[00:00:03] the [00:00:04] of fears came to the Russians [00:00:06] of really did come to India but not as colonizers [00:00:09] and we quickly found a common [00:00:12] language. [00:00:21] of He of is eager to seize upon any words, [00:00:25] initiatives or ideas entering [00:00:27] of the public discourse, so he can push for some breathing. room: Russia's [00:00:31] foreign minister dismisses [00:00:32] of Vladimir Zelensky's ceasefire calls as a ploy [00:00:36] to regroup Ukraines forces. That's after Kiev [00:00:40] demanded the guns fall silent [00:00:42] of for of 60 days to allow for [00:00:44] elections. The more we help Ukraine, the [00:00:48] sooner the war will be over. Brussels adopts yet another package of [00:00:52] anti-Russian sanctions with the EU hoping its 22nd [00:00:56] round of restrictions will do what the previous 21 have failed to do. [00:01:00] Of course, that is, the [00:01:01] of attempt to bring Moscow to its [00:01:03] of knees. Also, in this hour's program, Europe condemns the deadly [00:01:07] Hoothi attacks on Riyad's main airport, [00:01:09] of blaming the group for causing a spiral of violence, although [00:01:13] Brussels conveniently overlooks its own role in fueling the violence [00:01:17] when it pumped Saudi Arabia full of weapons in the [00:01:21] earlier phases [00:01:22] of the [00:01:22] conflict. [00:01:31] "Monday at 11 pm here at the RTHQ with your program this hour [00:01:35] touching down in Yemen, India, the UK, Brussels, Saudi [00:01:39] Arabia and more. Vladimir Zelenski meantime [00:01:42] says, [00:01:43] of well, according to the Russian foreign minister, the leader of Ukraine will do anything [00:01:47] to buy time to regroup Ukraine's forces, that is the [00:01:51] view of Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, amid yet more [00:01:55] talk from Keyev of a [00:01:57] ceasefire. In recent [00:02:01] months, the call for a [00:02:02] in in ceasefire has [00:02:03] of replaced the call for inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia, in the [00:02:07] rhetoric of both Zelensky and his western masters. The [00:02:10] goal is singular and very simple, to buy time. He is [00:02:14] even said he is willing to hold a presidential election, provided he [00:02:18] is given two months to regroup. During that period, Europe could [00:02:22] flood him with new weaponry to continue his terrorist war against the [00:02:26] Russian people, but his fained astonishment regarding President Trump's. [00:02:30] reflects only one [00:02:32] of thing, a that he desperately wants to use any words, any [00:02:35] of initiatives and any ideas that enter the public sphere, to [00:02:39] promote his interest in a breathing space, by hook or by crook. [00:02:43] do not believe he has earned such [00:02:45] of a respit, nor do i think we will once again fall for [00:02:48] of assurances [00:02:48] of or promises. the president has stated this very clearly. we [00:02:52] continue to pursue the objectives [00:02:54] of the special military operation. these objectives are well-known to [00:02:59] of everyone. we have never [00:03:06] Well the political pressure on Vladimir Zelensky is mounting [00:03:10] on several fronts now, I first you know about this, the American president [00:03:14] stressing [00:03:14] of Ukraine is in need of new leader. In response, Zelensky [00:03:18] demanded a 60-day cease fire to prepare the country to go to the [00:03:22] polls, but it is not just electoral issues that have put [00:03:26] Zelensky's old acting skills back on display. [00:03:30] of After Washington announced a deal on Russian diesel exports, the [00:03:34] decision was not well received in Kiev, particularly by Vladimir [00:03:37] Zelensky. President Trump said [00:03:41] that um that we need Ukraine needs new president, [00:03:44] so first of all with all respect to President [00:03:48] a Trump uh, [00:03:50] of it's up to our society, up to our people [00:03:54] to [00:03:55] of choose one or another leader. Why are they blaming [00:03:58] you for the continuing? [00:04:01] of this war [00:04:02] because these people can't find a key [00:04:06] how to stop [00:04:07] of Putin, because it's [00:04:10] more difficult to [00:04:14] of stop Putin than to pressure [00:04:17] a others. well, we've been discussing this with political risk consultant and lawyer [00:04:21] Adriel Casanter, and Adriel says it's very foolish [00:04:25] for Zelensky to make an enemy out of Trump, well I [00:04:29] completely... agree with that statement, because the recent reaction, [00:04:33] the outburs of anger from the [00:04:37] Ukrainian leader uh, after the [00:04:40] of quite historical words coming from the uh mouth [00:04:45] of of the President of the United States Donald Trump that the uh democratic election should be [00:04:49] put in place in in Ukraine because [00:04:51] a the current leader is not serving his nation, Mr. Zelinsky [00:04:55] is putting [00:04:56] of everything into one basket, he's playing a russian. rul e [00:05:00] quite simply put it, because he's betting on [00:05:04] democrats coming to power after the mid-terms elections [00:05:08] related to [00:05:09] of dispopularity [00:05:10] of the Donald Trump in the United States. due to his um [00:05:14] unnecessary conflict with Iran. The thinking in Brussels and both [00:05:17] in in [00:05:19] in in Kiev and Brussels is that once the democrats will take the [00:05:22] majority in the United States, the uh the previous [00:05:26] scenario, which is continuation of maximum [00:05:29] pressure on Russia and supplying Ukraine with [00:05:32] money and weapons will continue, so I think that [00:05:36] this is the uh one way street um for for Mr. Zelinski, [00:05:40] because maybe even if the... democrats will come to power, [00:05:44] still the Donald Trump is a president and has a [00:05:47] significant influence over the foreign policy of his [00:05:50] own uh country, so I i think that making an enemies [00:05:54] both with Russia and United States who is the main [00:05:58] sponsor who has been the main sponsor of this unnecessary conflict [00:06:01] is very dangerous game plan from Mr. [00:06:05] Zelinski in his political circle and this all comes [00:06:09] as the European Union has approved yet another. [00:06:12] sanctions package on Russia, we're talking it's number [00:06:15] 22, [00:06:17] and Brussels again claiming it's so important to keep the pressure on Moscow and [00:06:21] provide more support to Ukraine, well at the same time it called [00:06:25] out Donald Trump's new diesel deal with [00:06:28] Russia. We acknowledge the [00:06:31] agreement between the United States and Russia regarding the export of [00:06:35] diesel. Russia will only negotiate seriously under pressure, [00:06:39] which is why we are sticking to our sanctions against Russia. we help [00:06:42] Ukraine, the sooner the war will be over. What we need to do is refocus [00:06:46] and redouble our efforts in keeping pressure on Russia, that has [00:06:49] to be our priority and that is Europe's priority. This deal [00:06:53] doesn't help neither the prices the oil products, [00:06:57] nor the unity within the transatlantic community, what concerns pressure on [00:07:01] Russia, and it is not the European way. Our way is to [00:07:05] increase pressure, because we all already seen how it works. We are not done [00:07:09] here cuz for Europe, this is the vital interest to help. Ukraine [00:07:13] to sustain uh this winter and continuing putting, as I already [00:07:17] said, pressure, pressure, pressure on Russia. On Friday, Trump and [00:07:21] Putin cut a deal with Washington lifting sanctions on Moscow's diesel [00:07:25] exports. The news did see all the prices fall, although they remain above [00:07:28] 100 bucks a barrel. So the agreement says that Moscow will supply [00:07:32] 300,00 tons of diesel to American and global markets followed [00:07:36] by another half million in November. Another million will come [00:07:40] after that with a further 3 million late. depending on the condition of course of [00:07:44] Russia's refineries, this decision has been seized upon by [00:07:48] much the media, although they conveniently ignore Europe's own [00:07:51] continued thirst for Russian energy, it's something that has not [00:07:55] escaped the attention the American [00:07:58] president. The European [00:08:02] Union paid Russia $250 billion for energy, [00:08:06] and the fake news media doesn't want to get near that story. I made the right [00:08:10] choice for the American people always. [00:08:14] first, well according to the Russian deputy prime minister, Trump's actually [00:08:17] been underreporting just how much diesel is supposed to be heading [00:08:21] to United States. According [00:08:25] to our ministry of energy, the figure is significantly higher than even the [00:08:29] 250 billion denounced by our American colleagues. This amount [00:08:32] totals 320, $7 billion for the period from [00:08:36] 2022 to the present day. This represents the volume of energy [00:08:40] resource supplies to European Union. regarding the year [00:08:44] 2026. According to the ministry of energy, 21, $3 billion [00:08:47] dollars worth of energy resources have already been supply to Europe in the first [00:08:51] nine months alone. Despite sanctions restrictions, energy resources [00:08:55] continued to be supplied to us