[00:00:00] are loud, the debates are fierce, now it's time for [00:00:04] a closer look, know the policy, understand the impact, [00:00:07] america first, we're [00:00:09] scotty, [00:00:22] he is eager to seize upon any words, initiatives or ideas [00:00:26] entering the public discourse, so he can push for some breathing. [00:00:30] "Russia's foreign minister dismisses Vladimir [00:00:34] calls Zelensky's as [00:00:34] ceasefire a ploy to regroup Ukraine's forces. That's [00:00:38] after Keyev demanded the guns fall silent for 60 [00:00:42] days to allow [00:00:43] of for elections. The more we help [00:00:46] in ukraine, the sooner the war will be over. And Brussels adopts yet another package [00:00:50] of anti-Russia sanctions with the EU hoping its 22nd [00:00:53] round of restrictions will do what the previous 21 have failed [00:00:57] to, and that's to bring Moscow to..." [00:01:03] condemns the deadly Houti attacks on Riyadh's main airport, blaming the [00:01:07] group for causing a spiral of violence, although Brussels [00:01:10] conveniently overlooks its own role in fueling the [00:01:13] of violence of when it pumped Saudi Arabia full of weapons in the earlier [00:01:17] phases [00:01:18] of the [00:01:18] conflict. [00:01:25] of is midnight here in Moscow with your top stories [00:01:29] raring to go. [00:01:33] will do anything to buy time to regroup Ukraine's forces. That [00:01:36] is the view of Russia's foreign [00:01:39] in minister, emit yet more talk from Kiev of a [00:01:42] ceasefire. In recent [00:01:45] months, the call for a cease fire [00:01:47] of has replaced the call for inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. In the [00:01:51] rhetoric of both Zelensky and his Western Masters. The [00:01:55] goal is [00:01:56] of singular and very simple, to buy time. He has even said, He [00:02:00] is willing to hold a presidential election, provided he is given two [00:02:04] months to regroup. During that period, Europe could flood him with new [00:02:08] weaponry to continue his terrorist war against the Russian people, but his [00:02:12] fained astonishment regarding President Trump's statement reflects only [00:02:15] one thing: that he desperately wants to [00:02:18] of use any words, any initiatives and any ideas that [00:02:22] enter the public sphere to promote his interest in a breathing [00:02:26] of space, by hook or by Crook. I do not believe he has earned such [00:02:29] a rest. [00:02:36] of We continue to pursue the objectives [00:02:39] of the special military operation. These objectives are well-known [00:02:43] to everyone. We have never altered them, unlike the zigzags [00:02:46] and evasions of Zelensky and his European [00:02:49] of masters. The [00:02:54] in of political pressure on Zelensky is mounting a number of fronts, actually. First, as you know, the American president suddenly stress the other day [00:02:58] that Ukraine needs a new... leader: in response, Zelensky demanded [00:03:02] a 60-day 60-day cease fire to prepare the country to go to the [00:03:06] polls. [00:03:07] of However, it's not just electoral issues that have put Zelensky's old [00:03:11] acting skills back on display, because after [00:03:15] Washington announced a deal on Russian diesel exports [00:03:18] a that the decision was not well received in Kiev, particularly by [00:03:22] Vladimir Zelensky. President Trump said [00:03:25] that um that we need Ukraine needs new [00:03:29] a president, so first of all with all respect to president [00:03:31] Trump, it's up [00:03:35] to our society, up to our people to [00:03:38] choose one or another leader. why [00:03:42] are they blaming you for the continuation of this war? [00:03:45] because these people can't find [00:03:49] a key how [00:03:51] of to stop Putin, [00:03:54] a because it's more [00:03:57] difficult to stop Putin. than to pressure [00:04:00] others, well, according to political risk consultant [00:04:04] and lawyer Adrial Cassonta, he says it's rather foolish [00:04:08] if not dangerous for Zelensky to make an enemy out of Donald [00:04:12] Trump. Well, I completely agree with that statement, [00:04:16] because the [00:04:17] of recent reaction, [00:04:18] of the outburs of anger from the [00:04:22] Ukrainian [00:04:22] of leader after the quite historical words [00:04:26] coming from the [00:04:28] a mouth [00:04:28] of the president [00:04:29] of the... says Donald Trump that uh the uh [00:04:32] of democratic election should be put in place [00:04:35] in in Ukraine because the current leader is not serving his [00:04:39] nation, Mr. Zelinski is [00:04:41] of putting everything into one basket, he's playing a Russian rule, [00:04:45] quite simply put [00:04:46] a it, because he's betting on democrats coming to [00:04:50] power after the mid-terms elections uh related to [00:04:55] of dispopularity [00:04:55] of the Donald Trump in the United States due to his um [00:04:59] unnecessary. with Iran, the thinking in Brussels and both [00:05:02] in in in in Kiev and Brussels is that once the democrats [00:05:06] will take the majority in the United States, the the [00:05:10] previous scenario, which is... "continuation of maximum [00:05:14] pressure on Russia and supplying Ukraine with [00:05:17] money and weapons will continue, so uh, I think that [00:05:21] this is the - one way street um for for Mr. Zelinski, [00:05:25] because maybe even if the democrats will come to power, [00:05:29] still the Donald Trump is a president and has a [00:05:31] significant influence over the foreign policy of his [00:05:35] own uh country, so I i think that making an enemies [00:05:39] both with Russia and United States who is..." main [00:05:42] sponsor who has been the main sponsor of this unnecessary conflict uh [00:05:46] is very dangerous uh a game plan from Mr. Zelinski in [00:05:50] his political circle. This comes as the [00:05:54] European Union has approved yet another sanctions package [00:05:58] on the Russia. We're talking number 22. Brussels once again [00:06:01] claiming it's so important to keep the pressure on Moscow and keep the support [00:06:05] to Ukraine. At the same time, however, it called out Trump's new [00:06:09] diesel deal with Russia. [00:06:14] which [00:06:22] under is pressure, why we are sticking to our sanctions against Russia, the more we help [00:06:25] Ukraine, the sooner the war will be over. what we need [00:06:28] to do is refocus and redouble our efforts in keeping pressure on Russia, that has [00:06:32] to be our priority and that is Europe's priority. this deal [00:06:36] doesn't help neither the prices the oil products, [00:06:40] nor the unity within the transatlantic. community what concerns pressure on [00:06:44] Russia, and it is not the European way, our way is to [00:06:48] increase pressure because we already seen how it works, we are not done [00:06:51] here cuuse for Europe this is the vital interest to help Ukraine to [00:06:55] sustain uh this winter and continuing putting as I already [00:06:59] said pressure, pressure, pressure on Russia. On Friday, Trump and [00:07:03] Putin cut a deal with Washington lifting sanctions on Moscow's diesel [00:07:07] exports. The news so oil prices fall, although they [00:07:11] remained above 100 bucks. the barrel, the agreement says Moscow [00:07:15] will supply 300 thousand tons of diesel to American and [00:07:18] global markets followed by another half million in November, another [00:07:22] 1 million coming after that with a further 3 million later depending on the [00:07:26] condition of Russia's refineries. The decision has been seized upon by [00:07:30] much the media, although they conveniently ignore Europe's own [00:07:34] continued thirst for Russian fuel, something that has not [00:07:37] escaped the attention the American [00:07:39] president. "the European Union [00:07:43] paid Russia $250 billion for energy, and the [00:07:47] fake news media doesn't want to get near that story. I made the right [00:07:51] choice for the American people, always America first. [00:07:55] Well, according to the Russian deputy prime minister, Trump's [00:07:59] actually underreporting just how much diesel is actually due to be [00:08:02] heading state side. According [00:08:06] to our ministry of energy, the figure is significantly higher than even the [00:08:10] 250 billion denounced by our..." colleagues, this amount [00:08:14] totals $320, $7 billion for the period from [00:08:17] 2022 to the present day. this represents the volume of energy [00:08:21] resource supplies to European Union countries regarding the year [00:08:25] 2026. according to the ministry of energy, 21, 3 billion [00:08:29] dollars worth of energy resources have already been supplied to Europe in the first [00:08:32] nine