[00:00:05] of [00:00:13] of The Saudi Load [00:00:16] Coalition in Yemen says more than dozen civilians have been injured [00:00:20] in attacks by the Hufis as the two sides continue to trade [00:00:24] fire in the latest [00:00:25] of escalation. Hello and welcome to TRT World [00:00:29] Live from Istanbul, I'm Oscar Sabakty, also ahead on the [00:00:32] program. Iran's revolutionary guard says an oil tanker has [00:00:36] exploded and caught fire after striking mines while sailing through the [00:00:40] straight of [00:00:42] in hormos. And Ukraine's president says his country is ready to deescalate the [00:00:45] war if Russia does the same. As Donald Trump says both sides have [00:00:49] agreed to [00:00:50] of holt strikes on energy [00:00:51] sites. [00:01:09] of of [00:01:13] The Saudi led Coalition in Yemen says 13 civilians have been [00:01:16] injured after the Ansar Alahuthies attacked three Saudi [00:01:20] cities with ballistic missiles and drones on Monday. The [00:01:24] kingdom had issued emergency alerts for Kamis, Musashit, [00:01:27] abha and Taif where homes. cars and other civilian infrastructure [00:01:31] were damaged. Meanwhile, the Yemani army says [00:01:35] of it struck several Ansar Althi positions along the Red Sea [00:01:38] coast. Targets included military equipment, occupied buildings [00:01:42] of and Huty fighters in [00:01:44] of Dubab and [00:01:45] of Al-Kawaka. And US Vice President J.D. Vance [00:01:48] says Washington is in direct talks with the hoothies. He says the US is [00:01:52] also concerned after the group seized another island near the [00:01:56] of Bab Almandab straight. Concerns. Certainly, [00:02:00] it's something that we're keeping pretty close tabs on. Uh, we've been in [00:02:04] constant contact with the Emiratis, the Saudis and others who are affected in the [00:02:07] region, so it's something [00:02:09] of the United [00:02:09] me States administration is very much top of. Uh, we've also been [00:02:12] engaged in direct conversations with the hoothies themselves, so [00:02:16] we actually feel like we are top [00:02:19] of the situation, it's a very fluid and dynamic thing, but we're going to [00:02:23] keep on monitoring it, making sure that American's best interests are [00:02:26] represented. Muhammad has... This [00:02:30] update from the Yemani capital regarding the [00:02:34] latest attack wiged by the His and [00:02:37] of especially what has been mentioned by the His military speaks person is [00:02:41] mentioned that they have waged wide scale uh large scale [00:02:44] attack on the air base of King Khalid [00:02:48] in Khamis Musheit in deep inside Saudi [00:02:52] of territories the he said that this attack is in [00:02:54] of retaliatory uh in retaliation to the uh to the to nearly [00:02:59] of 300 airs that have that have had been waged uh within just [00:03:03] five days uh as he mentioned in his presser so [00:03:06] far the recently the houties also [00:03:10] mentioned [00:03:11] of from their media outlets that the the Saudi Arabia fighter [00:03:14] jets have weighed uh 54 rais [00:03:18] of just in within the [00:03:19] of 24 last [00:03:20] of 24 hours so the we are witnessing a continuation [00:03:24] of the rais they accused Saudi Arabia of waging these air strikes [00:03:27] the mentioning that the Saudi Arabia is using what he what [00:03:31] the what the what the his military spokes person [00:03:35] says as the typhoon typhoon [00:03:39] 15 fighter jets that are being used also they are [00:03:42] mentioning the the time codes or the timing [00:03:45] of the the the the [00:03:47] of take off and the also the return back [00:03:49] of these fighter jets and from where basically they were [00:03:53] uh these attacks were [00:03:55] of launched a according to these military spokes person so we are witnessing a continuation [00:03:59] a of the [00:03:59] of the [00:03:59] of the the war. Andy Rosedon is [00:04:03] following developments from Washington [00:04:06] a DC. President Trump did confirm that he did have [00:04:09] of a phone conversation with the Saudi crown prince Muhammad bin Salmon in the last [00:04:13] few days and MBS reportedly asked [00:04:15] of Trump for military help to fight the hooties and the Trump team said [00:04:19] no, but they are offering intelligent support. In fact, the head of Centcom [00:04:23] was in Saudi Arabia reportedly in the last couple of days talking about the [00:04:26] urgency of this and offering this intelligence support. rather [00:04:30] remarkable that you heard there, vice [00:04:32] of president J.D. Vence talking about the Trump team in direct communication with the [00:04:36] hooties. Uh, you, the Trump team did attack the [00:04:39] hooties with air strikes twice, once in 2024 and once in [00:04:44] of 2025, and usually it's a pretty big no for presidential administration [00:04:48] to have direct communication with someone they believe is a [00:04:51] terrorist [00:04:53] of group. However, the Trump team was in communication with Hamas [00:04:56] in the lead-up to that Gaza [00:04:59] of ceasefire, so that... might not be as unexpected for the Trump team in all of [00:05:03] this. Now axios is reporting that last July, just a couple months [00:05:06] ago, the Saudis were telling the Trump team that they could handle the hooties on their [00:05:10] own, that they didn't need help. but now with these increased attacks, [00:05:14] apparently the Saudis do need more help, but the Trump team [00:05:17] reportedly says they do not want to open up new front in this [00:05:21] war, they just want to concentrate on Iran, trying to keep the [00:05:25] straight of homos open, they don't want to open up new front uh [00:05:29] to to help the Saudis in this regard militarily, however this [00:05:33] does obviously drag the Saudis into uh this [00:05:36] siranian conflict with the US, which is exactly the big fear that everyone had [00:05:40] that this would become a widening war. [00:05:44] Iranian state media say a drone strike has hit two Iranian [00:05:48] fishing boats leaving several people missing. the strike happened near the [00:05:52] port of Kargan along the state of hormoz. a separate incident [00:05:55] aran's revolutionary guards says an oil tanker exploded and caught [00:05:59] fire after striking mines in the waterway. the [00:06:02] IRGC says the vessel entered what it called a prohibited [00:06:06] zone, but the US military disputes that account saying the tanker [00:06:10] was previously struck by Iran and rended. inoperable last [00:06:13] month. Ryan Boll is a senior Middle East and North Africa analyst at [00:06:17] the Risk Assistant Network Exchange. He says Washington [00:06:21] currently has little incentive escalate its attacks on [00:06:24] Iran. I would describe it as [00:06:27] latent, that is that a single incident like this is [00:06:31] unlikely to trigger the full-scale spring escalation that [00:06:35] we saw uh for different reasons. From the American perspective, their [00:06:39] low ammunitions, [00:06:40] the the Pentagon Inspector General came out. like with how low those munitions [00:06:44] are, and so it's no secret that the Americans have simply run out the [00:06:47] high-end equipment that they prefer for this kind of war, and the political will in [00:06:51] Washington is also very low for regional escalation, plus we're also [00:06:55] dealing with all the economic effects the closure of hormoves from higher [00:06:59] than normal bond rates to growing inflation worries to [00:07:03] higher gas prices. There's a lot of reasons that the US wants to to not seize [00:07:07] a single moment uh to return to that escalation that we saw in the [00:07:11] spring from the Iran. perspective it's similar in that they believe that their [00:07:15] current strategy is paying off against the Americans, undermining their [00:07:18] economy, undermining their political will, so there's not a strong incentive to [00:07:22] go back to a full-scale escalation unless they are provoked by the [00:07:26] Americans first, and so we're that's where we're at is we're looking at the [00:07:30] Americans as the first movers for escalation, but at least at the [00:07:33] moment there's not a strong driver to do so at the scale we saw earlier this [00:07:37] year. Oil prices are rising as [00:07:41] concerns. grow over possible disruptions to global [00:07:44] supplies. the international benchmark brent crude has climbed to [00:07:48] around $107 a barrel, while key Saudi oil [00:07:52] pipeline is expected to be out of service weeks after attack [00:07:56] on Friday, but energy and oil market analyst Garab Sharma says [00:08:00] increased US oil supplies are helping ease some the [00:08:04] pressure. what we have witnessing is that [00:08:08] we are sort of back to March, April levels, the height the Iran war. [00:08:12] and the reason for that is not because there is shortaging of oil in the market, [00:08:16] but rather both choke points, hormose and barbel straight [00:08:20] are causing a lot of consennation [00:08:22] in the market. in this part the world, asia, there is lot [00:08:26] of reliance on middle eastern crude, there is some relief from [00:08:30] us oil exports coming to this part the world, but there still a lot of [00:08:33] anxieties both on oil and the natural gas front. the saudis [00:08:37] had pivoted to that pipeline, now there is disruption, they were using [00:08:41] this critical ... to mitigate their exposure to the straight of hermous [00:08:45] and there was some relief out in Asian markets, the the peak of [00:08:49] jet fuel prices etc [00:08:51] that we saw in the summer had sort of kind of come down now again [00:08:54] tensions back in the market because the sheer volume of crude that was [00:08:58] being exported from that part the world has started to hit the [00:09:02] supply chain in Asia. now what we have here is is kind of [00:09:06] like the paradoxical situations that the Saudis are [00:09:09] exporting less, but in fact given the... 300 three figure [00:09:13] oil prices above $100, they are tend to [00:09:17] the sort of pulling in more revenue and that is not good for [00:09:21] some the economies, the emerging markets out in Asia where oil [00:09:24] prices are causing a lot of inflationary pressures. i think quite a bit [00:09:28] the the the risk has been priced in. if you're looking at this [00:09:31] situation say say 10 years ago and this was not happening, adjusted for [00:09:35] inflation, we be looking at $200 oil prices, the only the [00:09:39] one and only reason that has not happened is because there is lot of [00:09:43] American light sweet crude which is heading to the high demand [00:09:47] markets out in Asia, Thailand, where I am, Vietnam, Cambodia, [00:09:50] China there we say, so what we're seeing here is that US [00:09:54] supplies are mitigating some the price pressures, but you can [00:09:58] only do as much because this is a market that trades on sentiment [00:10:02] and sentiment light now says 20% or fifth the world [00:10:06] supplies are being impacted with the skirmishes in the Middle [00:10:09] East. [00:10:21] Ukraine's president Vladimir Zelensky says Kiv is to take [00:10:25] steps towards deescalation, but only if Moscow also commits to [00:10:29] holding attacks on Ukrainian [00:10:31] infrastructure. Right now, there is also a [00:10:35] strong proposal from the United States regarding a mutual halt to [00:10:38] strikes on critical infrastructure, and if this can become the first [00:10:42] deescalatory step, stopping Russian strikes on our critical [00:10:46] infrastructure and hours in response, then Ukraine is ready to support [00:10:50] deescalation. Earlier, US [00:10:53] president Donald Trump. Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a mutual [00:10:57] pause on strikes against energy infrastructure, posting on his truth [00:11:01] social platform, Trump said, Ukraine has agreed not to hit [00:11:05] Russian energy targets, Russia has agreed to do likewise. The [00:11:09] world's diesel price rise is mostly caused by the [00:11:12] Russia-Ukraine war, not Iran. [00:11:16] Peter Dinkinson is in Kieve. He says Ukraine would likely [00:11:19] support a cease fire covering energy infrastructure, provided Russia [00:11:23] agrees to the same term. Ukraine [00:11:27] has actually proposed very similar um partial ceasefires [00:11:31] in relation to ener energy infrastructure a number of occasions, just [00:11:35] recently again with the most recent time [00:11:38] uh and each time Russia has said no, we're not interested, we don't want that [00:11:41] um and has remained quite quite quite unwilling to [00:11:45] cooperate, so it's not clear what has changed here, why uh Russia would [00:11:49] suddenly have have decided that it would go forward, so at this point I think that the [00:11:53] mood in Kiev is very much that... 