[00:00:00] "you wouldn't be here right [00:00:01] of now, because there wouldn't be a here right now, I would be [00:00:05] dead, um, after people in this town would be [00:00:08] dead, most of Dumbas would be [00:00:10] dead. [00:00:22] a He is eager to [00:00:26] seize upon any words, initiatives or ideas entering the public. [00:00:30] discourse so he can [00:00:31] of push for some breathing room. Russia's foreign minister dismisses [00:00:35] Vladimir Zelensky sees fire calls as a ploy to regroup Ukraine's [00:00:39] forces. That's after Kiev demanded the guns fall silent for [00:00:43] 60 days to allow elections. The [00:00:47] of more we help Ukraine, the sooner the war will be over. Brussels [00:00:51] adopts yet another package of anti-Russian sanctions the [00:00:54] of 22nd [00:00:55] in a row with the EU still clinging to the [00:00:59] a hope susus. will finally bring Moscow to its [00:01:04] a knees, [00:01:04] and the European Commission [00:01:05] of is orchestrating smeer campaign against Russia's nuclear [00:01:09] energy agency [00:01:11] in a bit to win Hungary off [00:01:14] of cooperation with Moscow, that's according to Moscow's foreign intelligence agency, [00:01:18] which says the plot ignores Budapest [00:01:20] interests, and India [00:01:24] sees a third day of mass protests as [00:01:26] of demonstrators accused the ruling party of [00:01:28] of electoral fraud with the... government rejecting the accusations, we look [00:01:32] into the root causes [00:01:33] of the [00:01:33] unrest, [00:01:42] it's time for the news on RT international, my name is Egor Piskanov and it's always great [00:01:46] to have your company. Zelanski will do anything [00:01:50] to buy time to regroup Ukraine's forces, that's the main [00:01:54] of goal [00:01:54] of the constant push for sease fire from Kief, and this is according to Russia's [00:01:58] foreign minister Sergey Lavroff. [00:02:02] has replaced [00:02:06] months, the the [00:02:07] of call for [00:02:07] of [00:02:10] of call seasfire for inflicting a strategic defeat on [00:02:12] In recent Russia in the rhetoric of both Zelensky and his western masters. The [00:02:16] goal is singular and very simple, to buy time. He has [00:02:20] even said he is willing to hold a presidential election, provided he [00:02:24] is given two months to regroup. During that period, Europe could [00:02:28] flood him with new weaponry to content. his terrorist war against the [00:02:31] Russian people, but his feined astonishment regarding President Trump's [00:02:35] statement [00:02:36] a reflects only one thing, that he desperately wants to use any [00:02:40] words, any initiatives and any ideas that enter the public [00:02:43] sphere to promote his interest in a breathing space, by hook [00:02:47] or by crook. I do not believe [00:02:49] he has earned such [00:02:50] a respit, nor do I think we will once again fall for assurances or [00:02:54] promises. The President has stated this very clearly. We [00:02:58] continue to pursue the object. the special military [00:03:01] operation, these objectives are well known to everyone, we have [00:03:05] never altered them, unlike the zigzags [00:03:07] of in evasions of Zelensky and his European [00:03:10] masters. the political pressure on Vladimir Zelensky [00:03:14] is mounting on several fronts: first, the American president has [00:03:18] stressed Ukraine is in need of new leadership, in response, has [00:03:22] demanded a 60-day total to prepare the country to go to [00:03:26] the polls, but it's not just electoral issues that have broughten. [00:03:30] old acting skills back on display, that's as he [00:03:33] appeared [00:03:34] of surprised of by Trump's recent suggestion of an energy [00:03:38] truth, the ceasefire [00:03:42] announcement was new for me, but if Russians agree to an energy cease [00:03:45] fire, Ukraine will agree. [00:03:48] of Political [00:03:48] of arrest consultant and lawyer Adriel Kanta says it's [00:03:52] foolish for Zelensky to make an enemy out of [00:03:55] of Trump. Well, I completely agree with that statement, [00:03:59] because [00:03:59] uh the... decent reaction, [00:04:01] of the outburs of anger from the [00:04:04] of Ukrainian of leader after the quite [00:04:08] historical words coming from [00:04:11] of the uh mouth [00:04:11] of the president [00:04:12] of the United States Donald Trump that uh the uh democratic [00:04:16] election should be um uh put in [00:04:19] of place a in in Ukraine because the current leader is not serving [00:04:23] his nation and the its [00:04:26] raison rightfully ' so [00:04:30] basically um Mr. Zelinski is putting [00:04:33] everything into one basket, so basically she's he's [00:04:37] playing a Russian rule, quite simply put it [00:04:41] uh, because he's betting on uh uh democrats coming