months alone. despite sanctions restrictions, energy resources [00:08:36] continue to be supplied to us via specific channels for which exceptions have [00:08:40] been made. as reliable sup that has always fulfilled its previously signed [00:08:44] contracts, Russia continues to honor its obligations. Indeed, although the [00:08:48] composition of exports to the European Union has changed significantly in recent [00:08:52] years, it was not due to our fault. well, our [00:08:55] correspondingdanov now explains how the EU's latest [00:08:59] sanctions package number 22 in all, is [00:09:02] actually more likely a sign that Brussels is running desperately [00:09:06] low on options to weaken Moscow. the [00:09:09] 22nd package of sanctions, you sanctioning or... these russian entities [00:09:13] and uh Russian companies, firms, people, just individuals, and [00:09:17] clearly this happening against the backdrop of this diesel deal, again it's a message to [00:09:21] Washington, but realistically though, this has been the point that Europe has been [00:09:25] making all along, like we need to apply pressure on Russia to bring [00:09:29] the war, the end the war closer, this is clearly not working, but [00:09:32] you know this definition of insanity, one the definitions, insanity [00:09:36] is you know doing the same thing over and over again and each [00:09:40] time hoping for different result, well I'm sure they are already thinking what they could [00:09:44] include into the 23rd package, how can we make the 23rd [00:09:47] sanctions package the biggest yet? you can clearly hear the rhetoric, for [00:09:51] instance, [00:09:52] the what the Estonian prime minister has said, who openly, openly [00:09:56] defied Washington and called upon Ukraine to keep on [00:10:00] striking the Russian oil [00:10:06] goes against the long-term efforts the western world to limit the flow of [00:10:09] energy revenues to Putin, the U.S. is... [00:10:25] next week whether we can quickly contribute more to Ukraine so that they can strike [00:10:29] Russian oil refineries. It is a bit [00:10:33] ironic though that they cry foul in unison all [00:10:36] together Europe saying oh how can you give [00:10:39] how can you fund fund Putin's war effort with your money [00:10:43] with your diesel deal and it is ironic because [00:10:46] this is something that Europe has been doing all these years literally all [00:10:50] these years Europe has been buying gas has been buying Russia's Russia's [00:10:54] metals. pretty much just this year alone they purchased [00:10:57] Europe purchased just about 10 billion dollars worth of goods from [00:11:01] Russia, 6 billions just over six billions accounting for with [00:11:05] well well with gas accounting for 6.1 billion [00:11:09] of of this now of course we don't know how how much Russia [00:11:12] will get in this diesel deal with the United States given how many steps [00:11:16] in it there is, but essentially if you look at the at the [00:11:20] oil prices and if you take the figure as to how much Russia has agreed so [00:11:24] far to to supply the United States with, that's in [00:11:28] the realms of 7 billion dollars, yeah, so 6 billion for gas [00:11:32] in case of Europe, 7 billion, in case of diesel in the [00:11:36] United States, Europe has been doing all the same things, they have been you know [00:11:40] also funding Putin's war efforts and so on, it just they've been doing it [00:11:43] quietly, seems like the only threat to to this deal is Kiev, because [00:11:47] Zelinski said that he's going to continue attacking Russian oil [00:11:51] refineries, but why is he so keen on? [00:11:55] on sabotaging Washington's uh plans. Well, it's [00:11:58] pretty clear, you just have to look at what Kiev has had to say before that. They wanted [00:12:02] this energy deal, but a very different, well shape and form. They [00:12:06] wanted strikes against you know power stations to be [00:12:10] included to be banned under this deal, strikes against port infrastructure, [00:12:14] against rail infrastructure. They wanted all of that to be banned under [00:12:18] this, umbrella energy deal. Well, Russia has from the very [00:12:22] gadgo has been saying, well refineries fine. Let's let's hold the strikes [00:12:26] and well it's it's clear why, because well Ukraine doesn't really produce [00:12:30] anything in