[00:00:00] Press TV Iran secretary chief warns that American assets, [00:00:03] including key data and AI centers will be struck if the US [00:00:07] wages [00:00:08] of of another war. Despite earlier denials, the [00:00:12] Pentagon admits that the number of troops killed in the aggression against [00:00:15] Iran is higher than previously reported with nearly 900 [00:00:19] entries. And finally, Trump and [00:00:23] Zelinski trade barbs over the announced diesel deal with Russia, with the [00:00:27] US president saying Ukraine needs a new leader. [00:00:38] of of [00:00:45] Hello [00:00:45] in and welcome everyone, you're watching Press TV world news, let's go ahead and get started with the [00:00:49] stories that matter. Iran's top [00:00:53] security official says the US has suffered defeats after defeats [00:00:57] against Iran, and that's why Washington has to... [00:01:00] turn to economic [00:01:01] of war against the country. In an exclusive interview with Press TV, [00:01:05] major general Mohsin Rai said the US has failed even [00:01:09] to end the war. The secretary [00:01:11] of the Supreme National Security Council said, an end is in the [00:01:15] hands of Iran, and they will not stop their resistance until they gets what [00:01:19] is rightfully theirs. Razi added that the US is the [00:01:23] root [00:01:23] of the problem concerning the straight of Hormus. The general said Iran [00:01:27] seeks management [00:01:28] of the straight to ensure. regional security, especially in the Persian [00:01:32] Gulf. It is that he also warned that [00:01:34] of American of assets, [00:01:35] of [00:01:35] of including key data and AI centers, key data and AI [00:01:39] centers will be struck if the US wages another act of [00:01:43] aggression against Iran. You can view the full interview on Press [00:01:46] TV in the coming up. [00:01:49] of Well, despite earlier denials, the US War department has admitted that the [00:01:53] number of troops who have died in the aggression against [00:01:57] of Iran is higher than previously reported. According to the Washington [00:02:01] Post, the [00:02:01] a Pentagon in its latest report [00:02:03] of has raised the official death tool of US [00:02:06] a troops a linked to military aggression against Iran to 21, [00:02:09] acknowledging that two additional deaths had not previously been [00:02:13] included in its figures. The newly included deaths are an [00:02:17] army major who [00:02:18] of died in Kuwait on March the 6th [00:02:20] and an unidentified navy [00:02:21] a service member who died by suicide in September. The updated figures [00:02:25] also showed that 865 [00:02:29] US members have also been wounded during the aggression [00:02:33] against Iran. Separately, the U.S. military confirmed the death [00:02:37] of another soldier in Iraq, claiming that he lost his life [00:02:40] in a training accident, [00:02:42] of unrelated to the aggression against Iran. The update came after the [00:02:46] Washington Post [00:02:47] in reported last month that the number of casualties from the war was [00:02:51] greater than what the Pentagon has disclosed publicly. At the [00:02:55] of time, US War Secretary Pete Hagseth called the reports a complete [00:02:59] lie. [00:03:07] For his part, author and journalist Robert Fantina says, although Trump [00:03:10] portrays the aggression against Iran as necessary and downplays [00:03:14] its [00:03:15] of human and financial cost, the American public sees it as an [00:03:18] unnecessary war of choice that has been very [00:03:23] in costly. now the [00:03:28] of recent uh uh revision of numbers up to 21, one [00:03:32] might say is only two soldiers, however, for those two [00:03:36] soldiers in, that's [00:03:38] of extremely significant, and the fact that the United States government was willing to [00:03:42] ignore them or avoid their reality, certainly felt [00:03:45] degraded to not only those victims in their loves, but [00:03:49] all the military who are being forced into [00:03:53] of this awful situation, so Donald Trump [00:03:56] wants the U.S. [00:03:58] in populist to look at this as [00:04:00] of something unimportant, not costly in terms of lives or [00:04:03] money, and just [00:04:05] in just necessary military adventure, it is none [00:04:08] of of those things, it has been extremely costly in terms of lives and [00:04:12] money, and it is a completely [00:04:14] unnecessary and illegal and immoral aggression [00:04:18] against Iran. there does seem to be something a little [00:04:22] in unusual about that, if nearly 900 were injured [00:04:26] and only 21 died, and again I'm not minimizing [00:04:28] in any way the lives of those. were lost, but it