00:00:16Hello, I'm Tiny Arnold with your latest sports news. Manchester
00:00:20City's first game since being found guilty of breaching Premier League
00:00:23of financial regulations
00:00:25of ends in victory as they outclass Liverpool. Red Bulls
00:00:29Max for stappen. secures his first win at the Singapore Grand Prix to
00:00:32take his second victory within a week and Alexander
00:00:36Zvarev hits another milestone in his standout season to notch his
00:00:4060th tour level victory of
00:00:422026.
00:01:00Manchester City have played and
00:01:02of won their first game since being found guilty of breaching the Premier League's
00:01:05financial rules. They beat
00:01:07of Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield, one
00:01:09of the teams beaten to the title by City. During the period, the
00:01:13tribunal said they had sham
00:01:14of contracts a misstated accounts. They're appealing the
00:01:18decision. Enzo Moresca side restored their three-point lead at the
00:01:22top
00:01:22of the table emphatic fashion getting their three goals after Liverpool
00:01:26had Ryan Gravenburg sent off. Moresca felt the players managed. the
00:01:30situation well, yeah, very proud, very, very
00:01:34proud for the players, because I know how tough has been for them, in the last two
00:01:38weeks, three weeks, the noise and this kind of things, but again very proud
00:01:42for the performance, I think we struggle a little bit first half, we were
00:01:45not good enough on the ball in terms of buildup,
00:01:49of then second half, I think we were much better, the red card also
00:01:52was much better for us because changed the game,
00:01:56but again after you two three weeks.
00:02:00with all the situation, all the noise, our target is just to deal with
00:02:04the noise, that is
00:02:05the only thing we can do and try to make our noise, that is to to win
00:02:08games, we play two different games probably today, one game
00:02:12until the red card, i think 62 minutes where i think
00:02:16players have been very
00:02:20good, i think we've been the the best team, we haven't materialized and it
00:02:23probably has arrived in our best moment, the the
00:02:26of red card and second game from from then where i think city
00:02:30has been better obviously than us. the BBC sports
00:02:34editor Dan Roame was at Anfield and told us what this victory might mean for
00:02:38city and the Premier League going forward. it
00:02:41brands itself as the most popular league in the world, it's a big export for the
00:02:44country, but it does have this huge question mark hanging over
00:02:48it when we don't yet know what City's fate is, and of course, if you look back
00:02:52as well, the the span of wrong doing was from
00:02:562009 to 2018, but many feel that the years...
00:03:00after as well, city have benefited from that financial
00:03:04cheating, it enabled them to spend lot more money than they
00:03:06of should have
00:03:06been able to spend, and that had legacy, that then built and laid the
00:03:10foundations for future years during the Guardiola years, and right up until
00:03:14now, if you look at the depth of City's squad, many
00:03:18will conclude that that is - the squad is a
00:03:22of beneficiary of that behavior in the past. It was an
00:03:25entertaining Sunday afternoon at the MKM stadium as Hull and
00:03:29Everton. played out two-all draw. Hall had taken the lead
00:03:33shortly after halftime before Kin and Jewsburry Hall and Tieno
00:03:36Barry fired Everton in front, but Mohamed Ballumi leveled
00:03:40things so the points were shared as both sides continue their good starts to the
00:03:44season. They made mistakes, we punished them
00:03:48immediately, but unfortunately after this we gave them two
00:03:51goals, so yes, it's a big big cardinal mistakes
00:03:54and um, I can be happy with the the boys
00:03:58because we showed the... mentality, good mentality, we
00:04:01equalized to too, and then you know
00:04:04uh point is on the end of good and congratulations b
00:04:08team for their performance today, really frustrated with
00:04:12the game generally, our levels were way below, we were been
00:04:15recently uh disappointed that we didn't when
00:04:19we went 2-1 up thought
00:04:21it was bad enough going one nil down, but we went 2-1 up didn't i didn't think there'd be any way we
00:04:24would we would go on not to win the
00:04:27game, there was no happy return. to Crystal Palace for the
00:04:31Nottingham
00:04:31of Forest Manager Oliver Glasner as his side were beaten
00:04:343-1. Glasner left Palace at the end
00:04:37of the season before joining Forest, his side did take early lead
00:04:41through Dan and Doy, but two quick palace goals before halfime
00:04:45turned things around before Jeremi Pino got their third. It's
00:04:48Palace's second win
00:04:49of the season and moves them up to 12th while Forest a
00:04:5214th. We struggled lot against the
00:04:56good team, Nottingham.
