[00:00:04] Ciolacu left in 2024 from [00:00:31] Designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu concluded rounds of consultations with parliamentary [00:00:35] parties. We do not know what type of government we will have, nor its nominal composition. [00:00:39] There are three days left until the deadline for submitting the government program [00:00:43] and the list of ministers expires. A six-month political [00:00:46] agreement to support the government on essential issues, not just a vote for [00:00:49] inauguration. This is the proposal that Luca Niculescu made to the parties [00:00:53] from the former governing coalition. PSD wants a clear majority with [00:00:57] PNL and UDMR and evokes the anticipated scenario. [00:01:00] Liberals exclude any alliance with social democrats, as do USR [00:01:04] leaders. A possible technocratic government was rejected by [00:01:07] the political class. AUR pushes the early elections button. Meanwhile, [00:01:10] energy prices are exploding, and there is no money [00:01:14] left in the budget. Can velvet diplomacy be a solution to [00:01:17] a structural crisis that Romania is going through? Luca Niculescu remains [00:01:21] therefore blocked in the war between PSD and former partners in [00:01:24] the government he overthrew five months ago. Externally, after President [00:01:28] Trump announced an energy armistice in Ukraine, [00:01:31] Russia continues to attack. According to the Financial [00:01:35] Times, the United States threatens to block arms supplies [00:01:38] and information exchanges to Ukraine, due to attacks [00:01:42] on Russian refineries. Germany and several European states [00:01:45] rejected the agreement reached by the United States and Russia regarding diesel. [00:01:54] Dialogues, Bogdan Ivan, first vice-president of PSD. The show [00:01:58] where we analyze the present and decipher the future. [00:02:19] Good evening, Mr. Bogdan Ivan, good evening, thank you very much for the invitation, welcome [00:02:22] to free dialogues, on Romanian television, we will have, I hope, a [00:02:26] free discussion, devoid of official [00:02:29] canons, so that Romanians can learn from you what [00:02:32] is important at this moment, the vision of PSD, [00:02:36] but we will also approach the main topics on [00:02:39] the international agenda, because we are also, aren't we, in [00:02:42] the middle of the geopolitical tsunami. [00:02:46] Before we address elements related to the political crisis, since [00:02:49] you are for the first time on Romanian television, on TVR 1, please introduce [00:02:53] yourself very briefly, you are extremely young, a very [00:02:56] rapid ascent, I would say, but, we are. [00:03:00] generous, I am the president of PSD Bistrița [00:03:04] Năsăud, deputy of Bistrița Năsăud and I am proud of this, and [00:03:07] successively from 2023 until five months ago I held [00:03:11] the portfolio of digitalization, of economy and digitalization and for 10 [00:03:15] months also that of energy, and at [00:03:19] the moment I strongly believe that we need [00:03:22] maturity which seems to have been missing in the last [00:03:25] period when we talk about what people expect and I believe that it does not [00:03:29] define us. a function, but what we leave behind, regardless of whether we work in [00:03:33] local administration or in the Romanian government. You [00:03:36] were already a minister at 35 years old, three [00:03:39] times? Twice, surely [00:03:43] I kept digitalization and after that also at [00:03:46] the Ministry of Energy, in three successive governments, how did you manage to skip stages? [00:03:50] It's not about skipping stages, I entered the political [00:03:54] arena at 19 and I [00:03:57] worked very hard in... this field of local administration from [00:04:01] 21 years old in the Bistrița Năsăud county council, after which [00:04:05] I entered parliament from the Social Democratic [00:04:10] argue in Bucharest, and we Party team, and I believe that two very clear lines characterize me: what [00:04:12] you say, you do and beyond [00:04:15] any party interest, the interest of the country. [00:04:19] You also had a connection with [00:04:22] the press? It is evident in a public [00:04:25] position, in my capacity as [00:04:28] advisor to the president. of the Bistrița Năsăud county council, I was also the spokesperson of [00:04:32] the institution at 21 years old and you also have a doctorate in [00:04:35] sociology and a doctorate in sociology at the University of [00:04:38] Bucharest focused on public [00:04:42] administration but also on public management, but at the same time I have [00:04:46] studied very much the segment of sociology, [00:04:49] social networks, a