[00:00:25] a development, urgen parents parents to support their
[00:00:28] daughters to discover. their potential and pursue their
[00:00:32] dreams, my advice to parents is to invest in
[00:00:36] their children's education, let the girl child

[00:01:00] rights, the right to education, right to freedom, right to association
[00:01:04] and all the rights we have in our constitution. it's important that we let the
[00:01:08] girlchild know her rights and so that she can grow
[00:01:11] well. learned a lot today, learned that as a girlchild we
[00:01:15] should never be silent, we should flow with confidence, we should never be silent
[00:01:19] and we should not be ashamed of ourself because whatever we experience as a
[00:01:23] girlchild is just
[00:01:24] of a of sign that we are maturing and we are going into
[00:01:26] of adultuod. i've learned today that as a girl, that you should

[00:01:34] suffer in
[00:01:35] of pain, the bios state police command says

[00:02:31] wish to place on record that the synergy
[00:02:35] established by the
[00:02:37] of command and the positive response we have been receiving from
[00:02:41] the stakeholder has been the propelling force
[00:02:45] for our success in this operation. I
[00:02:48] want to specifically thank officers and men
[00:02:50] of the command who have risked their
[00:02:53] life to bring the
[00:02:57] relative calm of today. recovered exhibits

[00:03:11] to be cannabise, codene and nitrogen
[00:03:15] a oxide, you can imagine this being in the hand of a criminal,
[00:03:18] the
[00:03:19] threat is on the
[00:03:20] environment,
[00:03:26] this is a highly resited
[00:03:29] of weapon, for law enforcement officers
[00:03:31] and this what we find in the hand
[00:03:36] of of this draw here that make them
[00:03:40] eye
[00:03:43] of and eventually make life of orders meaningless
[00:03:47] to them, it's a collective appeal
[00:03:50] that this is a battle, we must all

[00:04:57] appealing to
[00:04:58] the public to stay cam. but vigilant and requested anyone who had
[00:05:02] concerns about possible exposure or was presenting symptoms to
[00:05:05] sick medical
[00:05:06] care.
[00:05:10] in Business news is next after this break,
[00:05:14] stay with
[00:05:15] us.
[00:05:26] Many thanks, nifemy, we corporate governance experts are erging future
[00:05:29] company directors to parotize long-term shareholder value,
[00:05:33] accountability and strong governance systems to build
[00:05:37] sustainable businesses, but they say companies must
[00:05:40] embrace technology, innovation. and ethical leadership to
[00:05:44] remain competitive ameds economic uncertainty. the call came
[00:05:48] at the third young directors conference at the chart institute of directors
[00:05:51] Nigeria, young directors forum in Lagas, where industry leaders
[00:05:55] examine the evolving demands on corporate
[00:05:58] boards. speakers highlighted the importance of transparent
[00:06:01] leadership, secured digital systems and sustainable business
[00:06:05] models. the expert also emphasized continuous learning, effective succession
[00:06:09] planning and accountability in preparing the... next generation
[00:06:13] of directors to lead resilient organizations, the
[00:06:17] young nigerians, young professionals, are not just the future of
[00:06:21] business, the just the ones that are going to be the drivers uh, going
[00:06:25] forward, so it's important for them to understand the whole essence
[00:06:28] of board operations, how the board works and the
[00:06:32] level of governance that is required for sustaining
[00:06:36] businesses uh in the long run, they need to focus on
[00:06:40] what they can change, that's the value they bring. you don't you go about or
[00:06:44] go to board and be talking about uh oh the government is this, the
[00:06:47] president is that, the governor is this, it's really about what you can change, i think
[00:06:51] that's very important, you need corporate governance skills, that is very
[00:06:55] important, you need leadership skills ir respective that every level everybody
[00:06:59] needs skills, you need to also you need to continue building your
[00:07:03] capacity like for instance we organized network and knowledge sharing
[00:07:06] sessions where we organize programs events, initiatives and we bring in
[00:07:10] experts who will come in. to come and help you, to
[00:07:14] train you, to develop your skills, the mentally we need to understand
[00:07:17] that see um, it's a vocal word right now, because covid
[00:07:21] change everything, so
[00:07:23] you know, because when you talk about the vocal word, it's about the volatility
[00:07:27] these dispensation, you know, the vse, volatility,
[00:07:31] uncertainty, the complexity, and then of course the ambiguity, so
[00:07:35] what has to change it, it's something very straightforward, for you to lead
[00:07:39] as for future board, you need to balance vision to be able. to
[00:07:42] deal with all the volatility and then of course
[00:07:45] understanding
[00:07:46] you know um for
[00:07:49] you know you need understanding
[00:07:51] you know you need also um
[00:07:53] clarity kara state
[00:07:56] governor Abdul Rahman Abdul Razzaq has called for stronger economic
[00:08:00] cooperation between Nigeria and Ghana urging both countries
[00:08:04] to move beyond political relations to expanded trade, industrial
[00:08:07] development and job creation.
[00:08:10] The governor made the call while receiving Ganean's.
[00:08:23] advocated easier cross border movements of goods and
[00:08:26] services, clear road map for common currency in the
[00:08:30] British West African subregion and improve regional
[00:08:33] connectivity through major infrastructure projects including the
[00:08:37] transwest African Highway and the Abijan Lagos Coastal
[00:08:40] road. President Mahama Al with this call for stronger bilateral
[00:08:44] trade, stressing the need to dipin economic cooperation beyond the
[00:08:48] political framework the economic community of west African states and
[00:08:52] improve trade under the African continental free trade
[00:08:55] area. developing
[00:08:59] Africa, especially with the African continent free trade agreement
[00:09:03] being in place and the headquarters in Ghana, we need to bring down our
[00:09:07] borders for movement of goods and
[00:09:10] services, create manufacturing and increase the GDP,
[00:09:14] create employment within West Africa, we look we're looking for to
[00:09:18] the single currency like a francophone Africa
[00:09:21] has safer, now we need to make sure we
[00:09:25] have a timeline for that to work, um, that would
[00:09:29] be major minstone for um the subregion
[00:09:33] as governor stated you know echoas for
[00:09:36] instance has been more of a political arrangement, but he
[00:09:40] said we can deepen it. by considering bilateral
[00:09:44] trade arrangement between our two countries and we also believe
[00:09:48] that since the inter-african free trade is based
[00:09:52] in Accra, we should also make sure that trade between
[00:09:56] our two countries um
[00:09:58] improves. all the news now, the
[00:10:02] president the petroleum products retail outlet owners association of
[00:10:05] Nigeria, Petroran, Mr. Billy Gilly Hary has described the federal
[00:10:09] government's 30-day petrol discount scheme. as a significant
[00:10:13] step towards easing the economic boring of Nigerians. Speaking
[00:10:17] earlier on our business Nigeria program, we are reacting to the announcement,
[00:10:20] Mr. Giliaris commended the initiative, saying it could lower.
[00:10:25] for public transport operators ease transportation fairs and
[00:10:28] increase disposable income for many households. the
[00:10:32] explanation it gave us very easy and simple to
[00:10:36] understand. now what it is is that to bring it down
[00:10:39] to a less understanding is assuming that
[00:10:43] NMPC was supposed to sell product at
[00:10:46] 1350 n per liter and there is
[00:10:50] sira profit in there. the idea
[00:10:54] is: NMPC will volunteer to leave
[00:10:58] the 66 n and allow it to be
[00:11:01] end, by Nigerians, that is
[00:11:05] significant, very significant,
[00:11:08] because when you look at it from one liter, from what I see
[00:11:12] some economist analysis and all of that, for us in
[00:11:16] this business, even five nar e liter means a lot to
[00:11:20] us, so if government is willing to
[00:11:23] encourage and pc to make that kind
[00:11:27] of sacrifice, that is welcome, and that's why it's completely
[00:11:31] different from what i mean subsidy is,
[00:11:35] because subsidy will definitely mean that okay, the cost of
[00:11:39] landing will
[00:11:39] be 1,350, government will say, okay, we are going to pay
[00:11:42] 700, so just give the remaining part to
[00:11:46] commuters to buy, so we appl it because we see the
[00:11:50] wisdom in there, patron has been in the forefront of action for
[00:11:54] paliat. gives seeking for solutions out
[00:11:57] of, of course, if you
[00:11:59] are very conversant
[00:12:00] with petron, our members are focused on service,
[00:12:04] values and consistency in the business, because
[00:12:08] the more efficient our business is, the more profit will
[00:12:11] make, well the stock market closed the start the
[00:12:15] trading week with lower indices following dropping prices on
[00:12:18] securities, the market index dip by
[00:12:20] 0.25% to underline losses on
[00:12:23] investment,
[00:12:24] soon or was the biggest value loser by nearly 10% on
[00:12:28] the back of huge sales pressure by investors. oters that traded in red were
[00:12:32] CMFC, o and do, living trust and ziches agro.
[00:12:36] stocks with gains included sterling bank, UPDC,
[00:12:39] Namet, Guinness, livestock
[00:12:41] feeds.
[00:12:46] without sports, that's business news at seven next
[00:12:50] sports news. thank
[00:12:51] you.

