It's not an interview, it's [00:00:06] a conversation. Let's [00:00:11] of talk. [00:00:17] Russia is yet to comment on Donald Trump's announcement of [00:00:22] of energy cease fire in the Ukraine conflict. Now [00:00:24] the US statement appears to have caught Zelensky by [00:00:28] surprise as he says the key. would only [00:00:31] in agree if Moscow does the same, the [00:00:35] Europeans have given the Russians more money, [00:00:39] they have since the start of this war than they have given the Ukrainians, because they [00:00:43] cannot win themselves off Russian energy. [00:00:46] Washington blasts EU's hypocrisy over Russian [00:00:50] energy imports as German opposition officials [00:00:54] demand their own Trump style diesel deal with [00:00:56] Moscow. It is about ending the sanctions. against Russia [00:01:00] about building the capacity for [00:01:02] of peace rather than military readiness. The hoofies strike [00:01:06] iad's [00:01:07] main international airports three days in a row, killing more [00:01:10] than dozen people and wounding over [00:01:13] 300. [00:01:22] a Welcome to RG International reaching you with all the latest [00:01:26] updates from around the world. I am Michael. [00:01:30] Russia has yet to comment on Donald Trump's proposal [00:01:34] for Moscow in Kieve to stop attacking each other's energy [00:01:37] infrastructure. Well, this comes after a diesel deal was reached [00:01:41] between Vladimir Putin and his American [00:01:44] counterpart. [00:01:47] Effective immediately, there is an energy sacefire in the war between [00:01:51] Russia and Ukraine. Both parties have agreed, do not break [00:01:55] it. This is the second time in mere weeks that [00:01:59] we've... Donald Trump come out and declare an [00:02:02] of energy cease fire between Russia and Ukraine this [00:02:06] time, as last time, [00:02:08] of Zelensky coming out within minutes to [00:02:10] of comment of and saying that, well this is the first time he's heard of [00:02:14] of it, saying that if Russia and the United States have agreed on an energy cease [00:02:18] fire, well please inform Ukraine and that [00:02:21] Ukraine would be [00:02:23] of willing to join in, now that is a far cry from what we heard [00:02:27] last time when Zelensky put forward. slew of [00:02:31] precondition saying that Russia would also have to hold hold [00:02:34] strikes on Ukrainian logistics and also hold [00:02:38] strikes on Ukrainian shipping after Zelensky himself [00:02:41] ordered his military to begin targeting Russian shipping, [00:02:45] nevertheless uh Donald Trump coming out and saying that well perhaps [00:02:49] it's it's time for new leader has [00:02:52] certainly made Zelensky more pliable, should have never [00:02:56] started, you wouldn't have lost 30% of your country already. [00:03:00] "you've lost 30% of your country and you've had over [00:03:04] million people killed, but he could have settled it many times and he [00:03:08] chose [00:03:08] of not to. that's a war that should have never started, and I think it's time [00:03:12] for Ukraine to get new president, [00:03:16] of suddenly things that were impossible previously have [00:03:19] become possible. Zelensky of course saying that [00:03:23] elections simply couldn't be held in Ukraine, [00:03:26] of that simply too many people had [00:03:28] a left, that too many people had. become [00:03:30] in Russian citizens living across the donbas and Zaparoja region [00:03:34] in Hirson region, suddenly elections are [00:03:38] again possible. Please tell [00:03:41] Putin, give us two months, 60 days [00:03:45] of total [00:03:47] of cease fire, 60 days and we will organize [00:03:50] elections, of course we will be ready for any choice of [00:03:54] our people, exactly Ukrainian [00:03:57] of people, and that is exactly what... Russia has been [00:04:01] referring to, and perhaps even Donald Trump himself, saying [00:04:04] that every deal that they put forward to Zelensky, every [00:04:08] offer is rejected on the basis that [00:04:12] Zelensky puts forward counter [00:04:15] demands that make any deal impossible. In this [00:04:19] case, two-month seizfire for Zelensky to [00:04:22] organize elections, something that [00:04:25] in Russia had previously said it would simply be unable [00:04:29] to... except [00:04:30] of because those two months would be used by Ukraine to [00:04:34] show up its military to rearm, retrain its troops [00:04:38] and Ukraine would be flooded uh pumped to the [00:04:42] teeth with weapons, with munitions, with [00:04:46] drones, with rockets and missiles for [00:04:50] round two. Russia has said that it managed to [00:04:53] organize elections during the [00:04:56] conflict, indeed Ukraine launched its big. attack on [00:05:00] Moscow during those