[00:52:42] Abdul Qadir Jabbari from Pakistan did not forget
[00:52:45] the Turkish Red Crescent, which extended a helping hand to his
[00:52:49] family during the flood disasters 17 years ago. Jabbari,
[00:52:52] who came to Turkey for his doctorate, participated in the first aid and
[00:52:56] migration-themed program and became a Turkish Red Crescent volunteer.
[00:53:01] "We already knew that the Turks were helpful
[00:53:18] people, but because we saw it ourselves and
[00:53:21] witnessed it ourselves, it was always in our minds
[00:53:24] that we wished God would give us such a state
[00:53:28] one day so that we could help too."
[00:53:30] Abdul Qadir Jabbari experienced the great
[00:53:33] flood disaster in Pakistan in 2009 and 2010.
[00:53:37] In the disasters where 1210 people lost their lives, the Turkish
[00:53:40] Red Crescent extended a helping hand to his family.
[00:53:43] He also guided the Red Crescent workers in the region.
[00:53:47] He said, "They brought tents, food, medicine
[00:53:50] and so on. Then we met the Red Crescent there.
[00:53:54] A big flood came to Pakistan in 2010.
[00:53:56] There are two provinces there, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
[00:54:00] Of course, the Red Crescent was there again. It helped a lot there. Our families
[00:54:04] were not very wealthy families,
[00:54:07] because we were living as refugees, we were also meeting family needs.
[00:54:10] There were such things too. Everything, thank God, was provided
[00:54:14] by the Red Crescent. We are in prayer."
[00:54:17] Jabbari came to Turkey as a doctoral student
[00:54:20] with a scholarship from the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related
[00:54:24] Communities in 2024. He said, "In 2024,
[00:54:27] I was selected by YTB as a doctoral student. I came, and
[00:54:31] since I knew the Red Crescent, I thought of coming to the Red Crescent
[00:54:35] and volunteering." Jabbari, 35, participated
[00:54:39] in the First Aid and Migration-themed program organized in cooperation
[00:54:42] with the Turkish Red Crescent and YTB and received training.
[00:54:46] He is continuing his doctorate in accounting and finance
[00:54:49] at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University.
