[00:01:11] of [00:01:18] in [00:01:22] of Saudi of Arabia is shutting down schools in the capital as it [00:01:25] decides how to respond to a missile attack its main [00:01:29] airport. 12 people were killed and more than 300 injured [00:01:34] of in a strike that threatens to further inflame [00:01:35] a region already on edge over the US war on [00:01:39] Iran. domestic terminals at King Khalid international [00:01:42] airport were hit with Saudi Arabia laying the blame on [00:01:46] the ansarala Hutis from neighboring Yemen. They've been launching [00:01:50] of attacks on Riyad and Saudi oil facilities in recent [00:01:54] weeks, but haven't claimed [00:01:56] of responsibility for this strike. Pakistan's Prime Minister. Abbas [00:02:00] Shariff would join Turkey in signing the Mecca defense pact in [00:02:04] August is calling it heinous attack and [00:02:07] reiterating his commitment to Saudi's security. [00:02:11] Donald Trump is weighing up a US [00:02:13] of response. I think it's [00:02:16] terrible. Well you're going to find out see, [00:02:20] but I think it's [00:02:21] of terrible. [00:02:25] Well, they're able to defend. Look, the Saudis are good fighters, but I think... [00:02:30] the attack was terrible thing. Meanwhile, in Yemen, [00:02:34] fighting between Saudi back government forces and the [00:02:37] a Houtis continues. Yemen's army [00:02:41] of of says it struck more than 1900 huti targets. Muhammad Al-Attab reports from the [00:02:44] Capital Sana. The conflict in Yemen is [00:02:48] widening with both sides expanding their bank of targets and [00:02:52] civilians paying the price. The Yemany Armed forces announced over [00:02:55] 1,900 strikes across various fronts in 24 [00:02:59] hours under. operation Yeman's done, spokesperson colonel [00:03:02] Majid Anuzeli said the strikes hit weapons depart a [00:03:06] camps command [00:03:07] of center, reinforcements and supply vehicles, neutralizing more than [00:03:12] of 1,150 huti fighters and destroying or [00:03:15] damaging over 180 vehicles, he also [00:03:18] of mentioned that ground forces advance further and retaking [00:03:22] positions. hothy media reported coalition strikes on [00:03:26] Sanha, airports and telecommunication towers in Saada plus strikes. [00:03:32] said their forces target reinforcements from Aden along the [00:03:36] southern coastal road inflicting heavy losses on IRG's [00:03:40] forces. According to the group. Later on on [00:03:44] the also distributed [00:03:46] of footage of Draw strikes on what they described as Saudi gatherings [00:03:49] of in Kahbob and Alwaziya. The internationally recognized [00:03:53] government confirmed losses inflected on hoti fighters in [00:03:57] almaset and said it took control. [00:04:03] the southern giant brigades said the repelled hothi [00:04:07] of attack north of dubab airport with arab coalition air [00:04:10] support, the houthies did not confirm or deny the news [00:04:14] as clashes intensify toward mandab hotspot [00:04:18] navigation or ignite [00:04:19] of a of wider war. after 12 years of relentless [00:04:23] conflict, [00:04:24] of yemanis continue to bear its brands [00:04:28] and comeron Yus with more on Pakistan's [00:04:31] reaction. Pakistani prime minister Shahbas [00:04:35] Sharief took no time in condemning this latest strike and [00:04:39] in fact prime minister blamed the hoothi [00:04:41] of militia for this latest attack, not only Pakistani prime [00:04:45] minister issued a statement, the foreign office [00:04:48] also [00:04:49] of issued detailed statement where they not only denounced [00:04:53] this attack, but rather termed it as a terrorist attack and [00:04:57] urged international community that they should... [00:05:00] unequivocally condemn this heinous [00:05:03] act, at the same time, the Pakistani side is saying that they [00:05:07] stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia [00:05:11] and they will... support every measure the Saudi [00:05:14] government is taking to protect it territorial [00:05:18] integrity and sovereignty also Pakistan reaterated [00:05:22] its support for Saudi Arabia under the Makka defense [00:05:26] pact that was signed in August between Pakistan, [00:05:29] Saudi Arabia and Turkey, remember last week [00:05:33] Pakistan also officially confirmed that they have [00:05:37] deployed additional troops to Saudi Arabia as part the Makka [00:05:41] defense