[00:00:05] Blue Pill shows you reality, the other lets the story go [00:00:08] exactly where you need to. Choose [00:00:11] carefully. [00:00:16] of What do you see? A [00:00:19] plane, fly [00:00:21] dubai. [00:00:27] of [00:00:33] of [00:00:44] of A pilot a very determined [00:00:48] of plumber. [00:00:51] of of How [00:00:55] does of of he reach the cockpit? He stops following normal [00:00:58] physics. [00:01:00] of [00:01:12] What is the Omani Pilot doing? Thinking about what? Maybe [00:01:15] in he's of of wondering why he's even here. Israel had already screened the [00:01:19] passenger and crew lists. Oman has no diplomatic relations with [00:01:22] Israel, so an Omeny pilot shouldn't have been cleared for this [00:01:26] flight. Maybe that's what he's thinking about. Why doesn't he lock the copping? [00:01:30] He'd have to stand up [00:01:32] of and he'd get thrown across the cockapit, but the plumber can cross 15 rows. [00:01:36] Everything works differently from row 16 [00:01:43] a forward. [00:01:45] of Can't he use the plane to stop [00:01:49] him? He [00:01:52] in [00:01:52] of tries. [00:01:59] of [00:02:04] of [00:02:11] of so the captain is down, the other pilot is tied up with [00:02:15] headphones, [00:02:20] the plumber goes back to do what, fly the [00:02:22] plane, any flight training, [00:02:26] no, simulator, no, then what does he know? [00:02:45] of [00:02:52] You just pull it toward herself and the plane comes [00:02:54] up, that's [00:02:58] what makes it in. [00:03:00] of appressive, who's going to land it? I have something for that [00:03:04] too. From here, I take [00:03:07] over. I'm a [00:03:10] pilot. Me too. [00:03:12] Interesting. Your [00:03:15] turn. [00:03:19] What do you see? An American airman over [00:03:24] of Iran. Not properly. Not properly. [00:03:27] Impact. Heard. [00:03:30] of dead? [00:03:34] no, injured? a [00:03:35] little. [00:03:43] of in of so he waits for rescue? [00:03:44] no, [00:03:52] he climbs. climbs what? the [00:03:54] mountain. [00:04:00] of [00:04:03] Good, [00:04:04] of that's interesting too, of [00:04:09] of course, every crime needs an excuse, and when they don't have [00:04:12] one, they make up [00:04:14] story. [00:04:20] of [00:04:23] of of [00:04:30] قوانه of بخطوط نبيعه [00:04:32] ميزان وكيف بسعر صوت ولا الحض كله طرح بمكانه [00:04:35] اهدى ما هو كل شي باين [00:04:37] of في المحنى الله الله بيشهد مين نحن [00:04:39] of رجاله ضمنطش لك بنضرب حرب الليله ما بنغلك بدك ش بالعاده [00:04:43] in منهدلك مرحب فيك في اولاد الاوتس مندبر حالنا نحل [00:04:47] of اللغش رنيت على نبحه وكله بخش وكشفنا وياما وكله بيصف ولا مره [00:04:51] of نخاف ولا مره ونوس [00:04:55] in بالدفكان. in [00:05:01] of [00:05:01] of in I had done the boycott [00:05:04] campaigns, I had lobbies, politicians, I had [00:05:08] organized protests and marches, but nothing was working. [00:05:12] I've [00:05:21] got you, rather than asking any politician [00:05:24] to shut weapons [00:05:27] factories down, we could go and shut them down [00:05:29] ourselves, [00:05:34] by putting our bodies on the line and our liberty on the [00:05:38] line, occupying these factories, smashing them up [00:05:42] and putting them down, we could take the power back [00:05:45] into our own hands. We know we [00:05:49] had the power, small groups of people with conscience, [00:05:53] morality and few tools are all that's needed [00:05:56] to actually [00:05:57] change. [00:06:06] Our world of drone, our world of drones is [00:06:10] rising fast from delivery. to emergency response, [00:06:14] law [00:06:14] enforcement, [00:06:29] elbit systems technologies are [00:06:32] operational in dozens of [00:06:35] countries with [00:06:38] power and pr. [00:07:17] 'Never in my wildest imagination have I ever even thought that I [00:07:21] would be in such a situation where my daughter is in [00:07:25] prison, she has been arrested for an [00:07:29] alleged action against elbit, the filton [00:07:32] site and causing allegedly [00:07:36] damage to weapons worth around one million [00:07:40] pounds.' ' [00:07:48] to take action against something unjust going on in [00:07:52] my city, take pride in [00:07:53] that. [00:08:24] Direct action is [00:08:25] a form of protest where you [00:08:26] go straight to the [00:08:27] people [00:08:33] that? [00:08:49] what direct action does is it confronts power [00:08:53] a tangible way and it forces power to [00:08:57] confront [00:08:57] itself. [00:09:01] direct action is literally i'm refusing to move. direct action [00:09:05] is not the national parades where police 4 pm we will [00:09:09] decide on 4 pm we will decide on how we