[00:00:02] Attention, broadcast dedicated to people with hearing impairments, [00:00:24] good evening and welcome to the news. Here are the headlines of this [00:00:29] discharges of up to 25 edition. The draft fiscal policy for [00:00:32] 2027 was published today for public [00:00:36] consultations. The goal is for citizens to earn more and [00:00:39] for each entrepreneur to be able to invest more. It is the basis for a [00:00:43] tax system with a reduced number of [00:00:45] taxes. [00:00:47] The National Bank of Moldova has increased the base rate by 0.5 [00:00:51] percentage points to 7.5% [00:00:54] annually. The measure aims to limit price increases and [00:00:58] bring inflation back to the target of 5% in the medium [00:01:02] term. [00:01:04] The Ministry of Education is preparing one of the most important changes [00:01:08] to the school curriculum. The new study programs give [00:01:11] greater attention to digital education and critical [00:01:14] thinking. [00:01:19] The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova presented today the fiscal [00:01:22] policy for 2027. [00:01:25] The project is subject to public consultations and proposes fewer [00:01:28] labor taxes, more support for investments and more [00:01:32] taxation of vices. VAT for medicines will not increase and [00:01:36] 0% VAT will be maintained for the sale [00:01:39] of basic housing for individuals. [00:01:41] fizice. [00:01:44] In the new fiscal policy, the government proposes that essential products remain [00:01:48] with the same VAT as now. Bread, most [00:01:52] dairy products, fresh vegetables and fruits will continue [00:01:56] to have 8% VAT. The same rate remains for [00:01:59] medicines or other essential pharmaceutical [00:02:02] products. In the Horeca sector, it is proposed that VAT increase from [00:02:06] 8% to 12%. In [00:02:08] comparison, the Munteanu government wanted a 20% [00:02:11] tax. A 12% rate will also apply [00:02:15] to livestock, plant cultivation, and horticultural [00:02:18] production, as well as for other non-essential food products. Moldovan [00:02:22] cheese will remain at 8%. Mozzarella, on the other [00:02:25] hand, and other products of this type will move to [00:02:28] 12%. I think it's fair, I think it's just. [00:02:32] People should have access to essential Moldovan products. For agriculture, [00:02:35] the approach must be balanced. Farmers must remain [00:02:39] competitive. And in the case of exporters, the effect is [00:02:42] neutral, because VAT is reimbursed. For electricity [00:02:45] and gas, the Ministry of Finance has made calculations based [00:02:49] regions of the country. Kyiv on basic consumption. For the first 150 [00:02:52] m3 of gas used by a household for one month, the [00:02:56] current VAT of 8% will remain. And the first 100 [00:03:01] of electricity will not be taxed, 20% VAT [00:03:04] will apply only for consumption exceeding [00:03:08] the announced thresholds. This winter nothing changes, [00:03:11] so I repeat once again, the measures will enter into force only after [00:03:15] April 1, 2027. Approximately [00:03:18] 86% of households during the cold [00:03:21] period will fall below the level of [00:03:24] 150 m3 of gas, so the vast majority of [00:03:28] basins there were households will not be affected by this [00:03:32] VAT tariff. Our objective is to protect [00:03:35] basic consumption, especially of vulnerable families and moderate [00:03:39] consumers. [00:03:41] level of the Danube, the Paks The government also proposes increasing the personal exemption by [00:03:44] 10,300 lei per year, in other words, 4,000 lei [00:03:48] from the annual income of an employee will not be [00:03:50] taxed. On the other hand, the [00:03:53] He explained that the lack of these munitions taxation of vices will increase, most tobacco products excise duties will increase by [00:03:58] the monetary policy interest rate 20%. And for nicotine vaping liquids, such as those in electronic [00:04:02] cigarettes, by [00:04:04] the NBM, the measure is necessary 50%. Sugary drinks, energy drinks and pyrotechnic [00:04:07] products will be taxed for the first time, and [00:04:10] 6% will also be taxed on the total volume of money [00:04:14] wagered in gambling collected by companies. [00:04:17] Moldovans spend 10 billion lei annually [00:04:20] on gambling, it is a very [00:04:23] large amount, it is more [00:04:26] than the annual transfers from the state [00:04:30] budget for the health sector. The year-on-year increase in vaping consumption [00:04:34] is about 30%, a very high growth rate, it