[00:00:00] force [00:00:00] of and ever since then, ever since that action, when they went on [00:00:04] the roof in May 2021, the locals go out, they [00:00:08] maintain the disruption, they [00:00:10] of maintain the protests outside that [00:00:13] factory. so the [00:00:17] British [00:00:18] of government um cancelled the watchkeeper drone contract, which was [00:00:22] worth two billion [00:00:23] pounds. [00:00:29] at the crater of... Western Civilization, [00:00:31] of of US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio tells a familiar [00:00:35] story: Persians as villains, Athenians as [00:00:38] heroes, but is that history or just Washington's preferred [00:00:42] vision? Persians plundered the temples, [00:00:46] they burn the shrines, they raised the acropolis to the ground. Case [00:00:50] closed, not so fast, history has habit of [00:00:54] talking back. [00:00:57] Alexander, he had great respect for the Persian. culture, a little [00:01:01] inconvenient for narrative that reduces Persia to an army [00:01:05] of of Barbarians and Oscar winning filmmaker Oliver Stone [00:01:08] has message for those lecturing the world its past. I think [00:01:12] westerners don't understand completely in Persia. I would [00:01:15] suggest and Persia. I would suggest this book is is a [00:01:19] in great place to [00:01:20] start. [00:01:25] Washington may think it can dictate the narrative, but history has [00:01:29] outlasted. fires before, and it has a warning for those who think [00:01:33] they can rewrite it. you cannot change history, you'll be defeated [00:01:37] by the forces of history, which are inevitable, and americans seem to [00:01:41] believe [00:01:41] me that they can change that. this is insanity, this is [00:01:45] of the, it defeats us [00:01:45] of every [00:01:45] time. [00:01:52] me [00:02:00] When you take action, there must be an internal [00:02:03] coherence to your action, like [00:02:07] stealing of statue [00:02:08] of the state of Israel's first prime minister, or damaging [00:02:12] picture, a cultural artifact [00:02:14] of the British colonization of [00:02:16] Palestine. [00:02:23] Shortly after we started, we saw escalation in police tactics [00:02:27] of against us, it was to stop us from speaking. out, it was to [00:02:31] stop us from acting, it was to stop palestine action from growing. The [00:02:35] way that the [00:02:36] me Palestinian cause was pleased, the way that direct action for Palestine [00:02:40] was policed, was a holy different level. To [00:02:43] be [00:02:44] of grown to the floor by [00:02:45] of police, in violently arrested, showed to [00:02:49] me exactly what the state thought about [00:02:52] Palestine. [00:02:58] I think that's that was one [00:02:59] of the main. things that led me to take action, woman called [00:03:03] Mariam [00:03:06] afifi, [00:03:10] i watched her being put in handcuffs and she was smiling at the camera and that was that was [00:03:14] inspiring for me, i think that was one one [00:03:16] of the big um one [00:03:18] of the big reasons why i felt like taking action in [00:03:22] birmingham [00:03:28] so he hit uh fac'. in Birmingham [00:03:32] the company was arconic and um [00:03:35] they uh there are [00:03:39] of aluminum rolling mill they they're [00:03:43] controversial for more than one thing [00:03:45] they um [00:03:48] make uh parts for the f35 fire [00:03:51] jet but then there's also um grenfall [00:03:58] me tower on [00:04:02] the uh 14th of June [00:04:04] 2017, fire spread across the [00:04:08] building and because [00:04:09] a of the iconic cladding it moved up, [00:04:13] down and around the building and - killed [00:04:16] 72 people. whilst the actions happening [00:04:20] um, you know, it's it's [00:04:24] fundamental to remember who you're doing it for [00:04:27] of and who you stand by whilst doing it. I was, I was [00:04:31] remembering [00:04:31] you know stories of um, people [00:04:35] from, from every floor in the Greenfall [00:04:38] Tower. We wanted to show solidarity through [00:04:42] actions, not just another statement, but by targeting the [00:04:46] company which was both [00:04:47] in responsible for the murder of people in Grenvel [00:04:51] and in Palestine. The same [00:04:54] company which disregarded human lives in Britain are the same [00:04:58] ones who supplied. the materials for Israel's f35 [00:05:02] fighter jets used to massacre people in [00:05:06] Palestine in Lebanon and across the Middle [00:05:09] East. [00:05:23] so the arms trade connects Britain to the ongoing genocide [00:05:27] in multiple ways, uh, first of all, Britain is a part the [00:05:30] F-35 program, which uh, which is the NATO program, [00:05:34] supplying war planes to Israel, now over 15% of [00:05:38] every single F30 fighter jet is produced in [00:05:41] Britain. components made by UK-based arms [00:05:45] factories. [00:05:54] UK is in violation of number of its [00:05:58] international obligations when it is uh [00:06:02] when it's exporting weapons to Israel, including the duty to prevent [00:06:05] genocide, the duty to cooperate towards ending the uh Israeli [00:06:09] occupation of Palestine, the duty to protect the... [00:06:13] so the directors of arms factories across Britain that have been [00:06:17] targeted by Palestine Action have often tried to [00:06:21] distance themselves and tried to distance themselves from kind of [00:06:24] responsibility for where those arms are ending up [00:06:28] classified based on hundreds of not thousands of [00:06:31] cargo documents that we obtained is that there are various [00:06:35] factories across the UK and many of which are [00:06:38] either elbit or subsidiaries of elbit that they have been. [00:06:42] porting to Israel amid the Gaza genocide, so [00:06:46] what we've managed to do basically is to prove in real time which [00:06:50] arms factories in the UK have been exporting to [00:06:54] Israel and despite repeated denials on the part the directors [00:06:58] the arms factories, is that on? [00:07:02] so this we understand this to [00:07:05] be the roof that gives us access to [00:07:09] the clean room where they make... [00:07:13] parts for the f35 f35 [00:07:17] clean [00:07:18] uh f 35 fighter jets so we believe that [00:07:22] if we can contaminate this room [00:07:25] that we can put this [00:07:29] factory i have action for up [00:07:33] to 12 months it's [00:07:35] fine whoa [00:07:39] jesus oh my word 'there [00:07:43] we go, as [00:07:46] we saw the genocidal campaign escalate, so our [00:07:50] actions needed to match that in terms of severity, people [00:07:53] started to break inside factories [00:07:56] regularly, you talodine [00:07:59] alarms, [00:08:05] more people were coming forward and saying i'm going to do it, and they were literally [00:08:08] getting inside these factories and causing millions of pounds worth'. [00:08:12] of damage clean room [00:08:15] two [00:08:26] someone up security [00:08:29] security stay together stay [00:08:32] together stay [00:08:33] together. [00:09:03] Ready, yeah, one, two, two, [00:09:06] three, [00:09:11] give a hand. Come [00:09:14] on, [00:09:21] let's [00:09:21] go! [00:09:58] Thank [00:09:59] you, [00:10:03] free power [00:10:04] signs. [00:10:13] Let's see what we [00:10:15] have, [00:10:20] someone finally got the alarm [00:10:21] off. [00:10:30] police are [00:10:31] here, [00:10:35] have you glued the [00:10:36] doors? [00:10:46] this is what happens when you work [00:10:47] with. [00:10:53] okay now. stick together guys, stick together [00:10:57] guys, we stick [00:10:58] together, [00:11:03] please the [00:11:03] head, [00:11:11] you good, and [00:11:11] sh, [00:11:18] yeah, do [00:11:20] it, we don't have [00:11:24] to leave. [00:11:33] Yeah, gives us time to fuck about in which case, check - [00:11:37] no other [00:11:37] entrance [00:11:43] is going to [00:11:43] just nice, nice, [00:11:44] okay, [00:11:49] yeah, yeah, yeah, got it, got it, got [00:11:53] it, okay, Good, good, good, good, let's go for drives, smash up [00:11:57] drives, you guys smash up drives, I'm going to bandage my [00:12:00] hands, [00:12:10] wow, beautiful, [00:12:12] have look, it's actually a really nice morning, it's [00:12:14] beautiful, [00:12:22] yeah, we're just trying it open. [00:12:25] Leonardo, [00:12:28] yes, amazing. Let's see, [00:12:32] Leonard. [00:12:42] Fab, go, [00:12:45] go. [00:12:53] Thanks. [00:13:18] Criminal damage to prevent a war crime is not a crime, when you put that [00:13:22] before most juries in this country, they... you will see that for what it [00:13:25] is, that these are people doing what they can within their means to [00:13:29] try and prevent the greater [00:13:31] harm, [00:14:00] 'We were allowed by our judge to talk about Palestine and to talk about and to [00:14:04] put in front the jury how drones are used to share export [00:14:07] licenses from UAV tactical systems to [00:14:09] Israel and it means that [00:14:13] you get fair trial, when juries get to hear the whole [00:14:17] truth like that, they generally speaking [00:14:21] find people in Palestine action not guilty.' [00:14:30] Shortly after the genocide esc. shortly after the genocide [00:14:33] escalated in Gaza we saw the against Palestine [00:14:37] action. Actionists were being raided [00:14:40] every week if different homes were being searched across the country by the [00:14:44] police. We knew at the start of Palestine [00:14:48] action. The state would do everything possible to try and stop us [00:14:52] before we drove Israel's weapons trade out. [00:14:55] Britain and we weren't going to let them [00:14:57] win. [00:15:02] Through freedom of information requests, we've been able [00:15:06] to establish as fact that there has been [00:15:10] constant coordination and meeting over the [00:15:13] years between Israel, Albert