighting off attacks by [00:01:42] of Iran-backed hooti [00:01:42] of rebels. Muslim nations are condemming attempted [00:01:45] of drone attack on Mecca, assault the Saudis call [00:01:49] a red line for the [00:01:51] of kingdom. This comes as Iranian attacks continue to threaten energy production and [00:01:55] of distribution. Chief foreign correspondent Trey Yenks reports tonight from Tel [00:01:59] Aviv. Tonight, the Middle East wait [00:02:02] to see how the United States will respond to fresh Iranian escalation [00:02:06] this week. Days ago, a [00:02:08] of US contracted vessel was hit during an Iranian missile and drone [00:02:11] attack, two sources told Fox News. The incident occurred around the [00:02:15] straight of hormous and caused minor injuries, including smoke [00:02:18] inhalation. Some US personnel were on board, though the identities [00:02:22] of the injured are unclear. It is the latest [00:02:25] in a series of exchanges of [00:02:26] of fire, bringing into question what comes next in the Iraq. [00:02:30] conflict, despite the fact that we did accomplish a substantial [00:02:33] destruction, not just [00:02:35] of their nuclear program, but also [00:02:36] of the Iranian conventional military, becomes a television headline, attempted drone [00:02:40] attack on Mecca is presented without giving viewers any necessary [00:02:44] distinction between a Saudi claim and independently established fact, yeah and you [00:02:48] know the the actually the the fact is that once language is repeated by major [00:02:51] broadcasters in that way and echoed by political figures, the emotional impact does the [00:02:55] rest, so this is how they weaponize this idea of [00:02:58] you know - Mecca and and use weaponizing Islam, to [00:03:02] to to do uh, Mecca becomes the center [00:03:06] of the story, enraging people, and the military and the economic [00:03:09] failures surrounding Saudi Arabia receive far less [00:03:13] attention, that's [00:03:14] the other words, the question is not only what happened, [00:03:18] but two things, what the audience is being actually encouraged to [00:03:22] focus on, and what is being pushed out [00:03:24] of the frame, so now watch what happens when we move from propaganda to the [00:03:28] of economic consequences. the war and a video titled US hikes [00:03:32] interest rates as fears grow of global oil shock over Iran [00:03:35] of war, the BBC documents rising energy prices, inflation and borrowing [00:03:39] costs as disruption in the Middle East reverberates through global markets. So [00:03:43] let's take a look at this BBC report. The conflict [00:03:47] a in the Middle East is intensifying the pressure on the global [00:03:50] economy. The US Central Bank has today raised interest [00:03:54] rates for the first time in more than three years to try to curb [00:03:58] stubbornly rising prices. "the move comes despite President [00:04:02] Trump repeatedly calling for lower interest rates. Here, the Prime [00:04:05] Minister has admitted that next month's budget will be challenging after [00:04:09] inflation rose from 2.9% to 3.1%, its [00:04:12] highest level in five months. The rise was driven largely by [00:04:16] the increases in fuel costs. We'll talk to our North America editor Sarah [00:04:20] Smith [00:04:21] in a moment, but first his [00:04:22] in Dashini [00:04:24] of David. Counting the cost on an Essex for [00:04:28] court of a war in Iran with..." has disrupted production and [00:04:32] in cut of fuel refining capacity, it's unlikely to lead to a cost [00:04:35] of living shock on the scale [00:04:37] of the ones seen just after Russia [00:04:39] of invaded Ukraine, still the rising price of filling up [00:04:43] has far-reaching consequences for buyers and [00:04:47] sellers. It's cost me around 70 pounds to fill up, which [00:04:51] is making traveling to and from work quite difficult at the moment. When the [00:04:55] price goes up, we we have to go up with it, there's there's no way around it, [00:04:59] the margins here. [00:05:00] "a a wafer thin on fuel, inflation may have [00:05:04] risen, but it's been more muted than many had feared since the [00:05:07] start [00:05:08] of the Iran war, however we may have reached a turn." [00:05:12] point, economists are now braced for it to top 4% in the [00:05:16] new year as oil and gas prices research, but there's much [00:05:20] uncertainty: energy bills are set for another rise, [00:05:24] food prices could also increase more quickly, that's been [00:05:28] quite muted inflation there, just over 1% so far, [00:05:32] but retailers may opt to pass on more their higher [00:05:35] costs. higher inflation tends to mean higher interest rates [00:05:39] and markets are braced for that and part the reason why we've [00:05:43] seen this, the return on the bonds the government uses to borrow [00:05:47] increasing, which means higher borrowing costs, which spells a headache [00:05:51] for the chancellor, and suddenly the [00:05:55] consequences are no longer abstract geopolitics, higher [00:05:58] energy costs are feeding into transportation, into food [00:06:02] prices, household bills and borrowing, so you know [00:06:06] the people paying the price, as always our ordinary families, far from the [00:06:10] battlefield, yeah, exactly, and the economic... chain is basically straightforward, [00:06:14] energy disruption raises costs, inflationary pressure increases and [00:06:18] governments and central banks face much more difficult choices, the coming [00:06:21] winter could make this pressure even more tangible for households [00:06:25] across America and particularly Europe. exactly, I mean to very different [00:06:29] stories, yet they expose the same problems, wars fought to uh [00:06:33] wars fought in west Asia do not remain confined to west Asia, [00:06:37] they reshape the information people consume and increasingly the [00:06:41] bills they have to... pay for Adam, thank you both, thank you very [00:06:45] much. [00:06:52] from axius exposing secret us zionist arab military [00:06:55] gathering in Germany to the Jerusalem post, reporting [00:06:59] Israeli entity intelligence assistant to Saudi Arabia, the [00:07:03] western digital press is putting a spotlight on regional security ties that [00:07:07] Riyad has long preferred to keep in the shadows. Here are the [00:07:10] headlines. exposes secret us Israeli entity [00:07:14] Arab war coordination in Germany, Jerusalem post [00:07:18] reveals Israeli entity intelligence assistance to Saudi [00:07:22] Arabia. [00:07:29] From the war in Gaza to the escalating confrontation with Yemen [00:07:33] and Iran, new regional alignment is becoming increasingly [00:07:37] visible not only on the battlefield but in the meetings and [00:07:41] security cooperation. being openly reported by [00:07:44] western media to examine what these reports reveal, we welcome back, [00:07:48] digital media experts, analyst fuad, welcome [00:07:52] back, sema, thank you farah, so what's actually particularly [00:07:56] striking in western media this week is this attention that's being [00:07:59] given to this meeting in Germany that's bringing together uh [00:08:03] US and design state of Israel and several arab states so on paper [00:08:07] it was security conference but the participants actually and the [00:08:11] issues discussed raise much bigger questions about where this [00:08:15] alignment could leads, first against yemensar allah and potentially [00:08:19] against Iran as well, so the first report comes from none other than [00:08:22] axios and even the headline tells us how significant this [00:08:26] meeting is being presented, scoop, [00:08:29] us, israeli and arab military chiefs held secret [00:08:33] meeting on Iran by Barak Ravid, so the [00:08:37] report says senior commanders from the US zianist Israel and eight [00:08:41] arab countries met in Germany. to discuss the Iran war and wider regional [00:08:44] tensions and then it explains basically why the meeting matters, so why it [00:08:48] matters? It reads, it was rare opportunity for military [00:08:52] commanders from Israel and Arab gulf countries that don't have diplomatic relations with [00:08:56] Israel to meet and exchange views on the war, and then Axus [00:09:00] identifies who was inside the room, inside the room. In addition to Cooper, the [00:09:04] meeting was attended by the military chiefs of staff of Israel, Saudi [00:09:07] Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and [00:09:11] Egypt. Cooper. reassured the group that the US military would not [00:09:15] withdraw its forces from the region despite Iranian attacks on US [00:09:19] basis. he also briefed his colleagues on the US plan for expanding ship [00:09:23] traffic in the straight of hormos. an Israeli official said Israel defense [00:09:26] forces chief of staff, el zamir briefed the other [00:09:30] participants on IDF operations on various fronts. sentcom confirmed the [00:09:34] meeting saying a statement that it hosted senior military leaders from eight [00:09:38] nations during a scheduled conference in Germany. the leaders discussed [00:09:41] opportunities. for enhancing security [00:09:45] co cooperation in the middle east sounds very friendly when you say it like that and this is [00:09:48] hardly new pattern uh the significance lies though in the openness that we're [00:09:52] seeing Saudi Arabia and Israel have long had security contacts and [00:09:56] coordination but now western media is focusing on it and documenting [00:10:00] senior military coordination of course while Gaza remains under catastrophic [00:10:03] conditions yeah and it also raises at one point and very [00:10:07] uncomfortable question for leaders such as muhammad bin [00:10:10] Salman and Egypt's government and mean, how long can they present [00:10:14] themselves as defenders of Palestinians uh or Palestinian [00:10:18] rights, where their security commanders or security establishment sits [00:10:22] close to Zionist military uh leadership. Yeah, especially [00:10:25] in the context of what's happening between Saudi and Yemen, [00:10:28] and Saudi reports that Saudi is asking help from [00:10:32] Israel, yes, and the second report, actually that we have for today makes that contradiction [00:10:35] even harder to conceal, so the Jerusalem post, the the Hebrew sister [00:10:39] publication of Mariv, reported Israel [00:10:42] provided Saudi Arabia with Intel assistance as huthi attacks on [00:10:46] Riyad's assets continue by Amistein and Amir, [00:10:50] so the article states the security situation has raised [00:10:54] significant concerns. not only among the Saudis, but also among other [00:10:57] countries in the region, according to security sources. The [00:11:01] concern is based a scenario in which the US reaches understandings with [00:11:04] Iran and the Hutis, leaving Saudi Arabia and other countries to face unresolved [00:11:08] threats in the forceeable future while remaining exposed to continued attacks, and [00:11:12] then the article adds, the IDF has already demonstrated requests for [00:11:16] assistance, was likely focused on Intel support to build a [00:11:20] broader picture of Huti military deployments in the area and identify [00:11:24] potential plans for. future operations, the sources said, yeah, so the [00:11:27] carefully maintained image of distance between Riyadh and Tel Aviv is [00:11:31] becoming much more difficult to sustain, the Jerusalem post, as you [00:11:35] said, itself, is reporting sendcom mediated talks and Israeli entity [00:11:39] intelligence assistance to Saudi Arabia, which by the way dates back to the very start the [00:11:43] war on Yemen, yeah, but in light of what's happening now we see it emerge, [00:11:47] light of what's happening now we see it emerge in the media, and when cooperation that was [00:11:51] once whispered about is now being reported in headlines, the question... [00:11:55] isn't really anymore, whether regional security coordination exists or [00:11:59] not, but what it's being ultim organized to confront and what is the [00:12:03] extent of it, not whether it exist, and the picture actually emerging [00:12:07] from these reports is clear, us Israely entity and Arab military [00:12:10] coordination is becoming more visible while Yemen and Iran [00:12:13] increasingly sit at the center the strategic calculations, see [00:12:17] mytainment food, thank you. Thank [00:12:19] you. [00:12:27] From award, the Trump administration claims to have [00:12:30] won to trillions more demanded to keep it going, from [00:12:34] accusations of deception over the economy to growing fury [00:12:38] over Washington's unwavering alignment with Zionist Israel [00:12:42] this week. The official narrative is facing some very [00:12:45] uncomfortable questions. Here are the headlines: [00:12:49] Trump declares victory while demanding 1.5 [00:12:53] trillion more for war. from blaming [00:12:57] Biden to defending zionist Israel, the narratives colliding with [00:13:01] reality, [00:13:09] from the price of war to the price at the pump and from [00:13:12] questions over US military spending to growing criticism of [00:13:16] Washington's relationship with Zinous Israel, Americans on social [00:13:20] media are increasingly challenging the narratives coming up from the Trump [00:13:24] administration. to take us through the post, fueling the [00:13:27] backlash, we welcome back, social media experm and analyst [00:13:31] for adm, welcome back both of you, thank you so much, thank you, so [00:13:35] social media users are certainly not holding back when it comes to the trump administration [00:13:39] across x, because americans are increasingly challenging this official [00:13:43] narrative, particularly when they see billions and now trillions actually [00:13:47] being committed to wars while the administration says everything is under [00:13:50] control, nothing's nothing's wrong, so let's look at some the [00:13:54] posts - that anger so the first post actually highlights this [00:13:57] remarkable exchange which involves senator Kurston, Gilly [00:14:01] Brand and Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, and it's [00:14:04] focusing on the enormous cost of war and the contradiction [00:14:08] between claiming victory while asking Congress for [00:14:11] more money, so GBC breaking gant to Pete Hegg says, so [00:14:15] you're literally asking for $1.5 trillion dollars for a war that president Trump [00:14:19] said he already won, and by the