[00:00:00] For all the test prices on the market, the market price might
[00:00:03] be thirty or forty thousand, but a computer with the same performance might
[00:00:07] be twice the price . Of course, you would still buy a game console. Even
[00:00:10] if the price goes up, you would still buy it
[00:00:11] .
[00:00:15] Because in the long run, this market has such usage demand. Industry
[00:00:19] insiders believe that from the perspective of consumer demand , game consoles are similar
[00:00:22] to mobile phones. If there is a clear demand, even if the price increases
[00:00:26] , consumers may still choose to buy, especially consoles.
[00:00:40] GTA 6 will be released on October 19th on PS5 and Xbox
[00:00:43] Series X and S platforms. The game market in Taiwan has a more serious shortage of PS5 consoles, and because the graphics quality has been significantly improved this time, many people are saying that you might need to buy
[00:01:00] a PS5
[00:01:00] Pro to have a better experience. This has also led to current prices being above the official retail price, which makes them relatively higher.
[00:01:09] Adults say that the phenomenon of PS5 series being overpriced is not unique to Taiwan, and the international market has already reacted. As the buzz around major games continues, coupled with the expected demand for consoles, it will stimulate game sales, which is the first test under the price increase.
[00:01:28] Reporter Huang, Taipei
[00:01:31] Today's Discovery Science special will take you to see the upper reaches of Matai Creek in Hualien
[00:01:34] . Last year, due to typhoons and earthquakes, it triggered
[00:01:38] large-scale landslides, and this also caused serious casualties
[00:01:42] and disasters. But at the same time, it also formed large-scale
[00:01:46] landslide areas that became barren and lifeless. The team of Associate Professor
[00:01:49] Zhong Zhixing from Ilan University relied on their research
[00:01:53] of Shih's seed sowing technology for many years, and
[00:01:57] also used drones to carry a large number of them.
[00:04:00] Pour the entire cup of sodium alginate and mix it, then use a needle
[00:04:03] to drop it into the green calcium solution to form. Seeds may need sunlight
[00:04:07] , air, water. Air and sunlight may all need to come from
[00:04:11] nature, so we just provide seeds with good moisture. So through
[00:04:15] this gel, because polysaccharides have good water retention effects
[00:04:18] , allowing these seeds to have enough moisture to
[00:04:22] germinate. To create for the seeds a crucial source of moisture needed
[00:04:26] for growth hormone synthesis, etc., in the early stages of germination.
[00:06:24] They hope that one day these small seeds will grow into strong plants, helping Taiwan's landslide areas and forests to
[00:06:28] regain their lush green vitality and
[00:06:31] life.
[00:06:33] In the age of information explosion and AI , we need to be not only fast, but also accurate
[00:06:37] . 30-second short audio to repeatedly see the world
[00:06:40] . News doesn't just happen on site.
[00:09:15] The latest news from companies is about Grab's plan to acquire
[00:09:18] a Taiwanese food delivery operator, which has caused controversy.