this sense. Zelenski, well he's been uh, he's been [00:12:34] making some very unhinged claim saying that well, the United States should have come [00:12:38] to Ukraine and made deal with Ukraine as if Ukraine, [00:12:41] well in his words it does, controls the out the Russian [00:12:45] output, [00:12:49] conclude a diesel deal with Ukraine? Let Ukraine offer a diesel [00:12:53] deal, we influence whether these. go or not, whether these [00:12:56] refineries work or not, so yes, let's sign the corresponding diesel [00:13:00] deal with the president the United States of America. Again, this is [00:13:04] also quite ironic to come from a man whose entire budget, [00:13:08] entire country lives of whatever Europe has to give [00:13:12] to them, otherwise they don't even have enough to pay salaries to the most [00:13:16] crucial part their society right now, and that's their servicement, it [00:13:19] seems that the weight of supporting [00:13:23] Kiev's war machine is now... uh being pressed on uh [00:13:27] Brussel's shoulders, so what does Russia have to say about? Indeed, [00:13:31] it has been the policy the Trump administration for a while now, [00:13:35] you know, let Europe pay for the war in Europe. According to Russia, well, [00:13:39] Europe has already shown that it is not, they can say, they can [00:13:42] talk however much they want about wanting to bring this war to an [00:13:46] end, but they don't, because every, because we've seen everything that they have [00:13:49] implied so far, here it has failed, but still, Europe [00:13:53] is definitely a party acts like a party in this war while Washington is [00:13:57] trying to uh have look and try to trying to find [00:14:01] solutions. Europey, the Europeans clearly do not belong [00:14:05] to the [00:14:05] party of peace, the party that seeks ways toward a peaceful settlement. The Europeans are [00:14:09] more like the party of war, which continues to do everything to prevent this war from [00:14:13] stopping. We are far more impressed by the efforts the American [00:14:16] negotiators. So right now we are a bit of crossroads here with [00:14:20] one way being, well it could all with, I mean all of this huffing and... [00:14:25] puffing if that will just remain that [00:14:28] you know all talk and uh Europe and Zelensky will talk [00:14:31] uh very tough but won't act on these words or if they will [00:14:35] decide to directly try and disrupt Russia's well shipments to the [00:14:39] United States beat vessels or be it attacks against you know infrastructure inside [00:14:43] Russia and that would be interesting to see if they choose that that [00:14:47] sort of course of events if they choose the latter then well Trump has quite a few quite [00:14:51] a few means to apply pressure and to punish uh anyone. in [00:14:55] Ukraine for in Ukraine and Europe for disobedience, starting with the [00:14:59] most obvious options like cutting intelligence sharing and switching off the [00:15:02] starlink, you know dishes. Well let's take this conversation [00:15:06] further here on the program, crossing a live right now, there she is, political psychologist, [00:15:10] former Donald treay Trump AID there, Dr. Jan Harper [00:15:14] Hays live and worldwide joining us from Antalia [00:15:23] Friday's Trump Putin deal highlight. the importance of Russian diesel to [00:15:26] Washington and the global markets as well, but Zelensky [00:15:30] perhaps a bit reluctant to honor this diesel deal, is there [00:15:34] any chance, doctor that Kiev is going to... risk [00:15:38] jeopadizing its friendship with a Trump white house over [00:15:41] this. Oh, they have continually [00:15:45] risked their relationship. [00:15:47] I mean, from the moment that Zelinsky came and sat in the White House with [00:15:50] Trump and his whole attitude. You know, on one [00:15:54] hand, I respect Zelinski for [00:15:58] defending his country, but on the other hand, there is [00:16:01] been nothing conciliatory throughout all [00:16:05] of this from. position [00:16:09] and he doesn't seem ever try to [00:16:12] read Trump, but instead does [00:16:16] things as he wants to really just keep this war [00:16:19] going on, he will sabotage any peace [00:16:23] any way. Trump [00:16:27] has now asked Zelensky not for the first time to stop attacks [00:16:31] on Russian energy infrastructure. In fact, if I'm