passion of mine which I think is very important for [00:04:53] any politician to understand with [00:04:56] his own head a campaign and to fight. on [00:05:00] consultants, but the final decisions to have the cognitive capacity to make them [00:05:04] himself when he decides [00:05:06] how he presents himself for a campaign, but especially when [00:05:10] he enters the Romanian government. And who how? your doctorate? [00:05:14] Professor Doctor Vasile Dâncu who is originally from [00:05:17] Bistrița county in Săud. What does a [00:05:21] free press mean to you and to PSD? [00:05:23] liberă? [00:05:26] And the answer I think is very simple, that [00:05:29] anyone, anytime can express their views in a way [00:05:32] that [00:05:35] regardless of the things they present and especially when we talk about [00:05:39] journalistic investigations that reveal things that are. unpleasant by [00:05:43] certain areas of economic or political [00:05:46] interest, that any journalist can express themselves and [00:05:50] say these things, without fear that at some point they might [00:05:53] have repercussions that will affect them. A free press for [00:05:57] you means a press where [00:06:00] you also transmit the messages you want to hear or [00:06:04] PSD, we will also discuss the dynamics [00:06:07] of PSD, does it also go in the direction of [00:06:11] messages. quantified, [00:06:14] delivered, to target stations, how do [00:06:18] you see this differentiation? I [00:06:21] can't, it's not very clear to me where you want to [00:06:25] emphasize, what I can say to be even [00:06:28] clearer, do you pay for information to [00:06:32] publications, to TV stations favorable to PSD? No, I [00:06:35] think so or freely with information and messages, [00:06:39] I go to all the shows I'm invited to. whether [00:06:42] we're talking about media trusts that, [00:06:46] 90% of the articles are negative towards me or [00:06:50] the social party, so you have this courage, but I have no problem doing [00:06:53] this, because that means democracy, and any politician is validated by [00:06:56] the ability to answer questions that are [00:06:58] uncomfortable, [00:07:02] and at the moment I can't, I answer the discussion [00:07:05] Ștefănescu, I answer for what I do, [00:07:09] I don't believe, I don't believe that I have colleagues who at the moment, for example, the president [00:07:12] of the party I saw him at all the important media [00:07:15] trusts when his agenda allowed it, I hope he will also come to Romanian television, I have sent [00:07:19] him an invitation, I do not make the agenda of the president, but I am [00:07:23] convinced that he will participate as he does every time and as he answers every [00:07:27] question in the press conference, what really matters from my point of view is that we are [00:07:30] in a period where the level of hatred that [00:07:34] often appears on social media and disinformation [00:07:37] is huge from my point of view, these things are part of a hybrid [00:07:41] war that does. a lot of harm to Romania if we [00:07:45] look at the hordes of bots, trolls and fake [00:07:49] accounts that target us on Facebook [00:07:52] pages, us, very often, PSD leaders, because we don't engage in such [00:07:55] practices, but it seems that our opponents or I don't know, anyone else [00:07:58] interested in directly attacking any PSD [00:08:02] leader who has a different opinion divergent [00:08:05] with the former prime minister or with the dismissed prime minister Ilie Bolojan or with our former [00:08:09] partners from USR, suddenly becomes the target of some. [00:08:12] very direct and very concerted attacks somewhere around [00:08:15] 3:4 in the morning, that's when the civic spirit of [00:08:19] bots usually activates, I'm not afraid of them either, [00:08:22] because at the moment I strongly believe that [00:08:26] no matter how much they try to [00:08:29] distort reality, people at home are the ones who see, and I am [00:08:33] very happy that there are still quality journalists in our country, and I am really happy that [00:08:37] I received this invitation for this show. Thank you very much, do you think people at home can [00:08:40] filter this? Avalanche of information [00:08:44] that does not come only directly, as you also mentioned. [00:08:48] It is, technology is very complex, but at [00:08:51] the same time, I come from a predominantly rural county in Bistrița in [00:08:55] Săud. I tell you that there are people who may have four grades of schooling, but they are [00:08:58] extremely wise and know how to distinguish. What messages do people send [00:09:02] to PSD? I tell you what messages they send [00:09:05] me. In the last period when I go to