Systems, the British [00:15:17] government. You then have the case of [00:15:20] 2022, pretty potetel at that [00:15:23] time as Homes. [00:15:37] in the judicial process, but we have been in contact with the [00:15:41] police about this. within a month of that [00:15:44] meeting was the first conviction of a palestine [00:15:47] action activist. next meeting that took [00:15:50] place um between a British [00:15:54] government minister and elbit systems [00:15:58] also included somebody representing the crown [00:16:01] prosecution service. now this is very likely [00:16:05] to be violation of of 2.1 [00:16:09] the Crown Prosecutions Code of conduct, [00:16:13] which says that they must behave an independent [00:16:17] and impartial way, without political [00:16:20] pressure. The fact that arms companies [00:16:23] can and are able to go to the [00:16:27] government and to lobby them directly to say [00:16:30] impose hartia sentences on activists is in [00:16:34] itself very telling of where we are. [00:16:37] with AI [00:16:42] Elbit systems presents Latius Search and attack in [00:16:45] one, new innovative autonomous lethal solution, based on [00:16:49] racing drones, the Lannius conducts GPS navigation, [00:16:53] flight, scanning, mapping enemy detection and lethality a [00:16:57] complex urban environment. [00:17:01] technologies Is that equipped allows navigation to building, scanning the [00:17:05] building to identify openings. Scanning and mapping, object [00:17:09] avoidance, enemy detection and [00:17:11] classification. [00:17:16] Lanius, search and attack in [00:17:18] one. [00:17:24] Living in Gaza means you are forced to hear this sound every [00:17:27] day, almost every [00:17:29] hour. [00:17:37] عند ما بدك تحس حالك بدك تنام بتحسها فوق [00:17:40] راسك. [00:17:46] i could tell you for sure that haven't talked to anyone in gazza or [00:17:50] heard any recording in gazzah in the past year where i didn't [00:17:54] consistently hear the voice of a drone at [00:17:57] whatsoever any moment. the idf has been [00:18:01] systematically using drones in its campaign in gaza [00:18:04] the past 16 months. these... have been used to [00:18:08] bomb civilians, israel and Israeli corporations are now marketing [00:18:12] that as very effective uh, very effective ways [00:18:16] of killing, they're emitting sounds such [00:18:18] as of women or babies crying a kind of perverse attempt to [00:18:22] law palestinians out their homes to tend to [00:18:25] um [00:18:26] the and using them to bomb them afterwards and using them to bomb them [00:18:29] afterwards. [00:18:46] so first of all we've had testimonies from uh doctors who were in the [00:18:49] grounds who described direct bullets [00:18:53] coming to children through these quadcopters, we've also heard [00:18:57] accounts of pregnant women who were targeted by quadcopters [00:19:01] and also targeting of journalists, so Israel is kind [00:19:05] of at the cutting edge as well of... technology and [00:19:09] by way of its experience of testing these different forms of [00:19:12] drones um in Palestine in [00:19:16] Palestine. [00:19:40] What [00:19:40] I think I found particularly disturbing was [00:19:44] that um bomb would drop maybe on [00:19:47] crowded tented area and then the drones [00:19:51] would come down [00:19:52] and [00:19:56] please take your time, it's we're incredibly grateful that you're [00:20:00] making the time to be here, [00:20:02] so the drones would come down and pick off [00:20:05] civilians children. and we [00:20:08] had description after description, this is not you know an [00:20:12] occasional thing, this was day after day after day operating on [00:20:15] children, he would say i was lying on the ground after bomber [00:20:19] dropped and this quadcopter came down and hovered over [00:20:23] me, [00:22:03] The Filton 18 undertook Philton 18 [00:22:07] undertook an unprecedented operation over million pounds [00:22:11] worth of damage to that facility. I think it's important for [00:22:15] us to understand that when [00:22:19] we're told. Filton is a research center, it's [00:22:23] absolutely not that. It homes, it [00:22:26] hosts, killing machines. This is [00:22:30] machinery that is created on UK soil, with UK [00:22:34] state complicity and investment that is [00:22:38] targeting and killing innocent children [00:22:41] and civilians on mass a daily [00:22:45] basis. [00:22:56] Fatima zainab was arrested on the 6th [00:22:59] of August, that's one day after she turned [00:23:01] 20. [00:23:11] Fatma Zainab has always been an advocate for social justice, I would say [00:23:14] that's one of her most defining character, and when [00:23:18] the when the genocide. It started in October 20 started [00:23:22] in October 2023, it had a massive [00:23:26] impact on her, as family all the [00:23:30] national marches, the emergency protests and rallies, we would [00:23:33] be in all