via specific channels for which exceptions have [00:08:59] been made. As reliable supplier that has always fulfilled its previously signed [00:09:03] contracts, Russia continues to honor its obligations. Indeed, although the [00:09:07] composition of exports to the European Union has changed significantly in recent [00:09:10] years, it was not due to our. Over now to our [00:09:14] correspondent Igor Zdanov explaining how the EU's [00:09:18] latest sanctions package, we are talking number [00:09:21] 22, could actually be a sign that Brussels is [00:09:25] uh, should we say running low on options to weaken Moscow and as they [00:09:28] say to bring Russia to its [00:09:31] knees, a 22nd package of sanctions, [00:09:34] you know sanctioning all these Russian entities and uh Russian [00:09:38] companies, firms, people, just individuals, and clearly this happening against the [00:09:41] backdrop of... this diesel deal again, it's a message to Washington, but [00:09:45] realistically though, this has been the point that Europe has been making all along, like we [00:09:49] need to apply pressure on Russia to bring the war, the end [00:09:53] the war closer, this is clearly not working, but you know this definition [00:09:56] of insanity, one the definitions, insanity is you know [00:10:00] doing the same thing over and over again and each time hoping [00:10:04] for different result, well I'm sure they are already thinking what they could include into the [00:10:08] 23rd package, how can we make the 23rd sanctions package [00:10:11] the biggest? yet, you can clearly hear the rhetoric, for instance, the what the [00:10:15] Estonian Prime Minister has said, who openly, openly [00:10:19] defied Washington and called upon Ukraine to keep on [00:10:23] striking the Russian oil. refineries, have [00:10:25] listen. Such an agreement goes [00:10:29] against the long-term efforts the western world to limit the flow of energy [00:10:33] revenues to Putin. The US has already convinced its allies, [00:10:37] including us, to abandon Russian fuel. The long-term goal of [00:10:40] depriving Russia of funds is correct, and it must be continued. [00:10:44] In Estonia, and at the European Council, it is worth discussing next [00:10:48] week whether we can quickly contribute more to Ukraine so that they can strike [00:10:52] Russian oil refineries. It is a bit [00:10:56] ironic though that they cry foul in Unisen all [00:10:59] together Europe saying oh how can you give [00:11:02] how can you fund [00:11:03] Putin's war effort with your money with your diesel deal and [00:11:07] it is ironic because this is something that Europe has been doing all [00:11:11] these years literally all these years Europe has been buying gas has [00:11:15] been buying Russia's Russia's metals uh pretty much just this [00:11:19] year alone they purchased Europe purchased just about 10 billion [00:11:23] dollars worth of goods from Russia. six billions, just over 6 billions [00:11:27] accounting for with well, well with gas accounting for [00:11:30] 6.1 billion of uh of this. now of course we [00:11:34] don't know how how much Russia will get in this diesel deal with the [00:11:38] United States given how many steps in it there is, but [00:11:41] essentially if you look at the at the oil prices and if you take the figure [00:11:45] as to how much Russia has agreed so far to to [00:11:49] supply the United States with, that's in the realms of 7 [00:11:53] billion dollars, yeah so six. billion for gas in case of Europe, [00:11:57] 7 billion in case of diesel in the United States. Europe has [00:12:01] been doing all the same things, they have been you know also funding Putin's war [00:12:04] efforts and so on, it just they've been doing it quietly. seems like the only [00:12:08] threat to to this deal is Kiev, because Zelinski said that he's going to [00:12:12] continue attacking Russian oil refineries, but [00:12:15] why is he so keen on sabotaging [00:12:19] Washington's plans? Well, it's pretty clear, you just have to look at what [00:12:23] Kiev has had to say before. that they wanted this energy deal, [00:12:27] but a very different, well shape and form, they wanted you know [00:12:31] strikes against [00:12:32] you know power stations to be included to be banned under this deal, [00:12:36] strikes against port infrastructure, against rail infrastructure, they [00:12:39] wanted all of that to be banned under this you know umbrella energy [00:12:43] deal, well Russia has from the very good go has been saying, well [00:12:46] refineries fine, let's let's hold the strikes and well it's it's [00:12:50] clear why, because well Ukraine doesn't really produce anything in this [00:12:54] sense, well he's