to [00:04:44] power after the mid-terms elections uh related to [00:04:48] dispopularity uh [00:04:50] of the Donald Trump in the United States due to his um [00:04:53] unnecessary conflict with Iran, so uh uh basically [00:04:57] the uh the uh the think... [00:05:01] of [00:05:03] of [00:05:12] pressure on Russia and supplying [00:05:16] Ukraine with money and weapons will [00:05:20] continue, so I think that this is the uh one way [00:05:24] streak um for for Mr. Zelinski, because maybe even if [00:05:28] the democrats will come to power, still the Donald Trump is a [00:05:31] president and has a significant influence over the [00:05:35] foreign policy of his own uh country, so I i think that [00:05:39] making an enemies both with Russia and United. says who [00:05:43] is the main sponsor, who has been the main sponsor of this unnecessary [00:05:46] conflict uh is very dangerous uh [00:05:49] a game plan from Mr. Zelenski in his political [00:05:52] circle. This comes as the European [00:05:56] Union has approved it yet another 22nd sanctions [00:06:00] package on Russia. Brussels once again claimed it's important to keep [00:06:03] increasing pressure on Moscow and provide more support to Ukraine. [00:06:07] At the same time it called out Donald Trump's new diesel deal with Vlad [00:06:11] Putin. We acknowledge the [00:06:15] agreement between the United States and Russia regarding the export of [00:06:18] diesel, Russia will only negotiate seriously under [00:06:21] pressure, which is why we are sticking to our sanctions against Russia. [00:06:25] The more we help Ukraine, the sooner the war will be over. What we need to [00:06:29] do is refocus and redouble our efforts in keeping pressure on Russia, that has to [00:06:33] be our priority and that is Europe's priority. This deal [00:06:36] doesn't help neither the crisis the oil products, [00:06:40] nor the unity within the transat. community what concerns pressure on [00:06:44] Russia, and it is not the European way, our way is to [00:06:48] increase pressure buse we already seen how it works, we are not done [00:06:52] here cuuse for Europe this is the vital interest to help Ukraine [00:06:56] to sustain uh this winter and continuing putting, as I already [00:07:00] said pressure, pressure, pressure on Russia, on [00:07:03] Friday Trump and Putin cut a diesel deal between the two nations [00:07:07] with Washington lifting sanctions on Moscow's diesel exports oil [00:07:11] prices. have fallen amid expectations of increased russian [00:07:15] supplies, although they remain above $100 a barrel. as [00:07:19] part the US Russia agreement, Moscow will supply more than 300 [00:07:23] thousand tons of diesel to American and global markets, followed [00:07:27] by a further half a million tons in November, and according to President [00:07:31] Trump, additional 1 million tons will be delivered [00:07:34] immediately thereafter, with another 3 million to follow [00:07:38] depending on the condition of Russia's refineries. The US [00:07:42] treasury secretary Scott Bessent has accused European leaders of [00:07:46] hypocrisy over the heat Washington is now taking from [00:07:50] Brussels. The Europeans have [00:07:53] given the Russians more money, they have since the start of this [00:07:57] war than they have given the Ukrainians because they cannot win themselves [00:08:01] off Russian energy. They had a failed energy [00:08:05] policy and Vladimir Putin, they they [00:08:09] continue [00:08:09] to fund him, so for them to say... that we cannot [00:08:13] have a respit in diesel pricing is completely [00:08:17] hypocritical. for more on this, I'm joined [00:08:21] in the studio by artistanov, so eager, in the [00:08:24] wake of this big diesel deal [00:08:28] between Russia and the United States, the EU is [00:08:31] adopting yet another 20 second now uh sanctions [00:08:35] package, it seems that Brussels is very committed to its [00:08:38] approach that somehow these restrictions will help Ukraine on the front. [00:08:42] can you break it down for us? yeah, sure, well speaking about the European approach here, I just sometimes [00:08:46] wonder if people in charge in Brussels, if they have like [00:08:50] number in their head, like with the goal, like the one that where they be [00:08:54] ready to stop, like where where are they heading with this? it's been 22 [00:08:58] packages already, since almost day one the war, they have been [00:09:02] saying, oh we need to apply pressure on Russia, we need to do this, we need [00:09:05] to press press, press, press, press, but we're, I [00:09:09] mean, we've it's been almost five years of [00:09:12] this conflict. uh 22 packages on, we're nowhere near, we're [00:09:16] nowhere near the goal that Brussels and the Europeans have been saying that, oh, [00:09:20] it will