[00:06:05] endorse any alliance or political
[00:06:08] arrangement capable of undermining the reelection of Mr. the
[00:06:12] president, weakening the APC or
[00:06:16] adversely affecting any candidate the party at
[00:06:20] all level, in other words, the forum have no intention
[00:06:23] to support any candidate any level that is not
[00:06:27] an APC candidate, because the elections and our
[00:06:31] candidates are standing election as being sponsored
[00:06:35] by our party, so all of us can work together, yes, some weekak
[00:06:39] response is equally direct is political, Agreement he says
[00:06:43] is with President Chinubu, not necessarily with the
[00:06:46] APC. Wike insists he never promise that the
[00:06:50] PDP would surrender governorship, Senate, House of

[00:07:30] and other opposition figures could deliver their votes in
[00:07:34] areas where the APC formal structure may be weak,
[00:07:38] expand in the president electoral reach beyond the ruling party's

[00:08:31] say different thing, in the night we are talking of different thing, that is
[00:08:35] not it, this is therefore less of a formal
[00:08:38] APCPDP alliance and more
[00:08:40] of a coalition of political interest. built around one presidential
[00:08:44] candidate. President Tinubu benefits from widening his support
[00:08:48] base beyond the APC. Wick benefits from
[00:08:52] retaining an independent political structure strong enough to
[00:08:55] negotiate with the ruling party. APC governors
[00:08:59] meanwile benefit only if the president re-election also
[00:09:03] consolidates their control of states and strengthen the APC
[00:09:07] across every level of government. How that delicate balance
[00:09:11] is managed could deter. not only President Tinubu's prospect in
[00:09:15] 2027, but also whether the APC emerges from
[00:09:19] the elections stronger or deeply divided. both the
[00:09:23] APC governors and yesome Wike say they support the
[00:09:26] president, but the real question is much more consequential.
[00:09:30] If President Tinubu wins 2027, who controls
[00:09:34] the political architecture underneath him, the APC
[00:09:38] establishment or the brother coalition that helped elect

[00:12:11] rainbow coalition, minister the wiki
[00:12:15] has been speaking to concerning his support for
[00:12:19] president, and
[00:12:22] also what do you make of this one? for the fact that it's
[00:12:25] still in the PDP and you have candidate in the PDP at
[00:12:29] the moment. Okay, yeah, so that is how coalition works
[00:12:33] and that is why the rainbow is a coalition, uh,
[00:12:37] people come together uh, to
[00:12:41] promote and support a common
[00:12:44] interest. If you observe, some
[00:12:47] opposition parties, uh, already meeting
[00:12:51] and walking towards a possible.
[00:12:56] uh single opposition presidential candidate, yeah,
[00:13:00] so it doesn't mean that there are no presidential candidates in
[00:13:04] all the parties, but if they are able to agree a coalition to have
[00:13:08] one, then they all channel their support, so the PDP as a
[00:13:12] presidential candidate, but at this
[00:13:15] time the rainbow coalition, which also involves the
[00:13:19] PDP as you one the parties
[00:13:23] in the rainbow. have reached
[00:13:26] that decision to support President
[00:13:30] Tinibu for second time and so all of us in the
[00:13:34] rainbow are aligned you know to
[00:13:38] that decision and very willing to
[00:13:42] work towards it. in 2011 you
[00:13:45] recall the current president was national
[00:13:49] leader the ACN
[00:13:52] and despite that the ACN has the presidential
[00:13:55] candidate the time the person of new rivard
[00:13:59] if recall
[00:14:01] you know the the president at that time
[00:14:05] through some understanding like this gave a
[00:14:08] support and indeed that of ACN and all the you
[00:14:12] know structures that he control to the PDP
[00:14:16] and we won that election you know and the results were