been he's been making some very unhinged [00:12:58] claim saying that well the United States should have come to Ukraine and [00:13:02] made deal with Ukraine as if Ukraine well in his words it [00:13:05] does controls the out the Russian output have [00:13:09] have listen why doesn't America conclude a diesel deal with [00:13:13] Ukraine let Ukraine offer a diesel deal we [00:13:17] influence whether these ships go or not whether these refineries work or [00:13:20] not so yes let's sign the corresponding diesel deal with the president [00:13:24] the United States of America. Again, this is also quite [00:13:28] ironic to come from a man whose entire budget, entire country [00:13:32] lives of whatever Europe has to give to them, [00:13:35] otherwise they don't even have enough to pay salaries to the most crucial part [00:13:39] their society right now, and that's their servicement. It seems [00:13:43] that the weight of supporting Kief's war machine [00:13:47] is now uh being pressed on Brussel's shoulders, [00:13:51] so what does Russia have to say about? Indeed, it has been the... [00:13:55] policy the Trump administration for a while now, [00:13:58] you know, let Europe pay for the war in Europe, according to Russia, well [00:14:02] Europe has already shown that it is not, they can say, they can talk [00:14:05] however much they want about wanting to bring this war to an end, [00:14:09] but they don't, because every because we've seen everything that they have implied so [00:14:13] far, [00:14:14] here it has failed, but still Europe is definitely a part [00:14:18] acts like a party in this war while Washington is trying to uh have [00:14:22] look and try to trying to find solutions. [00:14:25] europei: the Europeans clearly do not belong to the party of [00:14:28] peace, the party that seeks ways toward a peaceful settlement. the Europeans [00:14:32] are more like the party of war, which continues to do everything to prevent this war [00:14:36] from stopping. we are far more impressed by the efforts the American [00:14:40] negotiators. so right now we are a bit of crossroads here with [00:14:44] one way being, well it could all with, mean all of this huffing [00:14:47] and puffing, if that will just remain that [00:14:51] you know all talk and uh you know europe [00:14:53] and zelensky will talk uh... very tough, but won't act [00:14:57] on these words, or if they will decide to directly try and [00:15:00] disrupt Russia's well shipments to the United States, be it vessels or [00:15:04] be it attacks against you know infrastructure inside Russia, and that would be [00:15:08] interesting to see if they choose that that sort of course of events, if they [00:15:11] choose the latter, then well Trump has quite a few, quite a few means to apply [00:15:15] pressure and to punish uh anyone well in Ukraine for in Ukraine [00:15:19] and Europe for disobedience, starting with the most obvious options like cutting [00:15:23] intelligence sharing and switch. [00:15:28] Despite European condemnation of a US deal with Russia, Europe [00:15:32] does face its own diesel problems decades of policies [00:15:36] favoring diesel have left the... EU heavily dependent on it, are the prices [00:15:40] have surged across the block or Germany, crisis through the [00:15:43] roof, while in Denmark, they've [00:15:46] climbed even higher, and in the Netherlands, [00:15:50] for example, the numbers will keep flowing for you here, a diesel prices are now [00:15:54] among the highest in all the [00:15:57] EU, the spike is adding to the pressure on European drivers and [00:16:01] businesses already feeling the [00:16:04] pain. how costs have [00:16:08] increased by around 300 to 400 euros a month? if this trend [00:16:12] continues throughout the year, we will end up spending additional 3,600 to [00:16:16] 4,00 [00:16:17] euros a year on fuel alone. the [00:16:20] government seems to be living an eledist bubble, completely [00:16:24] disconnected from the lives of most portuguese people. you only have to [00:16:28] go to cafe or a supermarket and talk to ordinary people to find out what [00:16:31] their biggest concerns are. they're worried about the price of diesel and the cost [00:16:35] of rent. Well earlier I was talking to IC Hammer, [00:16:39] economist and publisher the Verd Shaft Actual Business [00:16:42] Newsletter who says that her European governments have [00:16:46] betrayed their own people by allowing these prices to [00:16:49] skyrocket. The governments in the [00:16:53] so-called west Europe, like the German government, they have to [00:16:57] explain their people why they betray them, why they give [00:17:01] the diesel away, whereas the diesel price is going