bring the war to an end, if you ask me, we're pretty [00:09:23] much, we're as far from deal now as we've ever [00:09:27] been, and so with 22 sanctions packages later, what are they going to, what [00:09:31] are they going to do next, like every single time they just go, oh, it's the biggest, [00:09:35] the hardest, the meanest sanctions package ever, [00:09:39] why, why did you do that right away, why the previous one wasn't in? why [00:09:42] didn't you just you know just do one, just do one and be get [00:09:46] over with it, just how many more do you have, what else are you going to do, is the next [00:09:50] one going to be again the biggest, the baddest and the meanest, well [00:09:54] probably so, because they're all about PR here, they need this [00:09:57] rhetoric, like the ones we've just heard from the Estonian Prime [00:10:01] Minister who is openly called for strikes against [00:10:05] Russia's refineries, something that the United States have said, well don't do [00:10:09] that, have listen. [00:10:13] Such an agreement goes against the long-term efforts the western world to [00:10:16] limit the flow of energy revenues to Putin. The US has already [00:10:20] convinced its allies, including us, to abandon Russian fuel. The [00:10:24] long term goal of depriving Russia of funds is correct, and it must [00:10:28] be continued. In Estonia, and at the European Council, it is worth [00:10:32] discussing next week whether we can quickly contribute more to Ukraine so [00:10:36] that they can strike Russian oil refineries. You [00:10:40] know, there's one definition of insanity, and that is doing the same [00:10:44] thing over and over again, and each time hoping for different result. [00:10:48] This is exactly what the Europeans are doing here, but there's a very good [00:10:51] reason too why they're so militant, why they're bravady. is so [00:10:55] loud and so outrageous uh, because well, the Europeans, [00:10:59] they have been doing the same for years, and by the same, I mean [00:11:03] they've been purchasing Russian energy and resources for [00:11:06] years, still are, just this year alone, they have spent [00:11:10] just over 6 billion dollars on Russian natural [00:11:14] gas, 6 billion dollars, just to put it in context, of course we don't [00:11:18] know how much [00:11:18] you know the details the diesel deal between the United States and Russia, [00:11:22] but you know we know that it will likely be based on you know market prices [00:11:26] and uh given the market prices stay the same because there's still plenty of other [00:11:30] factors that to be accounted in here like the events in the middle [00:11:33] east bottom line is with if Russia supplies [00:11:37] everything that they have agreed on just over 4 [00:11:40] billion uh just over four million barrels of [00:11:43] crude uh of diesel then Russia would get just [00:11:47] over seven billion dollars for all of that so six [00:11:51] uh just over 6 million dollars in gas that Europe has purchased just ' this year [00:11:55] alone and during the previous years as well versus 7 billion uh [00:11:59] for for potentially for for the diesel. Europe has been doing the exact [00:12:03] same thing, four years, it just they've been doing it quietly, and with [00:12:06] all their rhetoric they've been kind of going like, don't look there, don't nothing to see, [00:12:10] nothing to see there, just listen to us, listen to what we have to say, we are supporting [00:12:14] Ukraine, and oh, we're going to cry foul when Washington does something [00:12:18] publicly, we have been doing behind closed doors for [00:12:21] years. Well, that's why uh, Scott Bessent is accusing. [00:12:25] Brussels of hypocrisy exactly because of that, let's talk about this diesel deal [00:12:29] uh some more, great for Russia and the United [00:12:33] States, it's great for global energy prices, bad for [00:12:36] Ukraine and Zelensky. In fact, the biggest threat to [00:12:40] its implementation is Kief apparently, because Zelensky did say that they're going to [00:12:44] continue attacking Russian oil refineries. Why do you think [00:12:48] is Zelensky so keen on sabotaging Washington's interests? Well, it's [00:12:52] pretty, the answer is really pretty clear here, because Zelensky. get what he [00:12:55] wants uh and uh what he they because here's being the differences in approaches [00:12:59] yeah russia has been saying yeah you want an energy like you want an energy like cease [00:13:03] fire sure let's do it first we hold strikes against oil refineries [00:13:07] and uh then we'll see how that fairs well Ukraine they [00:13:10] want a whole package right away they want to tie like strikes [00:13:14] against ports they want to tie to this deal strikes against [00:13:18] the uh electric facilities their power stations