are. opposing [00:09:13] you and how we will disrupt until you listen to us, in terms of palestine [00:09:17] action, that means we've given up and asking people to [00:09:21] stop arming Israel and we're going about um dismantling the [00:09:24] arms industry [00:09:25] ourselves. [00:09:43] "It is factory of [00:09:46] revolutionaries. You've never had anything [00:09:49] the nature of Palestine action on the [00:09:53] Palestinian cause in this country work a sustainable way [00:09:57] for this period of time and achieve the [00:10:00] successes that have been achieved. The effectiveness the actions [00:10:04] that they they've taken um has had huge [00:10:08] impact, factories being closed down a contracts being [00:10:12] lost. "It's the [00:10:13] in the interest public actually, for people to know what is happening within [00:10:17] their cities and towns and to be able to have a say [00:10:20] in that, and for a long time [00:10:21] we didn't, but thanks to Palestine [00:10:24] action, now [00:10:24] we know." and we can [00:10:26] act. [00:10:41] I became aware of Palestine action through the kinds of [00:10:45] uh actions that they were engaged in to disrupts the [00:10:48] weapons manufacture and dissemination of weapons over the [00:10:52] course the last three to four years. and mean [00:10:55] immediately clear that they were doing some the most important protest [00:10:59] work and not only in Britain but mean the world, those [00:11:02] people are sacrificing something [00:11:06] for cause far far bigger than them and all of [00:11:10] us and they are giving [00:11:13] themselves, their future, their time, their mental, their [00:11:17] physical health um in order [00:11:21] to articulate a form of love for. [00:11:25] some the most oppressed people in the [00:11:26] world, these are the best of [00:11:30] humanity. [00:11:48] when they ask me why did it, tell them about the [00:11:52] children, how their childhood is st. from [00:11:55] them, how their skeletons are left charred and [00:11:59] smoking, how easily their bodies are crushed by [00:12:03] falling buildings, how their skin melts as their [00:12:06] flaming tents collapse around them, tell [00:12:10] them the boy found carrying his brother's [00:12:14] body inside his bloody backpack, tell them [00:12:17] the girl whose hanging corpse ended at the [00:12:21] knees, tell them the father, [00:12:25] holding up his headless toddler. tell them [00:12:29] the mother who received the approximate weight of her [00:12:33] family in body parts to bury. they'd all been [00:12:36] shattered beyond recognition. then [00:12:40] tell them about the history and talk about how it was us that [00:12:44] started it with our about [00:12:46] declaration. so i [00:12:50] say i cannot stand for this. it can go on no [00:12:54] longer. so I took action against [00:12:57] Elbit, their weapon [00:12:59] supplier, but I never forget [00:13:03] to say that it was love, not hate that called [00:13:06] me. [00:13:10] You know, the images coming out of Gaza on our phone screens [00:13:14] every single day, showing the slaughter of children, [00:13:18] especially of children was, [00:13:21] was very hard for all of us to take, and the... saying for Fatma [00:13:25] Zainab, she did not want to be complicit in genocide, and all these [00:13:29] images, these stories that that were reaching [00:13:32] us, made her feel really helpless and [00:13:36] really distressed and depressed, that you know, [00:13:39] why are we not doing anything, you [00:13:42] know, as individuals, as communities, why are we sitting there with our hands tied? the [00:13:46] UK has has supplied Israel with [00:13:49] material support in order to facilitate its violation of [00:13:53] international law, it is very easy. arguable that the UK is a complicit [00:13:57] actor in the ongoing genocide in Ghazza. Palestinians in Gaza [00:14:01] had been living under a brutal siege by land, [00:14:05] air and sea for over [00:14:07] decade. And when [00:14:10] Palestinians in Gaza marched to the fence which has [00:14:14] entrapped them under this brutal siege for over [00:14:18] decade, to demand their rights to freedom, the right [00:14:22] to return to their homes, a right stipulate. under [00:14:25] international law, they were met and shot and [00:14:29] killed by Israeli [00:14:31] snipers, [00:14:40] we had extreme violations, some of which can be considered [00:14:43] and classified as war crimes in terms of [00:14:46] dark direct targeting the civilians who are partaking in [00:14:50] these uh [00:14:51] demonstrations. [00:15:01] Israel responded by sniping thousands [00:15:04] them - there were thousands of amputs off the back of it and [00:15:08] hundreds of people killed and those sniper rifles, some [00:15:12] them were sold to the israelis by the [00:15:14] British. [00:15:31] So we decided to occupy the weapons [00:15:35] factory in Staffshire. 