[00:02:36] 57 years, correct me if I'm wrong, is quite a [00:02:40] number for one [00:02:41] of the closest allies, the closest countries located [00:02:45] geographically to to Indonesia, bring us up to speed, Mr. [00:02:48] Ambassador, to some [00:02:49] of the most significant highlights of our relations and aspects [00:02:53] that we are truly proud of pertaining to the relations of [00:02:57] Indonesia and Singapore. if [00:03:01] we look back in [00:03:02] 1965, [00:03:07] ramar have to mention that we have very bad [00:03:10] relationship and at that [00:03:13] time we know [00:03:15] that raise the [00:03:19] untrust between the two countries, but like [00:03:23] the president mentioned [00:03:27] when he delivered a speech at this: [00:03:31] last years that president prabo is [00:03:35] mentioned that Indonesia is [00:03:38] implementing that we call we call a good [00:03:42] neighbor policy and Indonesia in singapore is trying [00:03:45] to revive and to [00:03:49] to to build the [00:03:53] good relationship between the two countries and now i [00:03:56] think the the the the [00:04:00] significant [00:04:03] relationship between the two country and improving very [00:04:07] well and [00:04:08] a now trust and confidence between the two countries [00:04:11] also arise, so for [00:04:15] examples in inaugurated of [00:04:20] of president ones [00:04:21] of the [00:04:22] of leaders to attend the [00:04:26] of of inauguration and next week the prime minister song also [00:04:28] of will be the first head of state have of [00:04:32] government who have a state [00:04:34] in visit to Indonesia and will be met with the president [00:04:38] prabo and also vice president and [00:04:41] to what we call [00:04:44] to foster our our [00:04:48] relationship that's why i can say [00:04:52] that the relationship between the two countries now [00:04:56] in very good shape and improving right ' [00:05:00] like to touch first on one [00:05:01] of the most fundamental aspects of our bilateral relations, which [00:05:05] is the economic and trades. Mr. Ambassador, allow me [00:05:09] to just sort of unveil [00:05:11] of the statistics for. the first quarter of 2024 alone, we are touching nearly [00:05:15] 9 billion US dollars worth of investments from Singapore [00:05:19] into Indonesia, second quarter, nearly 5 billion US dollars, [00:05:23] which is a 22. something percent rise [00:05:26] year [00:05:27] on year on that alone, signifying a very [00:05:31] strong economic foundations between the two countries and notably [00:05:34] being the biggest investors into Indonesia, so what more can you tell [00:05:38] us in details about these numbers, mr ambassador? [00:05:43] Yes, Rahmat, I think Singapore [00:05:46] is aware that Indonesia is a [00:05:50] big country and very potential, so that's why in the [00:05:53] last 10 years Singapore become the biggest investor for [00:05:57] Indonesia, and for this year until the third [00:06:01] quarter, I think the number the investment from Singapore [00:06:04] to Indonesia have [00:06:07] around more than 15 billion US [00:06:10] dollar, so total. last 10 years [00:06:14] in Singapore investment to Indonesia is more than [00:06:18] 75 billion US dollar yeah [00:06:20] so uh I think this is the [00:06:24] the [00:06:24] the signal that Indonesia is [00:06:28] very attractive place for the Singapore businesses [00:06:32] so that's why so many Singapore businesses now [00:06:35] also come to Indonesia and trying to [00:06:39] find the the the opportunity. [00:06:43] Next week I will be [00:06:45] accompanied the Malay Singapore [00:06:48] association businesses Association to visit [00:06:52] Indonesia and to trying to find the opportunity of [00:06:55] Indonesia [00:06:57] inter balance between ambassador being the largest investors [00:07:01] into Indonesia walk us through some the biggest [00:07:05] aspects sectors that Singapore is highly keen [00:07:09] to interest in our country. [00:07:13] at the moment i think the green [00:07:16] energy is one the very [00:07:20] interested by singapore businesses so last [00:07:23] i [00:07:24] think this year when we have [00:07:28] the forum in jakarta Indonesia and singapore