the market, to church, on [00:09:09] the street, simply, there are many people. who stop [00:09:13] me, who ask me, Mr. Ivan, do [00:09:17] something, unlock that quarrel once and for all, because there are a few people who [00:09:22] all the others, millions of people, live, [00:09:26] work more and live harder, and I think this is the message that should be [00:09:30] at the basis of the discussions that are taking place these days, [00:09:32] people live harder, work more and often [00:09:36] people who [00:09:39] work a healthy family, so to speak, [00:09:43] from the middle class cannot afford to go on vacation, cannot afford, [00:09:46] perhaps at the end of the month, to pay all their bills or the installments they have at [00:09:49] the bank. [00:09:52] I don't want to shy away from responsibility, approximately half [00:09:55] of the period from 1990 until today, the social [00:09:59] democratic party was in government and I want to make a very clear specification [00:10:03] based on the data of the National Institute of Statistics which shows that [00:10:07] every time there was a prime minister from the Social Democratic Party, Romania [00:10:11] had economic growth. I don't want to start with very, [00:10:14] very old history, but just if we remember [00:10:18] Băsescu's episode in 2008, 2010 with [00:10:21] Emil Boc, then Prime Minister Victor Ponta, there was. [00:10:25] economic growth, Prime Minister Marcel [00:10:29] Victoria Palace, during which time [00:10:32] Romania had the second highest economic growth in the entire European [00:10:35] Union, and after a year and a half with Ilie Bolojan we have [00:10:39] the biggest economic decline, all these exceptional results, you [00:10:43] lost the presidential elections with Mr. Ciolacu, having economic growth, politics is based on [00:10:47] perceptions and not on realities if it were to be [00:10:50] the Social Democratic Party elected based on pension increases, economic development. [00:10:55] The construction of highways, then surely it would have obtained the majority [00:10:59] of votes. [00:11:02] The others managed to conduct a better communication campaign than [00:11:06] the Social Democratic Party. Now Romania is in a deadlock, because [00:11:10] of what? For a very [00:11:12] clear reason, I will tell you directly, because [00:11:16] of the stubbornness of one man, and [00:11:18] when the Social Democratic Party chose to enter government in [00:11:22] 2025, [00:11:25] after the resignation of Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu in a broad coalition with PNL, [00:11:29] USR and UDMR, I believe we made a mistake that we were not [00:11:32] the ones who should have kept the position of Prime Minister of [00:11:36] Romania and then we arrived with the nomination [00:11:39] in the person of Mr. Ilie [00:11:42] Bolojan, whose qualities as administrator of the municipality of Oradea and of [00:11:46] Bihor county are not disputed by anyone, but who, once [00:11:50] he arrived at Victoria Palace with [00:11:52] an accounting approach. [00:11:55] We made a mistake, in my opinion, because we accepted and endorsed certain economic [00:11:59] measures, including the rearrangement [00:12:02] of taxation, the acceptance of the VAT increase, you agreed, [00:12:05] you participated in the governing program, you validated these decisions, [00:12:09] so you take responsibility, wait a second, you take responsibility, and that [00:12:13] we didn't put our foot down and that we [00:12:16] accepted that those measures be taken [00:12:20] by the Romanian government, I can tell you in terms of [00:12:22] energy that we also had things [00:12:26] that... depended on the then acting prime minister and namely the capping of natural gas [00:12:30] prices for household consumers until next year, which we did, we [00:12:33] thought about them, we designed them, but which were also approved with his endorsement, [00:12:37] but situations in which extremely important projects were [00:12:40] delayed, which received no answer just because [00:12:44] no consensus was reached, so you take [00:12:47] responsibility for part of this deadlock [00:12:50] absolutely in which Romania finds itself, a [00:12:54] critical consequence is when not when you perpetuate [00:12:57] a mistake: you decided once wrongly, accepting a political [00:13:01] compromise and leaving a prime minister in the person of Mr. Ilie Bolojan at the head of the country, [00:13:05] you saw that what he proposed produced [00:13:09] negative effects in society, well then you correct this mistake [00:13:12] and what we did, we did correctly in April when we decided to leave this [00:13:16] government, which for the first time in [00:13:19] 36 