[00:02:49] Meanwhile, Iranian foren minister Abbas [00:02:50] in Arakshi of says, Tehran has put forward a clear [00:02:54] seven-day plan to restore maritime navigation through the straight of [00:02:57] hormus, placing the next move. in Washington's [00:03:02] of hands. Iran has conveyed [00:03:06] to the United States through [00:03:10] Qattar a concrete seven day plan. If the necessary [00:03:14] conditions are met, the straight can be reopened [00:03:17] a normal maritime passage restored [00:03:21] within seven days. The choice [00:03:24] of now rests with the United [00:03:26] States. [00:03:31] of Iranian foreign minister Abasarakshi says Washington already has a [00:03:35] clear path to restoring normal [00:03:37] of maritime navigation to the straights of Hormus. He says the proposed [00:03:41] US actions are already covered by memorandum of understanding, [00:03:45] including lifting the maritime blockade, unfreezing Iranian [00:03:49] assets, easing sanctions [00:03:51] of and ending military operations against Iran. Tahron says these [00:03:55] steps could be completed within four to five days, allowing the [00:03:58] straight to reopen by day 6. On day seven, Iran [00:04:02] proposes talks with Washington on mutually agreed issues, [00:04:06] including Iran's nuclear program and final [00:04:09] agreement. [00:04:13] Well, Iranian, foreign ministry spokesperson says Europe must answer for its [00:04:17] participation in the US aggression on Iran. Ismail Bagai [00:04:21] says NATO secretary general Mark Ruth's remarks about the [00:04:24] extensive use of facilities in NATO member states [00:04:28] during the US Israeli aggression. on Iran amount to [00:04:31] a clear admission. He says, the remarks show that Europe [00:04:35] knowingly and actively participated in the war despite previous [00:04:39] denials. The foreign ministry spokesman says Europe must be held [00:04:43] accountable for political, logistic, military, and other forms [00:04:47] of support offered to [00:04:48] of the US and the Israeli regimes that played role in death and [00:04:52] destruction in Iran. Vaghai added that Europe's [00:04:55] role in rising gas prices and other outcomes of this illegal [00:04:59] aggression. should also be investigated as well as Rut's own [00:05:03] decisions and actions in regards to this illegal war as a [00:05:06] NATO secretary [00:05:08] general. A number of [00:05:11] world leaders. have addressed a UN general assembly over the past several days [00:05:15] and representatives from number of other countries will do the same [00:05:19] today and in the coming days. some speeches have drawn praises [00:05:23] while others triggered condemnation. the US president speech, according [00:05:27] to analysts contained multiple false and misleading claims. the [00:05:31] Israeli prime minister's address at the UNGA has also been [00:05:34] slammed as being filled with lies. to discuss this, we were [00:05:38] earlier joined by professor of international law Richard [00:05:41] Fulk. [00:05:46] UN system is built on the [00:05:49] premise of all [00:05:52] countries, all states, big or small, [00:05:55] powerful or weak, being subject to the UN [00:05:59] charter and to international [00:06:02] law, but at the same time the [00:06:06] design the UN was [00:06:09] one that favored the winners of [00:06:14] Therefore the most powerful countries were given the right [00:06:18] of veto, which means that they [00:06:22] have legally [00:06:26] grounded right to free [00:06:29] themselves from the obligation to [00:06:33] uphold international law, [00:06:36] and the US and its European [00:06:39] allies have frequently used. that [00:06:43] veto not only for their own [00:06:46] policies, but to protect their [00:06:49] friends and allies, [00:06:53] principally Israel, when it's [00:06:56] under justifiable [00:06:59] criticism for its failure to [00:07:03] abide by international law, [00:07:06] so we have a situation [00:07:10] where geop. politic was left [00:07:14] in charge of global [00:07:16] security, [00:07:21] well group called for expanding economic times with Iran [00:07:25] and avoiding action that could increase pressure on the Iranian [00:07:29] people. It also called on Iraqis to support Iranian [00:07:32] goods, expand trade and avoid any action that increases [00:07:36] pressure on Iran, describing this as religious duty. The [00:07:40] group accused the Iraqi government and other institutions of [00:07:44] aligning with American policy, saying this intensifies pressure on the [00:07:48] Iranian people. It also issued religious inquiry to [00:07:51] clericks and authorities demanding a ruling on the islamic legal status [00:07:55] of any cooperation with the siege on [00:07:58] Iran. [00:08:32] Hello and welcome everyone to this segment of our news [00:08:36] review of course and let me go ahead and this news review is going to be focusing [00:08:40] on Iran's conditions of reopening the straight off. the lady statements that we have been hearing of [00:08:43] course specifically from Iran's president Mr. Masashgan, [00:08:47] let me go ahead and welcome joining us during this segment in our press tv studio, our [00:08:51] colleague zeinab zakaria, zeinab as always, thank you very much for joining us and joining us [00:08:55] from Shuman Bulgaria, political ass, Mr. [00:08:58] Stanislav, Mr. Bachev, a pleasure and thank you for [00:09:02] joining us during this special segment. Mr. Bachev, let me go ahead and start off [00:09:06] with you, in regards to Iran's conditions on reopening the straight [00:09:10] of hormos, it seems that everything is now going back. to the conditions that [00:09:13] were put down by Iran of course in the mou, of course [00:09:17] their sign between both presidents uh Donald Trump and Mr.kan in [00:09:21] Islamabad, we're going back to there. In that regard, [00:09:25] what do you think we can see as Iran has time and time again shown [00:09:29] that nothing will happen until the conditions that they put back then are [00:09:33] implemented by the US. Thank you for [00:09:36] having me again, I'll be completely clear on this [00:09:40] one, an end game that... changes and [00:09:43] reshapes firstly the whole region and then showing the [00:09:47] world the pattern for the new global security [00:09:51] architecture, this includes the UN by the way, one can [00:09:55] predict that um this is about [00:09:58] escalate even from the positions the two sides, [00:10:02] whatever that would be negotiated or even [00:10:05] discussed in the public sphere would be again a [00:10:09] mutual disappointment, the US cannot admit [00:10:13] defeat, even when it is being defeated, and it is being [00:10:17] defeated right now, and Iran can't and shouldn't accept [00:10:21] something that doesn't legitimize. [00:10:25] new role and the new power dynamic in the [00:10:28] region, in that regard, if Iran shows [00:10:32] weakness expressed by those inside its [00:10:35] elite that desire quick deal with the US, it would bear [00:10:39] a high price against the country. I [00:10:42] think new phase of military [00:10:46] escalation is its way, some would say and are [00:10:49] saying it would come after the mid terms in the [00:10:52] US, but the... precise date or week [00:10:56] or month, they are irrelevant, what is [00:11:00] important that is, it is happening, and it [00:11:03] is happening even now, because it includes both the [00:11:07] preparation time and the spilling the conflict around the [00:11:11] region that we witness already for the last month, [00:11:15] even during these last two days september [00:11:18] 25th and 26th, five [00:11:22] more US military transport airplanes in Sofia [00:11:26] from the UK and then continued to the middle [00:11:29] east, and this is just a part of it, a small part, [00:11:33] this is [00:11:33] the same, the same logistical arm that is still active [00:11:37] and is one the elements Iran must break in order to [00:11:41] achieve the long-term win and [00:11:43] then to sit on the table to negotiate, this would [00:11:47] be in my opinion, the final phase and this time the [00:11:51] result would be final final change of balance on. [00:11:55] multiple local fronts in favor of Iran, this [00:11:59] current escalation and spilling during the [00:12:03] last month is just a step, because it [00:12:06] it doesn't solve and meet both the purposes [00:12:10] of US and Israel, Iran [00:12:14] is dictating the pace and through the hootis is [00:12:18] bringing the wester economies into [00:12:20] crash, if this let me say this as [00:12:24] someone inside the European Union, if this [00:12:28] continues for few months more, and if b and [00:12:32] if the hormous trade and the east-west pipeline in [00:12:36] Saudi Arabia are off, the prices of fuels in the [00:12:39] European Union would be impossible to bear, and the [00:12:43] consequences would spill into every sector