alliance. However, Pakistani side also made [00:05:45] it clear that the Pakistani forces under the Makka Defense [00:05:49] Accord will not cross into Yaman and launch attacks [00:05:53] against the Hutis. Nevertheless they made it clear [00:05:57] that as far as the Saudi territorial integrity and sovereignty [00:06:01] is concerned, Pakistan will go all out and [00:06:04] provide all possible support to the Saudi [00:06:08] kingdom. William Lawrence is a former [00:06:11] US. diplomat and says it's looking more likely the US will get [00:06:15] involved in this conflict, there's offensive [00:06:19] aspects and defensive aspects on the offensive side, the [00:06:22] hooties have started to figure out [00:06:26] building on successes that the Iranians have had and the Russians [00:06:30] have had using similar technology, they figured out how to [00:06:34] evade the defenses and on the Saudi [00:06:36] side um there is issue [00:06:39] of very expensive weaponry that's to defend [00:06:43] and depletion of this the [00:06:47] weaponry that's available and so they may not be deploying the [00:06:51] maximum number of very expensive weaponry to to [00:06:55] defend themselves. i know that the US is rushing to [00:06:59] get more weapons um to Saudi Arabia and that be may be one [00:07:03] the reasons why Trump is actively assessing whether the US [00:07:06] will join the frey right now because as you say if Saudi can't [00:07:10] sufficiently defend itself then the US need to go on [00:07:13] offensive uh in Yemen [00:07:16] in Northern Yemen in order to help defend Saudi Arabia and the more success the [00:07:19] Hutis have the greater uh the likelihood that Trump will get [00:07:23] involved. In Trump's mind he he one the reasons he [00:07:26] was uh happy to take the promise from [00:07:28] the Houthies that they wouldn't attack American shipping as a way to not connect the [00:07:32] conflicts further. These attacks on Saudi Arabia are now [00:07:36] reconnecting uh the conflict in a way that makes it uh somewhat [00:07:40] inevitable that the US will get more [00:07:42] involved. [00:07:55] Donald Trump says it's time for Ukraine to get new [00:07:58] president. It follows criticism from his Ukrainian [00:08:01] counterpart a US diesel deal with Russia. [00:08:05] Voladimir Zelensky has called the move weak and warned it will only [00:08:09] help Russia's war. The deal is expected to leave. to the immediate [00:08:13] release of more than 3000 tons of Russian diesel with more to [00:08:17] come in the months ahead. Trump is trying to drive down record [00:08:21] diesel prices in the US ahead of next month's mid-term [00:08:24] elections. Well, I think he should have an [00:08:28] election, and he could have settled this thing many times. Well, [00:08:32] I think that Russia would like to make deal [00:08:36] and we've had it back and forth, but Russia would like to make [00:08:39] deal, but uh, as I said, "this is something that could have [00:08:43] been solved many times, but for whatever [00:08:47] reason Zelinski does not want to make deal. [00:08:51] Leoni lakani has more from the US [00:08:53] capital. Well, [00:08:55] what we're seeing Trump do is essentially trying shift the [00:08:59] blame from himself and from the White House in the [00:09:02] administration for the higher diesel and oil prices that we're seeing [00:09:06] around the world, especially here in the United States, and we've been hearing [00:09:10] him say these kinds of things recently and..." campaign rallies, he's [00:09:13] trying to blame Ukraine and Zelensky for these higher prices that [00:09:17] we're seeing, uh, and when you talk to oil analysts, they say, yes, of [00:09:21] course uh, the Ukraine Russia war does impact [00:09:24] prices, but the bigger issue is the fact that supplies have [00:09:28] been essentially brought almost a stancel from the street of Herm, which [00:09:32] would point fingers once again at the administration in the Iran [00:09:36] war, and so what we hear Trump do repeatedly, especially in recent [00:09:40] weeks, is try and blame Ukraine and for it [00:09:44] uh and the types of actions we've seen him do in the past few weeks shows that [00:09:47] he's actually quite concerned about these prices, diesel [00:09:51] prices uh in the US are up nearly [00:09:54] 75% since the war began uh and this [00:09:57] really impacts the heartlands of America, the