worries me as [00:04:37] a parent, we will increase excise duties in the case of vaping by [00:04:41] 50%, a very ambitious increase and we hope this will [00:04:45] discourage the consumption of these products. The 0% [00:04:48] tax regime for reinvested profit will also be extended [00:04:51] for companies with turnovers or assets [00:04:55] of up to 200 million lei. At the same time, the [00:04:59] income tax paid by banks and other financial [00:05:02] institutions will increase by 50%. [00:05:05] We consider that a supplementary temporary contribution for [00:05:08] 2027 is justified. The financial sector has [00:05:11] had good results. The state has great needs, [00:05:15] society needs solidarity. There will be [00:05:19] VAT for goods ordered from outside the country, with a [00:05:22] fixed tax of 12 lei per package. The excise duty on diesel is [00:05:26] proposed to increase by 20 percent. For car [00:05:29] purchases, for now, VAT is not introduced, but excise [00:05:33] duty is introduced for electric cars. The fiscal policy [00:05:36] will be submitted to a vote only after it passes public [00:05:40] consultations. [00:05:42] And today the Republic of Moldova faced an electricity deficit, [00:05:46] but not as pronounced as in the last two [00:05:49] days. Even so, the situation in the region remains tense, while [00:05:53] the parliament, some city halls and other institutions [00:05:56] have announced measures to reduce consumption. Prime Minister Vasile [00:06:00] Tofan warns that in the coming days the country might not even [00:06:03] be able to buy emergency energy to cover the deficit. [00:06:07] deficitului. [00:06:10] If we want to iron some clothes, if we want to [00:06:14] turn on the air conditioner to cool the room, but everyone with [00:06:18] their own needs and everyone who needs it, [00:06:21] please do it outside peak hours, do it before 7 [00:06:25] PM and preferably after 11 PM. This also prevents us from [00:06:28] much higher bills, because the electricity we buy for emergencies is very [00:06:32] expensive. I want to ask businesses as well, yesterday I was walking through Chisinau, it looked [00:06:35] like a disco, too many lights on. Parliament claims to [00:06:39] have intensified actions to reduce consumption. Among [00:06:42] these are disconnecting some electrical equipment, temporarily switching [00:06:46] off the decorative lighting of the building, temporarily giving [00:06:49] up hot water or even giving up using elevators. [00:06:53] Similar measures have been announced by the Chisinau City Hall and those [00:06:57] in other regions of the Republic of Moldova. In Chetrosu, Anenii Noi district, [00:07:00] public street lighting will be temporarily suspended. And we [00:07:04] received the decision to completely disconnect street [00:07:07] lighting in our commune. We also [00:07:11] reduced - right at the city hall institution, the air [00:07:15] conditioning, instead of three, we left [00:07:18] one. We all live in one country, in one house, [00:07:21] called the Republic of Moldova. Now each of us at home tries [00:07:25] to reduce expenses, because that will hit us in the [00:07:28] pocket later. The Republic of Moldova recorded a trade deficit of [00:07:32] 39 MWh between 4 and [00:07:36] 5 PM. Nevertheless, the energy situation in the region remains [00:07:39] difficult, and limited availability on foreign [00:07:43] markets makes electricity much more expensive, especially during [00:07:47] peak hours. The government warns that these costs will [00:07:50] inevitably be reflected in the tariffs paid by [00:07:53] consumers and urges citizens to reduce consumption during [00:07:57] peak hours. The crisis is caused by high energy [00:08:01] consumption, due to the heat wave and the limited [00:08:04] availability of electricity on regional [00:08:07] markets. In several European countries, [00:08:11] authorities call on citizens to be careful with [00:08:14] electricity consumption and to save whenever [00:08:18] possible, so that rationing is not necessary. Hydropower [00:08:21] production is low in several states due to drought, [00:08:25] and demand is higher either for irrigation or [00:08:28] for cooling rooms. [00:08:32] Slovenia's only nuclear power plant in Krško will reduce [00:08:36] energy production due to the low level of the Sava [00:08:38] River. [00:08:48] Hungary is the country in the most difficult situation, due to the extremely low [00:08:53] nuclear power plant has reduced, temporarily stopped production. The [00:08:57] government has called on the population to save energy