through the roof [00:17:05] within Germany, so now we read. have a the [00:17:08] problem that these politicians cannot justify [00:17:12] their behavior and it's getting more and more obvious for the ordinary on the [00:17:16] street that they are that they are betrayed. i have [00:17:20] the very bad suspicion that these European [00:17:23] politicians or the European bureaucrats, i have to say, [00:17:27] because the European commission are not politician, they are not elected, [00:17:31] they are appointed by some backdoor or back [00:17:33] chamber things and they are ext. [00:17:37] nervous to lose their power because [00:17:40] people are not, they don't like them anymore, they [00:17:44] are against them, and they must have or it could [00:17:48] be that they have betrayed the European [00:17:50] people much more than anybody is still [00:17:54] imagining, for example to take away some frozen [00:17:58] assets, maybe from Russia, or maybe not only the interest, but [00:18:02] even more, and they don't know how to how to get these these [00:18:05] funds back, so they are... with the existence [00:18:09] the European Union, on the same time, France is collapsing and [00:18:13] needs big big time help, everything against the rules, against [00:18:17] the contracts that have formed the European [00:18:20] Union, and thus it is very obvious that [00:18:24] they are at the end their their possibilities, and in this [00:18:28] situation normally you try escape into an [00:18:31] outside problem like the [00:18:34] war, the... these [00:18:37] claim they have successfully targeted king khalid international airport in [00:18:41] the saudi capital, riad, apparently this [00:18:44] evening with ballistic missile, unverified footage to show [00:18:48] you apparently showing the moment an explosion struck the airport for the [00:18:52] fourth time in about a week, however the Saudi led [00:18:56] coalition is countering these reports claiming they successfully intercepted [00:19:00] and shot down the incoming hoothi [00:19:03] missiles. let's bring up some a shocking footage for you here from the [00:19:06] read. national airport which was attacked on Saturday, claiming the lives [00:19:10] of 13 people with more than [00:19:14] 300 [00:19:15] wounded. well, Europe has certainly been [00:19:19] among the voices condemning the latest attacks on Riyadh's international [00:19:23] airport. The [00:19:26] deadliest Houti attack so far on Riyad's airport marks a [00:19:30] dangerous escalation. These attacks by Iran's proxies are [00:19:34] pushing the region into a spiral of violence. Well, despite [00:19:38] those words a Riad is said to have been deeply disappointed by [00:19:41] the uh scale of support from his western allies, this being reported by [00:19:45] Bloomberg citing its own sources, nonetheless, [00:19:49] against this backdrop, the Saudies have been pressing European capitals for [00:19:53] concrete military assistance, namely requesting aid from [00:19:57] London, Paris and Berlin. So Britain has sent air [00:20:00] defenses along with air to air refueling support for Saudi fighter [00:20:04] jets, France right here pledging troops. radars, [00:20:08] defense systems to help to protect the energy infrastructure. now [00:20:12] Riad has officially requested help from Germany and it remains [00:20:16] unclear whether Berlin has or even will provide [00:20:20] any assistance. Well, while help from Europe is [00:20:24] clearly on the table, the scale of support, very [00:20:27] different, how it 15, because looking back as the Saudis began their [00:20:31] milita back campaign in Yemen to take on the hooth these billions [00:20:35] of euros worth of arms export licenses. made with countries across [00:20:38] Europe, France topping the list, I mean 17 [00:20:41] billion in weapons deals for Saudi [00:20:45] Arabia, the UK pocketing just over four billion selling [00:20:48] deadly weapons and Germany caaching in in one way or [00:20:52] another, [00:20:53] and on the latest edition the Sanchez Effect here on RT, a former British diplomat [00:20:57] Craig Marey questions why European leaders condemn the hoothis as [00:21:01] barbarians while turning a blind eye to Saudi Arabia's own [00:21:05] records of attacks on civilians all across [00:21:08] Yemen. You know, most the European [00:21:12] countries, including the Brits, are condemning the [00:21:14] huties uh for the attacks on the Saudi [00:21:18] airport etc. they've released statement, they've they've called the [00:21:22] actions the huties uh barbaric, and I'm thinking just like [00:21:26] the ma, the same thing they called the ma, the same thing they called a lot the [00:21:30] liberation groups