[00:09:22] The National Food Delivery Industry Union gathered this morning to protest
[00:09:26] . The COO and Managing Director of Grab Group, Mr. Wei Teng
[00:09:30] , also responded to recent external concerns about market competition, shareholding
[00:09:34] structure, etc. In his statement, he raised
[00:09:37] six points of clarification , emphasizing that it is a
[00:09:41] . A publicly listed company independently operated in Singapore
[00:09:45] and Uber operate independently of each other. At the same time, he also clarified
[00:09:49] that the map cooperation with Huawei does not include the
[00:09:52] Taiwanese market. This is the latest news. In other breaking
[00:09:56] news, we see that early this morning, in Hualien
[00:10:00] , a citizen found a female rider lying by the roadside, smelling strongly of alcohol
[00:10:04] . But she still insisted on riding her motorcycle
[00:10:08] . People stepped forward to persuade her and offered to help her call a taxi, but this woman
[00:10:11] refused to listen and still insisted on drunk driving, which
[00:10:15] angered the citizens into calling the police. When the police arrived, her
[00:10:19] breathalyzer test result was as high as 0.95, so she was directly
[00:10:22] handcuffed and arrested. It's just that until
[00:12:25] then, she was run over by a garbage truck and died
[00:12:28] on the spot. Because the intersection where the incident occurred
[00:12:31] was only 100 meters from her home , her family also went to call her soul
[00:12:35] , and their expressions were naturally very sorrowful . Also, in Houli, Taichung, a
[00:12:39] male student was riding a bicycle and turning left at an intersection
[00:12:43] , and collided with a car that was overtaking from behind in the wrong lane
[00:12:46] . The garbage truck started at a green light and turned right at the intersection
[00:12:49] . With a bang, the female rider
[00:12:52] was knocked down and fell under the wheels of the truck
[00:12:55] . She was run over by the garbage truck on the spot and lay motionless. On
[00:13:16] the 12th, at around 9 am, the cleaning team's garbage truck went to institutions and schools to collect garbage
[00:13:20] . 73-year-old Ms. Wang, a female rider , was riding her scooter out and preparing to return home
[00:13:24] , because of the inner wheel difference.
[00:22:27] The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched a Section 337 investigation
[00:22:31] , due to accusations by U.S. power supply manufacturers that several companies
[00:22:35] are suspected of infringing on patent rights. Taiwanese manufacturers like Hon Hai, Quanta
[00:22:38] , and Delta Electronics have also been embroiled in this. In response
[00:22:42] , these three major manufacturers have successively issued statements, emphasizing that they will
[00:22:46] actively respond to legal procedures . Currently, related products
[00:22:56] and operations have not been affected. However, the outside world is also concerned about whether this cross-border patent war will further impact Taiwanese manufacturers' shipments to the U.S. and their AI supply chain layout . Riding the global AI
[00:23:00] craze, Taiwan is shipping AI servers one by one to the United
[00:23:04] States, but has become involved in an infringement dispute . The U.S. International Trade Commission launched
[00:23:08] a Section 337 investigation under the Tariff Act , the reason being that U.S. power
[00:23:12] technology company Vicor filed a patent infringement complaint, alleging that certain
[00:23:15] vertical power delivery systems are suspected of infringing .
[00:24:09] However, current products and operations are unaffected. Delta Electronics responded that it will actively respond
[00:24:13] according to law, and currently related products are also unaffected. As Taiwanese tech companies
[00:24:17] deeply enter the US AI supply chain, experts warn that patent layout
[00:24:21] and legal risks must be handled with greater caution. When doing business
[00:24:25] with the US, it is still important to pay attention to
[00:24:28] related patent layouts and
[00:24:32] related regulations . This requires
[00:24:36] considerable prudence and caution, because actually, I think companies dealing with the US
[00:24:39] have very rich experience .
[00:24:42] In
[00:24:44] response, the Ministry of Economic Affairs emphasized that the government respects the US's relevant procedures and
[00:24:48] will continue to maintain contact with businesses.
[00:27:13] The second round of the Brazilian presidential election is about to begin. The current Brazilian
[00:27:17] President Lula held a rally yesterday, with reportedly
[00:27:21] millions of people taking to the streets to
[00:30:23] , six major media outlets in Taipei issued another statement, inviting
[00:30:27] Chiang Wan-an and Shen Bo-yang to participate in a joint media TV
[00:30:31] debate. Today, both sides expressed their willingness to participate
[00:30:35] . Similarly , it's exercise, but the anti-aging effects
[00:30:39] are surprisingly very different, aren't they? Scientists compared weight training, aerobic
[00:30:42] , high-intensity interval training and aerobic plus weight training
[00:30:46] . The results showed that high-intensity interval training is more anti-aging
[00:30:50] than other exercises. Which specific exercises are those
[00:30:53] ? We will have a full report shortly . A bank employee was caught
[00:30:57] using the system to check customer data.