years in the post-December history of Romania after you have [00:13:23] an overwhelming vote in... in parliament in a motion of [00:13:26] no-confidence, not even those who wrote [00:13:29] the constitution after 90 thought that a government dismissed by a motion of no-confidence [00:13:33] would continue to cling to the chair at Victoria [00:13:37] Palace and would not agree to leave there. Is [00:13:39] that the speech from the party, I want to ask [00:13:43] you about the points from the party, I was there, I absolutely you were a minister [00:13:46] in I lived together with my [00:13:49] colleagues very complex things during [00:13:52] this period, you cannot have a strictly [00:13:55] accounting approach, and I will give you an example that will hurt [00:13:58] many residents of Bucharest and Craiova this winter. There are [00:14:01] 80,000 people who in recent years, during [00:14:05] winter, in the capital of Romania have no access to hot water [00:14:08] and heating, we have three important hospitals where doctors cannot perform [00:14:12] operations because they do not have heating when it is freezing. I came [00:14:15] up with a technical plan, after working with specialists from [00:14:19] the country and abroad for two months, how we could... [00:14:23] some solutions that would work from this year for Bucharest and for [00:14:27] Craiova with a minimal cost, 120 [00:14:30] million Lei was that project that I presented to the former prime minister and [00:14:33] for which he said okay, we'll see, we don't have this [00:14:37] money. Well, for whom does he govern if [00:14:40] not for the people, you cannot have an accounting approach that only [00:14:44] takes into account the deficit when you [00:14:47] come and bring additional taxes without growing the [00:14:51] economy? Now you are in another moment with Mr. Luca. [00:14:55] You say with the designated prime minister and [00:14:58] you want to enter government with Mr. Bolojan, about [00:15:01] whom you say he has an accounting approach, you don't want to break up [00:15:05] with PNL under any circumstances in government? I would not equate [00:15:08] a person with a party that has a history of over [00:15:12] 100 years that has, meaning detail do you think Mr. Bolojan [00:15:16] is on his own there in PNL, don't you see that he has support, I don't want to [00:15:19] comment on the political life of a party that is [00:15:23] a competitor with the Social Democratic Party. [00:15:37] But, do you think that people at home, people understand this strategy of [00:15:41] PSD, after you closed the door on Mr. [00:15:44] Bolojan, you cornered him, Mrs. Ștefănescu, we did not have [00:15:48] congresses, we did not have congresses in the Social Democratic Party where we said [00:15:52] that we will never form a government with the National Liberal Party or with [00:15:55] USR, they made this decision, but let's go beyond [00:15:59] this party issue and elevate ourselves a little to the national interest, [00:16:02] we to succeed Mr. Luca Niculescu who [00:16:06] has an irreproachable career. Who is a [00:16:09] career diplomat, who is a [00:16:12] professional, who has worked with all political parties throughout his [00:16:15] career, I have not seen any negative remarks from our [00:16:19] side and my colleagues from the Social Democratic Party, nor from other [00:16:22] leaders from the other parties, regarding his [00:16:26] quality as [00:16:27] a diplomat, [00:16:31] regardless of how well prepared he is, without a stable political [00:16:35] majority in the Romanian parliament he would be. only [00:16:38] a - scapegoat for all [00:16:41] the things that do not work in this country, and we are serious with Mr. [00:16:44] Luca Niculescu, when we told him that he needs not just a vote [00:16:48] of investiture in a few days, but he needs a [00:16:52] stable majority in parliament and transparent for six months, [00:16:56] a transparent majority or for two years on [00:16:59] a serious approach is to talk about this government until December [00:17:02] 2028 when the parliamentary elections are, this is [00:17:06] PSD's position. Those from PSD, yes, we from PSD have [00:17:09] 127 votes, we still need a minimum of 106 votes [00:17:13] that Luca Niculescu should have, it is impossible for us to collect these [00:17:16] votes, because it was not us who received the nomination for the position of Prime [00:17:20] Minister, we said very clearly, us, provided [00:17:23] that the 10 priority economic recovery measures are included [00:17:27] in the governing program, then in principle he [00:17:31] can rely on us, but only if we have the support [00:17:35] of other political parties that will come now. meaning other