00:05:01uh analyze us well and i think the
00:05:04attack
00:05:05in a space we we were in in difficulty
00:05:08today, but at the end we win and that's... the
00:05:12most important thing, so many chances, but
00:05:16um, I told them, I think today it was just, and this happens
00:05:20sometimes,
00:05:20I don't know, call it karma or whatever, I think I didn't deserve to win
00:05:24here at Selhors Park after what happened the last more than two years here,
00:05:28because the players,
00:05:29I think was our best performance, especially in the attack, and but
00:05:33yeah, today it shouldn't be, Salt return to the top the
00:05:37Scottish Premiership with two-nil win at Motherwell, having lost
00:05:413-6. sucessive matches before the international break, Celtic were in need
00:05:45of a good performance for Motherwell. It was their fourth successive
00:05:49league defeat, and Josh Fouler's early penalty and St. Johnston a
00:05:531-il win at Aberdeen. It was their first win on the road this season and moves
00:05:57them up to fifths. Real Betis continued their good
00:06:01start to the season with a big win over Ososuna 5-2, that
00:06:04moves them back above Real Madrid into third in La Liga. Real
00:06:08Sociadad are up to sixth after beating Deportivo 3. and
00:06:12Valencia moved off the bottom the table with draw at rassing
00:06:16Santander. Freiberg went to top the
00:06:20Bundesliga after late winner meant they beat Schalker 2-1. The
00:06:24black forest side took advantage of Borussia Dortmund drawing
00:06:27tool with Verda Bremen on Friday and Bayern Munich managing the
00:06:31same score at Alsburg on Saturday. Britia Munch and
00:06:34Gladback are the Bundesliga's bottom side. They lost again
00:06:38two-1 away their fifth loss in five games so
00:06:42far. this season. Red
00:06:45Bulls Max Vastappen took his second victory within a week as he
00:06:49secured his first win in the Singapore Grand Prix.
00:06:53The Stapin fought off attack from Ferrari's Charles to at
00:06:57the start to control the race. The win followed his and Red Bull's
00:07:01main victory the year in Malaysia last weekend and alongside his
00:07:04sprink race success in Singapore on Saturday. It confirms the team's
00:07:08reemergence as major force. Kimmy Antonilli's third.
00:07:12means he can clinch his first world title at the next race in the
00:07:16United States, but this weekend belonged to for
00:07:19stappen. we had pace when we needed to have
00:07:23it on
00:07:24the on the soft tire and on the medium, even though i think the medium tire for everyone was a
00:07:28bit more of
00:07:29a of a struggle with it, it worked out, so of course very happy to uh to win
00:07:33here. steve smith produced slip
00:07:36fielding masterclass on day three the first test against South Africa
00:07:40in Durban. Smith took... four catches in the South Africa
00:07:44innings, moving him above Joe Route to 223 catches,
00:07:48the most by a non-wicket keeper in test cricket. The homeside were all
00:07:52out for 284. Australia ended the day on 33
00:07:56without loss to give
00:07:57them a lead 139 runs. Elsewhere
00:08:01India took a 2-1 lead in their best of five T20 series
00:08:05against the West Indies. Batting first, India posted an impressive
00:08:09223 from their 20 overs, built large...