between 5 PM and [00:09:00] 10 PM, including by limiting the use of air conditioning and [00:09:04] limiting the charging of electric vehicles. Budapest has [00:09:07] announced that if the situation worsens, it will introduce rationing for [00:09:11] large industrial consumers. Measures such as switching [00:09:15] off decorative lighting and reducing some rail transport have already been [00:09:19] taken. In Croatia, there is a red heat alert, and river levels are [00:09:22] at historical lows. Smaller courses such as Orleava and [00:09:26] Plitvice are almost dry, rivers where one could swim, now [00:09:30] have only a few centimeters. I am one of the swimmers who has been swimming [00:09:33] here for years and I don't remember the Drava being so [00:09:37] low, so pleasant, we measured the temperature [00:09:40] around 28° and... [00:10:12] In addition, Bulgaria has invested heavily in batteries, including for [00:10:16] storing energy produced by prosumers. Households and [00:10:19] companies that have photovoltaic panels practically [00:10:22] feed more electricity into the grid than. [00:10:30] High temperatures heat the water in ponds and endanger [00:10:33] fish health. What measures are fish farmers taking to prevent [00:10:37] losses, we'll tell you in [00:10:39] the news. [00:10:44] After several days of heatwave, the yellow code for atmospheric [00:10:48] instability came into force. Heavy rains with electrical [00:10:54] liters per square meter are expected. Hail will fall [00:10:57] in some places and there will be strong winds of up to 20 [00:11:00] m/s. According to the meteorological authority, [00:11:04] the warning concerns the districts in the north and center of the Republic [00:11:08] of Moldova and is valid until after midnight. [00:11:10] nopții. [00:11:19] The heat values also affect fish farms, high [00:11:23] temperatures heat the water in ponds and endanger [00:11:26] fish health because the development of algae is [00:11:30] favored. So far, no serious cases of fish [00:11:34] mortality have been recorded, but producers must take measures [00:11:38] to prevent losses. [00:11:41] The Sălaj pond near the village of Gura Bîcului, Anenii [00:11:45] Noi district, is entirely fed by the Nistru River. The effects [00:11:49] of the heatwave are already visible. The water level has dropped by almost [00:11:52] 30 cm, and the water temperature has exceeded [00:11:56] the norm, which is 24-27 degrees. [00:11:59] For the Sălaj lake area, [00:12:02] in summer we have water temperatures above [00:12:05] 30 degrees, a temperature too high for [00:12:08] fish to feed and develop normally. At such [00:12:12] temperatures, fish feed in the morning, at night, in the morning, [00:12:16] during the day it is already more passive. For now, the water in the lake remains [00:12:19] clean, but no one knows for how long. This is the [00:12:23] canal through which water from the Nistru is brought to the Sălaj [00:12:27] lake fish farm. One can easily observe the algae [00:12:30] floating around, which are specific to the Nistru. However, they do not [00:12:34] reach the lake. Before the water enters the fish pond, it passes [00:12:38] through a system of filters that retain the algae [00:12:41] and thus protect the lake's ecosystem. To increase the [00:12:45] oxygen level in the water, administrators use motorboats. [00:12:49] The waves created help oxygenate the water and reduce [00:12:53] the risk of fish dying. This is a method of aerating [00:12:57] and ventilating the water. Practically every [00:12:59] morning, at 5-6 AM, for an [00:13:03] hour or two, we aerate, ventilate [00:13:06] the water, dissolve the film that forms from [00:13:10] top plankton at night to protect [00:13:13] the fish from dying. Once out of [00:13:17] control, the phenomenon of algae development can cause serious [00:13:20] damage. The blooming of blue-green algae leads to them [00:13:24] releasing, when they develop [00:13:27] abundantly and even when they perish, that is, they [00:13:31] die, they release into the water substances [00:13:34] that are toxic to fish, to [00:13:37] snails and to other aquatic organisms. [00:13:40] floating and those from the ecosystem [00:13:43] fund. The heatwave brings higher costs for [00:13:46] fish farmers and they do not benefit from state [00:13:49] subsidies. As far as I know, in some [00:13:53] from 500 to 2000 lei per hectare, meaning [00:13:57] there were additional costs for improving the situation, [00:14:00] because there are some basins where there are more fish, [00:14:04] clearly there needs to be a more