have [00:07:31] agreed Indonesia especially agreed to [00:07:35] export 4 gigawatt green energy to [00:07:38] singapore so this is one area that [00:07:43] why Singapore business is [00:07:47] very attractive to Indonesia, the second one in the [00:07:50] manufacturing, so Singapore, as we know, [00:07:54] have only granted by the President Yokovi [00:07:57] in 2016 that we have [00:08:01] a special industrial park dedicated for [00:08:04] Singapore in Kandal, and now [00:08:08] around 20 hectares have already fully with [00:08:12] the investment from Singapore and that's why the government [00:08:16] local government in Kandal is trying to edit around [00:08:20] 2000 hectares more to attract [00:08:24] investment in Singapore, but not only in [00:08:26] Kandal, [00:08:28] in many in many area of Indonesia, singapore business is [00:08:32] attract and willing to [00:08:36] invest Indonesia, I think this morning for the [00:08:39] example the Singapore ambassador. Indonesia [00:08:43] visited Grasik with the [00:08:47] sample to look the [00:08:49] opportunity that Singapore businesses can be [00:08:53] infected in in East Java, so I [00:08:57] think still many area that the Singapore interested [00:09:00] including in Halal product and [00:09:04] also for the SMPs Halal industry and tourisms are [00:09:08] indeed on the rise as of this moment Mr. Ambassador. [00:09:12] Your excellency, before we close this very particular segment, I'd like to [00:09:16] get your take on the new capital of Santara, which [00:09:20] is a carry over from our previous administrations president [00:09:23] jokodo to now a president, a current president [00:09:27] president, meaning that I like to get your [00:09:31] insights as whether or not the investments, [00:09:34] some portions or rather the investments from Singapore will be [00:09:38] projected towards the ongoing projects the new capital of Indonesia. [00:09:43] will that be something that prime minister Lawrence will be put on [00:09:47] the table later on during his state visit to the country in your [00:09:50] opinion? two years [00:09:53] ago, Indonesia singapore is trying to [00:09:56] invite the Singapore businesses [00:10:00] to visited new [00:10:02] capital, we want to give it the [00:10:06] opportunity for Singapore businesses to seeing [00:10:09] directly what was happened in the new capital. seeing is [00:10:13] believing and around 104 singapore [00:10:17] business [00:10:21] uh join with us uh when? [00:10:25] through new capital and after the [00:10:29] visit around 24 letter of intent have for [00:10:33] the offer by singapore businesses to [00:10:35] authority the new [00:10:38] capital and until now they are still [00:10:41] waiting reply from the authority [00:10:45] the capital because they have still a [00:10:49] problem with the land acquisition for [00:10:52] example one singapore company [00:10:56] join with the PLN, they are have already [00:10:59] developed 5 megawatt [00:11:03] solar panel in new capital, as we [00:11:07] know that the new capital is will [00:11:09] be model the green city of [00:11:12] Indonesia and all the energy is must be coming [00:11:16] from the green energy, the problem now is [00:11:20] facing is how the land acquisition until now the [00:11:24] authority. cannot be sure how [00:11:27] sand can use the land in the new capital, so [00:11:31] I think the problem is not coming from the investor, the [00:11:35] problem is in our a problem, especially in the [00:11:38] authority of new capital, how they can be [00:11:41] settle the the the main problem especially for [00:11:45] the land acquisition in new capital, that's [00:11:49] certainly all the details that we need to iron out in [00:11:51] the near future, we'll have to take a quick break, miss ambassador do stay. with us, special [00:11:55] dialogue here on TVR world, world return in just few minutes, don't go [00:11:59] anywhere, [00:12:16] join us Monday to Friday from 5 to 6 [00:12:19] pm, only on TVRI [00:12:22] World. [00:25:55] Hello, you're still watching special dialogue here on TV [00:25:58] our world, we are still deep in conversation with the ambassador the Republic of India. [00:26:02] Indonesia to singapore, his