and so on they want [00:13:22] to connect they want to basically get their [00:13:25] railway uh railway infrastructure out of [00:13:28] danger, pull it from the danger, just all part [00:13:32] the same deal. Russia has been saying, no, no, no, we're not going to do that, and so now [00:13:36] apparently the United States and Trump who's in die need of you [00:13:40] know fixing the situation with the [00:13:42] you know petrol prices in the United States, so now Russia and [00:13:46] Washington, they have come to solution and Kiev is not part of it, so Zelensky [00:13:50] is fuming and he's making, well he's done [00:13:53] to make outrageous claims, but this one. It is up [00:13:56] there, [00:14:00] why doesn't America conclude a diesel deal with Ukraine? Let [00:14:03] Ukraine offer a diesel deal. We influence whether these ships go or [00:14:07] not, whether these refineries work or not, so yes, let's sign [00:14:11] the corresponding diesel deal with the President the United States of [00:14:14] America. So Zelensky, he likes [00:14:18] to project this power, and here he is really singing in tune [00:14:22] with the Europeans in the sense that uh... "he's going to say [00:14:26] outrageous stuff uh, we don't know if he even he [00:14:30] if he believes in what he is saying, but certainly he likes to [00:14:33] project like he's he's in control, like he's in control the victory day parade in [00:14:37] Moscow, Ukraine allowed to do that, now Ukraine's going to decide whether [00:14:41] or not Russian uh Russian oil refineries will get hit or not, [00:14:45] as the Ukrainian capital is evacuating with the [00:14:49] mayor calling literally for an evacuation, well uh, it's easy, it's [00:14:52] easy to see on the ground who's calling." the shots here, it almost seems as [00:14:56] if Zelensky forgot about the size of Russia though, because if we look [00:15:00] at uh, well hypothetically, even, I'm not an expert in this in [00:15:04] logistics, but if Russia was to supply uh energy right, [00:15:07] diesel to uh the United States, it would be way more logical to do it from the far [00:15:11] east, yeah, which is thousands and thousands of kilometers away from Kieve, and they're [00:15:15] not attacking those uh ships and refineries in that [00:15:19] part uh, Washington and Moscow are now openly [00:15:22] cooperating and it seems that the weight [00:15:26] the support of Kiev's military [00:15:29] machine now falls more and more on the shoulders of Brussels, so what's [00:15:33] Moscow saying about all this? well, essentially, indeed, the [00:15:37] United says Trump has long been saying that well he's going to put the financial [00:15:40] burden you know on Europe for for this war, this is what he has been [00:15:44] doing, the Europeans, they are going to feel the increasing financial [00:15:48] burden, because now they because well Ukraine, Ukraine doesn't have doesn't have even [00:15:52] enough money to pay salaries for their own uh, for their own [00:15:56] soldiers, people in the trenches, they had to pull it from you know social [00:15:59] welfare and so on and so forth, so they couldn't do they could can't [00:16:03] do even [00:16:04] that, now with Russia expanding the not just the geography but general, [00:16:07] you know, the list of targets that they are hitting in Ukraine, it's going [00:16:11] to fall on Europe's shoulders, uh, everything, everything that uh, [00:16:15] Ukraine would want to rebuild, the parts, the money, [00:16:19] the materials, they will have to come from Europe, from [00:16:22] elsewhere, so if Europe wants to measure this war in terms of how much it [00:16:26] costs, well, it's going to cost much more for Europe now, and in general [00:16:30] uh, the Russian, the Russians, they have been saying that Europe is acting more [00:16:34] like a part of this conflict, like and like side in this... not [00:16:37] an impartial state or just a state that is interested in peace, they're [00:16:41] acting as side that is interested in prolonging this war. [00:16:45] this point has been reiterated by the kromland spokesman [00:16:49] uh, the [00:16:53] Europeans clearly do not belong to the party of peace, the party that seeks [00:16:57] ways toward peaceful settlement. the Europeans are more like the party of war [00:17:00] which continues to do everything to prevent this war from stopping. we are far [00:17:04] more impressed by the efforts the American negotiators. "We are grateful to [00:17:08] them for continuing these efforts. We are not looking for a split here, we are [00:17:12] looking for truly effective measures and responsible decisions that will [00:17:16] make it possible to reach a peaceful settlement. The Europeans clearly do not [00:17:20] belong to the party of peace, the party that seeks ways toward peaceful [00:17:23] settlement. The Europeans are more like the party of war, which continues to do [00:17:27] everything to prevent this war from stopping. We are far more impressed by the efforts [00:17:31] the American negotiators. We are grateful to them for continuing these [00:17:35] efforts. We are not looking for a..." split here, we are looking for truly [00:17:39] effective measures and responsible decisions that will make it possible to reach [00:17:43] peaceful settlement. so right now [00:17:47] we are at one the many crossroads, yeah, which are [00:17:51] still [00:17:51] to come, and this one really will show if everything that is [00:17:55] coming out of Europe, out of Ukraine, if it is all just [00:17:57] a bravada, if it's all going talk, [00:17:59] to but be they will again as they do, they can talk tough, but they [00:18:03] can [00:18:03] you know do something entirely different, just you know quietly behind. [00:18:07] doors, so if it's going to be that sort of scenario, or if they will double [00:18:11] down, if you if Europe will enable Ukraine to [00:18:15] continue attacking Russian oil refineries, and in that case it will be [00:18:19] interesting to see what Trump will do in [00:18:23] the in that case, because of course the relationship between Trump and Zelensky has been [00:18:26] very thory from the very start, uh, they don't like each [00:18:30] other Trump doesn't like Zelensky, and uh, so if Zelenski [00:18:34] decides to, well, undermine Trump's... efforts and to go [00:18:38] against him, then Trump has plenty uh up his sleeve uh, [00:18:42] starting with the obvious, the starlink, just with one push of a button can be [00:18:46] turned off for Ukraine, so if Trump will decide to act on it [00:18:50] and to just cut it off uh uh and the just just teach [00:18:54] Ukraine yet another lesson or if it will take some other road [00:18:58] all together, starling intelligence, information sharing, [00:19:01] weapons supplies, there are so many plenty of levers, plenty yeah yeah we'll [00:19:05] see which ones they're going to pick. Thank you [00:19:09] so much for bringing us the latest on all [00:19:11] this. [00:19:14] Meanwhile, Russia's foreign intelligence service has accused the European [00:19:18] Commission of orchestrating an information campaign against the Russian [00:19:22] nuclear energy agency and Hungary's Px to nuclear power [00:19:25] plant project. Moscow says the campaign ignores Hungary's [00:19:29] national interest. The main customer the Dirty [00:19:33] Information campaign launched in Europe against the Ross Atom Corporation and the... [00:19:37] destruction with its participation the Pax 2 nuclear power plant in Hungary [00:19:41] is the leadership the European Commission. The Pax [00:19:45] 2 project is designed to expand Hungary's existing nuclear power [00:19:49] plant with Russia's Rosatum serving as the main [00:19:52] contractor. The project would see the construction of two nuclear [00:19:55] reactors which are expected to increase Hungary's electricity [00:19:59] generation capacity and help meet its along-term energy needs. [00:20:03] However, the scheme has faced scrutiny and political disputes within [00:20:07] the European. union, including concerns over its reliance on [00:20:10] Russian technology and the wider implications of energy cooperation [00:20:14] with Moscow. [00:20:18] now India has beefed up security in its capital as mass [00:20:22] protests arraged for a third consecutive day. Initially, the [00:20:26] demonstrators were led by a youth activist movement called the [00:20:29] cockroaches. however, now different opposition forces have [00:20:33] joined the protests accusing the ruling government of attempting electoral fraud. [00:20:37] Something firmly denied by the authorities, [00:20:41] RT India, Vinayak Digsit explains what has caused the prolonged [00:20:45] unrest, we talk about the protests that are [00:20:49] happening here. in India then at the heart the matter lies an [00:20:53] allegation by India's opposition parties that the election [00:20:56] commission's process of revising pole roles is [00:20:59] solely to benefit the Narendra Modi eled Bharatiya Janata [00:21:03] Party the BJP for winning elections after [00:21:06] elections in state after state now uh the Indian [00:21:10] election commission's special intensive revision process [00:21:14] was started in the world's largest democracy last year and it [00:21:18] started with the Northern State. of Bihar now the intention the [00:21:22] process was to remove the names of voters that have moved [00:21:25] away, voters that have registered in more than one constituency [00:21:29] voters that have passed away or voters that are due to any reason [00:21:33] whatsoever unregistered voters, so a thorough cleaning [00:21:37] the election