September parliamentary elections [00:05:04] in Russia. Nevertheless, the elections were [00:05:07] of successful and so could UK. Nevertheless [00:05:11] that is uh... Zelensky's style to put forward [00:05:15] conditions which make simply any deal [00:05:18] impossible. Zelenski even felt confident enough [00:05:22] to accuse Trump multiple times of [00:05:25] being weak for engaging with [00:05:28] Russia. He called the president week, two days [00:05:32] ago and bombed oil refineries moments after the president announced a deal [00:05:36] with Russia. Let's stop pretending that he's a good ally. [00:05:40] Now Zelensky's complaint is the... It's [00:05:43] him rather than Putin that Donald Trump is [00:05:47] pressuring that again uh the the [00:05:51] American president is displaying weakness [00:05:55] according to Zelensky by pressuring Zelensky. This [00:05:58] is the same Zelensky that has put [00:06:01] Ukraine on the hook of Europe and the United [00:06:05] States. Almost all those rockets and munitions shells [00:06:09] coming into Ukraine are from the United. [00:06:12] states paid for by Europeans, so of course there's [00:06:16] a pressure mechanism on Zelensky, whereas [00:06:19] Russia isn't dependent on the United States or Europe [00:06:23] for anything, nevertheless Zelensky believes it is [00:06:27] he personally who is the victim, why [00:06:31] are they blaming you for the continuation of [00:06:34] this war? because these [00:06:37] people can't find a key how to [00:06:41] stop Putin. because it's [00:06:45] more difficult to stop [00:06:49] Putin than to pressure others. Nevertheless, [00:06:53] now Zelensky much less defined than he had [00:06:57] been previously. There [00:06:58] are also now reports that the Ukrainian negotiation team [00:07:02] in the United States in Miami for talks was [00:07:05] threatened by the American side with cut in [00:07:09] unicion supplies if you can. in [00:07:12] strikes on Russian oil refineries for [00:07:15] a little background, Russia before this conflict supplied more than [00:07:19] 10% the world's oil exports, it [00:07:23] supplied more than 20% of global natural [00:07:27] gas exports, there was a huge [00:07:30] quantities that even if the conflict in the middle east [00:07:34] hadn't broken out and cut supplies from there a [00:07:38] shortage of Russian supplies would be felt in every country in the world. [00:07:42] Well, the United States is on the eve of elections. It is often said [00:07:46] that Americans vote at the pump and incredibly reliant on [00:07:50] cheap fuel. Now that the United States and [00:07:53] Russia had made deal to supply diesel to supply [00:07:57] also uh uh raw oil. The [00:08:01] Ukrainian side Zelenski coming out and saying he would continue [00:08:05] to burn Russian oil refineries is insulting of [00:08:09] course for Donald Trump himself, [00:08:12] but it's... seems that this time, after [00:08:15] second round, the worst falling out between [00:08:18] Zelensky and Donald Trump since early [00:08:21] 2025, Zelensky has become [00:08:25] more pliable, now while Donald Trump is [00:08:29] trying to broker an energy deal, peace deal between Moscow and [00:08:33] Kiev, the Kramlin says that Vladimir Zelensky appears to have no [00:08:37] intention of resolving the conflict [00:08:39] peacefully. [00:08:42] Zelensky is a state of hysteria. If he were capable of deliberate [00:08:46] rational action, he would be showing inclination toward peace negotiations [00:08:50] right now, but he isn't. Instead, he demands more capabilities, more [00:08:54] money, infrastructure access and the green light to strike deep into Russian [00:08:58] territory from all his overseers. He demands funds for air [00:09:01] defense, long-range weaponry and so on. In short, his [00:09:05] seria drives him to favor aggression against Russia, aggression he believes [00:09:09] will be effective. This is a mistake, a tragic mistake. for [00:09:12] Ukraine, so earlier we spoke with former [00:09:16] US Marine core intelligence officer Scott Ritter, he says that the [00:09:20] expiration date for Zelensky making demands has long [00:09:23] passed as he is not in the position to dictate any [00:09:27] rules. Vlodimir Zelinski, I mean it's [00:09:31] it's difficult to call him president, even though he claims that title is, it's been [00:09:34] pointed out, his mandate expired a while back and [00:09:38] he um, hasn't held a new election, but [00:09:42] uh... Zelensky is in the position to dictate terms to [00:09:45] nobody uh, he's losing the war on the battlefield, he's [00:09:49] losing the war economically, he's losing the war uh [00:09:53] politically, both at home and abroad. um, the the bottom [00:09:57] line is that the president trump is absolutely correct