does seem to be [00:04:32] rather strange proportion. now the soldier [00:04:36] who died in Kuwait apparently was killed [00:04:39] when the Iranian forces [00:04:43] attacked US bases in in Kuwait, so the [00:04:47] fact that only one person died in that uh, we can see it [00:04:51] is fortunate, but is it true? meanwhile, [00:04:55] US president Donald Trump says, it's time for Ukraine to get new [00:04:59] president, after he announced a deal with Russia on diesel [00:05:02] supplies. Trump said Ukrainian president Voladimir Zelensky [00:05:06] could have ended the war with Russia [00:05:08] Jesus many times but [00:05:09] Jesus chose not to. He criticized Zelinski for ignoring. warnings against [00:05:13] striking Russian refining facilities, saying Kyev had been [00:05:16] told not to hit the refineries because of its fallout a global [00:05:20] scale. Trump's comment came as the Ukrainian looks like [00:05:24] a quote birthday present, looks like a quote birthday present [00:05:28] had said on Friday that had said on Friday that [00:05:32] will lower fuel prices will lower fuel prices [00:05:36] to sell more than 30000 to sell more than [00:05:38] 300,000 tons of diesel to the US and global. [00:05:42] markets, analysts have cast doubt that the agreement [00:05:46] worldwide, [00:06:01] worldwide. welcome everyone to this segment [00:06:04] of news review. well, from Istanbul to [00:06:07] Berlin to London, multiple European cities have witnessed large pro- [00:06:11] palestine route. is on the third anniversary the beginning of Israel's [00:06:15] genocidal war on Gaza, other cities around the globe, including [00:06:19] Washington and the US have seen such demonstrations as well. [00:06:23] The rallies are are at fever pitch worldwide, are at fever [00:06:27] pitch worldwide over the regime's crimes in the region. We're now [00:06:31] discussing this issue with our guests in our news review program. [00:06:35] Let me go ahead and welcome in our team guest joining us. First of all, of course, joining us [00:06:38] here in our Press TV studio is our colleague Nahied Puraisa. Nahid as [00:06:42] always, thank you very much for joining us and also joining us from Beirot [00:06:46] is Etter and Chief at Mina Uncensored Miss Laila Hatum, Miss Hatum, a [00:06:50] pleasure to you as well. Miss Hatum, let me go ahead and start off with [00:06:53] you in this regard, as we did mark the other day, the third [00:06:57] anniversary of course since the beginning of this genocidal [00:07:01] war on Gaza, but what we are covering today is the way the [00:07:05] world has reacted. Let's going to start off in regards to how [00:07:09] the image the science regime, not only from October 7th. [00:07:12] 2023, but up until now, three years later, has [00:07:15] indeed started to fade away from what people have thought the science regime [00:07:19] was, came out to be something completely [00:07:21] different. well, first of all, good [00:07:25] afternoon to you, to your viewers and guest as [00:07:28] well, it's it's very interesting to see how things [00:07:32] progress over the past three years, yes, they have been hard, they have been [00:07:35] catastrophic on the humanitarian side, on the legal side, [00:07:39] and on all aspects in this region, the Palestinians have been... [00:07:42] devastated by one blow after the other for the past eight decades, but I don't think [00:07:46] that they have passed through something that's this harsh like the people of Gaza are [00:07:50] facing at the moment [00:07:51] and the ethnic cleansing that's happening in the west bank as well. I do [00:07:54] believe if you put the genocide aside and everything else, [00:07:58] the change in sentiment of populations [00:08:02] across the world over the past three years towards the Israeli [00:08:05] entity and how the world actually woke up to the [00:08:09] reality on the ground of what's happening in Gaza and in Palestine. in general and [00:08:13] even in Lebanon and Syria and elsewhere, this created a wave of [00:08:17] hatred towards the Israeli entity because the masks have been off. I do [00:08:21] believe that the Israelis with all the violence and trying to intimidate the people of this [00:08:24] region made the final blow or what you call they shot themselves in the foot [00:08:28] by exposing the real genocidal, criminal nature to the world, [00:08:32] and this caused the change across the world in terms of how [00:08:36] people perceive the Israeli occupation entity and the Israeli settlers [00:08:39] themselves. At the end the day we're seeing a growing. support [00:08:43] for the palestinian cause, but not only that, we're seeing [00:08:47] also foreign governments at