parties [00:17:38] PNL and UDMR, there are other [00:17:40] parties. [00:17:44] Basically it's a love-hate [00:17:47] relationship here. We didn't get to initiate a motion of [00:17:51] no confidence against Mr. Ilie Bolojan for reasons [00:17:54] related to his membership in a party or because [00:17:57] he comes and for the measures he took that did not even [00:18:01] take into account the opinion of the Social Democratic Party, but played on strength [00:18:05] in a coalition that is a coalition that. doesn't work, you have no [00:18:09] stability, [00:18:11] organized, we have the statements made [00:18:15] today by the leaders of the parties, by [00:18:18] the designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu, we also extracted a [00:18:21] fragment from what Mr. Ilie Bolojan posted about [00:18:24] this cooperation that he no longer wants with [00:18:28] PSD, but before we give these statements, Mr. Ivan, [00:18:31] why does PSD not have the courage to govern alone now with Mr. [00:18:35] Luca Niculescu, it's not about that. [00:18:43] We came with our proposal for prime minister, if we had received this nomination, [00:18:47] we would have gone to gather votes to pass this government. Mr. Niculescu's [00:18:50] proposal is from the President of Romania, [00:18:54] we from PSD came with the proposal to have Sorin Grindeanu as prime minister [00:18:58] to have political support. We were the only party [00:19:01] in Romania that went to these consultations with a name for [00:19:04] prime minister. [00:19:12] 127 votes are not enough, it doesn't just depend on us, and for us to [00:19:16] go with a political program that receives a vote of [00:19:19] investiture today and from tomorrow the popularism sarabande starts [00:19:22] in parliament which comes from all parties, represents a [00:19:25] political mistake in which we also put Mr. Luca Niculescu and represents a proof of [00:19:29] unseriousness, yes, in fact you care about Mr. Luca Niculescu, not about Mr. Sorin [00:19:33] Grindeanu, we care about Romania, we assumed with Mr. Sorin Grindeanu to be. [00:19:37] prime minister three or four months ago, we came with this proposal, [00:19:40] that's right, I was surprised to see that even though we are the first party in Romania [00:19:44] in the Romanian Parliament he was not nominated even for the fifth [00:19:48] nomination, and do you have an explanation at PSD, did you [00:19:50] discuss [00:19:53] I put myself in the shoes of Mr. President Nicușordan, why did he not [00:19:57] make this nomination, but you, because you just said that [00:20:01] you are Mr. Dâncu's apprentice, Mr. Dâncu does strategic [00:20:04] analysis, he was my professor at the university. Do you [00:20:07] do strategic analysis at PSD, don't you have an explanation for strategic [00:20:11] analysis at PSD, I was in charge of the [00:20:15] energy portfolio, I repeat once again, it's very difficult and [00:20:18] I would enter an area of speculation that has no real [00:20:21] basis, to say why the President [00:20:25] of Romania did not designate Mr. Sorin Grindeanu for the position of [00:20:28] prime minister, I believe that it would have been a first option, it should have been [00:20:32] this, the largest party in Romania came with an option, they were expecting [00:20:35] this option. But some say, in the meantime, we had five [00:20:39] right-wing proposals that all correct, some say in the public [00:20:43] space that in fact there is a secret agreement between Mr. Sorin [00:20:46] Grindeanu and President Nicușordan, what is your opinion? It wouldn't be talked about [00:20:50] in the public space, meaning it's a contradiction of terms, yes, it's mentioned in the public space, [00:20:54] do you know about this secret agreement, I don't know if such a thing exists and I don't [00:20:58] believe it, I don't believe it, I don't know if such a thing exists and I don't believe it because it would make [00:21:02] sense, if it's secret it wouldn't be talked about in the public space, the first [00:21:05] contradiction, analyses are done, at PSD I knew [00:21:08] that deep analyses are done, you say that for now we [00:21:11] often find out from television and not once, often [00:21:15] from television what each of us would have said and. [00:21:18] we will discuss immediately what is happening in PSD, let's [00:21:21] give the statements and return to the discussion, [00:21:25] we talked about [00:21:28] the emergencies that Romania and [00:21:31] Romanians and people need [00:21:34] for the rapid installation of a [00:21:37] government, because [00:21:40] we need a very urgent budget rectification, [00:21:43] we need a budget for next year, also until [00:21:47] the end of