farming, [00:10:01] agricultural parts the country that are very important part of [00:10:04] Trump's base uh and in recent weeks we've seen him [00:10:07] taking quite a few drastic actions, so last month [00:10:11] U.S. Congress... passed [00:10:13] a bill that essentially widened the sanctions on [00:10:16] Russia, not just that, Trump came out and criticized [00:10:20] Europeans who were still buying oil from Russia, and [00:10:24] then he makes his about. turn making making this diesel uh [00:10:27] deal with Russia in the past day. um, addition [00:10:31] to that, he has threatened the Europeans, he threatened [00:10:35] to ban American exports of diesel to [00:10:39] the Europe, and Europeans responded by releasing some their [00:10:43] stock piles, trying to add supply to the market, which is what Trump [00:10:46] wanted. um, he's even waved a fuel tax a different [00:10:50] type of diesel in the country to try and add supplies. the problem with all [00:10:54] of this... at the moment is nothing is really shifting the [00:10:57] prices uh and so all these kinds of measures and all these kinds [00:11:01] of comments we're hearing from Trump just shows that he's a [00:11:05] little bit uh desperate and also just very [00:11:08] concerned about what's happening with the prices and he knows that voters are paying [00:11:12] attention. David de Rosh is associate professor [00:11:16] at the near East South Asia center the National Defense [00:11:19] University. He says Trump could have lowered US fuel prices [00:11:23] without Russia's help. [00:11:27] Zolensky, he holds Zolensky responsible for his in part [00:11:31] for his first impeachment, he doesn't think that Zelinsky set up the impeachment, [00:11:35] but that Zelensky could have made a public statement and would have derailed the [00:11:39] impeachment, and I mean you saw that amazing spectacle [00:11:42] of uh Trump invance ganging up on Zelinski in his first visit to the [00:11:46] White House, which was really kind of disgraceful um [00:11:50] so you know he there's no love loss there, but I [00:11:53] do think... that again, if Trump wanted to just [00:11:57] influence the price of diesel in the United States, he'd just say, okay, we're not going to export [00:12:01] diesel, and uh, that would have a more immediate effect and [00:12:05] would be uh, yeah, more um conducive for [00:12:09] us prices, but uh, I think what's possible [00:12:13] here is just all these foreign leaders are talking about the impending, [00:12:16] you've you've got shortages of diesel, you've got shortages of [00:12:19] fertilizer, and you've got Elninho, uh, we might [00:12:23] see - uh, global spike in food [00:12:26] prices uh similar to what we saw in 2009 that really [00:12:30] affected [00:12:31] the the global south and most of this export of diesel is [00:12:35] is going to go to those countries so you know it's it's quite possible that it's [00:12:39] just an interest you know different priorities and he's prioritized one thing [00:12:43] over the other or it's possible that uh uh one the things his [00:12:46] detractors say is that he's always agrees with the last person he spoke [00:12:50] to and you know maybe this is just a weird idea that he's [00:12:54] decided to Israeli strikes have [00:12:58] hit Gaza with Dead Alballa and Gaza City among the areas [00:13:01] targeted, at least five Palestinians were killed and eight [00:13:05] wounded when an Israeli strike hit a gathering of civilians in [00:13:08] Gaza City on Saturday, while Israeli attacks killed two others [00:13:12] in separate incidents. Earlier, at least six people were injured by [00:13:16] Israeli gunis according to medical sources [00:13:20] there. More than 1400 Palestinians have been killed since the [00:13:24] October season. fire last year. Let's get an update now from [00:13:28] Ashf Shanan joining us from Gaza City. So Ashif, just bring us [00:13:32] up to speed with the latest attacks that have taken place over the last 24 [00:13:35] hours. [00:13:40] Well, late last night, Yashni Israeli fighter [00:13:44] jets targeted at least 10 places. Million Gaza [00:13:48] City as well as areas in central gaza like the town of [00:13:52] Zawaida and the town of balah. some areas were [00:13:56] issued evacuation orders, other areas [00:13:58] didn't, so over the last 24 [00:14:02] hours at least seven people have have been [00:14:04] killed, more than dozen others were also [00:14:08] injured, and of course we're in [00:14:12] the already in the fourth year the war, [00:14:15] because when you when you talk to here to people here Yash, they [00:14:19] say that what didn't end despite the fact that [00:14:23] technically it ended? back on October [00:14:26] 2025, but the Israeli attacks [00:14:30] continues continue, the Israeli violations [00:14:34] continue, well even today at [00:14:37] least six people were injured in by Israeli [00:14:40] guunis in southern Gaza, [00:14:43] also the town of Musad in central Gaza, [00:14:47] just a bit north of of deril [00:14:50] balah sustained at least [00:14:54] three uh [00:14:57] shells a part of that ceasefire agreement was for Israel to [00:15:00] allow in hundreds of trucks for much needed [00:15:03] aid. we know that earlier this week ahead the [00:15:07] October 7th anniversary, the crossings into Gaza were all [00:15:11] closed by Israel. have th those now been opened [00:15:15] to allow in some of those trucks with [00:15:17] aid? [00:15:22] well, I wouldn't call it open, Yashni, because... Even before the [00:15:25] war, the Israel's was [00:15:29] closed the crossing for more than 100 days every [00:15:33] year, and after the seasfire. [00:15:37] the the crossings mainly the Israeli [00:15:41] karim shalom crossing and kisofiem and [00:15:44] sometimes the keem crossing in northern gaza we're working partially mean [00:15:48] it's like you know facet is dripping it's technically open [00:15:52] but that doesn't mean it's you know allowing enough water [00:15:56] uh you know to drip or or to to fall in the cup [00:16:00] but as part the seasfire agreement you talked about [00:16:03] it israel [00:16:04] was supposed to all 600 trucks of eight daily. they for [00:16:08] the first two months the seas fire they were allowing some 200 trucks not [00:16:12] eight trucks and nowadays they [00:16:16] the max is 300 trucks but nearly [00:16:19] 80% of those trucks yashini are [00:16:23] soda soft drinks [00:16:26] chocolate things that not vital for for [00:16:30] for people survive or or [00:16:34] or to to help them you know [00:16:37] grow, especially for children to grow a a good [00:16:41] way. [00:16:46] Amil harazin is a word man with what could be very [00:16:50] harsh winter around the corner. He's deeply [00:16:53] concerned for his family who live a [00:16:56] tent. I'm trying to secure my tent. I have [00:17:00] newborn baby who is less than a week old and three young [00:17:03] children. Last year we suffered badly when a storm hit so I need to [00:17:06] be. compared this time, this year the conditions [00:17:10] could be much worse for the people in Gaza already suffering due to [00:17:14] Israel's devastating war on the strip, for families [00:17:18] living in fragile shelters, even basic preparations may not [00:17:22] be enough, war damaged homes and obliterated [00:17:25] infrastructure leave many displacement sites [00:17:29] vulnerable to flooding as well as [00:17:31] collapse, we heard that very [00:17:35] powerful storm may be coming our way, could destroy homes, let [00:17:38] alone tents. We put our trust in God. My tent is [00:17:42] so fragile that even a light storm could destroy it. [00:17:46] Imagine what this storm could do. The storm he is [00:17:50] referring to is the elninu weather phenomena. [00:17:54] Scientists are warning about its catastrophic effects which could [00:17:57] settle firmly by December. And in Gaza, its [00:18:01] repercussions could make life even worse. According to the [00:18:05] International Organization for mig. IOM, [00:18:09] around 1.8 million people are living in displacement [00:18:12] sites across the wartorn territory, more than [00:18:15] 80% the tents and makeshift [00:18:18] shelters are in poor condition, while only [00:18:22] 17% of winter shelter needs have been [00:18:24] met. We're dreading the winter as well [00:18:28] as the storm, the rain could flood our tents, leaking in from [00:18:32] above and sweeping in from below. We have almost [00:18:36] nothing to protect us. with we lie awake at night, worried [00:18:40] about the rain and the strong winds. there is no end to the [00:18:44] suffering. with little protection from the rain, [00:18:47] families fear the destruction the shelters and the exposure to [00:18:51] the cold. as palestinians prepare to face another harsh [00:18:55] winter, they brace themselves for the worst