one point in time being [00:08:50] forced by their own populations to relinquish the Israeli [00:08:54] entity or steer away from it or at least cut ties or limit the ties [00:08:58] with it, just like Spain, like Italy, like among basically other European [00:09:01] nations and elsewhere. I do believe what's happening today is [00:09:05] is testiment that violence breeds violence at one [00:09:09] point, but it also breeds sympathy. with the people the land [00:09:13] and the cause at the same time, but when we do talk about [00:09:17] change, let's go and bring a Nahid, nahid in that regard, if we go back to [00:09:21] three years ago, when of course demonstration, protest around the world did [00:09:25] start, they started step by step, people came out very peacefully and their sit [00:09:28] ins of course, holding their placards, their banners, and then it started upping the [00:09:32] situation when the governments that still support the zions regime of course and their allies with the [00:09:36] us started cracking down, arrests started happening, beating started happening [00:09:40] and now we have Hollywood Stars, we have... political figures, we have so many [00:09:44] people who are risking their careers even to make sure that the truth is [00:09:48] told and that they're fed up with it, in regard to how this change has been going [00:09:51] step by step, nahidan what you expect, mean three years on the next [00:09:55] step to be? sure, well uh, if we go back to [00:09:59] three years ago, the uh term of [00:10:03] zionism wouldn't be as negative as it is [00:10:07] today, i remember even people who [00:10:10] were calling themselves liberals, they would [00:10:14] dare to say bad zionism and good [00:10:17] zionism everything is over now, [00:10:21] and it Israel and the definition of... [00:10:25] of zionism has been definitely exposed and people [00:10:29] understand what exactly imperialism the [00:10:33] United States and Zionism in the region stand for, stand [00:10:37] for genocide, but as you mentioned, there is [00:10:40] very obvious pattern of escalation [00:10:44] among the crowds all around the world and all around the [00:10:48] world, and let's not forget the uh [00:10:52] was about cease fire. "it was about [00:10:56] not like it wasn't a very radical [00:11:00] demand at the beginning, people were just asking, we don't [00:11:04] want to see more blood on our television, it has to be [00:11:08] stopped, but gradually people understand [00:11:12] that there is no way of seasing the fire except [00:11:16] for the zionist entity to be completely [00:11:19] dismantled, this is one thing, the other thing is about [00:11:23] the the war in in..." fire axis of resistance, the [00:11:27] support that the day after of October 7, Said Hassan [00:11:31] ordered Hizbollah to enter the world to support Gaza [00:11:34] and right now the Iran war, yemen war, [00:11:37] Iraqis, all around the axis of resistance and the question [00:11:41] for the global audience, for the one who is supporting the cause of Palestine [00:11:45] changed to that, okay, how [00:11:48] practical, how how much I'm going to support [00:11:52] actually Palestine? I support Palestine, but don't support [00:11:55] Islamic Republic of Iran? That was the question for maybe two [00:11:59] three years ago, but today everything has become [00:12:03] very simple for the especially for [00:12:07] western activists to understand that you can just [00:12:11] verbally protest against genocide. You have to [00:12:14] be concrete in your support for the cause. [00:12:18] Otherwise there is no actually logic [00:12:21] in between the lines of your support if "if you [00:12:25] really want to stop Zionist from killing children in [00:12:29] Gaza, then there are more questions for you and there are more [00:12:32] topics for you to search and to actually deepen your [00:12:36] understanding of what resistance actually means [00:12:39] exactly we of course when it comes to the relation [00:12:43] the axes of resistance and of course defending [00:12:47] Palestine, not just defending them, but of course you have to go all the way back to the [00:12:50] situation that this is also embedded in the religion of course in [00:12:54] Islam. that as we have heard from our murder commanders from [00:12:58] Ali Khamenei, sayid, Ismail Han, of [00:13:02] course, and all many, so many more, in that [00:13:05] regard that the end the path is about praying in [00:13:09] alqdus and dying or being murdered on the path to [00:13:12] al Qudus. Miss Hatum, let me go ahead and bring it back to you, let's go ahead and talk [00:13:16] about something that was also very significant during these past three years, is