the year, because [00:21:51] the visit of rating agencies is [00:21:53] coming and we talked especially about what the people [00:21:56] of this country need, predictability, [00:21:59] transparency, trust and [00:22:03] it was, as I said, a substantial discussion, [00:22:06] at least for six months I would like there to be [00:22:10] such an agreement on the topics we discussed, these very [00:22:13] urgent ones, to prepare this government for the next two years, but [00:22:17] at least for six. To [00:22:20] have this minimal agreement on essential [00:22:23] issues that Romanians need. I said that I would prefer [00:22:26] a government that is political, because [00:22:30] or a mixed formula, [00:22:34] political, technocratic, because [00:22:37] I honestly believe that it has more power to [00:22:40] do the things that are needed for Romanians. A technocratic [00:22:43] government is an option, but it is not my first [00:22:46] option. Progress has been made compared to last week. [00:22:50] Discussions are open and I don't want to close [00:22:53] any door to [00:22:55] dialogue, for PNL and [00:22:58] UDMR, to be part of this [00:23:02] effort to get through this difficult [00:23:05] period, in which we have rectification, [00:23:09] we must have a new budget, in February rating [00:23:13] agencies will start coming again and [00:23:15] in spring we will do an evaluation, Luca [00:23:19] Niculescu. is not the Prime Minister of [00:23:21] PSD, [00:23:24] why should the Social Democratic Party assume him? It is [00:23:28] the President's proposal, I don't believe [00:23:31] in issues proposed [00:23:34] by Dominic Fritz, but would you be open to a government rotation? [00:23:38] No, but let me give a nuance. I don't [00:23:41] rule it out. The Social Democratic Party is prepared for early [00:23:44] elections. If this scenario is launched, we will start a [00:23:48] game of. Dominoes that at some point will [00:23:52] not be able to be [00:23:53] stopped. [00:23:57] Romania needs a functional government, and PNL is open [00:24:00] to contributing to its installation. However, we will not accept to [00:24:04] repeat political formulas that have proven to be dysfunctional. [00:24:07] The refusal to govern with PSD is not due to egos or political calculations, [00:24:11] but to the lesson we learned in the last year. PSD demonstrated that [00:24:15] it needs partners rather to have someone to blame when [00:24:19] blocks it. necessary and to protect their own [00:24:23] interests, including through the use of public [00:24:26] resources. To show how the direction changes, how the horn of abundance [00:24:29] overflows the country and at the same time, how it avoids blowing [00:24:33] up Romania's budget. But it refuses, [00:24:36] without the participation of the PNL. Why do they need the PNL? Why are they pulling [00:24:39] the PNL to spoil their change of direction and miraculous [00:24:43] solutions? Because assuming governance also means assuming [00:24:46] responsibility, as we were willing to assume it. through [00:24:50] the Muresan minority government, rejected by the PSD. Without [00:24:53] the PNL there would be another shield, and the PSD would have someone else to blame [00:24:57] when the promises, which cannot be honored, turn out to be empty [00:25:01] words. We will not vote for a [00:25:05] government in which there are PSD [00:25:07] ministers. On the other hand, and this is again [00:25:11] not new, I told him [00:25:15] that if there is [00:25:18] a possibility of a PNL government. [00:25:22] USR, UDMR, with him as prime minister, it is, for [00:25:25] sure, something that we would look at [00:25:28] with great openness, I saw in public [00:25:32] that Sorin Grindeanu is also open to such [00:25:35] a variant and it might be [00:25:38] this, the unblocking that is needed, [00:25:42] what we will not do however is to [00:25:45] prolong this [00:25:48] agony, we will not make secret [00:25:52] arrangements, we see that all the conditions set [00:25:55] by the constitution for early elections [00:25:58] have been met and that is why I have... I said very openly and [00:26:02] frankly, that if [00:26:06] this government [00:26:09] does not manage to form a majority once again [00:26:12] assumed that does not then have a parallel [00:26:16] majority between PSD and AUR in Parliament, then the healthiest [00:26:20] solution for the country and the most honest one for [00:26:23] the citizens are early [00:26:25] elections. [00:26:28] What do you say, Mr. Ivan, PSD, early elections, are you preparing? [00:26:32] We said this, we were and are prepared to receive the nomination [00:26:36] for the position of prime minister and to assume a serious governance