'um president Trump was getting a little bit ahead [00:11:57] of himself, he was jumping the gun so to speak by declaring this [00:12:01] done deal as a [00:12:02] as he often does, um, we're actually still quite far away [00:12:06] from acfire, now if the Russians come forward and saying actually we would be [00:12:10] interested in this kind [00:12:11] of a this kind of deal to have a partial ceasefire on [00:12:14] specifically on energy infrastructure, the Ukrainians I think would definitely want to want to [00:12:18] explore that in more detail, as they say they they proposed exactly [00:12:22] that a number of occasions, but they will be looking'. for some sort of a control [00:12:26] mechanism um to avoid what we've seen in other ceasefires which have [00:12:30] happened on over over national holidays and the like where both sides have [00:12:34] basically accused the other of breaking the ceasefire um it's been a rather [00:12:37] unclear picture [00:12:39] and and there's been no real progress so if they were to have proceed with some sort of se sort of [00:12:43] cease fire it would be very important to have some form of some [00:12:47] mechanism for monitoring this and enforcing it uh that the international [00:12:51] community would would need to be involved in alexander. [00:12:55] Crowher is a senior fellow at the center for European policy analysis. He [00:12:59] says the real challenge will be holding Moscow to the terms the [00:13:02] agreement. The Russians will sign [00:13:06] anything. They sign the intermediate nuclear uh [00:13:10] intermediate range nuclear force treaty, the INF treaty, [00:13:13] and then developed a long-range missiles [00:13:17] and so uh, [00:13:19] it would be very difficult to hold them to [00:13:22] this, um, [00:13:23] you know, uh, what, what are you going to? do if they continue to [00:13:27] to uh attack Ukrainian infrastructure, wag your [00:13:30] finger at them and uh send an aggressively worded paper, [00:13:34] well [00:13:35] you know Vladimir Putin keeps repeating what [00:13:38] his uh what his goals are and they haven't [00:13:42] changed uh uh denusification meaning getting rid [00:13:45] the Zelinski regime uh no uh [00:13:49] no NATO no EU [00:13:52] uh Russia gets to keep the uh four [00:13:56] areas in the donbas uh and [00:13:59] Ukraine has to uh publicly [00:14:03] state that uh that crimea is is part of [00:14:06] Russia and so they haven't changed their goals from the very [00:14:10] beginning, they may agree to something to get some pressure [00:14:14] off uh but like Zelinski [00:14:17] I'm skeptical that they would uh they would actually cleave to [00:14:21] deal. Donald Trump is pushing back. [00:14:25] against growing fears over artificial intelligence, calling efforts to rain [00:14:29] in the technology, part of what he describes as sick [00:14:32] conspiracy. the US president is dismissing warnings from tech [00:14:36] leaders at companies including anthropic, open AI and space [00:14:40] x who are calling for greater government oversight of AI and [00:14:43] warning it could pose an existential threat to humanity. [00:14:47] Trump has branded those concerns a hoax, saying the only guard rail [00:14:51] AI needs is a smart president. his vice president [00:14:55] also warned against tighter regulation the [00:14:57] technology. well that's the news for now, [00:15:01] don't forget you can visit our website for details on all of our main stories, you'll [00:15:05] find them at trtworld.com or follow us on x at [00:15:09] trtworld. stay with us, newsfeed is [00:15:12] next. [00:15:26] Hello, I'm Lara. Son and this is newsfeed. Your those are what people are [00:15:29] talking about online. Artificial intelligence is already [00:15:33] reshaping modern warfare. From the battlefields of Ukraine. to [00:15:37] Israel's war on Gaza, militaries are increasingly turning to [00:15:41] tech. Now one the world's leading AI companies says their [00:15:45] tools were also used in attempt to develop more advanced missiles in [00:15:48] Yemen. Antropics says it shut down a group of accounts linked [00:15:52] to users in Northern Yemen, after identifying what it described as [00:15:56] attempts to develop advanced missile technology using its cloud AI [00:16:00] model. According to the company, the users relied on clot to [00:16:04] write guidance, navigation and control software. for a [00:16:08] multiviant missile program. Anthropic says they also [00:16:11] carried out fail test of a guided rocket before returning [00:16:15] to the chatbot to ask why it had not worked. The [00:16:19] company says there's no evidence they succeeded in producing an [00:16:23] operational weapon. Hethies, a militia group based [00:16:27] in Yemen, used Anthropics AI, the publicly available one that you can just [00:16:31] subscribe to build missile systems. They were developing three different [00:16:34] missile systems using publicly accessible AI. and they did not get [00:16:38] caught straight away, so they were using multiple accounts and multiple sessions to [00:16:42] essentially separate out their research