intensive treatment. Unfortunately, [00:14:07] at the moment we do not have help from the [00:14:10] state, we would very much like to be [00:14:14] exempted from taxes, from payments, but [00:14:17] unfortunately this year, on the contrary, we were [00:14:21] overtaxed. A possible solution [00:14:23] is the new strategic program in aquaculture proposed [00:14:27] for the next four years. The document provides for investments [00:14:30] and financial support of over half a billion lei for the [00:14:34] modernization of fish ponds. In the Republic of [00:14:37] Moldova, over 5,000 aquatic basins and more [00:14:40] than 1,000 fish producers are registered. These produce [00:14:44] almost 13,000 tons of [00:14:46] fish annually. [00:14:48] All of Italy is under a red heatwave code. For the first [00:14:52] time this year, all 27 major [00:14:55] cities on the peninsula are in a state of climatic alert as [00:14:59] temperatures exceed 40°C. [00:15:03] Authorities recommend that the population exercise caution. In [00:15:07] Rome, the city hall inaugurated the first urban climate [00:15:10] refuge. The maximum alert status concerns [00:15:13] the entire population of Italy, not just vulnerable categories. [00:15:17] The peninsula is already going through its fourth heatwave since the beginning of [00:15:20] summer, and locals and tourists are struggling with the thermal discomfort. [00:15:25] For the first time this year, all 27 major [00:15:28] Italian cities have been placed under a red heatwave code. This [00:15:32] unprecedented measure taken by the Ministry of Health is a warning to [00:15:36] the population of all ages. Faced with increasingly [00:15:40] frequent heatwaves, the Rome administration has inaugurated the first [00:15:43] urban space specially designed to combat the effects [00:15:46] of the heatwave. The area was set up on the outskirts to [00:15:50] offer residents a refuge on scorching [00:15:53] days. It is equipped with water sprinklers, climbing [00:15:56] plants and plenty of shade. I took a sun umbrella [00:16:00] and a cap, a hat, but [00:16:03] it still doesn't seem enough. We are looking for shady places. [00:16:08] with an umbrella, with a cap, we hydrate very [00:16:12] well. Meteorologists warn that heatwaves are [00:16:15] becoming increasingly intense and persistent in Southern [00:16:18] Europe, and cities are forced to invest in [00:16:22] solutions to adapt to climate change. And on the [00:16:25] Dalmatian Coast in Croatia, tourists and locals are struggling [00:16:29] with high temperatures. In Dubrovnik, the temperature [00:16:33] reaches 40°C in the middle of the day. [00:16:37] got a hot, not got it on at the moment in the shade, but I've got a hot, get [00:16:41] my son on, plenty of water to drink, and I'm [00:16:45] just very hot all the time, [00:16:48] at lunchtime, the beaches in the city in southern Croatia are [00:16:52] almost empty because the sun is burning with [00:16:54] power. [00:16:59] A minor from Edineț was sentenced to imprisonment for [00:17:02] drug distribution. Meanwhile, authorities announce that [00:17:06] the number of children involved in illicit drug [00:17:10] trafficking has doubled. What makes them choose this dangerous path, we'll find [00:17:13] out in the news. [00:17:18] In the last two days, authorities have not registered illegal [00:17:22] overflights of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. [00:17:25] The drone fragments found yesterday near the village of Văleni, Cahul [00:17:29] district, would have fallen much earlier. According to the police, [00:17:33] the remains are undergoing expertise to determine the [00:17:36] period in which they reached the field, as well as the direction [00:17:40] from which the aircraft came. Checks indicate that it is a [00:17:43] Geran 2 type drone. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns [00:17:47] the repeated violation of national airspace and the risks that [00:17:50] such incidents pose to the safety of [00:17:54] citizens. [00:17:58] This incident represents a new violation of the sovereignty and territorial [00:18:01] integrity of the Republic of Moldova and constitutes a serious [00:18:05] risk to the security of our citizens. The Republic of Moldova [00:18:09] condemns the war of aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine [00:18:13] and the consequences it generates on regional security. [00:18:16] regionale. [00:18:19] A new wave of Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine [00:18:23] caused casualties in several [00:18:26] authorities are looking for solutions