[00:14:47] speaking to of especially in delivering river state and also
[00:14:51] the FCT for the president ahead of this election, how come
[00:14:55] confident are you uh based on what transpired in the
[00:14:58] FCT in 2023, do you see him uh
[00:15:02] delivering this mandate in this
[00:15:04] election? well the minister is
[00:15:08] uh
[00:15:09] the minister of fct is
[00:15:11] just you know being uh a
[00:15:14] bit humble, it's
[00:15:18] not about rivers
[00:15:20] and and f city, the minister through the rainbow coalition is
[00:15:24] actually going to deliver in all 36 states and the
[00:15:27] fct and like I said the rainbow is the
[00:15:31] biggest bco structure today and let's take the
[00:15:35] PDP alone for instance we which is national
[00:15:38] leader, the PDP has you know a
[00:15:41] strong base across
[00:15:44] the all the words and units that make
[00:15:48] up the 774 local governments in Nigeria and as at
[00:15:52] today the PDP affield candidates for all
[00:15:55] elections from governorship to national assembly to state
[00:15:58] assembly you know and presidency
[00:16:02] as well so now that the national leader and the
[00:16:06] minister is national the PDP so now that he has
[00:16:10] made that decision through the robo coalition so you can
[00:16:13] imagine the level of support that the the the
[00:16:17] PDP the rainbow using the PDP platform alone first
[00:16:21] will give to the president across the country
[00:16:25] now the Mr. President handlers need
[00:16:28] to to listen
[00:16:30] you know and uh some these analysis that we are
[00:16:34] making in 2015 I tell you for free
[00:16:37] what finished us as PDP was the
[00:16:41] reliance soly on you
[00:16:45] know a single structure to deliver a present candidate
[00:16:49] which is a governor you know so in fact the only alternate
[00:16:53] structure we had in 2015 was
[00:16:57] the GDI the grassroot development initiative funded
[00:17:01] by the FC minister and it was limited to river state and that was
[00:17:05] the only place one point something. million votes to
[00:17:08] the PDP at the time, so running
[00:17:12] a president election relying soly on the
[00:17:16] APC governors, it's not a good strategy, just moment, if
[00:17:20] you can just answer this in one minute, what will be your advice
[00:17:24] to politicians like you to campaign in
[00:17:27] this election with uh issues, not
[00:17:31] violence, what do you advise them? yes, of
[00:17:34] course, you win elections ' through strategies,
[00:17:38] if you strategize effectively and you do your mobilizations
[00:17:42] properly and you're able to cross
[00:17:44] you know it is and d the eyes you win uh violence has
[00:17:48] no place in our electoral process
[00:17:51] anymore uh there are no ballot boxes to to
[00:17:54] snatch - we have moved beyond those uh
[00:17:58] uh analog pattern of elections so you
[00:18:02] mobilize the people you campaign on the strength of what you have done if
[00:18:06] you incubent. and then if you are coming at fresh you campaign on
[00:18:10] the ideas and the manifesto that you're bringing on
[00:18:13] board uh what you do for the people, the essence
[00:18:17] is to better the lots the people at all stages of
[00:18:21] election and all levels of leadership,
[00:18:24] you know, so my advice really would be that look we
[00:18:27] stay issues, you know nigeria comes
[00:18:30] first, interest to move this country forward uh should
[00:18:34] be paramount and it comes above every other. personal or
[00:18:38] private considerations, you know, and that is the
[00:18:42] essence the rainbow coalition, going out to
[00:18:45] fish for credible
[00:18:48] candidates who have the interest the people a heart in
[00:18:52] respective of whatever political parties they come from, so if labor
[00:18:56] party have feeled a credible candidate somewhere and
[00:19:00] we mean they we feel that that candidate means well for the
[00:19:04] people the particular state or Nigeria or whatever.
[00:19:08] we go for that candidate and that is the whole
[00:19:10] essence when some people
[00:19:14] try to it's amazing me mean
[00:19:17] and we have had formal governors a formal governor
[00:19:21] came out to say that in 2015 his body was
[00:19:25] with jonathan but his spirit in actually was with it's a fine