[00:13:20] efficient.
[00:13:25] It's comfortable, this development will go a long way in reducing
[00:13:29] congestion and emission, the trains are
[00:13:33] long-term solution to Lagos traffic challenges, this is where we

[00:22:24] has the rest the bulletin thank you promise for the updates in
[00:22:28] sport in the state governor has wartists who have
[00:22:32] refused to renounce the membership that this government will not show
[00:22:36] mercy and made this known as the mass renounciation
[00:22:40] ceremony in bin. Nigerians are reacting to that development
[00:22:43] has what some them are saying on x. Mary says wow may
[00:22:47] this repentance be permanent. they not turn back to their
[00:22:51] evil ways, congratulations to them, say no to cultism, reject
[00:22:55] cultism, shuntism, cultism is evil, for
[00:22:58] child of beatries, on this one has done well, too many caught
[00:23:02] killings in recent time, we applaud him, he does, it says the mask
[00:23:06] man, love him or hating, has done well in terms of tackling court related
[00:23:10] violence, hope the other violent courties will learn from this and change
[00:23:14] their ways, rejects cultism, reject violence,
[00:23:17] for mikey more other governor should do the same if they
[00:23:21] are not using sim culties for their benefit. this is very
[00:23:25] good start. please the federal government the house of senate uh
[00:23:28] the the senate should pass this law that any court is captured should be
[00:23:32] sentenced uh by killing instantly.
[00:23:36] peter will be godson says if popular names are not
[00:23:39] there no that this is another distraction it
[00:23:43] says. god bless working governor that's according
[00:23:47] to wise man light up says peace is. the way forward, it's
[00:23:51] for the greater good the state and it's a welcome development, it's a form of amnesty,
[00:23:55] but hope it will be sub substantiable
[00:23:59] or substantial over the years. nothing is impossible
[00:24:03] with commitment, only laws can make the change permanent, because if another
[00:24:06] government doesn't follow this path, what happens? that's
[00:24:10] my question, yar did amnesty but few years
[00:24:13] later in another government of field, change he says is
[00:24:17] constant, many people are happy with the... feelings in the name of
[00:24:21] different color, that's why they thought it's not possible, now you
[00:24:24] carry yourself, join, now you carry yourself, come on, okay,