excellency Suryo Pratomo joining [00:26:06] me from Singapore. Mr. Ambassador, thank you very [00:26:10] much for still being with us for this conversations. We're now moving [00:26:14] to our next segment the special dialogue. I like to give [00:26:18] insights a very crucial matter pertaining to [00:26:21] the borders of Indonesia and Singapore, [00:26:25] particularly the air space. As we know [00:26:27] you mentioned also very briefly at the beginning that the [00:26:30] initial period of our relations. quite tense between Indonesia and Singapore and [00:26:34] back in 1995 uh the flight information [00:26:38] region offer on above two very important [00:26:42] outer islands of Indonesia near sumatra has belong [00:26:46] to Singapore and this year March [00:26:49] 2024 mark such a milestone went the [00:26:53] realignment the air space the [00:26:57] fur region back to Jakarta has been [00:27:01] signed what more can you tell us about these achievements that have been [00:27:04] long negotiated by both countries? [00:27:08] yes, i think we have [00:27:12] three crucial agreement that have [00:27:15] already stopped around 17 [00:27:18] years since 2007. the [00:27:22] first one is about the applied information region, the second one is [00:27:26] the defense cooperation agreement and the third one is extradition [00:27:30] treaty and ' we also [00:27:33] i happy that in 2022 [00:27:37] after we passing the very [00:27:41] crucial moment for the pandemic covid-19, i think the two [00:27:45] leaders have agreed to to to [00:27:49] to sign to in the agreement for the [00:27:52] three crucial issues and [00:27:56] last year or mean this year [00:27:59] 2024 the parliament we [00:28:02] ratify and all the three agreement is [00:28:06] fully implemented [00:28:08] and for the [00:28:12] fear the flight information agent the two countries is [00:28:16] agreed espcially for the the the [00:28:19] the area for landing and for chi we are [00:28:23] not together to to control [00:28:27] so that why [00:28:27] the 10 Indonesian [00:28:29] officer since march. [00:28:33] 2024 now they [00:28:36] are post in the changi air traffic [00:28:40] control and they can [00:28:43] also work together with the Singapore [00:28:46] officer to control how the [00:28:50] traffic for landing and take off around [00:28:53] Changi and Singapore have already agreed [00:28:56] to uh give it back [00:29:00] all the area surrounding the nafuna so that's [00:29:04] why [00:29:05] for the soverenty now Indonesia [00:29:08] have get all the things that we are [00:29:11] need to implementing the unclos [00:29:15] 1982 so this is very significant for [00:29:18] for Indonesia for the CA also the two countries [00:29:22] now working together in military to how [00:29:26] implement the specially training area especially [00:29:30] in once again in Natuna and because the [00:29:33] areas surrounding the natuna now have be totally changed and [00:29:37] that's why on July this year the two [00:29:41] officer from the ministry of defense [00:29:44] forces they are sitting together and working how [00:29:48] to uh once again to fix the area [00:29:52] for the training ground for the Singapore and for extra [00:29:55] disciplity now we are working together how [00:29:59] implement specially uh [00:30:03] what that Indonesia need for the [00:30:06] fugitive to probably stay in [00:30:09] Singapore, so I think with the two three [00:30:13] agreement at the moment we don't have [00:30:16] any barrier how to improve [00:30:19] our relationship between the two countries. [00:30:23] well ambassador tommy on the note the defense [00:30:27] cooperations, just september this years another [00:30:31] sessions of joint. military drill took place between Indonesia and [00:30:34] Singapore and this is something that has become a traditions for over 36 [00:30:38] years between Indonesia and Singapore's in terms [00:30:42] of sharing practices in military and also [00:30:46] defense. what can you tell us about uh [00:30:50] the adoption of military technologies between India and Singapore, [00:30:53] particularly the two regions contributions towards the [00:30:57] regional peace as we're now entering peer.