to strengthen air defense, but [00:18:30] maintain pressure on Russia through attacks on its energy [00:18:34] and logistical infrastructure. [00:18:38] In the Kharkiv region, Russian drones hit residential areas in Balakliia [00:18:42] and the Lozova train station, killing at least five people [00:18:45] and injuring eight others. Attacks continued in the Sumy region, [00:18:49] where Russian guided aerial bombs damaged apartment buildings, injuring [00:18:52] over 10 people. This morning, Russia also hit a residential area [00:18:56] in the city of Zaporizhzhia, injuring two civilians and damaging several [00:19:00] apartment buildings, including nearby buildings. In the Odesa region, [00:19:03] Russian strikes damaged seven houses, injuring one person. The new wave of [00:19:06] attacks, after the massive bombardment of the Kyiv region, resulted [00:19:10] in at least 17 deaths and dozens injured, prompting Ukrainian [00:19:14] authorities to prioritize strengthening air defense and protecting [00:19:17] critical infrastructure. At the National Security and Defense Council [00:19:21] meeting, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Patriot missile [00:19:25] deliveries from European allies have decreased threefold compared to last year. [00:19:31] is related to the needs of the United States in the conflict with Iran, but [00:19:34] suggested that the pace of deliveries could also be influenced by the fact [00:19:38] of European partners, their involvement in the Middle [00:19:41] East was minimized, but nevertheless [00:19:44] in previous years they gave Ukraine [00:19:48] anti-ballistic missiles, primarily to replenish our [00:19:52] Patriots and other [00:19:55] air defense systems, understanding such a large deficit, [00:19:58] and I don't know if there are other reasons, apart from the Middle [00:20:01] East, maybe political steps [00:20:05] to make Ukraine more... let's say, [00:20:08] more agreeable. [00:20:12] Yes, in my opinion, it is not without this. [00:20:14] Yes. [00:20:18] In the context of the shortage of anti-aircraft missiles, Zelensky urged [00:20:22] authorities and the defense industry to accelerate the creation of their [00:20:25] own air defense capabilities, including through cooperation with [00:20:29] European partners. In response to Russian attacks, Ukraine continues [00:20:32] its campaign of strikes against logistical and economic targets in Russia. [00:20:36] Last night, Ukrainians attacked several targets on Russian [00:20:40] territory, causing a fire at one of the largest oil refineries [00:20:44] in the Yaroslavl region, located over 700 km from the border [00:20:47] with Ukraine. Ukrainian forces continued their series of strikes [00:20:51] against the warehouses of the Waldberis company, which also sells military [00:20:55] equipment, causing a fire at the company's warehouses in the Tver [00:20:58] region. [00:21:00] A minor from Edineț was sentenced to four years and six months in [00:21:04] prison for drug distribution. According to [00:21:08] the prosecutor's office, he bought the narcotic substances through [00:21:11] the Telegram application and placed them in different [00:21:14] hiding places. The police found 63 packages of [00:21:18] drugs. Meanwhile, more and more teenagers end up in the [00:21:22] hospital due to drug use. This year alone, [00:21:24] 70 users arrived at the Mother and Child Institute, [00:21:28] and almost half of them required hospitalization. [00:21:32] The Ministry of Health announces that it will reorganize the system [00:21:35] for treating and monitoring these patients because the number [00:21:39] of children involved in drug distribution has [00:21:42] doubled. [00:21:43] dublat. [00:21:47] According to doctors, most intoxications are caused by [00:21:51] the consumption of synthetic and semi-synthetic psychotropic [00:21:54] substances. In case of overdoses, the consequences can be [00:21:57] dramatic. Consumption can cause severe neurological [00:22:01] disorders, respiratory arrest or cardiac [00:22:04] arrest. At the moment, we do not have specialized [00:22:06] centers that deal with dependent minors. In the toxicology [00:22:10] department, we work with children in acute conditions who are [00:22:13] in danger of losing their lives. We have repeated [00:22:17] cases where we intervene and social [00:22:21] assistance and the police officer are also [00:22:24] sensitized. Data from the anti-drug directorate shows [00:22:27] that the phenomenon of drug consumption and trafficking among [00:22:31] minors is growing. The youngest identified user is