poll roles or the list of voters. [00:21:40] about 130 million names have been flagged or removed [00:21:44] so far, if you think that is a large number then think about the total [00:21:48] population of India which happens to be 1.4 [00:21:52] billion people, now the final decision on removing any [00:21:55] these names are yet to be taken. [00:21:59] However, India's opposition parties alleged that in the [00:22:03] process the special intensive revision, many legitimate [00:22:07] voters name were also struck off from the list in order to [00:22:11] benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party or the BJP. They [00:22:15] claim that these removals now mean that India's electoral [00:22:18] process is no... no longer level playing field. the opposition [00:22:22] parties also say that this process has already skewed [00:22:25] elections that took place in the month of April where the [00:22:29] BJP one three out of five states. Congress [00:22:32] leader and leader of opposition Rahul Gandi has gone so far as [00:22:36] to call this vote theft and says and argues that any [00:22:40] laws passed by the elected government through the [00:22:44] stolen votes remained to be illegitimate because the process in [00:22:47] itself was illegitimate. the bharatiya janta party, the [00:22:51] BJP as well as the election commission have denied any wrong [00:22:55] doings as far as the process the SIRR are concerned. the [00:22:59] BJP maintains that the uh that the process was aimed to [00:23:03] remove illegitimate voters from electoral poll roles. home minister [00:23:07] Amit Shah also went on to say that it was to prevent [00:23:10] infiltrators which happens to be uffemism that is [00:23:14] used for illegal immigrants mainly from neighboring [00:23:17] Bangladesh from voting in India. as elections, the [00:23:21] election panel content that any wrongly excluded [00:23:24] voters can request revision in their names and their names [00:23:28] can be included back in the list again. this long [00:23:32] simmering controversy around the special intensive revision became even [00:23:36] more rampant after an Indian print daily [00:23:39] the Indian express released a report which said that in the [00:23:43] three member election commission where there is a chief election commissioner [00:23:47] and two other election commissioners there was [00:23:50] a significant difference between the election (chief election commissioner) and the other [00:23:54] two election commissioners as far as voted [00:23:58] matters like voter registrations and deletions are concerned. the [00:24:01] election commission on this acknowledged the objections but [00:24:05] said that the final decision that was taken by the body was [00:24:08] completely unanimous. [00:24:12] Saudi Arabia says ariyad's international airport, which was attacked three [00:24:16] times within a week, will be closed until at least the 17th of [00:24:20] October, the country has also issued urgent alerts for civilians in the [00:24:23] south near the border with Yemen. The warning comes after hoothi missile [00:24:27] attack on the city of Abraham. Reports say Saudi air [00:24:31] defenses managed to intercept an incoming ballistic missile, and [00:24:35] this video shows plomes of smoke that could have been seen [00:24:39] rising from that apparent impact point. The [00:24:42] Yemenies have been launching projectiles across the border into [00:24:46] Saudi Arabia as the two countries engage in increasing. [00:24:50] volatile conflict, and there was a [00:24:54] devastating attack by the Yemini Khuthis on Riyad's main international airport [00:24:58] on Saturday, the death toll from the strike has now risen to [00:25:01] 13 after an Indian national succumbed to his [00:25:04] injuries. The Yemeni hoties struck the airport in the Saudi [00:25:08] capital several times the past week, and this CCTV footage [00:25:11] shows Saturday's attack, which was the most devastating. [00:25:15] Authorities say total of 17 people have been killed and more than [00:25:18] 300 wounded. and huti spokesperson Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti [00:25:22] said it carried out the attacks in retaliation for Saudi [00:25:26] aggression. [00:26:04] 'These attacks are Yemeny attacks. We do not do this out of revenge or to take [00:26:08] vengeance, but rather to force the Saudi leadership to accept a comprehensive and [00:26:12] permanent peace by agreeing to end the war. When [00:26:16] asked about the conflict, Donald Trump said it could be possible that the Americans [00:26:20] could join in the fight to support their allies Saudi Arabia. RT [00:26:23] correspondent Mohammed Al Rashed has the [00:26:25] story. There are heavy casualties from Huthi [00:26:29] attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The