'we grabbed whatever tools we [00:15:39] could, we got some ladders, we didn't have much [00:15:42] money so we just brought whatever we could from home, we used a [00:15:46] shopping bags to carry the stuff onto the [00:15:49] roof and we were there for three days [00:15:52] and we weren't sure if they would hold us in prison [00:15:56] on remand afterwards that in that moment we had [00:16:00] the power, we could shut down this factory and that is the best [00:16:04] place i have ever been, is top of and is really [00:16:07] weapons factory, shutting it down with hammer in my [00:16:11] hands. [00:16:21] some the best known forms of direct action can be thought about in relation to [00:16:25] resistance to apartide and forms of segregation, [00:16:29] so direct act they disrupted and broke, they [00:16:32] disrupted and broke segregation laws in on [00:16:36] public transports and networks for instance or on food counters, we can think about [00:16:40] examples such as resist about examples such as [00:16:43] resistance to chattle slavery, [00:16:46] it was up, burnt down the property the the peoples who were [00:16:49] enslaving them, all these forms of resistance were holy [00:16:53] illegal, you also have the sufragets movement which went as [00:16:57] far as trying to push Winston Churchill bricks at [00:17:01] 10 downing bricks at 10 Downing Street, [00:17:05] so there's all manner of ways in direct action has achieved [00:17:09] some the things that we actually take for granted and [00:17:13] view as positive aspects of our [00:17:16] society, those were one through direct action they [00:17:20] were fought for from below, not bestowed from [00:17:23] above here at UAV engines in [00:17:27] Chenstone, I'm locking on a van, we've [00:17:30] got couple of guys with [00:17:34] couple of guys with brick breakers. [00:17:39] "this is Elbit's drove, so that's why we are [00:17:43] here, ordinary people, closing this factory [00:17:46] down, that sound you [00:17:50] hear is the sound of ordinary people taking direct [00:17:54] action, let's see how our [00:17:58] fortification [00:17:59] works [00:18:03] against police tools, we've [00:18:06] got to..." take this factory [00:18:08] down, brick by [00:18:11] bick, wall by [00:18:13] wall. [00:18:17] primary purpose is shutting elbit down and causing economic damage, but [00:18:21] if we don't publicize what's happening there, if we don't show [00:18:24] people not only how it's operating, what's happening [00:18:28] within it, the companies that are complicit with this and are supplying them, but [00:18:32] also showing people the bravery that [00:18:35] activists are taking who are going. and smashing up the inside of factory, but when you [00:18:39] see someone take that courage and take that step into action, it means [00:18:43] that you have that conversation with yourself, could I take that action [00:18:47] too? if not me, who, and if not now, [00:18:50] when? I can act to stop [00:18:54] these weapons being manufactured, it's within my power, and I will do [00:18:58] that. [00:19:03] What brought me here today is kind of realization that direct actually... is [00:19:07] probably one the best ways to get your voice [00:19:09] heard. [00:19:14] We are here to shut, we are here to shut [00:19:18] Albert [00:19:19] down. [00:19:28] Protest has limited [00:19:32] effect in this country, and [00:19:35] you know we saw it with Grenfeld, we've seen. with Palestine, we [00:19:38] saw it with the Iraq war. What we're seeing now is that these demonstrations [00:19:42] become - are institutionalized in a way that isolates them [00:19:46] from the rest the community, so you can protest all you want, but the [00:19:50] policy change will remain very minimal, and you [00:19:54] see actually futility of some the [00:19:57] methods that have been used for decades in this [00:20:00] country. People were literally going out every day [00:20:04] and there was no impact, like it wasn't. [00:20:09] that the Israeli government were going to look [00:20:10] at that and do anything and um the only thing [00:20:13] that I saw that I felt was actually going to have [00:20:17] any impact was to stop the weapons that we're producing in this [00:20:21] country [00:20:23] and so that leads you to the point where [00:20:26] you see direct action