in Africa when they went there and stole their land and raped [00:21:34] them and killed them and chopped up their arms and everything, they said they were the [00:21:38] barbaric ones, what are you talking about, right? so I'm I'm [00:21:41] looking here to your point uh, Mr. Bassador, so [00:21:45] the Brits and the Europeans are complaining about the Hutis, I i think the [00:21:49] hoothis. are kind of an honorable bunch, even though they do fight wars [00:21:53] and sandals, which I don't understand, so we did a little research [00:21:57] here, do [00:21:57] you know how much money uh the uh [00:22:01] Europeans have made so far in armed sales to the [00:22:04] Saudis, which again goes to your point about why they do these crazy [00:22:08] things, right? I'm going to read it to you, right? [00:22:12] 17 billion France, UK made [00:22:16] 7 billion dollars in arms sales to the uh [00:22:20] Saudis, right, Germany, two billion, Spain, [00:22:24] two billion, so to your point, of course they're [00:22:28] calling the savages, they're they're bought and [00:22:31] sold by the other side, I think [00:22:35] that's that's true, and and the extraordinary thing is that with this [00:22:39] incredible imbalance of weapons, because the, I [00:22:43] think though, those can't be all time totals, because they've been individual [00:22:47] deals that have been bigger than the... you gave for the UK for [00:22:51] example, this must be a recent [00:22:53] period, well this was during this was [00:22:57] during, this was during the specific, sorry, i should have, i should have clarified that, [00:23:01] thank you though [00:23:02] for for for correcting me, this was only during the first [00:23:06] Saudi Yemen war that these numbers, they've gone probably above [00:23:10] that since then, yes, yeah, [00:23:12] and passed that, and the amount, the total amount of [00:23:16] weapons that the theala people have... [00:23:20] possessed, it's probably 5% of [00:23:23] that. um, the uh, and yet the [00:23:27] Saudis with all of that firepower, all of that modern [00:23:30] equipment are unable to defeat them and in fact continually [00:23:34] lose, the war has been over 20 year [00:23:37] period, a continual [00:23:40] process for Saudis losing ground, because they [00:23:44] may have all the weaponry and all the money, but they have no belief [00:23:48] in the in their own cause and i was doing a [00:23:52] little research yesterday, i was trying to tot up in the last 12 [00:23:56] years since uh anstal have [00:23:58] controlled the airports in [00:24:01] sona um i found [00:24:04] 27 different times the saudis have bombed [00:24:08] sanar airport and not on one of those 27 [00:24:12] times did the European Union condemn this [00:24:15] the Saudis for bombing sanner airport which is a civilian airport. [00:24:28] Meanwhile, in Yemen, Houti forces are moving to secure key [00:24:32] areas in the Marib and Tains provinces, as the group seeks to expand [00:24:36] its control over its own country. The Houthies have released [00:24:39] footage their offensive against the Saudi backed forces in those [00:24:43] Yemani districts, which are the last government controlled strongholds on the road to the [00:24:47] strategic port city of Aiden. At the video. be independently [00:24:51] verified, but the hootis have already claim to have seized the port of mocka and [00:24:54] perim island, two key areas which tighten their grip on the critical [00:24:58] bab al mandab straight. now amid all the concerns right now [00:25:02] about the conflict escalating, the hooties have issued a warning to Washington [00:25:05] tonight to prepare for the worst if [00:25:09] it gets involved. So what could American intervention mean [00:25:13] for regional security in vital shipping roots? Well, those questions are [00:25:17] pondered over on our website right now. That's our. [00:25:24] To the subcontinent now, because India has beefed up security in its capital as [00:25:28] mass protests raged for a third consecutive day. [00:25:32] Now, initially the demonstrations were led by a youth activist movement called the [00:25:35] cockroaches. However, now different opposition forces have [00:25:39] joined the protests, so the all accusing the ruling government of attempting [00:25:43] electoral fraud, it's something firmly denied by the [00:25:47] authorities, so over now to RT India. Vinayk [00:25:50] digs it explaining what's caused this prolonged [00:25:53] unrest, [00:25:55] now if we talk about the protests that are happening here in India then at the [00:25:59] heart the matter lies an allegation by India's opposition [00:26:03] parties that the election commission's process of revising