not [00:16:34] mistaken, this is actually the... fixth [00:16:38] time that Washington has asked Kiyev not to attack [00:16:42] Russian energy infrastructure, do you think Zelensky will honor [00:16:46] the request this time? uh, [00:16:49] no, because I think he's taken a position [00:16:53] that he is emphasizing Ukraine's power [00:16:56] grid, and he will find any which way to [00:17:00] criticize Russia to sabotage [00:17:04] any efforts from Russia, and... without [00:17:08] any understanding of [00:17:11] how that is turning Trump against [00:17:14] him. There's not an appreciation for the [00:17:18] kind of support that the US has given, and part of [00:17:22] that comes because Europe is for [00:17:25] Ukraine and against Russia, so he thinks that he's [00:17:29] got the power, but I don't [00:17:33] think he does. Doctor, it does appear [00:17:36] that... sometimes tries to undermine Trump, is [00:17:40] that because of his unwavering support in the EU or is there something [00:17:44] else [00:17:51] um, I, I think the bottom line, [00:17:54] if we look at his motivation, he absolutely [00:17:58] loves the position that he's in right now, and he wants to [00:18:02] keep that war going, and the kind of money [00:18:06] that comes... from the US and from [00:18:10] Europe [00:18:28] um, I, I, I think that Zelinsky is taking [00:18:32] a position with blinders [00:18:36] on that, that it's only Ukraine, he will [00:18:39] do whatever he has to do for Ukraine, but has [00:18:43] not made any overtures, any [00:18:47] conciliation even try and find a [00:18:51] way to have agreement, even in the short term, even in [00:18:55] this right now, he's not demonstrating [00:18:59] any understanding of what Trump has [00:19:02] requested for the moment, for a [00:19:06] short period of time, "and he's not willing to give into him for [00:19:09] that. Yeah, Dr. Jan Halpace is a political psychologist, a [00:19:13] former AID to Donald Trump joining us live and [00:19:26] claim they have successfully targeted King Khalid International Airport [00:19:29] in Riyadh this evening with ballistic missile. [00:19:33] Unverified footage appearing to show the moment of an explosion striking the airport. for [00:19:37] the fourth time in about a week, however the sound coalition is [00:19:41] countering these reports claiming they successfully intercepted and shot down the [00:19:45] incoming missiles. this comes after three other [00:19:49] hoouti attacks on the riad international airport. we'll bring up some [00:19:53] disturbing footage from Saturday the deadly attack from the [00:19:57] Riad airport that claim the lives of 13 people, wounded more than [00:20:01] 300. the hoothi group said it carried out the attacks in [00:20:04] retaliation for Saudi aggression and it's targeting. of civilian [00:20:08] infrastructure all across [00:20:10] Yemen, well Europe has certainly been among the voices [00:20:14] condemming the attacks on Riyad's international [00:20:16] airport. The [00:20:20] deadliest Houti attack so far on Riyad's airport marks a [00:20:23] dangerous escalation. These attacks by Iran's proxies are [00:20:27] pushing the region into a spiral of [00:20:29] violence. Well, despite those words, [00:20:33] Riad is said to have been deeply disappointed by the scale of support from his west. [00:20:37] and allies that this is being reported by Bloomberg citing its own [00:20:41] sources, nevertheless against this backdrop, the Saudis have been pressing [00:20:44] European capitals for concrete military [00:20:47] assistance, namely request aid from London, [00:20:51] Paris and Berlin. Britain has sent air defenses along with [00:20:55] air to air refueling support for Saudi fighter jets. France [00:20:59] has pledged troops, radars and defense systems to help protect [00:21:02] energy infrastructure, and while Riad has officially [00:21:06] requested help from Germany, it remains unclear whether Berlin has or even [00:21:10] will provide any further assistance, [00:21:13] and while help from Europe is clearly on the table right now, the scale of [00:21:17] support is very different compared to what happened in 20. [00:21:21] 2015, looking back as the Saudis began their militia back campaign [00:21:25] into Yemen to take on the hoothi's billions of euros worth of [00:21:29] arms, export licenses were made from European countries, France [00:21:32] topping the list, 17 billion in deals for [00:21:36] its military industrial complex, the UK pocketed about four and a [00:21:40] half billion while Berlin is cashing in in one way or another, [00:21:44] and on the latest episode the Sanchez effect, it's former British diplomatic [00:21:48] Craig Murray, why European leaders [00:21:52] condemn the hoothies as barbarians while turning a blind eye to [00:21:56] Saudi Arabia's own record of attacks on civilians [00:22:00] across Yemen. Most the [00:22:03] European countries, including the brids, are condemning the [00:22:07] hoothies for the attacks on the Saudi [00:22:10] Airport etc. They've released statement, they've they've called the [00:22:14] actions the huties barbaric, and I'm thinking just like [00:22:18] the [00:22:19] ma, the same thing they called. the ma the same thing they called a lot the liberation groups [00:22:23] in Africa when they went there and stole their land and raped them and killed [00:22:26] them and chopped up their arms and everything they said they were the barbaric [00:22:30] ones what are you talking [00:22:37] so the Brits and the Europeans are complaining about the Hutis I I think [00:22:41] the hoothis are kind of an honorable bunch even though they do fight [00:22:45] wars and sandals which I don't understand so we did a little research [00:22:49] here. [00:22:50] do you know how much money uh the uh Europeans have [00:22:54] made so far in arms sales to the Saudis, which again [00:22:58] goes to your [00:23:04] 17 billion, France, UK made [00:23:08] 7 billion dollars in arms sales to the [00:23:12] uh saudis, right? Germany 2 billion, Spain [00:23:16] 2 billion, so to your point, [00:23:19] of course... [00:23:19] they're calling the savages, they're they're [00:23:23] bought and sold by the other side. [00:23:27] i think that's that's true, and and the extraordinary thing is that [00:23:31] with this incredible imbalance of weapons, because [00:23:35] the i think, [00:23:36] but those can't be [00:23:37] all time totals, because they've been individual deals that have been bigger [00:23:40] than the total you gave for the UK, for example, this must be [00:23:44] a recent period, well this [00:23:48] was during was during the... [00:23:56] was only during the first Saudi Yemen war that these [00:24:00] numbers, they've gone probably above that since then, [00:24:03] yes, yeah, they've gone way past [00:24:06] that, and the amount, the total amount of weapons that [00:24:10] the the Ansala people have ever possessed, it's [00:24:13] probably 5% of that, um, [00:24:17] the uh, and yet the Saudis. of all of that [00:24:21] firepower, all of that modern equipment are unable to defeat them and in [00:24:25] fact continually lose, the the war has been over [00:24:29] 20 year period, a [00:24:32] continual process for Saudis losing ground, [00:24:36] because they may have all the weaponry and all the money, but they have [00:24:39] no belief in the in their own cause, [00:24:43] and i was doing a little research yesterday, i was trying to [00:24:46] tot up in the last 12 years since ' andala [00:24:50] have controlled the airports in [00:24:54] Sona, um, I, I found [00:24:57] 27 different times the Saudis have bombed [00:25:00] Sanar airport, and not on one of those 27 [00:25:04] times did the European Union condemn this the [00:25:08] Saudis for bombing sanner airport, which is a civilian [00:25:11] airport. [00:25:20] Meanwhile, in Yemen, Huti forces are moving to secure key areas in the [00:25:24] Marib and Tais provinces, as the group seeks to expand, [00:25:27] control [00:25:28] over its country. The Houties have released footage their offensive [00:25:32] against Saudi-backed forces in those districts, which are the last government control [00:25:36] strongholds on the road to the strategic for city of Aiden. This video [00:25:40] cannot be independently verified. The hutis have already claimed to [00:25:44] have seized the port of Mocca and Petim Island, two key areas which [00:25:48] tightened their grip on the critical Baba. mandeb straight [00:25:52] and amid all the concerns right now about the conflict escalating, the hoothies have issued a [00:25:55] warning to Washington tonight to prepare for the worst [00:25:59] if it gets involved, so what could... American intervention [00:26:03] mean for regional security and vital