as actuals delivered [00:20:30] results a tangible delivered results a tangible [00:20:33] way um and a dramatic way. [00:20:38] in in this country, inspired by the Raithion [00:20:40] Nine. [00:20:50] so Raithion are between Raithion and Lockede martin, the [00:20:54] largest arms company in the world at the uh Rathian [00:20:58] building, there's a number of persons inside have taken [00:21:02] over the building and are throwing [00:21:04] items uh computer desks, paper etc. [00:21:08] onto the roadway onto the [00:21:11] roadway, [00:21:15] these were people israeli war on lebanon realized [00:21:19] they had ratheon. factory in derry and [00:21:22] they uh got into the factory, shut it [00:21:25] down, [00:21:35] we then arrested and used the court case as an opportunity to [00:21:39] turn the tables on the [00:21:42] company, so they entered the [00:21:46] court, the accused and they left as the accusers and they were... [00:21:50] able to not only be acquitted, but also Raythion was forced to leave [00:21:54] derry. By seeking to turn the table and take these [00:21:58] corporations to court through direct action, [00:22:01] these these actionists sought to engage the legal [00:22:05] system a rather creative way. Furthermore, this way of [00:22:08] thinking is a way that appeals to the law [00:22:12] and the court of public [00:22:13] opinion. [00:22:28] Palestine is certainly being used and I mean it's not this [00:22:32] is not just kind of claim by activists or Palestinians or [00:22:35] lawyers, this is something that is openly admitted by the [00:22:38] Israeli arms industry and they're selling these instruments of war as [00:22:42] battle as battles tested against the Palestinians. If you [00:22:46] go to the DSEII arms fair which happens every two. years in [00:22:50] Excel, London, you will find Israeli corporations [00:22:54] using a demo videos uh on how these weapons [00:22:58] were used and conducted in Palestine. [00:23:02] Israel has a constant guiney pig, which is the [00:23:05] Palestinians. Guine Pigs for how we can control them, [00:23:09] Guine Pigs for how we can watch them, Guine Pigs for how we can study them, Guine [00:23:12] Pigs for how we can kill them, that the UK and the Israeli military [00:23:16] industrial complexes are actually quite integrated. Now [00:23:20] an important aspect of this was the watchkeeper drone. [00:23:24] Since becoming operational in the IDF in the mid 1990s, [00:23:28] Hermas family systems logged more than 400 thousand operational [00:23:32] flight hours in more than 40,000 successful combat [00:23:35] missions for various forces around the globe, [00:23:39] making them the most versatile and reliable tactical unmanned [00:23:43] aircraft platform in the [00:23:45] world. Elbit [00:23:48] systems is uh military technology [00:23:51] company that is officially incorporated in Israel, [00:23:55] but as a multinational corporation, it has uh different [00:23:59] subsidiaries all across the world, it produces weapons primarily for [00:24:02] the Israeli state, however it also exports its weaponry [00:24:06] to uh state actors all around the [00:24:08] world. [00:24:13] it produces many the missiles, drones, [00:24:16] armory and that's been used to pumel gaza. [00:24:20] is also deeply integrated with the Israeli state. Israeli [00:24:23] officials are frequently at elbit events. i'm here in [00:24:27] bristol uh for the opening the new elbit [00:24:30] factory and i'm very very proud the Israeli technology. elbit [00:24:34] is defense technology uh company Israeli that [00:24:38] based here in the UK has factories in Kent and in [00:24:41] Bristol. we quickly [00:24:45] identified Albert Systems, Israel's biggest weapons firm as [00:24:49] our main target. Elbit systems are the [00:24:52] very manifestation the Israeli military [00:24:56] regime here in Britain. We knew they were operating in [00:25:00] towns and cities across Britain. We also [00:25:03] understood the impact it would make if Israel's biggest [00:25:07] weapons manufacturer was forced out of a country, [00:25:11] one their strongest allies, and not because the government said [00:25:15] so, but because the [00:25:16] people. You knew that. elbit [00:25:20] systems under under the subsidiary UAV tactical systems, we're [00:25:24] operating an arms company and a manufacturing [00:25:27] hub where they're assembling drones to be shipped off to [00:25:31] Israel from there, and the idea there is if you're on the roof of [00:25:35] factory like the the British health and safety rules means that no one can actually be [00:25:39] underneath you until