death toll is [00:26:33] expected to continue to rise with many wounded among Saudi citizens and [00:26:37] foreigners. The coalition views these attacks as the beginning of a full-scale war and [00:26:40] heinous act that is contrary to generally accepted values and moral [00:26:44] standards. The response will be fierce and in accordance with the norms of [00:26:48] international humanitarian law. Amid international condemnation, [00:26:51] Islamabad reaffirms its position under the Mecca defense agreement as well [00:26:55] as its commitments to ensuring the kingdom's security and sovereignty. Statements [00:26:59] by the US president regarding the possibility of strikes. against the hoothies [00:27:03] open up the prospect of definitive resolution to the Yemen crisis. The [00:27:07] kingdom declares that the Houti strikes constitute an active terrorism that [00:27:11] runs counter to moral principles and humanitarian values against [00:27:15] this backdrop. Saudi Arabia is garnering international Islamic and Arab [00:27:19] support for its position and the measures it is taking safeguard its [00:27:22] sovereignty and security. The coalition is threatening decisive [00:27:26] response by invoking the collective deterrance mechanism under the Mecca pact. [00:27:30] Amid the prospect of US intervention, stand off with the hootis is [00:27:34] approaching a dangerous turning point. the key question is how far the [00:27:37] conflict will expand and whether new actors from outside yemen and saudi arabia [00:27:41] will become involved. we spoke with the saudi [00:27:45] political researcher Khalid batarfi and he believes that washington has already [00:27:49] been drawn into the conflict. the US [00:27:53] is inf already by providing [00:27:56] intelligence and cooperate in many [00:27:59] matters security. [00:28:02] matters also by providing what [00:28:06] Saudi forces needed for equipment and union. [00:28:10] what you are talking about is whether the United States [00:28:14] will help in attacking [00:28:18] this uh sources of fire [00:28:21] and whether they will support directly the [00:28:25] yemen government. well that's a matter to be [00:28:29] considered and according to Trump he didn't decided yet. [00:28:33] but a country as fast as Saudi [00:28:35] Arabia, so many cities, so many [00:28:39] oil installation, so many ports, we have 28 airports in [00:28:43] Saudi Arabia, so protecting this much [00:28:47] land and this much facilities [00:28:51] will require lots of investment, lots of [00:28:54] work, and I believe they are working on this, the other [00:28:58] side is getting improved [00:29:01] abilities. like the new missiles they [00:29:05] are using against Saudi Arabia, they have all [00:29:09] the the fingerprints of [00:29:12] Iran on on that, and they have also [00:29:16] Iranian expert and Lebaneses and [00:29:19] others helping them to do that, so let us wait and [00:29:23] see, but I expect Saudi Arabia to improve its [00:29:27] facility as well to respond to all this new [00:29:30] development. This comes amid a rapid escalation [00:29:34] the conflict in Yemen. The cuties have released footage their offensive [00:29:38] against Saudi back forces in the Thaiz province, the last [00:29:42] important area on the road to Aiden. This footage can't be [00:29:45] independently verified though, meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and its regional partners [00:29:49] were expected to step up their military coordination today, and this has [00:29:53] prompted speculation that the conflict could expand further, drawing more [00:29:57] countries into the frey. And last [00:30:01] week, Saudi led for. said they destroyed several the [00:30:04] khuthi's rocket launch platforms. Riyadh Alliance reported striking more [00:30:08] than 130 military targets in Yemen, that included [00:30:12] areas in the huti controlled national capital. Art [00:30:15] correspondent Jamal Al-Ashwal takes closer look at the [00:30:18] situation in the war toren country. [00:30:22] The escalation between Senai and Riyad is entering new phase with the [00:30:26] expansion of alternative targets to include living facilities inside [00:30:30] Saudi Arabia and Saudi airport. in Yemen. It is a scene that will [00:30:34] likely push the United States to plan the possibility of participating in [00:30:38] hitting targets in Sina and other cities. The response from Sonat [00:30:42] is that it will not hesitate to target America. If Trump [00:30:45] tries to interfere again in Saudi Arabia's alliance, then Yemen has already [00:30:49] warned that any country that will make an alliance with Saudi Arabia and offer any [00:30:53] service to Saudi Arabia in order to strike our country, we will deal with the [00:30:57] American regime as we did before.