the [00:12:46] economy. I said it the last time when I appeared on Press [00:12:50] TV some days ago, but [00:12:53] it is worth repeating, this is... the true nuclear weapon of [00:12:57] Iran uh all this is what [00:13:00] I just said on the multiple layers to the [00:13:04] main leads to one main conclusion the [00:13:08] continuation the war is inevitable if we consider this [00:13:12] new some game well with that Mr Bchev I am going to go [00:13:16] ahead and come back to you let me go ahead and bring in our press [00:13:18] you collect joining us here in the studio Zainab very important points [00:13:22] mentioned there by our seam guest joining us from Bulgaria. in regards [00:13:26] of course the importance the straight of hormos, Iran knows that it has the [00:13:30] US in its script that the conditions have to be [00:13:33] implemented before reopening, and as Mr Batshev said that [00:13:37] this is the straight of Hormus is the true nuclear weapon of [00:13:40] Iran, why is it for our international viewers to better understand [00:13:44] the straight of hormos so important, why of course these meetings have been ongoing [00:13:48] there uh in the UN uh there in New York but and most [00:13:52] importantly I want to go ahead and infer to our viewers [00:13:56] why Iran or those representing Iran of course over there are making sure [00:13:59] that uh the the safety, the benefits the Iranian [00:14:03] nation is at the top, as they have said, we're going back to the mou to [00:14:07] make sure that not only the frozen assets are released [00:14:09] but also stopping the fighting on our resistance fronts and everything that we have been [00:14:13] covering since that agreement uh was signed and the position [00:14:17] that Iran is taking from the and the position that Iran is taking from the very [00:14:20] beginning this is defense for the Islamic Republic um they were [00:14:24] attack. not once but twice during [00:14:27] negotiations, so they have that very beater experience, but [00:14:31] the Islamabad accord was defeat for the United States and [00:14:35] everyone clearly said that if you look at [00:14:38] you know what's the the mou contains, [00:14:42] it's you cannot argue that that is a win for Iran [00:14:45] and and defeat for the United State, but the problem is the [00:14:49] US signed that agreement because it was [00:14:52] desperate to have just the straight... open a little [00:14:56] bit and to start the naval blockade um you know against [00:15:00] Iran so they had um no real [00:15:03] intention of really um adhearing [00:15:06] upon and I think upon and [00:15:10] I think what the Iranians are doing now is to force them [00:15:14] to abide by what they signed uh I mean Trump himself said [00:15:17] that the mou means nothing other than a piece of paper and Iran is saying [00:15:21] well you made a mistake you shouldn't have signed you signed. "and [00:15:25] now you have to comply with what you've signed, if not the straight will [00:15:29] remain closed, I mean the Americans are now celebrating [00:15:33] four ships passing through, three ships passing through when [00:15:37] before..." uh February 29 and the straight got closed, [00:15:40] there were over 200 or in in in [00:15:43] a average space 100 over 100 ships passing [00:15:47] through and that is been felt um you know in the international or [00:15:51] international arena, it's not just united state that is paying for [00:15:55] this catastrophe that they've created every single place on earth [00:15:58] as have their petrol and fuel prices jump [00:16:02] to or some places more than that st or some places more than that [00:16:06] so this is cry. is the United State created [00:16:10] and had no [00:16:11] con concrete plan to um to to to to [00:16:15] answer for it uh let's not forget that the crisis of [00:16:19] fuel and and oil is not just within this region the the crisis [00:16:23] going on within Russia and Ukraine as well with the consistent [00:16:27] targeting of uh you know um infrastructure [00:16:30] for for fuel this is going to create a lasting [00:16:34] crisis for the entire world it's not just even if this straight [00:16:37] reopens today or tomorrow, there is still crisis that will be lasting [00:16:41] in effect for the entire world because of those infrastructures that have been [00:16:45] destroyed, but I think the Iranian point is we're ready for both [00:16:49] just like the Iranian president mentioned, for us