that will get Romania out of [00:26:39] the crisis, we didn't receive it, and if no political consensus is reached, [00:26:43] I said it today in our internal meetings, the party president also [00:26:46] said it at the end, we are also prepared for this scenario of early [00:26:50] elections, it is not desirable, but if there is no other formula to find a formula [00:26:54] for governance, yes, and regarding Mr. Bolojan's statements, [00:26:57] if we do a survey among people and if we [00:27:01] ask the most informed. to mention at least one reform that Mr. Ilie [00:27:04] Bolojan did apart from firing two bulldozer drivers from some town halls and three [00:27:08] waiters from the government, I don't know how to find it, he turned on the light in [00:27:11] the pantry or made other concrete and measurable reforms, if we were to talk about that and [00:27:15] second, if he keeps saying that PSD is blocking, he should come and say publicly where, who, with [00:27:19] full name from PSD blocked the flourishing vision of this [00:27:22] horn of abundance for Romania, which only you, I see, are critical [00:27:26] of Mr. Bolojan, and I repeat, you want him to remain a partner. [00:27:30] towards Mr. Bolojan as a person, but [00:27:32] towards his actions and his statements which, this deadlock cannot be [00:27:36] overcome, so Romania remains in this deadlock, we said [00:27:40] it, if you were to do an analysis of the statements of both myself and [00:27:43] my colleague from [00:27:46] last week, since Mr. Luca Niculescu came and we had a [00:27:50] civilized discussion at the Social Democratic Party headquarters in [00:27:53] which we presented solutions to overcome this economic crisis of [00:27:57] Romania, he was open to the suggestions we [00:28:00] presented which he should include. [00:28:09] We are not talking about friendship, we are talking about serious things for Romania, and from the point of view of the governing program [00:28:13] that should be voted on, it needs legitimacy from other [00:28:16] parties as well, it can include serious ideas from the PNL and from [00:28:20] the UDMR and other parties, because I am convinced that if [00:28:23] it does not have the votes at this hour or you know it has them, [00:28:27] to what extent will this cabinet pass, I know it has [00:28:30] them in the situation where it includes. [00:29:02] since this coalition PSD, PNL, [00:29:06] UDMR started functioning, which functioned and did good things for Romania, it took 48 [00:29:09] hours since there was another prime minister until a new government was formed, now it's five [00:29:13] months that it's been discussed, discussed, discussed, because [00:29:17] no one knows who is part of [00:29:20] this government, although there are three days left until this, [00:29:24] I repeat, there were situations where consultations [00:29:27] began, the governing [00:29:30] program, [00:29:32] in 48 hours, so you are optimistic that there is time for these things to happen [00:29:36] at the moment when you, sir, [00:29:39] enter the government? I don't, I but every time I became [00:29:43] a member of the government, I became a member of the Social Democratic Party, under the Social [00:29:47] Democratic Party, regardless of the prime minister's name, and if I get there, I will [00:29:50] get there based on the proposal of my colleagues from the Social Democratic Party. I do not do politics as [00:29:54] an individual and I will never do it. What chances do you give a PSD [00:29:58] AUR government? At the moment, I don't see this discussion as [00:30:01] a priority. To be very explicit, I don't [00:30:04] see it, at the moment we are talking, [00:30:08] a dialogue partner for PSD, there are [00:30:11] projects in parliament that were voted on by [00:30:15] AUR, and by PNL, and by PSD, a [00:30:19] complex discussion, I start from a very clear premise that at the [00:30:23] moment we must have a government of zero priority, and [00:30:26] in politics you have to have discussions with everyone, that does not automatically mean that [00:30:30] you agree, you can discuss. to conclude that you don't agree with [00:30:34] what you talked about with a person when you sat at the table with him, regardless of the party he [00:30:38] belongs to, so you leave the door open for this dialogue, it's not about that, now [00:30:42] we have a nomination in the person of Mr. Luca Niculescu, we from [00:30:45] PSD in the last three months we worked on a governing program together with the private [00:30:49] sector, with specialists from universities, from companies, [00:30:52] from civil society to deliver real solutions with clear [00:30:55] deadlines with [00:30:59] get Romania out of the crisis.