when trying to build these missile systems. they even [00:16:46] got one them to the testing stage. they were trying to build missile systems that can reach [00:16:50] up to 1500 to 2000 kilometers away, and top of this there's [00:16:53] evidence that they were also researching biological weapons. now the hoothies, they [00:16:57] already have ballistic missiles, the problem is making them and getting the people available with the [00:17:01] knowledge to be able to make them, and they said in their report published by Anthropic [00:17:05] that they could tell that these people were not. nears and they were essentially trying to substitute the [00:17:09] knowledge that they had by using AI and they were able to do this for a [00:17:13] period of time, because if they were able to get to the testing stage, it just proves [00:17:17] again that they did not get caught straight away. terrifying part the report is where [00:17:21] they say these people use commodity phone clask flight computers, which is [00:17:25] very fancy way of saying they used hardware from mobile phones, which [00:17:29] is again easily accessible to anyone in the public and to use the [00:17:32] hardware and technology these phones combined with Anthropic's publicly [00:17:36] accessible, to get to the testing stage of [00:17:40] ballistic missile. the company says the users had already built [00:17:43] offline simulation tools before turning to AI, suggesting [00:17:47] the chatbot was used to accelerate development rather than replace [00:17:51] it. the hoouties reject the allegations, calling the claims [00:17:55] unreasonable and illogical. they say the group's military [00:17:58] capabilities were developed over years and that its weapons are [00:18:02] used for self-defense. no, the hootis did not use [00:18:06] cloud to build their... this is obviously propaganda from anthropic as [00:18:10] well as the US government, both of whom work very closely together, and [00:18:14] no matter what the US media tries to tell you, the hoothies are not very [00:18:17] sophisticated and they know very well that us ai models such as [00:18:21] chat, gpt and claud are even less secure than public google searches [00:18:25] and the hootis have been hounded by western intelligence agencies [00:18:29] and tech companies for years, they know how the game is played, [00:18:32] also you cannot vibe code your way into winning a war, the US [00:18:36] military already tried against Iran and it did not work. Also, if they [00:18:40] just wanted to use AI, why wouldn't they use the Chinese open source [00:18:44] models, which are lot more secure than the US close source once, as [00:18:48] well [00:18:49] as lot less expensive. And this is just part of Anthropic's doomer propaganda, [00:18:53] which has been working really well, I'm afraid, and now one their ex [00:18:57] researchers has been going around western media saying that AI [00:19:00] could destroy all humanity in the next decade. [00:19:04] Developing missiles isn't the only military concern, AI company. say they're [00:19:08] confronting. Antropics says it has also identified [00:19:11] attempts to use its AI systems for activity that could support the [00:19:15] development of biological weapons. The findings after a [00:19:19] growing debate over whether artificial intelligence is advancing [00:19:23] faster than the safeguards designed to contain it. In May [00:19:27] 2026, our biological safety classifier blocked request for Cloud's [00:19:31] assistance in authoring a grant application for scientific [00:19:34] funding. The work discussed in the application involved. called gain of [00:19:38] function research, basically attempting to give [00:19:41] viruses even more capabilities and discovering cure [00:19:45] for that virus. using AI for biology is [00:19:49] dual use. it can obviously be incredibly helpful when you [00:19:53] have amazing scientists using AI to discover new [00:19:57] treatments for illness to try to solve and eradicate [00:20:00] cancer, but with that same technology it [00:20:04] can also create biological weapons and and [00:20:08] luckily, anthropic is really good at stopping it so far. Top AI [00:20:11] leaders are warning that building powerful artificial intelligence too [00:20:15] quickly could be dangerous for humanity. Anthropic CEO [00:20:19] Dary Amady, open AI Sam Altman and Elon Musk [00:20:23] all agree that companies should slow down and be more careful. [00:20:27] Concerns grew after antropic researcher