we will much more [00:16:53] rather prefer diplomacy because we don't want people to die, [00:16:57] our main objective as as as a government is the [00:17:00] protection the people um so we will rather go through [00:17:03] diplomacy, but if a war is launched everyone will face it and let's... [00:17:07] our viewers once again um before the 40-day war was [00:17:11] launched on Iran, the Iranians are made the same statement we've been [00:17:15] hearing from them that look, if you if you attack us again it's going to be [00:17:18] regional, it's not going to stay within our borders uh you know everyone [00:17:22] will feel it, you're saying the same thing now, do not allow your land to be used against [00:17:26] us, do not participate with the Americans in closing off your airspace to [00:17:30] us, it's very interesting that you know the UAE and the kataries [00:17:34] uh you know among those who are closing off Iranian airspace like to remind our [00:17:38] viewers that um the same thing was done to uh Qatar by [00:17:41] Saudis and the remaining so-called Persian golf states when it's [00:17:45] pulled out from the from attacking Yemen and it was from Iran that [00:17:49] milk and food and dairy products and eggs and bread was [00:17:53] sent uh to uh forgotten but again uh forgotten [00:17:57] but again uh I think many them are banking on the fact that this situation will [00:18:01] remain the same or the Iranians will be wicking I can um from what [00:18:05] we've heard from many Iranians uh they will not forget this and they will not [00:18:08] forget those who turn their back on them, so I think for the Iranians they are going [00:18:12] through, it's either you go through diplomacy or war is what you we will all be [00:18:16] getting, well exactly, I mean Zainab uh, as you did mention, I'm going to take [00:18:20] something that you importantly said there and cross back over to our steam guest Mr. Batch [00:18:24] there in uh Bulgaria uh Sir, in regards to what [00:18:28] Zaynab mentioned, she said that the US signed the MOU back [00:18:32] then because they were desperate, because they were being defeated of course uh [00:18:36] by the Iranian. forces, has the situation [00:18:39] changed in regards to the US, what I mean is, as you have mentioned, [00:18:43] as Zainab has mentioned also in regards to how the US is now [00:18:46] attempting to further pressure Iran from pressuring a neighboring [00:18:50] countries, economically, airlines and so many other ways, has the US [00:18:54] been pressured enough, has Trump been pressure enough by countries around the [00:18:58] world, in Europe, in Africa, and of course uh west Asia and [00:19:02] so many countries around the world, the US itself, because they themselves have been [00:19:05] suffering from these economic... problem specifically because the straight of [00:19:09] horm has been under the control and closed by, but [00:19:13] I'll try to be completely straight forward [00:19:16] here, I think the mou, first [00:19:19] is not a real contract or a treaty, it is an agreement to [00:19:23] start talking, and I [00:19:26] think the goal the United States [00:19:30] and Israel is, yeah, or was, maybe is [00:19:33] again, is playing for time [00:19:37] and... Yes, Iran is so playing for time too, [00:19:40] but giving your enemy air to breathe is [00:19:44] underestimation by itself, and what I mean [00:19:48] is to abide to rules, morals, [00:19:51] dignity at this stage at this point, to think [00:19:55] that a sign agreement or a handshake would [00:19:59] protect Iran is naive, [00:20:03] the mou proved to be not. [00:20:07] wrong but not working because the US cannot be [00:20:11] trusted and I [00:20:14] reiterated this end game here is about to [00:20:18] change the whole region and it's chang get right [00:20:20] now, I think Iran [00:20:24] would make a mistake if they start the negotiation at [00:20:28] this point because it gives the enemy time and [00:20:32] I say [00:20:32] it is not because I'm pro Iranian or pro us, I try to be [00:20:36] objective and... just analytical and [00:20:39] i step over the foundations of [00:20:42] history and i see the process as they unfold [00:20:46] and if you take into account the p [00:20:50] psychology behind the US elite, the psychology the [00:20:54] Israeli elite and so on, and all the dependencies that [00:20:58] are rooted deep down, you you [00:21:02] cannot expect that it would last, and [00:21:06] if you see