here, that [00:10:00] uh, it's time for Zelensky to go, the question is [00:10:04] uh, who will replace him and will this alter [00:10:07] the uh, the the the reality that currently [00:10:11] has uh then over Ukraine, Ukraine is defeated state, [00:10:15] the uh experiment that Europe and the United States foisted on [00:10:18] Ukraine uh in beginning this conflict um by [00:10:22] empowering western Ukrainian nationalists. experiment has [00:10:25] failed, and unless you replace Zelinsky with somebody [00:10:29] who recognizes the failure of this experiment and [00:10:33] acts accordingly, you're just going to get a continuation the [00:10:36] same. So oil prices have fallen on [00:10:40] expectation of increased Russian supplies, although quotes [00:10:44] still remain above $100. Now, as part the US [00:10:47] Russia diesel agreement, Moscow will supply more than [00:10:51] 300,000 tons of diesel to American. and [00:10:55] global market followed by a further half million tons [00:10:58] in November. Now, according to President Trump, [00:11:01] additional 1 million tons will be delivered immediately thereafter, with [00:11:05] another 3 million tons to follow depending on the condition of [00:11:09] Russia's refineries. Now US treasury secretary Scott [00:11:12] Bessent has accused European leaders of hypocrisy. [00:11:16] This is in response to the EU foreign policy chief [00:11:20] speaking out against uh Washington's energy deal with [00:11:23] Moscow. "the Europeans have [00:11:27] given the Russians more money, they since the start of this [00:11:31] war than they have given the Ukrainians, because they cannot win themselves [00:11:35] off Russian energy. They had a failed energy [00:11:39] policy, and Vladimir Putin, the they [00:11:42] continue to fund him, so for them to say [00:11:46] that we cannot have re respit in diesel [00:11:49] pricing is completely [00:11:51] hypocritical. All right." [00:15:25] We've had very useful conversation and I'm sure that [00:15:28] this is going to have a positive [00:15:32] impact on [00:15:34] developing. [00:17:37] we support this context, we have always stood in favor of [00:17:41] uh seeing Israeli security [00:17:45] insured in the context the complete setttlement their relations [00:17:49] with their arab neighbors and in the context the complete [00:17:53] settlement of all the outstanding issues in the middle east based on the UN [00:17:56] security council resolutions and of course by these will also mean [00:18:00] the establishment state as the [00:18:07] We can see that there there is a chance to promote this [00:18:11] agenda, but to accomplish [00:18:14] this, [00:18:18] that чтобы would [00:18:22] make [00:18:23] decision everyone. [00:18:38] They're still recovering from that piece of news about the diesel [00:18:41] deal and yesterday Trump announced that there is an [00:18:45] agreement to see strikes on the energy infrastructure of [00:18:49] Ukraine in Ukraine and in Russia, so my question [00:18:52] is is this agreement, has this [00:18:56] agreement been truly reached and does Moscow confirm there is such an [00:19:00] agreement [00:19:00] and if yes then what are it [00:19:03] terms? [00:20:50] continue to accomplish the goals the special military operation, [00:20:53] everyone is well aware what these goals are, we have never [00:20:57] changed them, unlike Zelensky [00:21:01] and his European [00:21:01] masters, so we [00:21:05] don't have to justify ourselves in front [00:21:13] moscow attacks on civilian facilities and airports in Saudi [00:21:16] Arabia, and what practical role can rus [00:22:50] the same as China and Iran spoken favor the dialog among [00:22:54] all the Persian gulf literal [00:22:56] states, and I come from this [00:23:00] assumption that if some practical steps are [00:23:03] made towards making the countries in the region to [00:23:07] agree among themselves without any interference from the [00:23:10] outside, I believe this is will be the most realistic way [00:23:14] to find a durable [00:23:17] lasting. the involved states, thank [00:23:21] you. all [00:23:25] right, we've been watching the sav, russian [00:23:27] there foreign are minister in his press briefing [00:23:31] with his lebanese counterpart and talking to the [00:23:35] press. now, few things he mentioned there, which I like to highlight here, [00:23:39] he said that the both countries, that is Russia and Lebanon assess the [00:23:43] situation, that's in their discussion, assess the situation [00:23:47] in the conflict between Israel and Lebanon, know that the issue has [00:23:51] still been on where southern part of Lebanon has been [00:23:54] occupied by Israel. now he said that in their discussion, [00:23:58] they looked at the uh UN resolutions on the issues [00:24:02] around the middle east and he assured the [00:24:06] continuation of engagement to guarantee security [00:24:10] for [00:24:10] all countries involved, including Israel and her neighbors [00:24:14] especially from the framework the two state solution which [00:24:17] is resolution by the United Nations. and now [00:24:21] uh he also uh hinted that Russia looks [00:24:25] to increase school scholarship for Lebanese students from [00:24:29] about present 150 to something around [00:24:32] e 180 or 200 and so on these [00:24:36] are some the points he made there among [00:24:40] other answers where he was they were feeling [00:24:43] questions from journalists in there so let's get back to some the [00:24:47] stories that we have been bringing you around the [00:24:50] world, [00:24:54] now Vladimir Zelenski has been stepping up his efforts to [00:24:58] secure additional support by reaching out to leaders across [00:25:02] Europe. Now this comes Amid Trump's later statements about the [00:25:06] Ukrainian politician and the need for elections in [00:25:09] Ukraine. Now he has spoken with heads of state from [00:25:13] France, the UK and Poland attempts to get [00:25:17] their backing. Now some [00:25:20] the same countries that Zelensky has appealed [00:25:24] to clearly have not benefited from breaking [00:25:28] up trade relations with Russia, at least according [00:25:31] to uh data there, so in [00:25:34] the UK, for instance, the fuel crisis brought on by sanctions on [00:25:38] Russian energy have cost its economy and estimated [00:25:41] 183 billion pounds over four [00:25:45] years, including higher household electricity and heating [00:25:49] bills. Now in France the government's energy tariff shield [00:25:53] has helped minimize the impact on consumers with the [00:25:57] bank the France estimating its fiscal cost at around [00:26:01] 2.2% of dp over 2022 and [00:26:04] 2023, but in Germany, economic losses [00:26:08] linked to mitigating the energy crisis are estimated to [00:26:12] have exceeded 50 billion euros. now Claudia [00:26:16] Witig, a German opposition politition from the [00:26:19] BSW party argues that restricting trade with [00:26:23] Russia has only hurt Europe and its consumers, [00:26:26] particularly in [00:26:32] see no major contradiction acknowledging that peace negotiations with Russia are [00:26:36] not within the powers of a state government. In this motion, we call on the federal [00:26:40] government to use every means its disposal, including an initiative in the [00:26:44] Bundesrat to ensure that diplomacy once again takes [00:26:47] priority, that the focus returns to negotiations and that [00:26:51] trade relations with Russia are normalized. The German economy is suffering [00:26:55] greatly from the sanctions which have clearly not helped bring the war to an [00:26:58] end. Instead, they have seriously damaged the economy. [00:27:03] Now after the inaugural session the German [00:27:05] saxont state parliament, opposition [00:27:09] parties, AFD, AFD and BSW plan to [00:27:13] introduce their first joint draft resolution. Now the proposal [00:27:17] calls on the parliament to declare that sanctions against Russia [00:27:21] as well as military and financial support for Ukraine have [00:27:24] failed. Now we spoke with law makers from both parties to [00:27:28] understand the motivations from derived from this initiative. [00:28:32] sides so that young people no longer die in the war. We want to end the [00:28:36] sanctions against Russia here, because these sanctions affect the German and Russian [00:28:40] populations more than they affect politicians, and that is why this motion [00:28:43] is so important. It is about ending the sanctions against Russia, about [00:28:47] building the capacity for peace rather than military readiness. Chancellor [00:28:51] Murt said that we must become ready for war. No, we must become committed to [00:28:55] peace. We want peace in the world. That is why [00:28:57] it is so important to initiate this debate and revive it here in [00:29:01] Germany, so that the... can be brought an end through [00:30:24] Welcome to Crosstock Bullhorns where all things are considered, I'm [00:30:27] Peter Lebelle, with Ukraine on the ropes and its infrastructure being destroyed, the [00:30:30] American administration makes an energy deal with Russia, meanwhile, [00:30:34] NATO Brass gathers in Kiev to assess the damage they have brought [00:30:38] about. Also, can the Mecca defense alliance save the House of [00:30:42] SAD is new order coming about in the Middle [00:30:45] East? To discuss these issues and more, I'm joined by my guest, [00:30:49] George Samueli in Budapest, he's a podcast for the Gogle, which be found on YouTube in [00:30:53] locals and here in Moscow.