and mid Israel's refusal to [00:18:59] allow adequate shelter material. ashraf Shanan, [00:19:03] TRT World, Gaza. [00:19:10] to India now where a court has ordered the release of cockroach janter [00:19:14] party leaders after protests erupted in the capital. They were [00:19:18] arrested on Saturday along with thousands of others who took to the streets [00:19:22] calling for the resignation the country's election chief. They're [00:19:25] accusing him of sideespping rules and regulations and making [00:19:29] several changes to the voter registration process. [00:19:33] Security has been beefed up in New Delhi as protesters refused to [00:19:37] give up. the UN has expressed concern and urged [00:19:40] officials to respect the rights of protesters. the interrum [00:19:44] leader the cockroach movement says the demonstrations will continue [00:19:48] until the election leader [00:19:50] resigns. we want to tell [00:19:54] this government that we are not scared of your dictorial actions. the [00:19:58] way this government responded today, it shows that [00:20:00] it is scared the public and it is like we have one half [00:20:04] of our battle. the government would be feeling that the... protest would end [00:20:08] today if they detained us, but this is new beginning of our [00:20:12] protest, the protest will continue until Gyanesh [00:20:16] Kumar resigns and no matter how [00:20:19] many people they detained today, we will come back tomorrow and [00:20:23] march towards the jantar mantar and our protest will continue [00:20:27] till Gayanesh Kumar [00:20:28] resigns. Smitha Sharma is [00:20:32] following the latest developments from New Delhi, tensions [00:20:36] continue to prevail. high here in the Indian capital, [00:20:40] day after we saw massive detentions, thousands of [00:20:44] people rounded up by multiple layers of security [00:20:47] forces as they were trying to march. to the designated protest [00:20:51] site of Chantar Mantar, seeking the resignation the [00:20:55] chief election commissioner who is surrounded by several controversies, [00:20:58] including serious allegations of electoral fraud favoring [00:21:02] the incumbent BJP, the government led by Prime Minister [00:21:06] Narendra Modi, meanwhile the Cook Route Janata party which was [00:21:10] born out of satire just a couple of months ago and has become one [00:21:14] of India's prime youth political outfit, [00:21:18] its top leaders Abhijit. Dipke, Ashutosh, Ranka, Saurav, [00:21:22] Das were yesterday detained from inside an [00:21:25] aircraft an unprecedented move as soon as they landed in [00:21:29] New Delhi, however, a short while ago, local [00:21:33] court has now allowed them to be released, [00:21:37] they were under preventive arrest, they have had to submit bond and give [00:21:41] some assurances, but the movement however is a far from [00:21:45] dying down, [00:21:45] in fact the corcro janata party, several other left leaning student [00:21:49] unions, outfits, they have all said that the protests will [00:21:53] continue even today, there is high security across [00:21:56] the national capital region, yesterday we saw protests break out in [00:22:00] different parts the city and students, young [00:22:04] people, they were not allowed to not just reach Jantar mantar but from [00:22:08] various places, you know wherever just two them, three them [00:22:12] were seen, either they were laty charged or they were just ruffed up, so [00:22:16] delhi continues to remain and feel and look [00:22:20] like a fortress, the opposition law makers also are bracing up for [00:22:24] major protests tomorrow, it's going to be a tense day [00:22:28] ahead. your stories we're following for [00:22:32] you. eritreya has asked [00:22:33] the UN security council to intervene in what it describes as Ethiopia's [00:22:37] declaration of war. Ethiopia says Eritreian forces [00:22:41] have advanced up to 60 kilometers into Tigry, adding it [00:22:45] sees other option than to defend itself. The region has been the [00:22:49] scene of fighting. between the rebel Tigri people's liberation front and [00:22:53] government forces in recent weeks. Hurricane [00:22:57] Simon has strengthened into a powerful category for storm as it [00:23:00] heads towards Mexico's Pacific coast. A hurricane warning is [00:23:04] an effect with some parts of southwestern Mexico expecting up to [00:23:08] 50 centimeters of rain.