the build up, the military buildup that is [00:21:09] going on, you you just can [00:21:13] conclude that this is a scam, it [00:21:16] doesn't view [00:21:20] Iran's interest, on the contrary, they are trying to to [00:21:24] buy time, and let me [00:21:28] say this, Iran is prevailing, but at [00:21:32] this point it cannot consume a full victory, because it's it [00:21:36] still hasn't broken neither the US logistical [00:21:39] arm, neither the world economy, but it [00:21:43] is on the right part, and if you consider something [00:21:46] else, Iran has been living under sanctions for. more [00:21:50] than 45 years and it it has and [00:21:54] it is nourishing [00:21:58] and [00:21:58] it is progressing maybe not not with the pace [00:22:02] it wants but still this proves that you can [00:22:06] endure and not many civilizations and countries [00:22:10] in the world can say the same that they [00:22:14] they are the most sanctioned country in the world and [00:22:18] still progress this is called will and this is your [00:22:21] culture and you're defending your culture and it it is worth more [00:22:25] than one or two billion dollars or 20 billion [00:22:29] dollars, well exactly, yes [00:22:33] mr. bchev, do [00:22:34] have to highly apologies, it seems our time has run out, but as always like to thank both of [00:22:38] our team guests for joining us during the segment of our news review, joining us of [00:22:42] course here in our studio, our press of colleague and as always a [00:22:46] pleasure to our political analyst Mr. Stanislav [00:22:50] joining us there from Shuman uh Bulgaria a pleasure as always to both of [00:22:54] you. well viewer with viewers with the end of [00:22:57] that news review we're going to go ahead and end off this hour's bulletin so thank you very much for [00:23:01] watching and please stay tuned for latest updates. [00:23:03] goodbye. [00:23:17] that night was supposed to be night of joy in. Westdack, [00:23:20] at town in Siri County Hormosgon province, families were [00:23:24] getting ready for a wedding, night for new clothes, seeing the [00:23:28] bride and groom, music and laughter and children playing [00:23:32] among their relatives, but at around 9 o'clock on September [00:23:36] 1st, a US military attack on the wedding ceremony changed [00:23:40] everything a matter of seconds. The explosion filled the wedding [00:23:44] venue with smoke and rubble, music and laughter gave way to [00:23:47] screams and cries. In the attack. carried out by US force, five [00:23:51] people were killed and nearly 70 were [00:23:54] injured. one of those killed was four year old [00:23:58] boy named Amir Ali Kharimi. Amir Ali had not gone to war, he had [00:24:02] gone to a wedding. That day, he had taken a bath, fix [00:24:05] his hair and could hardly contain his excitement about going to the [00:24:09] celebration. His mother was supposed to leave a little later with [00:24:13] him and the rest the family, but Amir Ali, his 14 year [00:24:17] old sister, Kiana and several other children left. early, few minutes [00:24:21] later, the explosion happened. Amir Ali's mother [00:24:25] later said there was a terrible sound, everything was filled with smoke, my [00:24:28] heart sank. I ran into the street and started looking for my [00:24:32] children, but she could not find Amir Ali or Kyana. Through the smoke [00:24:36] and dust, she had only one question, where are my children? [00:24:40] Then the phone rang, they told me your son has been killed. Amir [00:24:44] Ali, the youngest child in the family have the chance to hold her [00:24:47] son one last time, but Kina had survived, sharpnell had [00:24:51] wounded her and she was taken to the hospital, doctors saved her [00:24:55] life, but the wound she brought home was not only a physical [00:24:59] one. kyono had witnessed her little brother's final [00:25:02] moments. her mother says that even while she was [00:25:06] injured herself, kyona kept crying and saying I saw blood coming from Amir [00:25:10] Ali's head, I saw him fall to the ground. now [00:25:14] that was supposed to be filled with laughter and memories [00:25:18] after the wedding is now missing. one voice, ami's [00:25:22] voice, and perhaps the hardest question in his grief is this: [00:25:26] a child who only wanted to [00:25:27] go to a wedding and play with his relatives children, why did his [00:25:31] last night have to be spent among smoke, sharpen, blood and [00:25:35] tears?