00:08:13on rapid fire 69 from Abishek Sharma in just
00:08:1630 balls in the second match the series, the West Indies chased
00:08:20250, but there was no repeat of that as they fell short
00:08:24by 14
00:08:26runs. Alexander Zvarev beat
00:08:29Quentin Hallis in three sets at the Shanghai Masters for his 60th
00:08:33tour level win the season. He plays Alexander
00:08:37Bobek in the fourth round and will clinch the year end world number
00:08:41one ranking if reaches the semi-finals, but the German player
00:08:45was keen to stress that a win loss record doesn't fully reflect a year in
00:08:48which he won two grandslam titles and reach the final of
00:08:52another. I feel like
00:08:56this year I've been picking uh my
00:09:00tournaments and picking my my places where I want to peak um and I
00:09:04feel like I did that quite well um I didn't do that in the early
00:09:08stages of my career I wanted to play well every single turnment and I feel like this year
00:09:12"i've been working through lot of tournaments, i've been lifting through lot of
00:09:15tournaments um and had maybe some losses which i
00:09:19shouldn't have had, um, but then it paid off because uh,
00:09:23i want two grand slamps and picked at the right moments and made another winble in final,
00:09:27so um, i'm happy, i'm happy with that,
00:09:31and men's tennis legend Roger Federa joined kainishkuri in Tokyo
00:09:35on Sunday, his fans gathered to celebrate the Japanese stars career following
00:09:39his recent announcement that he'll retire at the end of..." the
00:09:42season, Federa is one the most decorated players in tennis history and
00:09:46took part in the event honoring Nishikuri's achievements and
00:09:50contributions to the sport. When I came
00:09:54up in Switzerland, which is 10 times smaller than uh
00:09:57Japan, uh, we already had Grand Slam champions and Olympic champions
00:10:01in our country like Hingis and Rose and and other
00:10:05players, and I feel like K was one of those players
00:10:08who who had to break through a ceiling that didn't exist really,
00:10:13"now um, you were the first player into the top 40, top
00:10:1630, top 20, top 10, top five, and it kept on going, so I think he
00:10:20pushed the bar uh, incredibly
00:10:23high for. the country uh, especially when it
00:10:27comes to the men's game, and that also takes a lot of strength and belief
00:10:31that you actually can do it. reminder of our top
00:10:35story, Manchester City have beaten Liverpool in their first match since being
00:10:39found guilty of breaking the Premier League's financial rules. there's more
00:10:42analysis on that on the BBC Sport website and
00:10:46app, but from me and the rest the team here at the BBC Sports
00:10:50Center. Goodbye for
00:10:51now.
00:11:19Hello, the moisture that old tropical storm Rachel has brought in will
00:11:23power some rain across the south. west, the intermountain region, we're
00:11:27looking at variable amounts of rain, 25 to 75 millimeter rain, could be heavy
00:11:31enough to cause some localized flidding impacts, heavy snow that we've seen over the
00:11:35weekend in Montana will slowly begin to fade away and rain will clear
00:11:38away from eastern areas the United States, lots of warm weather developing
00:11:42then across central and southern states, we've got
00:11:46extremely powerful hurricane Simon bringing torrential
00:11:49rain to Halisco state in particular as well as damaging guss of
00:11:53wind that hurricane. has sustain winds of 145 miles an hour,
00:11:57looks like the center might well just stay offshore, but we'll continue to pubble
00:12:01that state in particular. now we got some heavy rain and thunderstorms
00:12:05into areas of southern Brazil and Paraguay, get around 50 to
00:12:09100 millimeter rain from these big downpours, again that could be enough to cause some
00:12:12impacts. looking at the weather in Italy, a trough bringing some very
00:12:16heavy thundery downpours here, some thunder storms developed, some of those could
00:12:20be severe as we head into the afternoon, maybe even with an odd water spout, we've got some
00:12:24rain. pushing into Romania and Bulgaria, that's a cold front bringing
00:12:28cooler weather in to Bucharest. Now we'll take a look at the weather picture in
00:12:32Africa, a trough will bring some showers into Angola, parts of
00:12:36Namibia, western areas of South Africa. We've also got a
00:12:39trough bringing some heavy downpours into Algeria and Morocco, lots of
00:12:43thunderstorms here, some of those could have some hail mixed in. The weather
00:12:47looks unsettled across the Middle East with showers quite wide spread over the next 24 hours,
00:12:51pushing the way eastwards across Lebanon, Jordan. Syria
00:12:55and into areas of Iraq. The monsoon continues to withdraw from
00:12:59Northeast India and Bangladesh, the weather becoming dryer here, but area
00:13:03of low pressure looks set to develop in the southern bare Bengal, this is going to bring some
00:13:07heavier rain I think into Sri Lanka over the next few
00:13:10days. Very powerful typhoon agita is going to
00:13:14be steered away from Japan over the next few days as an area
00:13:18of high pressure keeps the weather mostly settled in Japan. Heavy showers
00:13:22continue to affect parts of Vietnam and got number areas low pressure bringing
00:13:26widespread downpours to Malaysia, southern areas of Thailand and
00:13:30Satra in Indonesia, some areas will see over 100 millimeters of rain,
00:13:34some torrential dowrs also on the cards in New South Wales, southern parts of
00:13:38Queensland could be heavy enough to cause some localized flooding, windy weather in
00:13:41Tasmania, we'll start see some rain in the south of New Zealand, otherwise
00:13:45mostly fine and warm. If you