quit saying AI [00:20:30] companies are taking huge risks with people's lives. Some experts [00:20:34] even think AI could become deadly by the end the decade. [00:20:45] now the world food program has extended its partnership with the [00:20:49] data and company for another 5 years. The [00:20:53] deal is raising concerns within the UN agency over [00:20:56] privacy, risk management and palinteers track [00:20:59] record. The WFP manages one the [00:21:03] world's largest humanitarian biometric databases [00:21:07] containing information on millions of aid [00:21:09] recipients. Some WFP personnel have reportedly [00:21:13] raised concerns about whether the agency's data could be used to [00:21:17] improve Palenteers wider system. Palenteer staff [00:21:21] have also reportedly worked directly inside the [00:21:24] WFP, while some former UN personal have [00:21:28] gone to work for Palenteer, an internal WFP [00:21:32] inspection flagged inadequate risk management, lack [00:21:36] of proper guidelines and policy and reputational [00:21:39] risk surrounding its cooperation with palentier that have led [00:21:43] to institutional uncertainty. That's not to [00:21:47] mention major cyber attack on the WF be in May [00:21:50] 2026 that exposed personal data [00:21:54] belonging to around 600 thousand households and [00:21:57] palestines Gaza. It raised further questions about [00:22:01] Palenteer's data protection standards. Despite all [00:22:05] the concerns, the WFP extended its palenteer contract [00:22:09] for another five years in July, [00:22:11] and I am exceedingly proud that after October 7th within weeks we are on the [00:22:15] ground and we are involved in operationally crucial uh [00:22:19] operation. [00:22:21] in Israel, so here's the question: should the world's largest [00:22:24] humanitarian organization be partnering with a military and [00:22:28] surveillance contractor? alg has responded to claims that [00:22:32] its smart tvs are secretly recording users. the [00:22:35] electronics giant came under scrutinyy after youtube channel gamers [00:22:39] nexus claimed LG TVs constantly collect data and [00:22:43] send it back to the company. alg says voice data is only [00:22:47] processed when users give an explicit command. but Gamer's [00:22:51] Nexus claims the televisions can still record audio even [00:22:55] when they're switched off, including background noise from as far [00:22:59] as 12 away, so while the company has denied the claims, [00:23:03] privacy concerns are not going away, and with 216 [00:23:06] million smart tvs worldwide, that's a lot of concerned [00:23:09] users. lg has [00:23:13] responded to our investigation, and [00:23:16] we think they're lying. responding to gamers nexus via literally anyone. [00:23:20] for Gamer's Nexus, LG said, quote, the claims made in the recently published [00:23:24] video are not true, and quote, that, got [00:23:26] it. Does that include um, [00:23:30] this in the fact that we have the glass, we own the glass, we own the TV. I [00:23:34] guess it's also false that we pointed out that an LG ad solutions president, Serge Mara [00:23:38] previously settled case relating to a fraudulent scheme and was barred by the SEC [00:23:42] from running a public company for 10 years and now is part the leadership team in charge of your [00:23:46] data. I guess it was also false when we logged data being exfiltrated from our TV and go... to [00:23:50] LG ad servers and we produced actual literal logs and evidence of it, [00:23:54] including when the TV was being used as a dumb monitor and plugged into a laptop with [00:23:57] HDMI. American [00:24:01] singer Pink is still facing backlash over her comments on Rapper [00:24:05] Makamore's pro- palestine statement during a concert, but [00:24:09] this time people are mocking her response after she posted a [00:24:12] lengthy statement defending her position. Pink originally [00:24:16] accused Makelmore's message on Gaza of being anti-semitic. [00:24:20] and said jewish fans who attended the concert should get their money back. [00:25:20] complex war, how are people still saying [00:25:23] this? genocide is not complex, it's not a [00:25:27] war, it's a genocide, him criticizing the [00:25:30] IDF and the Israeli government for the genocide, [00:25:34] that's not about jewish people, that's about israeli [00:25:38] government and apartide and mass murdering all these people [00:25:42] in palestine, that's what it's about, what are you talking [00:25:46] about