they take you off, so just being there shut down a [00:25:42] factory, the idea was to occupy it for long as long as we could, [00:25:46] and um yeah just keep that factory shut shut down, yeah? so [00:25:50] this is day this middle the sixth day top of [00:25:54] Elvit's factory in Leicester, police have been dening us water [00:25:57] for a couple of days now, [00:26:00] yeah uh... resulted to every time it rains [00:26:04] scraping water off the tent. this morning um i'll just show you over [00:26:08] here um made a hole in the [00:26:12] roof and we can see down into the main workshop where they [00:26:15] assemble killer drones just around the corner there that's [00:26:19] the end the drone you see on the right there so we reckon this is where they [00:26:23] assemble the drones ready for shipping towards Israel to [00:26:27] be tested on palestinians it was kind of that moment of like we [00:26:30] are so definitely the right place doing the right thing [00:26:34] um and yeah and that that was that was the [00:26:38] same day that that was that evening the police came to take us down [00:26:42] and like it was with that happening in the morning the police coming take us [00:26:46] down that we kind of picked up the sledge hammer and hammers and we just like we [00:26:50] need to k this this place needs to be shut down for as long as possible and we just did as much [00:26:54] like as we could to the to the top of it um i remember this guy [00:26:58] graham from the police showing don't do that that's not going to help your cause which has [00:27:01] been uh i think successfully proved [00:27:03] wrong, [00:27:08] actually that occurs is [00:27:09] it is really important action that occurs it is really important for local community [00:27:12] members to get involved, people came out and droves, so now we had [00:27:16] convoys coming from across [00:27:18] Leicester, [00:27:23] we had people coming outside the factory, people were staying over at [00:27:27] night because we could tell that like the activist on the roof they were [00:27:31] struggling. [00:27:37] and then we glued ourselves to the roof just to stay out for a bit longer, you [00:27:41] understand? [00:27:47] once we were arrested and put into the police fans, [00:27:50] something that they hadn't really banked for was the leaster community and quite [00:27:54] how spectacular they [00:27:56] are. [00:28:03] the police were trying to get down um the activist [00:28:07] from off the roof and in that time you know uh the lester community had [00:28:11] mobilized a lot of people there were call outs they were standing in front the police with [00:28:14] riot shields police had come with their [00:28:16] vans [00:28:27] while they were busy trying to unglue us and have people on the roof i [00:28:31] remember their conversation. in my year and there was this guy saying just on the [00:28:34] radio, a bit concerned, there seem to be people putting barriers [00:28:38] up against the entrance to the factory, by the time they'd got us in the vans later that [00:28:42] night um, the whole entrance had been barricaded a total [00:28:46] people-powered blockade the [00:28:48] factory [00:29:02] every single one these actions has often a small [00:29:06] number of people dressed up in red boiler suits maybe doing some damage or doing the [00:29:09] action and huge number of people supporting that to happen and supporting [00:29:13] it for years [00:29:14] afterwards. [00:29:18] when it came to 2023 when the there was a siege [00:29:22] held by palestine action outside the alester elbit factory, our community were like, [00:29:26] okay, these people have been manhandled by the police, the all their [00:29:30] tents are being confiscated, but they want to... continue the siege, [00:29:34] so lester people came and gave blankets and food supplies [00:29:38] and everything for the activist to be able to continue in what they firmly believe that they [00:29:41] should be, what they firmly believe that they should be there, you [00:29:44] know, [00:29:52] areas do not want an Israely weapons factory operating on [00:29:56] their door step, and they can also be key driving [00:29:59] force in forcing the company. out their [00:30:03] city, those community members took direct action [00:30:07] themselves, when people were on the roof - and being refused [00:30:10] things from the police, they threw things up, when police tried to remove [00:30:14] activists, they blocked the road, and then crucially they carry on, and [00:30:18] then crucially they carry on and they come out after every action, ones [00:30:22] on the roof