one [00:13:20] these steps that the people, it's not just that they put their [00:13:24] own freedoms. in that regard, we also have of course the [00:13:27] action from the people against their own governments, whether we're talking about the elbit [00:13:31] systems, the isiness, of course Albert Sipsons, where they were talking about people [00:13:35] protesting and preventing ports to uh ship weapons [00:13:39] there on vessels to the science regime, it's the people that have also come up against [00:13:43] their own government to protest the [00:13:45] situation. well, you have to understand [00:13:48] when the population in the west and across the world tries multiple times to reach [00:13:52] out to their officials and they see [00:13:55] that their governments are inept or unwilling to move against the Israeli [00:13:59] occupation any point to stop this genocide, despite the [00:14:03] fact that it's their duty and obligation under the statute of Rome to [00:14:06] stop any genocide that they see, right? so when people are fed up with their [00:14:10] governments not moving, they are bound to move at one point in [00:14:14] time, it starts with few activists on the ground and then everybody [00:14:17] basically goes after them, and in that sense we saw how [00:14:21] few activists started attacking Israeli war. [00:14:25] manufacturing factories across Europe, especially in UK [00:14:29] and elsewhere [00:14:29] and including elbate systems, and we saw the governments trying [00:14:33] to repress these people and oppress them, and that's when the population started [00:14:37] saying, no, we're not going to have an Israeli practice against us in our own [00:14:41] country like you're doing [00:14:42] in in palestine and elsewhere, and we're not going to stay silent, so we started seeing mass [00:14:46] protests on the ground, and to a certain extent the most [00:14:50] zionist governments in the world started attacking their own [00:14:54] peace. protesters, so we saw the German police where I [00:14:58] do believe the nazis still are still [00:15:00] in rule and they continue to support the zionists in the Israeli entity and I call them Zion [00:15:04] nazis, they can they started beating up peaceful [00:15:07] protesters, detaining them, in the UK they detained a 98 year old [00:15:11] woman, they detained basically a blind man, they detained [00:15:15] what you call a man on wheelchairs, so those people don't pose any [00:15:19] threats, but those governments were trying to repress the voice because the more [00:15:22] people actually joined these protests, the more the... will be awareness, and they [00:15:26] failed to do so. They literally did what the Pharisees or [00:15:30] basically what we call the zinast Jews back during the times of Christ tried to do the [00:15:34] Christ and his disciples. They tried to repress them. "and [00:15:38] eventually because people saw that this is injustice and this is basically [00:15:41] oppression, people started joining that side and growing and [00:15:45] growing against the Israeli entity and the government supporting it. same thing goes for [00:15:48] the US, same thing goes for France, but I do believe at one point in time [00:15:52] there's a what you call double edged sword, because the Israelis [00:15:56] are now taking advantage of violent violent triets and claiming that [00:16:00] Palestinians are doing it in France and elsewhere so that they can serve [00:16:04] this western sentiment against the Palestinian." and I do believe that people [00:16:08] are aware of this situation and they're not going to fall for these what you call [00:16:11] practices either by the intelligence apparatus their own country that supports the Israelies [00:16:15] or the Israeli infiltrators? well I [00:16:18] mean a head on that point as Miss Khatum did mention this has [00:16:22] this started a few countries and now we have been of course reporting that over the [00:16:26] past the course three years that has grown to the entire world [00:16:30] demonstrations and almost every country on the world are standing [00:16:34] solidarity with the Palestinians as we did mention the global action [00:16:37] day uh united for palestines, so many other organizations have [00:16:41] been uh united in that regard for the Palestinians. now [00:16:45] that it's global, I mean, how has this been impacting the [00:16:49] anti-Israel sentiments, because every since the situation, the [00:16:53] reality is is that whether we're talking about international organizations, the most recent of course the [00:16:57] UNGA, United Nations General Assembly, Netanyahu was still allowed [00:17:01] to come at there to New York, give his