girl, what are you talking about, and then she goes back to the repost again, [00:25:50] trying to say that she never said that [00:25:53] anyone should have their tickets refunded, that's what the repost [00:25:57] was, you shared that, basically the statement was just just a bunch [00:26:01] of nothing, you could have. chosen any other post to repost, but you chose the [00:26:05] one that called the genocide in palestine fake. you reposted from a page that has [00:26:09] constantly attacked palestinis. oh by, [00:26:12] congrats, pink, you have an x-idf soldier by your side, you're not [00:26:16] alone, you have the x-idf with you, don't [00:26:19] worry. viral [00:26:23] cat in the hat social media hoax featuring menacing i [00:26:26] generated images the doctor sue's character is causing [00:26:30] chaos. what began as an on? prank in the US has [00:26:34] now spread around the world, authorities across the US have [00:26:37] stepped up police patrols around schools and several minors [00:26:41] have been arrested. the trend began on snapchat with images [00:26:45] and short videos showing the cat in the hat lurking outside [00:26:49] homes, schools and on streets at night. many the images [00:26:53] were AI generated, but the trend later took a darker turn with [00:26:57] people dressing up as the character and posting videos containing [00:27:01] threatening messages. or naming people they claim they plan to [00:27:04] target horror-like version the cat and [00:27:08] the hat is showing up in posts across social media and some students [00:27:12] are already facing criminal charges for participating in the trend. [00:27:16] schools and police have had to launch investigations and increase [00:27:19] security after AI generated or edited images made it look [00:27:23] like the cat in the hat was lurking outside homes, schools or [00:27:27] neighborhoods at night. the AI images themselves are fake, but some [00:27:31] posts named real schools, communities or students and include [00:27:34] messages like you're next or don't leave your window open. the can the hat [00:27:38] trend has become such a big problem that it is caused schools to shut [00:27:42] down. trust me, i'm not kidding, is all we likely notes with come a trend for people to dress up [00:27:46] and can theh costumes all across the entire world and just cause chaos in wherever [00:27:50] place they live, and it's now gotten to the point where people are uploading videos online in their [00:27:53] canal costumes and letting everyone know the next place they're going to to cause [00:27:57] chaos. when ai flaxs a conversation that is [00:28:01] potentially dangerous. that automatically is flagged and [00:28:05] sent to law enforcement and a copy of all the chat transcript is sent to law [00:28:09] enforcement along with location the user, where is he [00:28:13] connecting from, all that information is forward to law enforcement. number [00:28:16] two, when you're using social media and [00:28:20] the algorithm on the social media network flags this [00:28:24] as a potential threat, also that is the same case. [00:28:28] it's one thing to share an AI generated image online, it's something... [00:28:32] sells entirely to buy the cat and the hat costume worn by Mike [00:28:36] Myyers in the 2003 film adaptation and use it to [00:28:40] scare people. influencer with more than a half million [00:28:43] followers across several social media platforms has now [00:28:46] apologized for doing exactly that. i'm here to [00:28:50] apologize for the video of me chasing people around in the cat and the hat [00:28:54] costume. after doing some reflecting on the video i posted i realized what i did [00:28:58] was wrong and that i caused panic to many people. at the time i thought it'd be funny to [00:29:02] chase. people dress as the cat and the hat, not realizing people would actually be [00:29:05] fearing [00:29:06] for their own safety, like i was just doing it for my own entertainment, didn't know [00:29:10] people were actually going to be fearing for their lives. i know there's no [00:29:13] excuses for my actions, but i'm not going to lie, my mental health has not [00:29:17] been the best and i believe that i've been haunted into doing these horrible [00:29:21] things. i know the police are investigating the situation, but i just want to say [00:29:25] i'm truly so sorry and hope everyone can forgive me. and that's our [00:29:29] show, find our latest stuff on youtube and do subscribe to our channel.