them, and I think there came [00:23:37] point where Fatma Zainab was getting really distressed and very [00:23:41] helpless that you know were marching week and week [00:23:44] out, the government's not listening, our voices are being [00:23:48] unheard, um... [00:23:50] and [00:23:53] and that she needed to take action herself, do [00:23:57] something more than just marching week in, week out, and it's an [00:24:01] incredibly difficult time, because we're not only having to deal with the grief [00:24:05] of um, witnessing a real-time genocide take [00:24:09] place every single day, but top of that we're having to [00:24:13] deal with the absence of our loved ones because they [00:24:16] have tried to do something to stop that. [00:24:20] We're all proud of her, [00:24:21] you know, we're all proud of being where she is for for [00:24:25] why she is in prison, [00:24:26] you know, and and even you know when I visit [00:24:30] her, I tell her you need to hold your head up high, because you, you know, you're [00:24:34] not going to allow anyone to criminalize you, because you haven't done anything that [00:24:38] you need to be ashamed [00:24:39] of. [00:24:56] now the police response to this action has been quite [00:25:00] extraordinary. they've used counter terror legislation to detain and [00:25:04] remand - many of those activists in [00:25:07] prison and to the extent that they were moved from one site to another [00:25:11] site without anybody who knows them being made aware that they had been moved. they were [00:25:15] effectively rendered incommunicado from the rest the world. you have [00:25:18] seen..." people detained on [00:25:22] remand for a long time, but initially under counter terrorism legislation, [00:25:26] which meant there were numerous ways in which [00:25:30] they could have more harsh [00:25:34] um treatment justified supposedly [00:25:37] a cell all day with the lights on, all night with the lights [00:25:41] on, regular disruption, and with fatima zainab [00:25:45] I couldn't see her until three weeks into her arrest, the the [00:25:49] government had has abused [00:25:52] the the use of counter terror powers to arrest [00:25:55] the the philton group to interrogate them day [00:25:59] and night um [00:26:01] and then because the the terror connection that they're now [00:26:05] labeled with, the the consequences in [00:26:09] prison on remand have been horrific for [00:26:12] all them. it is safe to say that the worst legal framework to [00:26:16] use in such case is the terrorism framework. the terrorism [00:26:20] discourse has been heavily critiqued by justice [00:26:23] theoris, by human rights lawyers, by being a way to [00:26:27] evade the rule of law and creating an otherwise [00:26:31] called. space outside the law into [00:26:35] whatever annoys the [00:26:37] government. [00:26:47] The state realized that imprisoning people had failed to stop [00:26:51] the movement. They realized that rating people's homes has failed to stop the [00:26:55] movement. This was the first time we had seen [00:26:59] the state try and say that these actions could... mount [00:27:02] terrorism, despite being arrested under the terrorism [00:27:06] act, none them were charged with terrorism [00:27:09] offenses, but the counter terrorism police continue to [00:27:13] lead on this investigation. [00:27:17] the police have sought escalate the [00:27:20] repression and use counter-terrorism legislation to [00:27:24] try and suppress Palestine action. but what we've [00:27:28] seen is that people wanting to join and get [00:27:31] involved. has risen as [00:27:35] the repression has [00:27:36] risen, [00:27:43] they calling a terrorist like they don't [00:27:46] know who the terror is when they put it on me tell them [00:27:50] this i'm all about peace and love peace and love but [00:27:54] they're calling a terrorist like they don't know who the [00:27:58] terror is insulting my [00:28:00] intelligence [00:28:32] when they put it on me tell them this i'm all about peace and [00:28:36] love peace and love but they're calling [00:28:38] terrorist they the a like [00:28:42] terror don't [00:28:43] who [00:28:43] is insulting my [00:28:44] intelligence. [00:29:04] Looks like we're finally done [00:29:05] here, I wouldn't hold my breath [00:29:09] just [00:29:10] yet. [00:29:59] Press TV headlines, Iran's security chief tells. [00:30:02] STV that the US response to Terron's conditions [00:30:06] freeopening the hormos straight is inadequate and contains [00:30:09] ambiguities, it must be cleared. The IRGC Navy warns [00:30:13] all vessels not to turn off their navigation systems during [00:30:17] hormos transit, saying all ships doing this will be considered hostile and [00:30:21] targeted. Hamas strongly condemns Israel's threat to assassinate the [00:30:25] head of its political bureau stressing that the regime's threat amounts to [00:30:28] organized state terrorism.