shipping roots? Those questions are [00:26:07] discussed with expert analysis on our [00:26:09] website. For [00:26:13] now, India has beefed up security in the capital as mass protests have been [00:26:17] raging for a third consecutive day. Now initially the demonstrations were [00:26:21] led by a youth activist movement called the cockroaches. However, [00:26:25] now different opposition forces have joined the protests accusing the ruling [00:26:29] government of attempting electoral fraud. Something. firmly [00:26:33] denied by the authorities, so over now to RT India correspondent [00:26:36] Venayak dicks it explaining what's behind this prolonged [00:26:40] unrest. now if we talk about the protests that are happening [00:26:44] here in India then at the heart the matter lies an [00:26:47] allegation by India's opposition parties that the election [00:26:50] commission's process of revising pole roles is [00:26:54] soly to benefit the Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata [00:26:57] Party, the BJP for winning elections after [00:27:01] elections in state. after state now uh the Indian [00:27:05] election commission's special intensive revision process [00:27:09] was started in the world's largest democracy last year and it [00:27:12] started with the northern state of Bihar. Now the intention the [00:27:16] process was to remove the names of voters that have moved [00:27:20] away, voters that have registered in more than one constituencies, [00:27:23] voters that have passed away or voters that are due to any reason [00:27:27] whatsoever unregistered voters. So a thorough cleaning [00:27:31] the election. pole roles or the list of voters, [00:27:35] about 130 million names have been flagged or removed [00:27:39] so far, if you think that is a large number, then think about the total [00:27:43] population of India which happens to be 1.4 billion [00:27:47] people. now the final decision on removing any [00:27:50] these names are yet to be taken, [00:27:54] however India's opposition parties alleged that in the [00:27:57] process the special intensive revision many legitimate [00:28:01] voters name were also struck off from the list in order to [00:28:05] benefit the bharatiya janata party or the BJP, they [00:28:09] claim that these removals now mean that India's electoral [00:28:13] process is no longer level playing field. the opposition [00:28:16] parties also say that this process has already skewed [00:28:20] elections that took place in the month of April where the [00:28:23] BJP one three out of five states. Congress leader [00:28:27] and leader of opposition Rahul Gandi has gone so far as to call [00:28:31] this vote. left and says and argues that any laws passed [00:28:35] by the elected government through the stolen votes [00:28:39] remain to be illegitimate because the process in itself was [00:28:43] illegitivate the bharatiya janta party the BJP as well [00:28:47] as the election commission have denied any wrong doings as [00:28:51] far as the process the SIRR are concerned the BJP [00:28:54] maintains that the uh that the process was aimed to remove [00:28:58] illegitimate voters from electoral poll roles home minister Amit Shah or [00:29:02] also went to say that it was to prevent infiltrators, which [00:29:06] happens to be euphemism that is used for illegal immigrants [00:29:10] mainly from neighboring Bangladesh from voting in [00:29:14] India's elections. the election panel content that [00:29:17] any wrongly excluded voters can request revision [00:29:21] in their names and their names can be included back in the list [00:29:25] again. this long simmering controversy around the special [00:29:28] intensive revision became even more rampant after and [00:29:32] Indian Print Daily the Indian Express released a report which [00:29:36] said that in the three Member Election Commission where there is a chief [00:29:40] election commissioner and two other election commissioners there was [00:29:44] significant difference between the election chief election commissioner and the [00:29:48] other to election commissioners as far as [00:29:51] voter matters like voter registrations and deletions [00:29:55] are concerned [00:29:56] the election commission on this acknowledged the objections but [00:29:59] said that the final decision that was taken by the body was [00:30:03] completely unanimous.