way guys in the first two weeks he said he'd won it, [00:14:23] and the video attached to that... captures the exchange itself, so let's [00:14:27] watch that. unpopular and [00:14:31] unauthorized war abroad is a higher priority to this [00:14:35] administration than their ability to feed their families [00:14:38] and provide healthcare to their loved ones who are [00:14:41] sick. well senator, you're talking [00:14:45] about political tradeoffs and our job is [00:14:47] to to deliver for the united states military [00:14:49] in the president the united states and [00:14:50] we we look at the cost of nuclear Iran and we want to prevent that for future [00:14:54] generation. and that requires funding and supplementals and this budget and [00:14:58] next generation capabilities, and that's why we're here today to request some of that to [00:15:02] ensure we can ensure that Iran never gets a nuclear, so you're essentially [00:15:05] saying, you're asking for literally $1.5 trillion [00:15:09] dollars for a war that president Trump said he already won. you're [00:15:13] asking for $1.5 trillion dollars, unlimited money for [00:15:17] bombs, but insufficient money in the American for the American [00:15:20] people for their healthcare, their food, their housing, and our [00:15:24] farmers. Secretary [00:15:26] Rollins, we have cut snap [00:15:30] program, we are not funding the [00:15:32] losses from emergencies that have happened [00:15:36] in Blue State. [00:16:07] side the political establishment, it's coming from within, questions over spending and [00:16:11] accountability and the administration's claims are increasingly appearing [00:16:15] inside congress itself, yep, and for ordinary American [00:16:18] taxpayer, the obvious question, and also Seima highlighted [00:16:22] that, if the war has already been won, then why another [00:16:26] 1.5 trillion is being requested here, yeah, exactly, exactly, [00:16:30] and the second post actually goes even further, claiming that Republican Congressman [00:16:33] Thomas Massy publicly read articles of impeachment. [00:16:37] against defense secretary Pete Hegsat, so here is how the post presented [00:16:41] it, Ed Krassenstein, breaking Republican [00:16:44] Congressman, Thomas Massy just read articles of impeachment against [00:16:48] Secretary [00:16:52] of impeaching Peter Brian Hegsath, secretary of defense [00:16:56] for high crimes and misdemeaners, resolved that Peter Brian [00:17:00] Hegsath, secretary of defense, also referred to as Secretary of War by [00:17:04] the administration, is impeached for high crimes and demeaners, [00:17:08] and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the [00:17:11] United States Senate: articles of impeachment exhibited by the [00:17:15] House of Representatives the United States of America, in the name of itself [00:17:19] and the people the United States of America, against Peter, Brian [00:17:23] Hegsath, Secretary of Defense, in maintenance and support of [00:17:27] its impeachment against him for high crimes and misdemeaners. [00:17:30] Article one, waging war in contravention the War Powers [00:17:33] Resolution of 1973, section 2C. [00:17:39] so whatever one's political position, the spectacle of law makers in congress [00:17:43] publicly challenging senior members their own administration shows just how [00:17:47] contentious these issues have become, and social media is amplifying [00:17:51] also every confrontation, turning congressional disputes [00:17:55] and to much broader public argument over [00:17:58] whether um over where American foreign policy is heading [00:18:02] and who ultimately at the end the day pays for it, yes [00:18:06] now this next post actually focuses on secretary of state Marco Rubio [00:18:10] showing an angry confrontation in which he's accused of being subservient to [00:18:14] the zinast state of Israel so Israel exposed on x [00:18:18] breaking you're a criminal I know you can hear us with your big ears your [00:18:21] subservient to Israel you'll never be president. Rubio didn't know how to [00:18:25] respond so he walked away looking extremely upset so let's [00:18:29] watch that confrontation war criminal you [00:18:32] should [00:18:33] be ashaming yourself criminal you can hear us with your big ass hears you are a war criminal. [00:18:37] and you should be tried at the hague, you should be disgusting with yourself, all of [00:18:41] your collaborators are disgusting, and it's unacceptable what you're doing to the [00:18:45] American people, shamed of [00:18:48] yourself, whether it's Cuba, whether it's Lebanon, whether it's [00:18:52] you are a criminal, you should be in [00:18:55] jail, you are shit, why are [00:18:58] you harming [00:18:59] the cuban people, you are shit, [00:19:02] a complete shit, [00:19:06] you never be president, [00:19:19] So yet