only [00:22:34] 12 years old. Specialists warn that more and more [00:22:38] children are recruited by trafficking networks through the [00:22:41] Telegram application. Initially, they are lured into distributing [00:22:45] drugs for money, and then they themselves become users. According [00:22:48] to authorities, almost 85% of the minors [00:22:52] involved are not sufficiently supervised by their parents, [00:22:55] they are easier to [00:22:58] manipulate, they are people who always want [00:23:02] to see everything and understand [00:23:06] everything and get involved in drug trafficking. Drug traffickers, [00:23:09] I would even say that in the last period they [00:23:13] are increasingly trying to involve minors in drug trafficking. [00:23:17] 26 minors were arrested as being involved [00:23:20] in drug trafficking, aged 16 to 17, [00:23:23] two minors aged between 14 and 15, and one minor [00:23:27] under 14. Authorities recognize that the current system [00:23:31] only responds to medical emergencies and does not provide [00:23:34] continuity in addiction treatment. For this reason, [00:23:38] the Ministry of Health is preparing a new medical pathway exclusively [00:23:42] for adolescent drug users. [00:23:45] We plan that these [00:23:49] adolescents will be psychologically and psychiatrically monitored [00:23:52] in community mental health centers, in which we will [00:23:56] also include an addiction specialist. [00:23:58] We want to focus [00:24:01] on relapses as well. According to the police, minors [00:24:05] under 16 are not arrested for the first offense, but are [00:24:08] left in the care of their parents. In many cases, however, [00:24:11] they return to criminal activity in just a few [00:24:15] months. Of the 26 adolescents arrested this [00:24:18] year for drug trafficking, five are [00:24:21] repeat offenders. [00:24:26] 200 children from the diaspora and 40 from the Republic of Moldova are [00:24:30] ready to discover together their roots, culture and [00:24:33] traditions. In the Dor camp. What surprises [00:24:36] await them, we'll find out in [00:24:37] the news. [00:24:42] Loans are getting more expensive. The National Bank of Moldova has increased [00:24:48] from 7% to 7. 5%. According to [00:24:54] to reduce the inflation rate, which is on an upward [00:24:57] trend. Some experts believe that in this way, the institution [00:25:00] wants to discourage people from taking consumer loans. The most [00:25:04] affected by the new rule will be the government, which will have to [00:25:07] higher interest rates on loans already [00:25:10] accessed. [00:25:13] According to the decision of the National Bank of Moldova, adopted unanimously [00:25:17] by the Executive Committee, the interest rate for overnight [00:25:20] loans was set at 9.5%, and for [00:25:24] deposits at 5.5%. [00:25:28] At the same time, the monetary interest rate will be 0.5% [00:25:30] higher, i.e., from 7% to [00:25:34] 7.5%. This comes after the NBM increased it from [00:25:37] 6.5% to 7% on [00:25:40] June 18. In a statement, the NBM specifies that [00:25:43] the measure is short-term and comes in a context where it is [00:25:47] estimated that the inflation trend this year requires [00:25:50] additional measures to prevent the amplification of pressures on [00:25:54] prices. We are witnessing an acceleration of lending, [00:25:57] meaning people are happily taking out loans, and the national bank is now trying to temper [00:26:01] this by making money more expensive, encouraging people to keep [00:26:05] deposits in banks. The first to suffer is the government, because for them [00:26:08] this means more expensive money. The government borrows every month. [00:26:12] Secondly, the increase in consumer loans. [00:26:15] Next to be affected are mortgage loans. The goal of [00:26:19] the national bank to discourage those with consumer loans will not [00:26:23] be achieved, because even if they get more expensive, people will [00:26:26] borrow without any hesitation. Now, economic expert [00:26:30] Viaceslav Ioniță says that the increase in the base rate is a [00:26:34] consequence of global shocks that the Republic of [00:26:37] Moldova is also experiencing. The war in Iran, the global [00:26:40] crisis, everything related to supply, the increase in energy [00:26:44] resources, gas on the international market has increased by over [00:26:47] 40%. We have an enormous pressure on [00:26:50] domestic prices, we are swimming in them, and all this, the regional crisis [00:26:54] brings us an increase in electricity prices, petroleum [00:26:57] products, food