pole [00:26:06] roles is solely to benefit the Narendra Modi eled [00:26:10] Bharatiya Party the BJP for winning elections [00:26:14] after elections in state after state now uh [00:26:18] the Indian election commission's special intensive revision [00:26:21] process was started in the world's largest democracy [00:26:25] last year and it started with the northern state of bihar now the [00:26:29] intention the process was to remove the names of [00:26:32] voters that have moved away, voters that have registered in more than one [00:26:36] constituencies, voters that have passed away or voters that are due [00:26:40] to any reason whatsoever, unregistered voters, so a [00:26:44] thorough cleaning the election polol roles or the list [00:26:47] of voters, about 130 million names have been flagged or [00:26:51] removed so far, if you think that is a large number, then [00:26:55] think about the total population of India which happens to be [00:26:59] 1.4 billion people, now the final decision on [00:27:02] removing any these names are yet to [00:27:06] be taken, however India's opposition parties alleged [00:27:10] that in the process the special intensive revision, many [00:27:14] legitimate voters name were also struck off from the list [00:27:18] in order to benefit the bharatiya janata party or the [00:27:22] BJP, they claim that these removals now mean that [00:27:25] India's electoral process is no longer level playing [00:27:29] field, the opposition parties also say that this process has already [00:27:33] skewed elections that took place in the month of April where [00:27:37] the BJP one three out of five states. Congress [00:27:41] leader and leader of opposition Rahul Gandi has gone so far as [00:27:44] to call this vote theft and says and argues that any [00:27:48] laws passed by the elected government through the [00:27:52] stolen votes remain to be illegitimate because the process in [00:27:56] itself was illegitimate. The Bharattiya Party, the [00:27:59] BJP as well as the election commission. have denied any [00:28:03] wrong doings as far as the process the SIRR are [00:28:07] concerned. the BJP maintains that the uh that the process was [00:28:10] aimed to remove illegitimate voters from electoral poll roles. home [00:28:14] minister Amit Shah also went on to say that it was to prevent [00:28:18] infiltrators which happens to be euporamism that is [00:28:22] used for illegal immigrants mainly from neighboring [00:28:25] Bangladesh from voting in India's elections. the election [00:28:29] panel contents that any wrongly excluded voters [00:28:33] can request revision in their names and their names can be [00:28:37] included back in the list again. this long simmering [00:28:41] controversy around the special intensive revision became even more [00:28:44] rampant after an Indian print daily the Indian [00:28:48] express released a report which said that in the three [00:28:52] member election commission where there is a chief election commissioner and two [00:28:55] other election commissioners. there were significant difference [00:28:59] between the election chief election commissioner and the other to election [00:29:03] commissioners as far as voter matters like voter [00:29:06] registrations and deletions are concerned, the election [00:29:10] commission on this acknowledged the objections but said that [00:29:14] the final decision that was taken by the body was completely [00:29:17] unanimous. all right, so there are some of your top stories for now here on RT [00:29:21] international, and as we are now working our way towards midnight here in Moscow, [00:29:25] the next program kicks off very [00:29:27] soon. [00:30:00] Today leaders from that grouping. which has armed genocide in [00:30:04] Gaza, meet at something called the Warsaw Security Forum. [00:30:07] Speakers will avowedly call for the destruction the Russian Federation, [00:30:11] not just Ukrainian dictator Zelensky who has been given long range missiles [00:30:15] by Britain, and Intel from the CIA to kill civilians in [00:30:19] Russia. It's also four years today that 143 [00:30:23] out of 193 [00:30:24] general assembly member states voted to condemn Russia for referendums in [00:30:28] the Donbas, Carson and Zaparia. Democracy in the economies of western. [00:30:32] European states that did so are now in chaos as uprisings rage in [00:30:36] Spain and France. Joining me again is someone who was recently at [00:30:39] the latest UN General Assembly in New York. He has tirelessly [00:30:43] fought for the war in Europe to end. Before the 24th of [00:30:47] February 2022, he advised US officials to publicly [00:30:51] admit Ukraine would not be permitted NATO membership.
