[00:34:42] elected by the Sejm, and now the situation... looked a little
[00:34:45] different, a little different, Dr. Mateusz Szpytma was elected
[00:34:49] by the Sejm, however, in the Senate
[00:34:52] it did not go according to his expectations, although perhaps
[00:34:56] expectations is not the right word to use, because we had
[00:34:59] the opportunity to ask the candidate himself for the position of president of the IPN whether
[00:35:03] he expected this and whether he knew why he was not elected, so
[00:35:06] let's give the floor to Dr. Mateusz Szpytma.

[00:35:17] the third one didn't work out, it's hard, what in your opinion
[00:35:20] influenced such a decision of the senators? I think

[00:35:27] with the current president as the president of the Institute of National Remembrance, as

[00:35:34] I was the deputy of Karol Nawrocki, does not work in my
[00:35:38] favor.
[00:35:42] And Dr. Mateusz Szpytma has vast experience. when it comes to the Institute of National
[00:35:46] Remembrance, because he has been employed there since 2000,
[00:35:49] however, he has served as vice-president for
[00:35:53] 10 years, meaning the last term of office, which
[00:35:56] was held by the current president of Poland, Dr. Karol Nawrocki, as well as his
[00:36:00] predecessor Dr. Jarosław Szarek, it is precisely these accusations
[00:36:04] of the ruling coalition that probably led to the candidacy of Mateusz
[00:36:07] Szpytma not being supported, because they say that this
[00:36:11] is precisely right-wing politicization.