products, all these [00:27:00] things create certain premises. In the second [00:27:03] quarter of the year, the annual inflation rate reached [00:27:07] 6.68%, [00:27:09] a trend mainly influenced by the increase in fuel and [00:27:12] transport services. The central bank attributed these [00:27:16] increases to the tensions generated by the conflict in the Middle [00:27:19] East, which affected energy markets and exerted [00:27:23] additional pressure on costs. [00:27:25] The [00:27:27] Ministry of Education and Research is preparing one of the most [00:27:31] important changes to the school curriculum in recent [00:27:34] years. The proposals are under public consultation and concern [00:27:38] all levels of education. The new curricula [00:27:41] pay more attention to digital education, critical [00:27:44] thinking, and the responsible use of [00:27:47] technologies, so that students are better prepared [00:27:51] for the challenges of today's [00:27:52] world. [00:27:56] Changes to the school curriculum are eagerly awaited by parents [00:27:59] and teachers. I would agree with, for example. In America, I had a [00:28:03] classmate who wanted to study biology, and it was more [00:28:06] practical, not just theory memorized. [00:28:10] Practical is something else when a child studies, [00:28:13] sees, and can go further in life. Should it be more [00:28:16] digitalized? We need to have more [00:28:20] languages to study, because [00:28:23] these are things that children need. It certainly [00:28:27] needs to change something, because everything around us is evolving, [00:28:30] but education remains the same. [00:28:33] It's like now, I don't know, 10 years ago, nothing, meaning nothing [00:28:37] changes. The implementation of the new curriculum will also be accompanied by [00:28:40] teacher training. From what I understand, digital tools [00:28:44] will also be introduced, which we will use [00:28:48] extensively, because we have students in front of us, [00:28:52] disciples who are up with the times. I am sure that there are very [00:28:56] well-prepared teachers, and those who may still have some shortcomings enroll in [00:28:59] digiprof courses and so on, some welcome courses. A new element [00:29:03] is the emphasis on values such as peace, democracy, responsibility, [00:29:07] respect, and inclusion, which will be integrated into all disciplines. [00:29:11] They propose to modify the curricula in the following way: to introduce 10 [00:29:15] modules and 10 principles that they [00:29:18] call authentic values, to be [00:29:21] incorporated into all disciplines. So you learn physics, you learn [00:29:25] biology, history, it doesn't matter, you have to learn about gender equality, about [00:29:29] inclusion, about homosexuals, about green [00:29:32] politics, which is not correct, and so on. So it is a [00:29:35] destruction of the education system, and I am categorically against [00:29:39] this. The development of the new programs involved [00:29:42] 240 curriculum experts. The reform also brings [00:29:45] changes in the structure of disciplines. The subject "Me and Society" appears, [00:29:49] the Arts discipline will combine music education and visual [00:29:52] arts. And in high school, new subjects such as economics and [00:29:56] political science will be introduced. At the same time, computer science will be taught starting from [00:30:00] the fifth grade, and digital education [00:30:02] will be expanded. Children will have the opportunity to study computer [00:30:06] science from the first grade, which we haven't had until now, and that would be [00:30:10] a benefit for students. Also, [00:30:13] if it concerns technology, then they will also have digital [00:30:16] education. So it will be a continuation of what they had from [00:30:19] the first grade to the fourth grade. They will already have it from the fifth grade to the [00:30:23] ninth grade. According to the Ministry of Education, the purpose of the reform is for [00:30:27] students to better understand what they are learning and to be able to apply [00:30:30] the information in real contexts. The expectations are that the new [00:30:34] curriculum will certainly bring [00:30:37] fundamental knowledge closer to real [00:30:40] life, so that students understand [00:30:44] what they are learning and why they are learning it, to be able to apply these [00:30:47] knowledge in various social and life [00:30:51] contexts, in different professional contexts. [00:30:54] The new curriculum projects are subject to public consultation until [00:30:58] mid-September.