another example of how criticism of US policy [00:19:23] towards Zionist Israel is spilling beyond traditional political debate and [00:19:27] into the streets and social media platforms. Yeah, and finally, we [00:19:31] have a post challenging treasury secretary Scott Vessent over [00:19:35] claims about gas prices and the... [00:19:38] invocation of former president joe biden, [00:19:42] so sarah bellis, scott bessent lies again and blames joe [00:19:45] biden for gas prices, surprise mofo, this isn't fox [00:19:49] news, rep, what's the statute of limitations on the joe [00:19:53] biden blame game? did joe biden wage the war in Iran by any chance? [00:19:57] let's look at that video, when [00:20:01] when does can ask what's the statute of limitations on the joe biden blame [00:20:04] game? what's what's the [00:20:07] buse we're approaching? two-year mark the trump administration, i was a car accident as a teenager, my [00:20:11] b did did joe biden wage the warn iran did he disrupt the [00:20:14] straight of homose, did he shut down 1/5th the world's oil supply and lng [00:20:18] exports, like when in deal blink joe biden is that the motus operanda of this [00:20:22] administration, [00:20:27] the last question cuts directly into frustration, [00:20:31] increasingly visible online, how along can every [00:20:34] economic or foreign policy? problem continue to be [00:20:38] attributed to the previous administration before taking [00:20:41] more decisions, yeah, if it's up to them, they'll keep doing it, but this is [00:20:45] ultimately what makes the post that we've discussed today important, because beyond the [00:20:49] insults... actually in the political theater, which is only the spectacle aspect of it, people [00:20:53] are demanding evidence genuinely and accountability, they're demanding [00:20:57] answers about decisions that are being made in their name in fact and paid [00:21:00] for with their money, so exactly [00:21:04] and thank you both for joining us and that wraps [00:21:08] up our look at the social uh media [00:21:11] store. [00:21:19] pipeline downs attacks on energy and military infrastructure [00:21:22] and the loss of strategically important positions along [00:21:26] Yemen's red sea coast are turning the Saudi Yemen [00:21:29] confrontation into a battle measured in [00:21:33] billions, barrels and territory and the numbers tell a [00:21:36] story. Riyad would rather keep out the spotlight. Here [00:21:40] are the headlines. Saudi billions at risk [00:21:44] as Yemen targets oil infrastructure and strategic positions [00:21:48] from Macca to the... east west [00:21:51] pipeline. The numbers reveal the cost of Saudi Arabia's [00:21:55] war in [00:21:55] Yemen. [00:22:02] When the battlefield is measured not only in territory but in oil [00:22:06] infrastructure, strategic waterways and military positions, the [00:22:10] numbers begin telling very different story about Saudi Arabia's [00:22:13] confrontation with Yemen. To break down those figures and [00:22:17] what they reveal. We welcome senior. [00:22:23] you, welcome [00:22:23] thank you [00:22:24] both of farah, in just weeks the escalation in Yemen has [00:22:28] exposed serious vulnerabilities in the Saudi Lad [00:22:31] camp. Ansarulah's advance along the red sea [00:22:35] coast has included the capture of Macca and the [00:22:38] strategic island of Mayun, according to sources, bringing the group [00:22:42] closer to the Babel Mendib and putting Saudi Arabia's [00:22:46] alternative maritime routines under great, great pressure. so [00:22:50] basically while it presents itself as this regional military power, its own [00:22:53] strategic geography is increasingly being used against it, [00:22:57] exactly, sama, and then we also have the economic dimension [00:23:01] here, Saudi Arabia shut its 1,200 km [00:23:04] east-west pipeline after attacks in the [00:23:08] Riyadh and the Madina regions, now the pipeline had become [00:23:12] particularly important because it can carry [00:23:16] roughly four to five million barrels of crude per day towards [00:23:20] the red sea and by that providing an alternative to the straight of [00:23:23] hormos, so therefore infrastructure actually project designed [00:23:27] to protect Saudi experts from a maritime choke point [00:23:31] is itself now vulnerable to any attack, any moment? [00:23:35] yes, and the pressure did not just stop there. Saudi [00:23:39] Arabia reported attacks affecting abha, khamis [00:23:43] mushait, Jizan and Najran with 73 soldiers [00:23:47] reportedly wounded on September 8th. now so... Saudi Arabia has [00:23:50] also faced reported strikes on energy [00:23:54] facilities, while Ansarulah has claimed attacks aramco [00:23:57] facilities in Yemen, and Nyambu, sorry, and the Khames Mush [00:24:01] military airbase. Actually, this brings us to the