own speech, so even though the [00:17:04] entire world is united for one cause, then community is still on [00:17:08] another atmosphere, basically another world, [00:17:12] well one the beauties of October 7 was [00:17:16] actually the space that this [00:17:19] revolution provided for the global audience to [00:17:23] see that international law and international [00:17:26] organization are not only [00:17:29] uncapable of defending the [00:17:33] human rights of especially global south citizens, but [00:17:37] also there there is reason, it's not just [00:17:41] simply, it's not just simply about the hypocrisy [00:17:45] of western powers, talking about human rights [00:17:49] and doing something else, they actually created all [00:17:52] these imperialist organization after world war ii to make [00:17:56] sure that they are safeguarding their own interest, and this [00:17:59] is what has been [00:18:02] clearly televised, I would say for the global [00:18:06] audience after. October 7, okay, where is human rights, [00:18:10] where are women's rights when it comes to Gaza, where is [00:18:14] children's right when it comes to a slaughtering [00:18:17] over 20,000 children in Gaza or [00:18:21] what is happening in Lebanon or Yemen and elsewhere actions of [00:18:25] resistance, so the the the entire [00:18:28] concept that I would say the western [00:18:32] values were very successful in framing, especially [00:18:36] after World War II, now think after October 7 [00:18:39] is under question, not only by under question, not only [00:18:43] by analys or whoever is interested in [00:18:47] geopolitics or anything else, it's by very [00:18:50] ord ordinary citizens the world that I don't, [00:18:54] I don't trust this to be another alternative [00:18:58] for the current situation, because I don't want to see children [00:19:02] being slaughtered and there is no act, there is nothing [00:19:06] except for living. UN when Netanyahu is coming, it's [00:19:09] not enough, it's not enough, almost 100 thousand people have been [00:19:13] slaughtered or more and the only thing uh the [00:19:17] global powers are doing, which is okay, which is good [00:19:21] to see, but way more than that, it's [00:19:24] required to stop the zionist [00:19:27] from killing people in West Asia, I would say, exactly, [00:19:31] now he, I mean as you to mention, enough is not enough simply by talks or peaceful [00:19:35] protesting, it's the action that we have been talking. about of course during the segment that needs to [00:19:39] be increasing and the segment that needs to be increased and only in that way as [00:19:43] you did mention uh the genocide of course in Gaza will support the axy [00:19:46] resistance and everyone around the world who does not want to bow down to [00:19:49] occupation or to humiliation on that point let me go ahead and thank [00:19:53] my team guest for joining us during this segment of news review and nahid [00:19:57] puraisa joining us of course here in our Tahan Studio Press colleague thank you as always [00:20:01] naheed and Miss Laila Hatum editor and chief of mina uncensor joining us [00:20:05] there from Beirout Miss Hatum thank you as well. [00:20:09] Well viewers with that we go, thank you very very much for joining and thank you very [00:20:12] very much for joining and [00:20:14] goodbye. [00:20:33] One morning, the balance of power in west Asia was. [00:20:38] October 7th was not simply another day of war, [00:20:42] it was the moment, decades of assumptions, alliances and [00:20:46] security doctrines began to collapse. [00:20:55] And as the battlefield expanded from Gaza to the heart the [00:20:59] region, one question became impossible to [00:21:01] ignore: what was Iran prepared to risk and [00:21:05] how far would it go for Palestine? This is the story of [00:21:09] Iran October 7 and the confrontation that changed [00:21:13] West Asia [00:21:14] forever. [00:21:24] Welcome back everyone, well thousands of demonstrators have taken to the [00:21:28] streets the turkish city of Istanbul in support of Palestinians [00:21:31] demanding an end to Israel's [00:21:34] gen. [00:21:47] Filistin'de dökülen. "I am here [00:21:51] so that the blood of poor young children, of people, of innocent people being shed [00:21:55] in Palestine will stop. Israel must now put an end to the blood [00:21:58] it is spilling around the world and stop this genocide. We Muslims, and [00:22:02] not only Muslims, but all people in the world, must finally put an end to this [00:22:06] oppressor's game and stop the bloodshed. [00:22:09] Waving a Palestinian and Turkish flags demonstrators marched through [00:22:13] Istanbul on the Global Day of action for Palestine.