strategic question, which is why [00:24:05] is Riyad increasingly looking toward outside powers for [00:24:09] assistance? Yes, that's because the battlefield has exposed [00:24:13] vulnerability that money and advanced weapons have [00:24:16] not necessarily solved anything. Saudi Arabia. has now faced [00:24:20] territorial pressure inside Yemen, threats to its energy, [00:24:24] infrastructure and disruption the red sea route, and when [00:24:28] Washington has become reluctant to open another [00:24:31] direct front, Riyad has reportedly sought Israeli enemy [00:24:35] intelligence, okay, and that's quite reversal uum for a kingdom that [00:24:39] has spend years and years presenting itself at [00:24:43] the dominant military power on the Arabian [00:24:46] peninsula, that's really shocking, yes and "you know the [00:24:50] figures tell the story, the tax reaching saudi energy and military sites, [00:24:54] and these are not simply battlefield incidents, now they represent [00:24:58] pressure on the very infrastructure underpinning Saudi regional [00:25:02] power. Okay, so those numbers certainly put the [00:25:06] Saudi Yemen confrontation into a very different [00:25:08] perspective. Thank you. Thank [00:25:11] you, [00:25:18] throughout history, leaders obsessed. with their own image have used [00:25:21] monuments, statues and grand displays to immortalize [00:25:24] themselves, but what happens when that political vanity takes [00:25:28] on distinctly american scale? professor Putin, [00:25:32] a history educator known for his short form [00:25:36] historical and political analysis, takes a satirical [00:25:39] look at Trump's fascination with self-glorification, [00:25:43] asking what kind of leader builds monuments to [00:25:47] himself and whether Trump is taking that... tradition [00:25:50] even further. Here is the video by professor [00:25:53] Putin. What kind of a leader builds [00:25:57] a monument to himself? Professor Putin [00:26:00] here. Time for mysteries Histories. This should really come as no surprise, but [00:26:04] dictators and authoritarians and absolute monarchs do this. [00:26:08] In stable democracies, leaders wait for history to [00:26:12] judge their legacy. There's been countless historical examples of this, like [00:26:16] Saddam Hussein built a 40-foot statue of himself in Baghdad. [00:26:19] Stalin in the Soviet Union and Hitler in Germany placed countless portraits themselves [00:26:23] across the nation in schools and in homes and Fernand Marcos in the [00:26:27] Philippines even had a giant likeness of himself carved into a [00:26:30] mountainside, but as I said, there has never been a [00:26:34] leader a democratic western society ever who has [00:26:38] erected monuments to himself until [00:26:42] now. Did you guess who it is? I have you said [00:26:45] Donald Trump, you're so smart, give your brain a kiss. Trump has [00:26:49] shattered this historical truism. There's the plans for the 250-f triumphal arch [00:26:53] near Arlington National Cemetery, which Trump has said he has building for [00:26:57] himself. He installed a bronze sculpture of himself in the oval office, [00:27:01] raising his fist. pennsylvania, he installed a 15-foot [00:27:05] golden statue of himself at his golf club, miami where you can find the [00:27:08] maga faithful praying, and there are plans in his presidential library for two [00:27:11] massive golden statues of Trump, and host republicans are [00:27:15] founding over themselves to help anoint the dear leader with proposed bills to [00:27:19] establish such things as the Donald Trump peace prize uh to put his name on the [00:27:23] Kennedy center again to replace flag day with Trump's birthday to rename [00:27:26] dullis international airport after Trump and even a bunkers plan to carve his [00:27:30] face into Mount Rushmore. "this is not what [00:27:33] democracies do 1999, and [00:27:36] Trump is no one else than Mandela, despite his constant [00:27:40] claims on the Nobel Peace Prize, so why is he building these monuments [00:27:44] to himself? an amazing self-owned, and one the [00:27:48] few times when I remember him speaking the truth, Trump has said he is building these [00:27:52] monuments because quote, nobody will do it once I'm gone once I leave [00:27:56] here, no one's going to build monument to me," and quote. [00:28:00] You see, he can tell the truth. Consider yourself [00:28:03] updated. Ladies and gentlemen, with that [00:28:07] we conclude our expose for tonight right here on Press TV. Until next week, question the [00:28:11] headline, trace the source and never surrender your [00:28:13] judgment. [00:30:06] The Soures top headlines: Iran says it remains determined to defend [00:30:10] its national interest and prevent the US from exploiting the straight of horm to [00:30:14] threaten the country.
